Swap AU Huskerdust <3

I did the sketch for this immediately after getting that ask about what I shipped in this AU. I finally got some time to finish it!!!

Here's some random swap au huskerdust thoughts:

I touched on it a little bit in the last post but because Husk works a lot he doesn't have the time or energy to pick apart Angel's mask and decide he wants to get to know the real him like in canon. So they end up staying in the 'enemies' arc of their enemies to friends to lovers slowburn a lot longer lmao

When they finally become friends it's because both of them slowly and steadily worked toward being kinder to each other.

After a long time of being mostly indifferent to each other after their rocky start, Husk notices that Angel hasn't actually been pushing his boundaries like he used to. During one of Alastor's activities, he sees that Angel actually goes out of his way to make sure he doesn't cross them.

A bit later, when he goes to the bar, instead of barging in and grabbing a bottle or making his own drink, he actually sits down at it. Angel, who had been cleaning glasses, just looks at him in surprise.

"The princess told me you've been practicing. Think you can make a decent drink yet?"

Angel grins. "You offering to be my taste tester?"

The drink Angel puts together is pretty great. A bit too sweet for Husk's taste, but it wasn't bad. He tells Angel as much, and the smile he receives in return is enough to convince him to continue to taste test anything else Angel tries making in the future.

As he took in the photograph, Sokka sat next to him in silence. His hand was clutching the ring around his neck again in his fist, pressing it close to his mouth as he peered over Zuko’s shoulder to look. Zuko turned to him to compliment the picture and saw a sad fondness lingering in his eyes."

She smiled at him once she realized he was awake.

"Can we have pancakes?" She asked shyly, hiding her mouth just below the edge of the bed as she looked up at him with hopeful eyes.

That look was going to be dangerous for him later on, he could aready tell.

"Sure thing, Izumi, just let me sleep for five more minutes, mkay?" He asked as he shut his eyes again. He was exhausted from last nights events, and the sun had barely risen. How did Zuko do this?"

"“Sokka I really think you need to take a moment and-”

“I am fine Aang, I don’t have time for a feelings talk right now. Right now I need to find the fucking chief of this damn place.” His words came out harsher than he meant, but he didn’t have the time to dwell on that.

Before Sokka could run off again to continue his search, a hand grabbed his arm. One of Arnook’s advisors, Malina, had started dragging him towards the podium.

“Do you not realize how late you are for this Sokka? The ceremony was supposed to begin with your speech nearly an hour ago-” she hissed at him as she pulled him along through the crowd.

“Malina I’m sorry but I really need to speak with Arnook it is urgent-”

“This damn speech of yours is what’s urgent right now Sokka, you can speak with Arnook later but the guests are getting antsy so you need to give your speech right. Now.”

“But-”

“Now.”

Maline shoved Sokka towards the podium and suddenly all eyes were on him. Every guest in attendance had their focus solely on Sokka."

I've never really explored this unfortunately BUT:

Ned internalizes a lot of his issues because he feels like his problems aren't as big as those of his friends. After Peter becomes Spiderman, Ned sometimes feels like he's putting more effort into their relationship than Peter is, but they eventually get better at communicating their feelings to one another.

Daichi is a gentleman ofcourse he would help you gather the books. Suga and Asahi was with him too, which made the cleanup much more faster.

The trio was about to head to their respective classrooms, but suga noticed something on the corner of his eyes and picked up a black sketchbook.

They knew it wasn't a typical notebook because the cover was sort of like soft leather??? Damn it felt expensive.

Sugawara quickly found your name written at the bottom center and read it out loud.

"Isn't she from class 3-A?" Asahi asked them, they nodded in reply.

All of the 3rd years knew each other's names, despite never talking or interacting.

The bell rang, lunch break was over.

"Guess she's going to be late because of us. " Daichi chuckled, though guilt was evident.

"Aaand that is why you are the one who is gunna return that to her, personally." Suga smiled before shoving the notebook to Daichi's chest and darting towards his classroom.

Asahi is gone too???

Daichi sighed and went back to his own classroom.

The period turned out to be a study hall since the teacher didn't bother to show himself. There isn't really anything to study anymore tho?? They had exams just last week???

Bored Daichi decided to flip through your sketchbook and found himself at awe and intrigued each time he flipped a page.

He quickly learned that you were into action mangas. Each page was littered with dynamic poses. Though there were some full illustrations here and there.

When he got to the last page with a drawing he CLOSED IT BY ACCIDENT BECAUSE HE WAS SURPRISED.

Kinda what it sounds like tbh. I just wanted Iorveth getting high and admiring Roche’s body and then Roche decided to be a tease. At some point, I assume there will be sex.

Angst: Sex object Roche

Iorveth’s POV of realizing that Roche hurts himself whenever he flirts at Iorveth. Premise is that Roche has been groomed (intentionally or not) by Foltest to be his. So when he feels attraction towards Iorveth, he needs to be punished. And obviously Iorveth helps him learn that no, that’s not okay and idk recovery???

Midwinter Feast

This idea was 100% spawned by me trying to write holiday fics, but Foltest hosts a Midwinter Feast where they close the city for 12 days, leaving Roche to get along with the Nonhuman/Scoia’tael(ish) delegation during that time. Also, Foltest might be using the feast as a delaying tactic to resupply his army. I legit have no idea where this is going, I just thought the idea of Roche and Iorveth stuck at a feast for 12 days was funny.

Solstice Feast aka To Birth a Verdant Future

This was actually an xmas gift for @lutes-and-dandelions, but I havent finished it yet 😓 But the premise is similar to the former in that it’s another solstice feast. But it’s set post-W3 with Emhyr as Emperor throwing a party in the new conquered capital of Vizima. Roche broods a lot about Foltest’s memory and how he hates Emhyr and decides to distract himself by hanging out with Iorveth and suggesting they follow an old elven tradition. And that’s all I’ll say. XD

Next Year (Solstice Feast sequel)

Literally set the next year. This time they merge their lives by merging their people’s traditions.

Lily Preserved in Amber

Okay, haven’t gotten very far in this, but I decided it was an elven rite of passage to go searching through the forest for a sign of your future. And Iorveth finds a piece of amber with a lily preserved inside. I haven’t decided if it purely means Roche or if it means his whole family with Roche and Boussy and Anais and all. So far, he hasn’t even found the amber yet lmao. But he did just discover music!

Moonlight’s working on an adorable piece where Roche leans his forehead against Iorveth’s back between his shoulderblades. I decided to make it post-W3 with both of them working as paper pushers/administrators under Emhyr’s Temeria. And Nilfgaard does not believe in chairs with backs (or, really, Emhyr wanted to see how long Roche’s pride would make him suffer. It’s a long time). The idea is to show development over time as they slowly get more comfortable with touch and start using each other as backrests. And then the sweet scene Moonlight is drawing.

Next is Iorveth’s POV, but I legit cannot figure out where to start. But we’re gonna see some of his thoughts (like how Eliza volunteered him to stay in Vizima for an unspecified period of time and he said yes even though he can’t and now has to commute regularly because he doesn’t want to miss tea with Roche but also doesn’t want Roche’s spies to catch on lmao) and his curiosity about Roche and Foltest and what Roche’s mission is (which I... totally know.)

Roche’s Scars

@moonlights-ordinance sent me a great pic of a mod for Roche where he had some pretty vicious scarring/mutilation. So of course I decided I needed to tell the story of each one. But really, it’s a story about the stages of acceptance with scars. Both Iorveth and Roche start out hiding theirs, but eventually come to reveal them comfortably in public.

Vernon Roche of the Scoia’tael aka The Value of a Man

Does my title give it away? Oops? So, this is a found family fic where Roche is captured by the Scoia’tael and the elves and dwarves slowly come to see him as - well, I was gonna say human, but as a person, I guess. And start feeling really, really guilty, especially when some not great things happen to Roche. 

Oh also, Foltest is a giant dick and uh, SPOILERS he does not try to get Roche back. Which leads to a whole subplot that will end with a found family for EVERYONE, because they all deserve to be happy dammit.

All of that was just one document lmao. I have 24 documents, some of which have quite a few WiPs in them. 😱

When I got the idea for How to Fluster an Elf, I decided it was gonna fill the prompt dammit. And then it really, really expanded on me.

Roche dreams occasionally that Iorveth visits him and watches over him and sometimes speaks, but he can’t understand Elder Speech, so he assumes it’s all gibberish.

Okay, I literally just need to buckle down and write some good kissing. This is set in (Im)Perfect Strangers and Iorveth is pouting about them leaving the gardens, so Roche makes it up to him.

This one won’t actually be published with the kisses ‘cause it’s porn and the rest are T-rated lol. Buuuut Roche and Iorveth are trying to have a secret liaison in the forest when the rain starts. Featuring nature magic, tentacles, and Iorveth getting filled.

Scenes from Another World (aka AU premise)

Old Men in Vergen

Set during Witcher 3, but with an established relationship. Roche comes to visit Iorveth in Vergen to ask for advice on leading an insurgency. Iorveth just wants to feed Roche while he can now that he’s not the one starving in the woods.

Language Aphasia/Deal with the Devil

I wanted to write Gaunter! So I decided that Gaunter is in a mood for some mischief (he calls it being generous) and comes upon a traveling Vernon Roche who wishes that he could be understand Iorveth. Then Iorveth’s Scoia’tael find a passed out Roche in the woods and bring him to Iorveth for judgement. Only somehow, Roche only understands Elder Speech now. He can’t understand Common at all. The Scoia’tael find this very offensive and Iorveth is mostly freaked out that someone who can do THAT was wandering around his forest.

Bunk Beds: The Portrait of Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon

Based on a silly comic, Ciri convinces Iorveth and Roche to try to help her destroy the portrait. Geralt gets pissed and sends them to Bunk Bed Exile. Shenanigans ensue and somehow they start to get along.

Iorveth’s Scoia’tael Giving Him Shit For His Taste in Men aka The Lovestruck Fox

Right now, working on a piece from the POV of a new Scoia’tael recruit who is discovering that Iorveth’s Scoia’tael roast the fuck out of him over his crush on Roche. 

Speaking of, anyone have suggestions on prime roast material? I am not this creative.

Let’s Torture Roche!

No, really. This one is pretty dark. And told in kind of a different style than my usual, because I felt like it. So, premise is that Iorveth and Roche were a thing in the past, but then Roche was recalled to Foltest’s side and he went. So Iorveth is understandably pretty hurt and pissed (this was decided for a prompt of someone breaking down as soon as they’re behind closed doors). Buuut what he doesn’t know is that Roche is not with Foltest of his own volition. Hostages, blackmail, and torture are all involved and Foltest is a pretty horrible guy. But of course we need a happy ending, so eventually, Iorveth will rescue Roche and they get to recover together.

Life Debt aka Iorveth is an Asshole

The concept for this was that Roche saved Iorveth’s life and now that they were no longer enemies (set during Witcher 3), his honor demands that he follow Roche around until he can repay the favor. Featuring Iorveth being a trolling asshole, correcting the new Temerian Loyalist’s fighting abilities, and Roche being very, very tired. 

In application, it’s mostly angst so far, ‘cause I had to set up HOW Roche saved Iorveth’s life. And then I decided to really hurt Iorveth. But tbh I will probably skip ahead after establishing this stuff, because I just want shenanigans.

King and Country

I’ve got several WiPs for this one, including the Stripes’ recruitment, their decision to change sides, the Stripes being double agents, and of course, Iorveth and Roche’s developing relationship. But hey, I’ve skipped ahead to writing their wedding already, so... you know it ends happily ever after?

Friday Fight Night for Jan 29 (which I did not make oops)

So, this actually turned into a long piece that’s gonna be part of my Chronic Pain series. Basically, King Foltest is treating with the leaders of the Scoia’tael in Temeria and Iorveth is one of them. Unfortunately, he’s having a REALLY BAD pain day, but he’s also determined to be there to represent his people. Roche helps him see sense. Possibly forcefully.

Exhaustion Prompts

Iorveth and Roche are trapped in a dream and I got a little stuck creating the creature that trapped them there. But pretty sure Saskia is gonna interrupt their flirting by saving them.

In which Roche has a heart attack from too much coffee. Yeah. He’s okay, though! But PT is about to blow a gasket and coffee will very much be disallowed.

Ooof I’ve got a lot of bits and pieces of this written, but nothing quite finished, except for the moment when things change from “we flirt as I order coffee” to “I make you special drinks and invite you to come visit me after hours”. Writing a canon coffeeshop au when I know shit all about coffee is HARD.

Omg this is one of the first WiPs I started for Iorveth/Roche, no joke. STILL WORKING ON IT! The premise is that Roche finds a feverish and dying Iorveth in an empty Scoia’tael camp, saves him with the power of True Love’s Kiss The Power of Strong Emotions, Like That Which You Might Have For Your Enemy. Then they team up to go save Iorveth’s Scoia’tael from a big bad mage and Roche invites Triss along for the ride, which totally doesn’t make Iorveth jealous. I kinda stalled out at the part where they reach the mage’s hideout and see the results of the mages failed experiments. On Iorveth’s people. It’s gonna hurt. A lot. But afterwards, there might be makeouts. And some sort of implication that they’re all down to do this (minus the horrible, traumatic parts) again.

Roche POV bloodplay

Roche’s POV starting from before his first encounter with Iorveth. Then he has a weirdly sexually arousing encounter with the elf, and tbh, that’s as far as I got. But Iorveth draws blood from Roche’s neck, presses his thumb to it, and then licks it off his thumb. Next, Iorveth was gonna be the one getting Uncomfortably Aroused, but I haven’t gotten that far. No idea where this is going overall.

Premise is that Iorveth and Roche are both investigating their missing men and the trail takes them to the Murivel Resort for Couples. So they go undercover. Featuring Roche’s POV of being doubtful, Iorveth using the excuse to flirt outrageously, strip gwent, and a magic amulet that hids Iorveth’s scar and that Roche hates.

Competitive Makeouts AKA The Chase

This was kissing practice and it turned into a casefic! Which is awesome because I love casefics even though I haven’t published any yet. So in this one, as Iorveth and Roche sneak off to makeout, they also end up investigating a conspiracy in the Temerian military.

In which Roche accidentally walks in on Iorveth’s monthly fuck date with the Kayran and gets invited to join in. Then, somehow,  it starts to turn into a relationship. With an elf and a tentacle monster. And yet, somehow, this relationship is healthier than the one with Foltest. The contrast opens Roche’s eyes.

In which Iorveth stabs Roche with his favorite knife and wants it back and is also maybe pining a lil bit. Meanwhile Roche is rather pissed, but also curious and begins to teach himself Elder Speech to try to read the inscription on Iorveth’s knife. I stalled out in the scene where Iorveth accidentally watches Roche masturbate in the bath.

This is set post Witcher 2 while Geralt, Triss, Roche, and Ves are headed back to Temeria. So, Chapter 4 is set post-Witcher 2 and Iorveth is obsessing over the fact that the Rose of Remembrance still has not wilted. He wonders what might be possible, so when he hears a rumor that a certain Temerian Commander was taken captive by Dethmold...

Dethmold most definitely dies. But unfortunately, that doesn’t save Roche from the curses he cast. So they go looking for Geralt to find out how to fix it.

Ugh, I lost my momentum on this one, which sucks, ‘cause the next chapter is so close to done. Iorveth just needs to do a little freaking out first. But then they will both be back to adults and have to DEAL with the fact that they made good friends and would kinda like that again. I think this fic is gonna be purely friendship for them, but they’re gonna get there.

A fic for the @sugar-and-spice-witcher-bingo where Roche hears a rumor that some Scoia’tael go to this brothel on the outskirts of town and hey, he may as well check it out, right? By going undercover and working the glory hole, of course. He never ACTUALLY expected Iorveth would come, but his legendary mouth was enticing enough to draw the Scoia’tael commander out.

The Better Part of Valor

Ugh, I’m stuck on the sex again. Roche is having a really shitty day, so he goes to the cabin and signals Iorveth that he wants a round. Iorveth offers gentle (for them) sex and praise. And at the end, there’s a very significant scene where Iorveth removes his bandana. Roche buries his fingers in Iorveth’s hair, but doesn’t actually see his face, as he’s laying on his stomach with Iorveth on top of him.

Medicine

The morning after! Roche wakes up to find Iorveth in the bath, facing away from him, and notices a new scar. Iorveth has to deal with actually revealing his scars in daylight and they discuss the significant differences in elven and human medicine. Hint: I turned my own medical procedures into elven medicine, so it’s pretty fucking good.

Set ambiguously late, maybe after Thou Art More Lovely and More Temperate. Iorveth and Roche explore what Roche can take. We start with overstimulation, go into consensual somnophilia, come inflation, breeding kink, and oviposition. Because elves reproduce by laying eggs, which is not at all the case purely because I started this WiP ages ago and was horny.

Roche & Rinn: The Haunting of Barrack 8B

Oh man, I really want to finish the next chapter, because I already have the one after that done. But first, we get introduced to Adda! This ‘verse is going to feature Adda the White a lot more than any of my others have done so far and I’m very excited. Also, Silas continues to be terrified of the ghost and the ghost and Adda become girlfriends buddies.

Roche builds Iorveth a home

Set late in the ‘verse, after Roche knows his feelings, but they haven’t said them yet (not out loud, anyway). Iorveth takes a trip to go meet Saskia do things off screen and Roche ends up turning to his old hobby, carpentry, to keep himself from pining too obviously. So obviously he ends up builing Iorveth a solarium. And a pillow nest. And a scaffold so that flowers that blossom in the moonlight cover the glass and give them privacy.

I got stuck here because Rinn needs to give Roche a hint to get him to build the pillow nest, but I hadn’t developed Rinn and Roche’s relationship yet, so had to go back and do that. But eventually Iorveth returns and they have wonderful I’m-not-saying-it-but-i-love-you sex in the new pillow nest.

Foltest (WiP): Long Live the King

This is actually the last fic in the ‘verse, so I don’t want to give too much away. But actually, I haven’t figured out what the next chapter is, BUT I have the chapter after that started and it is GOOD, just you wait!! I’m very excited.

I am frustratingly stuck on this chapter. Theoreatically, we are going to have a check in on how the mountain and the rest of our cast is doing and then Roche launches his Wooing TM plan (aka dinner, gift, and dancing).

Between Two Fools

Yeah, Roche and Iorveth have very different understandings of what their gifts represent. There is some soft happiness and then a swift rug pulled out from under Iorveth’s feet, I’m afraid. BUT we are almost to the part where the two idiots sit down and actually talk properly.

Unlucky Number Thirteen

Not only do I have more of Thirteen’s story planned, but I have ideas for ALL the Stripes to have stories. We’ll see how that goes. But for now, Thirteen starts spying for Roche. A lot of still-nebulous stuff happens, including Thirteen’s first time, for which he asks Roche to help. Additionally, once we reach the (Im)Perfect Strangers timeline, Thirteen has a special story all his own. It involves learning to read and a secret I shall not yet reveal.

Silas

Like I said, all the Stripes are hopefully getting stories. But Silas’s is coming along nicely. He starts a new life as “Silas”, as a man, and joins the army. Boot camp is rough and awful and he’s not very good at any of it, but one day, Roche comes looking for a recruit. He needs a codebreaker to decipher Thirteen’s scouting reports (another one for pictures). So Silas joins the Stripes, but he’s still terrified that they’ll fnd out and think he’s been lying to them. Fortunately, they’ll be putting his fears to rest.

Stripes Sex aka Earning Your Stripes: The First Time

PT’s POV! The Stripes (pre-Silas) are all still getting comfortable with each other as a team. But Thirteen has known Roche the longest and in a specific capacity. So one evening when he needs to get out of his head, Thirteen asks Roche to dom him. PT is confused and scandalized and then jealous, but he gets to join in soon too. Meanwhile, Finch and Ves have fun with their bratty arsonist and Fenn is loving it.

This is very long and entirely build up to porn. And then lots of porn. A question during a random conversation leads Roche to make Iorveth ask him to take Iorveth utterly apart in a consensual non-consent fantasy set when they were still enemies in the forest.

This was supposed to be a simple PWP where Roche talks dirty to Iorveth under his breath while the two of them are at the bathhouse with Boussy (who LOVES baths and brought them to the fancy bath house), Anais, and Thirteen (who HATE baths and react to water much like a cat). They kinda took over the story and there has been no dirty talk yet oops.

Iorveth begins to reclaim his love for music and lets himself improvise and compose again. And he ends up writing a song that is the story of his and Roche’s romance.

The Elihal/Hattori side story! Though we haven’t actually met Hattori yet. So far, Elihal is expounding on his past and his relationship with Iorveth (he used to make all of Iorveth’s fancy gowns for concerts). Elihal and Hattori won’t play a HUGE role in (Im)Perfect Strangers, but they will be appearing!

Ves and Ciaran aka The First Rule of Fight Club

Ves is stuck walking a very long way back to Vergen with the memory of Ciaran’s skin against her teeth. And even though elves lie like breathing, she can’t help thinking about what he said about Roche not being worth her loyalty. Slowly, she begins to work some things out.

Yeah, it’s what it sounds like. Iorveth tells Roche that Saskia agreed to a threesome and where to meet, but he neglected to mention the rather large dragon that was currently rimming his ass. Different first meeting AU! In this one, Iorveth is sent as the elven ambassador to Temeria and it’s about as much fun as one might expect. Triss and Roche, the other outcasts amongst Temerian court, decide to befriend him. Well, try to anyway. idk where this is going, but it’s been fun. Leap of Faith

Okay, yeah, this has nothing to do with King Roche, but it’s the doc I was working in when I got the idea. In this one, a mage captures Iorveth for Foltest and starts torturing him. Roche, without really thinking about it, decides the mage goes too far, so he kills them. Leaving him with an elven prisoner and a castle full of people who will consider him a traitor for that. They escape the city, but now Iorveth has gotta convince Roche that no, the King really won’t forget that whole murder and prisoner escape thing. 

The whole point of this fic was for me to write them jumping off a cliff lmao. When am I gonna get to that? Probably like last or second to last chapter, tbh. Which should be... after the next one? No, I lied, it’s next chapter! I need to get on that!

Then the plants notice Roche and suddenly he’s tied up with vines and his clothes are getting torn off and uh, he’s not supposed to find this hot, is he? But he really kinda does. And then Iorveth goes and claims him and tries to protect him from a nearly-extinct non-sentient plant that sensed a warm spot to lay its eggs until someone else could come along and fertilize them. Iorveth is delighted to be that person.

Yeah, Roche really likes getting claimed in these. In this one, he has a favorite dream setting where Iorveth rules some grand elven kingdom and Roche’s only role is to bring him pleasure. Not to deal with politics or nobles or policy, but just to make Iorveth feel good. This was gonna be a simple lil thing based on me creating Roche in heroforge and giving him a lil hidden collar. Which is great, except the sight distracts him so much that Roche manages to escape.

But the next time they meet, Roche is still wearing that collar, hidden under his chaperon and armor. Iorveth has feelings about that.

Crones fic aka And Ghosts Did Shriek and Shrill

So this is the angsty fic that started from a crack premise. Er, one of them. I seem to do that a lot. But in this one, Roche goes to the Ladies of the Woods and asks for his men back. The Ladies agree, in exchange for 6 lifetimes of service. But no creature can reverse death. Which leads to the Stripes coming back to “life” as ghosts - only Roche is the only one who can see them. Ves can’t (not at first). 

Believe it or not, the whole idea behind this was the Stripes roasting Roche as he tries to flirt (terribly) with Iorveth. But uh... somehow it turned pretty dark. Like, it’ll have a happy ending for sure, but it’s gonna be a lot about processing trauma and grief and building families and also curing a plague, because that’s the first assignment from the Ladies.

This is the first time Iorveth takes Roche there, and Roche does not know what significance the roses have. But he DOES know that Iorveth blushes cutely when he tucks a rose behind Iorveth’s ear, so...

Iorveth would like to accept, only Roche doesn’t know WHAT he’s trying to accept.

The Legend

So in the game, there is a legend around the statue of elven lovers above the elven baths. “Legend has it the lover’s sighs are enchanted within these very stones, though only those in love can hear them.” 

Iorveth overhears his Scoia’tael gossiping about the legend and comes to an abrupt realization that Roche and him were the ones they were hearing. Oops?

This is kind of a bittersweet WiP that I mostly wrote in one go and then went to sleep and kinda lost the will for it. BUT the premise is that post-Witcher 3 Roche is in charge of Temeria and his brooding is interrupted when he receives a letter sealed with a forget me not pressed into wax. Iorveth continues to send letters describing his life as a “civilian” in Nilfgaard and how much he hates it and Roche relates a little bit too much. Then Iorveth decides to run away and live on the streets as a musician and he might inspire Roche to start learning the cello and presumably at some point, they meet.

Identity Porn

Iorveth and Roche have a meet cute in Flotsam’s tavern while the elf is listening in for local gossip and Roche is passing through on his way to meet with the other northern kings to get support in fighting against the new emerging threat of the Scoia’tael. Neither knows who the other is, but that doesn’t stop them from starting a relationship where they meet every time Roche passes through Flotsam. But their house of cards can only last so long, and at some point, they will meet as enemies. Who knows what happens then? idk, not me.

Hahaha, so I started this series in response to some WONDERFUL art of Roche with his Tits Out For Temeria. Wow, I didn’t even remember this WiP, so uh... clearly I haven’t worked on it in a while. But it’s Iorveth’s POV of how surprisingly comfortable he is in Corvo Bianco and Iorveth and Geralt get drunk and play gwent.

Noticing Roche’s Fucked Up Relationship

Anyone else randomly finding themselves shipping Dijkstra/Roche? No? Ah well. For this one Dijkstra observes Roche and sees a few too many reminders of himself with Vizimir, except Foltest is no Vizimir, and Roche clearly hasn’t learned to set up boundaries. Dijkstra feels weirdly compelled to help him figure that out before Foltest destroys him.

Developing Respect Fic

Also known as “let’s torture Roche 1.0!” This fic switches between the present, where Roche has woken up in a cell somewhere unknown and it brings back far too many memories for him to be entirely sure of what is happening when. In the past, he was captured by Redania while on a mission for Foltest, long before he was anyone notable. Dijkstra comes to visit, curious about this prisoner who refuses to break, to even tell them his name or confirm his country (but he has a Temerian tramp stamp, so they know lmao). So Dijkstra decides that this is not a man who will be broken through torture and decides to try conversation instead. The idea is to show them slowly gaining respect for each other, but like, obviously Roche is still a prisoner. Eventually, he’s returned to Temeria in a prisoner exchange, but meanwhile, in the present, Roche is all alone, with not even guards around and no way to free himself.

hobi: son of someone important in the court, eventually hand of the king

jungkook: (some gendry baratheon esque origin story?), just a stable boy/blacksmith who becomes friends with them and maybe eventually becomes Important

jimin: prince from another kingdom, v hot

yoongi: thief/rebel/hitman, v close friends with jk

• tae has three childhood friends: namjoon, hobi, and jin

• they play together a lot and when they get old enough for riding lessons they get to know and play with jungkook too, the stable boy's tiny son

• everything is very cute, childhood friends in the palace, they get into mischief, they gotta save baby jk out of trouble sometimes or st

• when they hit early teens they start training for different things. tae is a prince and he hates the weapon practice (he's a little better with a bow and arrow but his dad insists on him learning the sword), he also learns about history and diplomacy from jin (who becomes his tutor), and strategy from jin and also namjoon, who's getting more weapons and strategy training from jin's dad the head of the kingsguard (sometimes he just hangs around during the history lessons too bc he's fascinated)

• hmmm during this time joon may or may not have a crush on seokjin :0 he's older and smart and sociable okay

• hobi and jin have a thing for helping out/hanging around the kitchens sometimes, more than the others

• hobi drops by the lessons sometimes too, hes the best archer out of all of them, he's super charismatic and friendly and he ends up getting trained as the future hand of the king (he can also usually talk his way out of any trouble pfft)

• so their early/mid-teens happen and it gets even harder to hang out/get playtime

• yes yes jin starts looking a bit more mature and is cute, namjoon and hobi have stupid crushes on him and tae notices but rolls his eyes and doesnt say anything

• and then, One summer, namjoon starts training in swordfighting more intensively and puberty hits him like a brick wall

• everyone, even tae, was kinda lowkey thirstin

• they once watched namjoon train (jin was rarely out in the training field bc he's gonna be a scholar not a fighter, so he's like gulps waow he looks good, hobi is staring at joon's muscles, tae was like okay maybe I do like boys too cool that's convenient bc in this universe alliances can also be made with same sex marriage, even jk is like wow namjoon hyung ur so strong!! with big googly eyes)

• hobi whistles and namjoon fumbles with his practice sword and drops it LMAO and they're like yep there's the namjoon we know moment's over

• and then they just all go Thru it ykno puberty is a thing. hobi gets more beautiful, tae is still gangly/short and his face is somehow too long and small at the same time and he thinks he still looks basically the same as when he was 10 (he complains about it to himself)

• tae doesnt mind the lessons with jin, hates the weapons practice, but honestly what he loves the most is drawing. he has drawings of his friends, drawings of them just chilling, drawings of hobi and joon training (hobi looks so graceful 🥺), but his favorite is just sitting on a mound of hay at the stables and drawing jungkook while jungkook goes around doing stable boy work

• tae doesnt know when it happens, but jk also hits puberty and he realizes that when he's shading in jk's shoulder muscles and biceps and he internally goes "wow, he's attractive" "wow, I like jungkook"

• "oh no, I like the stable boy"

• tae avoided the stables for a like a week while he tried to process his feelings but things go back to normal eventually. jk was sad but he's sure prince taehyung has a lot of stuff on his hands

• the first time tae comes back jk addresses him formally and tae was taken aback like why are u calling me your grace?? we're really good friends? jk shrugs and goes "I can go back to calling you taehyung" "please" and everything mostly goes back to normal after that. tae hides his feelings to be processed another day, or to just go away. he's destined to be betrothed to another prince anyways

• they start turning 18 and they start doing actual jobs in the castle. joon proved himself to be super smart and he's been promoted to a junior advisor to the military general/kingsguard commander person

• jin becomes a full time scholar and hangs out at the library. sometimes namjoon comes in and borrows books and he's still flustered around jin even though they've known each other their whole life

• hobi is THE best event planner and also micromanages everything else as the hand of the king, also works closely with tae about events and balls and council meetings, which tae attends more and more as his 18th birthday draws near and he'll be expected to start making actual decisions and be an official member

• tae is a little intimidated by how good hobi is getting at micromanaging the kingdom and sometimes thinks hobi would make a better ruler instead :(

• the summer before tae turns 18 jungkook goes away for the summer to idk take care of his sick grandma at the countryside or st, tae is grumpy and he could easily arrange for kook's grandma to be brought to the castle and taken care of by handmaids and stuff but that's cheating (a big theme for this fic is maybe even though tae is maybe the next in line for most powerful person he still feels trapped and limited by his position)

• anyways while jungkook was away that's when he meets yoongi, may have dabbled in a bit of Anarchism™️ with him idek

• in the fall JK comes back and is HOTTER than ever and tae is STILL so damn gay for him and something's changed like...there's more tension between the two of them when they see each other but they barely do throughout the fall because tae is so busy with castle responsibilities now with his 18th birthday happening so soon

• tae turns 18 and hobi arranges for him to meet his betrothed, the prince from another kingdom who tae has to marry for alliance purposes

• he's managed to squash his feelings for jungkook but he still draws, he has like a sketchbook full of drawings of him akdjdk at one point jungkook asks "are all your drawings of me, hyung?" in a light but lowkey flirty tone and tae just deadpans "sometimes I draw the horses, or the hay"

• anyways, prince jimin will be staying at tae's family castle for the year as the two get to know each other better

• jimin looks HELLA ethereal and light and tae is INTIMIDATED he makes a fool out of himself trying to be too formal or official or whatever and jimin just laughs (lightly, like flower petals) and tells tae to chill, it's okay

• they talk about the little things like the climate and the food and hobbies etc

• jimin is v friendly and charismatic and half of it is for show but not in a bad way. he knows how to play the crowd and play the flirty charismatic prince, but deep inside he's sad that he's trapped in this life and sometimes thinks about flying away to another life

• there's not really any romantic chemistry between vmin but one day they were just chatting in tae's room when jimin suddenly? kisses him?? Tae is SHOCKED his hands are over his mouth touching his lips like oh god...that was my first kiss....and his stomach turns because it wasn't with jungkook

• jimin is profusely apologizing and freaking out a bit like "I'm sorry, I've never been betrothed before, idk what I'm doing I thought it would be good to try? to see if we work? like that?? I just want to make this work" and they figure out that jimin kissed tae bc he felt like he had to :( they figure out that they dont really have any romantic feelings for each other but that's okay they respect and appreciate each other a lot! (jimin may or may not know about tae's crush, maybe just that there's someone out there he likes, and jimin is in love with freedom but can never have it) ("what about you?" "Me?" Jimin gave a knowing while, his answer ready. "I'm in love with open doors and fields stretched out for miles. I'm in love with the stars and the infinite mysteries they hold." "Are you always this grossly poetic?" Jimin just laughs and shoves tae lightly.)

• anyways vmin bffs!! they chill and they remain platonic, because tae is still so so gay for jungkook

• especially now that his baby fat is starting to go away and his features are getting sharper, his muscles even MORE defined how is that possible

• tae is doing a p good job of looking more mature too he's starting to fill out his gangly body more, his face less childish and more "regal," as jungkook describes one day

• jk totally has an Oh moment too like "I never noticed your face" "what about my face" "it's so...it's a prince's face" "...what's that supposed to mean"

• they ride together sometimes and one day when the castle responsibilities are too much tae grabs a basket of food and drink from the kitchens, rides out somewhere to the meadows with jungkook and has a picnic with him

• they've snuck food out and hung out before but this time it felt a little different on the way back like they're both like it's time to go and jungkook grabs the harness/leash for the horses and leads tae's horse to him and they just share a look, both of their hands touching the leather strap of the harness

• nothing happens they get to the castle and that night tae DOESNT think about how he shouldve kissed jk right there and DOESNT think about jungkook's big defined muscles holding him down

• YOONGI IS SUPPOSED TO KIDNAP TAE FOR RANSOM TO FEED HIS TOWN/FAMILY BUT ACCIDENTALLY TAKES JIMIN INSTEAD

• jk: the prince is very beautiful

yg: [sees jimin and thinks it's tae] yes, very beautiful

• yoonmin have heated/enlightening discussions about Government. hot.

• yoongi is angry at the noble class for hoarding all the resources. jimin reasons that they give fairly. yoongi complains about his family/town starving in the streets etc more medieval government discourse

• jimin is the trapped bird in a cage and sees yoongi as the Freedom and adventure that he wants. yoongi was supposed to complete a mission but he falls for jimin instead

• (jk has to be promoted somehow so he can look nice and be in the castle akdjd) (and be promoted so tae can acceptably smooch him) - JK SAVES TAE from somethinG like he brought tae home on horseback and then gets appointed as tae's personal escort/bodyguard

• BEFORE I FORGET taekook kiss eventually and of course it happens in the stables and right after the first kiss jk leads him to like behind this post or st so passersby cant see them immediately and they kiss more and in between jk just chuckles/laughs and tae is like :(?? what and jk is like nothing its just that I've seen you trip over [the hay? the fences?] so many times in here and tae is like >:(( are u gonna reminisce about our childhood or keep making out with me

“Jeon Jungkook, Batallion 32,” You huff, for the umpteenth time. “He’s here and I know it.”

“Well, we’ve announced that… but no one’s responded.”

“Announce it one more time.”

It’s already begun to drizzle and you’re certainly not dressed for the thunderstorm that’s about to roll in. You shiver as the wind blows, the distant rumbling of the sky a forewarning that you should get inside soon. Instead, you’re left stranded, standing at the entrance of the military camp, looking like a fool because your best friend, Jeon Jungkook, loves to hold grudges.

“I think you should leave,” The soldier manning the gate mumbles as he looks up at the sky. “If he’s here and he hasn’t responded, it must mean he does not wish to have visitors.”

“I’ll just wait here,” You sniff, looking down at your feet. “Can you at least tell him I’m waiting here?”

The soldier nods, disappearing into the guardhouse to speak to his colleagues. The rain begins to pour, your shirt soaked within seconds. You start to wonder if you’ve perhaps got the wrong address. This is the right military base, isn’t it?

“H-how do I look?” Jungkook asks, turning to his roommates.

“The same as you always look,” One replies, unbothered, because they’ve heard him ask that question far too many times today.

“Shit,” Jungkook mutters, looking in the mirror for what must’ve been the 300th time now.

He’s not sure what he’s trying to fix. His hair has been reduced to a beautiful buzz cut so there wasn’t much to style there. He’s dressed in his uniform, so it’s not like he could impress you in the fashion department either. He had ironed out his uniform all morning though, ensuring that not a single crease was in sight because you told him you’d be here today.

It’s just you, his best friend… so, why is he a nervous wreck? Why does he care about how he looks? Well, that’s just it, isn’t it? It’s because it’s you that’s out there waiting for him. The best friend he’s been in love with for years now. The best friend he hasn’t been able to see in months. The best friend he only gets to chat with online for an hour per day… well, sometimes two when he bribes one of his roommates into giving him their hour in exchange of him picking up their chore duty for the night.

He’s been begging you to visit for months now and finally, 6 months in, you’re actually here. He didn’t think you’d come. After all, it’s a 5 hour journey from the college town you were in.

“It’s really pouring out there,” One of his roommates hums as he draws the curtains aside to peer out the window. “I might just go pick her up myself if you’re just going to stand here and look in the mirror all day. I’ve seen her picture. I wouldn’t mind having lunch with her.”

“I know you like your stupid jokes but I said she’s off limits,” Jungkook growls, grabbing his cap that’s laid on top of his bed.

“She’s just a friend, he says. I don’t like her like that, he says,” His roommate snorts. “Then go fucking get her you big idiot. She’s been waiting out there for 20 minutes.”

Twenty? No. It can’t have been that long. It must have been only 5 minutes max since he had heard his name ring around the loudspeaker system.

“Jeon Jungkook, Batallion 32. Jeon Jungkook, Batallion 32. There is a visitor still waiting for you at the gate. If you don’t get here in 5, she looks like she might just chew off your head… and mine so hurry up!”

“Shit, shit, shit,” He curses as he sprints down the hallways, practically skidding as he turns the corners. He grabs an umbrella, dashing across the lawn to reach the front gate. When he finally reaches the guardhouse, he’s basically gasping for air.

“How long has she been out there?” He asks, hands on his knees as he tries to catch his breath.

“Too bloody long,” One of the soldiers answers. “Look at her. She’s totally going to kill you.”

You’re standing there, hugging yourself as if the act could bring you any warmth. You’re drenched to the core, the rain pelting down on your skin relentlessly. You’ve given up on wiping your face every so often because you didn’t even need to look. It’s been too long now and it didn’t seem like Jungkook was coming at all. He really loves to hold grudges, that one. You know you promised him you would visit him in his second month but things just got busy and you couldn’t find any time off. You’re a few months late, but hey at least you’re here. The least he could do was come see you.

Curse stupid Jeon Jungkook. You know you shouldn’t have come here. That boy and his pea sized brain was definitely not worth all of this. The next time you see him, you’re going to make sure you give him a piece of your mind. You’re going to tell him that he’s a big selfish asshole and that you hate him and he’s the worst person to ever exist on this sorry planet and—

“It’s about to rain, get inside,” You hear someone mumble and you can barely make out a pair of boots through your blurred vision. You perk your head up, wiping at your face, only to see a big stupid grin when you’ve gotten all your wet hair out of the way. Just like always, that big stupid grin still makes your heart race.

“It’s already raining, asshole,” You grumble. “Everything up till my undies is soaked.”

“Soaked undies,” He snorts. “I mean I wasn’t aware I had that effect on you, but okay,” He smirks, cocking an eyebrow at you.

You only find the energy to scoff before you knee him right in the babymaker, hard. You grab the umbrella from his hand, turning back to watch him double over in pain, rolling in the gravel as he groans. The soldiers in the guardhouse stand at attention as they watch you walk past the gate and into the compound.

“Where’s the cafeteria?” You ask.

“Just straight ahead, ma’am.”

“Thank you,” You smile, bright and iridescent. It’s the first time any of the soldiers have seen anything but a scowl on your face.

Jungkook’s finally up now. His hand resting on one of the columns of the guardhouse as he watches you walk across the lawn with the umbrella.

“I don’t know what you said to her, but you deserved that.”

“I know.”

“I like her,” The soldier laughs, looking at you before he turns back to take in Jungkook’s haphazard look.

“Yeah? Get in line,” Jungkook snorts. “And just so you know, I’m in the front.”

Jungkook runs through the rain, his boots stomping across the grass until he reaches you. You don’t even look at him once he’s under the umbrella, eyes trained on the building in the far distance.

“You’re the worst,” You sigh.

“I am.”

“What took you so long?”

“I forgot you were coming,” He shrugs.

You stop walking for a second just so you could turn to look at him.

“I told you 3 days in advance that I was going to come. Even told you when I’d be here… down to the minute! You said you’d be there, waiting for me and now you’re telling me you forgot?”

“Yes.”

You shake your head before you throw your hand up in the air. You wonder how his roommates can even tolerate the big buffoon standing in front of you.

“I’m sorry. I was— I was trying to—” Jungkook sighs before he pulls you in for a hug. He wanted to tell you that he was late because he just wanted to look his best for you but, he knows you’ll never let him live it down. “I’m sorry,” He repeats and all you do is sigh.

“I’ve missed you,” He hears you mumble against his uniform. “I know we talk every day, but I’ve missed you.“

“I’ve missed you too,” He smiles, pulling away just so he could see his favourite expression on your face. It’s the one where you’re all shy with the knitted eyebrows and unsure pout. Ah, you’re going to be the death of him.

“Now that that’s over, let’s go get lunch, and get you all warmed up,” He huffs, lifting you up over his shoulders. You shriek, asking him to put you down but it’s like he’s deaf. When he finally puts you down, you’re standing at the entrance of the cafeteria.

“You did that just to show off, didn’t you? Yeah, yeah I get it. All the military training’s given you muscles now.”

“It did,” He beams. “Are you impressed?”

“Not particularly,” You shrug, and he laughs. You join soon after, shaking your head as he attempts to show you how big his biceps are now.

Oh, wait. Did he say your shy look is his favourite expression? No, that laugh, and that smile… the one you have on now, yeah that’s his favourite expression.

I wouldn’t call it an artblock, it’s more like… like your mind is one step ahead of your skills, I’d say. If treated right, you can turn that feeling into improving your art! What is it that you don’t like? Can you break it down to smaller things? Is it the line work or the coloring style, or even just the way you draw eyes or hands or noses? If you can focus on the smaller parts of what you don’t like in your style you can then look up a way to do the same thing that you do like, and practice that till you’re satisfied with it! One small thing might not mean much by itself, but putting all these small things together is how you make improvement happen :D

ooo these are some very interesting questions!!!

1. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

tbh I’m pretty happy with Singapore but if I really had to choose else where, maybe Canada or Australia?

2. What’s the best purchase you made recently?

cosrx skincare products, banilla co finishing powder and the maybelline fit me liquid foundation!! cosrx is really helping my problematic acne prone skin. the fit me foundation feels light weight and it’s poreless matte finish really helps my skin to look good!! plus it’s cheap. the finishing powder is surprisingly good. it’s so fine so it creates this very airbrushed matte finish and it doesn’t cake up my makeup at all!!

3. Would you ever change your name if you had the opportunity to?

honestly I have no idea? I’m good with my name thanks. Ahahah I like the meaning of my name too.

4. Sarcasm: good or bad?

HONESTLY it depends on the situation but generally it’s good with me cause I use it on the daily ahaha. sometimes it’s really unnecessary esp in serious situations and I hate it when people get angry at me for not being able to understand their sarcasm.

5. What fictional character are you most similar to?  

I nvr gave it much thought honestly. I feel like most fictional characters are just too unrealistic for me to relate to. Lmao durh they’re fictional after all. If anyone thinks I’m similar to a fictional/ anime character, send me an ask. I’d like to hear it!!!

6. Which would you rather: have someone publish your browser history to your family/friends or have someone read your most embarrassing tag receipts out loud?

oh fo sure have someone publish my browser history. my conversations with people ... tend ... to get ... either very weird or too personal. my browser history just involves twitter, tumblr, manga and a long list of very weird videos. i can just say “oh my friend showed me this video” to get out of an awkward situation ahaha.

7. What anime deserves a sequel?

*clears throat* mob psycho 100. ok but other than that? hmm I’d say ouran high school host club. maybe a remake for that anime would do better. idk. but ouran definitely deserves a sequel.

8. What sequel (anime, tv, movie, etc) would you eliminate from the face of the Earth?

I thought I would have something but after thinking and looking at my mal, idk? but since movies is an option, I’d say a lot of superhero movie sequels are unnecessary and a waste of time. Same with a lot of american horror movies. 

9. What would you rather be doing at this moment than answer these questions?

nothing else I guess cause I’ve been putting of these questions for the longest time now.

10. Latest you’ve ever slept?

unintentionally? probably 9 am the next day. intentionally (cause I needed to pull an all nighter for sch) probably 12 pm before my body collapsed

as of now? people pushing their opinions/ agenda/ ideology onto others. pls don’t force people to think the same as you. esp on the internet where you meet people from all walks of life from every corner of the world, nobody is gonna share the same beliefs/ opinions as you. don’t think people aren’t being progressive or narrow minded when you’re also not listening and refusing someone else’s opinion. if you don’t agree with someone or something, you do you boo. don’t need to get aggressive and shame others for not seeing things the way you do. it’s fine to have a discuss but once you shut out, and stubbornly force your opinion/ beliefs on them, you’ve lost. i hate hate hate these sorts of people and more of these people are appearing. listen gdi before opening your mouths.

❤: who is more affectionate in public? in private?

Miles is much more affectionate in public, but even then it depends on where exactly they are? Even if they’re at Briggs and everyone knows about them, they’re both still going to remain as professional as possible. If they’re walking about in Central, for a meeting, for example, and they’re in street clothes or something he’ll be much more affectionate. When they’re in public and in uniform (even if not in an actual work setting), he tries to refrain from being all mushy because Olivier kind of views it as disrespecting the uniform. 

In private, though, Olivier loves being as affectionate as possible because she loves to see Miles get all flustered haha. He kind of short-circuits if Olivier just starts smothering him in kisses and touches and she just loves laughing about it all.

Sometime’s she’ll like do small things in public like grab his ass when no one’s looking just because she loves seeing him fail to function afterwards. 

♡: who is the bigger romantic openly? secretly?

This is probably mostly the same as the affection in public/private, but Miles is more openly romantic. He’s not afraid to leave her flowers and stuff at her desk (she doesn’t hate flowers if they’re from him, it’s like an inside joke between them), but on the other hand she’ll do things in secret for him. Like if they’re at Central in a hotel for a meeting (God knows they aren’t going to stay at the Armstrong manor) and he’s there by himself while Olivier’s out, she’ll make sure to order good food and other stuff for him. She’ll always ask for there to be a little note left on the room service tray that says “from Olivier” with a little heart. 

Then again, she’s sort of a hopeless romantic and she doesn’t know how to express it very well without open affection, so he’s often the more romantic one in general anyway. 

❥: who is more likely to plan something big for valentine’s day?

While Miles loves planning things for them, for Valentine’s Day specifically, Olivier’s gonna fucking go all-out. It’s rare, but she likes going over the top for things like that, so she’ll arrange whole romantic evenings for them and she’ll do all her work plus Miles’s so they can take a night off and just be together. 

She’s very sneaky hehe, Miles instead will outright ask her and plan things with her but she’s very secretive about it

ღ: who is more likely to initiate hand-holding in public?

Definitely Miles. He loves holding her hand, and it’s the one public form of affection she’s always willing to do when they’re in uniform but not specifically working. They both just really enjoy the contact and reassurance that the other is there, next to them. 

💕: who is more likely to make huge declarations of love in front of other people?

They’re honestly both pretty reserved about big declarations of love in public, but even so, it’ll have to be Miles once again– though he’d never want to make Olivier uncomfortable, so he always asks her first before doing something like that. 

It’s rare that she says no, though.

💘: who developed a crush on the other first?

Miles– he immediately thought she was beautiful when he first saw her, and though it was technically attraction at first sight for him, it wasn’t necessarily love. He mainly just felt an immense respect and draw towards her– Olivier’s a dangerous person and it can be dangerous to fall in love with her haha, especially if you’re someone like Miles in a country like Amestris. They’re both very emotionally-connected, so it took them a while of having deep friendship and loyalty to one another until they actually confessed their mutual love.

Olivier thought he was handsome, too, she just didn’t feel as strong of a magnetism at first. 

💝: who spends more time (possibly overthinking) what presents to get the other?

I initially thought Olivier, but then I thought about it– I think Miles would actually overthink it more than her. Olivier is very hard to shop for, and despite knowing her very well, Miles just really wants to get her something she’ll really like.

Olivier on the other hand is very intuitive and locks onto something if Miles shows an intense interest in it, and from there she’s usually pretty good at picking out gifts for him.

💓: who initiates most physical contact?

While this goes more hand-in-hand with the affection again, I kinda view the phrase “physical contact” as being more emotionally intimate than affection for some reason? In this case, it’s Olivier (though we’re still talking in private, of course). Despite what a lot of people may think just by looking at her and knowing what kind of person she is, she’s a big cuddler. If her and Miles are together and he’s not busied with something, she wants to have that physical contact– even if its just sitting so close their sides touch or her hand is in his. She usually likes to sleep all curled up next to him with his arms around her, for example. 

She’s very touchy-feely, and even though she’s three ranks below fuhrer, the contact brings her immense comfort and makes her feel safe. 

Even in public, if they’re not already holding hands, she’ll often brush her hand against his when they’re next to each other. That way, it’s not an open display of affection, and she can even do it while working. 

💌: who is more likely to send cutesy texts to the other?

While not necessarily cutesy, they’ll text each other a lot, even if it’s just asking how the other one is. They’re that couple who will text things like “be safe” and “call me when you’re home so I know you got there” and things like that. However, for cutesy texts, I’ll have to give it to Miles again. He knows she enjoys the reminders that he loves her, and he’ll often send her pictures of cute or lovey things and say it reminds him of her or even just “look it’s you” haha. She acts like she hates being compared to cute things, but he knows she enjoys the reminder that he’s thinking about her. 

💟: who spends time reading their zodiac compatibilities?

I doubt either of them would believe it, but I think Miles would just think it’s cool to look at. Olivier, on the other hand, would just be like “why do you read that it’s all bullshit” haha

💙: who is more protective?

Oh god, Olivier haha. When they’re in public together and she sees another man or woman looking at him a certain way she’ll hold onto his arm tighter and just give the nastiest glare ever witnessed. Miles is protective too but he know Olivier won’t hesitate to tell off someone who’s flirting with her. 

Just worth mentioning since they’re military characters. They’d obviously give their lives for each other in combat, but I feel like Olivier has the higher ground because she has more control over him? There will always be that commander-adjutant aspect of their relationship– and while he wants to follow orders, he’d rather say “we’ll die together, then” rather than “i’ll die in your place” like Olivier will insist. He can’t just offer his life like that in the same way she technically can because she wouldn’t let him. Idk what context this would be in but I’m sure you get the point lmao

💚: who tends to get sick more often? who is better at taking care of the other?

Olivier definitely gets sick more often, though one wouldn’t think, because she rarely lets it show. She overworks herself a lot, so mostly the sleep will be sleep-deprivation, and in that case, Miles insists she goes to bed and he take over work for her for a few days. 

It also happens sometimes when they travel to Central– the weather change messes with her and she’ll feel crummy. Miles has had to take care of her so much, he’s really good at it by now xD;;

💜: who said “i love you” first? or, if neither has said it yet, who is more likely to say it first?

Miles. Olivier is so secretive about her feelings that, honestly, if he hadn’t said anything, she probably would’ve bottled it up forever. She’s never had a friendship as close as the one she had with Miles; she was afraid that a confession would ruin it and she’d lose her best friend and everything would go south if he didn’t reciprocate. Luckily, he said it first, to which she immediately confessed right back.

Miles; he was always rather spiritual about soulmates and love and he’s a firm believer that “there’s someone for everyone”, even just if on a platonic scale rather than romantic. He was kind of worried about it for a while since he hadn’t felt that deep of an emotional connection with anyone until he found Olivier. He was obviously very afraid of his feelings at first (I mean duh she’s a pure-blooded Amestrian AND a fucking major general, who wouldn’t) but he soon came to realize that they were so similar yet so different, so it must’ve been so.Olivier on the other hand was rather pessimistic about love, but she felt the same strange emotional attraction to him that he felt for her. After being with him for a while, she’s starting to believe in it too.
