so lee and the cold… i’m being so completely honest.. i haven’t thought about how the rise fam found out. i will probably make a sketch about it later cause now you got me thinking about it. i’m thinking that, maybe, just hear me out.. he’ll get cold..? and have a panic attack 😄😄 -more about that coming soon in sketch form:)

leo and donnie: lee is still the mom of the group, but in a way that his brothers respect him highly. lee is impressed by rise donnie and is proud of him but worries that he might accidentally pressure him too much like he sometimes did with 12 donnie. 12 leo is also scared for his brothers, in the way that they value themselves. he doesn’t want rise donnie to think that lee is proud of him because he’s smart, he wants him to know that he loves him for much more then that. trauma am i right:)) on a more light hearted level, the disaster twins are constantly competing with one another to impress lee (praise from their badass big brother) and for the longest time lee has no idea what is going on.

2012 raph is ridiculously protective of rise mikey. this doesn’t mean that he loves rise mikey any more then 12 mikey, it’s just that rise mikey is still very young and still acts like it, and raphs got a major soft spot for him. together they enjoy being sarcastic little shits(affectionate) to their brothers and they like to do art together. mikey uses his ‘youngest and smallest of them all’ powers to get constant piggyback rides from everyone, especially 12 raph. don’t mess with the short boys they will bite your knees off

for the weighted blankets, the 12 twins both use them(lee and raph). raph got one bc lee introduced them to him. rise donnie uses one, and weighted blankets are always kept in the lair if anyone wishes to use one. rise mikey has a few different hammocks in his room that he can change out or hang up all at once and a few of them are therapy hammocks that him and his brothers use to help with anxiety and sleep. basically they have all used one at one point and it just depends on the person.

for the trauma part… not all their problems are solved yet..🤫 but the 12 boys do their best to be there for them. to listen and not dismiss the fear or pain. rarely did the 12brothers get a break to stop and process what was going on and their lives were never normal. while they are there for the rise boys in every way they can be, let’s be honest they need to stop and figure themselves out too.

Weathervane: Chapter 1

~| Tired Beginnings |~

It was a wonder that Vera Wilson Roberts had not had the shit beaten out of her yet.

In any American high school movie, she would already be locked into a toilet stall as several tall white boys laughed pretentiously as her shrieks got progressively higher.

Hell, she would’ve bullied herself.

Plenty of things to make fun of; her flat chest, her dark skin, her lack of right arm, her messy hair, the dark speckles of stubble clinging to her chin even after her best efforts with a razor.

But nobody seemed to really care at this school.

I guess there are weirder. She thought, walking past a group of young, greasy-looking students with redder eyes than white, staggering out of the bike shed and mumbling vague biblical teachings.

The walls of the school were bleak and grey, the boards that made up the floor scuffed and long without shine. Vera had no idea how people could ever exist in this place without being incredibly depressed, let alone learn.

This was the first time she had been in a school for five years. It was nothing like she remembered. Homeschooling had been fun, her mother was a good teacher, perhaps the best. If Vera was feeling off, because of oestrogen or any other reason, they would have a day off. Perhaps they would visit a forest, or the ocean, or go into a city. Or they wouldn’t do any of that and waste the day away with the back doors of the caravan open to the sky with a pile of books and a Hozier playlist.

Either way, she had enjoyed it. Schoolwork was easy, and she finished it fast. However, this new strict seven periods of pressure and anxiety, accompanied with homework, were not something she thought she’d take to so easily.

First period was alright. So was second, and third, and fourth, and fifth, and sixth, and seventh. It was all ‘alright’. Introduction were finished, no one had even given her a second glance, everyone seemed content to call her a girl and ignore her prosthetic.

And so that’s what she told her mother, washing the dishes as the sun pushed rosy rays through the windows of the caravan.

“Oh honey, don’t say that! I’m sure they’ll be something entertaining that happens in the future.”

“Nah.” Vera pulled her stuff out of her schoolbag, dumping it on the sofa and flipping open her notepad. “It’s gonna be like an endless loop. An endless purgatory of alright.”

Her mum smiled, her eyes crinkling at the corners in that friendly way that always made Vera feel safe. “Tell you what. After this week is over, shall we go out of town for a bit? I saw that there’s this lovely forest a little north from here.”

Vera sighed. “Maybe. I’m not really sure we’ll be able to because of homework.”

She contorted her face in disgust. “Yeuch. Homework. I never liked it at all. What’s even the point of taking all that stress back to your home? It can’t help anyone.”

“I agree. But we can’t do much about it just now.” She pulled out her pencil and started to sketch.

There was no sound except the splashing of water and the clinking of plates.

“So…” Vera sighed. She knew what was coming. “Have you…talked to anyone? Got to get to know anybody?”

“No.”

Her mother winced. “Vera, love…now that we’re staying in one place, at least for the foreseeable future…you’ve got to make friends. Talk to people.”

“Mmhmm.”

Her mother splashed her with water from the sink. “Come on. You know what I’m talking about. I got the job at the local newspaper, and I’ve got my eye on a flat nearby. We’ll be here for a pretty long time. It’s important to make friends.”

Vera made a noncommittal gesture. “I get it. Let me settle in then I’ll start making friends.”

“Sounds good to me, love. And who knows.” She winked. “You might even get yourself a girlfriend.”

“Mum!”

She grinned. “You never know. I’m sure you’ll be fine. You’re a lovely young lady.”

Vera withheld a snarky remark, reabsorbing herself in the pages of her sketchbook. This one was half full already, but there were another three completely stuffed ones in one of the drawers under her bed.

The evening wandered on, with Vera’s mother driving them to the car park next to the woods, opening the back to allow fresh air and birdsong to flow through their wheeled home. The soft chords of Cherry Wine mingled with the scent of curry and chicken, cooked over a low heat on a small stove.

Vera had sketched the figure of a fox below a sprawling oak, said tree not far from her perch on the top bed, but the fox a figment of her imagination, a splash of flame red amidst the browns and greens. In her mind, the fox was a lonely shapeshifter who lived deep in the woods, with wild ginger hair and a lanky frame when they were human.

They’re probably autistic. Yeah. That would make sense, wouldn’t it?

“Vera!”

She felt the bed dip as her mother crawled up next to her, her apron stained with a few smears of orange powder. She smiled as she handed Vera a steaming bowl of curry, tucking a piece of pitta alongside it.

Vera shifted to the side, leaving the notepad and pencil on her pillow, allowing her mother to carefully place a tray down, on which were balanced two glasses of water and her mother’s bowl.

As Vera moved her bowl back to the tray, her mother leaned across and pressed a quick kiss to her forehead. Vera recoiled; dramatic disgust etched all over her face. Her mother laughed, long and loud.  

“Sorry, darling. You looked so gorgeous in the moonlight.”

Vera snorted. “Sure.” She paused, watching the steam from the curry fog up her mother’s glasses, resting among her dark curls. “What’s all this for?”

Her mother smiled gently. “The fireflies.” She pointed out toward the wood, the oak tree and the sequined skies beyond. “I saw about them in the local newspaper; ‘Fireflies Spotted In Halloway Woods: First In Over Twenty Years.�� Isn’t that amazing? Just in time for us.”

Her mouth twisted into a smile. “I doubt it’s us, but that does sound nice.”

They sat in silence for a few minutes, the clinking of bowls and last echoes of late-night birdsong, until specks on light flickered into fiery life deep in the woods. Her mother gasped quietly, as Vera sighed, retaining the quiet curling around them like fog.

The fireflies drifted through the woods, their light ever-thrumming like the beating of hearts. There was no purpose, no goal to the insects, just the lighting of the path and the journeys of tiny travellers.

Open hand or closed fist would be fine

A suspiciously smiling Emmet! I drew this after a mild discussion about various things with friends, I had fun going crazy with brushes without any particular expectation!

WIP! I got really into Mairimashita! Iruma-kun and had to port my favorite train men into the series somehow! I had fun with the symmetry tool here!

From an ex-tempore session where I drew outside and pasted it in the magma, two of my most beloved puyo puyo characters: Satan and Schezo! They're having their usual not very pleasant staredown! (the drawing is kind of incomplete since I was making sure only that they fit in the canvas, sorry)

I was gonna post this one alongside his twin, but alas I haven't found the motivation yet to design Depot Agent Levi... This, however, is Depot Agent Lucifer!! A young aspiring trainer who joined the battle facility to sharpen his combat abilities, which were already pretty good. He is a serious man who takes his pokémon battles to heart much like Emmet and enjoys opponents who have a well thought out strategy to fight him with! He works in the Singles Lines as a solo trainer and in the Multi Lines with his twin Levi!

Writing Scraps- Creature’s Comfort

I’ve found as I’ve started writing again that I go through two different openings before finding one that sticks, and I keep those on the doc in case I liked the previous one better.

Because I think these things are neat and it’s not quite the same as posting a sketch dump, I’m gonna share the stuff I don’t use and label them Writing Scraps for easier reference. With that, here’s two intros for an upcoming fic that I didn’t like as much but thought they’d be fun to share.

Opening #1-

Sun Wukong had seen sick mortals before. Seen sick immortals too- he himself had been severely under the weather several times in his very long life. The king could tell when a cold was from natural causes or a curse inflicted on somebody. Sun Wukong had also had front row seats for sicknesses that, to this day, leave him wanting to drag his eyes through dirt as some sort of solace to the disgusting images burned into his brain.

A thought that had only crossed his mind once in the past year was what would happen if his successor-turned-kid got ill, and that potentially disastrous line of intrusive thoughts only came about because MK told him of the cursed meatballs he ate when Wukong was away.

“So, did you actually win anything, or was that stunt purely for bragging rights?” he drawled as he leaned against a recently pulverized rock, one eyebrow quirked in a way that said 'This is hilarious and I am never letting you forget it’.

MK tapped his staff down firmly and squared up his shoulders, looking prouder than he had any right to be. “Well I had to set a new record!” he stated, before the proud stance melted into a more humbled slouch, and his student brought his hand up to rub the side of his face sheepishly. “Definitely not worth the city-shaking hiccups, or making Sandy go on a conveniently timed quest for the cure…”

Opening #2-

Sun Wukong liked keeping the technology he used limited. Not for any “The good old days were better” reasons, because indoor plumbing, WiFi, and video games are easily in his Top 5 list of best innovations and no one will ever pry those from his cold, stone hands.

It was strictly for his privacy. His lawyer had to fight him literally tooth and nail to get another computer- too many instances of people finding his one and only personal email years back had led to some very interesting letters. Letters that some lower deities would consider curses to the eyes for their content.

Because no, Sun Wukong will not be sending pictures of any kind to anyone, he will not look at any pictures his weirder fans send him, and he’d prefer to be stewed alive before he read another story that shared waaaay too much personal information.

Even with those very good reasons presented in a very professional manner to his lawyer, he was shot down.

“Handwritten letters from your Fortress of Solitude take ages to get here Wukong. I’m tired of playing Heavenly Messenger to get your approval for these licenses, Wukong.”. While he could’ve argued with that, after getting a new laptop and seeing how fast communication had gotten with computers, he conceded that it was a solid investment alone for getting his lawyer off his back. Now he just needed to answer those emails.

A laptop, a TV, and a gaming console were all he wanted. It was simple! Three easy outlets to enjoy the near infinite library of digital media, and an avenue for his contacts to message him and be promptly ignored.

Then MK became a part of his life again, almost two years went by, and now he had a phone. Arguments of ‘It’s helpful! We can contact each other without using monkey mind powers! I can send you all my favorite memes!’ wore him down faster than anything. Possibly because the kid also used the underhanded move of the puppy dog face combined with a little guilt tripping. Just dusted on top, like some guilty sugar.

My recent post (16 different messy link sketches!) was a bit hard for me to share because it's both messy and not really appealing to look at imo. But this blog reblogging it was really nice and helped me out to keep going.

So this might be a silly question, but I was wondering, do you have a preference on what you would like to share for this blog? You might not and that's okay, but if there is a preference, I might want to try focusing my art on that if possible.

ahhh yes, i thought those sketches were very cute! i enjoy them immensely. i went through your blog a little to familiarize myself again with your work, its very good. i don't think you should sell yourself short

IMO of what kind of artwork you should be making, whatever the hell you want. Don't let the lure of notes and popularity lead you to draw things you dont enjoy drawing. It's your skill, your time, your materials, no one should dictate what you do with them. unless its for commission, but that's a whole 'nother ball game

as far as my own personal preferences to what i reblog, im pretty open. though i do have some general rules that i follow. First of all, the artwork has to be from the artist themselves, ooooorrrr in rare occasion, the artist has to be linked prominently. like, i sometimes reblog stuff from RetroGamingBlog2, even though they do not create art, but does link to the artist.

second, the art has to be mostly zelda related. i prefer all zelda related, but, ehh. Like, sometimes people draw smash bros, which has some zelda characters, but not all of them. if its like, one zelda character in a scene of ten, i'll probably skip it. same thing with people posting "art dumps" of sketches with lots of different fandoms. like, if its ten pictures and only one or two are zelda, i might pass. the art has to be of substantial quality to get me to reblog it, cuz i do consider what my audience might like to see. the only exception is artist commissions pages, i do reblog commissions pages regardless of if they are in the zelda fandom or not.

third, i do try to reblog as much from learning artists as more skillful ones, but sometimes the quality just isnt there. and esp. if the learning artist posts many pictures at a time, i might just choose a couple to reblog instead of spamming everyone with a lot of that artist. or it goes straight into the queue, which doles out art over a period of time at a more manageable rate

and fourth, i try not to reblog Ben Drowned stuff, cuz im not really sure its zelda related??? i also find horror stuff distasteful in general, esp without proper content warnings. but that doesn't mean i havent. and usually that stuff isn't tagged by the OG posters, and i'll add tags myself, which slows me down if i have to add a lot of tags. cuz anyone who follows this blog knows i reblog a lot XD

the last thing i'll touch upon is the lemon stuff. im ok with lemon content, heck i make my own lemon content, which i've reblogged to this blog ^^* i tag it "legend of lemon" for anyone who wants to block the tag. and now tumblr has added that mature filter, which is such a big help. sometimes the OG poster doesn't add a mature label and i'll just do it myself to ere on the side of caution. that being said, most lemon art is not posted by the OG artist, and doesn't have a link to the artist either. i also find some lemon art personally distasteful, and i feel weird reblogging it even with a mature label and tags. BUT, ya know, im here to serve. if people want me to reblog everything, then everything i shall reblog. i know there is quite the split in the zelda fandom between lemon and not lemon. i've been blocked by a couple folks because of it XD

Wanna hear about my forest unicorns?

Oh good. Because this little shit got out of control thanks to my patrons in a matter of a month.

They’re small, potbellied, scruffy, foragers that use their horns to knock fruit out of tree.

Actually not just fruit. I decided they like to scrape mushrooms off bark, fuck around with squirrel stores, break up berry bushes and generally snuffle out whatever food they can find before winter comes. At which point their horn drops off, they squeeze their round bodies into a tree hollow, or a cave, or a very irritated badgers den and hibernate till the new season when their horn grows back and they return to their oblivious bliss of foraging, eating, sleeping and laying fruit induced chocolate truffles. I enjoy creature design just for the sport of creature design.

So, as u can see, just a scrappy little character as a scrappy little sketch for my patron. This of course came with a rabbit hole of research and a MASSIVE hyper-fixation post about my journey in designing said unicorn (and another kind of unicorn that I like to call the stabby fuck). It’s not unusual for my patreons to get a massive text dump of my thoughts but even by my standards that one was bat shit.

Puzzlebois merm AU ideas (Adopted)

Update: AU has been adopted.

I’ve had some merm AU ideas for awhile, but no time or motivation to actually write it, so I’m just dumping it here on tumblr for adoption. Bonus merm Yugi design is up for adoption with the fic ideas as well.

Yugi is a researcher. (A merm scientist for his colony. A breakaway from the trope that humans catch a research merms. Now a merm is here to study humans.) Yugi swims inland into a freshwater lake to study humans over summer break.

He enjoys it so much he decides to stick around in the off season too to take notes on humans during the fall and winter.

Atem’s family owns a lake home and he’s staying there in the off months to get his life together. (Maybe he flunked out of university, or got into a lot of fights, or was giving his father a rough time. So he’s staying at their lake house while he figures out what he wants to do.)

Atem makes a habit of going out to the dock everyday to sit and stare at the lake, throw rocks in, fish, whatever.

Yugi notices him and decides to study him. Starts taking notes on this human.

Yugi decides to run some experiments, and document the human’s reactions. The experiment involves leaving random items he finds on the dock.

Everyday when Atem goes out on the dock he finds something new. A bottle cap, an old waterlogged expensive watch, a perfect conch shell (how the hell did it wind up in a freshwater lake), a handful of yen coins, a bikini top, a gemstone, a dented tin can of spinach, etc etc.

Yugi documents whatever Atem does with the random stuff.

Atem begins to realize someone is leaving him “gifts.” Everyday he pockets the gifts.

Yugi tries leaving something yucky, like a wad of seaweed.

Atem pockets that too.

Atem begins leaving random gifts on the dock too for this strange “person.”

Yugi starts hoarding all the strange things Atem leaves for him, and documenting all of them. Studying the objects and sketching pictures of the ones he’s unfamiliar with.

Atem gives “the stranger” things like a belt, a pair of fingerless gloves, a choker, a slice of pizza, hats, crackers, a duel monster card, etc.

Atem begins to suspect that this person leaving gifts is actually in the lake. Like a lake monster.

He leaves a gift early one morning and then lays flat against the dock so he cannot be seen from the water. He waits for the creature to reach up and try and take his gift. Snatches the creature’s wrist and hauls him up out of the water.

Yugi and Atem stare at each other in shock. Yugi still caught by his wrist.

Yugi’s people have an old wives tale that a human’s weak spot is their nose. That it’s a sensitive spot for them. So if they ever catch you, just punch the human in the nose. (Like the advice humans give on how to drive off sharks.) Yugi punches Atem in the nose. And Atem let’s him go.

Yugi flees.

Atem stands there holding his nose and trying not to cry.

The next day Atem shows up on the dock with bandages over his nose. He’s got a peanut butter sandwich as a gift and a peace offering. He calls out to the strange merm creature, trying to tell it he’s sorry.

Yugi watches from nearby, curious.

Anyway, those are all the ideas I thought up for this AU. (Obviously considered putting smut in it eventually, because I’m weak for monsterxhuman stuff.) but as I’m never gonna write it, I figured I’d just throw this AU out for adoption. If anyone wants this AU, wants to adopt it, just ask. Yugi merm design comes with it, since I have no plans for it either.

ALRIGHT ON TO THE QUESTIONS SO BUCKLE UP, BUDDY! Because I’m about to do something that only a few people would ever get through - R A N T i MEAN ansWERINg questions. Please, and this is very important, take my answers with a grain…no…A GIGANTIC OCEAN WORTH OF SALT. I’m but a commoner who loves Callum and Aaravos a little bit too much. Also due to the nature of tumblr ask limiting me to only 10-30 images(?)…in this arguably somewhat of an argumentative essay…So um SORRY for the lack of illustrations and that I tried my best to answer as clearly as I could. With that being said…Bust out the popcorn and enjoy!🍿🍿🍿

1. Have you ever thought of writing a fic for this au??

I’m not the biggest fan of writing or reading for that matters (hahah which is ironic because I have to somewhat write a script for this) BUT! I did have all of the outlines of the plot planned out. I’m only good at writing dynamics - aka relationships between people. I still need the canon explanation on a lot of things because there is no way in hell I’ll get the magic system right UNLESS THEY SHOW IT TO ME JESUS FRICKIN CHRIST-

So yea, no written fanfic but there is an existing script, several comic drafts with some missing lore that I hope the show will reveal~ I dub their story ‘Masters of the Primals’ and here’s a sketch of one of the covers~

2. What would the other characters reactions be to finding out callum freed aaravos and even ran away with him? I really wanna know rayla and his brother's reactions maybe even the other elves reactions to his actions.

Oh I’ve actually written a draft abt this so I can either dump all the ugly sketches in your face— or tell you about it… Let’s do both because only the most obscure of my followers have the patience for my shenanigoogles anyways.

So! Due to the fact that we saw the mirror is now placed in a regular room within the castle (in ss4 trailer) chances are the whole situation you’re looking at here

probably took place within the walls of A REGULAR ROOM OF THE CASTLE. Therefore if Aaravos’s return did trigger some sort of ancient alarm and the place was swarmed, Ezran and Soren would be the first to know of this incident. The way I see it… it was shown in ss4 that Callum has been brooding and upset for 2 years ever since Rayla left. So in the brief moments that Ezran got to see his brother with Aaravos, Callum was smiling and genuinely being the happiest that he has ever seen for the first time IN FOREVER (when he tried to introduce Aaravos to Ezran and explained himself with whatever the truth relating to this man is) was enough proof for him.

Ezran would probably be the first, and quickest to trust in Callum’s heart. I think he would definitely yell at his brother to get his ass out of the kingdom and pursue his own happiness and that he will see him later (maybe when Aaravos told Callum to stay with Ezran, nudged him forward but instead Callum hugged his brother goodbye, then grabbed the man’s hand and and booked it before all hell break lose)

Soren’s reaction might be the most fun and one that I’ve also written a script for. He would at first, definitely be on the elves side because well…Aaravos is evil and dangerous is all that he’s told. So he might have been neutralized either frozen in place or sent flying when Aaravos impulsively protected Callum from being harm. Later him and Rayla would definitely try to hunt Callum down believing that Aaravos somehow - brainwashed or manipulated Callum into running off and doing evil with him (which there is no proof of btw they’re REALLY JUST ASSUMING that they’re doing bad things because of Aaravos’s history lol.) Callum will always opt to tell the truth, what he did know about Aaravos, how he manipulated Viren and how he was the caterpillar bug thingy that Soren saw before. This, of course, would reasonably anger Soren. As for Rayla, well she has all the reasons to destroy Aaravos because that’s all she’s told about him, and considering she now know he did played a role in the previous war via what the elves had told her...it’s not like she would think otherwise.

So they fight.

I dub this the ‘Callum kicking literally everybody’s ass’ - The Arc.

Aaravos would help but I think my boy got it cover. Callum on the other hand…he’s just so done with hearing the same thing over and over: Aaravos is evil; he’ll devour your soul; he’s going to take over the worlddd. Which to him sounded a bit much considering all they have been doing ever since running away was LITERALLY FIXING THE ELVES AND DRAGON��S PROBLEMS like fighting op bandits, quieting the cold wars that probably exist somewhere in Xadia, helping to restore the magic back to the dying lands, etc ALL OF THIS WHILST BEING HUNTED DOWN BY THE SYSTEM ITSELF BECAUSE ??? AARAVOS IS EVIL HE’S A CRIMINAL HE MUST BE STOPPED etc etc. Note that it might have been months when Rayla and Soren finally caught up to these two, which gave Callum plenty of time to learn combat tactics and creative ways to use his power with both his and Aaravos’s massive brains combined.

So in short, Callum is just done. He’s done perpetuating the broken system. A system, which by the way, if you remember, condemned Rayla’s parents thinking they ran away WHEN THEY HAD THE TOOL TO FIND OUT IF THAT WAS TRUE OR NOT BY USING THE SAME SPELL CALLUM DID AT THE STORM SPIRE A system that believed Amaya deserved death without giving her a chance to trial because — war and discrimination??? (Janai had to begged for her life and even then she’s still treated by the ruling class as a “pet”) A system that sent assassins to murder knowing that it will PROBABLY perpetuate the cycle of violence, with the person who ATTEMPTED THIS ACT aka the dragon queen btw don’t forget this, literally sent Callum and Ez’s dad to his grave, took a nap and woke up acting like this was what she wanted ALL ALONG (face palming so hard at the writing for this) AND FINALLY, a system where, from the start, knowingly half-heartedly helped human via the act of the unicorns giving the human primal stones itself (check the wiki for this I’m sure this is canon somehow) is a cruel joke disguises as an act of kindness, in my opinion anyway. I can say one thing for certain, if there is no need for dark magic, it wouldn’t have existed. No one would need it because well—they can already do primal magic. SO SOMETHING along the line of HOW primal magic was used and WHO used the primal magic AND WHAT was it used for, must have not been LIFE-SAVING due to the fact that the human poems recalled their town being attacked by dragons and the ancient dark mage recall tales of famine and plagues. A system that has been looking down on humanity since the dawn of their existence.

But this isn’t to say the humans didn’t do anything wrong either, as the show constantly trying to shove the fact that human mages and dark magic = bad at our faces lols. However…I wanna talk about something else... King Harrow’s bad kingdom management choices. It wasn’t dark magic that’s at fault. IT WAS HARROW(not entirely but for the main conflict of the show it's definitely his fault) — which i will dissect more in the later answer about Callum. But for now all I will say this: DARK MAGIC ISN’T THE BAD GUY HERE. Callum woke up to the truth when he met Aaravos and realized that he can’t choose between two ambiguously terrible systems…so he decided to leave them both! He recognizes that there are countless of people who still rely and are living some what happy and peaceful lives within these systems, therefore him and Aaravos running away to just be themselves, to live their own lives, to be happy was the best course of action to take.

I think that the comic draft about their fights sorta already explained how the other elves and dragons see this scandalous(lol) event : Aaravos scheming something terrible with the human mage. Some of them probably think Callum got manipulated or brainwashed, others immediately condemned him because PREJUDICE~ Human’s always gotta be human~ and what not. That’s all I can say regarding to this aspect of the story. Bonus content, how Aaravos feels about his student’s friends comic draft:

3. I genuinely want to know your thoughts on canon callum, his writing, his story, his actions, his lore, his magic?

oH BOY, here is the part where I warned you about. Take whatever I’m about to say with a massive amount of salt. I’ve had people asking this and then unfollowed me for my very infuriating take on him.

I genuinely, sincerely , without a shadow of a doubt, believe that the writers do not love him as a character. Let me give you all the evidence to why (spare my soul I TRIED to sit through all of the seasons to list out moment that he is on screen which included time stamps, episode number and the season I cited along with my thoughts on each of them… God knows if I miss anything because I just can’t stand the way they write him)

If you came back from the link and still disagree with me then, idk what else to tell you. This will fall on your deaf ears I suppose… But if you understand, with or without reading my notes, I hope it’s been clear to you how he is the prime example of a wasted main character FROM THE START. He’s under written at worst… semi-mediocre at best. You will surely get it when I say he’s only written….purely to save Rayla, to make her character looks good and or other characters around him look good. His role in the story, is arguably, even more important than “the dragon prince” himself because CALLUM IS THE SOLUTION, THE ANSWER TO THE MAIN CONFLICT OF THE SHOW: M A G I C(the conflict between primal and dark magic ; or human vs magical creatures. Depends on how you look at it.)

And yet… a massive disservice was done to him. It makes no sense from both the lore and the importance of the story stand point that they would treat his character like this. I love him, I love who he has and surely still has the potential to be. I think I made this very clear in the examples that I’ve given but I’ll spell it out again here (given that maybe I’ve probably completely spiraled into insanity while watching the show again purely for that purpose…)

ABOUT HIS WRITINGS, STORY, ACTION AND LORE:

As someone whose mother was lost because of his own father’s bad choice as a ruler(and I’d argue that he understood this very well that it wasn’t dark magic. IT’S HIS STEP DAD) he could and would have become someone who’s sensitive to the truth. That dark magic is JUST, A, TOOL. A very dangerous, powerful one but A TOOL, NONETHELESS. It’s something someone willingly choose. It is a contract. You lose a bit of yourself in exchange for your desire. It was Harrow’s choice to help the neighbor when his kingdom barely had enough to get by. It was again his choice, not Viren’s, not dark magic’s “temptation”, HIS CHOICE to kill the titan. It was HIS choice that led to Sarai’s death. Then it WAS AGAIN, his choice to kill the dragon king. From Callum’s perspective, he should have seen it this way a long time ago. But the thing that was wasted about this, was even when he knew all of this, he still made an effort to love Harrow, because his love for his mother is greater than his hatred for Harrow’s mistakes. UNTIL WHATEVER TRANSPIRED IN EPISODE 1-3 in season one. He would have stood up to his father with vigor when this man again decided to be selfish AGAIN, wanting to die instead of staying alive at all cost for his very young son, and then would still risked his life fighting and protect him rather than running away because that’s just the type of person CALLUM IS. Not whatever the hell that went down in the show… I will fight for this version of him till the day I die. Make his flaw recklessness instead of cowardice. Make him love everyone as best as he can, not just his romantic interest. That is what I see in Callum, and sadly not what I’ve gotten.

ABOUT HIS POWER The bit about him getting his magic was anti climatic and pisses me off to no end because of the execution (again this was in the link, see my notes on season 2) I won’t say more here but here’s the summary: The one Callum condemned should have been the image of his step father due to all the bad choices that he’s made, and then swiftly turn his back on the thing that saves him his pride (the fact that the show and Harrow refused to acknowledge that dark magic really did saved thousands of lives when he couldn’t); knowingly shackling his very young son Ezran to the throne which he DELIBERATELY SAID before hand: a child is freer than a king. Yea, real good of ya Harrow. Towards the dark mage version of himself, he should have been more gentle, understanding and kind. He wouldn’t make the same mistake as Harrow by completely becoming ungrateful to it. He would bargain for his soul, vowing that he will be a little kinder to himself and hope that it can give him a chance. He couldn’t go on living if he’s not himself anymore. This would have made the story infinitely more interesting because the show HAD THE CHANCE TO SHOW US THAT DARK MAGIC CAN BE FORGIVING(and in canon it…kinda is??? Because Callum was able to just noped out of getting corrupted so forgiving is in its nature…SO WHY IS IT BEING RIDICULE WHEN IT LITERALLY HELPED HIM SAVED HIS FRIEND’S LIFE BRUH) with the dark Callum slowly closes his eyes and fade away as Callum hugged him; dropping the key that was all dark magic runes into the abyss. THAT. is how you reject something like dark magic. THAT is how you are worthy of being the FIRST EVER HUMAN TO CHANEL THE PRIMAL - because YOU UNDERSTOOD THE TRUE NATURE OF DARK MAGIC: that it’s not EVIL. Not all the preachy prejudicial crap that transpired in that episode… It didn’t feel earned and it didn’t feel natural. To his character and to the story and I want to cry.

4. Do you think there's ever a chance of seeing any part of your au in canon? Specially with the new season.

I doubt it aha. With what they did to Callum and what I’ve seen so far with the new season derailing his character into “angst” instead of … letting him embrace his non-traditional masculinity and going all in on the “moe” aspect of his character…BUT THEY DIDN’T! SO it might just go down a typical angsty good vs evil generic writing… I’ve said this before but if they made my plot a reality I would literally eat dirt 🤣 and not just “oh Aaravos is using Callum so he took him as a student” no no no~ I mean e x a c t l y how it transpired in my writings. THEN I’ll eat dirt :)))

5. What are your thoughts on rayllum? Would their canon relationship have any affects in your au?

One of the other aspect I want people to take with another mountain of salt. I’ll answer in the shortest way possible though because it will take another essay for me to get through my thoughts. I’ll give you one word: Chemistry. I didn’t feel any chemistry between them from the moment they met till the moment they became a couple. (A friendly reminder that season 1-3 took place in only a month or a month and a half…maybe two months if you count the official comic. So their “romance” formed a little after …. two…weeks… yep I checked… and “fell apart” after like a month and a half…) Chemistry, is what you feel instantly. You can’t…make it happen, it just…happens. I think Aaravos said it best in the comic draft below: “If you had to force love, it’s probably shit.” 🙂 There is this innate compatibility within the characters themselves that makes their interaction explosive with emotions…and these two…has non... They are, in some ways sorta…good friends…? but take their first interaction for example! The first nice thing Callum expressed towards Rayla without fear was: YOU SWEPT THE LEG! She doesn’t understand this sentiment, her reaction wasn’t amused, it was this angry, somewhat confused look. Later on when he’s happy finding out that he’s a mage, she’s just annoyed, not finding this bubbly carefree somewhat loud personality charming. I get that this is when they first met and there is still barriers here and there… but like I said, it’s about the chemistry ; something that’s supposed to happen instantaneously. There are countless more times like this… when there is a chance for some sort of reaction to happen; but it just… did not? Then it did a 180 in ss3 for…the sake of shipping…huh..??? So to me at least, their chemistry has already failed.

You can clearly see that Aaravos ACKNOWLEDGED his student’s relationship, whilst Callum seems somewhat dismissive of it. I do it this way because:

like it or not…that is still what happened in the canon;

Maybe a good thing because if Callum had decided to run away with Aaravos, a labeled WAR CRIMINAL, changing his perspective on what he believed in either about life or relationship, shouldn’t be a far fetch development either. I wrote about it in detail via this post. I think that he would slowly learn that he is super happy without the involvement of a romantic partner, thus he’s able to be more understanding to Rayla’s leaving him. Or maybe it’s Aaravos who helped him understand why she left and even be the reason for why he’s so emotionally stable and matured.

IN SHORT: Callum doesn’t think about or even wants to think about his romantic life when he’s with Aaravos. His reply whenever his master mentions Rayla (which doesn’t really come up that often) would always be: “I’ll deal with it when it comes to it!” My man Aaravos on the other hand… he’s literally just vibing. Touching grass, doing magic, getting mentally healthier and being happy. He’s still the biggest bastard that Callum has ever known though, so that won’t change any time soon 🙂

6. Would callum and aaravos remain fugitives in the future of your au or will that change?

No spoilers~ They might be still “considered” fugitives is all I’m saying! I hope you will get to see the result for yourself!

7. Do you think there's a character that would for whatever reason join callum and aaravos?

At one point…I felt like Claudia would? Mainly because I wrote a whole arc for Callum v Claudia which the focus would be Aaravos past mistakes (or “mistakes”, represented by whatever Claudia became) vs his aspiration (his present, his hope, his student - Callum) But then even if Callum successfully repelled the corruption out of Claudia, they would probably just leave her with Ezran or Amaya because these two are incredibly selfish when it comes to their bond. They’re too used to being alone together and they would rather keep it that way. WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE considering how literally everyone just wants to hunt them down.

Mayyybe with the exception being Zym??? Since Ez can’t leave the throne to go with Callum, Zym decided to accompanied them to sorta like being his eyes cough and keep tabs on Aaravos. That it’d make an interesting plot line. Plus it’s the most powerful elven mage, the first and probably most powerful human mage, and the most powerful dragon in the world… What a scary trio. Also…Aaravos big feeling times with Zym and Callum just trying to hold it together in the background is subjectively, a very fun and good story. Forgiveness, innocence, prejudice, love, redemption. All in one package.

8. Is there anyone who would secretly be happy for callum and aavravos? Or even secretly support them maybe even help them and tell them about whats going on?

Ezran. 100% Ezran. It’s …it’s Ezran… He took one look at his brother and went: yep yea you are CLEARLY HAPPIER WITH HIM BRO, GO FOR IT. RUN! BE FREE!

Amaya and Janai (mostly Amaya) Also um I wrote a fun plot line that Amaya and Janai pursued them thinking that Aaravos kidnapped Callum, caught them just chilling in a tavern and Aaravos proceeded to defeat a very angry Janai with a big spoon (or what people commonly call a ladle…curtesy of Callum panicking and tossing it to him…The man just went with it and WON lol) Meanwhile Callum successfully bested Amaya without hurting her thus convincing her that his master is indeed, helping him grow as a person. Amaya also witness them just being happy and caring for each other after battling them so she sorta understood. Janai … is still pissed at Aaravos of course but considering who he slayed um . . . I’m giving this one to Aaravos… — I guess they became sort of an ally??? Janai just begrudgingly became neutral but tbh these two are really trying to be the best aunties to Callum. After a bit of fighting, they would probably be on their side. They might meet up sometimes to exchange information and what not. Aaravos refuses to meet Janai again because he doesn’t have the patience to deal with her anger like the bastard that he is. But he does agree that she has every right to feel that way about him. He’s just not down to deal with it all over again. He might do this tho:

S O R E N After getting his butt kicked twice by Aaravos (in the castle) and Callum (when he finally caught up with them) The next time they bump into each other, Soren would try and have a talk with Callum. I think the things he were angry the most about again was: it's exactly because his dad was a terrible person that Aaravos made him worse, while Callum’s aspiration is simply to be free with his master. At the end of the day, Aaravos is more of an enabler than anything good or bad. There is this whole jealousy within Soren that “why couldn’t you pointed my father to the right path” and “I know it’s not your fault but I’m still very upset that you’re such an enabler” towards Aaravos and also to Callum who in his eyes, he saw lucked out when it comes to receiving guidance from older figures. He would still apologize to them for feeling that way though when THIS glorious resolution kick in:

That wise man being Aaravos, of course :)) He is a good teacher when it matters. Needless to say after all of this this, Soren is 100% on his side. Even in non canon, my boy Soren still had a very good character arc. Some other allies might includes the people they helped on the way either in the earthblood elves domain or the tidebound elves place, possibly even Neolandia of all places. There was a side plot I wrote that Kasef was alive and that Callum helped him regain his humanity then sent him back to his kingdom to reunite with his dad. But I might scrap it if they declare that Kasef is really dead (rip Kasef you had potential my man. I understood you).

9. When, and why did you create this au?

I had this thought at the back of my mind while crawling my way through season 2 in 2018…2019?? (don’t get me wrong…but to me the show’s writing is so…horrendous…However… I got nothing better to watch so…might…as…well) and that thought being: What if…Aaravos…and Callum just…run away from this terrible plot… And then I proceeded smiling to myself thinking about all the fun things I could have done with their characters. That kinda saved my sanity and kept me powered through the entire show somehow. I didn’t executed it until last year(2021) though… I think I have the worst case of “I don’t like the canon and the fandom is a bit too much so I will forget about this until no further notice.”

10. Will we get more backstory and lore for your au in the future?

I think this post already contains the most of the lore(or spoilers for the lore) that I haven’t released out into the wild yet. But most definitely! I will continue making art about these two as long as the canon doesn’t do anything that will collapse the potential of them being amazing together. I’m a huge believer in not supporting content that doesn’t make me happy… so until then! More stories are sure to come ♥

11. Since callum is human he would eventually die right? What would aaravos do then?

Haha this is more of a spoiler for my plot so I’m leaving you with this : I’m sure at one point Callum realizes that he IS going to have to leave Aaravos one day, whether he likes it or not. This then resulting in him visiting any nearby library wherever it is that they are currently in when he has the time. Using “wanted to learn new things” as a cover up, what he’s really after is a way to either prolong his life (in a safe and legal way) so that he can be together with Aaravos for as long as he could; or to cut Aaravos life span down because to no one’s surprise, out-living everyone around him has indeed took a big toll on Aaravos mental health. Think of it sorta like his side quest~ He doesn’t want to ask his master about it because… Callum knows Aaravos wanted him to live a normal, happy natural human life, what are the chances that he will give him an answer. Aaravos is so used to loss and war and people around him dying, so he had already accepted this ever since he decided to become Callum’s master.

The real question is… do you really think Callum can give up on his master that easily? 😊 and cough* yknow do you think Aaravos truly wants to give up Callum like this lol

12. What are your thoughts on the theory that callum is a half elf? Or even aaravos son?

According to a friend of mine, the writers had already dismissed the theory that Callum is Aaravos’ son. However…they didn’t say anything about them NOT being related… and I pray to god that they’re not because

Callum being part elf GREATLY UNDERMINES his own character arc, and over all is a very bad writing decision(not that it was good in the first place aaaa) With all the things I said in the bit for how I feel about Callum, making him be “born” special is a disgrace to the one thing that stood out about him: being the first human to have ever connected to the primals (albeit executed sorta poorly…) I strongly feel that Callum should have the agency to, at least, represent the fact that he earns his power for who he is as a person and not for his heritage. I see some might say well yea doesn’t matter if he’s a half or quarter or has elven blood in him, it’s who he is as a person — well to that I say why not just make him a regular human being from the start to REALLY hammer down the point? “Well that’s world-breaking cause it’s the rule that human can’t do magic” I hear some of you saying— There is already a plausible explanation right there.

It was Aaravos’s key that guided him through the darkness, provided that Callum has proven himself to be capable of understanding things for what they really are (which I have spoken of before…and not in anyway shape or form like what the canon made him said in that scene lol). No need to add something to make it feel like it’s not breaking the law (like yeaaa ofc he can do it he has elven blood aha)…because…it…wasn’t…breaking the law in the first place… *Laughs in Aaravos is the law* 2. Aaravos should keep his penis to himself that’s all I’m saying hahaha no okay. In all seriousness… I don’t think Aaravos should be romantically or sexually involved. I think it’s great to not shackle a character to the idea that only romantic and or sexual love will make them more interesting, likeable, relatable or …human? Because the truth is…I love not being able to put Aaravos in a box, whether it’s his sexuality or moral standard. I think he deserves to keep that alluring part of his character for himself. It would be more precious if his perception of “love” as “being worship and remembered” has never been challenged until he met Callum. The change from worshipping love to just simple yet somewhat multi-layers platonic love is the best thing I would argue they should give him. No more clichés “villain” upset because of romantic love and romantic love is all there is. Make him unique! Make him special! I also think as someone who frowns upon forced control, I’d rather think he views his affection (if he ever developed one) as some sort of imprisonment to the people around him due to him almost always out living them. He’d rather not lay something that personal, even if its for the sake of manipulation, on the table. I think this weirdly humanize him since it might also be a type of selfishness that’s unique to him. “I’m selfish. My feelings are my own, that’s just how I like it.” something along that line.

I think it’s infinitely more precious that they’re not related because it really highlights that love isn’t necessarily fraternal nor romantic to be just as amazing and heart warming. Love can just. Exist.

13. What is your favorite tdp theory regarding these two?

I… like them being master and student and that’s it hahah!!! I have been told that some people had already thought of this as well…but by then I hadn’t really seen it being noticed by the majority of the fandom. I worry about sounding arrogant or condescending sometimes but … it’s because I haven’t seen it being written in a way that gave me joy that I’m resulted to making my own food… HAHAH I’M SORRY I HOPE THAT MAKE SENSE? AGAIN I’M VERY WORRIED ABOUT SOUNDING LIKE AN ASSHOLE lol my favorite is what I wrote ashiadkljfdskl

14. If you could have rewritten s3 or even the whole show what would you have changed?

I haven’t thought of it this way at all because I think the problems has already taken roots from the first season…(evidentially enough I’ve pointed it out in a massive word vomit relating to my boy Callum’s writing alone) I like to leave the canon material alone, as I know a lot of people really really enjoyed it. I unfortunately… did not…AND THAT’S OKAY!

At the end of the day, it’s still just a kid show… But I’d like to think that if we keep accepting mediocrity, we will never truly get anything good. I think this show has the potential to be something so much more, most of my anger (and maybe hatred) comes from the fact that I do genuinely love the world building and I do love Callum and Aaravos… I hope I’ve somehow managed to convey that to you <3

To end this on a somewhat light-hearted note, I would like to leave you and anyone who has made it this far, a canon fact: Did you know that on the key of Aaravos, the sky primal and the star primal are on the opposite side of each other? I see this as they’re always keeping each other in balance and that makes me happy~

I don't really talk about my new spiritual journey much simply because I don't want my mom to find it or her side of the family. I also don't want to make anyone uncomfortable when I'm in the mood to info dump about my deities so I figured I'd rant a little here, more like, discuss the signs I got from each deity that led me to contact them and what working with them has been like.

Disclaimer, everything that I discuss about these deities are from my own UPG and all deity relationships are different, if we happen to have similar experience I'd love to hear about them! Side note, the only way that I've ever been able to communicate with my deities is through pendulum which is of course, yes and no questions, and tarot cards, usually I start a conversation and I can get pretty detailed responses, I also read what I think they are trying to say through cards and confirm if it's what they are trying to say!

Athena (Patroness)-

Generally I enjoyed things associated with her until I got that GUT feeling that something was up

I had an obsession for her in midle school, more like I read The Mark of Athena more times than I could count and found her so interesting

ART mostly trying anything under the sun from sketching, painting, sculpting, sewing, crocheting, watercolor, digital, etc... I want to go into an art based work feild

Loved learning about wars and such

Really enjoy finding ways to make my brain think, specially finding series that really make you question reality and morals, following with strategies and trying to guess the next move characters will make

I really enjoy reading, mostly fanfics but it counts

As for signs it was more adrupt

Was curious about deity work and figured I should find a deity to reach out to that represents my interests, who do I find? ATHENA!

I did some tarot card pulls and kept getting cards associated with her

Contacted her through pendulum after doing a lot of research making sure I was safe and talking to her and not a trickster

It was her and she has been with me from the start

She came to me saying that I wasn't necessarily prepared to do deity work but wanted to make sure I was safe and I've definitely felt protected since

Working with Athena has been incredible, she helped me find the motivation to finish high school in a time of depression, helped me form a path for what I should do after school and gave me so much motherly advice. She really has felt like a second mother and I love her energy so much. I had a dream about her recently and she did come to me as a mother figure and taught me how to sword fight so maybe that's something to look into for me! She also has a great sense of humor, for my UPG at least and our relationship feels more comfortable than strict, giving me breathing room considering I'm still new to this.

Apollo (Patron)-

Again, it was just a gut feeling, I kept feeling drawn to him

I love music art, sunshine and although psychology isn't plague or medicine related I kinda lump the two together and I really like psychology

Had an obsession with plague doctors which I associate with Apollo

I grew attached to bumblebees randomly

I named my cat Apollo

Looovvveee taking sunset pictures and watching the sky

I randomly wanted to work more on my intuition which is what we are doing together

I wanted to be outside much more

I started to want to write more often which I never do

Got more obsessed with a character that reminded me of him

After I started working with him, I started waking up super early which I never do, always at sunrise. I was pushed more to go outside and do shadow work, he's really helping me with that and motivation to do art. He feels a lot like a big brother energy and just fun to be around, he has been forcing me to go outside lately but I'm not complaining. He's sent me many MANY bumblebees since I've contacted him and I love it! Shadow work is rough tho but I know it will help me in the future.

Bastet (working with/unspecified relationship)-

I also kept feeling drawn to her but ignored it for a long time as I thought it was more mundane than spiritual

Had a dream of which I can only remember hearing her name, again pushed it off as it was just a dream

Suddenly cats had a much more emotional impact on me, like... I can't explain just how happy they make me, it wasn't usual

Just a few days ago, randomly, my dad's girlfriend told him to tell me that she did a card reading and said that I should look into Bastet

THAT is what pushed me over the edge to do research and contact her

The next day, still hadn't reached out, went to a friend's house, she has three cats, two of them are skittish while the other one just likes to lounge

I thought, heck it, and asked bastet to send me a sign if she was trying to contact me

Two of the cats ran to me at the same time, one from upstairs and the other from further away, the one upstairs was the sleepy boy who was comfortable on a bed, the other was one of the skittish ones

That finally set my proof

Once I contacted her she said she wanted to work with me on financial growth, self confidence, and shadow work like Apollo, all of which I really need help with

After, I was in the car with my dad, I was talking about Bast to him and whaddya know, there was a cat that was sitting on the side of the road, something I never see

As far as what I have had conversation wise with Bastet, she seems like a good friend and I'm very excited to see what she has in store for our relationship, I already have a newly growing alter for her and wold love to get a candle and finish the statue I'm making for her. She's been patient with me as were the other two in terms of an alter and doesn't really care what I have on there as long as it relates to her but it's the thought that counts!

I've had such a wonderful experience with my deities from the beginning! For a while I thought that I'd just be working with Athena, only to find that she's my patron who will guide me for my life alongside Apollo. I'm still unsure how long Bast is going to stay but I really like her so far so I hope she isn't going anywhere soon. I can't wait to grow my practice through these guys and I can't wait for what's in store!

- Appearance wise all 3 Dwights are the same height at 5′10″! - Fancy is technically the oldest in real world standards - Elf is the oldest altogether, very few people know this. (ie. your character wouldn’t know this unless they are extremely close to Elf) - The only locker Dwight is Pizza, though he has been learning that the locker isn’t always the best place to hide - If you want to interact with the Dwights, you are most likely going to talk to Fancy unless you specify - The Dwights do not like killers, they will be standoffish if not rude. That’s not to say that they couldn’t be friends with one but don’t expect them to be trusting to begin with. (Actions speak louder than words) - The Dwight’s campfire is connected to another survivor campfire belonging to @lab-camp-kill​ - Note that there is a protective barrier around their campfire and some surrounding trees that does not allow killers at their fire

Pizza Jumpy, nervous, and a bit cowardly he’s very easily spooked and very rarely strays from a group. Besides that he can flip flop on his emotions but he tries to be friendly and supportive, he’s always down for companionship... even if he has a bad habit of just being awkward. He’s actually quite clever and quick witted but he second guesses himself a lot.

Fancy Friendly, and compassionate, he tends to come off as rather calm by Dwight standards. But once you get to know him you’ll know he’s just as much a nervous emotional wreck as any of them. He’ll be there for you any which way you need, just don’t mind him when he has to leave the campfire for a while. He won’t swear from pain, like at all, even near death. 

Elf Snappy, calculated and tired most of the time. He’s a great asset to have on a team. He knows many things and is willing to help others but can have a thin patience at times. Though he can be snippy he still enjoys the company of others and will apologize if he realizes he’s done something wrong. He can be an asshole, but it’s rarely ever directed at anyone other than himself or the killers.

The DwEntity (Dwi) The Dweet’s Entity They/it/he 6′ tall, they are capable of changing it if they really wanted to (but they don’t) Has the face of a Dwight and is generally interested in anything to do with the man Prefers to look less intimidating and more just eerie, they like to make themself appear weak so they are underestimated, much like Dwight himself. They find it amusing. Is actually a very old and powerful Entity Their voice is crackly, like radio static  The Dweets are not the only Dwights that they have under their watch, but the Dweets are some favourites They’re reclusive and antisocial, not very good with social interactions and don’t try to be not necessarily rude… on purpose, but extremely uncaring They can be spoken to but they are unlikely to respond unless it directly effects them. Or it has to do with Dwight. Generally cruel by human perspective

Had a rather brutal work week and am making good on my promise to stop drawing so much in order to finish a fic, so no new sketch dumps posts. Instead I’m doing what I said I would a while back (and then promptly forgot bc undiagnosed AD[H]D brain is a helluva thing) and posting the JPG version of the GIF if anyone wants to see an HQ version.

Also posting a close up of the Darksaber animation because I’m so fucking proud of that sizzling Darksaber edge that makes me think about circuits in Tron/Tron Legacy and also why the fuck not.

Lastly, good god y’all, I’m nearly at 600 followers and the vast majority of you showed up when I started putting out some Star Wars doodles. It is incredible, humbling, and quite frankly terrifying to see so much of my art get put on blast for positive reasons (I was once put on blast in a fandom wank LJ comm bc someone got sick and tired of me spamming a fandom comm with my art lololol those sure were the fucking days). You guys have given me so much encouragement and confidence in how I draw (mainly, sketch a fuckton of nonsense messily with pencil and don’t bother trying to turn everything into a polished colored piece), and I am forever grateful. 

(also learned a former Pixar artist would use a bajillion lines to build up their forms [go check out concept art for Ratatouille and Brave] so, y’know, everyone has a process, the process can get you actual factual work, and I am not hopeless)

Meddling in a galaxy far, far away from the likes of Rian Johnson come on bro meet me in fucking pIT LET’S GO and seeing all of your tags/replies (this never happened to me before so I didn’t know you could reply to those replies? I’M SO SORRY I DID SEE ALL YOUR COMMENTS)/mentions/gif use (holy fuck is that how Tumblr gifs work???) and seeing your comments at AO3 and faffing around on the dinluke server has been pushing the bounds of what I can do and offer as an artist and writer, and that is incredibly precious to me. Suppose it’s a good thing I showed up here as a tired working Millennial and not years earlier when I was still stumbling around like a fucking fool and getting involved in Fandom messes I shouldn’t and hating my art style for never being Good Enough.

I came up with yet another au (cue people booing). Gist is that fall morty is morty’s evil alter ego yaddayadda he takes ho-oh from silver and ho-oh becomes shadow ho-oh yaddayadda morty does evil things.

moving on to eusine’s role in this au...I honestly couldn’t decide what it should be. I don’t think eusine would ever chose anyone or anything over morty (this is not up for debate) but eusine won’t help morty destroy anything or reset the goddamn world either. I just pull a “porque no los dos” and just make eusine an unwilling accomplice.

so uh fun fact about me. I listen to music while I draw and when I hear a lyric/verse I really like I just write it on the canvas, doesn’t matter if it’s related to the art or not. I actually forgot to erase the lyrics in this case since I mostly sketch on one layer lmfao. song in reference was Siouxsie and the Banshees’s “Night Shift” and I actually wrote the misheard lyrics but that’s unimportant lol.

Camp WonderDream: Salty Love Part 3

Saltbaker turned around to see Leo cowering behind a bag of nuts. "Oh. Hello Leo. I was just...trying out some new recipes for the camp." He said. Leo looked around at the piles of chocolate. "And...they're all chocolate?" He asked. The salt shaker slowly nodded his head "Um...Right." Leo said. "Since you're here however, I need you to try a few of these." Saltbaker said, holding a tray with multiple BonBons, chocolates and candies, in the center of it stood a large, multilayered, heart shaped chocolate cake.

Leo's jaw dropped 'Is this guy TRYING to fatten me up?!' He thought to himself. He reached to one of the chocolate and took a small bite of it. His eyes lit up at the taste, as it tasted like chocolate cake, cherries whipped cream and ice cream rolled into one. Leo felt like he was in heaven, this thing was amazing!! "MMMMMMMM!!! IT'S SO GOOD!!" He yelled, holding it up. But to his surprise, Saltbaker dumped the chocolates in a basket that read "failures" and slid it outside.

"I knew it...OK, Back to square one..." He muttered, flipping through a recipe book. "What did you do that for? Those were delicious!" Leo asked. Saltbaker shook his head "No, they were all wrong, and I need to focus so you need to go." He said, pushing him towards the door. Leo tried to stop himself, but Saltbaker was a lot stronger than him, even if he was made of glass. However, in his haste, Saltbaker didn't see his letter from BonBon fall from his uniform...and at Leo's shoes.

"Huh? What's this?" Leo asked, picking up the letter. Saltbaker's eyes gained yellow rings. "GIVE ME THAT!!" He yelled, lunging at the boy. Leo shrieks and drops the note, and hides behind a bag of flour. Saltbaker quickly stuffs the note back into his uniform before he takes deep breaths to calm down. He walks over to the terrified child and squats to his level "Forgive me Leo...I didn't mean to snap at you." He said. Leo slowly came out from behind the bag "Sheesh...what ever was on that paper must have made you mad..." he said, slightly backing away from the salt shaker.

Chef looks down, and shows Leo the letter. The boy's eyes skim over the note, and reads the Name "Who's Baroness Von Bon Bon?" He asked, and to his Suprise, Saltbaker is blushing "She's my...friend. back on the Inkwell Isles where I live." He explained "She said she might want to visit the camp sometime." Leo raised an eyebrow "Why don't you tell Balan? I'm sure he'd let her come." Leo said as he walked to the door, only for Saltbaker to grab the back of his shirt and took him away from the window "NO! Not that! Anything but that!" He panicked "If Balan or any of the Counselors found out, I'd never hear the end of it from Hakim! He might even slip even more love potions into the food I make..." He said. Saltbaker turned back to Leo

"Please don't tell anyone about this! Please? I'm begging you! I'll do anything!" He pleaded getting to his knees. Leo almost laughed at the sight. One of the staff of the magical camp WonderDream was begging to him on his knees. He was about to say nothing, until he had an idea "Alright, I'll keep your secret...but under one condition." He said, whispering to the salt shaker.

Later, In the Real World...

Mason heard a knock at his door. The boy walked up to the door, wondering who it could be. He opened it up to see no one there...just a big box with a LOT of chocolate in it. A note sat on the box and Mason read it.

To Mason

Hey Mas! Saltbaker had a bunch of chocolate, and all of the campers and Staff were full. So I sent it to you! I know Balan won't mind as it is chocolate! I hope you enjoy it!

Mason gazed at the chocolate with hungry eyes. He always did have a sweet tooth...now how was he going to explain this to his parents?

Meanwhile, Back at Camp...

Saltbaker concentrated his full focus on a recipe for BonBon. He had created an entire sketch on how it would look and what flavors would be in it. He had spent at leat a good 14 hours on it "Ok...almost done." He sighed. The door to his cabin then suddenly flung open "MAIL CALL!!" Sundrop's voice yelled. Saltbaker screamed and launched a bunch of knives at the robot. Sundrop dodged them all, but that doesn't mean that he wasn't scared out of his wits. "YOU DON'T SNEAK UP ON ME SUN. WE ESTABLISHED THAT!" Saltbaker yelled. "Sorry Chef! But I just wanted you to know that you have another letter!" Sundrop explained "Andalsothekidsarestartingtogethungryagain,thecounselors are too" He said really fast before he ran back outside.

Saltbaker slapped himself, he was so focused on BonBon's special recipe, and that Leo would keep his promise, that he forgot that he was supposed to be cooking. Hiding the letter in his bed, he ran to the mess hall...if only he wasn't so tired...

Team Headcanons: Albedo, Bennet, Chongyun and Xingqiu

Let’s say Albedo is not the best baby(teenage)sitter. He is great with Klee of course, but that’s a whole different story.

Being a not too good in establishing bonds of a person he mostly sticks to the idea of if they are not killing anyone, each other or themselves, they’ll be fine. So there was not much of supervision going on.

Also the fact he wasn’t that much older than the rest of them played it’s part. “I am not the leader by nature, y/n. But if it truly matters to you, I, of course, will keep an eye on them.”

Obviously the boys were more then happy with the outcome. Each of them felt old and capable enough to fend for himself. And that was partially true, since all three had some prior experience in exciting independently and solving their own problems.

Although all of them together could become quite a catastrophe. Naturally Xingqiu became the unspoken leader of the youth, coming up with all kinds of quests for their team and, of course, some mischief.

Him and Chongyun knew each other long enough to be considered best friends, so Bennet came around as kind of a third wheel. He didn’t mind, the guy was happy to have any kind of friends, even if they couldn’t consider him their number one.

He was even a bit pushy and intrusive at first giving the lack of proper communication skills. Bennet was always an outsider at home, avoided by most people because of his ‘condition’. He wasn’t sure if he had to mention it, but decided it might have been dishonest or even dangerous not to.

Visibly nervous he just spat it all out - about the misfortune thing, adopted family, people being scared of him. “Even Albedo doesn’t know what’s up, and he is the smartest guy I know!”

The boys were visibly lost for a second, trying to process the whole story that had been dumped on them, before Xingqiu laughed breaking the awkwardness. “So you are like Chongyun here, huh?”

That was when Bennet learned about the whole deal with “congenital positivity”. He never even knew there could be something similar to his problem, so he took the news with all seriousness. He took all the possible precautions not to accidentally trigger Chongyun’s positivity with his Pyro Vision or sudden bursts of unfortunate events.

Bennet was more of a mom-friend than anyone, bringing spare water bottles for Chongyun and making sure he stayed out of burning midday sun, cooking meals for the whole team and carrying everything needed for the first aid. He was trying his best to overcompensate all the random mishaps following him.

His misfortune really was acting up on certain days. Xingqiu had to put his flames out by slapping him with an emergency water splash every so often. Not only to prevent Chongyun unintentionally overheating, but also not to let Bennet burn himself and everything around him to ashes.

Although Albedo and Xingqiu were previously pen pals (or more like pen acquaintances), working on a book together not so long ago, he rarely joined their shenanigans outside of completing daily commissions from the Traveler.

Albedo spent his “free time” going somewhere to carry out some experiments or simply draw in peace, not too far from their camp in case something really serious happened. He usually came back with some impressive landscape paintings or sketches of old ruins. They all came up with an idea to start doing little drawing sessions together.

It helped to calm down a bit and have a little rest from whatever was going on. It also unexpectedly eased Bennet’s misfortunate occurrences for a short while, even though he wasn’t so proud of the pictures that he managed to finish at that time.
