"Hello Pearce, I wanted to check up on you about a certain situation with your ex, right? The rumours spread in these halls like plague and I wanted to check what was going on as soon as possible but the duties haven't really let me do it any earlier. Please meet me at the bell tower after 5 o'clock, we can talk about this privately. I'm your friend and I wanna help you out if needed."

Hearing the letter slip under his door, Pearce couldn't help but grow curious. With his lover still embracing him, Pearce carefully wriggled out from the other's grasp. Amadeus was sleeping, momentarily, now was the time to make haste.

Opening the letter, Pearce read the letter before a small frown plastered on his face. Oh no, no, no, no, were they gossiping about him again!? He may as well try to find some salvation. Stuffing the letter in one of his drawers, Pearce crawled back into bed and waited.

"I shall be back soon, dearest." The Inquisitor said before cupping one side of Pearce's cheek. "Behave yourself while I match, do you understand?" With a reluctant nod, the fox was rewarded with a hungry kiss. A whimper escaped his lips before the ginger left. Looking at the time, Pearce opted to the bell tower a few minutes early. Seeing the other before him, Pearce panted quietly.

"S-Sorry... I ran as fast as I could! Y-You wanted to talk...? A-About him...?"

Yknow it's funny how I made Logan in the beginning be more into women rather than men but now he's being shipped only with men with actual issues (Edric might be the only sane one tbh) it's... something!!

Matilda stepped into Edric's room, looking around for abit, she leaned against the wall and sighed. "Logan is somewhat alright.. He just got exhausted from all the matches and work but he'll be fine, thats how it is sometimes for him.." She paused for a moment like if hesitating for a moment to continue. "But i'm not here to just talk about this problem. Shortly said i and Logan haven't talked for over 5 years before we reunited in this manor and he changed. alot. and now i barely know anything about him, what he likes, what hes into other than his work." She admitted with a small embarrassment in her voice, obviously being ashamed as an older sister, barely knowing anything about a brother shes so close to. "And his birthday is in 10 days.. I'm asking you for some kind of help, advice if you could say even. I know that you and Logan somewhat know each other and have alot of things in common, is there anything what he seemed to like or be intrested in other than his work? Or if you don't know yourself.. just tell me who might help me with that. Please Edric." A quite loud knock ringed from Edric's door, and a female's voice sounded from behind it shortly after. "Hello? Is..E..Edric is in here?" The voice asked, the small struggle of spelling the man's name. "It's Matilda, Matilda Horatius! Logan's older sister. Could i... speak with you for a moment? Its about my brother...." She spoke again, her voice becoming more softer as she mentioned her brother. //@idv-ask-the-horatius-siblings TEEHEE

The clock worker perks up his gaze from the desk, looking at the door. Someone looking for him? It better not be Lawrence again. Opening the door, he looks a bit shocked to actually see someone new.. "Ah, yes, I'm Edric himself. A pleasure finally meeting you Matilda.."

He looked sligthly worried by the way she spoke about Logan, He wasn't sure if it was something serious or not. He stepped aside to let Matilda come inside his room. "What about Logan? Is he alright..?"

The pianist pauses for a moment, only staring at the anon for some good seconds before letting a small laugh out, feeling her cheeks turn into a slightly pink color, almost as if a bit shy.

Maybe that timetraveler can help? Y'know Logan Haratius or whatever. He isn't an expert in knives but he can tell alot of diff objects past and story by their state without a sweat. And I'm sure as timetraveler he got smth under his sleeve. He's pretty chill, well... That's how he acts most of the time.

"Logan Haratius?... Maybe he would be better to ask. I don't understand the implications of time travel but maybe I can ask when Emily clears me for release. I hope he doesn't mind a question or two..."

THE HORATIUS SIBLINGS BLOG IS BACK ON WITH UPCOMING NEW CHARACTER, ELENA! For now, it will be Logan and Timey. Older sister, Matilda Horatius and then the oldest brother, Emerson Horatius with his beloved wife Elena Surova will arrive soon enough. Please greet our dear timetraveler while he waits for his family arrival.

Forgive them for their long absence... The family things and responsibilities, they can never catch a break from this bloodline, despite how much they try to run away from it.

"Hello, or may I say bonjour?" A voice sounded behind Lacroix, it was a figure of a man in his 30's, dressed in blue and with an odd eye scar.

"I assume you're Nurse Lacroix? I'm Emerson, Emerson Horatius. I'm sure you're familiar with that last name due to a few ... arguments with my younger siblings and your beloved doctor." Emerson said with a little frown but shook it off quickly.

"I'm not here to make arguments, just a small talk, that's it."

"Ah, Bonjour Monsieur Horatius," Lucy greets with a curtsy to the man before nodding her head. She holds a hand out to the side for a seat at the table she was working at. "Yes, I am indeed Nurse LaCroix. Would you like to sit for a cup of tea? I brew a fresh batch," the nurse offers with a tilt to her head as if smiling to him.

The nurse is quick to start pouring herself a cup as she seats herself. The eldest came for a small talk, interesting but she worried about the context of their conversation and if her husband would be painted in such a bad light. "By all means Monsieur Horatius, what would you like to chat about? I'm more than happy to listen," Lucy says while pouring a cup for Emerson for him to either drink or enjoy the light scent emanating from the tea.

With that, the essence is complete! Thank you so much to those who not only volunteered their ocs for me to draw but also for everyone's patience as I completed the designs. I thoroughly enjoyed developing this essence project and have been pretty excited to share it with you guys for a while!

A Spector masquerades as a man as it tries to put together the perfect recreation of the script.

Character Description: The once-unenthused actor chosen for the role of the phantom. Over the time of rehearsal, it seemed that the actor hadn’t been keen on the choice of role or that she’d gotten in the play in general. Rumors spread she had simply tried out as a joke between her and her friend who was the head of the light crew. However, after a strange event that happened after one rehearsal, they slowly over time started to act more and more akin to their role. While some people shrugged it off as some strange form of method acting, it's hard not to question the drastic change in personality.

Warnings: This character is possessed throughout the entirety of the plot line. They also commit multiple murders, kidnapping, stalking, etc (basically a good chunk of scenes from the play). ·:¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨:·

S Tier: “Christine” - {Ivy Nettle/@manor-tea-time}

3rd in line for the role of the ingenue, it is a wonder she made it to the stage. Bright lights of center stage await them along with a foreboding ghostly presence.

Character Description:

A part of the stage crew that was forced to take up a part of the show after the last understudy quit the production for mysterious reasons. She’s desperately trying to figure out how exactly to not let the show down and to make up for any lost time. However, as more and more incidents occur, the more on edge and freaked out she becomes.

Warnings: This character gets kidnapped and stalked like in the original play.

A Tier: The Vicomte - {Finality/@finality-and-origin}

A talented new actor that appeared out of the framework, starring as Raoul in their debut show.

Character Description:

A sweet soul, albeit anxious for their debut show. Unsure of what exactly to expect from the audience and what they hope to be the beginning of their acting career. As many of the events caused by the phantom occur they start becoming more and more on edge as they question if staying in the production is actually worth it.

A Tier: Primadonna - {Tatya Baudelair/@tatya-time}

A well seasoned actress playing the role of Carlotta. 

Character Description:

While playing the role of a primadonna, they seem to be the furthest thing from it. Often giving small tips/advice to help any of the newer actors/actresses who need it (ex. How to help with stage fright, remembering cues, etc). The main reason she tried out for this show was to support her childhood friend who got the role as Pianji.

Warning: This character gets killed off at some point in the storyline.

A Tier: Aspiring Ballerina - {Bridget Meyler/@candymaker-idv}

Chosen from a local dance studio, this ballerina hopes to plant the seeds to blossom her career.

Character Description:

Playing Meg in the production, this ballerina has more or less put themselves in overdrive to not way down any other people in the cast. Often secretly taking small acting lessons from The Mademe to keep up with everyone else. During the events the phantom causes, she’s one of the first people to put together how the events are following the plot of the play.

A Tier: The Madame - {Rue/@voidproject}

Reprising their role as Madame Giry, this well seasoned actress returns to the stage for a small reunion for her fans.

Character Description:

The Madame is a fairly well-known actress, rumored to be looking towards retirement as their shows start dwindling for a variety of reasons. This rumor seems to be more and more confirmed as they start giving pieces of their acting knowledge to the acting troop’s aspiring ballerina.

A local actor that was chosen for the role of Pianji.

Character Description:

A very passionate local actor who dragged their friend, Primadonna to try out with them for the production. Extremely excited when they both were able to get in as a duo. 

Warning: This character gets killed off at some point in the storyline.

B Tier: Chief of the Flys - {Wayne Strickland/@manor-tea-time}

A local actor who was chosen for the role of Buquet.

Character Description:

An actor, while not much into the acting scene, wanted to support their daughter, one of the background ballerinas. They’re a fairly gentle soul who seems confused at all of the normal theater shenanigans but has the right spirit.

Warning: This character gets killed off at some point in the storyline.

B Tier: Building Manager - {Miss. Silhouette/@manor-tea-time}

“Gossip is worth its weight in Gold”

Character Description:

The building manager is a fairly greedy and money oriented person. During the events caused by the phantom, they insist that the show must go on for the payout rather than trying to keep the actors safe.

B Tier: Stage Manager - {Beth/@ask-idv-baker}

“The show must go on!” seems to be a redundant saying now.

Character Description:

An overworked stage manager who is slowly questioning why they chose to work for the theater. They’re essentially the equivalent of a tired parent who has to kinda deal with whatever the phantom throws at the show.

B Tier: Maestro - {Exile/@oletus-carousel}

A haunting melody echoes throughout the theater as the Maestro plays their song.

Character Description:

A fairly new Maestro to the musical scene, this being their debut show. They’re a fairly eccentric personality who takes every musical cue in the show extremely seriously. After all, they wish everything to be perfect for opening night.

Warning: This character gets killed off at some point in the storyline.

B Tier: Prop Master - {Kitty Nutella/@idv-artists-trio}

The prop master checks through their list. A noticeable amount of props have gone missing.

Character Description:

A secluded and unsociable person, the prop master often sticks to their own world of prop making. The only times that the acting troupe has seen them talk is to clarify certain things to the director before leaving once more. They’re the 2nd person to notice the strange patterns of the phantom.

B Tier: Light Crew - {Alden West/@ask-idv-astronaut}

“Perhaps you can scare a ghost away with a little illumination! Gentlemen!”

Character Description:

An experienced part of the backstage crew, they’re fairly confident in the abilities of the actors and stage-crew. They’re noted to make small jokes of their time in school with the actor that plays the phantom, but overall seem proud of their sudden seriousness they have taken to the role (at least till the incidents occur).

B Tier: Retired Understudy - {Vanadis/@idv-fifis-toybox}

The understudy knew once the strange occurrences started happening that their role wasn’t worth their life.

Character Description:

Known as the real primadonna that was formerly on stage, it was a strange occurrence when they quit the show for reasons she wouldn’t elaborate upon. With no one to fill in her place, she left the stage crew scrambling for someone that could fill in her spot.

Warning: This character was kidnapped and stalked like in the original play. It is also implied that this character was almost killed a few times.

She stops again, probably remembering the rest of the people she had meet until now.

It was silent after her words, perhaps he was processing the Bellringer's words... Or perhaps he was struggling to find a feeble excuse to hide behind. Whatever the case, Pearce's ears lowered before biting his lip. Raising his hands up, the Shepherd's voice shook.

"I know... I know you do! I know ALL of you do..! I know that... he's done horrible things to me, but..."

Was he a victim in all this? Was he enabling his behavior? Pearce didn't know what to do, in fact, what COULD he do? It's not like he can just say no and call it a day... There was more to the story no one bothered to pay attention to.

"He DOES worry about me... God, Matilda, he loves me..! Amadeus may seem like one way to others, but... but you don't understand, I don't think you or anyone else could..."

"He... he tried to save me..."

He hated talking about his game, the violence, the death, the unwanted memories of just trying to survive. Hugging his arms tightly, the Shepherd started to tear up, fumbling his words as he spoke so wistfully.

"We all used to fight... all in the name of our religions... we fought because he divulged in the sin of pride... We were at each other's throats for months over such... fabled manners... We still are..."

"But Amadeus? He put that aside... He wanted to protect me while all I've done is protect myself and hide blood stained hands! He was one of the first to stand up... to make me feel what I lost so long long ago."

"But what he did to Karson...? He brutally took the last of his life... He calls it a mercy after what that boy has been through by that WRETCHED man! He showed no remorse... branded a child a heretic in his book...! All my love seemingly vanished after that incident...!"

"I didn't want to stick around my protector... And I paid the price for it with an arrow to the throat... I never repaid his debts... I never properly thanked him, e-even when he held me as I bled..!"

Moving his hands to his head, Pearce sobbed quietly, murmuring things in his native tongue before keeping his gaze to the floor, ashamed with such a pitiful answer.

"How can I move on from that...? Maybe a part of me feels that I can save him... A part of me feels like it's a need to repay my debts to him... Or maybe I do hold some fondness over him still...? I-I don't know..."

"I don't know what to do... or what to say... All I feel is fear, fear that if I DON'T try anything, e-even if it means putting up with him... e-even if it means suffering for it... But none of you should have to suffer for it, a-and here I go making others worried a-and-"

Scratching his nails into his scalp, the Shepherd could only mumble weak-willed apologies. There was no excuse, he truly didn't know what to do in this scenario, more so handle the situation when it had gotten so out of hand.
