for want of a bento box
Tumblr media
– It’s plain and simple, you see, someone is stealing your bento boxes and you will find your lunch thief! Or, in which Todoroki Shouto keeps taking your bento box and you declare war.
⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆
pairing: todoroki shouto x reader
warnings: fluff, cursing, shouto is a bad chef, I believe I made reader pretty gender neutral but I whipped this out in two hours and I can no longer remember if I used any fem!pronouns but im pretty sure I didn’t
word count: 3,060
a/n: this is for the wonder coworker bnharem collab! I had intended on writing a completely different theme and storyline but was very overwhelmed by how much time it actually needed to be written compared to the amount of time I actually had. that version will be out another time! but for now, enjoy some pure flufffffff!!!!

Having a normal, functioning, well-paying job was probably the most desirable thing to you. It wasn’t to say that you were slacking or that you were homeless, broke, and never to be seen again because you were that in debt. But it was nice having a job!
When you entered the prestigious Toshinori Company, you joined not as an entry-level job employee but as a senior representative. You thought it was crazy.
It had to be crazy.
You had no prior experience, and now you were going to be in charge and the lead in certain areas?!
“And that was the entire layout of the office!” Mina chirped happily, throwing herself onto the desk chair across from yours with a big smile. “Any questions?”
“I don’t think so,” you mutter, brows creased as you look around the room again.
The office space was ample, sleek, open. Each desk has its own grand computer that you currently could not afford with your own money, comfortable chairs, and beautiful wood desks. It was elegant, far superiorly fancy, and yet, you didn’t feel out of place. Strange.
“Oh!” you say with a roll of your eyes as you reach below your desk to bring up your packed lunch. “Where was the break room again? I need to refrigerate my food!”
“Omg, of course, come this way!” Mina grins, standing up and motioning you to follow her. You smile gratefully and do.
The entire way to the office, Mina takes the time to point at the many different people on the floor and give them names. Everyone so far had sort of acknowledged you earlier as Mina was giving you the official tour. Some were much more open and friendly, and some had sneers or blank stares that left you dumbstruck.
Definitely a personable group.
“Hm, well, I guess Todoroki-kun isn’t here today?” Mina mutters as you enter the break room that has couches and comfortable-looking chairs. “Such a shame! You would have loved to see the office hottie!”
You snort at that, lips curled into a granulous smile as you place your plastic container with food into the fridge. “I’m sure I’ll live,” you brush off the fact that there was an absent person on your floor today.
“That’s the thing, though,” Mina points a finger at you, a lone eyebrow raised and a confident smirk on her face. “You won’t be thinking that again the moment you see him!”
You laugh, eyes crinkling as Mina joins your laughter. Eventually, she motions for the both of you to leave, and you nod in understanding. And with a weird sense of comfort and belonging, you realized that this job was going to be good.
.
.
Eventually, you had been working at Toshinori Company for two months.
Sixty-two days to be precise, and in all that time, you had only met Todoroki Shouto once. Even then, you had only seen the man walking through the office with a blank face, fingers in his pockets as two other men were walking in front of him, bickering lightly.
Had Mina not quite literally thrown herself across the table and gripped the collar of your shirt and twisted your head to look at him, you would have never caught a glimpse at the man with red and white hair. The three of them walked into the break room and came back out with their own lunches before leaving.
And that was it.
You had learned that the three of them (Todoroki Shouto, Midoriya Izuku, and Bakugou Katsuki) were within your department but worked very closely with the very high up members within the company. Many rumors pointed at one of the three taking over the company when the current CEO stepped down. They were, however, on the roster for your floor; they just never appeared except to pick up their lunches. Something they seemed to come to grab whenever you were a) way too fucking busy or b) not in the room.
You weren’t too bothered, though.
It wasn’t like you were trying to date one of them! You had only wanted to say hi.
.
.
.
Now, at ninety days, you had your first and probably most crucial evaluation.
Toshinori Yagi, the man who founded and currently ran this company, sat before you, looking at papers within a folder with tired but kind blue eyes. He nodded, impressed (hopefully), making small comments about the work you had been able to accomplish, a smile becoming a warming grin as he looked up.
“I’m impressed by the performance you’ve managed to attend to despite the short while you’ve been here, y/l/n-shojo,” Toshinori spoke, his fingers threading together and placing them onto the table. “I knew it was an excellent decision to put you in that position, and you exceeded my entire expectation!”
You flushed at that, lips twitching as you attempted to suppress that smile of yours.
“Thank you, Toshinori-san,” you practically wheeze as he waves off your thanks.
“No need to thank me, you’ve done all this work!” he laughs, tired eyes closing with a glorious supply of crow's feet blooming at the corner of his eyes. “Typically, at these evaluations, I ask a bunch of questions because there isn’t too much anyone can do in their first ninety days, I must admit.”
“Oh?”
“Mhm, but because I am curious, is there anything that has been happening as of late that you feel needs to be addressed with me?”
You felt yourself stiffen but knew your one and only complaint was not something to bring up in this setting.
“No, nothing,” you shrug, and Toshinori beams.
“I’m glad!”
Now, the problem.
The big, fat, stinky, hooligan, wanting to throttle someone problem.
For the past sixty of your ninety days, someone has been stealing your lunch.
Yes, you heard that correctly; someone was stealing your damn lunch! Every morning you woke up and prepared a delicious bento box for yourself. Some days you went as far as cutting shapes into your fruits and veggies just to make yourself grin. You weren’t the best chef in the world, but your bento boxes were pretty enough to make up for it, in your opinion. But the thing is, every day when you went into the communal fridge, you noticed two things.
One, your bento box was no longer in the same place, and two, the bento box was not yours at all.
The food was disastrously organized. Rice and lettuce spilling out in every partition in the box. The fruit and veggies often packed in this box had multiple cuts in them, implying that whoever did this was less than ideal with a knife. The meat was often oversalted, the sushi never sitting together, and everything was just… not it.
The first time you had sighed and eaten it, grumbling about how your precious lunch was stolen. But you had quickly figured out that it was inedible, and Mina, Uraraka, and Yaoyorozu thank god, offered to share their meals.
Seeing that you were distressed about how someone stole your egg and octopus sausages one day, Mina declared that they would watch the break room for whoever was stealing your light blue bento box. The first day you staked out, you had done it with Mina. But ten minutes into waiting around, you needed to pee. So you stood up and left in a hurry, leaving Mina alone.
But when you returned, Mina was gone, instead standing by Kirishima’s desk with a bright grin and a stance that screamed that she heard something she liked (gossip, possible in-office romance, a love confession?). Her jaw dropped as she noticed you and Kirishima had turned and waved in your direction as you raced into the break room to open the fridge, and sure enough, your bento was gone.
The next time, you staked out with Uraraka. Your arms were folded, your bladder cleared, and your lips twisted into a pout as you glared and stared down every single member who entered the room. Uraraka whispered to you her guesses about just who might be the thief, every other person rating an 8/10 likelihood of stealing your lunch.
But as the both of you sat there, your eyes narrowed at each passerby, no one came to collect your bento today.
“Deku-kun, no packed lunch today?” Uraraka asked as the green, curly-haired man you had only met once previously raced into the break room, grabbing the extra chopsticks meticulously hidden in the third bottom draw.
“Ah, Uraraka-san, y/l/n-san! Uh, no,” Midoriya greeted you both, who apparently responds to the nickname Deku, laughs off as he grabs a handful of napkins. “Todoroki-kun left all our lunches in his car by accident, and well… they spoiled… Kacchan’s pissed, so I ran off to get lunch for us today!”
Uraraka laughed, shaking her head, “Leave it to Todoroki-kun to act that way.”
Midoriya laughed, bright and clearly in agreement, “You should have seen his face when Kacchan asked for his lunch! I swear–”
“HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GRAB FUCKING CHOPSTICKS, SHIT-KU! I’M FUCKING STARVING!” a voice roared from nowhere near the entrance of the break room. You did, however, jump a bit, eyes turning toward the break room entrance to see the blond man (Bakugou? Kacchan? You had no idea which was correct) near the entrance of the floor.
“It’s only been a minute, Kacchan, relax!” Midoriya laughs, completely unaffected by the startling shout as he waves goodbye to both you and Uraraka before leaving, joining Bakugou as the both of them seem to talk comfortably… well, maybe more like bickering.
“Why are they–”
“Childhood friends, apparently,” Uraraka sighed, but the smile on her face betrays her exasperation.
No one stole your bento that day.
Yaoyorozu took up the third stake out, the two of you idly chatting about tea. You honestly had no idea what to talk about with Yaomomo; she was often just so elegant and mature despite being your age. When you learned that her family was in charge of the Yaoyorozu Corp, it had been strangely easy to accept that.
It made sense.
So as the two of you stood at the kitchen sink, boiling water for tea Yaomomo swore would be the best matchup for your packed nigiri, the both of you missed the man who walked into the room, opened the fridge, and took your lunch.
“I… I am so sorry,” Yaomomo apologized, head bowed dangerously low as the both of you looked at the sloppily cut salmon in your not actual bento. “Please eat my food in reparation.”
“No, it’s okay,” you sigh, chewing on the somehow still warm salmon. “I deserved this loss.”
Luck was just on this man's side, it seemed. No matter what you did, you could never catch the man in action, and you were ready to give up.
But this was the last attempt you said to yourself as you returned to your office floor, the evaluation done, and the rest of your life coming to light. You could do this. No! You WOULD do this!
.
.
“Why don’t you just put your name on your bento box?” Bakugou asked, a lone eyebrow raised in what you could only assume was judgment and pity. The explosive man was standing in the doorway of the breakroom, watching as you and Mina were trying to climb up the counters of the breakroom to grab the camera you had previously planted. “Obviously, it doesn’t have your name on it.”
“Um,” you squeak, having been obviously caught by someone who intimidated you just the slightest bit. “That’s a good idea, thank you, Bakugou-san.”
“Tch, whatever, just clean up the damn counters, fucking nasty standing up on there. Some people prepare their food there.”
“We would never forget to do that!” you argue, desperate to not leave a bad impression on this man.
“I don’t know much about you, but I know raccoon eyes over there would.”
“MY NAME IS MINA!”
“Like I care.”
He left without so much as a wave but did seem to nod with his departure. You sighed as you hopped off the counter, Mina grabbing the cleaning supplies as she cursed out the long-gone man under her breath.
But you were looking at the fridge with your missing bento box.
“I can’t believe I never put my name on it.”
“It’s okay! Not even Yaomomo thought of it, so I say we are still smart!”
.
.
.
It was the next day, you were at your desk, anxious as hell as you did your work, trying not to focus on the fact that it was lunchtime and you were actively avoiding the break room. You wondered if they wouldn’t come and collect it today. If somehow they were an asshole and wouldn’t care if your name was on it! What would happen then? What if it was someone like Bakugou who was taking your lunch? What then? You were sure you would cave in slight fear and major intimidation if he said that your lunch was his now.
“Want a cutie while we wait, cutie?” Mina asked, waving the small tangerine in her fingers as she grins.
“Please,” you say in gratitude for the food because you were starving. “Thank you.”
Eventually, you lost track of what was happening, becoming all too invested in the conversation that Mina was telling you about that involved Kaminari, Kirishima, Bakugou, Midoriya, twenty-seven Red Bulls, fifteen Monsters, and five shots of sake. It seemed that the former two were quite big instigators when they wanted to be, and the latter two were unable to back away from challenges, especially when the other was involved.
“Y/l/n?” an unfamiliar voice called from behind you, and you turned partially in your chair as you looked behind you.
Standing behind you was a tall man with red and white hair, and from this distance, you noticed immediately that his eyes were a deep grey and brilliant blue.
Todoroki Shouto.
“T-Todoroki-san!” you greet him back, voice unable to keep from trembling as your nerves shot up. What was going on? You two had never interacted before! He was always gone, never present, and whenever he was in the office, it seemed that you weren’t there.
He cleared his throat and raised up two identical bento boxes.
“It seems… I have apparently been stealing your bento boxes,” he concludes, pressing the blue bento box with your name written on it into your hands.
Your jaw drops as your fingers curve around the cool plastic, eyes blinking up a storm as you try to abstain from laughing high pitched and ugly like.
“It was you?!”
A pink color blooms onto his cheeks as he averts his eye contact with you and nods slowly, “I am so sorry.”
“I just… how?!” you exclaim, exasperated, this man obviously being a bit dense if he had no idea he was taking your bento box!
“I prepare my bento boxes the night before, and I don’t really remember what I put into them….” Todoroki explains slowly, his hand rubbing the back of his neck, his tongue clicking the roof of his tongue. “I just thought that my cooking was improving and that I was somehow doing an amazing job.”
The grin that overcomes your face is one of subtle, strange fondness and soft warmth. “I can tell you that you probably haven’t improved much,” you tease, opening your bento box to see your prepared meal for the day.
Cucumber salad, bulgogi beef, rice, and some fruit.
It was packed exactly how you remembered.
“I can’t believe I finally get to eat a meal I prepared,” you continue to tease, your eyes moving up to meet Todoroki, who was also looking at your bento previously. “Thank you for returning my meals and apologizing.”
“It was nothing,” Todoroki waved off with a single hand before opening up his own disastrously assembled bento box. It looked worse than usual today. Everything was just thrown in, it seemed. You saw egg and rice, but everything else in there was indescribable. He smiles at you before sighing at his bento. “This looks more like my stuff.”
You laugh, shaking your head, “You want to share my bento box? I’m sure you probably don’t want to return to that.”
“No, it’s okay,” Todoroki gently declined, although he looked at your bento with great want. He cleared his throat, gaze moving to lock on yours, and you swore his cheeks were still pink but no longer from embarrassment. “I just wanted to come and apologize for stealing your lunch for so long and to thank you for the meals; they were all delicious. Especially the soba you had made.”
“It’s all good; it’s in the past now,” you say gently, somehow finding yourself falling for a man you’ve barely just begun to talk with. The both of you stare at each other, and your skin feels warm. You chuckle, gaze averting for a moment before returning as you tease him. “Although, if you steal from me again, I’m not so sure if I’ll be so lenient.”
“It won’t happen again, promise,” Todoroki smiles, and you feel your spine melt. “But I would love to make it up to you somehow. I can make you dinner one night or something?”
You laugh, head shaking, “No, absolutely not; I don’t trust your cooking skills just yet. But you can definitely take me out to dinner.”
“Yeah, I can definitely do that,” Todoroki agrees, and the both of you fall silent as the shy stares continue. “Does, um… is Friday at seven okay with you?”
“That works,” you say, and Todoroki smiles.
“Good, I’ll uh, see you then?”
“See you,” you agree with a sweet smile before turning around, your fingers raised in a small wave.
You turn to see Mina, Uraraka, and Yaomomo staring at you, eyes comically wide and so very intrigued.
“Oh… my… GOD!” Mina shrieked as Todoroki walks away, and you shriek as she jumps across the table and shakes you, screaming about office romances and meet-cutes being entirely too underrated. “PROMISE ME I’LL BE INVITED TO THE WEDDING!!!!”
“MINA!”
.
.
.
.
.
It would take about three years of dating, several months of teaching Shouto how to cook, which resulted in a few bellyaches. Still, eventually yes, Mina would be invited to your wedding.

Stockholm Syndrome (Helmut Zemo x Reader)
[Marvel-Masterlist]
Summary: During the fight with the Dora Milaje in his safe-house, Zemo made an exit. But not alone. For inexplicable reasons, he dragged you along. Probably because he wanted to mess with Sam & Bucky. Would the Baron kill you? Or worse?
Words: 4,083
Warnings: language, angst, fluff (?), kidnapping, spoilers for TFATWS, (Let’s put the angsty shit in this part & the fun stuff in the second one.), (Y/E/C) = your eye color, REQUESTS ARE OPEN!
If you like my work & wanna support me: a coffee would be highly appreciated ❤
The fight in front of you held your entire attention. Eyes focused on moving bodies, kicking, punching their way through. While you were not inexperienced when it came to battling, you preferred holding back. Bruises were not necessarily your favorite. Not these kind of bruises at least. All your ears could make out was the grunting radiating from the combat. Hence why the movements behind you stayed inconspicuous. Only when a cloth pressed against your nose & you had no choice but to breathe in, did you notice the jeopardy of the situation. Darkness enveloped you. The last thing you perceived was a dark silhouette picking you up. As much as you wanted to fight back, to defend yourself, it was impossible. All strength had dissipated. Whatever was happening, you hoped you would wake up again. This could not be how you died. You would not die.
Pain woke you up. But you were not hurt. At least that was what you remembered. Then it came to you. Someone had kidnapped you. If your eyes did not open soon, you would regret it later. Heavy eyelids slowly opened. Though it took many attempts to keep them that way. You scanned the room. There were no windows, no light which would have made that task easier. It took a few minutes to adjust to the obscureness. And once you did, you found yourself as perplexed as before. No restraints were obstructing your motions. Technically, you could up & leave. But it was never that simple, was it? The door was opposite of you. Your muscles were still sore. The act of standing up & waltzing over seemed like too much effort for you. The bleakness of the wall your back rested against was a more welcomed sensation. Your knees scooted closer to your chest. Arms raking around them, you hugged yourself. Hoping it would bring you a bit of comfort. Your brain failed to work properly. Because you were stumped. Who could have possibly seized you? Walker was busy getting his ass kicked. Lemar imitated his partner, pretty much. Sam ordered Bucky to help out & went into the battle right after. And Zemo was… Yeah, where the hell was Zemo during all of that? If you recalled correctly, he held a drink in his hand. Like you, he kept away from the fight. And then? You were aware that the Baron was not a saint. Neither were you. But you did not believe he would pull something like that. Then again, it was Zemo. Nobody knew his next step. Nobody but himself. Your foot tapped a rhythm on the cold, grey pavement. Usually, when your anxiety acted up, you distracted yourself. Fiddling with your hands or bouncing your legs. Something you could focus on that was not life threatening to your mind. The unknown beat managed to calm you down the slightest. Whoever held you hostage would be back soon. Your gut feeling told you so much.
Maybe you dosed off again. Because your body flinched when a creak reached your ears. Quickly, you looked around for possible threats. The only thing that had changed was the door sitting ajar. Only a diminutive gap. It was noticeable due to the light illuminating the room. There was no piece of furniture which meant that nobody lived here. It resembled a cell. But even cells had a bed, a chair. Something. The room turned dim again but only for a second. A shadow, you figured. Your captivator was here. So close, in fact, goosebumps erupted. A chill ran down your spine. This single interaction could modify your imprisonment. You still needed time to consider a successful escape plan. Which meant that you needed to observe the person keeping you here. Movies displayed such situations more than once. It was manageable. If they decided to show themselves & reveal their identity. Your eyes fell to the boots first. Black or a dark brown that was not detectable due to the lack of brightness. Next were the pants. Black again. The end of a coat came into view. Dark grey, almost anthracite. Your thoughts instantly went to one person. You could be mistaken. He was not the only one with a coat like that. Your gaze flickered up to his hands. The leather gloves were proof enough. Your (Y/E/C) eyes locked onto his brown ones. There was no shock written over your features. After all, deep down, you awaited this sight to be met with. As much as you wanted to withhold it, your eyes rolled & the sigh that left your lips was one of pure exhaustion. Zemo never made a secret out of it. His dislike for you started off the moment he first laid his eyes on you. From then on, it only seemed to increase steadily. You were a simple person. If someone treated you like shit, you returned that favor with pleasure & ten times worse.
“You are awake.” he stated the obvious after his frame entered through the doorway.
“Pretty sure I’m still dreaming.” you replied sarcastically, your elbows propping onto your knees. A smirk formed at the corners of his mouth. Whatever you said, it was the wrong thing.
“You dream about being locked inside a small cell? And I make an appearance as well? This does sound problematic, (Y/N). Nothing I would not be able to help you with.” he enjoyed this. Disgust made itself shown onto your face.
“Yeah? How could you possibly help me with that?” it took you a second to fully realize what you said. Immediately, you corrected yourself. “You know what? I don’t even wanna know.” your head rested in your hands, slightly embarrassed by turning this conversation awkward. Maybe it would have been more convenient if you just kept quiet. Zemo chuckled shortly but did not comment on it again.
“I assume you wonder why you are here.” the Baron observed your small frame on the floor. It was easy to recognize how uncomfortable you were.
“Your assumption might be correct.” your head tilted upwards, trying to hide the fear. Burying it deep down. You needed to think clearly so you could escape him.
“Would you like me to declare your purpose?” he questioned, eyebrows raising.
“Enlighten me, Baron.” you wasted no time with your reply. Maybe you imagined it but you could have sworn that his muscles tensed up when you called him by his title. You were the weaker one here so you kept your jokes at bay.
“I have no desire to get involved with the Wakandans. A getaway is more enjoyable with a suitable associate.” his hands gestured & you fathomed the seriousness behind his words.
“Oh, so that’s what I am now? An associate? Could’ve sworn I was your enemy. Improvement, I guess.” you focused on a lighter spot that interrupted the evenly dark color of the cement wall.
“I never declared you my enemy. That is solely your imagination.” Zemo stared at you but you would not give him the satisfaction of holding eye contact with him. He did not deserve it.
“I prefer my imagination then.” you stated & earned another chuckle from the Baron.
“Our departure is soon.” he let you know & left you alone once again. Great, so he did have a plan for you. But it did not seem like he wanted to murder you brutally. Basically, you could do nothing. The lock of the door clicked. No way out of this room. And your cellphone was no longer with you. He probably removed it from you while you were unconscious.
The drug Zemo had you breathe in really affected you. Tiredness rushed through you still. Falling asleep once again was inevitable. A steady, loud noise stirred you from your slumber. When your eyes opened, the chair you were seated in felt familiar. Your surroundings were not new to you. It was Zemo’s private jet. No sight of him. No sight of Sam & Bucky. The only company was the engine of the small plane, creating a ringing in your ears. Surprisingly, you were well rested. Your sleep schedule was messed up. On a good day, you slept for three hours. On a normal day, though, you were lucky if the dreamland even invited you in. Did that mean that you should thank Zemo? For drugging you? Your gratitude could stay inside, for now. It was kind of embarrassing to admit that you had enough rest because of him stunning you. All it would do was feeding his ego. He had enough of that already. Would it be clever to hop out of a plane that was thousands of feet in the air? A clever suicide mission, maybe. Zemo would not harm you. If he truly wanted to, you would be a ghost already. Where was he anyway? Certainly, he would not leave your side after kidnapping you. A look down your lap confirmed what you had feared. The trembling of your hands was noticeable. Almost worse than usual. If push came to shove, you could defend yourself perfectly fine. The Baron did not strike you as a fighter type of guy. Sure, he could handle a gun. In reality, the one thing he could really handle was his alcohol. If you had been in a cell for almost ten years, you would not be able to cope with this world either. Now that you were thinking about it...when was Zemo not drinking? Ever since you guys had teamed up, he had taken every chance to get some liquor into his system.
“How are you feeling?” a voice startled you. The cause of it was your dear captivator. His strut brought him over to you, taking a seat right opposite of you. Plopping down onto the soft cushion with a sigh, he intertwined his fingers in front of his chest. His chin rested on the back of them. The intensity with which he eyed you was unsettling. Your body curled together, shifting away from his rigid glance. The man in front of you frowned. Never before had you behaved that way. Usually, you were sarcastic, humorous. Your current state was uncommon. The fight or flight instinct kicked in. If you played by his rules, the cards were on your side. So the only natural thing was to answer him.
“Okay.” it was short but the tone held much meaning.
“Okay is not good.” he mumbled quietly, though you could still make out his words. The clouds outside of the window you were sitting next to looked like cotton. Smooth, soft. Perfect if you wanted to jump in. The sunset colored the sky in various, bright hues. A phenomenon. That was something that had always fascinated you. “Astonishing, is it not?” the silence broke when he spoke up yet again. You nodded, still gazing outside.
“We will arrive soon.” another voice joined you. The startle from your side could not be stopped. You hated how jumpy you were. Especially during such a situation. The strong, independent woman you usually were was gone. Right now, you were like a little girl, awaiting punishment for misbehavior. Apparently, the Baron was a mind reader because he soothed your worries immediately.
“You did nothing wrong, if that is one of your concerns.” he started. His eyes then flickered to the other man on the private jet. “Thank you, Oeznik.” small smiles were exchanged between the two of them. The assistant disappeared through a door again. Zemo being the only company left.
“Where are we going?” you had to know.
“Somewhere safe. Where nobody can locate me.” as his eyes met yours, he finished. “Us.” your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. His explanation was not helpful at all. You were still left in the dark. Your destination was unknown but he assured you that you would be safe. Zemo would never lie about something so significant. This bugging feeling was still present. If he did not tell you more about the location, maybe he could elucidate this.
“Why me? Why, out of everyone, did you kidnap me?” slight anger was behind your eyes but one could only notice if they looked precisely. The Baron’s head tilted. In amusement, you guessed. His forming smile held a hint of another emotion you could not quite identify.
“Kidnapping is such a harsh word, don’t you think?” was it mockery you could hear? “I believe there is no need for us to repeat our previous conversation. I told you why you’re here.” he stood up from his seat, dragging his body to the very end of the plane. There, he picked up two small glasses. The liquid of the half empty bottle of scotch poured a good amount in both of them. Evidently, one for him & one for you. His hand stretched out towards you & he offered you the drink. You eyed it suspiciously. While you were not one for drinking alcohol, maybe it would assist to calm your nerves. In the end, you reached for it, touching his hand in the process. The skin contact sent an unintended chill down your spine. Goosebumps were forming. The pit of your stomach felt odd. Never before had you experienced such a sensation. Though, & you had to admit that, it was everything but unpleasant. Your body language spoke louder than you would have liked. And it did not go unnoticed by the man in front of you. To avoid an awkward tension, he decided against commenting on your body’s reaction.
The first sip made you wince. A burning sensation washed down your throat. The Baron handled his alcohol way better than you did, that much was obvious. Unfortunately, the liquor did not numb your anxiety right away. The effect was awaited but luck was not on your side. Would it be rude to ask for another drink? The downside was not realizing how strong it was. If you got wasted then Zemo could take advantage of your state. Depended on how he defined taking advantage of you. The conversation that had died down for a while was resurrected. This time, it was you. This shocked not only you but also him.
“I don’t like you.” you stated monotonously.
“I am aware.” he chuckled, taking a sip of his drink.
“You don’t like me either.” one of your eyebrows raised.
“An incorrect assumption.” his hands gestured to emphasize his words. You rolled your eyes, throwing your arms up in frustration.
“A freaking obvious fact.” you breathed out, falling back into your chair. The softness caressed you tenderly. A hum left you & your previous desperation was replaced by some sort of relaxation. Why did your emotions change so quickly? One moment, you were scared. The next, you were furious. Then, you untightened. All in the presence of the man who had kidnapped you.
“What is going through your mind right now?” seemed like he was eager to talk to you. Comfortable silence with Baron Zemo was not possible. It was either awkward or not quiet at all. Your head snapped into his direction. He was deep in thought. Occupied with whatever his mind came up with.
“I-I don’t know.” you were being honest. Spending more time with him meant no lies. At least not about such things. The next question came naturally. “What about you?” one corner of his lips lifted slightly. The first step in the right direction. Deep down, Zemo was aware that you did not exactly hate him. Liking him would be too far but at least, you tolerated him. Accepted his presence.
“I am quite fond of bringing you with me. Sam & James are irritating. Helpful but irritating. You are a delight to be around.” he confessed & you had the urge to call him out on his ridiculous behavior.
“Sounds fake but alright…” your annoyance was audible.
“I beg your pardon?” he abandoned his glass, placing it on the small table nearby. Elbows propped onto his knees & his upper body leaned forward, closer to you. But not close enough to make you feel uncomfortable.
“Ever since we met, we’ve been arguing non-stop. This is the first normal conversation between us.” your fingers pointed to him & then to you, signaling what you were talking about.
“Arguments are not an indicator for antipathy.” Zemo explained.
“Oh, they’re not?” the sarcasm was more than obvious. “What then?”
“They are concealing true emotions, burying your urges deep within.” casually spoken, as if he had prepared this exact speech multiple times before.
“My urges?” you questioned, making fun of his statement.
“Indeed.” he wore a winning smile & you hated the effect it had on you.
“Sure.” you chuckled, shaking your head in disbelief. “My only urge is to punch yo-“ both of your heads turned into the direction of Oeznik who unknowingly interrupted your conversation.
“We’re here.” he claimed, nodding briefly, & left you alone again. By the way his face changed, he looked like he was sorry for bothering the two of you. Truthfully, you were glad that he joined you because without him, you would have said something regrettable.
Paris. He dragged you to France. If your situation were any different, you would have felt excited to be here. Before you exited the private jet, Zemo threatened you. If you had the glorious idea to speak up before you arrived at your destination, you would regret it later. Basically, you thought he would kill you. Of course you had no clue that the Baron would never hurt you in any way. After all, you were a victim of his kidnapping. Whether he called it that or not. The small alleyways were decorated with narrow buildings sitting next to each other. The cobblestone street underlined the atmosphere perfectly. Eyes wide, you were overwhelmed by the impression of the beauty of the sweet town. When one of his hands reached for yours, you did not even flinch back. Because, if you were honest, it felt good. Your intertwined fingers brought you warmth. A feeling that spread out through your entire body. Sparks, almost like the beginning of a firework, started forming. The sun shone brightly. Your eyes closed contently. Hence why you did not notice Zemo watching your every move. He reminisced your features closely. The sunlight brought out the beauty of you in a way that was worth remembering. Your body sensed something. It was in your nature when someone stared at you. Carefully, your eyes opened, showing the (Y/E/C) colors that glowed almost mysteriously in the light. Warm brown ones locked onto yours. The two of you exchanged an honest, almost shy smile.
“What?” your head tilted to the side, observing his face. Looking for a sign. Any sign. But Zemo was a clandestine guy. It was almost impossible to look through him. Something inside you took that as a challenge. Maybe you could make his walls come crashing down. Maybe you were the one to change him. Wait. Why were your thoughts running down that road? He was the person to take you away from your friends. The sympathy that started building up was wrong. That much you knew. Resisting felt like a tough task. What did he say during the flight? Something about pushing down your urges. This was the first time you understood the meaning.
If you thought the town was pretty then the apartment you entered was stunning. It was on the top floor. Spacious, furnished in a minimalist way. Overly white, accentuated with colorful artwork. Special pieces to complete the look of it. It screamed expensive. The process of taking everything in took a few minutes. It was overstraining. In the best way possible. You should screw down your excitement. After all, you were part of an incredibly dangerous situation. But you let his touch linger on your skin. Just for a fraction longer. If you really wanted to, you could have retreated. Something told you that Zemo would not have forced you to hold onto him. That thought alone calmed you down a little further. Technically, he was not a stranger. Throughout the missions you had performed together, with Sam & Bucky, you two had become acquainted with. You were associates, apparently. And associates were not supposed to fear one another. Then again, associates would not kidnap each other. Your body was overthrown with mixed signals. Unknown what was wrong & what was right. Your friends would probably describe you as insane, reckless. Maybe you were. Maybe the last few weeks had formed you into a different type of person. That type who sympathized with a criminal. With a criminal who broke out of a high security jail. Since when had criminals become your type? And why were you starting to think in a very friendly, almost amorous way? Looked like you really were insane.
Who would have thought the Baron to be an excellent chef? Definitely not you. But here he was, preparing a meal for you. This was actually pretty sweet of him. His body behind the stove & his eyes focused on the task. It was a sight for sore eyes. Only, of course, if he were not Zemo you were referring to. While he cooked, you set the table. He assured you that you did not have to but it felt like the right thing to do. It was the least you could do. What were you even saying? He kidnapped you, for God’s sake. Your body, your emotions, should be damned.
“Is this something you do often?” Zemo’s question caught you off guard. For a moment, you halted in your tracks. Cutlery was being put down. A deep breath left your mouth.
“What?” your bewildered expression made him chuckle. Funny to watch your perplexity.
“Living in your head more than in the present.” his proclamation cut through the tension.
“I…um, haven’t realized that, actually.” you answered awkwardly. Your hand raised to the back of your head, resting behind your ear.
“You do. When spending time with Sam & James. And now. It is quite entertaining.” he eyed you closely. It made you slightly uncomfortable.
“Why?” your curiosity got the best of you. That was nothing new. Even before he brought you here, your nosiness was on of your more obvious characteristics.
“Because the light in your eyes shifts. You are more at ease. Not to forget your smile…” Zemo trailed off at the end of his sentence, voice a little softer than usual.
“What about my smile?” you really were curious. Would it be in your favor or not? There was only one way to figure that out.
“It differs from when you are actively engaged in a conversation. The corners of your mouth lift in a softer way. No hesitation or restriction.” he finished, his sparkling brown eyes meeting yours. Due to the embarrassment, you could not keep eye contact. So you averted your gaze, facing the almost empty plate in front of you.
“You talk like you’ve known me forever.” your whispers were almost missed. The tone so quiet, even your racing heart was louder.
“I am simply skilled at reading people. You facilitate that process, actually.” every single word he spoke made so much sense that it almost did not make sense anymore. There was no other way to describe it.
“I do? How?” your constant short questions were amusing to him. On one hand, you wanted to distance yourself from him as much as possible. On the other hand, you inquired every single time he finished talking.
“I assume it is because you do not fear opening up to me & letting me in.” people who did not know your history would have believed you two had been friends for years. By the way he discerned the small, almost unnoticeable details about you. Details you did not even know existed in the first place.
“You assume an awful lot, Baron.” you teased, eyes moving to his face gingerly.
“Tell me I’m wrong.” but you could not. Because it would have been a lie. A smirk made its way onto his face when you did not give him a reply. Unintentionally, you mimicked his expression. He had you. Right here, he had you. And he was not the only one aware of the shift in the situation. You were just as deep in it as he was. It was a game with fire. Who would get burned in the end?

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 6
Chapter 8
Yeah I know, that last chapter was....brutal.
And I have some bad news my babies....I work non-stop the next three days, so maybe no new chapter until Monday.
But I gave you this one with a little floof, to make up for that horrible angsty chapter. But also, it's kind of short.
Worse news....it ends on a cliffhanger.
I LOVE YOU ALL DON'T LEAVE ME PLEASE.

----------------------
Back At Your House
You woke up in your bed, covered in towels and one of Kylie’s pull ups taped under your underwear, along with a million other different cloths/toilet paper.
“What the fuck…?” You tried to move but realized the towels you were surrounded with were mostly covered in blood. You quickly began to panic as the more you woke up the more the pain was coming back. You tried to think of the last thing you remembered before blacking out. Billy had been pumping in and out of your ass, you were in torturous pain, and then he called-- Oh god.
You began scrambling around the bed with your arms under the sheets and comforter, looking for your phone. You could hear the shower running and Billy humming from the bathroom. He was getting off on this, the sick fuck. You couldn’t believe you had been so blind to his psychosis before this. Love is blind sure, but what the fuck?!
Finally you found your phone on the charger, but it was on your vanity across the room. You dragged yourself across the bed and leaned over the bed as far as you could, reaching for the vanity desperately.
You fell helplessly off the foot of the bed, whimpering and crying from the pain in your rectum. You were pretty sure you were still bleeding, but Billy had shoved so much toilet paper and towels up there you probably couldn’t even shit right now. Maybe for a long time.
You weakly pulled on the cord so it made the phone fall off the vanity and land in your hands. You saw you had 30 missed calls, all from Rafael. Oh thank god, he still cared about you. Worried about you.
You hit REDIAL and waited for him to answer. You looked up to the sky and started praying for him to answer before Billy got out of the shower. Finally after what felt like hours, you heard his voice. It was frantic and terrifying, he sounded like he had been crying for a long while.
“What now, Lewis? I swear to God if you FUCKING--”
“R-Rafa?” Your small, weak voice in response made him almost drop the phone in relief.
“Y/N?” He almost choked.
“Mi amor? Are you okay? Where are you? Where’s Lewis?” He rattled off the millions of questions that had ran through his mind since Billy had hung up on him. Hearing him call you amor made your whole world brighten, you wanted to weep in happiness.
“I’m--” You looked down at yourself. You were literally wearing a diaper.
“I’m outside,” He responded before you could say anything else.
“What?” You breathed deeply, pulling yourself up and limping towards your bedroom window. You could see Rafael’s car a few houses down, with the lights off.
“What are you doing?!” You hissed into the phone, glancing fearfully at the bathroom door. “You can’t be here!”
“You can’t stay here baby, you need medical help,” He said into the phone, staring at your silhouette through your window now.
“I-I can’t leave the girls,” You twirled your hair nervously.
“Baby if you’re dead you can’t help them at all!” Rafael reasoned.
Well, he did have a point. You checked the phone for the time: 11:30 pm. You had been out for hours. The girls were probably asleep, you didn’t know how much longer Billy would be in the shower.
“Look he won’t hurt them, right? You said that?” Rafael asked, knocking you back to reality.
“Raff after tonight I don’t know what he’s capable of,” You tried not to start crying again. You knew how upset he already was, if he heard you cry you knew it would send him off the edge again.
“God dammit!” You could hear him pull the phone away and violently hit the passenger's seat several times as the image of your bloody body being rammed by Lewis reverberated in his brain images.
“Rafael, calm down. Please,” You pleaded with him. “I-I don’t even know if I can make it outside,”
“Fuck,” You heard him mutter. “Then I’m coming in,”
“Rafael, don’t. Please--” But it was too late, he had already hung up. You closed your eyes and waited for the boom. You listened intently as the shower continued to run, then you heard your door open, footsteps come running down the hall.
Finally you saw him, Rafael. He scooped you up before you could say anything, grabbed some of your clean clothes out of your drawers and before you knew it you were sitting in the passenger's seat of his car, and he was speeding away from your house.
“Carino…” You felt his hand on the back of your head, rubbing your hair lovingly. “God I’m so so sorry,”
“It’s not your fault,” You shook your head weakly, closing your eyes and enjoying the sensation of his skin on yours again. Even if it was just your hair.
You could smell his cologne wafting from his wrist and you placed a hand on his knee, turning your head to face him. He glanced over at you, giving you a sad smile. He put his free hand on your hand that was on his knee, then when he thought you were far enough away he pulled over to the side of the road.
“Wha---?” You looked around confused as he unbuckled his seatbelt. He unbuckled yours and then pulled you from your seat, over the gear stick into his lap.
“Rafa, what are you doing?” You cocked your head to the side like a confused puppy dog as he stroked your hair. Instead of answering your question, he pulled you into a deep, slow kiss. The complete opposite of what you had been through tonight.
“I just...I’ve wanted to do this since you left my office. Since I saw you with that gun pushed into your back. Since I saw you…” He started to cry so he looked down in shame.
You put one hand on his cheek and wiped the tears with your thumb. He put his hand over the hand on his cheek and kissed in between your thumb and first finger. You pressed your forehead against his while he tried to compose himself, then you just laid your head on his shoulder. He started to stroke your hair once more and just held you like that, basking in each other’s safeness and warmth.
“I love you,” He whispered while still holding onto you, tears still apparent in his voice. “I love you so much Y/N, I’m sorry. I will never let you out of my sight ever again,”
“I’m sorry,” You whispered into his shoulder. “I should’ve listened to you,”
“Hey,” He picked your head up and made you face him. “No, you do not apologize for ANYTHING, okay? This isn’t your fault,”
“Isn’t it?” You bit your lip while trying not to cry yourself. “I married the man, Rafael! I had kids with him, I--I would have stayed married to him if he hadn’t left!”
“But you didn’t know....” He comforted you.
“No but I should have,” You shook your head in shame at yourself.
“How could you have known that he--”
“Because my dad was like him, Rafael,” You finally admitted. You hadn’t told anyone that, not even Billy.
“....What?” You looked at him in shock, trying to make sure you heard him correctly.
“My dad, he--” You looked down at your lap in shame. “He used to beat the shit out of me and my mom,”
“....Me too,” Rafael finally admitted his own shame after a long pause.
“What?” You blinked several times. “Seriously?”
“Mmmhmm,” He nodded sadly. “Well you know when he was sober enough to hit. Sometimes he just wouldn’t come home at all. For hours, days. Finally never,”
“Oh, Raffi….” You gave a sympathetic look. “If it makes you feel any better, my dad drank himself to death,”
“How would that make me feel better?” Rafael raised an eyebrow at you.
“I don’t know, I was trying to say something comforting. I suck at it. I shouldn’t be a mother,” You shook your head.
“Hey now,” He put a hand to your cheek again. “You seem like a great mother,”
“Oh yeah, mom of the year,” You rolled your eyes. “I just left my kids with their psychopath father,”
“Hey, I kidnapped you,” He teased.
“Yeah you did--” You stopped smiling when the thought hit you like a train. “Oh fuck,”
“What?” Rafael furrowed his eyebrows.
“If I know Billy, once he realizes I’m gone and who I’m with, he’s going to claim you kidnapped me or something,” Your own eyebrows furrowed as you started going over worst case scenarios.
“But that’s absurd,” He shook his head. “Clearly I didn’t…”
“I mean you kind of did,” You shrugged.
“But you wanted to come!” He defended.
“You think he’s gonna word it that way?” You gave him a look.
“Well if they come after us then I’ll just clarify that--” Rafael kept reasoning with you.
“Then he’ll say that I just abandoned them,” You made another excuse.
“You left them with their dad--” Rafael was determined to make you see logic.
“He’s going to come after us Rafael!!”
“Okay, baby-- you’re spiraling,” He took both of your hands. “Inhalar, exhalar,” [pronounced
In-hall-ay, ex-hall-ay]
You took several inhales and exhales, long and deep.
“I just--” You breathed again. “I know this is going to end badly,”
“Not as badly as it could have,” Rafael pointed out. “Are you sure you’re okay? Do we need to go to the hospital or something?”
“...I...I don’t know,” You sheepishly admitted. “I haven’t had the courage to check,”
“What?!” Rafael cried, picking you up and standing up out of the car and opening the back door, laying you across the backseat.
“Baby these are fine leather seats! You’ll never get the blood out if you--” You tried to object but Rafael was already peeling off your “diaper”. He became more and more angry at the haphazard way Lewis had just patched you up so that he could shower. When he unraveled the mountains of toilet paper wrapped around your waist, he could see you were “Stopped up” by a bunch of cotton balls and tampons. And you were very clearly still bleeding. The sight made him sick.
“Fuck…” He whispered as he threw the “bandages” back on you, then went to get something from his trunk. He came back with an old t-shirt and wrapped it around your waist and butt area tightly.
“We have to stop this bleeding baby,” he began to panic again. “I-I don’t even know how you’re conscious right now, you must have lost a lot of--” He stopped talking when he realized you were in fact, unconscious now. All of those shitty bandages as shitty as they were, had been keeping your blood and and now it was freely pouring out of you and out of the car.
“Fuck…” He muttered as he slammed the door and got in the driver’s seat, starting his car again and speeding towards the hospital. Well, it would sure be a hell of a lot harder to explain he DIDN’T kidnap you now, if you weren’t awake to verify it.
He sped as fast as he could to the hospital, dialing Liv’s number as he drove. “Liv, get the squad to the hospital,” He instructed her.
“And we need a police detail at this address, but you have got to be discreet, I don’t want him going off the rails,”
As soon as they got to the hospital, Rafael jumped out and started yelling to EMT’s and nurses standing outside the emergency room to help him with you. They grabbed a gurney and helped Rafael put you on it, rolling you inside as you were immediately hooked up to things and had a team swarming you.
“How much blood has she lost?” A nurse asked him as she pushed him back away from you so the doctors could work.
“I...I don’t know,” He answered warily as he tried looking over her to see how you were.
“What blood type is she?” She moved him to face her.
“I don’t know…” He rubbed his hand across the back of his head, but it was covered in your blood. It made him panic more.
“Do you know anything, sir?” The nursed asked in an annoyed tone.
“Yes,” He was now glaring angrily. “I know she was brutally raped, and I’m pretty sure he tore her,”
“....He?” She eyed him up and down, seeing him covered in your blood.
“Oh come on,” Rafael exhaled with a sarcastic laugh. “You don’t think if I did this to her I would bring her in myself?”
“I don’t know you sir, I don’t know what you would or would not do--”
“No I did NOT do this to her--” He started to tell her she was nuts, when he heard the last voice in the world he wanted to hear.
“THERE HE IS!!!!” He turned to see Lewis walking in with Jersey PD, pointing directly at him.
“THAT’S THE MAN WHO RAPED AND KIDNAPPED MY WIFE!!!!!!!!”
….Well, fuck.

They were roommates... (A Lokius Fic)
So I made this a lil while ago, it gets updated every few days
Loki has to stay somewhere in the TVA and if he was working for them then its a little mean to leave him in a cell... or at least that was Mobius' argument, so he took one for the team and has Loki move in with him... A purely selfless act....
AKA Loki learns to be a good person, an okay roomie, and a not so good at being a menace to society (unless society bugs him)
AO3
Tumblr media
Loki hadn’t recovered from seeing the projection of his mother being murdered in front of his eyes, because of him, for very obvious reasons…. But he had started to come to terms with it, with everything.
That of course didn’t mean that he wasn’t looking for a way, any way, out; but it did mean that he had agreed to work with the TVA, well not with them, but with Mobius, even if the man (was he a man? Man was just short for human, was he human?) was infuriating, in every Gods damned way.
A whistle and a tilt of the agent’s head was what woke Loki from where he was dozing at the same table he had been sitting at since he had brought in, some unspecified time ago, Loki had opened his mouth to tell him that Gods did not appreciated being whistled at like a dog but Mobius was already off, walking out of the room.
Gods did not chase after anyone, let alone men who were holding him prisoner, Gods did not chase…
“Gods don’t chase,” he told the man, practically bouncing as he caught up to the fast walking man (seriously how did he walk so fast?), his head following everyone who passed them as they walked by, and trying to see what propaganda they had tacked to their modern walls.
“And yet, here you are,” Mobius replied in that calm yet amused tone he always used for Loki.
Loki glared, but Mobius wasn’t looking at him so he rushed past him, turning back to face the man walking backwards without breaking pace, trying to focus on him not on everything they were passing, he hadn’t been this way before, had they? A hundred questions bounced around his mind, most of them were ‘why the fuck is a talking duck being led by four armed guards?’ and ‘can I go talk to the duck?’.
A hand on his upper arm stopped all the thoughts in his head and he had to stop himself from coming to a full stop, or tripping, that would be embarrassing.
“Careful, Loki, you’re gonna bump into someone,” Mobius slowed his pace as he pulled Loki to walk at his side, “You can keep bouncing around like Tigger from beside me.”
Loki was not blushing; not at how flustered the touch made him, not at the mixed soft and amused tone which Loki swore was just for him (he wasn’t possessive he was just right), not from the chastisement, no he was not blushing, the TVA clearly just had a heating issue which seemed to be largely affecting just his cheeks, they couldn’t even heat a building correctly. Typical.
Loki cleared his throat, unrelated to his blushing, “Casey doesn’t know what a fish is but you know what that hyperactive big cat is?”
“Like I said Loki, you’re a pussycat.”
“Remind me to introduce you to a real hungry tiger one time,” Loki muttered, cheeks still pink, he kept an eye onto the admittedly comfortable slip on canvas shoes as they slapped against the floor.
“What was that, darling?”
This bastard was doing this on purpose, he had to be… unless he wasn’t, then he’d have to explain why in general people who were practically strangers didn’t call each other ‘darling’, but that did come with the increased risk of him either never calling him it again… or calling him it again, and they’d both know it was on purpose. He’s a bastard. Loki plastered a cheery smile onto his face, looking up at Mobius with a look of innocence they both knew was fake, “Nothing!” his smile turned genuine hearing Mobius laugh.
They were in a golden doored elevator when Loki found his voice again, “Where are we going?”
“I seem to remember some God of comedy telling me that he didn’t talk much…”
“It’s the god of mischief, or tricks, not comedy,” Loki cut in, narrowing his eyes when he saw a barely concealed smirk on his face, “But of course, you knew that as you know ‘everything’ about me. Where are we going?”
“Why don’t you tell me?”
“How can I tell you if I don't know?”
“You’re pretty,” Mobius leant forward past Loki and pressed his hand to the black screen on the elevator pad, pausing his speech for a second too long as he did so, “smart, why don’t you try to figure it out?”
Loki was frozen as Mobius’s arm brushed against his own as he leant back and stood beside Loki, he could smell the sandalwood from his aftershave as he moved. “You’ve found The Variant, the less amazing, less talented version of me?”
“The Variant is pretty talented too, Loki.”
“Not as talented as me,” Loki pouted, not pouted, Gods did not pout (as his father so often talk him), but his lips were pressed together and slightly stuck out. This was just ridiculous, he wasn’t pouting and he wasn’t jealous, because what would he even be jealous of? Some less awesome version of himself gaining Mobius’ praises?
“Agreed.”
Loki’s head snapped to the man who was studying his watch intently, a little too intently, if Loki wasn’t imagining it.
Mobius cleared his throat, looking back up at Loki, a mild smile on his face, “We haven’t found The Variant, yet. Any more guesses?”
Loki let out a frustrated noise, “This isn’t fair, you have more information where we’re going, I haven’t been given any clues!”
“Take a breath.” Mobius told him with an amused smile and a glint in his eyes, “Why’s it so hard for you to say I don’t know?”
“I don’t know.”
“Nice, very funny,”
Coming from anyone else it would have annoyed Loki, but it sounded both fond and amused from Mobius, he needed to get out of the TVA it was making him… he didn’t know, but it wasn’t what he was used to, and that made him nervous, which typically made him feel stabby.  “So you’re not going to tell me? It’s taking forever, for a place which dictates how everyone else should spend their time you’d think that you would actually develop a elevator which doesn’t waste all of your time.”
“Time works differently here in the TVA, Loki, I’ve already told you; anyway no need to whine, we’re here now.” The elevator stopped and the doors opened and Mobius strode out and headed left.
“I wasn’t whining,” Loki whined to the empty elevator, before bounding after him.
“What’s this?” Loki bounced on the balls of his feet as Mobius stood in front of a door, as it scanned him.
“Do you ever stand still?”
Loki thought for a second, he shook his head, then ran his hand through his hair to place it back into its original place, “Most people ask me if I ever shut up.”
Mobius looked away from the door to Loki with that ever present smile, “I already know the answer to that one,” he winked then pushed the door open and walked inside.
Loki took a few more seconds to follow him than he perhaps would have had Mobius not winked at him.
When he finally did walk in he was met with… an apartment, fairly lifeless, the style of the rest of the TVA continued inside of the place, a small kitchen, a living area with a screen which looked like a television but he dare not ask in case that bloody cartoon clock began to play, there were a couple of doors leading off to one side and a couple more leading off on the other side.
“I don’t understand.”
“What don’t you understand?”
“Don’t use that patronising tone on me, I'm not a child.”
Mobius sighed, “I wasn’t using a patronising tone on you, Loki, I was asking you what you don’t understand, which is okay.”
Loki gritted his teeth and began to move around the room, strolling to the kitchen, he wasn’t sure if it was to stop himself from snapping again, or, gods forbid, from apologising. “So?” He turned back to see Mobius watching him with his hands tucked into his pockets.
“So…? Use your words, Loki.”
Loki could see the glint in his eyes across the room, that time he had meant to “What’s the test? Has the variant been here? Or is there some sort of set of clues? Or…, I swear if there’s a training video or propaganda video I shall launch myself out of the windows.”
“Nah, we’ll start on the training and propaganda in a day or two, not right this second, and those aren’t windows.”
Loki turned to look at the windows, “What are you talking about, of course it’s… oh simulated glass panes… I must have sustained a concussion from The Hulk, I’m never usually this slow.”
“Of course…” he said in a way which made it clear that he did not believe it, “We can get you checked out at the medbay tomorrow, if you like, being here might be affecting your healing capacity. This isn’t some form of test, it’s an apartment, my apartment.”
“It’s…” Loki looked around again with fresh eyes, it was still fairly lifeless, but there was a bright yellow mug on the draining board with that bloody clock on it, and a Coca Cola red pen on the table closest to him, a few certificates with ‘Mobius M. Mobius’ on all of them, along with some books which didn’t seem to be propaganda for the TVA… interesting… “It’s very…,” he tried to think of a compliment but gave up quickly, so instead gave a shrug, “it’s smaller than my childhood nursery was.”
Mobius gave a laugh, “I’m sure it is.”
“Well it’s very… it’s certainly an apartment… Why precisely are we here?”
“It was agreed by Judge Renslayer that if you would be working with us you deserved to be housed somewhere which isn’t a cell, of course you can’t go anywhere without me, and this apartment is fully secure.”
“You’re not worried that I’ll slit your sleep in your sleep?”
“It would mean I don’t have to get around to all of the paperwork on my desk.”
Loki frowned, why did this man never take his threats seriously? “If I’m staying here where will you be staying?”
“There’s two bedroom’s Loki, you’ll be staying in the guest bedroom.”
“A guest bedroom? Why do you have a guest bedroom? Are you allowed guests at the TVA headquarters? Do you have guests? Like your mother? Do you have a mother? Do all of the apartments have guest bedrooms? Are you agents allowed to get married and have kids? I don’t see why else you’d need two-.”
“Loki, can we stay on topic, please?”
“Sorry,” Loki swallowed, looking around once more, then back at Mobius, “I… I suppose it’s better than a cell.” The best thing about the cell had been Mobius’s visits, because Loki enjoyed annoying him, and nothing more.
“Marginally,” Mobius chuckled. “Is that a yes? Cause if not I should get you down to a proper cell before dinner time.”
“I… I suppose.”
“You don’t sound very enthusiastic, the cells really aren’t that bad, if you’d be more comfortable in your own space then I can take you there.”
Loki rolled his eyes, dropping into a rather uncomfortable armchair, he almost regretted his dramatics, almost . “I’m staying… But if you try to indoctrinate me into your cult with more of those videos I’ll skin you alive.”
“That’s the spirit.”
Loki was certain that he was going to kill either himself or Mobius by the end of the week.

Highway to Heaven - Ch. 5

Your best friend Johnny wants to go on a road trip. The only catch? He wants to bring his roommate, Jeong Jaehyun, someone you just couldn’t stand.

A/N: A bit of smut in this chapter, but what will it meannnnnn ;)
You woke to arms around you. His breath tickled the back of your neck. He was cuddled into you, his body molded perfectly around you. You didn’t know what to do, you were truly torn. You had to admit it felt nice, to be held by someone again, but you still weren’t sure how you felt about him, and this would certainly be a complication. You shifted slightly, but it was enough to wake him. You could hear him waking up, his consciousness slowly returning, and when he finally realized the position he was in, he froze. He slowly removed his arms from you and turned over in the bed.
“Rise and shine, sleepyheads!” Johnny came into the room, pretending to cover his eyes, “Is there anything going on I should know about?” he questioned innocently, as he threw himself onto the bed in the space between the two of you.
“Grow up,” you complained, getting out of the bed and heading for the bathroom.
“Dude, what happened?” he turned to Jaehyun. You left the room but hovered behind the door, wanting to hear what Jaehyun would say.
“I screwed up! I was doing so well, staying to my side of the bed, but when I woke up I was spooning her!”
“What! Did she know?”
“I don’t know, I took my arms out carefully, she didn’t move, so I don’t know? Ah man, I fucked up. She’s never gonna trust me now.”
“Hey, maybe she didn’t even know? We can only hope.”
“I can’t face her without apologizing though.”
“Suit yourself.”
You heard the bedsprings groan as Johnny got up from the bed, so you ran into the bathroom and closed the door behind you. You sat on the edge of the tub, head in your hands. You’d never been in such turmoil before, it was usually pretty clear to you if you were attracted to someone or not. Jeong Jaehyun, however, threw you for a loop. On the one hand, he was that callous playboy who slept around with women and dumped them at any inconvenience. On the other hand, he was that guy who would hold your hair back as you threw up, the one who would remember the most innocuous things you liked, the one who would stare with wonder at stars. The one who cared about whether or not you would trust him.
“Hey Y/N, hurry it up in there!” Johnny knocked obnoxiously on the bathroom door, “We got sights to see!”
“Gimme a sec,” you called back, turning on the faucet to splash some water on your face. You looked at yourself in the mirror and decided to be resolute. You had to trust your instincts.
When you came out of the bathroom Jaehyun was on the balcony. The morning breeze was fluttering his hair, his bangs falling into his eyes, which were closed. He was leaning on the railing, in a plain white tee that hugged his shoulders, the hem of it waving slightly in the wind, threatening to give you a view of his perfect abs. You looked away quickly, grabbing your suitcase and heading for the door, hoping he wouldn’t notice you. No such luck.
“Y/N!” he called, coming back into the room. His hair was now mussed from the wind, a bedhead look that would be unattractive on anyone but on him, it just increased his attractiveness. It almost made you angry. “Hey, I just wanted to apologize for last night.”
You faced him, your emotions warring in your gut. “Don’t mention it.” You said in the calmest voice possible.
“I really didn’t mean to-”
“I know.”
“I just need you to know-”
“I get it, Jaehyun. Let’s just forget about it, okay?” You walked away, leaving him standing alone in the room.
---
That day was spent at a local market, the three of you navigating through the stalls of fresh fruits and vegetables and various homemade goods. Once in a while one of you would stop and peruse the wares, or try samples offered by the food sellers. Jaehyun gave you space, not overtly avoiding you though, which you found you were thankful for. He’d sometimes point out things to you and you would just nod before walking away, missing the lingering looks he would give you. At one point Johnny went off to look at some leather goods, leaving you and Jaehyun alone at a fruit stand.
“Would your girlfriend like to try some?” the fruit seller had offered Jaehyun a sample of their peaches, and had gestured towards you, standing behind him.
“Hm? Oh, she’s not my girlfriend,” he offered politely, “just a friend.” The seller apologized, and the two of them continued to engage in conversation about the fruit.
You stood there, feeling like someone had just stabbed you in the chest. There was a dull throb that at any other time you might have thought was a heart attack, but you’d felt it before and you knew exactly what it was. You could feel your face getting hot, ridiculous tears pooling in your eyes. You willed them not to fall, and thankfully they listened.
Johnny came over then, and seeing the look on your face he opened his mouth to ask what was wrong but you stopped him.
“Hey I’m just gonna go back and find that stall that sells soap, you guys stay here I’ll catch up with you later.” You turned and walked away quickly, not giving them the chance to protest.
By the time you had found the soap stall you had calmed down, still determined not to let whatever you were feeling for Jaehyun come to the surface. You’d picked out some soaps and decided to wait for them back at the car. Eventually they came back, talking and laughing over something they had seen.
“Let’s go, I’m hungry,” you called out, getting into the passenger’s seat as Johnny got into the driver’s seat. When he caught your eye he mouthed are you okay? You nodded and he didn’t press any further, knowing that sometimes you needed your space.
You didn’t offer much to the conversation for the rest of the night, not at dinner at the local taqueria, not even when you were all choosing the local motel for the night.
“You guys choose,” was all you said, and soon enough you were pulling up to the gaudy neon sign of the closest roadside motel.
“I managed to get a room with two beds this time! Are you proud of me, Y/N?” Johnny poked you in the side teasingly, but you weren’t in the mood for his jokes.
“Just remember that I’m not sleeping with you,” you warned.
When you got to the room you let the two of them wash up first, wanting to take a long hot shower to soothe yourself. Before you went into the bathroom the two of them were in the same bed, but when you came out Johnny had moved to the other bed, his long limbs splayed out so there was no room for anyone else. Both were asleep. You sighed, thinking about kicking Johnny in the head for being an ass, but thought better of it. Jaehyun was on his side, and even though he wasn’t the smallest person, he was so tucked into himself he took up very little of the bed.
Screw it, you thought, and just laid down on the bed beside Jaehyun. You were too tired for this and sure enough you fell asleep seconds after your head hit the pillow.
---
You were dreaming and you knew it, but it felt so real. His hands were warm on your skin, caressing your naked stomach, reaching down further, parting your legs. Before he could reach your core you woke with a start, not realizing you had cried out in your sleep until you looked over and Jaehyun was staring at you, his eyes practically bulging out of their sockets.
“Y/N?” he whispered, “Are you okay?”
You huffed in frustration. “Fine.”
“Were you having a nightmare?” he asked softly, “You almost screamed.”
“No, it wasn’t that kind of dream,” you sighed.
“What kind of dream was it?” he asked innocently.
“Don’t worry about it,” you snapped, and he took the hint and turned over.
You, however, were still aroused from the dream, and it was making you frustrated beyond belief. You had to finish yourself if you were going to have any peace, so you looked over to make sure he couldn’t see. Satisfied that what you would be doing wasn’t in his viewpoint, you slipped your hand down your panties and dipped your fingers into your pussy. Sure enough you were wet from the dream, and so you proceeded to finger fuck yourself, but in that position your fingers just couldn’t reach your g spot and it made you even more frustrated. You swore under your breath, and suddenly it hit you that the person in the bed next to you definitely had long enough fingers to reach. You must have been delirious with arousal to even consider it, but you were beyond rational thought at this point.
“Jaehyun,” you whispered, but he didn’t respond, so you shook his shoulder lightly. He turned to you.
“What’s wrong?” he asked sleepily.
“I need your help,” you whispered, and he propped himself up on his elbow to look at you.
“Of course, what do you need?” he whispered back.
“I need you to help me get off.”
You could barely make it out in the dim light but he was blinking his eyes rapidly, shaking his head at the same time. He was definitely malfunctioning.
“I’m sorry, did I hear you correctly-”
“Yes, I need you to finger me until I climax, can you do that?” you clarified. You could feel your arousal slipping away and you were desperate.
“I mean, yeah, but are you sure? What does this mean for our relationship?”
“Listen, I’m horny as hell right now and I can’t even think about that. This is going to be awkward either way, whether you agree to it or not, at least if you do it I’ll have gotten an orgasm out of it.” Your argument was twisted but he contemplated it and seemed to be swayed.
“I guess that’s true…” he agreed, and you almost whooped in relief.
“Great, here, give me your hand.”
He obliged, and lifting your shirt, you took his hand and placed it palm down on your bare stomach. He inhaled sharply when he made contact with your skin, and the same feeling from the dream returned to you.
“Mm, that’s good,” you moaned softly, which emboldened him. His hand moved independently now, slowly down, and you squirmed in anticipation as he got closer.
“That’s it,” you encouraged, as his fingers reached your folds and he began to part them.
“You’re so wet,” he whispered in awe, and when you moaned again he slid two fingers in. Your back arched off the bed, a silent scream dying in your throat as he started to pump his fingers inside you.
You pressed your lips together to keep from making a sound, not wanting to wake Johnny, but you could feel an intense orgasm coming on. Jaehyun’s fingers were heavenly, hitting you directly in that spot that made your toes curl. You pulled at the sheets as the pleasure in your gut ramped up.
“That’s it,” Jaehyun whispered in your ear, “Come for me, baby.” The combination of his magic fingers, the low tone of his voice, and the term of endearment sent you spiralling. Stars exploded behind your closed eyelids as you had the strongest orgasm of your life at that point, your body shaking, pussy clenching around Jaehyun’s fingers.
He let you come down from your high before he removed his fingers, and you sighed softly at the loss. He got out of the bed quietly and came back with a damp towel to help clean you up, gently wiping away your arousal. When he was done he pulled the covers back over you and smiled.
“Sleep now,” he whispered, because your eyelids were fluttering, and the last thing you remember before you fell into slumber was his fingers ghosting along your cheek.

The writings on his skin Shinsou Soulmate au
Soulmate au with communication via writing on their skin.
Oh god this is bad, I’m not happy with it at all. My original draft got deleted and I had to rewrite this at 2 am and I’m dead. I didn’t proof read it because I swear I’m gonna pass out so I’m so terribly sorry for butchering this. I love Hitoshi to the moon and back I hope he has the most wonderful birthday I LOVE HIM. Hope this doesn’t suck that much. Love ya. 💖💖💖💖💖

warnings: mentions of bullying, some angst, fluff

When Hitoshi was young he used to believe in soulmates. He couldn’t wait to meet the person that would fit him like a puzzle piece. In the early age of five, Shinsou Hitoshi was filled with positivity and hope. Hope that in the future he would get to enjoy all the things he liked with someone special.
He was so excited for the first day of school. some of the kids from his neighborhood would be in his class; they didn’t like him they were really afraid of his quirk and would make fun of him all the time, but he didn’t care. He would make new friends and just ignore them. Stepping into the classroom he was met with about 18 new faces. 18 possible friends. A smile spread across his face as he made eye contact with one of the kids. The boy was playing with some LEGOs as Hitoshi made his way to him.
“Hi I’m Shin-”
“AHH IT’S THE MONSTER!!!” the boy cried out as he stumbled backwards putting a respectful distance between them. The whole class turned to look at them and one by one all the kids slowly took a step back. They were all afraid of him. They all wanted nothing to do with him. They-they.
“He’s a villain!!!”
“Someone call All Might!!!!”
More children joined the mocking and the cries for help. A group of boys, two of which he knew, walked up to him growls leaving their mouths as -even though Hitoshi was a tall child- they towered over him. Pushing him to the ground, one of them snatched his backpack emptying the contents on him before throwing it at a corner of the room.
“Villains are not allowed here! Jihiko-sensei will kick you out, villain!” Right on cue, Jihiko-sensei stepped into the room, her eyes landing immediately at his wide eyed face and trembling form.
“Boys that’s rude!” grabbing his backpack she started putting back his scattered supplies.“Apologise to Shinsou right now!”
Reluctantly the four boys bowed their heads, mumbling an apology before rising their noses up in the air and walking away, leaving a terrified Hitoshi on the floor.
During the first day of school he knew that he wouldn’t be getting new friends and with that his doubts of even having a soulmate bloomed to life.
Middle school was not as bad as elementary. He had gotten used to the teasing and the name calling. He couldn’t say that it didn’t bother him; it really did but he had learned not to show it. Even now, years after that fateful first day in kindergarten, he had no friends. All of them pushed him away, some more politely than others, leaving the word ‘villain’ lumming over their heads as they turned him down. He was fine though. No soulmate mark had appeared but at this point he couldn’t really be disappointed. After all, someone like him -a monster, a villain- didn’t deserve to have a soulmate.
It was a normal day in his boring middle school. So boring that Hitoshi had turned to doodling on his arm. It was not a habit, he hadn’t done it before since he saw the doodles as tattoos and he didn’t want to give others more reasons to call him evil. Plus he liked his arms clean. But he was bored and it was hot and he wasn’t functioning correctly. At some point during his history class, he fell asleep. He woke up to a light tickling sensation running up his arm and a dim shine appeared on a spot near his wrist.
‘You can’t draw….’
He blinked once, twice expecting the words to disappear but they didn’t. They didn’t fade, they were real. Bold black letters stared back at him as he marveled at the sight. He … he had a soulmate and he could actually speak to them. Snapping out of his trance he scrambled for a pen and thought of a response. He didn’t wanna seem desperate. Deciding on sarcasm he wrote beside their own message.
‘Well excuse me Picasso’
He waited for a response for what felt like centuries. This was amazing, incredible, astonishing all of those long pretty words writers use to describe their female characters in poems. Would they want to meet him? Did they live nearby? Were they the same age? So many questions swirled inside his head he almost missed the mandala pattern that appeared on his wrist. The design became more vibrant and visible as the minutes ticked by. It was beautiful.
‘What’s your favorite color?’
‘Purple….why?’
‘Be patient sweet soulmate of mine, you’ll see.’
His heart skipped a beat. Oh lord he hadn’t even met them yet and he was already getting butterflies in his stomach. Slowly purple highlights started to appear on his skin, matching the black outlines perfectly. They truly were a Picasso.
‘There now you have true art on your hand.’
‘Confident are we?’
‘Only when it comes to inter-soulmate communications.’
He liked them. He knew that from the first moment. A smile took its place on his face as he saw new letters forming on his skin, warmth blooming in his chest as he stared at their conversation. Soulmate...maybe he wasn’t so lonely after all.
UA High. This is it. He was finally here. A place where heroes were made. It’s his time to show all those pesky brats that called him a villain that he could be a hero. A fine one at that. Getting placed in the general department was a disappointment and kind of a let down. He thought he did well on the exam. Apparently, having a grape quirk was more hero material than his brainwash. He wasn’t fazed though and neither was his soulmate. They hadn’t stopped speaking since their first conversation back in middle school. His day would start with a small, sloppy good morning scribbled on his wrist. They were there for him whenever he needed someone to rant to and he was always their shoulder to cry on. Well inky shoulder? They had agreed to keep their identities a secret along with their gender leaving everything to the hands of fate.
‘She shall bring us together, babe.’ They always called him that, not that he minded.
‘Well she should hurry up kitten.’ And he in return he given them that pet name. They never complained. He hadn’t mentioned which school he applied to, only that he would be becoming a hero. So when they mentioned something about a Bakugou Katsuki he was intrigued.
‘Yeah he is in my class. Super annoying 0/10 would not recommend.’
They went to the same school. What a coincidence. Maybe fate did work fast. Choosing his next words wisely he replied.
‘So you are in class 1-A huh? Funny.’
‘How do you know that?????’
‘I’m in the general department that’s why.’
There was no response for some time. He knew Aizawa was a harsh teacher when it came to discipline, he gets a taste of his discipline every afternoon at six,  so he didn’t write anything else. Later that day, during his training, the familiar tingle distracted him. Glancing down on his arm, he totally missed Aizawa’s capture tool coming straight for his leg. Before he knew it, he was swiped off his feet and started hanging upside down from a branch of a nearby tree.
“You are distracted Shinsou!” Aizawa sighed below him. Hitoshi read the message quickly before turning his attention back to his teacher.
“I’m sorry Aizawa-sensei.”
“Yeah yeah just don’t be like that during your training with my class. You remember that it starts tomorrow right?” Aizawa said as he got him down, letting him fall with a loud thud.
“Yes sensei I know.”
“Great, now go get some rest I don’t want you passing out the moment you step in the forest.”
Shinsou had never gathered his things quicker. Draping his jacket over his shoulders he sprinted to his dorm, an idea forming in his mind. He didn’t know if you wanted to meet him yet but he sure as hell wanted to see you. Grabbing a pen from his desk he scribbled under your previous message.
‘Can you draw one of your mandalas on my wrist?’
Y/N was late. Like super late. She had missed her first alarm and had only gotten up because of the pounding at her door. She had stayed up the previous night drawing something for her soulmate. She kept messing up and redoing her work one too many times. Reaching her classroom she slid the door open and tiptoed to her seat seeing as Aizawa-sensei hadn’t gotten out of his sleeping back yet. Sitting down she let out a sigh of relief as her friend leaned over to her.
“Late night with your soulmate???” She sang teasingly which only made Y/N roll her eyes.
“Shut up Sky!” Soon they were instructed to put on their hero costumes and meet their homeroom teacher at the edge of the mini forest right in the outskirts of the school grounds.
Skipping out of the girls locker room she looked down at her wrist where the mandala from last night looked back at her. She ran her fingers over the lines wishing she could see the design on the recipients skin.
“Come on man! We’re gonna miss the intro move your ass!” Sky grabbed her arm and yanked her forward, ruining her moment of longing as they made their way to the forest.
Aizawa-sensei was accompanied by another person. A boy almost at his height with vibrant purple hair and the most tired eyes Y/N had ever seen. He was staring at the class giving small nods when someone asked him something.
“This is Shinsou Hitoshi. Most of you will know him from the sports festival, he fought the problem child.” Midoriya hid his face in his palms at the name. “He will be joining the hero course come next year so have fun training with him.”
Shinsou raised his hand to scratch his neck, a nervous habit Y/N concluded, when she saw the intertwining lines on his wrist. The purple stood out. It was more vibrant on her design, slightly losing it’s shine on his pale skin possibly because he received it. Was that? Was he?
“Who wants to pair up with him?” at that her arm shot up instantly, without even thinking. Aizawa motioned for the rest of the students to find their partner as she made her way to him. He was taller up close, her head barely reaching his chin. Extending her drawn on hand she greeted him.
“Y/N L/N, nice to finally meet you Shinsou.”
Bonus:
The house was quiet. Oddly quiet. Hitoshi let his bag drop next to the coat hanger as he took off his shoes. The TV could be heard playing from the living room but no voices accompanied it. Where was she? Making his way to the kitchen he found a bowl full with steaming soup that looked like it had just been made. He left it on the table, his first priority being to find the girl he was looking for. Slowly walking up the stair he heard a humming coming from the room down the hall.
Once at the top he made his way to the pastel violet door, grasping the knob and pushing it open. He was met with the back of his soulmate, humming the soft tune he had heard earlier as she rocked steadily back and forth. The mess of purple hair on her shoulder raised its head revealing those stunning e/c eyes he adored so much.
“Daddy…” the little girl in Y/N’s arms let out a low sleepy mumble. Turning around she saw her husband standing in the doorway of the nursery, a smile adorning his face as he looked at Kei. Kei, at the sight of her father, started doing grabbing motions trying to leave her mother’s embrace. Hitoshi let out a low chuckle as he took the two year old in his arms, letting her wrap her chubby arms around his neck and nuzzle into his neck.
“Happy birthday Toshi.”
Shinsou Hitoshi could have never imagined he would be here today, holding his daughter as his soulmate stared back at him. He was happy, beyond happy actually. Words could not express. Extending an arm out to her, she took it tucking herself under his chin as one of her hands came to rest on the back of her baby. Kissing both of his girls, he squeezed them closer to him.
 “Thank you kitten. For everything.”

Tony wakes up groggy, disoriented and with no recollection of where he is. At first, he thinks his room, but his room isn’t as white or spotless or has a strong sterilizing smell. It hurts his head just smelling it. Or maybe that’s just his head hurting in general from waking up somewhere unknown with no recollection of it.
He finds Rhodey sitting next to him, holding his hand and looking at his phone with his other. When Tony squeezes it Rhodey looks up and is relieved to see him awake.
“Tones,” he moves to sit on the bed. “How are you feeling?”
Tony frowns in thought. His head hurts and there’s a bit of throbbing pain in his left leg, but other than that it’s not too bad to warrant Rhodey’s concern.
“My leg hurts,” he admits, voice cracking. Rhodey quickly grabs the cup of water and a straw. Tony inhales the liquid in like a scorched animal in a desert.
“What happened?” he tries again, grateful his voice didn’t nearly send him into a coughing fit.
“What’s the last thing you remember?” Rhodey moves strands of hair away from his eyes.
“I don’t - I don’t know.”
“That’s okay, that’s okay. Take your time. No hurry.”
Tony works his brain to remember something. Anything. The last thing he recalls is welcoming a new student to the academy. Hellcat if he remembered the name correctly. Something about hell and a cat is somehow involved. Sounded about right. After that, nothing. He had been with Pepper welcoming her, returned back to his tower and then he woke up in this bed with a headache and Rhodey next to him.
That had been in… August? Or sometime around there.
“We were welcoming new people. Hellcat? Daredevil?”
Rhodey frowns. Not a good look and not a good sign. “That’s what you remember?”
“Yeah, why? Did something happen?” Tony gives the room a quick scan. “Why am I here and why does my leg hurt?”
Rhodey squeezes his hand. “You got hurt, Tones. Got taken down while flying. Your suit took a lot of the damage but your leg still got nicked. Stress fracture. Not too bad considering everything. You’ll be getting a cast for it, though. Hope you’re ready.”
“Only if you carry me.”
“No carrying on my end. Someone else has that covered now.”
“Aww, Honey Bear, I don’t want anyone else carrying me but you. You know that.”
Rhodey shook his head. “Not these days, Tones. The honor of carrying around your ass goes to someone else now. Someone, I might add, that you absolutely love being carried by.”
“What are you talking about?” Tony lifts himself up to sit upright. Hurt like hell but now he’s able to get a better view of Rhodey. He notices his best friend has more of his War Machine suit on than usual. Where before he had been getting used to it. Now he’s wearing it with the same confidence as Tony does his own.
Not only that, but he can also almost swear that Rhodey looks a bit older now. He can’t put a finger on it, but somehow Rhodey looks as if a fair amount of time had gone by. A bit bulkier. Strong posture.
Where the hell as his Platypus been training recently for him to gain those muscles so fast?
“Well, uh,” Rhodey scratches his head. A nervous habit. A very telling tell. “There’s no easy way to say this.”
“Say what?” Oh shit, did something really bad happen besides him breaking his leg and not remember? Did whoever he had been fighting with do something to him? Run off with his spleen or kidney? Stolen his fridge of cheese? Hacked into his systems and stolen everything?
“Tones, what year is it?”
Tony blinked. Oh… crap. Usually, people only ask that question when memory loss is involved. Did his head get injured in the fall? How many years has he lost? It can’t be too many since Rhodey still looks more or less the same and it seems like they’re still in the Academy.
“It’s twenty-sixteen,” he says, fear slowly growing as his mind ran through scenarios after scenarios of what he could be missing from memory.
“Crap,” Rhodey rubs his forehead. Not a good sign. Never a good sign. “It’s okay, it’s okay, not too bad. Memory loss happens. Nothing we can’t handle together.”
“Honey Bear, what year is it?” His heart rate starts going faster. He’s terrified of the possibility of so much time going by and not remembering any of it.
“Tones, calm down. It’s not too bad. It’s twenty-nineteen. Only three years. We can handle this.”
“Three?” Tony repeats. Sure three doesn’t sound like a large number but it’s years! So much could happen in one year let alone three.
Rhodey hugs him. “Hey, it’s okay. We’ll handle this together. I mean it. Not much has changed. We’re still in the Academy. It just has more students than before. You’ll run into a lot of new faces but it’ll be okay. You’ve made a lot of improvements on your armor and mine. You’ll get used to it again. I’ll help every step of the way.”
Tony takes deep breaths. It’s all easy to say, but it’s still a lot of time taken away. People change. Is he still friends with Pepper? What about Jan? Loki? Do people who used to tolerate him hate him now? Is he still helping around in the Academy or has Nick kicked him out of board meetings?
As if knowing exactly what he’s thinking, Rhodey tells him, “Pepper was here earlier, but she got called away. I’m sure she’ll be back soon. Jan couldn’t skip another class. It’s Thursday. She’s already skipped all day yesterday. Couldn’t do another.”
Rhodey pulls away. “You know Loki wouldn’t be caught dead caring for someone where everyone can see. He’s getting updates from Jan, but he does occasionally skulk around here.”
“Oh,” that answers some. What about the others? “Anything big happened?”
“A bit,” Rhodey admits. “Besides the Academy’s weekly attacks, some big events have happened. Nothing that’s changed your life too much, though.”
Tony exhales. Doesn’t sound too bad.
“Jarvis has a body now.”
He blinks. “...what?”
“Jarvis has a body now,” Rhodey repeats slower. Hands out and at the ready to catch him should he fall at the news. “Walking, talking body with working arms and everything. It’s really cool. You’re really proud of it.”
“He… he has a body?!” That’s… that’s incredible! Jarvis has always behaved like a person, even with his digital coding, and Tony has always considered him as an individual all his own. Sassy, sarcastic, but still loyal and humble. Jarvis getting a body? That’s got to be the greatest thing that’s happened to him, and Tony can’t even remember it!
It absolute sucks.
“Where is he? The body, I mean.” Jarvis is always with him, but physically? Where is that?
“In the tower preparing everything for you. Make it cast friendly,” Rhodey gives his left leg a pointed stare.
“Okay, is that everything?”
His eyes go back to Tony. For a millisecond Tony can see them land somewhere on his shoulder before they go to his face. It’s enough for Tony to shakily raise his left hand to touch it. His shirt is thin enough to feel everything underneath. Nothing out of the ordinary on his shoulder but when he runs it over his neck he stops. The skin under his fingers isn’t as smooth as his shoulders. Marks are present. Barely noticeable really. Faded but still there. Located where one would place a bite to mark a mate.
Rhodey knows the moment he realizes what it means. He gives rapid nods in confirmation. “Yeah, it’s exactly what you think.”
“I got mated?” Tony nearly screams in hysterics because - holy shit!
“Not fully mated,” Rhodey is quick to correct. “You haven’t signed marriage licenses or had any kind of wedding. You marked each other to keep people off you. You’ll get officially hitched once you’re both ready. At least that’s what you’ve told me.”
“Off me?” That’s a very odd reason for it. Who would even be on him anyway? Tony has no suitors, no interests in him. Did he somehow offend someone and they’re sicking people on him? Is the mark meant to do damage control for it? “Did I screw up and pissed off someone?”
Rhodey’s mouth falls open. “What - no! What? - how did you come to - no, of course not! Shit, Tones, how can you come to the worst conclusions?”
“Doesn’t the worst usually happen?” He doesn’t mean to sound pitiful. It just sort of happens.
Story of his life.
“Not recently, no.” Rhodey puts a hand on his shoulder. “Yes, you get the short end of the stick sometimes - actually, you get it a hell of a lot more times than I’d like, but it’s not every day and certainly not for this. This mark,” he points to it, “you have this because you and your mate just happen to have the hots for each other.”
“Just the hots? That’s not encouraging,” Tony looks down. “So it’s a temporary thing.” Once this quick hot honeymoon phase is over they’ll separate no doubt.
“You both call it love but I’m not about to feed that disgusting fire you have going. You both need to cool it with the affection. It’s traumatizing some of us.”
“Who am I even mated to?” The million-dollar question. Who ended up getting stuck with him? Who did he manage to convince to give him a try? From what he remembers, no one he knows has really caught his eye. In and outside of the Academy. No one, except for a certain Captain that he may or may not have had a crush on since his childhood. Odds are pretty low, the bottom of the barrel low, that Steve is his mysterious mate.
Oh, but how strong he could hope.
When Rhodey doesn’t answer right away Tony asks again. “Who’s - who’s my mate, Platypus? A new face? Someone outside the Academy? Who’s the unlucky person?”
“I don’t think he considers himself unlucky mating you, and don’t talk about my best friend like that.” Rhodey gives him a playful hit. “He’s a good guy. Don’t disrespect.”
“I love you, too.”
“Careful he doesn’t hear you say that. He’s a possessive asshole.”
“So a guy,” that doesn’t narrow down the list much but it is surprising. Tony really thought he’d get a girlfriend, but turns out he went and got a boyfriend instead.
Howard would be so proud of him for proving that right. ‘Why have a broad when you’ll probably be the broad?’
He didn’t know how to feel if he ended up mating to a male alpha. With the posturing and the aura of dominance he couldn’t create just waiting to be smacked across his face everyday, taunting him. Howard did always say he was a sorry excuse of an alpha. Better suited to be another alpha’s... well, you know.
At least he and this guy love each other, right?
“Who’s this guy?”
“Well, it’s -”
“I’m here! I’m here! Tony?” A voice interrupts. From outside the door, in came the one and only Steve Rogers. He’s breathing heavy and looks like he ran a marathon getting here but he’s smiling. Large and shining. “You’re awake.”
“Hi, Steve,” Tony says. It’s all he can think of saying. He honestly didn’t expect Steve to be here. They’re not exactly close from what he remembers.
Steve’s about to say more but Rhodey quickly stops him, dragging him back out the room and the two proceed to have a very hushed conversation. So hushed that Tony can’t guess what they’re talking about, but he does hear a very clear but very hurt, “oh” at the end. Then the two don’t realize their voices have gotten louder.
“Yeah.”
“So he doesn’t remember.”
“No. Sorry, Steve.”
“Now what?”
“We help him. Any way we can.”
“Would I be of any help, though? I’ll just cause problems.”
“Will you be able to keep away?”
“...no, I won’t.”
“He may not remember, but he still cares for you. Always has. Just gotta help him fall in love with you all over again.”
Hold on. One. Second.
Fall in love?
All over again?
Him?
With Steve??
When?
How?
Tony stops breathing.
The two return. Their hushed conversation over. Tony must be bug-eyed as he stares at them.
Steve stops in front of his bed. “Hey, Tony. I -”
“I mated you?!”
His shouting surprises the two. “Oh, you heard that?” Steve says.
Tony is speechless. It’s not a denial. Meaning, it could be very much true. He’s mated to Steve?
“Yeah, I’m you’re mate. Two years now. Could’ve been near three but you’re very stubborn,” the famous omega says so freely. As if being mated to Tony isn’t the worst thing in the world for him. “Rhodey told me you don’t remember anything in the last three years. So you don’t remember our time together?”
No, I - no.”
“Okay,” Steve looks down. Hurt. “I understand if you want me away while you heal -”
“No,” Tony says rather quickly. “I mean - help me understand. How did we end up together? How did I win you? No - shit, that came out wrong. You’re not a prize. You’re a hero and an icon. I just don’t get how I got this lucky.”
Steve has a smile. It’s small, but it’s there. “I don’t know about you being lucky. I think I’m the luckier one here. If you have to know, it took a lot of work on my part. It also took a lot of help from your friends. You’re really determined to ignore the signs right in front of you, Love.”
Tony makes a choking noise. Steve just called him Love. Steve Rogers just called him love! He couldn’t believe it. This is all a dream. It has to be. He’s never this lucky.
“Tony?” Steve frowns and moves around the table. Closer to him. He reaches a hand out. Rubs a thumb under his eye. “Honey, you’re crying.”
Is he? Steve pulls his thumb away. Glistening from a tear. Oh, looks like he is.
“I’m just overwhelmed,” he inhales, “and in pain.”
“Your leg?”
“Yeah.”
“I’ll go get the nurse.” Steve turns to do just that but Tony grabs his arm before he can take the first step.
“Wait. Stay. Please?”
“I’ll get her,” Rhodey offers and walks out the room, leaving them alone.
Steve sits on the bed. He grabs hold of his hand. “Okay, I’ll stay. I won’t go anywhere.”
“Thank you.” With his shirt, Tony wipes away the tears. “Could you - could you tell me how it happened? How did we -?”
“Get together?” The omega pipes in.
“Yeah. I just don’t believe it. Feels like a dream.”
“You better believe it, Mister. This is no dream and I worked really hard to get you. I’m not letting go.”
Tony laughs. It’s so surreal to hear Steve say that. For him of all people!
“Okay, while we wait for Jim let me tell you about the first time I tried asking you out. A lot of people got upset about it and trust me, it wasn’t because I was trying to get off the market.”

Summary:
Warnings;
Show/movie: Z-Nation
Paring: Murphy x reader
------------------
You’ve had this habit since you were a kid. Every time you were scared you would hold your breath. It was like if you held your breath then time would stop, like nothing could hurt you. You’ve only passed out once from holding your breath and that was when you were in high school having to present your paper in front of your whole class.
You were walking beside Murphy as horse of Zombies rounded a corner. You were spooked and stumbled backwards, but you quickly got up aiming your silver and white .45 pistols at the zombies foreheads. Everyone around you doing the same. You were fine, this was fine, but when you found your group cornered it scared the hell out of you.
“What do we do?” Addy asked warren taking the words from you. “Over here!” 10k said as he found a building that was just a couple meters away in the woods. “Come on.” The group ran. Warren, Addy and you were the first ones inside aiming your guns making sure there wasn’t any zombies. When it was clear the others came in.
It was a small little shack of a house in the woods. It had two bedrooms, a small living room, one tiny bathroom, and the kitchen that looked like it was out dated by 30 years.
“Will stay here until the horde passes.” Warren said as she shut and locked the door. You looked through the shack trying to find anything useful that’s when you opened the bedroom door. A couple bats flew out of the room making you jump and Squeal. Murphy laughed as he sat down beside you on the dusty couch. “What scared of a couple bats?” You shook your head as you continued going into the room.
Whoever was in the room left in a hurry. The Drawers were pulled out of the dresser. Clothes were thrown over the bed. A few pictures crooked on the wall, a few empty, dusty spots on the wall were pictures once were. You heard footsteps behind ou and you turned seeing warren.
“A family.” She said looking at the picture you had plucked from the wall. You nodded, your fingers cleaning the dust off the frame. “You have a family before this?” She asked, you nodded, but also shurgged.
“My baby brother. I took care of him. He, Umm. He died back when all this shit began. He didn’t listen to me and ran out of the house while two or three zombies were right in front of the house. He ran too fast for me to stop him and they killed him right in front of me. Mom, well she’s been out of the picture since I was 13. She decided I was old enough to take care of brother, who was just a baby then. So she ran off with some dude paying for her drugs and my dad died in the service. Back when my brother was born.” You answered tears pricking your eyes but you quickly whiped them away.
“I’m sorry.” Warren sympatheticly Said to you. You nodded as you whispered a “me too”. Warren walked out of the bed room as you sat down on the bed. Just staring at the picture in your hand. You weren’t an emotional person. You rarely showed when you were upset. Ever since you were young you had to act like nothing was wrong. As if your life was just sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns. But truthfully you just felt overwhelmed. Life was just being overwhelming.
“Can I come in?” Murphy asked as he walked up to the door frame. You looked up at him nd nodded. “What’s up, buttercup?” He asked sitting beside you and bumping your arm. “The sky.” You joked sarcastically with a smile. “I have got to learn to stop saying that. You say that every time.” You giggled as you looked down at your hands. Putting the picture frame onto the dresser then laying down on the bed.
“Do you ever feel overwhelmed?” You asked, completely forgetting who you were talking to. “Uh, hi my name is Murphy. People call me the Murphy. Nice to meet you.” He said sarcastically. You rolled your eyes as you faced him. “I hate you.” He knew you didn’t mean that. The two of you had a weird friendship. You both ran into each other when he first became the mission. You actually talk to him as if he were a person, not as “the package.” You friendship grew into more of an relationship but neither would admit it. I mean the two of you have came so close to kissing but 10k or doc always interrupts.
“Sorry, bad question.” You spoke. Putting your arm over your eyes, blocking the sunlight. You felt the bed shift and automatically assumed he was leaving. But when you felt the bed shift and an arm slip around you, you didn’t jump. You knew the only person who would wrap their arms around you would be Murphy.
“What’s got you so stressed?” He asked his arms wrapped around you as the two of you spooned. Him being the big spoon holding you. And you resting against his chest enjoying the comfort.
“I don’t know. Life.” You laughed and shrugged. “It’s just. We’re taking you to California and we don’t even know what’s going to happen to you. I mean, they could just be killing you. Or torcher you or something. I don’t know. I-I’m just over thinking is all.” You spoke looking at the white wall in front of you. Murphy sighed as he pulled you so he could look at you correctly. He stared into your Y/e/c eyes and smiled. He leaned forwards kissing your forehead.
“You don’t have to worry about me.” He tried to get her to stop worrying. He didn’t want to go to California. He too was worried about going. He wouldn’t tell anyone that but he truly was.
“You guys are gross.” 10k said as he just so happen to walk into the room. “Kid, you don’t know gross.” You told him with a laugh. He nodded as he looked at you. “I just wanted to sleep on a bed while we had one, but you two have this one occupied and warren decided I could sleep in this one since addy had called the other one. Just as Murphy was about to say something you covered his mouth with your hand. “Of course. Come in lazy get up!” You said as your tried to pull out of Murphy’s thought grip. He groaned as he released you. “And for a minute I thought we were having a moment.” 10k laughed, “yeah a gross moment.”
An hour passed and the horde passed. You sat on the couch as Murphy laid across it, his head lying on your lap as doc sat across from you on a small love seat. “Is it weird?” Doc asked looking at you and Murphy. “Is what weird?” You asked completely confused at what Doc was asking. “Being in a relationship during the zombie apocalypse.” He answered looking at the two of you. You looked at him bewildered. “We-” “we’re not in a relationship.” Murphy ended the conversation quickly. He got grumpy all of a sudden. As if someone had just bursted his bubble. “Oh, sorry. It just seems like the two of you are a couple. I could’ve bet the two of you were together like a couple.” You nodded not knowing what to say.
“I don’t think he likes me like that.” You say all of a sudden without thinking. Murphy grows stiff and then tried to relax. “How is that? I mean he is literally only nice to you.” You just then began to think about it. Yeah the two of you flirted all the tile, but you never thought it was more then a flirty friendship.
“Alright, it’s clear of puppies and kittens I think we should get going.” Warren said as she came back inside the house. “I found a truck well take that. It’ll get us pretty far. Grab your stuff and take it to the truck. We’re leaving.” You grabbed your book bag and your rifle you carried. Your book bag had what you needed in it. (First aid kit, emergency food that you don’t plan on telling anyone about until it is needed. A water bottle. Stuff to make a fire, And girl stuff aka (pads, tampons, and Midol, and other pain meds.)
You sat in the bed of the pick up truck. The inside on fit three people. So you, Murphy and 10k sat in the bed of the truck. Addy, warren and doc sat in the cab of the truck. The truck was running good and somehow had a full tank of gas with an extra tank of gas on the back of it. It was complete luck finding the truck.
Days passed when you guys finally ran out of gas. The only thing was a storm had came. You hated storms. It was like it was a little bit of rain and wind. Heck, you would welcome that with open arms. But no, it had to be nothing but wind that seemed to be going 30 miles an hour, it was pouring rain and the thunder and lightning scared you every time you would hear the loud crashing boom.
“Are you okay?” Murphy asked, you jumped as the loud boom shook the store the group had found. “Yeah, just hate storms is all.” You spoke quickly looking at Murphy then jumping Sharon as you felt the store shake. Holding your breath as you sat down with you back against the wall and you head in your hands.
The group left you alone for a few minutes, just thinking you needed to be alone for a few minutes. But that is until you had passed out. Murphy was right by your side before anyone could get to you.
You had stopped breathing which worried him to death. “She’s stopped breathing!” He stressed looking at the group. He shook you some then he decided to give you mouth to mouth. (That’s how bad you had stopped breathing he thought you were dead. Geez gotta worry the group girl. 😂)
With a gasp you woke up. Looking at Murphy as he was practically holding you in his arms. “Wha-t happen?” You asked while sitting up. “You passed out from the lack of oxygen.” You looked at doc confused until you remembered. “Oh,” addy nodded, “Yeah, you have a bad habit of holding your breath while your scared. You gotta get out of that habit.” You nodded as you looked at Murphy and then to 10k who was just staring.
“What ya staring at?” You asked the kid. “Nothing, it’s just. Nothing.” He shook his head. “What I think he’s trying to say Is the two of you are still holding onto each other like it’s y’all last day on earth.” Doc finished for 10k. “Y’all need to kiss already and get the gross part over with.” Everyone looked at Warren shocked. She usually was not really into the gushy relationship stuff.
Murphy rolled his eyes as he looked down at your blushing self. You looked at him and shurgged. “Just get it over with. I can’t deal with you two staring at each other while the other isn’t looking.” Both of you rolled your eyes as you looked at each other. Looking into his eyes you placed a quick kiss to his lips. Everyone sighed shaking their heads. “That wasn’t barely even a peck.” Addy teased looking at you and you shook your head at her. Murphy pulled you closer stopping you from asking what he was doing with a passionate kiss.
“Wow.” You whispered, looking into his eyes. Kinda in shock. “Yeah,” he agreed looking in your e/y/c eyes. “That was cute, but now we need to get some sleep if we’re gonna get walking tomorrow.” Everyone nodded grabbing blankets they had found in the store making a makeshift beds and trying to go to sleep. Warren deciding to take first shift to stay up. Taking her spot beside the only entrance to the store.
You lied down beside Murphy. His arms comfortably wrapped around you as the two of you quickly fell asleep. This is where your safe place was, Murphy. He just seemed to ground you. And that’s the way he felt with you. The two of you just grounded each other.
And that’s the way I’m ending this story. Lol 😂 hope y’all liked it! ❤️🖤

Falling For Red Masterlist
This Months Writing
“Red come back to bed” I grumbled with my eyes still closed as I felt Lola carefully escape from my grip and the warmth of her body disappearing from the bed.
“I need to pee'' she laughed as she padded over to the en-suite.
“Red hurry up” I shouted, getting impatient and missing the feel of her body against mine.
What the hell was this girl doing to me?
“And here’s me thinking you are a stone cold asshole” Lola smirked, raising her eyebrow at me as she leant against the door frame, not bothered that she was completely naked.
“It’s too early” I groaned running my hand over my face “and I’m still an asshole Princess” a sleepy smirk appearing on my face “but if I remember correctly an asshole that made you cum hard last night, now get your perfect ass back in bed and maybe I can make it worth your while”
“Mmmm” Lola smirked as she slowly saunted across the room, crawling up the bed until she was straddling me, my morning wood pressing against her core, sucking her bottom lip between her teeth as she slowly rolled her hips against me “You better otherwise I’m leaving right now”
In one fast move, I had flipped both of us over so my body weight was now pinning Lola to the bed once again, my lips attacking hers before kissing along her jaw, slowly making my way down her neck until I found that sweet spot and soft moans filled the room.
As I nibbled and sucked on the sensitive spot I knew I would be leaving a mark but I didn’t care, I was addicted to the beauty that was under me and I couldn’t seem to get enough of her, all I wanted to do was taste her, start the day off in the best way possible. I didn’t know what she was doing to me, I was a one night stand type of guy and normally snuck out before the other person woke up and I never had them stay in my bed.
I started kissing down her body, taking her hardened nipple in my mouth, feeling her back arch under my touch made me smirk. Her body responded to my touch, every touch she melted into me.
Grazing my hand down her body, until I reached her pussy, I slowly ran my fingers through her folds before settling on her clit, drawing lazy circles with my thumb, keeping my eyes trained on hers as I watched her screw her face up in pleasure. Her moans were music to my ears as I slowly made my way down her toned body, placing hot kisses as I went.
“Gray” she breathed as I pushed her thighs open, throwing one of her legs over my shoulder.
“Yes Princess?” I smirked looking up at her.
“I need you” she moaned.
“Tell me where and how Princess” I grinned, kissing the inside of her thighs, nipping slightly, making her breath hitch.
“I need your mouth on me”
“As you wish” I winked, moving my finger off her clit, replacing it with my tongue.
I didn’t know what she was doing to me, we had only known each other a week but she got me feeling things I never thought I’d feel. She was fast becoming my weakness.
Her moans filled the room as I pushed a finger inside her, curling as I went, finding the spot pretty quickly, she was quickly coming apart under my touch and I was loving it. The way she screwed her eyes closed, the way her back arched trying to get closer to me, everything about her was mesmerising. And I was becoming addicted to her, something I never thought was possible.
“Oh god Gray” she moaned as I picked my pace up, her moans got louder as I took her to the point of climaxing.
“You taste so fucking good” I growled against her heat. “So fucking sweet”
Wiping my mouth with the back of my hand, I crawled up the bed, lying next to her, pulling her into my arms. Just holding her, running my fingers down her back as she came down from her high.
“What about you?” She mumbled as she absentmindedly ran her fingers across my tattooed chest, tracing the inked lines causing my skin to erupt in goosebumps and feel like it was on fire.
“What about me Princess?” I asked, playing with the ends of her hair.
“I feel you need something in return” she laughed softly as she ran her hands across my abs.
“Trust me Red that was for me as well, this morning was just about you. And plus that was breakfast” I smirked as her laughter filled the room.
“Oh god” she laughed, lightly swatting my chest.
“Just saying it how it is baby” I laughed placing a tender kiss on the top of her head.
“You are such an asshole” she giggled looking up at me, her green eyes shining bright.
“So you keep telling me” I winked. “But again this asshole has given you multiple earth shattering orgasms so you know I can’t be too bad”
What was this girl doing to me? I never let anyone stay the night, let alone in my bed. But then again Red wasn't a normal girl. There was something about her, the moment she walked into my office I knew she was different and the chemistry that was between us was like nothing else.
Running my hand over my face, I could help but smile as she rolled out of bed after finally coming down from another high, my eyes ran over every curve of her body, every single tattoo and every scar. As she pulled one of my black shirts over her body my smile grew, she fully rocked my clothes, due to her being so much shorter than me the shirt was like a dress on her, stopping mid thigh.
“You just gonna stay in bed?” She smirked.
“Well I mean we could” I smiled propping myself up on my elbow “or I could make you breakfast if you don’t need to leave straight away”
“Depends what you are planning on making” she smiled. “Because if you make pancakes I am completely down for breakfast”
“I make the best pancakes” I winked, rolling out of bed, grabbing a clean pair of boxers and my grey sweatpants.
“I will be the judge of that Mr” she smirked “I’ve not met anyone that makes pancakes better than Nix”
“Well sweetheart you have never tasted my pancakes” I smirked wrapping my arms around her waist, pulling her close to me.
“Like I said I will be the judge of that” she whispered resting her hand on my chest. “Now chop chop I’m hungry”
“So fucking demanding” I chuckled guiding her down to the kitchen.
As we walked into the kitchen I saw Harper smirking as she fed Lucy. I knew what she was thinking, I never let anyone stay the night, let alone meet the family the morning after. Once again as soon as Lucy saw me her little arms were up in the arm wanting me.
“Morning little Princess” I smiled leaning down kissing the top of her head.
“Uncle Gray” she giggled kissing my cheek.
“Sleep well?” Harper smirked and I’m sure I saw a small red flush creep into Lola’s face.
“Stop being a nosy cow” I glared at Harper. I didn’t want her to make Lola feel uncomfortable especially now we were biting each other’s heads off.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Lola’s phone lighting up constantly as I placed a mug of black coffee in front of her.
“You are popular this morning Red” I laughed opening the fridge.
“Sometimes I swear them boys are far too protective” she sighed as her fingers darted across the screen “I love them to bits but they can get a bit too much”
“Oh I know the feeling” Harper laughed as she stared at me “he is just the same, luckily for me he has mellowed out a bit”
“Do you want pancakes little sister or not?” I glared making her huff as she went back to feeding Lucy “yeah that’s what I thought”

I woke up to the sun shining brightly through the curtains and my head throbbing.
"Oh god."
I groaned out as I sat up slowly. I looked around confused for a second before realizing I wasn't in my bed or in what I had worn out last night. I immediately brought my hand to my forehead.
"What did I do?"
I asked quietly before feeling nauseous, standing quickly and running into the fall to find the bathroom. As I expelled the contents of last night's endeavors into the toilet I finally realized I knew this place. I was at Chris' house but I couldn't quite remember how I'd gotten here or why. As I flushed the toilet I heard a knock at the door frame, making me wince at the sound.
"Morning sunshine."
He said a little too chipper.
"Don't."
I said, standing and washing my hands, then filling them with water and gargling it. When I spit I stood back upright and sent Chris a look through the mirror. He had a stupid smirk on his face.
"I brought you this."
He said, offering a cup of coffee to me after I turned around. I sent him a testing look.
"Thanks."
I said skeptically, watching him raise his brows and take off down the hall.
"How are we feeling?"
He asked, reaching for the remote to turn the TV off as we made it into the living room.
"Like I died, actually. And why is your apartment so damn bright?"
I complained, moving to sit at his table. He laughed at me before joining me.
"It's called natural light and it's good for you."
I rolled my eyes and took a drink.
"Whatever."
He shook his head at me.
"Oh by the way, I washed your dress. I noticed you got it wet last night."
I sighed, closing my eyes rubbing my hands over my face.
"Wet how?"
I asked regretfully and he laughed.
"I think, if I remember correctly, you ran into one of the waitresses at the bar. I didn't see all that happened but it was wet enough that it makes sense why you couldn't get it off by yourself."
I groaned, peaking at him through my fingers.
"Please, for the love of God, tell me we didn't."
i motioned between us. He looked confused for a second before it clicked.
"Us? Oh, God no. I mean you did say if the circumstances were different that you'd love to, and you kinda showed that. but I think after what happened when we got here, and you took your clothes off,  it wouldn't have worked anyway."
I drew my brows.
"How do you mean?"
He looked a little pale all of a sudden.
"Well you did dig your knee into my nuts."
I gasped, my hands moving to cover my mouth in shock.
"I didn't!"
I said and be nodded.
"Yeah, hurt like a bitch thanks."
I shook my head.
"Oh, God, I'm so sorry. Are you okay?"
I asked and he shrugged.
"I am now, but it was a pretty long night."
I grimaced at the thought and took another sip of my coffee.
"Hey Chris?"
I asked and he hummed.
"Yeah?"
I thought for a second before replying.
"At what point in the night did I take my clothes off?"
I said through a harsh wince. He nodded once.
"As soon as we walked in the door."
I rolled my eyes at myself.
"You said you were hot, then your dress got stuck on your head."
I drew my brows.
"Then after we got it off you hugged me, super excited i might add. That's when the situation happened."
he said circling his hand over his lap. I nodded slowly.
"Sorry again."
He nodded back.
"I know, you told me a few times last night too, before and after you kissed me."
My eyes went wide.
"I didn't."
I said and he closed his eyes tightly for a second.
"Twice actually."
I swallowed hard, placing my head in my hands.
"Oh god."
He laughed a little bit.
"I mean I'm not complaining but it definitely felt a little weird. You were drunk after all... And I was in a lot of pain."
I couldn't help but laugh at that too, him smiling at me as he took a drink of his own coffee.
"i dont think ill be able to stop saying it, but again, i am so sorry."
he shrugged.
"i dont mind. and as weird as it sounds im kinda glad it was me instead of some random guy from the bar."
he sent me a reassuring smile.
"after all, we both know i would never do anything with you like that when you are that intoxicated."
i nodded slowly.
"i dont think i could ever thank you enough for the way you take care of me. even if i am a dumb ass sometimes."
we both laughed at that, him moving to take a drink.
"anytime."
i looked from him to the table in front of us for a second.
"hey chris, can i ask you a question?"
he hummed.
"did you kiss back?"
i looked over to him and he seemed like a deer in headlights.
"what?"
he said, clearing his throat.
"i know it was some drunk confession or whatever, but did you kiss me back?"
he placed both hands around his mug, sitting there a little uncomfortably. then i shook my head and stood.
"ya know what, nevermind. forget i asked."
i said moving to walk back down the hall but he caught my arm. i looked up at him with pleading eyes.
"yeah i did."
i stared into his eyes for a second before he leaned down and kissed me deeply. when he pulled away he tried to study my face.
"it took ya long enough."
i said before grabbing his face and kissing him again. he wrapped his one arm around my waist, the other holding my head in place as our lips moved together. as we dethatched we both breathed heavily, smiling like idiots.
"if only you'd confessed sooner."
he said with a wink and i rolled my eyes playfully.
"too bad i dont drink that often."
he sent me a look and we both laughed.
"too bad when you do drink its not around me."
i nodded.
"yeah thats fair."
he shook his head, leaning down.
"just shut up and kiss me again."

Chapter 13
You woke up in a pitch-dark room, still covered by the blackness of the night. Your body was sore – an ache between your thighs, your muscles tensed as if you had run a marathon – but the feeling was so satisfying. You remembered immediately where you were – Jimin’s bedroom. You must’ve finally fallen asleep after he made you come for a third time. You rolled over, the silk sheets slippery, fresh and crisp against your skin, but beside you was an empty bed.
You sat upright, pulling the sheets with you to cover your still naked body, squinting through the dark room as your eyes search for him. But he wasn’t there.
You listened carefully in the stillness of the night, for any sign that he was somewhere close. The bathroom perhaps? But you didn’t hear a thing. What happened? Was he upset? Did he leave?
A knot formed in your stomach as you remembered your last conversation.
“Spend the weekend with me,” was what he had asked of you. You remembered the anxiety that bubbled within you as he did. How you instantly wanted to say “yes, of course,” but how somewhere in your gut, you still feared him. Feared your feelings for him.
You remembered how he tried not to show he was hurt when you said you’d think about it – and how he tried not to show how elated he was when you said you’d at least spend the night. How he fucked you afterwards, like his cock and his tongue were trying to convince you otherwise. But now he was gone – and you felt a sense of guilt.
You reached over and clicked on the light on the bedside table and scanned the room again – in case he was somewhere watching you from a darkened corner, but he wasn’t. You pulled yourself out of the bed, wincing from the shots of pain that ran from your core down your legs. You found his shirt, crumpled on the floor at the base of the bed, right where it had been discarded only a few hours ago. You slipped the cotton over your shoulders and fastened a few of its buttons. You then crept across the floor, through the door and out into the darkened hallway.
You could see a warm light beaming into the hall from the far end of it. If you remembered correctly, it must’ve been coming from the living area. As you stepped closer, your ears picked up on a low murmur – he was talking to someone.
“Jimin?” you called out softly, but you didn’t hear an answer. As you stepped closer, it became clear that there was in fact a second voice in the penthouse. A voice you didn’t recognize. You continued your ascent up the hall until they were clear enough for you to pick up words.
“He refuses to talk,” said the strange voice.
“Where is he?” you heard Jimin ask.
“In a container down by the shipyard. Picked him up just an hour ago.”
“Good. Get it out of him. Do whatever it takes.”
“You want him dead or alive?”
“If he doesn’t talk by Monday, I’ll come see him and decide then. I’ll fucking pull the trigger myself.”
You covered your chest with your hand, in a poor attempt to muffle the sound of your beating heart. He was talking about killing someone. Torturing someone. And you knew you weren’t supposed to overhear it.
You should have returned to Jimin’s room. You should have found your clothes – pulled them on you and made your escape from his home – made your escape from him. But something kept pulling you forward, making your feet creep closer to the bloodied conversation. Perhaps your conscience wanted to hear the brutality for itself – create a spark that would convince you that whatever you had been doing this whole time with Park Jimin was wrong. Or, perhaps your heart wanted him to say the right thing, let you believe what you were hearing was nothing but a misunderstanding – let him know what you heard so he could lie to you – tell you otherwise – convince you to stay.
You stepped around the corner and into the light and there he was. In nothing but a pair of grey sweatpants, his back turned to you as he spoke quietly to a rough, tattooed, burly looking stranger in a denim jacket. The stranger saw you immediately, and he glared over Jimin’s shoulder towards you. His gaze frightened you. Jimin saw the exchange and followed the man’s stare, turning to see you standing there in his hall. A look of disappointment washed over his features – he wasn’t happy you had seen what you had seen.
He brought his hand to the man’s back, ushering him away from you and towards the front door. They spoke quietly – quiet enough so that you couldn’t hear as they wrapped up the last of there conversation.
“Call me when it’s done,” Jimin reached for the front door and swung it open. “Let me know if anything changes.”
“Yes, sir,” said the man, getting the message that he was no longer welcome here. With that, he took off towards the elevator and Jimin closed the door behind him. He then turned back to you, dipping his hands into the pockets of his sweatpants, he leaned against the wall and stared you down.
“How much did you hear?”
You looked down at your hands and fiddled your fingers, unsure of how honest to be with him.
“Just a little,” you confessed.
“I told you not to ask questions you didn’t want the answers too. And yet here you are.”
“I’m sorry. I woke up and you weren’t there. I was worried is all.”
He sighed and dropped his head.
“I’m sorry too.”
Not knowing what to say to each other, a long silence filled the room and the space between you.
“I don’t know what we’re doing, Jimin.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, you and me. What are we doing? What do you hope to happen here?”
He lifted himself from the wall and strode toward the living area, looking down at you with a light smirk as he passed by you on his way, just a little closer than necessary. You followed him into the living area and joined him as he stared out over the city skyline. You watched him, waiting for an answer – unsure about what answer you wanted from him. He turned his head to look you up and down, his face still amused, like he wasn’t taking this seriously.
“You look really fucking sexy in my shirt, you know that?” he finally spoke.
Annoyed, you scoffed and crossed your arms in front of your chest. “Can you not be serious for a minute?”
“I already know where this conversation is going, Y/N. What do you want me to say, huh? That I’m not a criminal? I am. That I have good reasons for the things that I do? I don’t. That I’m not dangerous?” he turned his body and stepped forward, closing the gap between you – forcing you to look back up to him. His eyes narrowed and you felt a chill trickle down your spine – but this time it wasn’t because you were lusting for him. “I am dangerous, princess. But you knew that already.”
He reached up and gripped your upper arm in his hand, holding you in place - punctuating his words. He held it tight, and you froze beneath his display of strength.
“I’m no good for you either… but you knew that already too. And yet, you’re here. In my place… just waiting until I decide I wanna fuck you again.” You felt your face flush slightly as he called you out. He was right after all. You did know all these things about him, and yet here you were, begging him to give you a reason to stay. “I can’t say the things you want me to say, Y/N. So, why don’t we skip these games of should I or shouldn’t I slum with the mob prince.” He released his grip from your arm and turned back to the window. “This is just sex after all.”
You stared back at him, stunned for a moment as his final words cut through you. At first, you wanted to scream at him. Pound his chest with your fists. Make him take it back. But as quickly as those feelings came, they vanished and were replaced with a sense of calm.
You stepped forward towards him. He turned his face to look down at you – his eyes cold but curious. You reached up with both of your hands and cupped his face, then pulled him downwards. You brought his lips to yours, and you kissed him – long and chaste – trying to remember how it felt so that you wouldn’t forget. When you were satisfied that you could, you pulled away.
“Thank-you. I needed that.” You stepped back from him and he reached for you. But before he could grab tightly on your waist, you pushed his arm away then turned and left.
You canvased his bedroom for your clothes and belongings, being sure there was nothing important that you left behind. Leave you no reason to return to this place. Jimin entered the room just as you were busy straightening out your dress.
“Where are you going?” he asked.
“Home.”
“It’s the middle of the night.”
“I’ll be fine. I can get myself there safely.”
He watched you closely from the bedroom door as you sat on the edge of his bed and pulled on your heels.
“Have I offended you?”
“No, Jimin.”
“Then why are you leaving.”
“Because. I realized something.”
“And what was that?”
“That… I don’t want just sex. I thought maybe I did. Actually, I don’t know what I thought. But I know now.”
“So, that’s it. One night debasing yourself with me, and now you can go back to your perfect, pretty little life.”
“That’s not what this is about.”
“Then tell me what it’s about.”
You stood up from the bed and took one more glance around the room. You were set - save for the soiled bed sheet, you had erased every trace of you ever being there. You then walked over to Jimin and stood tall and confident before him.
“I don’t want to slum with a mob prince, Jimin. I want to hold hands with a King. I want a partner. Great sex. Great marriage. Great career. For a second – for some crazy moment in my mind, I thought that maybe one day you could be that person for me. But I see now – I’ll never be anything more to you than a skirt chase and a good fuck.”
You ducked around him and strode along the hall. He followed you once again - a déjà vu from the first time you visited this place.
“Y/N,” he called after you.
“It’s fine, Jimin,” you called back to him as you reached the door. “It was just sex after all. No big deal.”

You gave yourself a day to mourn Jimin – then you scolded yourself for needing to even take a day. Who was he to you, really? You hardly knew him, yet you climb into his bed and let him get under your skin. But you resolved to get over it, get over whatever it was that had drawn you to him and so you returned to work on Monday feeling ready to conquer the world. No Jinhyun. No Jimin. Only yourself to worry about – it felt great.
That is until you sauntered into your office and found, yet another, embarrassingly large bouquet of red roses sitting tall on your desk. You pursed your lips and sigh at the sight – annoyed by their mere presence.
You walked over and checked the card to be sure they weren’t from someone else. Call Me, was all the card said.
“Trudy,” you called out to your assistant. She jumped up from her desk and entered your office.
“Yes, ma’am?”
“Could you get rid of these please?” you nodded towards the flowers.
“Yes, of course. Ummm… how do you want me to get rid of them?”
“I don’t care, Trudy – throw them out. Burn them. Keep them for yourself. Just get them out of my office.”
“Yes ma’am,” she took the vase in he hands and scurried away with the bouquet.

Of course, you didn’t call him. You worked all day and that night you went out to dinner with your parents, came home and went to sleep. You walked into the office the next morning feeling well-rested and ready to have another successful morning. Once again, however, you walked into your office and found a new item decorating your desk. This time, it was a smaller velvet box. You set down your things and picked it up in your hands, inspecting it for what might be inside. You popped open the lid and your eyes instantly met the gleaming luxury that was inside. He had sent you a diamond and sapphire tennis bracelet. It was stunning – you couldn’t deny the man had good taste. In the lid you found another card. This one read Please. You laughed lightly to yourself, but replaced the card inside the box and called to your assistant again.
“Yes, ma’am?”
“Could you please have this returned to the sender today, please?”
You didn’t call him that night either. Instead, you went out for drinks with a friend from college. You got home a little later than you would have liked, but you had had such a fun time.

Wednesday arrived, and you entered your office cautiously, as if it was possibly boobytrapped. Your eyes landed immediately onto your desk, where, once again, something waited for you. This time, it was in a much larger box. It was white wrapped with a cream coloured ribbon. You pulled at the bow and lifted the top. Inside you found a designer bag. Well, not just a designer bag… the Birkin of the season. It was so exclusive, so sought after that even if you managed to get on the wait list at all, you were still at least eight months from receiving it.
“Dammit, he’s good,” you said out loud as you ran your fingers and drooled over the leather. You pinched the bridge of your nose as you called Trudy back into your office again.

That’s how the rest of the week and the following week went. Each morning you’d walk into your office to find some new luxury item spread across your desk – Louboutin pumps, Bvlgari earrings, Versace scarfs – and in a bold statement, Bordelle lingerie. And each day you’d send the packages back to him. That was until the day you walked in and found two workers on ladders hanging a piece of artwork over your wall. After you tried to scold them, you gave up and let them finish – realizing it wasn’t there fault – they were only sent here to do a job. When they pulled the covering off, you recognized the piece immediately.
“Zunuzin,” you whispered out loud.
“How did you know that?” Trudy startled you and she snuck up beside you to admire the piece. You shrugged her question off – you didn’t want to give her the reason why.
“It’s a Zunuzin,” said Jimin, noticing how you stopped to admire the massive painting that hung outside the kitchen. “He’s a Russian painter.”
“It’s beautiful. I really love it.”
“It’s my favourite. It wasn’t easy, but I finally got my hands on it.”
He’d given it to you.
“How are we going to send this one back?” Trudy mockingly asked.
“Oh! I don’t know,” you whined as you buried your face in your hands.
“You know how we could get this to stop?”
“How?”
“You could just call him,” she handed you a card which had obviously been sent along with the painting. You opened the card up and read today’s message. Just like the others, it was short and to the point.
I’m sorry. Please. - Jimin

Rising from the Ashes: Of Dates and Disguises
So this is Part Seven here is to my Master List and Part Six.
--------------------------------
He texts back his Angel asking to go out this Friday night. She responded positively. He told her that he would pick her up from work. She told him not to overdo it or she wouldn’t talk to him again for a month. He promised he would try and keep it lowkey. Damian fell asleep with a smile on his face and a place in mind.
She wore a red a three-quarter sleeve dress the flows out between her elbow and wrist, the skirt is flowy and ends above the knee. She wore cute ankle boots and black tights. She grabbed her black mini purse. It was still cold, so she grabbed her navy blue winter coat has fluffy faux fur on the hood. The next day of Marinette’s work went well.
She excitedly waits outside of Lucky Spot for Damian. She hears her phone ring, she picks it up. "Hi, Angel. I'm running a bit late. I got caught up in a bunch of traffic. I thought I would be out in time, but I'll be around ten minutes late. Can I pick you up at your apartment?" Damian asks speaking louder than need be.
"Damian, that sounds super loud are you ok? Are you safe?" Marinette asked, walking towards her apartment.
"Yes it's just traffic," Damian says. "Umm, I gotta go.."
"Oh ok," She said while hanging up. She finished walking home, texted Damian her address, and turned on the news. Robin and Red Hood were fighting Mr. Freeze. Well, they finished fighting they had Mr. Freeze in cuffs and was in the GPD's custody. Robin ran off out of view, the reporter talked about the fight when she heard a knock on her door. She got up quickly while turning off the t.v. and answered the door.
"Hey Damian," She smiles as she sees the boy, normally perfect black hair was quite messy, but handsomely messy, his green eyes sparkling in her dim lights. "Welcome to my humble abode. Would you like to take a look around?"
"That would be lovely," Damian said, closing the door behind him.
"Just let me remind you that I've only been living here for a couple of days and not everything is decorated or how I would like it to be," Marinette explained, quickly. "This is my kitchen and living room it's an open floor plan." If you follow me this way I have what will be my sewing room once I sell this twin bed. This is my bedroom, it's a mess right now so I'm just going to close this real quick. Then the bathroom is right here."
"This is quite a nice apartment for only being here for a couple of days," Damian compliments. "It doesn't look like you have much stuff though. Did you not take any of your stuff with you? Did your family not give you any housewarming gifts?"
"I recently lost my parents, that's part of the reason I left," Marinette said her face falling a bit. "They died when our house burned down, so I started from scratch. The things I own now were either left by the last tenant left, hand-me-downs from Chloe, or things I recently bought."
"Well I'm sorry for your loss, but I know you're strong. I'll be here if you need my support, Angel, as your friend or something more," Damian said, Marinette ran over and hugged him.
"Thank you, Damian. That means so much to me," Marinette said into his chest.
"You ready for dinner, Angel?" Damian asked, rubbing her back.
"Yes, just as long as it's nothing over the top as I said last night," Marinette said, looking up at the handsome boy breaking away from the hug.
"Yes, come on," Damian said as she locked the door. They walked downstairs, Damian then opens the door to his car for her.
"So where are we going?" She says, buckling her seat belt.
"It's going to be a surprise," Damian smirked, looking forward at the road, safety first.
"Can't wait," Marinette said, looking at the window, watching the city go by. "The city is so beautiful. Oh! I forgot to ask, did you get caught up in the Mr. Freeze traffic. I saw it on the news, man it must have crazy growing up in this city."
"You saw that?" Damian asked, looking over at the beautiful girl.
"Yes, it was the traffic light boy," Marinette smirked. "and Red Hood. They took him down quite fast, but Robin left quickly after Mr. Freeze was in cuffs."
"Traffic Light Boy?" He asks, remembering what Ladybug had said the night before. He smiles, knowing that the girl he wants as his girlfriend, is even more amazing than he thought.
Marinette blushes as she explains. "I didn't know Robin's name when I moved here, but my first impression was a traffic light. The designer in me died just a bit but since it's a right of passage, and it's quite honorable."
"We're here," Damian said, getting out of the car then he opens the door for Marinette. "Welcome to the first restaurant my father took me to when he first got custody of me from my mother."
"This looks so homey, what food do they serve," Marinette asked, taking a seat on a stool at the counter.
"Burgers, french fries, hotdogs, milkshakes, and pizza. I hated American food growing up because my mother had me on a strict diet," Damian said. "It's still not my favorite, but I want you to have the full American experience. Do you want to get a little of everything and just split it?"
"Sounds good," Marinette giggles. "So you've heard about me. What can you tell me about you?"
"I grew up with my mother Talia and my grandfather. They were big on self-defense, I spent a lot of time on learning martial arts; I have achieved many black belts. I don't want to talk about myself, I want to hear more about you," Damian said. The waitress came over and took their order.
"I started designing at a young age because I didn't want to be in my parents' bakery shadow. They were the best in Paris, but I didn't want to disappoint them if I wasn't as good as them. As a thirteen-year-old in collège, I started designing for Jagged Stone. I also was found by Gabriel Agreste after winning a competition. He then let me release my line," Marinette told him. The food had arrived and as Damian said they split everything. "So what do you want to do after you're done with school?"
"As the only true blood heir to Wayne Enterprises my brother decided that I would inherit the company, but they would always help me," Damian said, taking a bite of burger. "How do you like American food?"
"It's pretty good, but it seems super unhealthy. I think I'll stick to homemade Parisian food for a while. Next time I'll make the food," Marinette said, pulling out her wallet from her purse to pay.
"Ok you know that I am a son of one of the richest men in the world, but you insist on pay, why?" Damian asks, taking her wallet before she could pull out money.
"Because, my prince, you were first Damian, Titus' owner. The boy I first met was adorably nervous, complimented me, and insisted on paying for breakfast as a sorry for being tackled by his dog," Marinette said. "I'll pay the tip. It's a tip or all meal."
"Fine," Damian said, giving her back her wallet. He paid the part he said he would. They left and he held the restaurant door open then also opened his car door for her. Damian walked Marinette up to her apartment.
"Thank you, Damian, for walking me up to my apartment," Marinette said unlocking her door then turns toward him.
"Thank you for coming with me. You make me happy, Angel,"  Damian said looking down at her. Marinette leaned up and kissed his cheek. He leaned forward and whispered. "Angel, may I kiss you?"
"Prince, I thought you would never ask," Marinette leaned up and met his lips. They are incredibly soft. They broke their chaste kiss. "Goodnight my Prince."
"Wait, Angel, will you be my girlfriend?" Damian said stopping the door before she could finish closing it.
"I would love that," Marinette said hugging him.
"Thank you, Angel, for making my life brighter," he said, kissing her head. "Good night, Marinette."
"Good night, Damian," She closes the door with a smile, she slides to the ground.
The next morning Marinette got up and put on a straight long brown with blonde highlights wig she had bought earlier that week. She put on green contacts and wore the horse miraculous. She wore an emerald green shirt and her black skater skirt, all paired with green converse.
“Hey, Chloe,” Marinette said into her phone. “I’m about the teleport is it ok if I use your room.”
“Ya I’m here now, I’ll be waiting,” Chloe said then hung up.
“You heard Chloe, girls,” Marinette said looking at the kwamis. “Kaaliki full gallop. Full forth!"
The portal opened and she stepped through, now standing In Chloe’s room. She detransforms and hugs her friend.
“I haven’t seen you in forever!” Marinette said.
“It hasn’t been a week,” Chloe said.
“It feels like longer though. Guess what?” Marinette said breaking the hug now looking at her friend.
“What, you got  Titus owner to be your boyfriend,” Chloe guesses, rolling her eyes. Marinette blushes. “Wait seriously? You’ve been in America for five days and you already have a boyfriend? I guess I need to come to America too. Help me pack my bags?”
“Chloe his name is Damian and he’s super sweet,” Marinette smiles.
“Lila’s fake boyfriend’s name is also Damian,” Chloe snickers and then mimics. "Her Damiboo is so shy." They laugh together and Chloe takes a closer look at Marinette. "So who are you today?" Chloe asks
"Today I am Ann Prince, and I am here to visit my dear childhood friend, Chloe," Marinette said in a British accent, twirling.
"Hello Ann I'm happy to see you again, it has been ages," Chloe says, hugging her long lost friend. "What do you have planned for today?"
"Well, I would love to see the friends your friends you speak so highly of. If I remember correctly Adrien and Kagami have a fencing tournament, then Kitty Section has a performance," Marinette said with a smile.
"I'll text my friends to let them know that my dear friend Ann is coming," Chloe said texting them. "Want some lunch before the tournament?"
"I woke up, got dressed and came here, so breakfast would be better," Marinette said as they leave Chloe's room.
"How about brunch?" she says closing the door. "There's a small cafe near here we can go to."
"That would be lovely," Marinette said as they walk together in sync they talk about everything they had missed. They eat eggs and benedict. They talk about their futures, how Chloe is doing in school, and most importantly Christmas.
When they arrive they sit in the front row. They're on the quieter side careful not to draw attention to themselves. After Kagami won the girl's division she came and sat with Ann and Chloe. She smiled seeing the bluenette turned brunette.
"Good job you guys! Hi, my name is Ann, I'm one of Chloe's childhood friends," Marinette greeted, still speaking in her British accent.
"Hi, I am Adrien Agreste, and this is my beautiful girlfriend Kagami," Adrien said, hugging Ann.
"Hello, Ann," Kagami said also hugging her. Lila and Alya walk up to the group.
"So who is your new friend, you're all so quick to replace Marinette. What? Is she a bully too?" Aha sneers.
"Well I am Ann Prince, it is a pleasure to meet you," she said, holding out a hand with a sickeningly sweet smile.
"Ann you don't want to hang out with these people, they are bullies," Lila warned smiling.
"Lila, why are you here?" Adrien said, stepping in front of Ann.
"I came to see you of course Adrihoney! You are my boyfriend!" Lila screamed, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Lila, I've told you many times that we are not dating. I'm dating Kagami and have been for two years," Adrien said.
"We both know your father is making you date her. I'll be here for when you can finally be free from her cold claws," Lila said, walking off with Alya tailing behind her.
"Well, you guys ready to head to Kitty Section's performance?" Marinette asks.
"Sounds like a plan, Ann," Chloe said, locking elbows as they walk out of the school.
Kitty Section is playing at the TVi studio as part of a competition judged by Uncle Jagged. Apparently, he had been a bit quieter since his niece's funeral. She was excited to see her friends and her uncle even from afar. Luka won the best guitar solo, but Kitty Section did not win as a group.
"Hi, Luka! My name is Ann and I'm an old friend of Chloe. It's nice to meet you," Marinette said still in her British accent, hugging the bluenette. "Congratulations, I loved your guitar solo! The rest of your group was pretty good."
"Thank you, Ann, you guys ready for dinner? I’m starving," Luka said turning to the rest of the group.
"That sounds great! I haven't eaten since before the competition," Adrien said, rubbing his stomach.
They ate dinner together. They chatted and she told them the news of her and Damian. She told them about the Gotham heroes and everything in between. They told her about their Christmas plans. They smile as the pay and say goodbye. She left to go talk to Master Fu.
"Master Fu, it's good to see you, she says bowing. "I ended up in America, how are you able to get me the correct papers?"
"It's good to see you again Ms. Marinette. I like the wig and contacts a simple but good disguise," Master Fu compliments. "I just have my connections, don't worry it's nothing illegal."
The process didn't take long and soon she was heading back to Chloe's room. She opened the door to see her friends sitting down watching an anime. She sat down on the couch her friends and watch half an anime before they're interrupted by a bing.
Prince: Hey Angel how are you doing
"Aww Damian is texting," Marinette said, smiling at her phone.
Angel: Pretty good. what've you been up to today?
'Prince: I had a couple of meetings today. They were boring, but I'm alive. How bout you'
Angel: Chloe video called me so I could watch Adrien and Kagami's tournament. Then Kagami video called me so I could watch Luka's performance. It was fun. Want to come to my apartment tomorrow for a homemade meal
Prince: I would love that
Angel: Great see you, tomorrow prince
Prince: It sounds like you're getting ready for bed, but do you realize it's only two o'clock
Angel: Seriously I didn't even realize it
Prince: Lost in a design?
Angel: No, Adrien recommended us all a different and new anime, Sword Art Online. It's pretty good
Prince: Well I hope you enjoy it. Dick is telling me to pay attention. Bye Angel.
Angel: Good luck, Prince.
Marinette smiles, standing up while saying. "Guys. I should be going. It's already eight here, two in Gotham. I'll miss you guys, I'll be back for Chinese New Year and regular New Year."
"Well we can't wait to see you again Ann," Adrien said, hugging the girl the rest join in the group hug.
"Kaalki, full gallop," She transforms back into Mare. "Thank you for announcing my moving, by the way. Full forth. See you guys soon." Then she was gone. She had taken some French food she had missed a bit. She put the food in the kitchen, and grabbed her sketchbook, wanting to sketch her new found inspiration from being home. After a couple of hours of designing, and a shower she went to bed early because of jet lag sorta.

Soulmates // Severus Snape O.S.
Summary: Childhood friends, unaware they’re soulmates.
Word Count: 3949
Warnings: Brief descriptions of abuse, mention of death, soulmate au, italics means memories, possible angst
Tumblr media
When witches and wizards turn 18, their soulmate's name show up on their dominant wrist. For the muggle's, they can't lie to their soulmate. This is what defines who or what we are. When people find out who their soulmate is, they tend to drop at their feet and beg to be in their life for both muggles and the ones with magic. I however never got a good look at the name that showed up on my right wrist, only a quick glance at it. When it shows up, it tends to burn and since I wasn't good with pain at that time, I had fallen to the floor with tears rolling down my cheeks and screaming with pain as I held my wrist. What happened next I remember as clear as day...
I walked down into the kitchen to see my boyfriend sitting in the kitchen with a beer in his hand. He's 21 years old with black hair and electric blue eyes, my name was tattooed onto his left wrist - his dominant hand. I was his soulmate and hopefully he was mine. He was a really well built man, he was the star quidditch player before he was kicked out for beating one of the students in Gryffindor half to death, if I remember correctly it was a boy named James Potter. Today was my 18th birthday and I was scared for when the named showed up because I was there when Richard got his and if he winced in pain then I knew I would cry like a baby.
I walked over to Richard and hugged him from behind with a smile on my face which quickly disappeared when he pushed me away mumbling for me to, and I quote, 'get the hell off'. I nodded when I realized what type of mood he was in. I walked over to the fridge and pulled out the eggs.
"Richard, do you want some eggs?" I asked in a meek voice, afraid of making him mad.
"How many times do I have to tell you woman?! It's Dick. NOT Richard. Make me my damn eggs and leave," he was drunk and I knew it too. He rarely ever raised his voice at me and when he did, it doesn't end well for me. I cracked open two eggs and started to make scrambled eggs for him when my wrist started to burn. I dropped to the floor as pain shot up my arm causing my hand to hit the handle of the pan on the stove, the eggs flying everywhere. I screamed and tears started to fall down my cheeks as I sat on the floor holding my hand. It felt like someone stabbed into my arm with a dagger that was just pulled out of a fire pit or someone was branding my wrist like an animal. I looked up when I saw Richard kneeling in front of me. The pain slowly receded, leaving me panting with tears running down my cheeks. I quickly went to look if it was Richard's name and saw the beginning: 'Sev...' I couldn't see the rest because Richard growled and pulled me up.
"Ri-Dick? What are you doing?" I asked cautiously. He slowly lifted his head to look at me, he had anger in his eyes and turned before slamming my wrist on something hot. I screamed and tried to move my wrist from the hot stove as burning skin hit my nose, making me sick to my stomach. Tears ran down my cheeks as I continued trying to pull my arm out of his hand.
"You're mine. Not his. MINE!" he yelled and punched my cheek with so much strength that made me fly across the floor.
"I'm yours! I'm yours," I had cried the rest of night, wondering who's name was on my wrist that had made him do that. The only evidence was the 'Sev...' that I had seen before he burned it.
It's been 12 years since then. A scar covers my soul mates name and Richard had been killed in a robbery that had happened while I went to work at a cafe down the road, he had been to drunk to do anything. Now I'm 30 years old and I work at Hogwarts as the Powers Against the Dark Arts teacher. Since I'm ambidextrous I can use my left hand while my right hand stays hidden inside of my long sleeves. I never use my right hand unless I absolutely need to, which rarely happens. I keep it hidden so no one asks about what happened. No one questions why I don't use my right arm except for my best friend, Professor Snape. We've known each other since school and he was pretty close to Richard so when he died, we were the only ones there for each other and that made us closer. I help him with protecting Harry Potter. Sure he didn't like James Potter but he did happen to like Harry's mom so he tries to protect Harry. Something else I should tell you about, before Richard died I was pregnant. He died a week before she was born. I named her Skyla Jade Harrison and she is now in the Slytherin house and best friends with Draco Malfoy. This is the story of how I found my Soulmate.
I walked down the halls of Hogwarts towards Professor Snape's class. I don't have any classes right now because a different teacher was put there. Dumbledore wanted me to take a break or something so I'm not allowed to teach. Dumbledore is my adoptive father so I guess it makes sense why he treats me better than everyone else. My train of thought was disrupted when I heard two voices coming from around the corner towards Snape's room. I sighed and shook my head as I realized who it was.
"Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley, I expected better from you two," I said as I turned the corner to look straight at the two boys.
"S-sorry Ms. Harrison. We slept in and nobody woke us up s-so we ran a l-little late," Ron stuttered as he looked at me. I smiled and shook my head.
"Don't worry about it. Let's just go. Don't speak unless I say you can, understood?" I speak with a soft but authoritative voice which caused them to nod. I walked up to them and grabbed Harry's shoulder as I walked into the room with a smile on my face. Snape stopped what he was saying as he looked at us, a slight smile slid onto his face when he saw me but then disappeared as he saw the two boys in front of me.
"Hello Ms. Harrison," he spoke and I nodded with acknowledgement, a slight blush on my face - the room was dark enough to hide the red tint on my cheeks. "Potter, Weasley. Why are you late?" He spoke with a coldness in his voice. The boys looked up at me with slight fear in their eyes, thinking I'd rat them out.
"We wer-"
"I had pulled them to the side to speak to them before class began. It's all my fault. My apologies," I said as I tightened my hand that was on Harry's shoulder when he had started to speak. I glanced down at him with a look that told him to shut up.
"Very well. Get to your seats," Snape said and the boys scrambled to their seats. I smiled at Snape and he nodded his head before going back to teaching his class as I took a seat in the back of the room. As Snape was teaching, he kept glancing at me and each time I was looking around the room. I hadn't noticed until I had caught him in the act. Finally classes were over, meaning I get to hang out with Snape. I smiled happily and walked up to his desk that he was sitting at and staring at some papers.
"Snaaaaaaaape," I said in a slightly high pitch tone, wanting to get his attention. When he didn't look at me, I groaned and spoke in an even higher tone, "Snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaape." I giggled when I saw him twitch slightly, as if he was going to look at me before he looked up and around the room like I wasn't right next to him.
"I swear I just heard a dying cat just now - hmm," he said and shrugged his shoulders before looking back down at the paper. I stared at him in slight shock as I realized that he just made a joke. I quickly snapped out of it before moving his papers and sitting on his desk right in front of him, my right leg crossed over my left and put the papers to the side while smirking at him. Now what is he gonna do? "That's strange. I didn't know papers could move by themselves," he said with a smirk on his face. I faked a gasp and hit his shoulder.
"How rude. Here I am, your best friend, and you act like you can’t even see me. That's just cruel," I said and he chuckled slightly. He may seem like a mean guy to others but he has a sweet and caring side, just seems like it's only when I'm around.
"Like that's not a normal thing," he said as he rolled his eyes and leaned back in his chair. I shook my head and watched his right hand as he went to grab the papers he had been reading when something on his wrist caught my eye. My hand shot out quicker than the eye can see and grabbed his wrist as I looked him in the eyes. "Nicole?" he spoke with shock evident in his voice. He's never seen me react that fast nor have I ever grabbed his wrist since the night Richard died. I pulled his arm towards me and moved his sleeve further out of the way as Snape tried to pull his arm back, a look of shock and a little bit of worry swirling in his eyes. The name I saw on his wrist made my own eyes widen.
"My name...is on your wrist?" I asked as I looked at him in shock, tears threatening to spill. I jumped off his desk and started to walk away when he grabbed my left wrist.
"Nicki...let me explain, please," he said and I shook my head as I looked back at him.
"You only kept me around because of that. Why didn't you tell me?! Did you want to use me like Richard?!" I cried but froze in my spot when I heard a sweet and quiet voice speak from the doorway.
"Mommy..?" it was Skyla and she was in tears. I roughly took my wrist back from Snape and walked away from him, towards my daughter. I grabbed her hand and smiled at her before looking back at Snape.
"We all have secrets but I wish you had at least told me that," I walked out of the door after finishing the sentence. He continued to stare at the door and eventually walked out a few minutes after I left. I looked down at Skyla who had tears running down her cheeks. "What's wrong sweetie?" I asked and she sniffled before replying.
"I like Draco and he was snogging Pansy," she cried even harder as my eyes widened. I'm going to have to talk to that boy.
"Go clean up and then head to the hall to eat. Stay away from Draco unless he's apologizing," I said and she nodded before running to the closest bathroom. I walked into the hall where all of the students were eating along with the teachers. As I walked in, I felt two pairs of eyes on me and I knew who they were. Dumbledore and Snape. I walked over to the Slytherin table and stopped right by Draco who sat in between Pansy and some other guy. I tapped Pansy's shoulder and waved my hand left to right, telling her to move over and she complied. I smirked and sat down on the seat in a way that my back rested against the table and my legs were still in the walkway area. I turned my head and looked at Draco after looking at Dumbledore and Snape's shocked faces.
"Mrs. Harrison?" Draco asked in shock, I normally come in steal a piece of bread from the Slytherin table then leave; I'm not one for eating with hundreds of people surrounding me.
"Draco," I said in a sickly sweet tone with a matching smile. He looked like he was about to pee his pants. "Now listen and tell me the truth," he nodded slowly, "What do you think of Skyla?"
"S-s-she's a nice g-girl... Why?"
"What do you feel towards her? Friends, more then friends?" I spoke quieter so Pansy couldn't hear me. As I said the second part, his face turned bright red, telling me everything I need to know, "If you care so much then why did you break her heart?" His eyes widened in shock.
"What? I didn't..I didn't do-"
"Don't give me that. If you didn't do anything, then she had no reason to be crying her eyes out. Tell me the truth. What is going on between you and Pansy?" I said and his face turned into one of realization.
"That silly girl. There's nothing going on between me and Pansy. Pansy forced herself onto me," he said with a shake of his head.
"Well you better apologize, or else you’ll never speak to her again," I said and got up. I turned around to Pansy. "Stay away from Draco, we don't allow PDA and he doesn't like you. Thanks," I said and walked away after grabbing a piece of bread. I walked out of the room and sighed before realizing something. I don't even remember Snape's first name. I've called him by his last name for so long that I've forgotten. I smirked before heading back towards his classroom. When I arrived, I was almost done with my piece of bread. I walked in while shoved the last bite in my mouth before heading towards his desk. I sat in his chair and started going through his papers, looking for his name. What? It'd be embarrassing to tell him that I've forgotten his first name. He'd never let me live it down. I opened one of the drawers and pulled out the top paper. I quickly skimmed it but stopped when I read his name. 'Severus Snape. Huh. Interesting name, don’t know how I could’ve forgotten that.' I thought to myself but stopped as I reread his first name. I continued staring at it.
I quickly went to look if it was Richard's name and saw the beginning: 'Sev...' I couldn't see the rest because Richard growled and pulled me up.
I can't believe I didn't realize this sooner. Severus. I could slap myself for not realizing this sooner. I sighed and went to put the paper away before seeing a picture in the same drawer that had been under the paper. I tilted my head slightly in confusion as I picked it up. I smiled slightly when I saw the photo. It was a picture of me, Snape, and Richard. I quickly stood up, closed the drawer, and walked behind a stack of stuff when I heard people walking past the room, not wanting to be caught snooping. As I sat there, I stared at the picture and frowned as I took in the details. Snape had turned 18 the day this picture was taken and he said that his soulmate's name hadn't shown up and we just figured it was because he was a half-blood but now after seeing my name on his wrist and then looking at this photo, I could tell that my name was already there. I was in between them with Richard on my right and Snape on my left. I held up two piece signs and was giving a closed eye smile at the camera while Richard had his arm loosely wrapped around my shoulder and he was looking at a girl that I recognized as Lily, Harry's mom. You could see the lust in his eyes and the smirk on his face. He was leaning away from me and Snape. Snape was crouched down slightly and giving a smile towards the camera with his left hand in a peace sign and his right hidden behind his back but his eyes wasn't towards the camera, they were looking at me. The emotions in his eyes were hard to describe. I could see practically see the happiness, sadness, hurt, and...love. At the time I was dating Richard while Richard was cheating on me with almost every girl in Hogwarts. I continued to stare at the picture as tears started to flow down my cheeks. I hurt Snape and I was cheated on by the man I had loved. Tears rolled down my cheeks, off my chin, and hit the picture as I sobbed quietly.
-Snape
I walked back into my classroom to see it exactly how I had left it. I started to head over to my desk when I noticed something on the floor. I knelt down and picked some of it up. Crumbs. Bread crumbs. I chuckled softly and shook my head as I realized that Nicole had eaten in here. I walked over to my desk and picked up a piece of paper, looking over it before signing it. I went to pick up another one but stopped when I heard someone sniffling behind a stack of boxes I had in a corner of my room. I got up quietly and slowly walked over when I heard someone hiccup and sniffle again before they choked out a sob. As I rounded the corner I froze, my eyes widening. Nicole sat in a corner, she was bent over to where her forehead touched the floor. As I stepped closer I could see tear after tear running down her cheeks and hitting the floor. The sight broke my heart. I blinked before clearing my throat slightly, trying to get her attention. That's when I heard her mumbling to herself. Slowly the mumbling became yelling.
"He cheated... He cheated... H-he cheated on... HE CHEATED ON ME!" she yelled and shook her head quickly before hitting it off of the floor. "Why? Why me? Am I that bad of a girlfriend? I HATE HIM! I HATE MEN!" she yelled and my heart shattered. She went to hit her head off the floor again but I sat beside her and grabbed her head quickly, bringing it to my chest as she screamed for me to let go.
"I can't do that Nicki," I said and she tensed up, her screaming stopped but her tears and heavy breathing did not. That's when I saw the paper she was holding in her hands. "Nicki..." I said and she sniffled before breaking down again. She dropped the paper and threw both of her arms around my chest and buried her head into my cloak, sobbing. I picked up the paper and looked at it just to throw it to the side as I saw the tear markings on the picture. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her tightly. She continued to cry as I picked her up bridal style and headed towards my separate dorm. On the way there Nicole had fallen asleep in my arms. I smiled at her and walked into my room. I walked over to the bed and laid her down and headed to sleep on the couch but her grip on my cloak tightened and her eyes cracked open.
"Stay with me..." she begged and I nodded before removing my top cloak and get in next the her. I paid on my side so I was facing away from her as my cheeks heated up slightly. I tensed as I felt her come closer to me and she cuddled into my back. My face turned bright red and she giggled from behind me before her breathing slowed, showing she was asleep. I slowly relax and feel asleep with the love of my life next to me.
-Nicole
I woke up and kept my eyes shut, not wanting to really wake up. If I don't open my eyes, I'm not technically awake..right? Eh who knows. I cuddled closer to my pillow when it suddenly chuckled. Wait...pillows don't chuckle. My eyes popped open to see Snape laying under me, my head was on his chest and our legs were tangled together. I look up to see him already looking down at me. I smiled slightly as my face became bright red. I sat up and stood.
"Sorry about that," I said and went to walk away when he stopped me.
"Don't apologize. It was nice to see you show some type of emotion besides a fake smile," he said and I looked at him over my shoulder. He chuckled and pulled me back onto the bed, pulling me closer to his chest. "I'm sorry you think that I was just hanging around you because your name was on my wrist. In fact, the reason I did keep you around was because you were my only friend and my first crush. Hell, I haven't met anyone better," he said and my face turned bright red as he continued talking. "I still like you to this day. You're my real soulmate. No one else can replace you. Not even Nicole Smith. Never felt the same affection that I have for you for her. You are the one," he said and I felt him tense up. "I understand that you don't want to love me. I mean, who would. It's doubtful that my name's on your wrist anyway," I sighed and sat up. He stared at the back of my head as I slowly took off my top shirts, leaving on my tank-top. I turned around while looking down at the bad.
"I don't know who is on my wrist," I said and looked at him through my bangs to see his eyes widen. I slowly moved my arm towards him and showed him the scar that rested there. "Richard burned it off when I first got it..." I said and tears started to flow down my cheeks as he held my arm in his hand and rubbed his fingers against it.
"Did you at least get to see the first few letters," he spoke quietly as his eyes traveled to my own. His eyes were soft and caring, unlike Richard's ever were.
"Sev. That's all I saw," I said and looked at him, my tears coming to a stop as his eyes widen when he realized what I figured out while snooping around his room. "I'm pretty sure it's you. I mean, I haven't found anyone else who's name starts with Sev," I paused before continuing, "Besides, I seem to have fallen for you." I finished while looking down. Not even a few seconds later, I feel his hand cupping my chin and see him looking me in the eyes. I open my mouth to say something but stop as his lips hit mine.
That was the start of a beautiful relationship. Nowadays I'm known as Nicole Snape. We also have two kids together. Johanna Snape and her twin brother, John Snape. Along with their older half-sister, Skyla Harrison.

Paper Rings Part 2 (Richie Tozier X Reader)
WC: 3630
Warnings: Language, kinda sexual talk, gets a bit Sad
Summary: Y/N returns to Derry with Richie, for better or worse.
A/N: Here is part 2! I was so surprised by the overwhelmingly positive reaction to the first part so here is the second part. Hope y’all enjoy (also sorry if anyone notices that the summary and stuff is slightly different, for some reason all the text in this post deleted so I’m updating it.)
Tumblr media
The drive to Derry was surprisingly fun, full of screaming song lyrics at the top of their lungs with Richie’s hand never once leaving Y/N’s thigh. Maybe they pulled over once to fulfil Richie’s fantasy of making out in a parked car, but regardless, they got to Derry in record time.
They parked outside the Jade Orient, and Y/N could tell that Richie was starting to feel anxious. “Hey, wanna tell me what’s going through that gorgeous head of yours?” Y/N asked, shifting her position so she was facing Richie, one of her hands grasping his.
“It’s just that I haven’t been back here in so long, and I can’t remember why but I just feel like something bad happened here, and I think something bad is about to happen, Y/N.” Richie said, his voice shaking as he spoke, and Y/N felt her heart wrench.
She hated seeing Richie upset more than anything else, so she pulled him into an awkward hug, his head resting in the crook of her neck. “Rich, I’m here and I’m with you. You don’t need to worry, babe.” Y/N whispered into his hair, rubbing his shoulders soothingly.
Richie pulled away, taking a deep breath before giving her a grateful smile. “I love you so much, Y/N/N. Let’s go.” Richie said, and Y/N felt herself smile at his words. They untangled themselves and climbed out of the car, making sure it was locked as Richie had a habit of forgetting to lock both the car and their front door.
Richie slid his hand into Y/N’s as they entered the restaurant, and she squeezed it gently to reassure him that all would be well. The overpowering smell of Chinese food caused Y/N to smile widely, remembering when she first told Richie she loved him.
“You know, if this dinner finishes quick enough, we can head back to the hotel and really make the most of that room.” Richie whispered in Y/N’s ear as they waited to be shown to their table.
“You are not getting me turned on before a dinner with your childhood friends, Richard. That is a game you do not want to start.” Y/N retorted, pointing her finger at him sternly. Richie went to respond, but the waitress arrived and guided them to their table.
Richie saw a large ceremonial gong near the table and without even thinking he ran towards it, picking up the accompanying mallet and banging the gong. The men sitting at the table all grimaced, and Y/N did too, shooting Richie a disapproving glare.
“Guess this meeting of the Loser’s Club has officially begun.” Richie said, and Y/N furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Must be an inside joke. Richie rushed to the three men sitting at the table with a look of shock on his face. Y/N stood there awkwardly as the friends reunited, rocking back and forth on her heels. She heard a few names thrown about during the conversation, and she tried to assign them correctly to faces.
“Hey Rich, would you care to introduce your friend?” The man that Y/N assumed to be Eddie said, pointing to her shyly. Richie gasped, realising he forgot to introduce Y/N. He moved over to her, placing an arm around her shoulders.
“Gentlemen, this is Y/N. I go everywhere with her, and she is the best.” Richie said cheekily, and Y/N rolled her eyes at him.
“So what? Is she like a PA or something?” Eddie said and Richie sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in annoyance.
“No you fuckwit, she’s my wife.” Richie said, and Y/N couldn’t help but burst out laughing as she lifted her left hand, showing off the rings that decorated her fourth finger.
“For once in his entire life he’s not joking. I’m Y/N Tozier, pleasure to meet you all.” Y/N said, stretching her hand out to shake the hands of the other men.
“Richie, do you think you’re maybe batting out of your league at all?” Eddie commented and Richie just gave him the finger and told him to fuck off, which caused Y/N to giggle.
Pleasant conversation took place for a while, before the arrival of two more people drew their attention. Y/N turned around with Richie, and she furrowed her eyebrows at the look on his face.
“Ben, Bev, good god. You guys look amazing. What the fuck happened to me?” Richie said, standing up to greet them. They let out a polite chuckle and Y/N couldn’t help but shoot Richie a loving look.
“Ok now that everyone is here, I’m going to start eating because I’m fucking starving. Also this is Y/N, my wife.” Richie said, causing Ben and Beverly to glance between the two with shocked looks.
“I’ll give you all the brief story. We met at a party in 2009 and didn’t get together until after his SNL appearance later that year. We got engaged in 2011 and got married in 2012. I worked on SNL for a few years as a writer and now I co-write a lot of stuff with Richie.” Y/N said, taking a sip from her glass of wine once she was finished.
“Wait so does that mean Richie doesn’t write all his own jokes?” Eddie said and Y/N nodded, causing Eddie to gasp before turning to Richie.
“I knew it! I knew you didn’t write your own fucking jokes.” Eddie exclaimed, and Richie nearly choked on his spring roll as Y/N, and the rest of the table, burst out laughing.
“Oh fuck you Kaspbrak. What exactly do you do with your life, huh?” Richie retorted once he had finished eating, and Eddie adjusted his jacket almost indignantly.
“I’m a risk manager, so I go into big companies and you know… I manage risks.” Eddie said, and as if through some miracle both Y/N and Richie mocked being asleep; Richie with his head hung back, his mouth open as he faked snores and Y/N who drooped her head forward with her eyes closed. Eddie let out an offended groan, scoffing at the pair.
“Look fuck you both! That was so uncalled for.” After Eddie’s outburst the dinner progressed pretty normally, with Y/N slotting into the group quite well. The bickering between her, Richie and Eddie was next level, and her cheeks hurt from laughing by the time the main course came around.
By the end of the night they were incredibly relaxed, although the tension grew when Mike began talking about It. Y/N was understandably confused as the only outsider, but she quickly put the pieces together as soon as the fortune cookies started to dissolve into some of the most disturbing things she had ever seen.
“Richie what the fuck is going on?” Y/N said, clutching onto her husband’s arm as they backed up into one corner of the room. They were breathing fast, and Y/N let out a scream as one of the things tried to come near her.
“Get the fuck away from my wife!” Richie said, swatting at anything that got too close for comfort. Mike beat the things on the table beyond recognition with a chair, and as soon as the waitress appeared all those things harassing them disappeared.
Y/N looked around the room in shock and confusion, running a hand through her hair as she tried to process what she had just seen. She was breathing fast and hard, and it seemed that Richie could tell she was close to panicking because he cupped her face in his hands and got her to focus on her breathing.
She started to stammer, unable to form proper sentences due to the chaos she had just witnessed. Richie shushed her gently, moving his hands so he could pull her against him. He pressed several kisses to the top of her head as she calmed down, one hand on the back of her neck and the other on her waist.
“I’ve got you, Y/N/N. I’ve got you.” Richie didn’t care that all the other Losers were watching them, some in confusion and some with an unrecognisable emotion on their face. All he cared about was making sure his wife was ok.
---------------
Y/N woke up the next morning wrapped tighter around Richie than ever before. All their limbs were tangled messily together and she was practically on top of him. As much as Y/N wanted to stay like that, she had to go get a coffee and wake herself up or else she wouldn’t leave the bed. She carefully untangled herself from Richie’s embrace and quickly threw on the closest set of clothes, which was a pair of leggings and one of Richie’s button ups, before leaving their shared room.
When she walked downstairs she found Eddie on the phone in the common area, pacing frantically as he spoke to whoever was on the other end of the phone. “Myra I love you but I really have to go, ok? Bye!” With that Eddie hung up, sighing as he put his phone in his pocket.
“Things on rocky ground with the wife?” Y/N said, causing Eddie to jump slightly at her sudden appearance.
“Yeah, you could say that, though I guess we’re always on rocky ground. It’s nothing like you and Richie, though.” Eddie said, and Y/N smiled as she scratched the back of her neck bashfully.
“Thanks Eddie. I’m so glad I met Richie, honestly. He’s incredible.” Y/N said, sitting down on the edge of the armchair opposite Eddie. He shot her a smile that didn’t quite meet his eyes before letting out a yawn.
“I was just about to go out and get coffee, did you want some?” Y/N said, and Eddie nodded immediately, prompting Y/N to let out a chuckle as they booth stood up. The walk to the coffee shop was punctuated with small talk and the odd jab at Richie’s expense, and Y/N felt glad that she was getting to know her husband’s childhood best friend.
“Look Y/N, can I be completely honest with you?” Eddie said while they were waiting for the coffee, and Y/N nodded, though she couldn’t help the rising feeling of anxiety that hit her thanks to Eddie’s words.
“I genuinely cannot think of a better person for Richie to be with than you. I have never seen him as happy and relaxed as he was last night, and I can tell that he would probably die for you if it came down to it, and from what I’ve seen, I’m pretty sure you’d do the same.” Eddie said with such a genuine tone that it took Y/N a bit by surprise. The smile on Y/N’s face was so wide, and she couldn’t help but pull Eddie into a brief but tight hug.
“Thank you, and trust me when I say that I know my husband, and I know how much you mean to him as well.”
------------
Never in her wildest dreams did Y/N think she would be in the sewers underneath her husband’s hometown, about to battle a giant, horrifying clown-spider hybrid, but life did always tend to surprise her.
“You wanna play truth or dare? Well you’re a sloppy bitch!” Richie shouted at the monster before relaying a whole heap of other insults. Y/N was standing behind Richie, clutching his hand tightly in both support and utter fear.
Suddenly Richie was silence, and he began to levitate with an unnatural golden glow in his eyes. “What the fuck did you do to my husband you bitch ass clown?” Y/N called, feeling her hand fall out of Richie’s as he continued to ascend. Her chest rose and fell rapidly as she looked up at Richie, hoping and praying to any god that would listen that he made it out alive.
“The deadlights… we have to do something!” Beverly said, looking around at the group for some support. Before anyone could do or say anything, the sound of thundering footsteps alerted everyone’s attention, and suddenly Eddie was launching a pike into the open face of the clown. The hold on Richie was immediately lost and he dropped to the floor with a soft thud.
Eddie and Y/N immediately rushed to him, making sure he wasn’t injured or unconscious. “Richie, I did it! I killed It, Richie!” Eddie said excitedly, full of joy and pride. Y/N gave Eddie a warm smile before turning her gaze to Richie, placing a gentle hand on his cheek.
Richie let out a groan, nuzzling his face into Y/N’s hand as he came back to reality. “You guys… you saved me.” Richie mumbled, and both Eddie and Y/N chuckled lightly.
“Actually Rich, that was all… EDDIE!” Y/N called out, pushing the shorter brunette out of the way. Due to her position she saw that It was in fact still alive, and incredibly angry. It swung one of its claws in their direction, and without thinking Y/N shoved Eddie out of the line of potential injury. The adrenaline was pumping and she didn’t even register what had happened until she felt a searing pain in her abdomen.
“Y/N oh my god!” Richie said, catching her as she stumbled from the impact. All of Richie’s fears were coming true in the form of seeing Y/N wounded and bleeding in his arms.
“Jesus Christ Y/N, you didn’t need to… I could’ve…” Eddie stammered, moving to support her other side.
“Easy boys, tis but a scratch.” Y/N mumbled, starting to feel a little weak but keeping it together for the sake of her husband and his friend.
“Y/N you’re... Jesus you’re almost fucking dying and you’re fucking quoting Monty Python. I know you’re my dream woman but god at what cost.” Richie said, the pitch of his voice raising due to the tears that started to flow from his eyes.
“Rich, if I don’t get out of here.” Y/N said, and Richie made several noises of protest, shaking his head as tears blurred his vision.
“Don’t you say that, Y/N Tozier, don’t you fucking dare say that. We’re getting you out of here. I cannot and will not have you die on my watch, because god forbid if you do, who else am I supposed to love? Who else am I supposed to have a family with? Who else am I supposed to grow old with? I don’t want that with anyone but you, Y/N. Fuck.” Richie said, sobbing openly as he cradled Y/N close to his chest.
Richie didn’t care that he had his wife’s blood staining his shirt and his hands. He just wanted to get her out of here alive and spend the rest of his life with her, like they promised each other they would all those years ago. He wasn’t a religious man, but he was praying to god that he would spare Y/N.
Richie didn’t move from Y/N’s side until they were sure It was well and truly dead. He had used his button up to stop the bleeding, and he just kept talking to her to stop her from going to sleep, but it worked. Carrying Y/N was tricky due to the tight and narrow spaces they had to get through to get out, but they quickly made it to the surface.
“We have to get her to a hospital.” Richie said, holding Y/N in his arms as she let out a groan of pain. That groan sent a knife through Richie’s heart, and he instinctively tightened his grip on her.
“We’re gonna make it, Y/N. I promise.”
 --------------
Y/N awoke to the sound of soft snoring and the incessant beeping of a monitor of some sort. She felt a dull ache in her lower torso, and when she opened her eyes she was met with a fierce brightness that caused her to let out a groan. It was when she started to wake that she felt a weight in her right hand, and she could only guess that it belonged to Richie.
“Rich.” She said softly, her own voice sounding almost alien after having not used it for so long. The soft snores of the brunette opposite her were quickly replaced by a gasp as Richie realised that she was awake.
“Y/N? Oh my god you’re awake.” Richie exclaimed, bringing her hand up to his lips and kissing it a dozen times over. Y/N gave him a weak smile, blushing slightly at the gesture. Even after several years of marriage he still managed to make her blush.
“How long was I out?” Y/N asked, trying to sit up but wincing when she was hit with a rush of burning pain.
“Don’t push yourself Y/N, you might tear some stitches. You’ve been out for about a day. They operated and everything is fine, but you’re going to need a lot of recovery time. You nearly died, Y/N.” Richie said, his voice trailing off as he began to dwell on the events of the past day. Y/N could sense this, and she squeezed Richie’s hand tighter to let him know that she was ok. She didn’t die down there, he didn’t have to worry.
Suddenly they heard the sound of the door opening, and Y/N gave the visitor a half smile. It was Eddie, who came into the room meekly clutching a bouquet of flowers. They were by no means the best and brightest, but Y/N appreciated the gesture.
“Hey man, is she good?” Eddie asked, placing the flowers on a table next to Y/N’s bed.
“She’s awake, thank you very much Kaspbrak.” Y/N said, and Eddie’s face seemed to light up.
“Oh Y/N I’m so glad you’re ok. We were all worried sick, but no one more than Richie. I don’t think he’s left this chair since you got here. I think he nearly fought a nurse when they tried to get him out to do the surgery.” Eddie said, waving his hands about as he spoke.
Y/N went to laugh but stopped when she felt that ache in her torso again, and settled for just smiling at Eddie and squeezing Richie’s hand again. “Thanks Eddie, and Richie I won’t be offended if you leave, at the very least to take a shower. I’m not going to be kissing or fucking my husband if he smells like a literal sewer.”
Richie let out a genuine laugh, as did Eddie, and he shrugged his shoulders before standing up. He groaned at the feeling of tension in his muscles before leaning down to press a kiss to Y/N’s forehead.
“If I head to the hotel and scrub up before coming back here, will I be receiving any kisses?” Richie asked and Y/N smirked as she nodded her head.
“Maybe even a handjob if I’m feeling generous.” She said, and Richie’s eyes widened behind his giant glasses. He threw his head back and muttered a thank you to god before kissing Y/N’s forehead once more.
“You’re the best wife a man could ask for, Y/N. I’ll be back in twenty minutes.” He said, wiggling his eyebrows as he left the room, much to Eddie’s disgust.
“You guys are perfect for each other. Sharp, funny, and gross enough to keep everyone on their toes.” Eddie said and Y/N nodded her head, a loving smile on her face.
“Thanks Eddie. So, is there any reason you decided to stop by and see little old me?” Y/N asked, and Eddie nodded, crossing his legs as he turned to face Y/N.
“I want to say thank you. You saved my fucking life down there, and I’ll always be grateful for that. I know we only just met but I feel like I’ve known you for a lot longer. That could just be because Richie doesn’t shut up about you, but you get what I mean.” Eddie said, and Y/N reached out her hand, gesturing for Eddie to come closer to her.
He stood up and walked to her bedside, and Y/N lightly grasped one of Eddie’s hands. “Eddie, don’t forget that you saved Richie’s life down there. Do you know how goddamn happy it makes me to know that you care so much for Richie that you would risk your actual life? I practically owe you my life, Eddie, so thank you.” Y/N said, and Eddie gave her a smile that seemed to have a bittersweet feel to it.
Eddie went to say something but was cut off by Richie’s sudden reappearance in the room. “I might’ve lied about the twenty minutes part. Turns out I can shower a lot quicker than that. So, Y/N, are you going to be keeping your earlier promise?” Richie said suggestively, strolling over to the side of Y/N’s bed and kissing her on the cheek. Eddie stepped to the side and retreated back to his chair, watching the display with a slightly heavy heart.
Y/N just rolled her eyes, leaning up to kiss Richie for the first time since the sewer encounter. How so much passion and emotion could be contained in one kiss she had no idea, but it almost left her head reeling when they broke apart.
“Ok I can’t let this slide. Richie, I saved your fucking life down there so just saying, I think you should name a kid after me.” Eddie burst out suddenly, and both Y/N and Richie let out a laugh at the exclamation.
“I love you man, but that’s a bit too much. What do you think Y/N?” Richie said, and Y/N simply shrugged, making eye contact with Eddie as she did so.
Little did they know that in another two years they would be in another hospital in a similar set up, except with Y/N clutching little Eddie Tozier in her arms as the two men stared in awe at the beautiful boy, with nothing but joy filling the room.

Nervous <Five>
Chapter 5
Between the motion of the car, the amount of alcohol in her system, and the warmth from Chris and his jacket Lena was fast asleep by the time they arrived to Chris’ house.
“Lena.”  He gentle shakes again. “Lena. We are home.”  As he starts to lift her from the car she finally stirs. She tries to fight him but he holds her firmly to his chest. “Just relax. You are ok. I’m not going to drop you.”
“Ok. Just be careful. Don’t hurt yourself I’m not a skinny mini.”
Chris chuckles and kisses the side of her head his beard gently rubs against her skin. “I won’t drop you. I’ve carried much heavier things than you.  Just enjoy the ride.”
Once they are inside his house he gently places her on the oversized plush gray couch.  He lets Dodger out then joins her in the couch.  She reaches out and strokes his hair and beard playfully, “I like the longer hair and the beard.”  He nods and kisses her finger tips.
With out any prompts she snuggles closer to him and gives him a kiss on the neck while stroking his hair that he had grown out for Infinity War.  He runs his hands up her torso and pulls her closer. “You smell really nice. You know that?”
He pulls his face away from her and gives him a smile, “Well thank you. I can say the same thing about you.”
Lena runs her hand up his chest and takes a deep breath. “I need to change would you mind unzipping me?”  It was an innocent request but the look in her eyes and the way she bit her bottom lip was saying anything but innocent.
She sits up and pulls her ponytail down runs her fingers through her hair and fixes it to her classic messy bun. Chris quickly sat up behind her and slowly unzips her dress.  The cool air from the fabric separating causes goosebumps to raise on Lena’s back. It’s now or never.
In a bold move that Chris never saw coming, Lena lets the dress fall to the ground pooling at her feet. Leaving her in a nude colored strapless bra and lace panties.  She seductively looks over her shoulder to see if was gauging Chris’ earlier reactions correctly.  By the look on his face currently she did a good job and still has it.  Good.
He pulls her back on the couch with him, he lifts her chin up so she has to focus her eyes on his.  She boldly tugs his long hair  down pulling him to her eager mouth. A small moan escapes her causing Chris to groan and flip her on her back.
Chris looks down at her beautiful brown skin and admires the soft curves of her body. He is finally seeing more of her hidden tattoos. His hand travels down the left side of her rib cage landing on the tattoo. “What does that mean?”
She sheepishly looks up at him, “Wakanda forever.”  He smiles when he realizes how much of a nerdy girl she is. While Chris was admiring her body realization hit her like a ton of bricks.  "Please don’t hurt me," Lena stuttered through a few hiccups that hit her briefly, as she ran her hands through his soft dark brown hair.
"I won't," he promised, as he slowly pulled off her nude lace panties. He stared into her face as he slowly traveled down to a particular place between her legs. He could hear her breathing heavily as he slowly licked and kissed his way down her silky smooth body. He finally got to her most private area.  She immediately began to moan and twist underneath his assault, but he held her legs firmly with his arms. He knows she has had a rough year and, now he just wanted her to feel pleasure. To relax.
He swiveled his tongue up and down and in and out of her sweet love nest. “Chris…oh," he heard her whisper, as her legs began to tremble and breathing became erratic. She started coming and twisting in the sheets as he continued to enjoy her.  I might die a happy woman.
When she was done trembling, Chris released her legs and removed his shirt.  He looked down at her beautiful body once again. She is still glistening from whatever lotion Edna had her put on.  She reaches for his belt to return the favor but he stops her hand.  He kisses her hand and says, “Not tonight, this is about you.  I want you to feel relaxed, happiness, and so much pleasure that you might explode.”
“Are you sure?”  She asks in a husky voice.
“I’m positive.  My only real request is that you just stay in my bed tonight with me.”
She quietly observes his face while thinking about his request.  She is digging the beard and the longer hair he is sporting especially with it brushed back.  He looks like a rugged man with his amazingly blue eyes and extremely plump  and kissable lips who by the way his oral sex game is, might make feel like a new woman.  It has been a year plus since she has had any sexual interaction that wasn’t battery operated.
Chris is waiting for her response hoping that he didn’t offend her by stopping her actions, he would love to take her to bed and have his way with her but, he wants her to know that he is and will always be a gentleman.  He gave her much pleasure because she deserves it and he had to admit to himself there is nothing sexier than watching her writher and moan his name.  Her kisses were addictive and filled with so much passion, not to mention her touch made his body feel like he was on fire and he was afraid he wouldn’t last with her the first time.
“I’ll stay with you in your bed but. . . “
“I will respect you and what ever demands you have.  I’ll never overstep any boundaries with you.  But I just want you near me tonight.  Is that ok?”  He gives her the most sincere look that she honestly couldn’t say no to even if she wanted to.
She nods and he kisses her again.  He nips her neck and she squeals as he scoops her up with one arm and throws her over his shoulder.  “Hey!  This isn’t fair!  I agreed to sleep but I don’t need you carrying me.”
Chris gives her a playful swat on her nude booty. “Shhh just relax.  And you said your feet hurt, just trying to help you out.”  He carefully lays her on the bed.  She sits on the edge of the bed as she watches Chris undress, watching him undress was an amazingly sexy strip tease.
He leaves the room, leaving Lena on the bed in one of his gray Henley shirts he handed her.  She looks around the room and feels cozy. Seeing as he was taking so long to come back to bed she decides to remove her make up and pulls her hair down and braids it into a pretty side braid.
Chris comes back in the room with a beer for him and a wine cooler for her. He stops and does a double take as she is sitting in the middle of the bed in his shirt with a small smile.  “I know Edna made you look amazing tonight but you look sexy right now in nothing but my shirt on.”
“Well thank you.” She replies with a blush as she takes the drink from his hand.  “It feels very comfortable.  Trying to keep me buzzed?”
“Nah, just figured the night was still young and no need to stop drinking just yet.”
“This is true.”
********************************************
The rest of the night the two kissed, talked, and drank. True to his word he didn’t have sex with Lena.  However he did manage to make her moan his name a few more times before snuggling her close to him.
His theory was to make her cum so hard and so much that she would be completely exhausted and just sleep soundly and peacefully all night.  By the sound of the tiny snore that escaped her, he had succeeded in making her feel good. He smiles as he brushes a strand of hair out of her face.
Dodger looks over at Chris and wags his tail.  “Whatcha think buddy?  Is she a keeper?”  He whispered to the dog who walked to his side of the bed and gave a few loud barks. Chris quickly jumps up to silence the dog. “Shhh buddy, don’t want to scare her awake.”
He looks over at Lena to make sure she was still asleep, thankfully she was, even though the sound made her jump and she moved closer to him. The chill of the room makes goosebumps on his arms so he pulls the plush comforter over the both of them. He turns off the lights and his alarm so they could both sleep in. This is nice.
********************************************
Lena woke up feeling so well rested she couldn’t remember the last time she woke up feeling that way.  She stretched her arms over her head a small yawn came out and felt wide awake.  Looking around the room she notices that Chris and Dodger were gone. On the night stand was a bottle of blue Gatorade and a bottle of Tylenol. How thoughtfully. Thankfully she didn’t need the medicine but greedily drank the Gatorade since she was so thirsty.
After finishing the Gatorade she finally decides to search out where Chris went to. For someone who didn’t want her to sleep in her own room she figured that he would wait for her to wake up. She walks into the living room and sees her dress still in a pool of fabric on the floor. Seeing and thinking about everything that happened last night and this morning make her blush.
What a night. I hope he doesn’t regret it. Not only was the oral sex amazing just spending time, being held, and genuinely get to know him was great. She walks past her room to the kitchen hoping to find Chris there. Shockingly she doesn’t see him or Dodger there. Assuming he went for an errand she grabs the morning paper off the porch and gets her phone.
She does a quick phone call to her mom to check on Eevee and them. Thankfully everything is ok at home and her mom tells her a few more days and Eevee would be with her so stop worrying so much. Marylea has sent her a few texts that make her chuckle:
Marylea 6:45am: Good morning girlie!  I saw your snap and you look absolutely beautiful!
Marylea 7:06am: Mr. Evans really did something to you if you aren’t already up.
Marylea 8:27am: Omg!  You actually kissed him!! How big is it?
Attached with the last text was a picture of Chris and Lena dancing and in a major lip lock.  They do look beautiful and very happy with each other. I wonder who all has seen this? Before she could totally react, Chris and Dodger come in with a beverage carrier and a brown bag that presumably has food in it.
“Hey!  You are up!  How are you feeling?”  He asks cheerfully as he sets the bag of food on the coffee table in front of her and give her a kiss on the side of the head.
She greets him a warm smile and closes her conversation on her text with out replying mainly because she isn’t sure of what to reply just yet. “I’m actually feel great. I haven’t slept that good in a long time.”  He sits down next to her and she suddenly feels under dressed and bashful because she was still in his shirt.
“I figured you would sleep in for a little bit so I got you a bagel and scrambled eggs with a Chai Latte.  Is that ok?”  He asks feeling oddly calm and relaxed. She nods her head and he looks at her expression. Something is wrong. “Lena, are you ok?”
Lena shrugs her shoulders, no point in hiding this from him. “Well yes and no. Here look.”  She hands him her phone and shows him the picture. “Is this ok?”
He pulls the phone from her hand then looks at the picture and then back to her. “Is what ok?”  Chris was oblivious to the fact that Lena wasn’t use to candid pictures being taken would end up in the press. Also she wasn’t sure if this was part of their agreement.
“Us.  Like I get you wanted a date for a couple functions but . . . “ Lena pauses and looks at him for some understanding before having to explain it all. “Was the picture and last night planned or was it like you maybe being attracted to me. Not to mention when you . . . “ she trails off and looks down at her hands and blushes.
Chris stays silent for a second longer then what Lena would have liked and quickly gets embarrassed then retreats to her room. “Lena!  Come back here.”
Lena lets a few tears fall. He is just using me. She strips down then jumps into the shower trying to wash his scent off of her skin. How could I be so stupid to believe he might have actually liked me. As the hot water washes over her hair and body she lets out a few more tears.  She takes her time and washes and conditions her hair letting it return to her normally curly texture.
********************************************
Chris sits there in shock for a moment or two after Lena had retreated to her bedroom. He likes her a lot, anything done between the two of them is because he genuinely likes her not for the cameras. Unsure of what to do to make things right or to have her understand he goes to her room and waits for her to come out.
“Chris, what are you doing in here?”  Lena asks in a shocked voice. Seeing Chris on her bed was the last thing she expected.
“Well, I live here and we need to talk.” He says with a grin.
“No, we don’t. I over stepped my boundaries and over thought the situation.  I’m sorry.”
He gets up and steps closer to her, instinctively she grabs her towel closer and tighter. Feeling him so close makes her nipples hard for him to touch her like he did last night.  Chris admires her fresh out the shower look; her cheeks and nose are rosy red from the hot shower, her normally straight hair has been replaced with beautiful, black curly hair.
She tried to go around him to get dressed but he blocked her. “No, we are going to talk this out.  I didn’t plan for our picture to be taken last night. Honestly, I had no clue until you showed me.”  He runs his hands down her arms to gain her attention again. “I’m very attracted to you. Last night when you moaned my name as I gave you pleasure I adored it.”
Her eyes went from sadness to pure and utter surprise.  “Really?”
“Yes really. Why did you think I stopped us from going all the way last night?”  Lena shrugs. “I like you but I didn’t want our first time not being like that since I haven’t taken you out in a proper date yet.”
“Ohhh Chris. You are so sweet.  I like you also.” She sheepishly admits.
“So will you finish getting dressed and come enjoy breakfast with me please?” He looks down at her and lightly strokes her cheek.
She leans into his hand and nods. “Yes, just let me finish getting ready.”
“Keep your hair curly. I like it, it suits you better.”
“Can do.” She gives him a quick peck on the shower. “Glad you like it.” He smiles down at her as she playfully shoved him towards the door and locks it behind him. He likes me!  Omg omg omg. What do I do now? She does a small happy dance and continues getting ready for the day ahead.
