Ppl really need to start talking about Matt's depressive thoughts in 01. Im watching Ep44 rn and listening to him talk about how he feels worthless since t.k. is growing up and 'doesn't need him anymore' is just wow. He talks about how he wants to change and get stronger, etc, so he'll have more value to the team since he believes everyone has evolved in their own ways except for him. He feels bad about always blowing up at people. He feels like the crest of friendship isn't really right because he doesnt think he belongs in the group anymore. I think wondering about your worth and place in the world, or even a smaller group, is something that everyone has questioned at some point or another. It's one of the things I love about digimon. It's very realistic. A lot of kids shows with child main characters don't usually show the flaws in their life. They don't show the affects saving the world over and over again and constantly fighting has on a child like digimon does. I think digimon also has sooo many very angsty plot lines, but nobody really talks about them. Gotsumon and pumpkinmons 'deaths(?)', the dark ocean (surprisingly), Kari getting sick, the several times where the kids are being literally manipulated (like with demidevimon/literally everyone, Matt/Cherrymon, etc). And don't even get me started on tri cause so much shit happened, and it was terrible for the kids, but i never see anyone talk about it. Like the chosen children must be so traumatized from all the years of violence.

Can't get the idea of a sonic storybook game based on little red riding hood where sonic is summoned to play the role of the big bad wolf out of my head

Sonic would be a werehog (the big bad wolf, of course), cream would be little red riding hood, and vanilla would be the grandmother (tho idk if their relationship would actually change). I'm thinking eggman would be the hunter but it could be someone else too. Also there has to be a shahra/merlina type character in there somewhere, not sure what her role would be tho

Sonic knows very well how the story goes (pretty much everyone does) and adamantly refuses to play his role like he's supposed to bc eating someone, then pretending to be them to try and eat someone else, and then getting shot and dying is. Not exactly his style y'know

Still, despite his efforts, things play out like they usually do near the end, with the hunter fending off/(trying to) kill him. I'm thinking he uses silver bullets to incorporate some werewolf lore bc of the werehog thing

Though the story it's based on is relatively simple compared to the arabian nights or arthurian legend, it still ends with someone becoming an eldritch-like being in an attempt to rewrite the narrative somehow

Maybe someone was manipulating the hunter behind the scenes to make him think the big bad wolf was still a bad guy. Or maybe the hunter messed with forces out of his control like eggman usually does in order to get rid of sonic. OR maybe the hunter killed the og big bad wolf before he was supposed to and sonic is summoned basically as a replacement by the new shahra/merlina so the story goes as it's "supposed to", and she gets pissed when it doesn't

Not sure how it would go exactly, but like. It's a staple of the series for it to end like that by this point. Also would be cool if there were more horror elements in general in the game I think. And weird magic shit but I think that's obvious by now

Maybe the first half of the game is just sonic but in the story of little red riding hood, but after everything with the hunter and getting shot with a silver bullet, the second half has him race against the clock to find some way to cure his poisoning and figure out what the fuck is happening. Bc he knows this story and can very clearly tell something is off abt the way things are playing out

Also the new super-esque transformation sonic gains to defeat the final boss has to have some werehog elements in it. I'm thinking like an aura that forms its silhouette around sonic, or maybe like a form that looks like a mix of super and the werehog? Idk

You shrug, flipping through CDs among the shelves, looking for anything you'd be interested in. He nods, looking through the records section with you.

You decided to hit up a random Goodwill you found while passing through the town, wanting to see if you could find anything good. He'd found a thin jacket, colored dark blue with white stripes, with small, white lettering on the front that spelled out certified guitar guy. It was only seven dollars, so he decided it was a need over a want.

He pulls out a few records, looking at the condition of the actual vinyls and the covers to see if the money was even worth it. You continue scanning through the CDs, looking for anything that would grab your eye. After no luck with the music search, you head back to the clothing section since Finn had begged you to. They had the heat, he said.

You couldn't doubt his comment after finding a one of a kind t-shirt though. It originated probably from 2013 or something, featuring a weird picture of MGK on the front, with neon red text that was 100% written by some parasocial fangirl.

Finn holds up his phone camera, snapping a picture of you holding the shirt to your chest, posing with it. He captions it "this Goodwill has the heat" before posting it to Instagram. You quietly laugh it off, searching for anything you'd actually wear.

You end up finding some good clothes, him as well. But there were definitely some honorable mentions. Some of those included a navy blue grandma-core shirt with a drawing of a sun and moon on it, colored a weird shade of yellow. Another pictured a SpongeBob meme, which nearly killed Finn, and you'd found a similar one to that, being a jacket with printed on fabric.

"Who donated their Temu order, guys?" You laugh, holding up the weird jacket and matching fake denim pants to show Finn.

"That's insanely disgusting." He smiles, looking away to not throw up at the sight of the hideous fast fashion.

You hang the two items back up, also not wanting to look at them. You fade into the random decor section, seeing the usual donation items. You cover your mouth to hide a smile before grabbing something, turning around to show Finn.

"Finn..."

it's for an e/r persona 5 au that i never did anything with... these two pieces are the only art i did for it but here's some extra info: - enjolras takes the role of joker here, he's living above a cafe in paris run by valjean and works part-time there - les amis takes the place of the phantom thieves here, though not every member is actually part of the group (i.e. has a persona) - grantaire enters the picture when les amis becomes more well-known; he's extremely skeptical of them and doesn't think what they do will actually have an effect on society in the long run, and constantly debates enj about this (not knowing that he's the leader of les amis). later on he ends up in mementos somehow and enj is the only person around to protect him from the dangers there; this results in him getting almost killed by a powerful shadow and r ends up saving him by awakening his persona and helping him out. idk i know that's a little cheesy but it's the best 15-16 y/o me had (also it's meant to parallel That scene. except they live)

sana: I am a genuine believer that sana is, in fact, gay. during twice private life ep.7 from 2016 you can see sana's boredom. she barely talked at all which is very unusual. when she did it was usually very basic stereotypical stuff (e.g. saying her ideal date would be "going on a walk, riding a bike..." it seemed like she was just throwing out ideas from her tone. she also never brought up her hypothetical "boyfriend" during the activites while other members such as jeongyeon did). Binged your work during Christmas and im really thankful for your stories and already excited for your fix it.

S4 pissed me off so much and aside from the obvious reasons I really hated the fact that they used jj’s depression as a way to make him seem “unlikable” idrk why they did that maybe they thought it was in character or maybe to make the viewers think “good riddance” when they kill him off but either way it makes me so much angry because even when they brought john b to “help” him they painted jj as the bad guy and made everyone act annoyed at him until he finally “snapped” out of it - and even when he did it was because he was so done with himself like jj saying shit like “enough of this shit” makes me so uncomfortable and i know the show is trying to showcase alcoholism and self distancing as bad coping mechanisms but it still felt so off because at the end of the day they are still coping mechanisms and nobody validated jj depression or feelings not jj himself not john b when he tried to cheer him up and certainly not kie and any of the other characters.

The season delivered so many bad messages like the typical “child abuse victims don’t get a happy ending” and “suicidal characters ends up dead and sacrifice themselves for the others” and “depression is okay but not until you show its ugly parts” and I don’t think they realize that yes while the viewers are mad because they killed off a fan favorite and ruined the found family vibes but also because there were so many harmful messages in the show.

Anyway it makes me miserable thinking about it but after reading your fixs, scrolling through your tumblr and reading all of your sneak peeks (this makes me sound like a stalker lol i swear im not) i know your fix it gonna give all said points the justice it deserves so i just wanna finish off with saying an early thank you and that im super super excited

I'm glad you found some fics you enjoy! I have had such a hard time with season 4 and finding community while we work through it has been important to me.

I'm wordy, so I'll put a cut here.

I don't know if the writers were actively trying to make us HATE JJ. I'm more of the mindset that they just did a really bad job of writing. I figure Rudy probably did ask to leave and they changed the plot like last minute -- and it showed. The dropped storylines, the way JJ's story built -- to nothing. I mean, almost nothing started to make sense by the end of it, and you can see the architecture of what I think they were originally TRYING to do (with the Genrette curse and Goat Island, and even JJ's rock bottom to being the hero) and most of the bad writing could have been forgiven IF JJ had come out on top.

The fact that the died, though, really just made the whole thing weirdly cruel. Like you said, it reinforced a lot of negative messages, about people who have been through what JJ's been through, and who struggle with depression and suicidal ideation, as he clearly was at the end there. Because even the whole part where he snapped out of it in the finale is painfully obtuse. You can't have a character wishing he were dead -- and then suddenly be fine. It screams mental illness, and you won't ever convince me that JJ didn't die badly depressing -- thinking he deserved it.

And I love the Pogues -- I do -- but the way they were written was just horrific. Their complete lack of regard for JJ was wildly out of character, IMO. The fact that no one even asked how JJ was after everything he went through -- I just have to think is stunningly bad writing and editing. It doesn't make sense otherwise and it doesn't fit with anything else we've seen from this show.

Hence why I don't hold to any of it.

That said, JJ's death still hurts me very much, so I'm looking forward to diving head-first into the fix it now. I'm juggling multiple fic projects at once, but the fix it is at the top of my list. LOL, I currently have five fics sketched out for it -- and just today came up with the possibility of a whole second set of fics that I'm kind of excited about to take the story even further. Essentially, if I can keep myself writing, this could be a very long series of fics.

I feel like Travis wouldnt be "Shy" when he is trying to be nice I feel like he would just sound agressive when he speaks if that makes sense. Idk why everyone just got the idea that Travis (after the bathroom scene in episode three) would just become shy or quiet. Like he was loud and not shy when he was bullying sal but all of a sudden he become shy and anxious?!?! that makes no sense to me. Also I am not trying to say that you cant write travis like this because in reality he was only in the game for like a few minutes but idk its just something that bugs me for some reason. I dont really care if you see travis like this btw live your truth king (or queen or wtv idrk) I am just saying in most salvis fics I have read travis is always just so....not travis lol. like yuuta and megumi are in the middle for being jelous, protective, and possessive, but it’s not equal. yuuta comes across as much more protective and possessive than jealous, but he still shows jealousy. megumi is closer to jealousy than possession, but he still has all the qualities. similarly, levi/nanami are in just the protective loop, but that doesn’t mean they’re incapable of jealousy, it’s just not their defining trait yk

Dustox feels almost obligatory to me atp, and Dipplin is there bc of the poison apple. The rest are there for the queen aspect of Vil’s character, tho I def considered the poison aspect too. And, side note, but his Gardevoir is definitely a male one.

Decidueye is another obvious one, as it’s a bird archer, kinda like Rook! (Rook, as in the bird.) (Also I’m just now remembering that I was thinking about giving him a Bisharp to reference the rook chess piece, but it’s not that important. Oh well) Vivillion bc it just feels like a Rook pkmn, and it’s the “High Plains” form bc Rook’s from Sunset Savanna. Zoroark is there bc I wanted a pkmn that could blend into the background like Rook could (*cough cough* stalker *cough cough*) so, Zoroark. Leavanny bc Rook is also very like, nurturing, if that makes sense. Similar vibes 👍 Swoobat bc again, it just reminded me of him, then finally Pheramosa bc I wanted Rook to have an odd pkmn. One that makes you go, “why tf do you have that?” And Ultrabeasts are a good type of pkmn for that idea. I also wanted Rook to have at least one fighting type, again for the archery thing and bc he used to be in Savannaclaw, but Pheramosa also just slays, so it’s a good Rook pkmn

For Epel, I honestly wanted to give him every single applin evo (Flapple, Appleton, even Hydrapple) but that’d take up to many slots, so he only gets Flapple. Buneary is due to his connections with bunnies in canon (this card is proof of that!) so I wanted to give him a bunny pkmn too. I feel like his buneary has been one of his oldest partners, but he doesn’t want a Lopunny, so he gave his Buneary an everstone. I feel like part of his character development would be letting Buneary evolve :). Frosmoth is cause he’s from a cold area, and I just thought it fit him. Croagunk is a poison/fighting type, and both of those are very Epel-like to me. Varoom is another poison type, but also Epel likes blastcycles, so I thought it fit. (I also realized that I should’ve given Deuce a Cyclizar, tho I’m not sure who I’d switch out, oh well) Dubwool is there mainly to fill out the rest of his team lol (maybe I should’ve given him an Applin-)
