Selenite, or Nite to friends, is a fortune teller (using bones) and perpetually tired young woman! She specializes in death omens but is happy to peer into the future for most questions! There is always a wait list to see her and she makes an effort to lessen people's fear of death. She chose to remove her regulator following the loss of someone important -- not that she can recall them, only in the vaguest of ways. On the very fringes of a few groups like Oblivion, supportive of their mission(s) but unwilling to commit fully. Her eyes were not compatible with living in S9 and so she had them altered -- this part is pretty self indulgent because... cool eyes are cool! Incredibly chill, pro-bit, maker of questionable choices. Almost always has a coffee or energy drink (the ones that make you gay) nearby. Quick to make friends, quick to make space for people.

Redemption Road -misc/600+k. an incredibly long fic from a collaborative writing group back in the day. canon divergent from the end of s6 on, has a cool take on godstiel and the leviathans, as well as the lovecratian mythos connection. ngl when i reread it i only made it about 28% in but imo the casual reader can actually stop around there, the rest concerns a lovecraftian apocalypse that is still good (i think i don’t remember it very well) but not required to enjoy the first half. if you prefer i have an ebook version i can send you on gdrive.

Someone Who's Feeling For Me* - mature/45k, s12. they run into lisa braeden and dean thinks cas is into her while cas thinks dean still likes her. treats lisa way better than the show ever did and the miscommunication is pretty funny rather than annoying.

a turn of the earth - mature/95k. time travel fic where cas from s10 keeps showing up in deans life from a few years before s1 to right before the hellhounds take his soul.  slow burn, good character study, and at one point cas punches the dad in the face and it rules.

On the Wings of War - teen/85k, canon divergent s5. dean accidentally becomes the Horseman of War. plays fun, fast and loose with biblical lore, michael has some rights.

Named - mature/95k, alternate s5. EXTREMELY blasphemous in a fun sexy way. manages to predict metatron almost to a T. there’s one major character death and its literally jesus christ, everyone is very sad about it and it sets the rest of the story rolling. an alternate interpretation of cas’ mission to raise dean from hell which had me on the floor. ngl its kind of misogynistic at points, but its from 2010 and tracks with late oughts-2010 spn (sorry anna the author did you dirty here:/).

The Girlfriend Experience - explicit/15k. uhhh i don’t normally rec or even read smutty stuff unless someone i know is specifically asking for it but this has stuff like sam trying to be a good ally and dean thinking holding hands with cas is ‘kinda gay :/’ minutes after having gay sex with him.

i crippled your heart a hundred times - explicit/19k, s8. cas confesses his feelings and dean spends a long time getting his head out of his ass about it. truly hits different after the actual confession, despite being written six years early it feels like its actually what could have gone down more or less if the writers weren’t talentless demons who hate us.

My Roots Take Flight** - mature/125k. reverse au where cas is a hunter and dean’s an angel...OR IS IT???? an alternate retelling of s4. tw for briefly being set in a psychiatric hospital/the hospital being mentioned somewhat frequently throughout the fic, plus more references to torture in hell and heaven than usual.

Autrement, Danger - or, The Account of an Exceedingly Long Day - mature/30k, post s11. a monster that takes the appearance of your soulmate leads to some wild miscommunications and dealing with years of repression, also dean gets to see cas’ true form which is always cool. tw for non-graphic mentions of underage sexual assault/sex work.

Down to Agincourt - mature/explicit/900++++k, endverse continuation. endverse!cas survives his encounter with lucifer and discovers another time-displaced dean from s7. i’ve only read the two of four parts but its really good, veeeeery slow burn, has a lot of fun oc’s and takes a rather surprising but (imo) entertaining and intriguing turn into Hellenic history and mythology. usual tw’s for endverse/endverse!cas but nothing graphic, it’s actually pretty light-hearted (relatively speaking of course).

Nothing Equals the Splendor** - explicit/8k, THEE finale fix it fic you’ve been waiting for! posits that the entire final episode was just a (very bad and lame) djinn’s vision.

like moses and batman and james dean - explicit/31k, post s8. explores dean’s trauma and internalized homophoba from his technically canon experience with sex work and its impact on his relationship with cas. the sex work itself isn’t really shown in any detail but it’s still a relatively heavy fic.

;; Tbh with so many people gone right now and me not being sure how many are coming back for the new season, it kind of feels like I’m practically starting all over again. :’( There’s only a few people left that I had threads with.

In light of the fact that the new season is nearly here, I’m going to be reblogging memes (possibly more than once) to try to start new stuff up. If anyone knows any canon characters that are active or really developed OCs, please direct me to these people! Also, feel free to send in memes even if I reblog the same meme. I’m really gonna be looking for interaction this coming season - especially with Ricks (not just because he’s supposed to be dying this season, but I’m willing to work with threads where he does and does not).

I’m going to work with Carl’s development for the first half of the season as the season comes out, and I’ll be making a page for Carl’s development post 8x08. I’ll try to make it as detailed as possible as the episodes come out, and I’ll probably make a cumulative post at the end of the first half and then again at the end of the second half, with any necessary posts in between.

Carl will be eighteen in S9′s timeline, since my default age for him is sixteen around S7/S8. Since it’s a year and a half timeskip, I’m going by around sixteen and a half and jumping to eighteen, so if there’s that five year timeskip for the second half, he’ll be around twenty three then. Also note, I WILL be doing threads from in between the timeskip. No, that doesn’t mean smut or aged up for smut. Don’t expect smut on this blog. Ever. :) ...No. Really. Ever. I don’t care if he’s thirty. Ace with grace, punks.

But god fucking damn Carl is going to take some serious consideration to write for from now on lol. His age range is literally 12-23 in this case ffs. Typically I don’t write younger Carl because it’s a bit more difficult for me, but that doesn’t mean I won’t do such threads on request or if they’re planned. I’m still good to write anywhere from S1-S9, it’s just gonna be a little tricky lol. But that’s why I love writing him, honestly. There’s so much room to work with him and all the changes.

Also, just a thing I know I’m doing for him for S9: He will be team Daryl regarding the Savior thing, but he’s not going to be murderous or anything.

He’s absolutely going to feel that the two sides shouldn’t be trying to get along if they don’t want to, but he’s not going to start fights unless he feels threatened. His idea of the whole thing is that they should move on and let it all go and stop fighting, but not try to force all the communities to be friends after what happened. He’s not asking for everyone to be buddy buddy - just for people to stop fighting each other and helping the walkers wipe out what’s left of humanity. Not everyone has to be friends with everyone, but he’ll still have common decency for other human beings if they haven’t done any wrong. He’ll basically treat people like people without regard for who was where if they were innocent.

He’s absolutely still going to hold people accountable for what they’ve done, and he doesn’t believe the Saviors should be mingling with other people after the fighting. He also still harbors bad feelings about many of them. He will, of course, treat people with consideration who were innocent or are trying to get better, but what he wants is basically for the people who don’t get along to stop minding each other and move on (i.e. don’t like them, don’t talk to them). That doesn’t mean he won’t get violent at times with Saviors who threaten people he cares about. If a Savior is attacking Daryl, he’s absolutely going to side with Daryl, for example.

Basically, he has mixed feelings: he’s exhausted of fighting other people (remember, this has been a thing for them way longer than dealing with the Saviors, and he’s been dealing with it since he was twelve) and he’ll do his best to stop any fighting, but he definitely does not want the Saviors around. He believes they should just go on their way. If they do start anything though, he’s not against dealing with them physically. He’ll start with reason, then move to force.

TL;DR: if ur a shit, he’s gonna treat u like a shit. if ur not a shit, he’s gonna treat u like ur not a shit.

Today I’ll be giving y’all some info on my Ninjago OC Zaphillia or Zap for short

That’s her on the left and her twin Echo on the right.

First name: Zaphillia

Last name: Merlin

Nickname: Zap (commonly used by close friends and family) Zap-attack (used only by Echo, sometimes Kai)

Age: 20 currently (so season 8/9)

Hair color: brown

Eye color: purple/violet

Element: Technically magic/dark magic aren't elements but they're her powers.

Weapons: sword and shield. The particular sword she uses amplifies her powers but she has a whole collection of shields (some made by the future in-laws :D (Big Grin))

Backstory: (I'll let you know now, her backstory is still being tweaked)

Zaphillia and her twin brother Echolyn (Echo) grew up on a remote part of Ninjago with their parents for the first 12 years of their life. When they were 12 their parents went on some sort of expedition and her uncle Leon started raising the two, only thinking they'd be gone a year. Unexpectedly, 1 year turned into 4 and Leon was stuck with the task of helping the twins with their powers and half dragon abilities. Echo mastered sound quickly and left at 14 to pursue a music career, but Zap had a hard time with magic. Leon actually knew a bit of magic, but not being a natural magic user, he could only help her so much and she relied heavily on her sword to use magic.

She also teamed up with a few other elementals over the years, Shadow, Petal, Iron and Echo came back a year after he left due to getting in some trouble. When she was 16 she met the ninja (end of season 2), as much as she didn't want to, she needed their help. Turns out the reason her parents had been gone so long was they were kidnapped by an old foe of theirs (yeah I know its pretty much the same as s7 but I came up with this before it came out). They helped her and her teammates defeat this guy and along the way she seemed to gain a crush on a certain red ninja, even though she denied it at every chance. They teamed up again during episode 2 of Rebooted and remained until the end of the season during that time Zap started dating Kai even though they didn't go on any actual dates until after the finale. She actually got better at controlling her dark powers when they started dating, maybe since fire can be a source of light. She wasn't involved in s4 or 6 very much, but s5 was an important one for her, since she knows quite a bit about the undead. She was involved in s7 and 8 and will be involved in s9.

Side: Ninja (even though she didn't want to team up with them at first)

Crush: Kai (is it a crush if they're dating????)

Personality: VERY stubborn, it took a while before she would work well with others besides her brother. She's the mom friend, always making sure her teammates are taking care of themselves. She used to be a bit reckless (the very reason she has that scar) but now she's learned to think things through and gets upset if she sees anyone else be reckless (*cough* Kai *cough*). A very good person to talk to, she can be comforting when someone is upset (Zap and Iron talk a lot, since he has anxiety) there's lots of hugs involved. Very protective of her family and extended family.

Likes: Myrrdin (her pet/guardian), reading, training, collecting shields, using magic for good, dragons, Kai, history, family, flying, chocolate, tea, friends (her closest is probably Iron or Shadow), nature, magical creatures, exploring dangerous places, cuddling, unique people, sewing

Dislikes: People who talk too much (she can tolerate Echo and Jay tho), neat freaks (again, Echo), driving (she can't drive), her friends being reckless, misusing magic, people disrespecting history, disrespecting nature, people who judge those who are different, cooking, losing control of her powers, being put in charge, people getting into her stuff, math

Favorite ninja: Kai, she also likes Lloyd and Nya

Worst ninja (in their eyes): she doesn't really dislike him a ton, but Jay is like another Echo to her ("I only need one loud person in my life") she used to dislike Kai, they would butt heads all the time.

Special skills: reads and retains info very fast, good at packing a lot of stuff into a bag (kinda random I know)

Supernatural powers: Half dragon, she can turn into a dragon.
