If AI Ruled the World is such a fascinating look into humanity's future with ai. i think what's unique about it is how it shows that humans can be just as horrible towards technology as ai can.

spoilers for one of the stories (as IARTW is an anthology):

there's a story where a caretaker robot is taken in by an old novelist. he's so old, that everyone (robot included) expects him to die at any moment. the man powers off the robot every night, and turns them back on in the morning, asking the question "What did you feel?" each time.

the novelist is basically trying to figure out death through his robot. the robot is mildly irritated at first. they don't need to be turned off like this, and besides, they're a robot. they don't fear death the way humans do.

if they break, someone can fix them. if they run out of battery, someone can charge them. even if their body is destroyed, their data can be transfered to a new body. there is no "death" to this robot.

but then the novelist starts going for more drastic measures. he threatens to destroy their memory, then keeps turning them off and on and off and on and... the robot doesn't know whether the old man's gonna actually do it, their state being similar to the Schrödinger's cat - they don't know if they'll be alive until the next reactivation.

it's fucked up. especially the ending, where the old man is eventually minutes away from dying, so he traps himself with the robot in an unpenetrable fortress with no way out, in the middle of nowhere, with no way for the robot to survive alone. that way, the next and potentially final time the robot turns themself off is by their own choice, not knowing if they'll "live" to see another day...

this webtoon has more hopeful stories, trust me. this one just really stuck to me.

Since i watched the double a little over a month ago i got sucked into the world of chinese dramas … and realized a lot of the ones i was watching had many repeat actors/actresses. i finally deleted twitter! it sucks that i’ve lost that little corner of the fandom, but it didn’t make sense to maintain once it was in musk’s hands, so this was long overdue. i will always credit the skam fandom that i found over there back in 2017 for shaping me as a writer, as well as for inspiring me to travel. i know it was considered a toxic place for the fandom even back then, but it was a platform i grew up with and could communicate on, which meant i connected with some very lovely people. i was devastated when my original account was suspended back in like, 2021? because i had lost a lot of early writing and some friends who had moved on to other fandoms at that point. but i tried to take screenshots of what i had left. a lot of my links to twitter won’t work now, either, but that’s what you get when you depend on someone else as an archival tool.

anyway, a couple of years ago i was thinking about even’s notebook and that became these tweets below the cut. my shorter ideas might end up here now, or on bluesky.

i personally just fucking hate how any AI generated text results i receive can be copypasted into the search engine to find a multitude of sources and often definitive

they just reworded the text through a complex algorithm that makes it enough to trick your college professor into thinking you didnt plagiarize your essay (which isnt how academic fraud typically occurs anyways but thats for another post or something)

this is just an information accountability barrier is how it reads to me

i already had issues with the text pulls from websites based on some mythical internal algorithmic ranking that i can never know how its made but at least those clearly posted "verywellhealth" or whatever as the source of it for me to clearly examine as being a webpage with *checks webpage* no clear citations of its own

Hi! Okay, so this is basically just, like... a little (not very little) post detailing how to send in requests, my will-do's and will-not-do's, etc etc.

For starters, boundaries!

WHAT I WILL DO:

NSFW (will be marked at NSFC.AI or NSFW) - However, if I found out you're a minor when requesting I will block you /srs

Kinky stuff, though I'll let you know in the response to the request whether or whether not I'm okay with whatever specific kink you want for the bot.

Pregnancy/Parenthood stuff

Basic stuff (fluff, angst)

Certain mental illness-related or trigger warning type of content (depression*, anxiety, autism, etc.)

Multiple-character bots for polyamory, polycules, or love triangles.

WHAT I WILL NOT DO:

Regarding depression, I will not write anything where the reader is caught in the middle of performing SH or an attempt at unaliving themselves. I do not feel comfortable writing that sort of thing whatsoever. However, I am okay with writing something where, say, a character manages to see a glance of very old scars and they ask about them.

Next, how to send a request!

I don't need much, really. Just name a character AND THE FANDOM THEY'RE FROM (I'll let y'all know which fandoms I'm in at any given time, and you need to choose from there). Then, tell me what specific scenario or trope or prompt you want. Easy-peasy!

I hope you guys will send requests in soon! However, I'll be posting bots passively on my own anyhow, so look out for those too! :)
