Hey, my family's in a really rough spot right now. We're just barely scraping by. I had to leave my job due to my disabilities, and my mom is currently on injury leave from work and hasn't been paid since June (Thanks, Federal workmans comp)

So right now we're unfortunately a 3 adult household with 0 income. I'm applying every day but finding jobs that are accessible is nigh on impossible, and the physical therapist says my mom is out of work until at least October. My younger brother is in the process of applying for food stamps and SSDI but unfortunately SSDI is a long process and he hasn't even received his first rejection yet.

If you can spare anything to help us out, it'd mean the world, and if not if you could share this around <3

Don't laugh at people or mock people who are "childish". People are allowed to like things that are considered "childish". Toys, kids cartoons, anything like that can be a valuable source of comfort for the people who like them. It's important to have things in life that make you happy, and without them it gets miserable. Wether that thing is stuffed animals or cooking or writing lyrics, what's important is that others don't ridicule and belittle them for it. There shouldn't be such judgement for the things that make people happy.

The first time Steve goes to Eddie and Wayne’s trailer, he tells Eddie that he likes how cozy it is. Eddie shoots him a dirty look before turning to go straight to his bedroom, no doubt thinking that his tentatively new friend meant it in the same way he’s heard other rich people use that word- when they think a place is small and cramped, but don’t want to look bad by saying what they truly mean.

Meanwhile, Steve barely notices the reaction, too caught up in thinking about how lonely it is in his parents’ big, empty, sterile-feeling house. How it looks as though it’s from a catalogue- nice but impersonal, with little indication that anyone even lives there. How he wishes it was instead like the trailer he was standing in- not just a house, but a home.
