1. This guy is possessive ASF and he will try restraining you since he's scared that you'll leave him and all that. Hell, he'd even go as far as to lock you up in a room or something to make sure you don't escape since he wants to be with you ALWAYS 

2. Well, on a scale from 1-10 this guy won't hurt you so much, so imma give him a 3/10. He's lazy to hurt you properly and doesn't want his darling kitten to be scared of him, but that doesn't mean you should let your guard down. if you try acting up and behaving like a brat, he'll just wrap you up in his scarves 

3. When it comes to hurting others, he'll need a good reason to kill or hurt them since...well, he IS a pro hero and he has a reputation and an image to uphold and maintain. But, he will be like an incarnation of Satan and Hitler COMBINED to people who won't back the FLIP away from you or try stealing you away from him 

4. After he gets to meet you, he won't kidnap you instantly since he needs his time to prepare everything for you from your favorite book series to some cuddly stuffed animals and all that. Not to mention a super comfy bedroom for you

5. This guy will certainly stalk you, no doubt about that, but he'll be secretive when it comes to it. You're a pro hero and so, he's gotta be aware of how he's gonna charm his way into you heart and your life. He's a very patient guy.

6. Do NOT try manipulating him at ALL since this guy is really clever and he will certainly see through your acts. His punishments for you trying to escape will include either locking you in your room for a whole day or emotionally manipulating you. He won't hit you and all that, so no worries 

7. He's like a dad. He's always soft when you're compliant. He doesn't care if you're the clingiest person in the world, in fact, he adores it. He wants you to come bother him and distract him from his work. And don't forget about his HIDEOUS fashion sense (Lol, Aoyama would go INSANE if he realizes Aizawa has no taste in clothes) So, sometimes when he goes shopping for buying you ugly sweaters with cats on them, you literally have to BEG him to buy you some decent clothes since the clothes he brought are just so.... ugly

8. He shows his affection with cuddles, makes you feel loved in his warm embrace, keeping you safe out of trouble. He likes giving you headpats since you're shorter than him and occasionally, out of habit, when the two of you are lounging on the couch or in bed, he will rub your hair like he would a cat

9. Overall, he isn't so bad. He might even consider buying you a pet cat or any animal you want for company since he understands that you'll be bored out of your skull when he's gone

1) Feyre's constant edginess. It's such a bizarre and ham-fisted shift in the voice of the character from the previous book. Too much tell, not enough show

3) Feyre all of a sudden knowing how to use every power she has despite her very limited "training"

4) constant mention of Lucien and Elain's mating bond. Not only do I not give a damn, I REALLY wish it wasn't a thing all together

5) CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN THE IMPORTANCE OF THE MORTAL QUEENS TO ME? WHO TF EVEN ARE THEY?? It's so stupid that they don't get brought up until feyre is a fae like we have no clue the humans even have an overarching government until she's not human anymore. Why are they turning them Fae? What possible advantages can they grant the fae that they don't have already? How tf are there so many queens when the human territory is so small? For that matter, why tf is Hybern going to war over a tiny handful of humans? Why involve this convoluted plot with turning the mortal queens into Fae when it seems like the humans don't even know of their existence so they wouldn't listen to or follow them in the first place

if you're interested to know about the show- you really didn't miss much lol especially you having been a fan for so long what they showed in AYS wasn't anything we haven't seen before except for not hiding their bodies like they usually do. The show didn't show me anything new about their dynamic or them as people. They spent 80% of the time at restaurants or just eating the other 10% was actual activities 5% of them talking (which by the way they really have nothing substantial to talk about it which was probably the only surprising thing about this show- their conversations were either bringing up the other members or them bickering about something dumb) you can tell there was alot of dead silence that was edited out because one moment they're talking then it gets quiet then it cuts to them on their phone lol the last 5% i would say was what people consider typical jikook like jimin being affectionate playful touches yadda yadda yadda

all in all it was kind of eh. I feel as though tbe target audience was for heavily jikook biased only because as an outsider I can't imagine how boring it must have been- even for an army I bet it was okay for them.

After so many years I've learned how to navigate through content and watch only the parts I'm interested in, and that's basically what I did to watch Jimin's clips because I wanted to see what he looked like, or some of his opinions.

I can also tell when something might be relevant or it could be new information, so I watch that too. I'm also able to realize if I need more context around a clip or gif, and in that case I usually look for a longer clip, subtitles, translations, etc. I might even go to the source and watch the episode myself, which is what I did for example when taekook had that conversation in ITS 1. I never watched the show, but I have watched that episode. Gifs, pictures and clips without context are reactionary mostly, and people post them for fun or whatever. But when you go to the source content more often than not is not that impressive after getting the full picture.

As for the show, there's a post I made months ago, around the time it was announced, where I said I had questions about 2022, 2023, and they weren't going to give me answers, so I couldn't bring myself to be interested. And nothing has proven me wrong so far. Them saying they didn't really meet up in 2023 wasn't one of my questions, I was already certain of that so it was more of a confirmation. All in all, I knew how they were going to act because I've been watching them every single day for the past 7 years.

Watching Jimin listen to his music was probably the most relevant thing to me lol. Because we hadn't really seen that! He basically went MIA a while after face, and besides from the hot 100 live, we didn't get to see many of his reactions to his own music. I'm not talking about reacting to achievements but him just listening and appreciating his songs.

Also, his body. Like. I really thought we'd never ever see his full moon tattoo that way.

I've started watching the last episode because it's one of the last stuff Jimin filmed before enlisting, so I want to see it. I still haven't finished it, but yeah I'm watching that just fyi.

I disagree that Jimin was touchy, though. In fact I've noticed he's rather reserved in his interactions with Jungkook, compared to what he used to be like up to 2021ish. But that's also something that's been noticeable for a couple of years. For the record, I don't think any of them were touchy or clingy or none of that stuff. There's a reason the only clip people I've seen people use of them touching is the one from the first or second episode 😭 that's like 1 minute out of 9 hours of content.

my top 3 are "alternate universe - modern setting" (8/10), "alternate universe - college/university" (5/10), and "not beta read" (5/10, which is funny because 10/10 are not beta read lol)

and yeah, I can't say they don't represent me. when I was on ff.net I used a beta (my mom lmao) but now my grasp of English grammar is much better. I still miss stuff all the time (I found a word use error rereading something I'd published like a year and a half prior and wanted to scream lol), but it is what it is. even though I have professional editing credentials, it's really hard to edit your own stuff because your brain still fills in what it expects to see

re: modern setting and college setting, I started off my account publishing a couple college AU Fullmetal Alchemist one-shots; the only other college fic I had was my second prompt fill for the Arcane timebomb secret santa, where the prompt was to write in a modern setting. so that's all the college fics and 5/8 of the modern setting. another modern one is high school, since when I finished Arcane I felt a deep need to write Ekko in a high school setting because rarely had I felt so compelled by a single character. and the last two are the revolution universe, which is a funny story

idk how much I've mentioned this before, but the reason revolution is a modern setting is because I wanted to see if I could make an Ekko/Jinx roleswap work without the help of any of the story's magical elements. to restrict myself, I changed the setting. from there, developing modern Piltover/Zaun was just really fun. I took a lot of cues from the aforementioned high school setting fic I wrote and turned them up to 11. it has been and still is a fun ride, so I'm not mad about that choice at all

3. What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?

hmmmmmmm lol well line breaks! I like to make detailed little line breaks. some show up better on one platform than another (for example, the revolution telephone line breaks look WAY better on desktop imo), but I think they are cute

in terms of more trope-related things, I actually had a hard time for a moment. I went and looked at some fics of mine to try and find an answer

humor is one, for sure. big believer in laughing even on the worst day of your life. I think that's how I survived mine, and I think the characters I write about would be the same, finding something absurd or funny even when things are really bad

another one, I think, is attention to the mundane. I'm not a super detailed writer; purple prose isn't really my personal style. but I like writing about boring things. little things, you know?

the last one I'll bring up is setup and payoff. that's one of my personal favorite writing devices. I really enjoy putting the pieces in place and watching it all come together is always really satisfying. especially when combined with a focus on the mundane. like I have one story where Ekko's wearing a tie, and it matters.

hmmmmm well I don't know if there are any I'd want to see just adapted straight into a fic, or nothing comes to mind directly. or maybe it's that the songs I am thinking of are more vibes than plot? well anyway, Willow's Symptom of Life is one I really like lately, as well as Sampha and Little Simz's Satellite Business 2.0, Kenny Mason's Firestarter (or Metal Wings tbh, or like the entirety of Angelic Hoodrat), and Isaiah Rashad's Headshots (4 Da Locals)

for Fullmetal, Swallows on the Beam is a long-time fave; the detail of the worldbuilding is really great, and I love the amount of thought put into a setting that isn't even seen in the canon material. the prose is just really lovely too. the author has done such an incredible job, and I need to go through and actually comment on all the chapters someday, but I have so much to say that I know it'll take me forever lol. but like how can a scene of a character touching another character's earring make me lose my shit? that is the magic of this fic lol. one of the most romantic things I have ever read

for Hunter x Hunter, I really love a thousand miles wandering; the Silk Road setting is just so unique! the prose is great, character work is great, setting is worked into the story in a great way. all feels like generic praise, but the whole thing is just so well-rounded in its excellence

for Arcane, my favorite has always been The Revolution Will Not Be Televised; just has such an infectious energy. it's fun, funny, and it takes this fantasy setting and makes it feel very real, which in turn helps the characters feel even more real than they do in the show, in some ways

Massive nerd. Literature anarchist, will say anything is literature and he’s right. If he was in a stuffy high literature class in some university he would write his term paper on a comic book or a video game or something, and he constantly references any type of storytelling medium. LEGEND OF FEI [2020] Gotta start with the obvious, because I'll recommend this drama forever even to everyone who has started and can't get into it, I'll always be like, please try again lol It's feminist, fun, feel-good but with very nicely done heavy moments every few episodes, important messages about life and about becoming who you want to be, it has my, at this point, favorite cdrama ship ever, yunfei my beloved!! relationship goals! friendships, funny dynamics, siblings, AMAZING characters and...so much more, I won't continue because I'll never stop lmao

UNEXPECTED [2018] Such an underrated Drama! I don't know why it's so underrated, especially because it's made by the same writer as a very popular drama (The Romance of Tiger and Rose) and the stories are very similar, which I know can be boring but they also have differences that make each drama unique, there's just the same premise of a writer traveling into their own story.

I'VE FALLEN FOR YOU [2020] The perfect rom-com historical drama, with a very fun plot and with plot twists you don't expect, such good characters and two amazing ships! Comfort drama for sure!

THE LOVE BY HYPNOTIC [2019] If you love palace romance, arranged marriage turned true love, a few crazy (but very entertaining) villains and a love story for the ages! Even though it has some very heavy moments, it's one of my comfort dramas as well, because it also includes some VERY FUNNY moments, like I just love dramas that can somehow balance comedy, romance and serious moments so well!

THE QUEEN OF ATTACK [2021] There's so many short dramas nowadays and 80% of them have the same plot of someone traveling into a story lol and yes, this is one of them BUT it's such a good drama like it's insane, I'll wish forever it was a normal length one, but it's still so good, the episodes are 9-10 mins each but there are two seasons, and the episodes have been combined, so eventually it's like having a normal drama with 12 normal length episodes (6 for s1 and 6 for s2). It's so worth it and the two actors are so talented and have such good chemistry, plus the story is unique too, yes this premise has been done many times but I think they still made it so unique and different from others.

THE STARRY LOVE [2023] A recent drama and quite popular, but I'll still recommend it always. Other than the last episode that was a bit disappointing and rushed (still a happy-ish ending though), it's my favorite Xianxia and it was just so good, the story, the cinematography, THE OST, the actors, the ships, the friendships, the sisters, ALL THE WOMEN, youqin literally making all other MLs take notes from him on how to be the best ml out there, so many reasons to watch this drama, just ignore the last part and pretend we saw what they forgot to show us lol

LOVE LIKE THE GALAXY [2022] Where do I even begin??? (This is the first Zhao Lusi drama i recommend in this list, but I just wanna mention, I recommend almost all of them.) Anyway, LLTG is by far my favorite political drama, and non wuxia/xianxia historical cdrama. It's so different and unique, there's literally nothing like it. It's a slow paced drama, with very long scenes (you might only have 3-4 scenes in one episode for example) and it's the reason why It got me a while to get to it, but now I'M SO IN LOVE WITH IT!!! There is not an episode I don't enjoy, it's pure art. Cheng Shao Shang is one of my favorite girls ever and her and Ling Buyi???? I'D DIE FOR THEIR LOVE. Their chemistry is so so so good, now Zhao Lusi can have chemistry with a tree, it's true but still, one of the best cdrama ships out there. Even though I never truly watched classic cdramas like Nirvana on Fire and those "older" ones, I think LLTG somehow is the closest to those except it also loves its characters and focuses on romance more than any older political cdrama did but it works so so well.

LIGHTER AND PRINCESS [2022] Favorite modern drama! I gotta be honest I'm not verrrryyyy into modern cdramas, I like a few, even love some, but generally it's hard to find a modern cdrama I'll go crazy over...but L&P changed that. Or well, it's still hard, maybe even harder now, to find something that tops it, but L&P is just so so good. Again, a quite popular drama, maybe it doesn't need the recommendation, but I have to mention it anyway 'cause it's my baby and I just cannot make a favorite cdramas list without it! Some reasons to watch: One of the best love stories out there, with such good angst and just everything you need on a ship, two main characters so unique that you'll definitely relate to (at least in some aspects), one of the best OSTS ever, perfect cinematography, directing and writing and one of my favorite endings on any show ever!

Whenever I see a really good fic or writing piece online, I go, "Wow, what this person wrote was SO amazing that I want to write my own amazing thing!"

Not only am I gonna share a snippet, I'm also gonna explain why I'm so proud of it.

Here it is:

... Brown eyes begin to sparkle at that fact. Caleb had no idea! He casts a smile down at his mother’s stomach, giving it a light pat.

“I’m so glad God decided to gift you to us, Philip,” Caleb “speaks” to his little brother.

The corners of his mouth soften.

This is from the short, canon divergent story I wrote titled "A New Addition".

In this scene, a (I'll say 5 since I didn't state his age in the story, but you can tell he's a small child) year old Caleb has just been told by his mother where baby's come from. Heaven! They're gifts from gods (her words).

The reason I'm so proud of this piece is because I love how sweet and sincere I made Little Caleb at the end. He's just so grateful that God gave Philip as a gift to him and his family and he can't wait to see / meet him. 🥹

It shows how Caleb has always loved Philip (even in his unborn baby state).

Digimon Adventure (Manga) - Vol. 2

Not gonna lie, this has been kinda a boring read. It actually might of been better if I waited awhile to read it and the first Digimon season wasn't so fresh in my mind. Can't help but compare the two and see this as a downgrade. Ah well, least it's short.

Ch. 8

-This jumped from Infinity Mountain and fighting Leomon/Ogremon to the haunted mansion bit so quickly. It's a pretty common issue with these anime adaptations that they just want to hit the major story beats and they don't let the characters breathe. I'm not saying the characters were super well rounded in the show either, but if I didn't have that background knowledge I probably wouldn't be able to tell you a thing about these kids.

-To this day Ogremon's design really bugs me. Just destined to have his mouth hanging open forever...

Ch. 9

-I had conflated the haunted mansion and haunted church episodes in my mind. Very similar plot lines. I think it was more noticeable here because they smooshed them back-to-back.

-Apparently Bakemon can combine to form "Lord Bakemon," but it's not a digivolution, it's just like a technique that requires multiple digimon I guess. (Hey, I wonder if the use that concept in the video games...?)

-Impressed that they didn't try to localize the Buddhist sutras. I thought Bakemon's "that sounds vaguely anti-evil" and Sora's "what if he's not Buddhist?" lines were funny

Ch. 10

-I feel like the art was really good in this chapter for some reason. Maybe the artist is just particularly good at drawing Izzy/Mimi?

-Pretty sure no one in real life has exclaimed "prodigious" ever. (Does it count as 90s slang if it was only used in fiction?)

-Patamon suggests TK sing to the crying baby digimon and he immediately jumps to NSYNC lol (well, it does have the word "baby" in it...). Wonder what he sang in the Chinese version...

Ch. 11

-Huh, they stuffed a lot into this one. We got the Elecmon chapter in Primary Village, but then we got the battle with Leomon which transitioned into the whole digi-destined backstory thing. Again, no info is really lost with this pacing, it just feels rushed.

-Never noticed how frog-like Elecmon is until now, especially with how his eyes are drawn.

-Very confused by Leomon in this chapter. They note that he grew huge, which makes me think that he digivolved (maybe into Panjamon?) but they just keep on calling him Leomon. Digimon have never been shown to canonically grow in size outside of digivolving (except for weight in the video games) so yeah...-shrug-

Ch. 12

-The end of the Devimon arc and the introduction of Angemon. I really wish the kids had a breather between Devimon's defeat and Gennai showing up and telling them about the tags and crests. It really makes for an anti-climax when they're like "Devimon was nothing compared to the next guy!" immediately after the battle.

-Why isn't Angemon resurrected in Primary Village again...? I guess it's different when there's a tamer around.

Ch. 13

-Lol I'm now remembering how lame a plot point the tags were. The crests are all meaningful and allow for great single-character focused episodes, but the tags are just like "oop, found em." Also, I guess they're all the same? Pretty pointless. They honestly coulda found the crests already inside the tags and it wouldn't have made a difference.

Ch. 14

-Okay, so I said that the crests were better than the tags, but Taichi's crest moment is actually also pretty lame. I guess he was ~courageous~ for saving Tokomon, but he does stuff like that every episode and it didn't feel particularly special/memorable.

-I wouldn't go as far to say that Etemon's grown on me, but I don't really hate him anymore. I tolerate him lol. At least he's got more of a personality than most of the other villains.

Yes and no. Yomi can be annoying at times but Kafka knows he doesn't mean it most of the time. He knows his brother well enough to know the mushroom has some difficulties being less annoying.

Yeah, Kafka and 9 are siblings. Born into the same clutch but have different sires, hench why they look so different from each other. Yomi took more after his sire then he did from his mother. Aside from a few traits that he and Kafka share.

See, while Yomi looks like his first canon verson, there are a few physical difference between him and his canon counterpart, along with personality difference too. I did not name him 'death' for no good reason. Aside from that its a name that would also match his canon counterpart as well.

For one, Yomi has a far darker complexion then in canon due to their mother having black as her main colour. He's not completely black mind you, but its still a pretty surprising thing to see when comapred with canon 9. He also sports crack like marks around his body, especially on his head is where you can find most of them. They also glow and are often the best way for his human owners to know his moods.

Another trait he also share with Kafka is a natural affinity to electricity. Though he ain't as good at it as Kafka is, he can often be seens charging phones and other devices small devices for the worker when they are on long roads trips to the next location. Just don't let him near any toasters though, those thing goes flying sky high into the celling otherwise.

And if I'm honest here, I also named 9 Yomi due to the fact he looks a little like a death cap. Hench why I also gave him a name that meant just that. Death.

Personality wise, Yomi has a mix of innocent, child like curiosity with prankester teenager energy. He likes to prank the workers on occasion, espeicaly if it has been a long and boring week for them. It has mixed resault at time since sometimes he managed to do more harm then good. But he never makes the same mistake twice once it happens. And he has that kind of weird humor thats a hit or miss depending on the situation.

His far from mean though, and any malice he does show tend to be warrented on however is the target. He likes living in the workplace very much if it can get lonely when none but him is there at night, which makes him odd kaiju as well since he really isn't all that social with human and kaijus alike.

His siblings and the workers at the company being the exception. Fun fact, Yomi honestly thought that 6, 10 and 12 where Kafka's actual offspring before he knew of the foster situation. They all have that chaotic enegry that both he and Kafka had when they where welps themself and gave their mother all sorts of heart attacks with how much trouble they got into back then.

His kinda the weird, confusing and annoying uncle thats sometimes funny for those three.

No. 9/Yomi being compared to a Death Cap reminds of that one page from KN8R where Iharu and Kafka are picking mushrooms. Lol, I can imagine our himbo tends to get embarrassed by the things his brother says. Or for Yomi to be blunt about it when corrected.

I don't blame the young kaiju's mixed feelings towards Uncle Mushroom.

Loossemble Album Review

And it's finally out! The album as a whole is a 9/10.

Track 1: Intro: Searching for their Friends 7/10

The beginning was so dramatic and I loved it! It incorporated a lot of elements of the "loona sound" and sounded distinctly familiar. They really did a good job of making it sound familiar while also being fresh.

Track 2 (title track): Sensitive 8/10

The chorus has been stuck on my head for days now lol. The whole song is really catchy and the girls absolutely slayed the high notes. I'm so glad that the members of loona with the usually most minor lines got to show more of what they could do! I will say, that the 2nd verse isn't my favorite, it doesn't have any natural rhythm and I think it's that trend these days in K-pop of "talk-rapping". Besides that, I loved every other part of the song. It definitely deserved being the title track.

Track 3: Real World 7/10

The beginning definitely threw me off because the vibes changed so fast. But I definitely liked this song, I do think it could have been better if the chorus was just as explosive as the rest of the song. The chorus is currently my least favorite part. Also, it sounds like a Red Velvet song for some reason? I can't point out why. Anyway, it was a solid track but could have been better.

Track 4: Colouring 9/10

This song definitely gives loona vibes, and I love it. It sounds like it could be on the XX album along with Colors. It's a chill song with a good melody and overall a really good track. Nothing much more to say, there's nothing about this song I would change.

Track 5: Newtopia 10/10

You don't understand how much I love this song. It really embodies its title, sounding fresh and new without being in-your-face bright like Real World (the only way I can explain it lol). It just gives me a boost of serotonin every time I hear it. If happiness and contentness could be personified into a song, it would be this one. The instrumental in the bridge is just *chef's kiss*! It's super catchy too, and honestly could have been the title track if Sensitive wasn't so good.

Track 6: Strawberry Soda 1,000,0000/10

This is the best song of the album for me. It's super catchy, has a relaxing vibe, a beautiful instrumental, and amazing lyrics (courtesy of Yves!). It really reminds me of Love Me Like by Odd Eye Circle (it's almost like they were from the same group....ok I'll shut up now). Love Me Like was also my favorite track from OEC's album, so I think I just like songs like Strawberry Soda. I'd also like to call attention to the lyrics of the chorus which are really sweet:

That moment we'll dive into the bright red sky The magic starts, as for mood, feel so high It spreads sweeter, sometimes sour Don't know what it is, but Like strawberry soda It's time to dream, alright?

Track 7: Day By Day 10/10

I was taken off guard because strawberry soda came before this and the vibes are totally different. But this song is so good. I tend to find emotional songs boring, but not this one. Adding the rock elements made it so interesting, also knowing Hyunjin wrote the song's lyrics. It just adds that extra layer. This was a really good song to end the album with. Also, may I mention Hyeju's high note???? Those "who's gonna sing" people are going to have a fit after listening to that. I even heard some "orbits" joke about Loossemble asking Chuu for help recording songs. Honestly, those people are so annoying. Anyway, this song definitely passed with flying colors on making me cry. Even more when I watched them perform it on their tour.

Ok I have stuck with lower decks since day one and to be fair I have no revisited past seasons since I watched them, but Lower Decks was probably one of the more consistent Trek shows in terms of quality and making good usage of time (minus the last season but I will get to that lol) I do think they could’ve revealed certain plot points a bit faster, but I did enjoy the return to form for this series. It was definitely more in line with the traditional slow burn of star trek. Ok read more time.

I think a lot of people didnt want to give LWD a chance because the first season was a little too “ricky and morty”-ish type of TV show but like what first season of star trek isnt bad if we’re being totally honest here. So many nu-trek haters are too scared to give new Star Trek shows a chance because the first seasons are always rough but like come on. Whats one good episode from season 1 of any star trek show besides DS9 😑 give lower decks a chance if u havent already I think it’s worth it. You won’t get the emotional highs of DS9 but you wont be bored either

What I liked over all with LWD

- I liked the lack of romance at times but I did enjoy it when it was included. I wish we got more of Jennifer because her last episode WAS CRAZYYYYY

- the diverse alien choices were fun and I liked the human to alien ratio. I liked that the main group technically was split in half of 2 humans to two non-humans, but Rutherford for all intents and purposes was human lol.

- the relationship between the Meriners was realistic and well written. You understand both sides and understand why certain mistakes happen. Sometimes they do things to each other that some may deem unforgivable, but honestly the power of Family being a reason to forgive was really nice

- The late introduction of Ty’lnn was actually really nice and I’m glad we did not do the whole song and dance of the vulcan being the odd one out, they accepted her right away.

Acceptance being the theme overall for LWD was perfect. Making light of a bad situation, allowing change to occur despite pain, having to let go of the past, ect. It was done well looking back on it.

- MOST of the cameos were good…some did feel like “this actor didnt ask for too much money so we’ll just throw them in” while others were a pleasant suprise that I was happy to see (T’pol and Data for example) I think in the mid point of the series they overdid them a bit and then dialed it back.

- the show overall was well paced and the A-B storylines worked well together. One of my favorite treks and one of the first I followed all the way through (sorry I get bored easily LOL)

WHAT I DIDNT LIKE

Honestly this isnt super long of a list and it’s not necessarily things I hated lol. I wish the seasons were longer than 10 episodes because star trek doesn’t really work as a 10 episode series, but tjey did their best with what they got.

- sometimes I felt they introduced big story elements too late into a season and didn’t give it enough time to marinate. Rutherford finding out his past and meriner being sent to star base 80 were both big reveals and lasted like two episodes. I wish they revealed this stuff in like episode 6 or 7 and had that as the main A plot, not in episode 9 of each season. It felt a bit rushed when it didn’t need to be, seeing as a lot of LWD is filler (IM NOT A FILLER HATERRRRR I’m just saying…) maybe I’ll rewatch and see how I feel, but watching it week to week left me a bit frustrated because I wanted a good conclusion but often felt they stumbled getting to it.

- Rutherford deserved more screen time!!! While I liked the female focused aspect with many storylines going to Meriner (BEST CHARACTER EVER!!!!) or or Tendi, They set up a really interesting and gut wrenching story for Rutherford I don’t think got explored enough. His ending of suddenly not wanting the implant anymore felt pretty last minute, they should’ve explored that more. Like Did we really need a whole episode dedicated to Miglimo over Rutherford….

- TENDIFORD WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN SOMETHING BIG WAS CUT! What who said that

I think that was it. Ok time for my thoughts on season 5

I cut season 5 A LOT of slack because I think they were under the impression they’d be getting at least a season 6 to wrap everything up. Lwd was doing well from the looks of things and like what the fuck else does paramount+ have besides star trek. Does anyone care. Maybe they got rug pulled, but I got the vibe season 5 was not the intended ending at all. It felt like they just started throwing random science multiverse phrases at the wall to pad for time lol.

But It was really annoying that like most of season 5 was filler and backdoor pilots. Like I said did we need a miglimo episode…I liked the klingon episode and the away mission episode, but I would’ve preferred a Rutherford episode (shocker…!) or a two partner finale because the finale while good, felt rushed. I did like that everyone stuck together in the end tho. But whyyyyy take Rutherfords implant :( whatever.

WATCH LOWER DECKS NOWWWW it was good

Did you always fight to have their attention? Did they push you to be perfect? Did you have to repress what you truly felt just to get through the day?

What will happen when one day you meet your match? Do you think that you can keep playing this game for forever? Do you even remember what it feels like not to manipulate people for your own gains? Be careful because those you use along your path may be the ones who end up bringing you down in the end.

You shouldn't be so full of yourself; your overconfidence will be your Achilles heel. Inside of you there's an innocent child who needed to feel love, who needed to hear those words. When will you finally face yourself? You're the one who is your own enemy - not them.

Use that power to heal your wounds before you take down others with you. Even people who may actually deserve punishment will be punished by the universe in time. But, you were forced to be a fighter and a survivor. How, though, how did it get so twisted?

Honestly, this is a pile for most shounen heros; in fact, a lot of similar cards to Pile 2 came out - so it's like the flip side of when you have these certain righteous beliefs. In this pile, I felt like the cards represented someone who felt lonely but would also be willing to make some sort of (spiritual) sacrifice for their goal or beliefs or to "save" others. We could argue that a lot of "heroes" with martyr complexes in fiction aren't doing what they do out of pure selflessness, but to fill their own voids.

If Pile 2 is the king of the God complex, Pile 4 is the queen of the martyr complex. You have equally strong beliefs, principles, values as Pile 2. You have a gift for reading and empathizing with people. You have a lot of gut feelings that are like instinct for you. You want to be seen as a good person, but how much pain are you hiding?

As a child, were you alone or neglected or did you experience something so traumatic, it's forever left an impact on you? You hide the pain to either guard your own heart or so as not to burden others. You may even act out for attention. Sometimes you have a tendency to look down on others because you see yourself as right. You're not always willing to hear other people's opinions because you've already dismissed them as wrong. You may believe you walk along the path of righteousness, but do you really? What separates you from tyrannical dogmatic leaders? What does it mean if the only difference in thinking is that they put their evil plans and deeds into action while sharing the same basic philosophy as you? Aren't there shades of gray in life? Can everything be measured in black and white? What pushes you to compartmentalize everything like that? What makes you think that you're so special?

Maybe you'll find, though, that it is actually that greater belief in justice and righteousness that gives you the strength to fight "evil". Maybe others will see the way you stand up to bullies or injustices as inspiring? Or will it just draw the wrong kind of attention to you? What kind of losses will you experience when you take up this savior role? How will it affect the people close to you? What if they get sacrificed for your cause? What if they follow you and believe in you only to suffer consequences because of your actions? Do you really know the weight of true responsibility? Were you really that naive?

There may be such a thing as fate and destiny, but do you think you have any power in that or are you just under the universe's thumb, trying to fight against fate when it's all been planned out already?

What did you lack as a child that you feel you need to prove so much? Were you lonely? Are you still lonely? Is there an empty room inside your heart that longs to connect again with others? Did you lose a connection that you can't replace? Do you need to feel in control because something was taken away from you by force?

Do you think you can outwit death? Fate? Who are you really saving here? The people you love? Yourself? The world? Your sense of right and wrong? The balance of the world? Does it really lie in your hands?

You can really be quite naive. People may try to trick or take advantage of you because they see in you a kind nature. You must establish strong boundaries so that you aren't fooled into giving more than you're capable. If you have any value for yourself, you wouldn't want to throw yourself away at the drop of a hat. Maybe if you'd learned how to love yourself more, you wouldn't have to fight all these feelings of inadequacy. Do you get jealous sometimes? Of others? Do you wonder why bad people get away with doing bad things? Do you ever have thoughts of wishing they would disappear? Do you acknowledge that everyone has light AND dark inside them? Why are you ashamed of your darkness? Why do you hide it away? Why won't you share those parts of yourself with others?

You long to leave behind a legacy, a tale. You also long for a place where you truly belong. You want to feel safe. It's the chaos and change in the world that scares you the most. Maybe you want wealth or power because you think those things could help you do more to help others in need. Maybe you long for a family or home that's far from what you experienced as a child or maybe you delude yourself that things aren't as bad as they seem? You tend to want to see the best in others, but is it truly altruistic or is it delusion?

Good things happen to bad people, bad things happen to good people... what can you do about it? Are you really fighting that evil or are you fighting yourself because you think you're weak for not being able to protect everyone you care about.

What does it really mean to be weak or strong anyway? Doesn't it require strength to want to stand up to a majority? When you're all alone but you still keep pushing forward, aren't you strong? Isn't kindness and love a feeling that can help you achieve all kinds of tasks you couldn't without? Doesn't it mean something to still be kind and compassionate in such a cold world?

Isn't it sad to see how cruel people can be? How cruel fate can be?

Are you powerless... or will you make yourself strong? What are you afraid of? Can you be strong without loving yourself first? Forgiving yourself or others who've hurt you.

You'll pass through a time of questioning and darkness, but you'll eventually come out on the side where you belong.

You are a hero, after all.

I’m currently watching Wednesday and I’m not finished with the season but I have a couple thoughts:

SPOILERS FOR NETFLIX’s WEDNESDAY!!!!!!

1) I love Enid that’s my sista

2) I love Bianca. From ep1 I was like YES a DS Black girl who’s the HBIC !!!

2.a) I immediately wanted an enemies to lovers ship with Wednesday and Bianca while watching ep1 lol I doubt the show will ever go that route but a girl can dream

3) I love how Enid and Wednesday have a “we’re opposites but we will do anything for each other” type friendship… similar to Galinda and Elphaba in a way lol

4) so far from what I’ve seen in the show, Wednesday is either aro or at least queer (even outside my want of an enemies to lovers arc) therefore I find the triangle between Wednesday Tyler and Xavier very boring

4.a) another reason I don’t care for the triangle is one, Wednesday, to me, has not shown or expressed any romantic interest in either guy since she got to Nevermore but because both boys immediately took a liking to her, they both projected their feelings onto her and then got upset when it came to the Rave’N dance; and two, the classic teen romance drama kinda takes away from why we like Wednesday so much as a character. She is diff from everyone else and I feel like I’m fine with her going to a high school and not having a bf, gf, or any romantic partner

5) I don’t think Gomez actually killed that Garrett kid… either Morticia did and he’s covering for her bc he loves her or possibly he died some other way? Anyway considering where I left off in the show before making this post is Gomez going to jail and Wednesday bearing his story and her not believing it… I’ll guess I’ll find out soon

6) not crazy about these portrayals of Gomez and Morticia… the energy just isn’t there for me. I know a lot of ppl dislike the casting of Gomez (Luis Guzman), I assume mostly bc he’s unattractive by societal standard (aka he’s fat)… which I initially didn’t care about bc who cares if Gomez is fat, as long as his personality is the same then it’s fine… but idk…. his Gomez is different but not in a refreshing way.

6.a) I do like CZJ’s Morticia more than I like LG’s Gomez but still idk… maybe I’m being too harsh of a critic but it’s not quite all the way there for me for some reason….

7) Since episode one I haven’t trusted the principal and I half don’t trust Miss Thornhill so I’m curious to see how their characters play out by the end of the season

8) Eugene, just like Enid is very precious to me! I felt bad he got got by the monster and I’m shocked but happy they didn’t kill him off… I was upset that he (very predictably) still went into the woods the night of the dance even tho Wednesday told him not to

8.a) I love the fact that he has lesbian moms!

9) idk if I have other thoughts if I do I guess I’ll reblog and add more later

10) I wanted this to be an even number lmaooo

10.a) I am 25 and I barely saw The Addams Family 1 & 2 this year 😭😭😭 I have no reason as to why I had never seen it before last month (or maybe it was September) but I LOVED those movies and them kooky ass Addams 😂 which is why I feel like I’m disappointed in the characterization of Gomez and Morticia. That’s all
