before you can dwell on it, uraume’s sharp, commanding voice slices through the conversation. then, uraume calls for your name and the room falls into uneasy silence as all eyes turn toward you.

“sukuna-sama has requested that you serve their dinner tonight,” uraume announces, stepping closer. their unreadable gaze seems to pierce through you as they hand you a neatly folded note. “he has written specific instructions.”

your heart skips a beat, anxiety tightening in your chest as you accept the note. unfolding it, you scan sukuna’s elegant, almost taunting cursive. the message is simple, with just one instruction:

1. stay in the room at all times.

how hard could that be?

as uraume, the guards, and yorozu leave the kitchen, you crush the note in your fist, its crumpled edges digging into your palm. the other servants gradually disperse, their whispers fading into silence, leaving you alone in the now eerily quiet space. the reality of the task ahead sinks in, bringing with it a sense of dread you can’t shake.

your anger flares as you stop assisting, the other maids’ laughter growing louder at yorozu’s harsh joke. the door swings open to reveal one of sukuna’s subordinates, who informs you that sukuna is returning from his mission. he orders you to head to the kitchen to prepare their food, while yorozu remains behind, awaiting her guard.

you rise with a mixture of relief and irritation, eager to escape the company of the insufferable women. with a quick nod to your superior, you leave the room, your frustration simmering as you make your way to the kitchen.

“sukuna-sama requested his food now,” uraume announces, arms crossed, as they stand behind you. you nod, feeling a bit overwhelmed. carefully, you pick up the heavy plate, and the other guards help you with the rest of the meal.

as you step out the doors, your heart sinks at the thought of carrying this enormous plate across the king’s estate. it feels like sukuna has a twisted sense of humour, making you struggle with the weight.

you adjust your grip every few seconds as your clammy hands slip on the silverware. you huff and whine, feeling the guards’ impatient stares. come on, come on, you mutter, each step feeling like a mile, while they look on as if your struggle is a matter of life and death.

finally, you reach the familiar double doors, adorned with skulls and bones, which are already slightly opened. the guards set the food down and turn to leave, leaving you alone with the heavy plate.

“a-are you not going to help me bring the food in?” you ask, your voice tinged with desperation. you’re carrying the heaviest plate, after all.

one of the guards turns slowly to glance at you. “king’s orders,” he replies coldly before resuming his stride down the dark hallway. you’re left standing there, feeling like you’re about to collapse under the weight, as the door looms ominously before you.

you mentally curse them as you place each plate inside his room. pausing to catch your breath, you suddenly feel his menacing aura engulf you, sending shivers down your spine. you shut the door once all the food is inside, and as you step further into the vast estate, you take in the ancient artifacts decorating the room.

a glint of red light catches your eye, drawing you toward the opaque sliding doors adorned with intricate ancient art. despite your initial purpose in the room, you find yourself irresistibly drawn to it. sliding open the door, you step inside.

there, in the center of the spacious room, is a large king-sized bed and—

my project pan (what i can) 2024

i'd say that i have a pretty small makeup collection, but sometimes it feels like i have just too much. i've got a lot of old stuff that aren't quite old enough to throw out but they've definitely been around for a bit. with the four (!) months left of 2024, im hoping to pan and finish off some of these! i like that project pan is loose enough to fit everyone's own needs and goals, and im hoping to achieve mine with this! i've decided to post my progress here just as a way to help keep me accountable (even if there's like two people following) but also to document my progress and hopefully give me the motivation to pan my other stuff!

my plan: on the 1st (ish) of each month, mark on the container how much product is remaining, as well as taking a picture to compare against the previous month's progress. if i finish or pan something before the 1st, then i'll also post that!

1. morphe 2, hint hint skin tint (hint of honey)

i absolutely LOVE this product!! it gives a nice sheer base without the feeling of a heavy face, and it's easy to apply! the only issue is that it's like 2-3 shades too light 💔 i can only justify getting a new one once this is almost finished, but it's like barely used so i wanna just get it done with asap

2. flower by drew, petal pout lip mask (berry-more)

i've had this for almost a year but barely used it. it's great, i love the colour, texture, and application, but it's just kinda been sitting around tbh. i just wanna use this up as a jumpstart to decluttering my insane lippie collection

3. burt's bees, tinted lip balm (red dahlia)

i will be taking burt's bee's lip balms to my grave. idk how many i've gone through but i absolutely love them. similar to the lip mask, this one has been sitting in my makeup bag for over a year. the funny thing is there's barely anything left, like i can finish it in two weeks max. just throwing this in here as hopefully a reminder that "if i can finish this, i can def finish the rest!"

4. maybelline, the nudes eyeshadow

this one is fs one of my oldest makeup products, like i don't even remember when/why i got it. it works well, i just think that some of the colours aren't the best for my skin tone (but i think i can work with them). this one is prolly going to be one of my longer panning projects (i'm feeling ~end of 2025) and it's time for a new nudes palette, so it's a good start that i've added it!

(apologies cause a lot of the picture qualities aren't that great and doesn't really show the products' true colours but i tried my best!)

come new year's i'll reevaluate these and maybe add some more! super excited to start and hopefully see some progress!! thank you to anyone who wants to stick around and watch <3

oh yikes! i think like... its worth it to sometimes address fatphobia in writing, but that kind of stuff 100% needs a warning! one of my current fic ideas involves a reader who is confident in her body but kinda relapses back to a previous mindset of 'maybe i Should be ashamed of it' after being fully insulted for being a bigger gal and the fic would absolutely have a warning.

Thank you so much for answering my prev. ask about Gojo, I'm happy you found my little rambling agreeable hehe cause i do try my best to be critical with reading and analyzing so ☺️(also I've just been going through your meta tags so I really felt the need to add my thoughts but yeah my ask was with an intent to agree with your Gojo metas!)

One other thing i wanted to ask, since this is shonen and all, but do you think that there will be any romantic subplots at the end or even before? I myself don't see anything happening because none of the characters had any indications nor hints except maybe Yuta and Maki. And SatoSugu well I won't even get into that 😭💔

Also pretty sure i saw somewhere where Gege said that there was only one romance subplot he could write which was Mechamaru and Miwa. Regardless, would love to hear your thoughts if you'd want to share them ofc! ☺️

Short answer: I really don’t see there being romance outwardly subplotted in this series going forward.

Long answer: It’s Post-Shibuya and we’re in the middle of the Games and [manga spoiler alert under the cut]

Kenjaku is causing mayhem and trying to sell sorcerers as a form of energy like…there’s no time for romance because there’s way too much chaos and too many characters are having to experience significant growth moments in these short two weeks following Shibuya and who knows what’s coming next after that last chapter.

These kids don’t even really have time to heal themselves (*stares at Kamo, Maki, and Hakari “I don’t have an arm but ‘tis only a flesh wound I’ll fix it in a sec” Kinji*) or really eat and sleep (except Megumi and Yuji, who only just now got to that point). Romance is gonna be hard to happen when you’re in constant flight or flight survival mode and trying to fight to get points to hopefully stop further chaos from ensuing.

The Kokichi/Miwa thing broke my heart at the start of Shibuya and I will never be over the way Gege managed to shift my opinion of Kokichi and Miwa from characters I felt kinda eh about, to ones I shed heavy tears over—especially Kokichi. (Don’t even get me started on the way he slowly went out in Shibuya and faded away in those walkie talkie coms like *screams and sobs* that was when I knew that arc was gonna be a lot, and it just kept getting more heartbreaking)

I will say that just because this is a shonen doesn’t necessarily mean there has to be romance or an endgame couple, especially when we consider the way Gege takes common shonen tropes or expectations and goes about them in a unique way.

I’m not a Yuta/Maki shipper but I respect everyone’s got their own fleet of ships and I think jjk is one of the few series where most of the ships make sense or are a “I can see how you ship that” pairing. And with StSg, the subtext there I’ve discussed before plenty of times. And then there’s the Kokichi/Miwa pairing and it kinda stands alone as plainly-stated romance of the series (and ahhh I know some may argue that stsg is plainly stated and their subtext borders on plain text but again I’ve discussed the pair before)

idk I’m rambling but basically I don’t think there’s gonna be romance in jjk going forward (and if there is, I’ll be hella surprised) and I think the whole Kokichi/Miwa pairing was the last love we’re gonna get at least until things have settled down.
