A reminder that scammers are using the situation in Palestine to make a quick buck by stealing images off news sources passing it off as their own or even taking images from real people there and using it as theirs. They are finding public fundraisers on Facebook or elsewhere and saving it to use for themselves. Scammers do not care about what’s happening there; They only want to make money without caring who’s getting affected by it and making it more difficult for Palestine people to get the support they’re needing.

These scammers pretend they’re from Palestine or say their family is in Palestine and usually use a story that sounds real enough but may seem slightly flawed. They may be going around sending DMs asking for donations in private instead and their posts often have a Linktree link to obscure their PayPal. This is a recent development due to their scams getting called out so often they’ve tried to hide it but keep doing the same thing several times over. However, this isn’t to say everyone who uses that is scamming and most of the time these scammers don’t have any other link on it meaning it’s only purpose is to try and hide the PayPal link out of sight but it also means you can track where it appears! Usually a scam account will reuse links across their blogs and give away their scam.

Additionally, these scammers claiming to be in Palestine/have a family in Palestine often will insist they do what they’re doing for safety reasons if you start asking them questions about their methods. They’ll start getting details wrong, make excuses, and then tell you that you just don’t understand anything at all and that you’re attacking them because you just asked a few simple questions. There has been a case of a scammer who used photos of an American family in a hospital claiming they were in Palestine.

Unfortunately, these scams will only get more numerous in time and the scammers will try to profit off of it since there’s plenty of footage they can claim as their own and plenty of images/stories to steal and pass on as theirs. They will not tell you anything with honesty and will continue to lie for as long as they’d like. They don’t stop when called out and usually just change usernames at a rapid pace and block anyone who comments on their posts saying they’re a scammer.

As a result, here is some suggestions:

1. Donate only to verified sources that are confirmed to be going towards Palestine

2. Donate only to accounts who is verified to be someone who is a Palestine resident usually via other users who know them well

3. Always be wary of DMs from complete strangers asking for money on the spot if it’s a brand new account though older ones pop up trying scams too

4. Ask questions to those who send you DMs that only someone in Palestine would know the answer to. See what they know and how well they reply or see if they stop talking to you the instant you ask them anything. Alternatively, ask for their paypal-me link and see if they’re willing to give it to you. Type it into search and see where it goes. Pay attention to the country, the persons name, and the images they have. Record it for archiving purposes

5. Just be wary of asks sent that claim to be someone in Palestine/have a family in Palestine. As far as I know and can tell, these asks are rarely from legitimate users needing support but that’s not to say they’re all scams some may be real people

Overall, just please be careful out there and pay attention to where your money will go. Make sure it’s a verified support method and ensure the funds are going to who needs it. There are links out there that go to legitimate places, and users are free to share this and add them if they’d like.

Hey there! Expanding Hyrule needs your help!

This is a budding community and I am only one person running it at the moment and I’ve only got so much energy in a day. Even less right now. No joke, I opened the EH Discord and then immediately got knocked out by con flu for two weeks, still pending recovery.

Which is where you come in! The Internet is massive and it’s impossible for me to get the whole thing archived for this niche all by myself. So if you know works in any medium or creators in any medium who would fit into the “Original Legends” niche, send them my way! The list currently compiled only got set up because of one post that happened to get some traction. Imagine what we can do with a community working together on it! There are way more creators in the space than I currently have on the list and I need your help to find them! This niche has never been organized before and it’s only going to get organized with a team effort! So let’s get to it, adventurers!

What is “Original Legends” as a LoZ niche?

The "Original Legends" tag is a temporary tag for stories about Hyrules thus unseen. So based on the franchise as a whole and not any particular game. The community is not yet big enough to run a vote on a final pick for a tag, which is where you all come in! We're currently gathering ideas on the Discord and off this blog, so if you have suggestions, let us know! The poll will run off this blog once we have a bigger following.

Does it include sequels or Links Meet?

So this is where I need to be a little pedantic. Because technically, yes, both could be Original Legends. But. Because right now this community needs to build a strong central identity for what the core of "Original Legends" means, there may be more scrutiny for whether they get added to the archives.

The thing about direct sequel and Links Meet works is that they have tags they can rely on, chiefly the game they're a sequel to or the Links Meet tags, those are both recognized tags across fandom. There is no tag currently for the full "Original Legends" niche, so for the time being it needs to become prominent enough in the fandom to stand on its own first and then we can add wider definitions. So not a full no, you're welcome to still use the tag if you think your work applies, but for the official archive lists here, it's a not yet while we establish what this tag is first.

Where do I send works I find?

You can send them as reblogs, asks, submissions, DMs, or just plain old @'s to this blog. Some of the lists do have to have manual additions (the blog archive, the Discord list, the Wattpad reading list), so it is better if you make sure I'm aware it's being added so I can update all lists accordingly.

For art, because we're trying to keep the archive list a little more manageable, be sure to see socials and tags you use for your project. I will try to include some pictures, but you will make my life a whole lot easier if you can send me the ones you want in the gallery specifically. Ones that scan scale down nicely are better so we can again keep that list more manageable to scroll through.

What if I’m a creator in this space?

Please reach out! I'm trying to follow everyone here on Tumblr to make sure I get updates, my main is @amelias-hart and my LoZ alt is @amelias-zelda-calamity-quintet. You can ping any three of those blogs when you have updates, sending them in asks, submissions, or DMs as I'm the only moderator on this blog at present and those are open. If that changes for this blog, then the other blogs listed will still have DMs.

We also have a Discord open if you'd like to connect with other creators in the space and you can share when you post there. I set up events for people who upload on a schedule as well for anyone who like reminders that way for when fics in our archive are updating.

Are there other ways I can help?

Share this blog! On and off of Tumblr. In order for us to organize a tag like this within the whole of such a massive community, we need eyes on it and I simply do not have the reach or budget to make that happen without help.

Long term, if you have Discord experience, I will need help running that eventually, as well as the blog. If I put too much of this work on myself, then I won't have time to write either! And I'd rather not get stuck in that again. Keep an eye on the blog for news on that, I've got not idea where or how that process will start.

But the biggest, check out the works in our archives! It's very hard to coordinate and share a work that falls into a niche like this without the use of the main community tags, so a lot of these creators have been struggling to find their audience for years. Community support changes that, which begins and ends with each of you. Be the kind of fan you would want for yourself. We're all just nerds on the Internet, so we gotta look out for each other, yeah?

What if I was added to this space and I’d like to be removed?

If for whatever reason you would like your work removed from the list, contact this blog or any of my alts if there's an issue getting in touch and I'll remove it. Hi! My names Key (or Jess depending on where you know me from) and I’m here again on your dashboard to tell you about scams and the general things to look out for when you get asks for mutual aid.

Disclaimer: Not every blog asking for mutual aid is a scammer and therefore you shouldn’t assume everyone is a scammer on sight. It’s necessary to do some research into the accounts who appear in your askbox or DMs.

Anyway, what is a scam post?

A scam post is a post that’s usually asking for monetary support but isn’t being entirely honest about the reason and also may be misleading or stolen from someone else. These posts range from a variety of topics but generally are based on trending events or medical attention such as needing insulin or medicine to prevent lungs from collapsing. The scam post means that the post is false and no money sent is going to someone who needs it because the poster is lying and isn’t telling the truth about who they are or what their fundraising for and may be stealing their post off someone else to make bank. Sometimes a scam post is about needing to pay a bill for pet care and the images are stolen off another fundraiser offsite much like the usual scam.

How do you find out if something is a scam?

One of the best ways to find out if a post is a scam is to search the username of the blog and see if anyone’s made any posts about the account who sent you an ask. It’s also suggested to search the ask as well to see if it may have came from another blog who was already called out for the same scam at some point in time. You may also find the account disappears before you can answer the ask if you was waiting some time before answering it.

It’s also likely the account may reuse the same pfp/story across multiple accounts with very little change in their posting content. This means the blog sending the ask has only a few random reblogs and then one original post. What the blog hopes for is that you don’t bother scrolling down a lot to see how very few posts they may have. If you use timestamps, you’ll see that often the pinned post is a few days old or even hours old. The tags also are usually completely unrelated to the content itself. (If you’re legit and do this for visibility, don’t. It’s spam if not in reblogs. Please use only related tags as per the rules.) Sometimes the link is several colors of text. (If you do this for some reason, please consider accessibility for those who can’t see some color and may miss the link entirely.) And other times there’s a linktree link posing as something else.

Also the blog may say they’re vetted/verified but keep in mind this doesn’t matter if they don’t tell you or say anywhere on their blog who vetted them or what organization confirmed their legitimacy. They won’t say who because asking whoever it is would instantly call out the scammer themselves. It has happened already and that’s why you shouldn’t trust a ‘vetted’ blog if they don’t list anyone anywhere on their page. Some accounts will just say that and expect you to not ask anything because they can’t pass whatever means of verification is asked for.

What do you do if you know for certain a post is a scam?

Please alert anyone sharing the post and also make a post yourself compiling the evidence you’ve gathered proving the scam so others searching will see it and be able to decide for themselves if the account is a scam or not. This makes it easier for a scam blog to be found out even if they try changing urls as they always do that for some reason.

For The People Who Are Still Alive...

Hey Portal Friends and Followers,

I hope you're all doing well! Lately, I've had something on my mind that I think it's time to share with you all. Over the past year or so, my life has taken some significant turns! Major events have included graduating from college, starting my career in Design Engineering, and getting married! Life has been an exciting roller coaster, and I'm enjoying all the fun new things.

However, among all the changes, I've also been contemplating my relationship with the Portal games and the Portal Fandom. Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been active on this blog for quite a while. The Testing Queue still goes out daily but, beyond that, I haven't been sharing new artwork or engaging as much. My YouTube channel, where I used to make Portal videos and build robots and props, has been on a long hiatus too. Everything Portal-related in my life just doesn’t seem as captivating as it used to be.

These days, when I think about Portal and all the things I used to do in the fandom, it conjures a strange feeling in me. On one hand, I still hold the story and characters dear, and I fondly remember all the fantastic fanart, interactions, and stories that I’ve seen as part of the fandom. But on the other hand, the fervor and eagerness I once had seem to have softened. It's like my passion has transformed from being a passionate superfan to a calmer and more passive enthusiast.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of transition in their fandom journey? If so, I'd love to hear how you dealt with it and any insights or suggestions you might have for me. Feel free to reply or DM.

These feelings have left me with a dilemma: what to do with my blog. I don't want to abandon it or delete it, but even refilling my queue is starting to feel tiresome. Plus, without active effort I'll eventually run out of posts to queue from my archive, so maintaining the queue alone is only a temporary solution. I've been toying with the idea of inviting someone who’s more active in the fandom to become a Moderator for the blog and keep it alive with fresh content, but I'm still uncertain about this option. If you have any feedback on that idea, please reply or DM.

So that's where I stand now. My life has taken me in a new direction and, while I still love Portal, I don't have the same time and energy to invest in the fandom as before. I'm eager to find a way to keep this blog alive in a way that feels authentic and will keep the content you all followed for going for the foreseeable future.

I'd also like to use this as a space to process my own relationship to my own tummy on here. I grew up with an extended family who was EXTREMELY fatphobic, but also parents who recognized it and did their level best to keep from passing it down - so I have a complex history with body image.

I also struggle with chronic illness, which has been dragging my weight all over hell's half acre for a solid decade now. Currently I'm trying to heal after a disastrous experience with a medication that left me underweight, so you might see me posting a bit on healthy weight gain and such as I navigate that.

Welcome to the Survival of the Fattest! Here’s how this is gonna work:

This blog is experimental. I guess think of it as like a social experiment. This is not a traditional RP blog. I will start out with five muses. There will be four rounds of the tournament. Towards the end of each round, the muse who has received the LEAST amount of asks will be eliminated.

How does elimination work? Basically, a random muse will receive a hit to vore the muse that needs to be eliminated. When a hit goes out will be up to me, the mun. That being said, once a hit goes out, I will ask for viewer input on how things go down~

I guess from that perspective, the title is a bit misleading, since it’s more of a popularity contest than anything, but I figured this is the fairest method. Characters will still be consistently getting fatter over time of course. In my opinion, vore without weight gain is like an angel without wings.

Also, as for weigh ins, I will update the weight section of every muses bio at the start of each new round, but if you ever want me to update a specific muses weight, just send in an ask asking for a weigh in. Please don’t spam me with weigh in requests though!

Since in the ideal scenario, the cast of muses will not be very consistent, I will not be doing threads, so this blog will primarily ask/prompt focus. That being said, if you want to be a little creative, then I think I’m fine with asks being sent in character. That being said, I’d prefer it for in-character stuff to be framed as a message/letter/email/etc., since I don’t think it would make much sense for the setting for random characters to show up aside from the main contestants. Perhaps your muse is a sponsor of one of the contestants? A fan of the show? It’s up to you! TLDR: I will allow a RPing through asks a little bit. Also, one last note, I will not be doing private RP through DMs either, sorry again. (Also mutuals only plz, unless I know ur a sideblog)

As the name suggests, this is just me having fun sharing memes, fanart, fanfictions and so on. These posts will be tagged as #Mod speaks and #Mod reblogs. If interacting with people via comments, I also use //mod to clarify who's speaking, as well as )) at the end of my messages in DMs. If you want to ask me a question/make a request for me personally, please address we with "Mod", so I know whom you're targeting.

In Character Interactions

A big part of this blog are my RP interactions with Tumblr users or other RP accounts in character. You will find a lot of One-Liner-Style Roleplay Posts on here. Character reactions will always be tagged with #Sasori RP. Additionally, all my answers/reblogs/posts in character will be written in red font.

As of now, there are no limitations to Asks. You can ask a question or hop straight into RP if you want. Keep in mind though, that if you wish to start a longterm RP, I'd prefer you to contact me via DMs, so that our back and forth doesn't clutter my feed for an extended period of time.

Roleplaying Semi-Lit/Lit/Novella

I'll discuss the plot and ideas with you, exchange requirements and will decide eventually, if I'm down or not. I don't have a lot of time, therefore I don't want to commit to too many Roleplays at once. I also only commit to Roleplays, that personally inspire me. For everything else, such as RPs that aren't fully my cup of tea, for crack interactions and similar things, I offer the short-term interactions I mentioned above.

As of now, this committed type of RP will be tagged as #Longterm RP for the time being. Perhaps I will come up with a better solution in the future. Despite it being RP, it will not be coloured in the before mentioned font colour, so as to increase the readability of long walls of text.

The Long-Term Roleplays are closed threads. Only the person whom I've agreed to RP with, is allowed to reblog the posts.

General Rules

Everyone is welcome on my blog. Regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity and age. Keep in mind though, that this blog may contain content for mature audiences, such as violence, cursing, sex and occasional (written) gore. I will try my best to tag sensitive posts as mature.

Long support request about my "Blocked Blogs Get Un-Blocked" Bug

(Note: Example usernames are censored below because they're just blogs that annoy me. If you want the names for experimental purposes, DM me; if you want them because you trust my judgment, don't. Don't trust my judgment.)

"I have an ongoing issue wherein blogs I have blocked on my main blog ("snarp") will become un-blocked without any action from me. This in some cases requires me to re-block nuisance blogs multiple times per day, which is extremely frustrating and unpleasant.

If this is a known bug with a known cause, please disregard the below. (If it isn't, I apologize for the length of this report.)

While it could be selection bias, this bug APPEARS to occur most often with blogs falling into one of two categories:

1) Posts by the blog frequently appear in a "dashboard-view" Tumblr feed: the dashboard (because someone I follow reblogged them, the post was blazed, etc), the For You feed, a tag I frequently view, etc.

Example: Several people I follow reblog frequently posts by the blogs "X" and "Y," and I find that I have to re-block them every few days.

2) The blog frequently replies to popular posts with large numbers of replies from others.

Example: User "Z", who makes many replies to many heavily-replied-to posts, has to be re-added to my blocklist at least once a week.

If what I'm seeing here is a genuine pattern and not just selection bias (which I know is likely), it COULD suggest that these blogs are being removed from the blocklist as a side effect of pagination bugs:

As I'm sure Support is aware, a long-enough consecutive sequence of hidden replies (due either to individual user blocks or the site-wide spam-flagging/"shadowban" state) will cause the mobile app and browser dashboard replies views to stop paginating, often incorrectly appearing entirely empty. This is also true of posts from blocked/shadowbanned blogs on the dashboard and tag views.

(Ex 1: If a post receives 20 spam replies in a row, and OP blocks all the spamblogs, all replies past that point will be unviewable.

Ex 2: If a blog I follow reblogs 20 posts in a row from a blog I've blocked, my dashboard "ends" just before these reblogs begin - I can't scroll any further in the mobile app, and the "Next" button is absent in-browser.)

(Digression: I think this is likely the cause of the bug which can make tags for controversial political issues appear empty to some users but not others, leading these users to believe the tag to have been intentionally censored: people with strong opinions on these topics are likely to block/report and be blocked/reported.)

Since I most often seem to encounter the blogs-become-unblocked bug in contexts wherein Tumblr is attempting to paginate, I think it's possible that some background process is un-blocking these blogs to allow for pagination, then failing to re-block them.

The main reason I suspect that this might be related that (1) I've never seen anyone else complain of blogs being removed from their blocklist, and (2) I block unusually-heavily and -frequently, which causes me to encounter blocking-related pagination glitches unusually-frequently.

𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐘 ☁          i’m semi selective, especially as someone who’s starting out in the rp scene on tumblr. i have roleplayed on tumblr before, but not consistently since 2012-2015. i would prefer to roleplay with mutuals, but i am definitely open to making more connections if i’m not following you/you’re not following me. now when it comes to age, i only want to roleplay with people who are 21+, as i’m uncomfortable making connections with anyone below that. please have your age somewhere on your blog (or at least mention that you're 21+) if you'd like me to interact with you! themes on my blog may be suggestive and not necessarily NSFW (yet there still may be that chance), but i still want to keep that boundary. suggestive/NSFW themes WILL be tagged. also, i’m completely fine with roleplaying with duplicates! in fact, i find it very fun and encourage it. when it comes starting roleplays, feel free to send me a DM, ask/prompt, or just tag me in a post if i don't have an open RP post going!

𝐀𝐒𝐊 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐒/𝐈𝐍𝐁𝐎𝐗 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐒 ☁         when it comes to sending in asks, i would like them to be limited to only 2 (at most) per prompt! i love being given options, but it does get a bit overwhelming if there's too many, especially with multi-muse blogs. i may also decide to just pick one or the other instead of both, as my brain sometimes struggles with juggling multiple threads. ADHD and all.

𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓 ☁          please do not interact with me or my blog if you write or condone racism of any kind (this also includes white-washing), homophobia, transphobia, pedophilia, grooming, misogyny, nazism, zionism, ableism, pseudocest, and/or incest. i also do not want to interact with pro-shippers, especially people who ship kaeluc or chengxian, as it makes me incredibly uncomfortable. if i follow you and you do any of that and i somehow didn’t realize it until later, then goodbye! you get no notice. in continuation with above, if i notice you’re in contact with minors, even if you don’t write NSFW with them (which i hope to GOD you don’t),  it’s an autoblock as well. you do you, but i ain’t about that life.

𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆 ☁          i love shipping very much and i am a multi-shipper, but it is not a priority by any means. i love making connections overall and i do not plan to make romantic (or sexual) connections within a single interaction. i want our characters to build a relationship from the ground up, even if there are pre-established connections in canon. if our characters do manage to make a meaningful connection, then we can communicate about them going further! speaking of shipping, i am completely okay with our characters having a polyamorous relationship (not harem) or having other relationships in different verses. (ie. my character x your character in the main verse / your character x another character or my character x another character in a modern verse/au, etc.) i'm also actually fine with your character having multiple other relationships in the same verse. those can be separate, i really don't mind. only time i mind is if they're all acknowledged at once in that same verse without proper communication, as my muses will see that as cheating, if any of that makes sense.

𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐒 & 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐒 ☁          this blog may contain suggestive themes, violence, blood, murder, manipulation, death, etc. of course, all of these themes will be tagged appropriately when roleplayed! though, if there are any themes or warnings that could harm/trigger you, please let me know right away. i want to make sure you are comfortable and do not wish to upset you. communication is key, and i want to make sure we have that connection established. triggers will be tagged as “tw (xyz)”. example: ��tw blood”. as for NSFW, there will be suggestive things, and if a roleplay is heading into the NSFW direction, then i ask it to take it to DMs. speaking of NSFW/suggestive things, it will be tagged as “usfw //”, “nsfw //”, or “tw suggestive” depending on the context.

𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒 ☁          i’ve mentioned it in “selectivity”, but i have not properly roleplayed on tumblr since 2012-2015. i had a brief time roleplaying in 2020 as wei wuxian, but since then i’ve mostly just roleplayed on discord with friends or on FFXIV. with that being said, my writing may be a little… odd? in the sense that i’m not an expert when it comes to formatting on tumblr (whatwith the changes to making new posts and stuff, since i moved over to twitter once yahoo bought tumblr out). i may try to mold and match to your rp style (in terms of formatting), so if that makes you uncomfortable, please let me know! it’s definitely not to copy you, but moreso for me to “assimilate” (in lack of another term) so i’m not too out-of-place.

💜Requests: Requests are when you have a full-length idea for a yandere character. You have a general plot you wish the story would follow, the reader has a specific trait you like (shy, preppy, etc.). The reason I haven't opened requests in a long time is that I tend to get a little anxious when writing people's requests. I worry that I'll let them down in some way, this usually leads to writer's block. That's why I think I work better with suggestions and asks, as opposed to requests. That way people get to see the character they want and I'm able to write anxiety and writer's block free!

💜Suggestions: Suggestions (much like Asks) will always and forever be open. They're my way of brainstorming story ideas and including my followers in the writing process. You can always send in suggestions for any characters. I.E -Yandere! (character) with a darling who's scared of the dark. Or. What would happen if Yandere!(character) suddenly realized they love their darling? Or even. How would/this is how I think, this character would be as a Yandere?- There's absolutely no templet for suggestions, it's just me wanting to hear my readers' thoughts on different characters (or sometimes I might ask for suggestions for a specific character/series) if you ever have anything on your mind about any character I write for, always feel free to send it in. I'll try to answer them as quickly as possible. Suggestions are also my way of seeing if my readers would be interested in a certain character/series before I commit to writing for it.

💜Asks: Asks are super general and they (much like Suggestions) will always be open. They can literally be you sending in how you think a character would act as a Yandere or asking me how I think a character would act as a Yandere. They can even be personal things you wish to ask/tell me. I.E - Hi Genie, how was your day? How's Uni going? I think you should watch this show. This song gives off vibes that I think you'd like. I have an idea I think you'd like.- Again there are no templates for asks, they are just my way of engaging/interacting with my readers.

💜Violent topics, blood, and gore are recurring themes on this blog, if they make you uncomfortable I recommend not following.
