thinking about characters fursonas is always more fun to me than directly anthro-ifying them because it's not just a question of "what animal would they be" since before you can even ask that you have to figure out how they would pick a fursona, and i almost feel like that says more about a character than what animal they choose.

like. would they want an animal that represents their ideal self? something that represents how they see themself to be currently? and how well does that perception match up with these actual reality? or would they pick based on something less complicated like "favorite animal"/"movie character they liked”.

all that leadup to ask, how do you think your mvf guys would pick their fursonas?

💯💯💯 literally it's one of the most fun characterisation exercises you can do, it tells you SO much about them, how they view themselves, what they want others to think of them and so on. all that good stuff. and then you get to delve into furry subcultures, influential artists etc

so on to the actual fursoneys themselves

Jean-Baptiste - aforementioned hummingbird with a suit from idk clockworkcreature or something. the subculture/art style is realistic but very humanised, basically a bird head on a feathery human body, no wing-hands, with a Georgian style of dress (potentially with steampunk elements) and named after a famous scientist from the period. He would not be an artist, but he would be one of those ppl who's a bigtime engineer making huge money who invests heavily in commissions of art (usually traditional media like oils, colouring pencil, etc) and writing about this character, who is a kind of inventor/old-timey scientist with a highly detailed backstory and canon setting. He chose the hummingbird because it's beautiful, precise, and tenacious, and also just because he likes the 'rare fursona species' aura. He has VERY strong negative view on poodling (when someone wears a partial fursuit with their skin showing) and has been posting to the same old rp forum for the past 20 years. Rude and bitchy but one of those guys who always pays well and tips for commissions because money is no object. an important part of the economy

Bowman - exactly the opposite to everything above. His fursona is a retriever-ish dog called Dog or Mutt or something with a single-colour palette and the art style is new school big toothy grin etc. fursona exclusively wears board shorts. He draws at a beginner level and he's obviously having a blast with it. The muscles are very detailed (so's the bulge) & the art is clearly bara influenced, especially around the eyes. He wouldn't have any interest in suiting i don't think but you will find him at the furry rave in a neoprene harness. He wouldn't have much money to commission with and his twitter feed would be mostly reposts of other people's art (without permission)

Islin - ok you know that one genre of art style used exclusively by dragon furries where it's got realistic scale textures, backgrounds, and the ref sheets are usually incredibly detailed and the dragons in their anthro forms are always absurdly ripped. He can draw this, i know it in my heart. The design is pretty generic western dragon, all things considered, I don't think he has the imagination for more (sorry). Character's name is something appropriately fantasy-ish like Xyrgoryx. He could definitely take commissions as a side hustle but as a perfectionist and professional worrier it would overwhelm him easily. You would probably not find him at a convention at all, I'd say such spaces do not appeal to him. He's been on Furcadia tho.

Félix - generic twinky fox in a thin-lines washboard abs disney-inspired art style with an absurdly deep backstory which we never get to see because the character is only ever drawn being railed. He can draw but more importantly he knows how to take the commissioner's money and run, delete his account, and remake under a different username. Was able to afford a fullsuit from Made Fur You and that alone gave him enough clout to continually avoid allegations of past misbehaviour. Every so often someone goes "hey isn't that a known scammer" when they see him at a con but it never sticks. Later he would get cancelled immediately for saying he "didn't care about" right-wing furries as long as their art was cute.

Senca - Almost certainly a feline-based original species or hybrid. The art style is very goldenwolf with spiritual/neopagan influences, mostly traditional media and ACEOs in oil pastel so it's got a kind of smudgy look. Her character has the same name as her and she considers it a 'truesona' of sorts. She's an established artist and well-respected but struggles to keep up with what Tha Youth are doing and her personal website has looked the same since the year 2006. She has a realistic partial suit but doesn't wear it much anymore, preferring to vend at the dealer's den instead. She always knows way too much gossip about any given person you could point out to her but she insists she isn't involved in what she'll delicately & vaguely refer to as 'drama'.

Léa - she was attracted by the promise of easy entry into a supportive and friendly readymade community and bought an expensive Closed Species design to be her fursona. She tried to participate in events but instead got sucked into a cesspit of petty warfare between her CS community and a very similar CS with design elements that may have been inspired by hers (after all, 'dog with kinda long pointy ears and a big fluffy tail' is VERY copyrightable). She goes along with it, afraid of losing her space in the panopticon discord community by voicing a dissenting opinion and it'll eat her up from the inside. until one day she wakes up and realises she paid €400 to gossip and participate in a group that bans you from adding horns to your fursona's head (a legendary trait restricted to the CS owner and their favourite sycophants) whose main form of bonding ritual seems to be reposting their enemies' art to mock it and colour-pick to prove the palettes were copied. She explains all this to Bowman in one big tearful rant on their first offline date at Eurofurence and he helps her get away from that community.

Helena - that was her copyrighted closed species. and she IS litigious about it.

Erica - it's a pine marten in a modern sketchy "just got an ipad and procreate" style, really cute, fun design, good coordinating outfit, honestly ticks all the boxes but then 5 days after he posts that awesome themed ref sheet he's got a brand NEW fursona and this time it's a cute lil jackdaw, again lovely design all around looks great but wait no in 5 days time it's a roe deer, no wait it's an otter, it's a gecko, it's a

Pascal - a sick as hell cartoony golden eagle with an electric guitar and sunglasses and you can imagine it airbrushed onto the side of a campervan because that's where it lives. he's strictly offline, doesn't know what a furry is, never been on twitter, but he is 100% certain in his heart that this bird is a true representation of himself

The second time he met her was in a dungeon. Being the weakest Yoojin was mistreated a lot, here it wasn't any different either. He was being pushed around beaten up and degraded. That's when he heard the voice, the angelic voice

He looked up to see her, Y/N L/N a D rank healer, the same person from the cafe, who was busy healing the injured. she was quite famous for her kindness and brutalness. She was running towards them with hardened gaze and a frown on her face

"What is happening her- OH MY GOD! ARE YOU OKAY??." She asked worriedly while casting a healing on him.

"Its nothing, we were just having fun. Right... Yoojin?" some d rank hunter said looking at Yoojin

"Cut the crap, I saw. And we are leaving." Her cold voice sent shivers down the other hunters's spine, as she grabbed Yoojin's hand and started walking away with him.

That was when the obsession begin.....

Yoojin had created walls around his heart, and never trusted anyone. But you stared to slowly but surely break those walls and make your way into his heart.

At the end of the second month Yoojin decided to go meet Yoohyun. And Yoojin and Yoohyun ended up arguing. After a few weeks of the break up Yoojin decided to go in a D rank dungeon.....

But the 3 headed S class monster the Dragon appeared.....

But Yoohyun and Y/N also arrived to save Yoojin

Y/N died protecting both Yoohyun and Yoojin because she knew how much they ment to each other, but Yoohyun also died.

The day Yoojin lost his mind.... And defeated the dragon.

Y/N lost conciousness with him meeting the Actual Dragon. You suffered with him all the torture just because you couldn't leave him alone.....

After that incident Yoojin had decided it is no longer safe for you to go in dungeons any more but you won't listen, so there is only one way to top you

Fic takes place: Grammy Awards.

It was the kind of night you dreamed about as a kid. You had started as a child actor but music was always your first love.

You were still riding the high from your most recent album's success, and tonight you'd been nominated. On top of that, you and Jack had been asked to perform together.

You had been adjusting your outfit in your dressing room until your manager, May, stormed in, you knew by the look on her face, something had gone very wrong.

She explained to you footage of Jack in a club had just been posted all over the internet. The article was posted not even 10 minutes ago. It showed footage from the previous weekend when he was meant to be finishing his last tour date. One of the few concert dates you hadn’t been been able to attend.

There were two grainy clips, in the first he could be seen dancing with a woman. In the second, he was in the lounge with friends as the same woman was sitting in his lap.

You stared at the screen, the videos beginning to play in a loop. You couldn't believe it. This is exactly why you had ignored his advances for so long. He had promised you over and over that you wouldn't ever have to feel this way.

May attempted to calm you down. She was worried about you but it was clear she wanted you to follow through with the performance. It would be great publicity, everyone would be watching, listening and analyzing your body language. The performance was guaranteed to go viral before but now it would be for a whole different reason. It irritated you to no end that all she was talking about was this performance. You didn't want to unleash your anger on the wrong person. You got up to leave, ignoring May's objections.

Your mind was going a mile a minute. You rushed to his dressing room, your heels clicking sharply against the polished floor.

"Jack, we need to talk," your voice low but fierce. The few friends he had in the room didn't need to hear more. They quietly exited avoiding your gaze.

He turned from the mirror, his brow furrowing. "What’s going on, babe?"

"Check your fucking socials, Jack," you snapped at him. "You swore this wouldn't happen."

Jack reached for his phone but deep down he feared he knew exactly what you were talking about. It didn't take long to see several notifications warning him about the footage. Jack froze.

Jack ran a hand through his hair, feeling every bit of exhaustion he’d been carrying over the past few months. He could see the disappointment in your eyes.

"Am I prop to you?" You questioned him.

He shot you a look of genuine confusion. He didn't know what to say. What were you getting at?

"Was this ever a real relationship to you? Or did you just want to further your career by dating y/n?" You had secretly been wondering this since the start. It was something you had to question anytime you met someone new.

You have been in this industry since you were a kid. Your name meant something. You weren't feeling this way due to an overblown ego. It was years of experiencing this same type of betrayal.

"What the fuck, y/n?" Jack was exasperated by the accusation. "What kind of person do you think I am?"

"Just be fucking honest with me," you plead.

“You want the truth?” he asked, the words racing out before he could stop them. “The truth is, maybe I'm not the fucking guy everyone wants me to be. There's so much pressure. And it’s so fucking lonely on the road. I know it's wrong and I messed up, y/n.”

"You're not the only one with pressure, Jack," You felt your eyes tearing up. "I've told you how it was to be a kid in this industry, the feeling doesn't change, the expectations don’t change, I thought at least we'd have each other's backs now."

“I know,” he spoke quietly. “ And I’m sorry. I can’t even tell you how much I’ve been regretting it. But this tour… the shows, the crowds, I just- I lost sight of what really matters. You matter, y/n. I need you.”

“I don’t know if I can do this,” you confessed. “I don’t know if I can be with someone who doesn’t respect me. Who lies. Who makes me feel like I’m not enough.”

Jack felt a lump form in his throat. His mind raced, searching for the right words.

“Please, y/n. I’m not asking for your forgiveness right now. I don’t deserve it. But I’ll work for it. If you let me, I’ll show you that I can be the man you thought I was.”

Your eyes softened for a moment, but your arms remained crossed tightly over her chest. You were fighting the urge to fall into his arms, to give in to the love you felt for him. But it wasn't just the cheating, it was your brand, your legacy, everything you'd been taught to protect.

Your eyes quickly glanced over at the clock, and Jack's gaze followed. You were both supposed to go on stage soon.

“Can we talk after the show?” he suggested.

Jack thought you were about to say something but door swung open, the show manager gave a sigh of relief at the sight of you, “Five minutes to showtime, guys. Follow me”.

You turned to follow. You could hear Jack's steps slowly behind you. As you got closer, you could hear the noise of the crowd getting louder. You knew very well you could put on a facade to please them.

As you two walked onto the stage, you immediately put on your best smile and let your real life fade into the back.

Vice Versa rewatch ep 11

I can’t believe we’re at the penultimate episode!!!

Episode 11 is Real Red. Because now that they’re in love, nothing can keep them apart! They are passionate about their love and it gives them the strength to persevere! 💪🏽

Puen screaming out Talay’s name when he wakes up in the ambulance will always have me sobbing into my hands!!! 😭💔

So this is where the questions come in! If Tun was the one to dream and not Puen, does that mean Puen didn’t learn his intended lesson? I refuse to believe that because he did change for the better from who he was before the switch. I think maybe his last step before dreaming was telling Talay his real name. Maybe if he had gotten the chance to do it he would’ve dreamt that night too.

And we know that they don’t both have to learn their lessons in order to switch back because Tess has not been changed for the better when he and Talay switch back. Maybe he’s not exactly the same guy he was before the switch but he’s definitely not out there living his or Talay’s best life with the new lessons he’s learned 😒 I believe he definitely didn’t learn his lesson there.

Maybe Tess was meant to learn his lesson after the switch back though? Maybe Talay’s life wasn’t worth enough to him but clearly his own would be. And seeing how much Talay improved it would make him want/have to work hard to keep it that way. Idk man 🤷🏽‍♀️ they left some stuff up to interpretation in the end but I like to think he did end up changing for the better afterwards.

Ok setting aside the serious and being silly for a second, I would’ve loved to see Talay recognize Puen’s name written in the dirt and just have an over-the-top outward OMG moment like:

“wait Brad Pitt!? THE Brad Pitt!? I’m dating Super Famous A-List Actor Brad Pitt!?”

Now I’m devastated because Puen keeps coming back to check if Talay has switched yet and Talay keeps coming back to see if the tide is low enough for him to travel yet and they’re both doing everything they can to get back to each other again but it’s literally just a waiting game at this point and there’s nothing they can do to speed things up! 😭

I’M CRYING REAL ACTUAL TEARS!!! Because we see that the glass house back in episode 4 is when Puen first fell in love with Talay! And he said the first thing he’ll do when he switches back is look for Talay because his only dream is to be with him, and as much as he answered with “gross” Talay agrees that the first thing he’ll do is look for Puen too and he’s so desperate to get back to him that he runs straight into the water which is what almost killed him the first time around and when finally he gets to the island he dreamt about he collapses exhausted but holds his pinky out because he’s keeping their promise to do everything to find each other and be together!!!

And I’m crying real actual tears because this show is top tier LOVE like I’ve never seen before!!! 😭😭😭 nothing matters but them being together!!!

Talay woke up in his world with his pinky out too 🥹 he’s keeping that promise no matter what!

I remember someone on here mentioning the art on Talay’s walls had all the colors of the episodes, with the last ep’s color still missing (to not spoil it before we could see it). Thank you internet super sleuths!

Talay’s crying face as he sees his mom again for the first time in TWO YEARS!! 😭

And now he has to rebuild his life again cause Tess ruined everything. But luckily this is a show with a happy ending and he is able to get his friends and his dream job back! I’ll always be mad at Tess for ruining things tho 😒 he never did better in this world, for Talay or himself.

After many failed attempts they finally reunite in their glass house of love!!! Talay says “Ai Dang!” and of course Puen knows exactly what he means cause he remembers everything about him!!

Their faces and their tears and the beautiful theme song playing in the background!!! They finally found each other again and I’m blinking my tears away so I can see better!!! 😭😭😭

They again counted the minutes and seconds cause every moment apart was agony 😭

But nothing can stop them now cause they love each other so much!! Fade to black on this beautiful moment!! 🥹❤️

And of course afterwards we get another Lays Moment™️ featuring Puen being horny for his mans! We love to see it! 🤭

Rewatching episode 11 just brought a flood of emotions back to me and I started crying watching it. Their love is just so big and passionate and the way they love and need each other gets me every time!! 🥹🥰

Barty and evan dated for 2 and a half years and they were THE couple and everyone loved them, barty would make or Talk things Related to evan on his concerts and even has a song for him and how they meet and Everything on one of his albums (think margaret by lana del rey mixed with envy the leaves by madison beer) and evan would make lives and lit talk about barty for like 3 hours straight and people would think its the cutest ever

Idk But I think they break up But not because evan got bored or didnt feel loved or they had problems or fights, no, he just break yo with barty cause yeah and move on cause he has the mindseat of "if I did this I dont know why would I Regret it, I Wouldnt have done it if so" so he did that and pack his things But left barty a scrapbool with All of their photos since they meet and a camera wich barty gifted to him For his birthday

Barty never got with evan did it even tho evaned to him why, he was heartbroken and cried for a whole month on regulus' guest room cause his shared room with evan on their apartment had too many memories, he wrote songs for evan after the break up But most of them he never realesed them, he didnt realized when he was begging evan not to Leave him he would Never get over evan

And i think Amos and evan would still be dating and people Are a lot more suportive of them and liked them a lot more than before and barty would go to a random podcast channel to promote his music and that But they asked a question of "after your break yo with evan you haven't been with anyone else even tho he didnt even need 5 months to do so, why is that?" and yeah ve got annoyed a little at that But he told the truth "im super happy for Amos and evan actually I think they make a great couple and they looks like the love each other and will take care of each other, I will never forget what I say to evan that night things ended, I said it that night, I will say it now and i will say it again “evan rosier I loved you for many years, I love you now and i dont think I will ever not love you... just so you know” and yes i loved evan then, now and i will always love him"
