first of all, will falls easily and he falls hard. there is no “she fell first, he fell harder” trope with will because he’s just kinda both sides of it. if you’re the one for him, he’s going to know it from the very first conversation. the first word. the first glance. he’ll pull out every trick in the book to get you to even want to talk with him - but hey, he shouldn’t use the word “trick.” he doesn’t want to just smooth talk you into bed. he wants you to want to keep him around.

dates with will riker are always great fun. he really has a gift for setting the mood exactly how he wants it. dates are grand adventures in the holodeck, relaxing outings on shoreleave, or intimate dinner in his quarters. will has an idea for every kind of date on the spectrum, and he quickly susses out which ones you favor the most.

he’s immediately and fiercely protective of you, even before you two are official. will isn’t one to get in some guy’s face for daring to talk to you - he values your freedom and choice and happiness, even if it isn’t with him. but he’s also an excellent judge of character, and if someone rubs him the wrong way, he’s keeping a close eye on them. will doesn’t want to interfere with your life, but he’ll be damned if he’s gonna stand by and let you get hurt.

generally just super proud of you and lets everybody know it. loves to boast about how smart and capable you are when the topic comes up. mentions your achievements and talks about it with a grin on his face. will 100% makes it a point to praise you in front of others - he knows how much his opinion matters aboard the enterprise, and makes sure that your peers respect you for the great officer he knows you are.

will is very attentive. he’s great with people, but with you, it’s as easy as reading a book. sometimes, he knows how you’re feeling even before you do. he’s going to notice if you start to withdraw, even in the slightest way. if you’re quieter than normal, or your eyes don’t light up when you look at him as they should. he’ll want to know what’s wrong immediately, and push for you to talk it out with him. will thinks he can fix any problem set before him, but sometimes, it isn’t an easy fix. he’s come to learn that sometimes, you just need him to hold you and listen.

his favorite thing in the world is making you laugh, and he does it so easily. and a lot of the time, he doesn’t even mean to. will riker can be bluntly honest sometimes, and his mouth has gotten him in hot water more often than not - but he’s always very happy to make you laugh, even accidentally. always acts kinda proud when his jokes land perfectly. or if he’s not in a great mood but ends up saying something that makes you laugh, it always lifts his spirits.

don’t think you can outkiss william riker. this man lives and breathes being able to just hold your face and kiss you deep. or holding your arm as you rush by, late for your shift, and he just plants a big kiss on your lips before releasing you. but will never really gets the upperhand a lot of the time - for someone so good at poker, he shows his hand so easily. will riker is a man desperate for a kiss and will do absolutely anything to get it.

arguments here and there are bound to happen. will has a very dominating and willful personality. he’s stubborn and temperamental. open-minded but proud. if he thinks he’s right, it takes a lot to change his mind and he doesn’t even really consider the possibility that he’s wrong until after he’s already lost his temper and you’re stomping out of his quarters. but will is not the type to let a fight fester and tensions sit. he’ll probably pout and isolate for a day or so, but he always comes back around. always tries to make up for his poor behavior. always makes sure you’re okay and apologizing for hurting you before really talking things through.

once will realizes you’re the one for him, that’s it. in his mind, he’s yours. he doesn’t automatically start thinking about marriage and having kids and settling down - there’s still so much he can do. but he just kinda accepts that he’s yours. that his future is with you, no matter how it might go.

I am humbly requesting your thoughts on Linebeck

Oh I have a LOT of thoughts on Linebeck but I'll try to just get some major points down bc it would take me ages to spill all of my thoughts on him.

(plus i do have two general headcanon posts [ 1 2 ] a post abt headcanons about him being autistic [ x ] and a weird post about his coat [ x ] as well as pretty much anything in my linebeck tag with my excessive tagging of some reblogs and my original posts + whatever writing or fanfiction i have done/will do with him included so. bonus reading for headcanon-y stuff or a look at how i portray him)

added a read more bc this is long bc of course it is :) i hope it's in the right spot :)))

Linebeck is... a good fucking character. He's probably my favorite character period, and has been pretty much soon after I got Phantom Hourglass. He feels unique compared to other Zelda characters as a companion character who offers less direct support and is more just of a constant character who changes throughout the course of the story and is... well, a companion, not really a helper. He falls more in line with the types of loz characters who are more rude or antagonistic towards Link, but develops out of that, and also technically counts not only as a boss but a final boss, putting him as the only non-villain character to be a final boss, so uh good for him.

Just within the context of the games he's got a great design and a great theme (which is only heard about two times before the final boss but has a recognizable enough motif for it to be noticed in the final boss theme) and an interesting role in his game and just has one of the best character arcs and one of the most interesting places within the story as a whole. Linebeck's arc is very... natural in how you see his attitude change within both story beats and in his overworld dialogue, but at the same time seems like it stutters when he deals with Ciela's criticism and upholding his own reputation, I think his character arc is very fascinating if you consider the entire context of his character and what he interacts with, since a majority of the characters he directly interacts with seem to deny the idea that he's any more than a useless coward.

The fact that pretty much the rest of the major cast in Phantom Hourglass has basically no faith or respect for Linebeck is so fucking fascinating to me. This guy has to be doing so fucking bad over the course of the game. In relation to Ciela specifically, an idea I've been thinking of and trying to work into some of my Phantom Hourglass oneshots is that having to be around and interact with her so frequently wears Linebeck down pretty badly as the game goes on.

This guy is undeniably mentally ill and that's also something I have a specific fic planned out for but that's probably not going to see the light of day for a while. It's basically five chapters of Oshus being Linebeck's therapist or something each time Link goes to the Temple of the Ocean King.

I particularly enjoy how the game (at least twice) plays with your expecting him to be at the ship all of the time by having him be in a different spot on an island. His dialogue for islands and his overseas dialogue are fun, it gives off a sense that he much prefers exploring and is a bit less guarded overseas. His dialogue during the ghost ship fight is ESPECIALLY fantastic, the specific line of 'I'm fighting right there with you this time, kid!' not only offers some very interesting insight to his attitude towards link and his own role, but kind of also stings when considering the events of the final boss and is also a quote I took a screenshot of while reading the text dump for this game.

Phantom Hourglass is by no means an exceptional game and while the story is fine it's nothing fantastic and even most of the characters are... ok, but Linebeck is without a doubt the best part of this game and I really feel like he's the main reason why people still give this game a chance and despite everything he's easily one of the best characters in the entire series even if his game isn't one of the better ones. He honest to god steals every scene he's in, even if he barely has any dialogue- he's animated with such distinct personality and I love it. He doesn't speak at all until the end of the spirit of courage scene and yet is so fucking distracting with his fruity fucking posing and movements in reaction to what's going on.

I'm also personally a fan of the near-complete lack of backstory we get for him. The most we get is some vague implications but everyone can read the given information in different ways so it's really not much. Phantom Hourglass's general lack of lore is great for me since I can just fill in the blanks however I want. I kinda honestly don't want Nintendo to revisit this game because I don't really want them to add anything new. Just port it or something don't change it.

That's about it for surface-level specific-to-the-games Linebeck talk... on to everything else.

Linebeck is literally the reason why I found out I was autistic. I wrote this loser and realized I was accidentally making him kinda autistic and THEN realized I was also projecting and then decided to look into that. He's fun to write and he always ends up a little out of character and at this point I barely give a damn because this bastard is masking or keeping up a facade or whatever the fuck in most of his scenes anyways. Linebeck's arc feels to me more about him being most honest and open to and about his own emotions and actual personality so honestly writing him a bit out of character doesn't bother me too much.

He's my favorite little guy, and when I plan out Zelda aus he always gets a major role to the point where a lot of the twists to my aus all end up being similar. For a few of them I've had to forcibly alter his role so that I can't include him constantly. He's very interesting for different kinds of aus because he's an interesting character for different concepts and situations. His relationships with characters in Phantom Hourglass lend well to au stuff; specifically with Link, in one au they're adoptive brothers, in one they're something akin to rivals, in one their mutual fixation on each other propels the plot. I've even expanded on interactions and possible dynamics with Bellum in aus (Bellum is honestly fun since he's kind of a blank slate in canon but there's just enough there to build off of but keep it relatively the same original character).

I have a few ocs that used to be au versions of Linebeck that ended up becoming their own thing because the aus in question worked better as original stories.

With Phantom Hourglass-centric ideas, it's a lot of fun to poke around and explore stuff with Linebeck's past, his mental state, the kinds of things he enjoys or hates, pretty much anything the game doesn't elaborate on. With all of that blank space and the fact that I've known about him for a few years now, I've gotten down a whole backstory and deeper details on Linebeck, most of which I'm probably going to end up expressing through writing.

Just a few of the baseline ones are just along the lines of him being gay, autistic, touch-averse, intersex, a cat person, someone who highly values his freedom, half Gerudo, interested in music- some of it can be supported with canon (he really comes off to me like a closeted gay man, and he does have some generally autistic vibes) and some of it is really just for the hell of it (in particular the idea that he’s of Gerudo descent has no backing but is so interesting for story stuff and is generally fun) (I also enjoy ignoring parts of canon. I have not played Spirit Tracks and I do not want to play it so if I don't look at it I can ignore it).

I have a lot of fun fleshing him out in different aus or in scenarios before or after Phantom Hourglass, since there's just enough there to allow for further reasonable exploration, and his being just some normal guy actually helps with that since it forces you to keep things relatively normal and comparable to kinds of things you can experience in your day-to-day. I've more or less figured out a (mostly) full backstory for him, I've decided on a full physical description of how he looks so that I have a baseline if I want to change stuff in an au or just so that I know how I figure he looks as well as have an idea of how some physical traits can lend themselves to other aspects of how I write and portray him (for example, I figure he has long fingers, which goes right with the idea that he enjoys music and is pretty good on a piano, and also that he's good with tasks that might require a bit more finger dexterity as well as generally helping a bit with pick-pocketing or thievery)

I figure that, along with the general idea I have of him valuing his freedom, he's not particularly interested in following rules or laws and hates seeing too many of them put in place, and especially values his own identity even if he doesn't express it as much as he'd like. He likes being able to go wherever he'd like and he likes being able to do what he wants and express himself how he wants and that stuff gets bogged down when he plays into that image of someone he's not that he hides behind and doubles down on in a good bit of Phantom Hourglass.

Linebeck is fun in general he's a good character he's fun for aus he's got enough groundwork to spend ages pouring into possible avenues for his personality and background and whatever potential he could have in different aus or roles. He's surprisingly fun and interesting to use as an antagonist since you can't fall back on easy villain-writing ideas and have to get a bit more creative with it.

I think I struggle to write him in-character but it's backed up a bit by my specific interpretation of him suggesting that a lot of what you see from him is forced or fake. I still think he's a greedy piece of shit, though. He sucks and it's on purpose. I lean into him being rude and cold and a bit quieter overall.

He just... for some fucking reason when I decided to play this game Linebeck struck a chord with me whether or not I realized it at the time so he's just very interesting and entertaining and important to me and it really doesn't help that either Phantom Hourglass as a whole or just Linebeck is my special interest.

Linebeck stands out in comparison to other Zelda characters and has a very unique and fascinating role and arc and is just so fucking good.

He feels like he could be used as an example of how good character writing can save a piece of art (not that ph sucks but like. god damn he elevates it) just because his inclusion makes the story more interesting as you have this selfish asshole tagging along next to your little goody-two-shoes protagonist and fairy friend, and his arc, though not entirely the focus of the story, is another reason to keep progressing. His dialogue is funny and has some really good in-character tips every so often, he adds character to traversal and adds stakes as a character to care about and protect and is just fucking fantastic.

He's a character that can work as comedic relief but at the same time can be taken very seriously and I really enjoy that while he seems to be in the role of comedic relief a lot it never seems much like it's diegetically intentional and it still allows room for him to be taken completely seriously. Him knocking over stone Tetra is funny but there's so much character in that entire string of animations that while it's a fun background gag it also provides even more insight into Linebeck as a character.

Essentially he's my favorite character ever he was probably my gay awakening and I want to steal his gender and I think about him more than I think about my ocs.

so a thing that my brain does on the reg is it makes me get nervous about a scenario (ranging from probably-won't-happen to Definitely-Won't-Happen) and then i have to spend like 40 minutes meandering my way through an improv youtube apology video until my brain feels like I've addressed the scenario about as well as i can and lets me move on. usually this comes in the form of like

you accidentally said a forbidden slur (i.e. one i can't reclaim) while streaming/in a group conversation and now have to explain that your brain misfired catastrophically hard and that you've never said this word before (true) And You Have To Do It Well Enough To Be Believed

because like. i wouldn't believe that guy either, y'know? most people in that situation just cross that bridge when they get to it and do pretty bad, so maybe my brain is trying to help prepare me via interrogation. my point is that i spend a lotta my spare time pacing in my bathroom fending off theoretical murder charges (which are either phony OR true OR a secret third thing depending on the day).

a/n: coming from a texan this is genuinely my dream life. also this is like semi headcannons? the format is a tad funny bc i didnt have enough plot for a full fic but its mot just headcannons either?? idk man😪

summary; abbys grown up on a farm, its all shes ever known. and she CANNOT see her life not in the fields. and you, while still being from the south wanted nothing more than to escape it all. so when you told her you wanted to move to the city with her, she made it her mission to prove to you farm life could be happy. <3

(you only thought this because there was no work to be done yet) but soon planting season started, then the animals started to accumulate, and all the sudden your back on a farm. exactly where you wanted to escape from. but this time its different. your with you’re person. you’re abby. and as much as you wanted to hate it, you couldn’t. not to admit abby was right but, she was right.. every morning you wake up, braid Abby’s hair, eat breakfast with her, and you go separate ways for chores. you tend to the animals as abby works on the farm in the fields. its peaceful.

“oh nothinggg, i js’ rented that movie you wanted t’ watch” she says jokingly. she pulls you in by the waist and places a kiss on the top of your head.

“did you get anyy of your chores done today?” you say, pretending to be mad she hasn’t been tending to the farm.

“uh, thats a problem for tomorrow me.” she giggles.

back again and yea yea it's same old same old: sprites that are slightly off and boys that are one dimensional and a girl that hates us and writing that clearly does not understand the love island format

surprisingly, I liked the free short haircut this time around. like I may not keep it forever but I didn't mind it lol

the paid clothes options were ugly thank you for making my decision to spend gems solely on dissing Zabrina at the end easier

speaking of, the Zabrina stuff is annoyingly repetitive like yeah okay another Kat/Sofia but nerfed a little

However, I am still enjoying it solely bc I've decided this season my MC is having a villain to audience favorite arc and so I'm pretending she has a frenemy situation with Zabrina where theyre both kinda awful but to each other so it's entertaining at least and not just bullying (especially after MC and Zabrina admitted they voted for each other to get out and Zabrina kinda just was like "I respect you for saying it. Competition watches out for competition.")

But it's gonna be so sad for me when she eventually gets dumped (give her a Lottie character arc pls!! oh wait fusebox doesn't do that anymore... give her an Ava arc?)

Also yes the best way to enjoy this game is to create headcanons and make up the writing for them 🙄🙄

the random talk about Dominic and now we get a mystery bombshell was giving perfect match Darcy vibes and I kinda had fun with that in perfect match especially bc it really only mattered in the beginning but fusebox's track record with forced history storylines has been lukewarm (stefan) to bad (Amelia, SURESH). But if he shows up now and we rip off that band aid I guess that's fine. I'd love a slow burn enemies to friends to lovers but I'm so particular about how it's gotta be done but also to not become the main storyline and leave out players interested in the other LIs 🤣

if it is though, props to fusebox for not overly advertising this season as the enemies to lovers seasons

I doubt it's Jace coming in now (later probably bc he is on the season banner) but there is technically precedent for someone getting dumped day 1 then coming back the next morning (love island USA s5 with bergie) and even sorta in the game (litg s6 when mc enters casa) so I guess I won't be mad if it is? Just confused why they would. to get their cliffhanger quota in??

I think if we're gonna have MC as an OG but not want her to be with coupled with someone good right away (bc branching despite the genre of game,,,, idk what fusebox's problem is but sure) I'd rather not mess with the love island format. There is precedent for a get to know you challenge to happen before the initial coupling, so that's not my problem but i think instead go back to the coupling up on first sight thing and just have it that Esme does not immediately vibe with Jace. she describes her type to the girls in the beginning and Jace is not it anyway. Jace picks MC last (yeah annoying i know im sorry its repetitive but at least Zabrina didnt steal a guy from MC and at this point in time theres no reason to dislike Jace) and the other boys get shuffled around to the other girls. But then the first challenge happens pretty much immediately and I think Jace gets put off of MC but he and Esme get along really well. And after the challenge he clearly isn't trying with MC anymore and she gets a chance to be upset or ambivalent about it bc it was literally within a few hours of first meeting and being coupled (think like Miles/Jasper S1).

And then literally everything else can still happen. MC is effectively single and free to talk to the other boys bc it's day 1 so none of them are married off yet (and no one jealous with Zabrina playing the field like MC, Esme with the only nonromancable guy, Ruby lukewarm on all the guys)

and if they did this i wouldn't mind as much that theyd need to vote someone dumped before introducing a bombshell to keep everyone on their toes. bc without the coupling thing it just makes it so painfully obvious they're keeping mc single as long as possible like last season. if we want to stay strict to the love island format though, then whoever the next bombshell is can still show up and shake up couples before MC gets to pick the guy she actually wants.

YEAHHH TATTOO TIME. every single time I see fanart of the tattoo I freak out (/pos) so much because all the interpretations are SO cool. I love seeing what people come up with because I myself have no artistic ability, I can only describe what's in my head through words, so when people are able to actually put that into art form it just makes me so happy

yes exactly that's why I wanted it on his pulse!! I wanted it to sit right over the reminder that he's human! that he has blood pumping through his veins! everyone has that blood and that heartbeat and I wanted the tattoo to sit right above that both because of the connection to his heartbeat, but also because it's the place other people can feel your pulse. it's the connection point almost between your pulse and others, if that makes sense.

(random fun fact, I can't feel my own pulse on my wrist. doctors and nurses can't get a pulse from my wrist either. like there have been many times I've gone to the doctor and the nurse has tried to take my pulse and they frown and readjust their hand and then they try the other wrist and no matter what it doesn't work and I'm just sitting there. the only place you can get a pulse off of me besides straight up feeling my heartbeat is on my carotid artery on my throat)

then he develops into a person who was willing to learn to deal with his trauma when around season 4 when (in hc) he’d be like 27 at the earliest (?) because we have to remember that we skip all of loris pregnancy and then the first year (?) of judiths life. making him on the closer side to 30 around the time the prison, when his character starts developing.

(and i never said 25 was the solid age, just that hes “like 25”, meaning im happy to account s1 daryl as 26,27,28, whatever, just that hes under 30 in s1 in my mind)

5 i agree that him being older plays a part in his story but i dont think being 25 suddenly makes him a little baby that makes his development void. his frontal lobe developed. that is a valid subtextual reason for him to mature. but that isnt the only thing that made him reflect and want to cope with his trauma. merles frontal lobe developed and he never tried to do what daryl did - therefor the age thing doesn’t exactly diminish his story or else merle wouldve changed before the outbreak, but he didnt, because some people dont. some people reach frontal lobe age and stay the same. its not “he just grew up” because then merle would have too, but he did grow up, and realised following merle was stupid. but he wouldnt have reached that outcome if there werent other factors so it can easily be both

6 i never said 40 looks old or that theres a problem w it, but how is he older than rick? than most of the other people there? being older than rick feels like it makes no sense (although rick didnt grow up like daryl did and they had carl young so blab yeah theres reasons) and merle being 35+ does make some sense though id somewhat agree 35 is young for merle. m not saying that ppl start decomposing when they hit 30 but god forbid i hc someone as not 40

+ trauma physically ages people so even if daryl did look the same age or older than rick, then it would still be plausible that hes younger. we see trauma age characters in this show. its not hard to assume it happened to him outside of the outbreak too

My brief thots on each gen of pokemom games.

GEN1: I actually do not like the kanto region since it has nothing interesting. it’s where the series began so i can’t say much beyond the fact that i have 0 nostalgia for it. lmao

GEN2: I have nostalgia for it cause of old magazines i used to read at the time. I love Celebi and I do think that the johto region tried to incorporate the mons into the region.

GEN3: Emerald was my 1st pokemon game but my dumbass couldnt read english at the time so idk i had to collect the gym badges ASKDOASKD (i wasnt that into the cartoon, sorry). Despite that, I also have 0 nostalgia for it. :/ ALTHOUGH, I do think hoenn is a nice lil region full of lil nooks and crannyes to explore. there’s also this... ‘esoteric’ feeling regarding someplaces (gen2 had some of it too, but hoenn just nailed it lmao). There’s also the gen1 remakes but... again, i do think kanto is boring in whatever incarnation it chooses to come out of.

GEN4: I dislike everything about the Sinnoh region... I’M SOO SORRY. I actually skipped emulating those until like... 2017. Platinum fixed pearl and diamond but the region was soooo bland and uninspiring... The GEN2 remakes on the other hand... I *DO* have nostalgia for those since it’s the 1st pokemon game i was able to finish. +It was a really well done remake, adding lots and lots of new fun stuff.

GEN5: People hate it but i love when franchises try something new. I loved gen5. i loved the new animated sprites too. I also liked that B/W chose to not have any of the past mons show up. that was a bold move. B2/W2 just took what the last games left and made them better!

GEN6: Kalos is... my sinnoh, all over again. i like the monsters, but uuh... this region sucks. it’s bland and barely looks french aopsdkopas I *DID* love the GEN3 remakes tho!

GEN7: I LOVED SUN AND MOON TO BITS!! Despite the hand-holding and... long winded cutscenes that said nothing with 30mins of dialogue lmao. It was a very fun region, full of my favs pokemon EVER + the aether foundation was nice! Then USUM came out and I guess playing through the games again made its flaws even more apparent. I say this cause I got FATIGUE from this game. I pirated it days before it released but only played it on day one (back in 2017). then I got tired and finished it when the pandemic hit in 2020. Also, I skipped Let’sgo Pikachu/Eevee cause it was kanto AGAIN and this time in an even worse format lmaaao

GEN8: :S Sword and shield were... bland... like the food it’s region is based off. I finished it in 2020 too, cause my bf bought his switch and we didnt have that much games to play lmao. I have NO memories of this game whatsoever... I played it mostly to finish my living dex (and im still missing zarude :/). We also ksipped the gen4 remakes cause they look horrible and are and 1:1 remake. so... not worth it lmao. NOW, regarding legends arceus, my bf LOVED it. I didn’t cause it didnt have a very good map design + teh game is kinda hideous lmao. Forced my way through it to finish my living dex and I wasn’t even able to complete the game. i just traded them off online later on.

GEN9: they fixed the catching aspect of the game, which is like... the main reason i play those games. look, im a kleptomaniac when it comes to pokemon and I REALLY gotta catch em all or ELSE. Anyways, catching and completing the pokedex is soooooo fun. The games still has technical issues but honestly. it is what it is. my bf has scarlet and i chose violet solely cause i prefer the uniform. but i’m playing both version at the same time cause um unhinged (and i’m still having fun!).

have Griffin and Rachel ever mentioned the bachelor or other reality shows again on Wonderful? im just wondering lmao, i legit dont care one way or the other, im just kinda curious lol. cause like, i love(d) Rose Buddies haha, it’s one of my favorite podcasts. i havent listened to Wonderful much, but i will when i get to it (i’m relistening through Rose Buddies rn, im about halfway through that podcast’s run). im sure Wonderful is great, but i liked that Rose Buddies just felt like sitting down and gossiping with some friends lol, and I loved that I didnt need to actually watch any of the shows they talked about (nor would i ever), but it didnt matter cause honestly that wasnt really what made the podcast good, that stuff was just a vehicle for griffin and rachel to make each other laugh and invent funny narratives about things, and honestly maybe it helps that ive never seen the actual show or any of the people on it myself haha. maybe that helps with my mental picture when they talk about how they think a contestant has a belly button fetish, or one of the hosts is secretly a ghost or something like that. 

i completely understand why they stopped doing the show lmao and if they had continued, it would have been bad and they wouldnt have had fun doing it, but yeah. i just think the Rose Buddies podcast, as it stands now as a finished product that they wont return to (though maybe they could do one-off returns to it for max fun drives or something lol, or maybe they already have and i just dont know about it), is great and im really enjoying my relisten

rivals-to-lovers with rodimus and characters like rodimus (but mostly just rodimus); being his rival and someone who antagonizes him but at the end of the day you begrudgingly respect him and know he has potential (which is painful bc hes so stupid) and as you fight side by side and save each other and help each other with your internal struggles, the passion between you blossoms into love

old-flames-who-were-evil-together-but-eventually-things-went-sour-but-then-...-you-reconnect with megatron specifically; someone who was an advisor and by his side before the war, a strategist and a major brain behind the formation of the decepticons iconic evil plots, but eventually you start to despise him for turning this thing you cared so much for into something that you neither of you wanted to begin with but both of you are so sullied by your horrible actions theres no repentance for either of you, you fuck off to some planet to escape punishment bc youre not going down like this, idk you reconnect and although you have a lot of bad blood between you theres still relief that megatron is alive and didnt get executed. in the beginning all you wanted was the best for megatron and your planet now you two are unrecognizable compated to the mechs you were before so you take comfort in each other bc who better to console him and stand by his side than someone just as horrible and tainted.

haughty-diva-and-the-person-they-'settled'-for is also a dynamic i love esp for mechs like whirl and swerve and trailcutter who see themselves as undesirable and perhaps even unattractive to others, but anyone could see they have insane chemistry with this hottie. someone who is also probably pretty bad at expressing their feelings and doesnt know how to say they like someone bc theyre used to being hit on not hitting on others.

old mechs paired with a bouncy youthful personality, opposites attract sort of thing. ratchet and magnus (sometimes megs) are my usual go-tos for this dynamic but it could work for others like tarn or kaon. theres a lot of world weary mechs to go around so i like the idea of someone who isnt so jaded paired with this type of personality, i think it can be very cute.

im partial to maternal nurturing type reader inserts, but im not sure which mech is best paired with a personality like that. a soft mommy dom if you will. not submissive but breedable. along with this, a reserved quiet but thoughtful character who is secretly sort of dumb is cute. again not sure who they would bounce off of, but i like to imagine this reader insert takes care of alien plants and doesnt have an easy time interacting with others. a blunt dry humor. more of a comic relief type.

ratbat with someone who is very much a bystander on the nemesis, perhaps a no-name maintenance bot, but one thing leads to another and he relies on this mech to be his henchman and obvs theyre gonna listen to him he's their superior but also they arent Built Different they are very much built to standard code theyre not gonna pick a fight bc even ratbat could wipe the docking bay with them 😔 cannon fodder,,,, ratbat is happy just to have someone who wont fight him on this, so he starts to see them as less of a disposable and more of a nuisance (which IS a step up) i think this sort of dynamic is also cute for starscream with a newbie seeker. someone who will listen to him and polish his heel thrusters if he demands it without grumbling and thats rare to find so he treats them to,,, less shrieking than is usual for him. will not let you die on the battlefield even if he complains that saving you is a waste of his time.

sunstreaker and sideswipe in another rivals to lovers scenario, but i see this less as rivals and more as "hardnosed mech who is unrelenting in their principles really hates these two bullies"; starting out from them being absolute menaces and just awful (as per ush) to developing a soft spot for a mech who is just as stubborn and blunt as they are in their approach and who wont leave either twin to waste away on the battlefield from an injury even if theyre like,,, reeeeally awful to them. what can i say i think the twins would appreciate a show of loyalty and camaraderie even if they pretend they dont need that sort of thing.

optimus and a creepy little con. ive done a fill for a request like this. just optimus having a soft spot for this little weirdo who has too much interest in him.

in the same vein, bumblebee with a cutesy creepy little con. someone who is sort of his opposite? the bumblebee of the decepticons, if bumblebee terrified all his fellow autobots. falls in love with him for saving them or something and now they wont leave him alone. he is reluctant to admit theyre cute bc hes a loyal autobot and they also scare him.

im always open to more dynamics and tropes bc its pretty clear how i write, i need a base personality to write the reader insert off of and i dont like to leave it as "they love you and thats the most important aspect of your character" i just dont think being loved is an important trait for a character to have, its an important action for them to perform and for others to perform towards them but its not a good basis for a personality

i also love dynamics that can have a lot of depth and backstory added to them so i get a feel for where the reader has been and why they are the way they are (im not partial to shy types personalities tho bc i like more assertive characters that can move the plot more with their actions/words)

Lets get it straight:

Some ppl spamming Horikoshi's tweets are not actual Japanese ppl, but wrote it in Japanese so he would understand what they are saying (Japanese fandom tends to dislike leaks).

I have seen the 38 pages from a completely different account that seemed pretty random, one of those that says "ill delete in an hour" which has happened before; the most convincing thing about this is the amount of pages and how it looks at first glance pretty legit, with complex details but badly executed.

Besides the art looking pretty empty -there is just one slightly more detailed background, but its a small space and the rest has minimal effort to make it look like its a city- we need to keep in mind this could not be changed; in weekly released, some stuff changes as they are still working on things before a official release the chapter online, but this time we are talking about the publication of the volume. If we are supposed to believe these are real leaks, then it would just literally look like that. Empty. The other solution, in this hypothetical example, would be that these are old drafts or the first ones, but it doesnt make sense to me personally as the mistakes cant be just fixed adding more ink -you need to errase many parts.

Many things look dirty, not because of it being a leak -as you said, this is a weirdly clean full release- but because they add too much shadows in places that dont make that much sense. It also looks like multiple separate ppl worked on it, instead of being a clear teamwork where everyone has a particular job (like a messy group project).

At the same time two different pictures depicting the same scene with different qualities and styles were released. Small details like the suitcase, the seats, the seatbelts look pretty different, along with the drawing style. I dont remember if the person who showed the "full leaks" used both or just the right one, but its still weird that we have just two completely different formats (left one looks like it was a scan even with a watermark, and the right one is completely digital).

Hands weren't great, and many mistakes typical for artists happened but as we know, Horikoshi is the king of drawing hands, specially meaningful ones.

Some ppl are saying hj hsrs that horikoshi could just be taking revenge on SJ for not letting him make the actual ending he wanted, so he ended anything ppl could enjoy (no villains, no bkdk hero partners, no dadmight, no dadzawa, no hopeful message, no actual romantic handhold nor declaration of feelings...) but idk if he would do something like that and at the same time work with so much care in the redraws for the volume.

That reminds me, we supposedly got a full extra chapter, 38 pages, but we didnt get the leaks for all the redraws? As far as I know there are still more panels not revealed, and again, the volume is ready, in a few days ppl will be able to buy it.

The comments the leakers made feel so wrong to me... how this was so VERY WELL drawn and cute... when its empty, lacks emotional building and has so many drawing errors unlikely to happen with the high quality of the art. The whole Deku just beat all allegations, all of them... like making fun of shippers/ppl who like to hc him as queer? idk, its really weird.

A part of me believes it could be true -there are many pages and many complicated things to introduce like the suitcases that become hero suits- but at the same time this looks so bad, and goes against everything this whole series is about. How could this shit be approved, while working on making the other pages look even better? How could we just ignore the plus ultra message the last time? This isnt extra random content, this is a new chapter, 431. Where is it? where's bnha? this is a dj to hate on everyone while trying to keep it "realistic enough" to pass as real.

Like this looks like hori's old art style (or in some panels not at all like his art??) Like here's his re-draw of that one Deku scene compared to a scene in the epilogue

He said he didn't want a naruto ending,but he decided to give us one in the epilogue??? He said he wanted an ending like heroes rising,so he decided to contradict the whole damn movie for this epilogue????

Nothing makes sense about this. I have hope this isn't official,but honestly I'm starting to give up on Hori,and I don't like that. I always trusted him to write what he wanted,but what I've seen and read doesn't seem like Horikoshi's,it's not mha. It feels like a dudebro wrote this.

I really don't think this epilogue is going to be official,I HOPE it isn't,but I haven't much of a reason to think Hori wrote/drew this horse shit. Besides leakers saying so. And I don't really trust them very much,so I don't really have any reasons to think this is cannon.
