Dear Dream Maker,

Thank you for your love and support for Life Makeover. Since the preparation and testing of PC version, we have been welcomed by great passion, valuable suggestions, and remarkable feedback from you. Thank every Dream Maker for your trust, attention, and expectation that motivate us to keep optimizing the PC version and bring you better experience in the world of Life Makeover.

Now, we are thrilled to announce that the PC version will be officially launched on Oct. 9, 10:30! You will be able to download PC version from the official Life Makeover website!

Brand new ultra large screen with better visual effects and easier PC operations in the vast and lively Life Makeover world will surely bring you optimal game interaction experience and more life-like dreamy views in game. Please allow us to walk you through featured contents and optimizations in PC version:

1. Upgraded overall image performance

In the coming PC version, we have made comprehensive technical upgrades in terms of reflection quality, resolution, frame rate, overall lighting, DOF, shadow quality, anti-aliasing, anisotropy, plush material, sharpening intensity, multi-player display, and many other image performance, so that we can bring you impeccable gaming experience.

(1) Great improvement in reflection quality

We optimized the reflection quality in the world of Life Makeover, especially the reflection effects on mirrors, glass, and pure metal. Characters and surroundings will be reflected more clearly and naturally. For example, when you look into the mirror on PC version, you will see realistic and fine-tuned scene reflections like in the real world; Metal materials will have more life-like metallic sheen under the light, bringing the whole view to a higher level.

(2) Raised resolution cap

In horizontal mode, HD 4K resolution is now supported on PC version. To improve the artistic performance in advanced image quality, we have especially optimized the artistic effects in high resolution. We’d like to recommend you to try out the horizontal mode for a more lively and realistic world.

(3) Screen refresh rate optimization

We have optimized the PC version’s screen refresh rate to bring you more natural and smooth character postures, scene transitions, and fashion dress-up. High frame rate mode is available in PC version on all device models, and you can custom the settings according to your device configurations.

(4) Overall lighting optimization

We have optimized overall lighting module in Home system on PC version to simulate real world lights when scattering, reflected, refracted, and transmitted to the best possible extend. The lights will be more gentle and natural, creating a romantic and beautiful visual effect.

(5) DOF switch settings

DOF allows objects with different distances in the game scene have different clarity and blurriness, thus forming a visual effect of different distances and strong sense of dimensions, as well as a sense of depth in the scene. On PC version, DOF switch is added in settings for you to choose whether or not you want the DOF effect at Home and Wardrobe.

(6) Improved shadow quality

In PC version’s Home, we have optimized the display of shadow effect according to the shape and position of different models, direction of light, and intensity of light. This helps to create a realistic shadow effect: shadows display their every detail under the light, with their colors changing accurately with the intensity and color of the light. You can adjust the shadow quality according to your needs.

(7) Anti-aliasing optimization

We have made abundant optimizations to the anti-aliasing effect on PC version. Brim of characters, fashions, furniture will be much more smooth whether tried in game real time or shot with camera. Paired with high resolution images, the world in Life Makeover has never been so clear, visible, and soft.

(8 ) Anisotropy quality improvement

Anisotropy filtering technique is usually used to optimize game image rendering, especially when observing perspective changes or zooming away from the camera, the technique can reduce object surface texture distortion. Improving anisotropy can significantly enhance the texture effect for in-game scenes, Home ground surface, and item materials. You will even be able to sense the realistic texture details on the bricks and tiles in the distance in the delicate Life Makeover world.

(9) Plush material quality improvement

We’ve made major optimizations to plush material with advance rendering technique to make it more life-like and lively. Every detail on plush items in game will be better presented, including their colors, sheen, and texture. The plush on outfits will be clearer, more fluffy, and more airy; the plush on carpets will also look more delicate to make you feel like in the real world.

(10) Sharpening intensity settings

To better present in-game details and enhance image quality, we’ve added sharpening intensity settings on PC version. You can adjust the game image sharpening intensity based on your preference.

(11) Multi-player display in Home

Thanks to the performance advantage on PC version, more character models with high definition can be displayed in Home, making multi-player interaction possible. Come and have fun with your friends in Home!

2. Realistic weather system added in Home

In the coming realistic weather system, you will be able to see weathers including Blizzard, Heavy Snow, Snowy, Heavy Rain, Thunderstorm, Cloudy, and Sunny, each one with fine-tuned wind power and surrounding sound effect. Moreover, there will be weather-exclusive scene interactions for you to explore.

On a snowy day, Home surroundings will be covered in snow, and you will also leave footprints when waling on the snow. Stop in the snow scenery and spend some time zoning out, you will also find yourself rolling and throwing snowballs like a kid.

On a rainy day, rainfalls outdoor will make splashes and ripples on the ground, or leave traces when dropping on the glass windows. If you step in the rain and open an umbrella, you will be able to see rainfalls bouncing on the umbrella. You can also use different umbrellas in your collection.

On a windy day, dress hem and tresses will sway with the wind, and it is the time for dresses with large hems to shine. Whether it’s clear day breeze or blizzard day gusts, the wind effect will make you feel like in the real world. Dressing up in suitable outfits for different weathers will also be fun. You can also adjust the wind power and direction when taking photos in Home. Mild breeze or strong wind, you make the call.

On snowy days when temperature drops, you will be able to see your breath. Sound effects of the wind and the rain will surely make you feel like going back to your cozy house and wait for a sunny day to come.

3. Multiple dynamic point light system

Thanks to the strong performance on PC version, multiple dynamic point light system is made possible, which allows you to place lights in Home freely and set them all as illuminating lights. Create fabulous lighting effect with the new point light system in your Home!

Meanwhile, we’ve significantly increased the upper limit of lights in PC version, where you can place up to 256 lights. More lighting details are awaiting!

4. New Home UI operations

We’ve designed a new set of user-friendly Home UI operations for PC version, where you can use the keyboard and mouse to move the character and the camera, and use the mouse to control furniture, such as placing, adjusting direction, copying, and removing. In addition, shortcuts are added in PC version, with which you can open function panel, skip story lines, and roll down lists quickly.

5. Photo Mode with more freedom and clarity

(1) HD Photo Mode

The HD Photo Mode on PC will greatly enhance the image definition. Each photo you take can be as clear as the wallpaper.

(2) Custom weather/wind power/wind direction in Home Photo

To make the world in Life Makeover more immersive where you can create scenes according to your preference to take better photos, we have also added custom weather/wind power/wind direction in Home Photo function. You can select from weathers including Blizzard, Heavy Snow, Snowy, Heavy Rain, Thunderstorm, Cloudy, and Sunny, and custom wind power and wind direction in each different weather.

When it rains, raindrops falls on the roof and the window, leaving marks from the sky; when it snows, crystal snowflakes pile up on your roof. You can hear the sound of your steps on the snow, and admire the beautiful world in white; when it’s sunny, sunlight will cast through the window, and you can make a delicate afternoon tea at home or simply bask in the sunlight. Whether it’s gentle breeze or strong wind, you will always be able to create your desired photo scene!

Currently, we have completed the switch function of horizontal and vertical screen in Home and Photo Mode on PC version. We will continue to work on the switch function for the whole game to bring you better fashion experience. Data on PC version and mobile version (Android and iOS) are shared, so you can pick up your favored device to try out the unique and fantastic world in Life Makeover!

hi feel free not to answer this but you're one of the only chronically ill people i know and i probably need to get my blood drawn because i am having Many Issues but i am. super afraid of needles. so basically the question is are needles that draw blood like,, really big? do they hurt a lot? sorry this is probably a dumb question im just terrified auhfguhgahhf

No worries! And in my experience, no not really! My blood draws never really hurt; it's about the same feeling like if your leg falls asleep pins and needles sensations, but only for a split second when the needle comes in and out. If done correctly, you won't feel anything during the actual process, maybe just a bit dizzy & numb. It may sting for a while after the draw (mine still does) but it's really really minor, you probably won't even notice it much. It may also bruise; it's pretty normal too.

The size of the needle varies, though, so here's a word of advice: search out for a more modern, accomodating hospital/lab, and a nurse who works with pediatrics patients, if you can (regardless of your actual age, they are just chiller about anxious people in general imo). Fear of needles is super common and is absolutely nothing to be ashamed about (I actually do well with blood draws but I'm Not Good with IVs and injections, the latter ones moreso than the former), so there is a solid chance they can accommodate you by using a smaller needle or/and local anesthetic (thought I think the last one is... Rarer. My dentist did it, but that man is a force of his own. I don't know how many of his practises are like... Normal).

Getting a good nurse that puts you at ease is so, so important. I cannot overstate it. I don't mean to make this sound bad but I can't lie either, if they mess up, can't find your vein, or just generally suck & rush you & make you feel stupid for asking for accomodations, get up and Leave. Because messed up draws do hurt (not too much, though! I'd say it's comparable to like... Accidentally biting your tongue kinda hurt). I only had one bad experience and I never went to that nurse again.

In general though: the needle probably isn't as big as you think it'd be, it's smaller than the injection ones usually, and you can ask for a smaller one; it doesn't hurt! Actually when I first got my blood drawn from my vein at 10 or so, I was like, wait, that's it? Because of a stupid policy my hospital usually only took blood from the fingertips for kids (don't ask. I don't get it either), and oh god, that hurt Much More than the "adult" one. I was so relieved after being scared out of my mind three minutes earlier. You don't have as much sensation in that area as you for in your fingertips, so if you ever had a papercut and want to compare: papercut hurts more & for longer than the blood draw does.
