Bi-Han Breakdown: because I think he deserves it. And unfortunately, he's receiving a lot of hate for no sane reason

1° HE LET HIS FATHER DIE, HE IS EVIL!

Bi-Han letting his father die is the main reason that make people think he is evil, but let's think about it...

Bi-Han let his father die, he didn't kill his father in cold blood and Liu Kang knew about it! Why he kept Bi-Han close, had high hopes for him (his words) and still wants him back if he is so evil?

Liu kang: Come in from the cold, Bi-Han. ("Come in from the cold" Definition & Meaning: to become part of a group or of normal society again after one has been outside it.)

Bi-Han: And again kneel before you?

Liu kang to Scorpion (about Bi-Han): I had such high hopes for your brother.

Firstly, he always had a foot out the door in his relationship with Tomas because of his background (TOMAS'S BIOLOGICAL FAMILY WAS MURDERED BY HIS CLAN); Secondly, Tomas was supporting all that Kuai Liang's mourning for their father's death and Bi-Han was clearly fed up and lost it. You can even see how surprised Tomas was:

And we can't forget that Bi-Han was Tomas's idol before his betrayal. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't idolize and really miss someone who is constantly mean to me, so yes, I don't believe that Bi-Han was constantly an asshole to Tomas, just cold how his own statement:

And after defeating Nitara and Ermac the first thing that comes to his mind is the physical integrity of his brothers. He checked BOTH of them:

We must have been watching different things, because there's no way that the GRANDMASTER of an ancient warrior clan, who can easily kill and is trained for it since childhood, would miss this chance if killing his brother was his true intention:

They feel betrayed by him, Bi-Han also feel betrayed by them, but Bi-Han actually betrayed earthrealm and more than once offered them the chance to join him, which they refused because they just want to defend earthrealm not govern it. Which hurts Bi-Han so much, since the entire clan and his best friends (Cyrax and Sektor) believe in his vision, make the clan great again (lol, I mean, achieve greatness, bring glory and respect to his clan etc), but his brothers don't:

Kuai Liang to Tomas: You forget Cyrax and Sektor. Their loyalty to Bi-Han is absolute.

Tomas to Kuai Liang: That the Lin Kuei won't aid us is unforgivable. Bi-Han has corrupted them totally.

His only wrongdoing was trust in Shang Tsung and Shao. They fooled him with false promises. And he already regrets having believed in them:

Bi-Han: I was wrong to trust you.

Shao: Yes, Earthrealmer. You were.

Shang Tsung: You have been cold to my entreaties.

Bi-Han: Because you proved you can't be trusted.

Havik: We were both played for fools.

Bi-Han: Shang Tsung and Quan Chi will pay.

But, unfortunately he has been hunted for helping Shao break out of prison and they are calling him a traitor for it, nothing more:

Sindel: With one act you betrayed two realms.

Bi-Han: Neither deserved my loyalty.

Bi-Han: I helped you, but I've earned no respect.

Shao: Because there's nothing lower than a traitor.

Bi-Han: You would still be in prison, were it not for me!

Raiden: I never thought you would betray Earthrealm.

Bi-Han: My only loyalty is to the Lin Kuei.

I'm not going to acknowledge that person by name because I have no wish to interact further with her, nor to have others find her and give her any attention. But with Noob Saibot being brought back, I remembered this rancid take they had, quote: "Bi-Han is a man who has time and time again become Noob Saibot, a man whose endings have shown the Netherrealm is where he wanted to be" which is wild af to say.

Because Bi-Han doesn't just 'become" Noob, he is literally made into Noob. Quan Chi resurrected him as a wraith that turned him into Noob Saibot and now Titan Havik tortures him and uses some insane magic even Liu Kang doesn't know, to turn him into Noob. It's not like some magical girl transformation. We're talking awful evil stuff being done to Bi-Han against his will, to warp him into this being known as Noob Saobot, who is stripped of his humanity and almost everything that made Bi-Han who he was.

And Bi-Han never wanted to end up in the Neatherrealm. In the previous timelines he literally had no choice. He was forced into the role of assassin. He was molded into one practically from birth. In Mythologies when he goes into the Neatherrealm he's informed that his soul is already tainted with evil, which is why he can exist there. That's not because he simply woke up one day and decided to kill some Gods for shits and gigs. He had to do what he was ordered to do or be a traitor to the clan and marked for death anyway. It was a lose lose situation. If anything this shows that Bi-Han was never where he wanted to be. His strings were always being pulled by someone else. History is repeating itself now. And leaks even say that Liu Kang doesn't fault him for his desires, but only the ways he goes about achieving his ends. Which further proves Bi-Han doesn't have some nefarious plots in mind with the deliberate intention of landing himself in the Neatherrealm.

She said she doesn't hate Bi-Han, but then this reads as a deep missunderstanding of his character. And at that point, if you can misinterpret his character to that degree, you probably don't like him much either.

Another day, another take so stupid it makes me want to never interact with anything MK related ever again.

Oh, who am I kidding? The trailer already achieved that.

Needless to say, you're 100% correct and this person, whoever they are, is obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed. People who think Bi-Han wanted any of this are either being ignorant on purpose and want to misunderstand his character because they hate him or they're so blatantly stupid they don't understand the very simple fact that Bi-Han being turned into Noob Saibot always happened against his will in every damn timeline.

Does it look like Bi-Han tied himself to that damn wheel we see in the trailer? Does this person have the attention span of a goldfish and just missed the part where he looks terrified out of his mind when those drills/needles approach him?

For goodness' sake, I didn't want to talk about the trailer because watching it made me want to gauge my own eyeballs out. I never felt this sick looking at something in my life (that's coming from someone who plays horror and fighting games on the regular) and yet here we are and I'm talking about it regardless now. I hate it here.

But anyway, you're right. What more can I say? Anyone with even an ounce of common sense would know that. Anyone who has ever played any of the Mortal Kombat games should know that Bi-Han was forcefully turned into Noob Saibot. He was never evil. He was always a neutral character and he's still a neutral character in the New Era.

What more confirmation do you need outside of Liu Kang himself admitting that there's nothing wrong with Bi-Han's ambitions, only with his methods of achieving them? Ashrah says Bi-Han can be redeemed, Bi-Han said only people who don't understand him would mistake him for evil, the Lin Kuei all stand behind Bi-Han and support him... He isn't evil and he never was.

He literally saves Liu Kang's entire stupid trainwreck of a timeline single-handedly in this DLC and people still have the audacity to say he's evil?

I wish he was.

I wish Bi-Han would just sit back and watch Havik destroy Liu Kang's timeline along with all the pitiful hypocrites in it. I wish he'd let all of the fandom's pathetic favorites get torn to shreds and laugh.

But he won't. Because Bi-Han is a good and honorable man deep down.

Disagree and be wrong. It's as simple as that.

PS: Wasn't MK:Mythologies Sub-Zero all about Bi-Han trying to avoid ending up in the Netherrealm? He reacted with shock and concern to being told his soul is tainted with evil by Raiden and he was trying to turn his life around. There's even an ending in one of the older games where he kills Shang Tsung and leaves the Lin Kuei with the prize money from the tournament. Bi-Han never wanted to end up in the Netherrealm. Claiming anything else would be ignoring canon lore.

Her decision was made for her as she heard the door creak open on the other side of the room.

“Sorry for the wait, Y/n. I helped Madam Bo clean up a few other tables before… oh?!” Raiden jerked, slamming the door shut behind him harder than intended, his eyes glued to his lover’s body. Y/n bit her lip, hoping she didn’t look as awkward as she watched Raiden’s eyes comb over her. this is something rather personal that's been bothering me. i hesitated to write it because it can easily be taken the wrong way but i feel like i need to get this out.

i see a lot of people complaining about mk1 and its plot and all these complaints are valid, but i feel like if people stopped and paid a little bit more attention to some details, then some plot holes would be filled.

a big one is syzoth and ashrah getting together after he just lost his family. that's not true. after the events of the main story, there's a big timeskip. it's evident in the intros and endings. kuai and tomas didn't create a new clan by just snapping their fingers, it took time and a lot happened in between that. by the time KR happens, shirai ryu is thriving with hundreds of students. for a while, they only had hanzo.

tomas not having a chapter in the dlc: why would he? this wasn't the final clash between lin kuei and shirai ryu, this was a prologue to show us bi-han becoming noob. tomas is second in command. if kuai is absent, tomas' the one in charge. he needed to stay behind, especially considering they had just been ambushed and attacked. there's no way kuai would even consider dealing with all that shit to rescue geras if he didn't know tomas was back home to protect the clan. and he's my favorite character and i would've loved to see more scenes of him at the wedding, but he really didn't need to be in havik's timeline. again, this dlc is not about lin kuei x shirai ryu. that war is still coming and that's where tomas needs to shine.

sektor and the cyber lin kuei: she made it clear in her ending that she doesn't care about being a grandmaster and the power it gives her, she cares about bi-han. bi-han is also grandmaster again as noob saibot. sektor hints at the cyber prototype during her intros with bi-han as subzero only. it's a different story with him as noob.

this is the third reboot, they're not going to copy the old storyline. if they were, why reboot it again? ed boon said he wants change and new storylines.

dominic, even as the sole writer, still needs an entire team to approve his writing. he can't just type away whatever he wants and then have it animated. there's a team that reads it, suggests some new stuff, reads it again and if they like it enough, they approve it. he's not the sole responsible for the plot.

and that's it. just wanted to get this off my chest. you don't have to like the story at all but some things are easily explained. and sure, "show don't tell" but they have limited time and a budget and they can't ahow every single detail.

"No," he spoke, his voice firm. "You're wrong."

Shang Tsung was in shock, that much was clear. His confident bravado fell, but only for a split second. "Liu Kang," he said, "a wonder you managed to escape."

"Nothing will keep me from my family," Liu Kang said, confidently. "And nothing will keep me from protecting Earthrealm."

The team felt stronger than before, assured now that the fire god was by their side. They circled Shang Tsung, watching the man carefully as both sides looked for an opening to attack.

But each time- be it a sneak attack from Smoke, a blast of fire from Kuai Liang, or a spit of acid by Syzoth was blocked or dodged and met with a painful shot of the sorcerer's green magic that stung and ached, leaving each kombatant out of commission for quite a while.

Even Liu Kang was shocked by Shang Tsung's sudden display, magic of a higher caliber. Each feat was committed without even the slightest hint of a struggle...

"Look!" A sudden exclaimtion from Johnny caught everyone's attention. "What's that on his belt?"

It was Ashrah who was able to get close enough to examine the small amulet- it shone with red magic, with a jewel of some sorts, perhaps, encased within glass. Her kriss revealed to her the darkness within the object.

"It must be amplifying his power," she mused wisely, after moving away before Shang Tsung could grab her.

Kuai Liang lunged for Shang Tsung and swiftly moved out of the way of his fist to try and snatch his belt before being pushed away by said magic.

"You're smarter than you seem, demoness," Shang Tsung quipped, in response to Ashrah. He turned to watch her as she prepared for another go, and he smiled wickedly. "At first, I thought manipulating Kung Lao's love for Raiden would only help me infiltrate your defenses- however, it's proven much more useful than I realized."

Fury burned in Raiden's chest when he heard that. He glanced at Tsung for a moment before looking back down at Lao, and he gently brushed away the hair covering his beautiful but pale face. 

Takeda and Jin glanced at them, then looked at each other worriedly. They were torn between wanting to protect Lao and Raiden, and wanting to help their friends. 

"We'll be their spotters," suggested Takeda.

Jin nodded.

"Get the amulet away from him!" Takeda shouted to the others.

Mileena, who was nursing both her sister and her wife, peered at Tsung, eyes on the glowing object. 

"We can fight," said Kitana, as she helped Tanya stand up. The women grabbed their respective weapons.

"We'll push through." Tomas let an injured Syzoth lean on his shoulder, as they followed Liu Kang back into battle. The three women trailed behind them.

Surrounded once more, Shang Tsung still felt confident in his new amulet, and as usual let a cocky smirk overtake his face. 

"You insolent fools," he muttered.

Liu Kang made the first move- followed by Johnny, Syzoth, and Tanya. But they were only a distraction for the next wave of kombatants- Ashrah, Mileena, and Kenshi- who were able to catch Tsung off guard.

Mileena even reached for the amulet, but was unsuccessful.

She attacked from behind and tried to hold him down.

Meanwhile, Takeda and Jin were watching Raiden and Lao. Raiden, clearly unsure of what to do, and the stress of the situation weighing on his mind. 

"Try saying something to him." Jin's voice took him from his thoughts. "Maybe it'll break him out of...whatever's going on."

Takeda shouted for Asrah to dodge, then apologized for interrupting.

Raiden looked at them both and nodded slowly. 

"Kung Lao," he began, "It's me. Raiden, the real Raiden...

"I'm sure you can hear me, in whatever daze you're in. I'm sorry I couldn't be here to stop what happened."

Battle waged in the background, which distracted him for a moment. He peered downward, and a particular sound from one of his friends getting knocked back made him wince.

"Please..."

First, it was Kuai Liang, knocked into the wall a few times too many, who had to stop fighting. Then Kitana, then Mileena, who were both left weakened from Tsung's strikes. Then, even Liu Kang- who was rendered defenseless, unconscious, and trapped within a barrier of magic so that Tsung could feed off his energy as well.

As Shang Tsung watched the last of Liu Kang's struggles, a loud, hearty laugh erupted from his throat, echoing in the halls.

And Raiden, who kept his gaze on Kung Lao, kept speaking.

"...you have to come back to us. To me. We can't...if Shang Tsung were to win..."

Takeda and Jin had made the decision to join the fray. They were already down three fighters and the fire god.

"I love you," Raiden whispered, against his lips, and he delicately kissed him.

And suddenly Kung Lao shifted in his arms.

Much to Raiden's delight, his love sat up and rubbed his eyes, as if he had just woken up from a long, restless slumber. He met Raiden's gaze and the man couldn't help but tear up.

"Raiden?" Lao asked, groggily. "What's going on? Is the wedding over?"

A burst of magic that narrowly missed his head answered the question for him.

"It's all over!" Shang Tsung growled.

"I'll explain later. But now-" 

"We stop Shang Tsung." Kung Lao got to his feet with Raiden's help. "Let's go."

"The amulet, we have to get it."

The couple approched Tsung and both entered their fighting stances. Lao rose his fists and Raiden, having found his amulet, held it tightly.

"We'll show you the true power of love, sorcerer!" Kung Jin exclaimed as he and Takeda joined the other couple. Corny ass line. But that's Jin for you.

He shot an arrow at Tsung's belt, loosening its hold on his amulet. 

Jin and Takeda sped toward Tsung. Jin kept Tsung's focus on him. Takeda rolled away, his sight on the amulet and he reached for it, but it still wasn't loose enough. 

Asrah and Kenshi sliced Tsung's limbs, and Johnny did his signature Nut Punch- which then, created the perfect opening. 

A clap of thunder roared, and Tsung was hit with Raiden's lightning. Kung Lao snatched Tsung's amulet, threw it on the ground, and crushed it. 

His magic fizzled away, a soft hiss, as it dispersed into the air.

Raiden and Lao stood over Shang Tsung, watching him writhe in pain.

"It's over for you, Shang Tsung," Raiden said.

"Stay down," Lao added.

When Kuai Liang and Tomas brought you to Lord Raiden’s Fire Temple, you were pleasantly surprised to find Syzoth and vice versa. Syzoth then inquires about your health, if Shang Tsung hurt you or did anything to you. He swears that he’ll make the Sorcerer 100 times fold for everything he did, but you put a hand on his shoulder in reassurance before he could go on to plan his revenge out loud. You remind him that you don't prepare an effective murder plan out loud.

Not too long after you reunite with Syzoth, the Earthrealmers you met, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, Kenshi, and a woman you've never met enter the courtyard to greet you. Like the Zatteran, without murder planning, they express their relief at seeing you mostly alright besides the bruises and scratches. First Cage hands you another set of sunglasses for your eyes before letting you in on how Baraka reacted when Shang Tsung kidnapped you, which is to say not well at all.

"No joke, he went full Kool-Aid man on the door and then an entire wall! I thought Baraka was gonna pop a vein, not that I blame him seeing his gal was taken from him."

You stammered to Johnny that Baraka was upset because his friend was taken. Although the way your snakes went to cover your warm cheeks said otherwise. To change the subject, please ask who the newcomer is. The woman introduces herself as Ashrah before asking if you are Zateran, the same as Syzoth. You explain that you look like a reptilian because of Shang Tsung, which causes your snakes to hiss and writhe angrily to reflect your mood.

The group eventually catches you up on everything you missed, including how they came across Ashrah, Quan-chi's involvement with Shang Tsung, creating something called "Ermac" made from the souls of the Living Forest, and their daring escape at the festival. You were surprised to hear Syzoth held his own against Tanya AND Princess Kitana. It also didn't slip your notice how flustered your reptiloid friend seemed when Ashrah praised him for his bravery. Although that was another matter for a, hopefully, better time. You, in return, also share your experience of being held captive at Ying's fortress.

You explained how you deeply regretted not splitting Shang Tsung from the groin to the gullet before Kuai Liang invited you to The Fire Temple to wait for Lord Liu Kang's return. You acquiesce, only asking for parchment and quill to pass the time. You finished tying your ribbon around your letter when Lord Liu Kang entered. When the latter explains how he must inform and prove Empress Sindel about Shang Tsung and Quan-chi's evildoings, you immediately offer to assist the Fire God. You cite that your presence with Lui Kang would provide more credibility to his claims as he tries to convince Sindel of Shang Tsung and Quan-chi's true intentions.

Your prediction is true when you and the Fire God enter through the portal gate, only to be greeted by Li Mei and the rest of Sun Do's constables. The First Constable does a double take when seeing your masked face but with your hood down. She learned from General Shao about your monstrous mutations and subsequent betrayal, but she didn't want to believe either. Li Mei knew that you were steadfast in your loyalties to Sindel and her daughters, but to see you so utterly transformed... Another problem for another time.

Li Mei, understandably, was reluctant to hear Liu Kang's claims about the Deadly Alliance and General Shao's conspiracy against the throne. However, at your insistence and reminding her how you, too, had your counsel ignored by Sindel despite your best intentions, Li Mei is quick to catch on.

"I knew he couldn't be trusted!"

"I wish I had known that sooner."

Liu Kang then explains how Shang Tsung treated Mileena's Tarkat symptoms, gaining Sindel's favor to get close to the throne. You describe to Li Mei that after Shang Tsung treated Mileena's Tarkat symptoms, you partnered with the Sorcerer to study Tarkat near the Wastes. You had hoped to finally find a cure, only for that Snake to use your research for his twisted experiments, adding how you still can taste the air of that dungeon. Li Mei, not wanting to let down the royal family again, agrees to assist the Fire God with his goal. She also agrees to have one of her constables deliver a letter you wrote for Baraka to the Wastes, which lets him in on everything that transpired and that you're well. It also lets him know you intend to save the Empire and Outworld.

P.S. I was told by Mister Cage about your concern after my kidnapping.

On the way to Sun Do's palace, you and Lord Liu Kang fill the First Constable with everything you know about General Shao's plans and his part in the conspiracy. When Reiko and some of his subordinates, including Motaro, block your path, all of you spring into action against Outworld's soldiers. You rip off your mask to turn some of the soldiers into stone before biting into one that tried to grab you from behind, who then falls to the ground, coughing blood. You duck and weave between soldiers, letting your snakes bite into exposed flesh. This turns the soldiers into what you could only describe as living blood trees. Occasionally, you would be able to help Li Mei in her fight against Reiko, mainly offering her medical aid before hopping back into the foray.

After Li Mei defeats Reiko, all of you left the site before reinforcements could arrive. Not long after entering the palace's Hanging Gardens, you and your companions are surrounded by Tanya and the Umgadi. You plead with Tanya to listen to what Li Mei has to say, reminding her that you, too, are concerned for the royal family and helped treat Mileena's condition. Yet, while Tanya hesitates briefly, it doesn't stop her from fighting Li Mei. It doesn't surprise you that the former Umgadi wins against the younger warrior priestess. You kept your mask on as more Umgadi arrived on the scene, even as they enclosed you with their spears. You're glad you did when Li Mei passionately urged the rest of her former sisters-in-arms to stand with her to save the empire.

The Umgadi heeded Li Mei's words and escorted the rest of you to Empress Sindel's throne room, with a bound Tanya walking beside you and Li Mei. You had to bite your tongue when Sindel immediately accuses her former friend of trying to destroy the rest of her family by allying herself with Earthrealm's protector. You let out a hiss and let down your hood to show your Empress your new form.

"My Empress, I implore you, for onccce, to listen to what an actual friend and ally have to say before making blind accusationsss."

When Sindel asks who are you to talk to her like that, you reveal to her that it's you, her Imperial Healer and friend. A friend who has wanted nothing more than the best for the royal house and Outworld. Who, because of Shang Tsung, you are like this, and because she was blinded by anger and grief, you feared telling her all of this sooner. The Empress was left speechless at your emboldened words and appearance. Li Mei then assures Sindel that you and her are here to help her, even if she'll never forgive Li Mei. As the Empress appears to pause to consider her friends' words, Tanya tries to strangle Li Mei with her ropes. You are forced to fight against the rest of the Umgadi, including one that could've been your sister. You'd be lying if you said you didn't get some twisted satisfaction at landing some blows on the "perfect" daughter your mother used to brag about despite never knowing.

When Mileena decided to fight against Li Mei, you felt panic grip your heart as you watched their fight get progressively more aggressive.

"Mileena! DON'T!"

You treated enough Tarkatans to know where this could lead, especially with emotions high mixed with adrenaline. In most of these sorts of instances, the afflicted would stop sparring or fighting and start brutally tearing into one another out of pure rage. You had to treat many Tarkatans because of these injuries if you didn't sedate them fast enough. However, you were out of tranquilizers at the moment, which is especially unfortunate when Mileena's symptoms manifest, and she then pounces on her mother. You quickly run over to Empress Sindel's aid, mask off, but Mileena wouldn't look you in the eye as she claws at your face, knocking you to your side. Fortunately, Li Mei rips off the feral princess and tosses her away from both of you.

While Li Mei was occupied with Mileena, you inquired about Sindel's health and if she had any injuries. Sindel replies that she's fine, more concerned about the scratches on your face. You answer that they aren't deep and you'll heal before putting your mask back on. You shout at Tanya to grab Mileena's serum and to hurry while the latter is still engaged in kombat with Li Mei. The Empress then apologizes for making you feel like you couldn't be open to her and unable to imagine what you went through. You reply to Sindel that you wish you had come to her sooner, but it wasn't all bad. You got to work with the colony out in the Wastes, where you had gathered a well of information and improved their conditions a little, but there's still a long way to go. You also found friends at the Colony, with you being closest to the leader of the said colony, who accepted you for all your new deformities. Sindel raises a brow at the fondness in your voice when mentioning Baraka but doesn't comment on it.

After Li Mei finally subdues Mileena, you and Sindel sit beside Mileena on both sides to support her as Tanya injects her with the serum. You don't miss the soft look shared between Mileena and Tanya, but you don't comment.

Finally, Liu Kang had an audience with the Empress, who is still suspicious of the Fire God for seemingly sending minions on secret missions into her Empire. After the Fire God makes his case, he offers to show Sindel proof of his claim at Shang Tsung's laboratory. You grimace at the thought of returning to that horrid place but willingly return for the sake of the royal family and your friend.

This kinda short. It only has 1101 words and idk if I fully like this but fuck it, we ball. Idk why I’m so bad at fluff😭

The word “crush” was typically used by children. Almost everyone has had a crush in their younger years. Someone in their class, or a random person in a hall, or someone in a higher grade level. Even celebrity crushes are usually talked about by younger people. Because of this, people tended to foolishly think that having a crush would no longer be a thing when they got older.

You were one of those people. Unfortunately, you found out that that way of thinking was false.

You hoped it was simply attraction when it came to Kitana, but the more time you spent together, the more you realized it went beyond that. Everything about her was perfect. Her hair, her smile, the way she’d scoff when hearing something stupid, her need to protect her family and defend the innocent. That was just a small list of what made Kitana amazing. 

You groaned and put your head in your hands. You were so pathetically in love with her and had no idea if she’d ever feel the same way about you.

”I’m almost done with the story. Relax” Johnny elbowed your arm and smiled at you. For weeks you debated on whether or not you should ask someone for advice. It couldn’t be Liu Kang, because that felt like asking a parent. Kung Lao and Raiden were busy training new recruits, so you didn’t wanna bother them. Any other allies like Syzoth, Ashrah, Kuai Liang and Tomas were busy with other things. Bi-Han… well… you couldn’t ask him for obvious reasons. You probably wouldn't have even if he hadn’t betrayed everyone. 

That left you with one other option that was in Earthrealm. Johnny Cage.

Pros? Johnny had plenty of experience with romance, so he had to have some sort of advice.

Cons? Johnny is Johnny. Johnny tends to blab about his movies, like he was doing now. To be fair to him though, you hadn’t worked up the courage to admit you wanted his help. It just seemed strange to have to ask for help with a crush as an adult. 

You lifted your head and looked at him. You don't know what he saw on the other side of his shades -or why he was wearing shades indoors- but it must've tipped him off that something was wrong. 

“I have a feeling you're not worried about whether or not the movie had a happy ending”. You rolled your eyes at his joke. You hadn't even been listening the whole time he was talking. 

“Absolutely not”. Johnny leaned back against the couch and sucked his teeth. 

“You sure?”

“Positive” He booed at you, which made you swat his arm. “I got serious shit I need help with”. He looked at you as if saying “go on”. So you did before you'd say nevermind and run out of there. You let it all spill out. How much you liked Kitana, how you had no idea how to make a move on her and other pathetic sounding things that came out before you could stop it. When you finished, Johnny sighed and took off his shades. 

“And of course you came to me for help” he said with pride. “I am a love expert”

“Please!” You scoffed. “I just had no one else to go to. You're a last resort Cage-”. He put his finger against your lips to shush you. 

“Shhh… it's okay. I'd ask myself for advice too if I were you- hey!” he pulled his finger back when you tried to bite him. “No biting the love expert”. 

“Already regretting this” you mumbled. Johnny either didn't hear or didn't care. You had your bets on the latter. 

“So you want Kitana? Now that's a woman! You're gonna have to be real smooth to earn her heart”. Those weren't really helpful words but you kept listening anyway. “Kitana seems like she'd love confidence. You can't be all small and scared. You gotta walk with confidence”. He pulled you up to your feet after he stood up. “Puff your chest out”. 

“What?”. Johnny moved to your side and pushed on your back, making you slightly arch and your chest raise. “This feels ridiculous”. Johnny shook his head. 

“Women love confidence. Kitana loves confidence. This gives the image of confidence. Now walk with confidence”. 

Walk with confidence?

You started to walk how you usually did but Johnny stopped you immediately. “No! Walk with confidence!”

“What the hell does that even mean?”

“You gotta walk with long strides but a little slow. Like a model”

“You want me to walk slow?” You looked him up and down with distrust. “Why?”. 

“It'll give her more time to look at you”. You felt stupid, but you did it again and again until Johnny was satisfied. It felt more like bootcamp than love help. 

“Now here comes the confession part. The trick…” you leaned in in anticipation. “Don't”. 

“Wha-”

“No questions without a raised hand”

“I'm gonna raise my hand and beat you with it”

“And I will prosecute you to the highest extent of the law”

“AnD i WiLl-”

“Do you want Kitana or not?”

“Of course I do!”. Johnny put his finger to his lip in a shushing motion. You sucked up your pride and stopped talking. 

“Now, you don't wanna confess. None of that 'oh I love everything about you. I think you're so beautiful and intelligent’ nonsense. You approach her-”. Johnny put back on his shades, put his hands on his hips and got uncomfortably close. “Listen babe, you and I… we could be something. You're diggin’ me and I'm diggin’ you. This Saturday we got a date”. 

“Shouldn't I ask instead of telling her to go on a date with me?”. Johnny shook his head at you. 

“You do that and you don't seem confident! Remember confidence is the key!”. 

This made no sense. So let's recap. Johnny wanted you to puff your chest like a peacock, walk like a model and tell Kitana that you two were going on a date instead of asking?

“Um, okay… great talk Johnny” you patted his shoulder then walked towards the door before he could protest. “Great talk. Brilliant talk. Enjoyed it. I'll remember it!”. You closed the door behind you and sped walked to your car, leaving Johnny alone in his house. 

Once you got in your car, you sighed. Well… that was something that happened. You pulled out your phone and went to the voice notes app. 

“Note to self. Never ever ask Johnny Cage for love advice again”.

"Please hold still," Syzoth begged, concern evident in his facial expression. He held a warm, damp washcloth and brush it over her face, arms, anywhere on her skin that was stained with blood.

Ashrah sighed. "It's alright, truly," she tried to insist. "There is nothing to worry about. Let me do it."

Her quest for absolution led Ashrah down many dangerous paths. Today, her assistance had been called upon at the sighting of Netherrealm beasts wreaking havoc in Outworld. The task was simple enough, but it left her covered in blood when she reported back to the palace. Syzoth was quick to escort her into a private room and to get the necessary tools to tend to her wounds, despite her protests. She now sat on a table, her robes partially undone.

Syzoth's eyebrows knit and he lowered his hands to the table, to either side of her. "How can you expect me not to worry, knowing what sort of dangers you faced today?"

"Syzoth..." For a moment she fell silent as she thought of how best to put him at ease. It was a hard task to do when he stood with his face a mere few inches away from hers. Ashrah was a warrior born of the Netherrealm, with instincts bred for kombat and for fulfilling the role of a demon. How could she be expected to sit still when his touch alone brought a fluttering sensation to her stomach? He resumed cleaning the blood off her face and her eyes wandered to the side when she felt her face warm. On one hand, she had never felt so distracted in her life. On the other, she wished his touches and caresses would never cease.

"Syzoth..." she began again, beckoning his eyes back to hers. "...this is what my life is, and has always been. This is what I do, and how I will reach my goal. Please have faith that I know what I am doing."

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "I know...forgive me. I have never met a more skilled and admirable warrior than you. I know that you know how to take care of yourself." He pressed his lips together. "It is just...difficult for me to see you covered in blood, is all. But rest assured, I would never do or say anything to hinder you in your goal. You know that I will always be by your side, as long as you will have me."

Ashrah's heart skipped a beat, hearing his confession. Few had ever cared for Ashrah's aspirations or encouraged her to pursue them. And even fewer had ever felt the need to protect her or were concerned for her well being. One of her hands found its way to his cheek. He looked at her with curiosity, and an emerald tint grew on his face. Ashrah smiled. "For what it's worth, most of this blood isn't mine," she said, wanting to lighten the mood.

Her jest was enough to get Syzoth to shed his serious expression and replace it with a smile.

Ashrah was unsure how long she was lost in Syzoth's jade eyes. His hands had once again planted themselves on either side of her. His proximity to her caused her heart to thrum. She wanted him even closer.

"Syzoth," she murmured as she searched his face. "I have a request...but I fear it might be blunt of me to make."

His eyes softened and his head tilted into her hand. "Your wish is my command."

Ashrah paused. "Kiss me," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Syzoth raised his eyebrows, his eyes holding uncertainty before he leaned forward to press a gentle kiss to her lips. Ashrah's heart soared with surprise and exhileration. She melted into his touch as his hands moved to hold her waist.

She could still feel his breath on her lips after he separated from her. Her head spun and a smile formed on her face. "I look forward to the next time I return from battle."

It was a new day, you slept well, the warm day and the humidity were so pleasant for you. You got up to have breakfast, you realized that Ashrah had already left, where… you didn't know, when you got to the kitchen you realized that they had already left everything ready for you to have breakfast, you assumed the one who did that was Harumi.

While you were eating you had only one thing in mind...how to help Tomas. Although you already had a plan and the procedure, for the plan to work you had to enter his mind, and it was necessary for him to cooperate as well, that was the only difficult thing in this case, because you did not know his personality.

Once you had finished eating you prepared to go out to look for the Shirai ryu, you realized at that time that you never asked him what house he lived in or where he was staying. The fire gardens were a huge place, bigger than you remembered yesterday, so your first mission was based on finding Tomas.

And then you find him, he stood with his arms crossed leaning on a wooden railing, while he watched the Grandmaster of the Shirai Ryu training a child.

Try harder, Hanzo.- Kuai Liang told Hanzo.

You looked at the boy, you thought he would be approximately 12 or 14 years old maximum.

The boy looked at him with fury and began to hit him harder, however the Grand master to block them all.

-You have to have a clear mind, or you won't be able to fight well.-Kuai liang said reprimanding him while holding the boy's fists. Hanzo just let go abruptly.

-Calm down Hanzo.- Tomas intervened.-You must trust the advice of your grand manster.

-I already know it.- Hanzo responded annoyed, then he looked in your direction, you were right behind Tomas.-¿And who is she?.-said the younger boy.

For some reason you got nervous when Kuai Liang and Tomas turned to see you, you only managed to raise your two hands, moving them in a greeting.

-(Y/N) You're already here... Hanzo this is (Y/N), she will work with Tomas these days.- Said the Grand Master as he moved his hand in your direction, he discreetly raised an eyebrow as a signal to Hanzo for him to introduce himself to her.

-Hi I'm hanzo.- Said the young boy raising a hand in greeting.

-It's a pleasure to meet you hanzo.- You answered him smiling.

-Wait, what are the two of them going to work on?.-Hanzo asked his Grandmaster.

You didn't know whether to answer him because you didn't want to make Tomas uncomfortable, because deep down you knew that he was somehow embarrassed that he needed help for his nightmares.

For a second Tomas didn't respond either. Luckily for him, Kuai Liang intervened.

-It's a matter between the two of them, let's finish your training-Said the Grand master, then he looked at you two as a sign for you to leave.

-¿Let's go?.-You whisper to Tomas, he just nodded and they began to walk away.

In the distance you heard Hanzo's complaints towards Scorpion.

As you walked towards the house where you were staying, you broke the silence.

-¿And how do you feel today?.-You asked him. You could tell he was uncomfortable.

-Well… I'm honestly curious how you're going to fight Enenra… are you sure it's not just a nightmare?.- Tomas said while looking at you. When you looked at him you could see his beautiful eyes.

-Believe me, if there is someone who knows a lot about demons, it is Ashrah. My ability is to get into people's subconscious. Once we enter, we will define whether Enenra is there or not.- You answered to him. He started to frown but in a way that was too cute for your liking.

-Don't worry, I know you have many doubts but when we start the session you will understand.-You told him in your attempt to reassure him, You told him in your attempt to reassure him, he just nodded.

You two already arrived at your house, then went to your room, you decorated it in a very orderly and clean way that gave a relaxing feeling for Tomas taste.

Now lie down please.- You asked the ex Linkuei as you pointed your hand towards the bed.

He fulfilled your instruction. While he was lying down you helped him arrange the cushion to accommodate his head.

-It's okay like that?.- You asked him. He finished getting comfortable in bed.

-Yes, thanks you.- The boy responded. Honestly, he wasn't used to such warm treatment. Not even with his mother when she was alive.

-Perfect.- You told him with a warm smile, then you sat on a chair that you took from the kitchen.- Now I need to ask you some questions.

He just nodded with his eyes.

-How long ago did you start having nightmares about Enenra?.-That was your first question.

-I'm not sure, I think it was more than 6 months ago.- He responded looking at the ceiling.

-I see, and how frequent those nightmares have been.-You continued to ask him.

-That… I couldn't say it well, it's just that that demon is not the only thing I dream about.- He responded while continuing to look at the ceiling with an uncomfortable expression on his eyebrows, you began to notice that he was about to tell something that affected him a lot.

-Tell me.- You said, trying to be understanding with him.

-Sometimes the ghosts of my sister and my mother haunt me.- He said melancholy, you didn't know what to say to him, you knew that anything you said to him wouldn't give him comfort.

-I'm sorry to hear that, I know it must not be easy for you.- You responded as you rested your hand on his shoulder. You knew that he tried to be strong and that he had many sorrows that he never expressed.

Deep down he wanted to thank you but he didn't know how, he was self-conscious.

Then you told him that when he felt comfortable he should talk openly about his family, in the same way it was important to know about that, you knew that Enenra used to take advantage of the vulnerable points of his victims, but you considered that it was better not to make him uncomfortable.

You continued with the questions, and he answered as best he could, deep down you thought it seemed like therapy.

Once you finished all the questions, it was time to start the induction.

-Listen carefully, Tomas I'm going to induce your subconscious, it's going to be as if you were going to sleep.-You told him as you put your hands around his head as your energy began to emanate from them.

-And what am I supposed to do?.- He asked trying to look at you.

-You will tell me everything you see, as soon as you walk I will tell you where you can go...If things start to get complicated, just tell me, and I'll get you out as quickly as possible.-You told him as you began to increase your magic.

-Okay… Wait, isn't Ashrah supposed to be here too?.- Tomas began to ask as he began to close his eyes. Honestly you were wondering the same thing but there was no time for that, plus in this session they were not going to fight Enenra yet.

-Don't worry, this time it's not necessary for her to be here, we'll just see if Enenra is present or not.- You answered him. Then you began to notice that he was going to ask you something else, however he already fell asleep.

The mission had already begun.

a/n: lol sorry for the short chapter, i'm slightly burnt out right now

summary: bi han is looking for sareena

Bi Han stalked through the halls of the Lin Kuei base, a deep scowl on his face as he searched for Sareena. The used-to-be-demon was nowhere to be found, and Bi Han was irritated that he couldn’t find her anywhere. She had said to come and find her if something was ever bothering him and right now, he was extremely bothered. Nothing seemed to be going right today: his punches weren’t hitting as hard, his landings didn’t feel right, and his initiates were being more annoying than usual. Something was making Bi Han mad, and he needed to find Sareena right now.

Anyone that walked past Bi Han gave him a wide berth, not wanting to get caught in the murderous aura that he was exuding, and he was sure that he had circled the whole base around two times before he finally found the woman in the kitchen munching on some sort of snack. He called her name, and her head turned toward him. He immediately relaxed, shoulders dropping and fists unclenching as he walked toward her and brought her in for a tight hug.

She simply wrapped her arms around as well, letting the man take what he needed from her. He stayed in her arms for a while, his nose buried in her hair and his hands gripping firmly onto her back. Sareena rubbed circles into his back and hummed a small tune that Ashrah had taught her when they were both children.

“You’re evil.” Bi Han muttered into Sareena’s neck. She laughed.

“You too.” Sareena responded. Bi Han just kept her close. He wasn’t able to live without her now. He needed her now. She had changed his life irrevocably, and he would never be able to let go now.

He knew he was an idiot to pursue her.

It wasn't just the hint of forbidden romance with her–a human and a demon–that entranced Bi-Han. It was the fact that despite every upset she and Ashrah experienced, Sareena was still determined to be at her sister's side. While what Ashrah was doing was, as far as Sareena could be concerned, a drawn out suicide where it was an unknown if the two would be reunited…

Bi-Han had to admit, the dedication to her own sister was something he sorely lacked with his brothers. He betrayed them and the world and expected them to waltz along like he had done nothing. 

It was a rather stupid decision, now that he had his senses knocked into him. Repeatedly.

And worse yet, Bi-Han knew Sareena knew.

She walked over with that slight saunter she always did–only when he was around. Probably to show who was in charge. Sareena sat next to him and gave him the smile that warned him she was up to something.

"You said you wanted to see me?" She asked, eying him.

Bi-Han gave a nod. "You said you wanted to try more tea. I know the tea houses we can go to."

"A date?"

"A lesson," Bi-Han said flatly.
