Maybe Jungkook spent too much time working on his muscles that he forgot to work on his depth and nourish his soul. 🫣 Lol, sorry if that sounded harsh but I'm just saying. All of us have diff preferences and not everyone enjoys reading, but there's a reason I'm attracted to Jimin (and Namjoon). Those two explore the world through reading. It helps build depth, gives you a deeper perspective of the world, and feeds your soul. Whereas we know JK doesn't enjoy reading and maybe will just pick a book once in a while. He just doesn't seem to be the type to broaden his knowledge and character. Idk? Okay I'll shut up now 🤐

Jungkook also doesn't have the attention span to learn new things. Or learn things that don't interest him. And the things that DO interest him are usually superficial shit.

It's more like he focuses on surface level things. He doesn't seem like he tries to go in depth of his own self or try to understand his own self. He just picks up traits from other people around him and runs with it without creating his own uniqueness.

So yeah he is superficial. And I think taehyung is the same.

I don't know about jin because jin has never shown much of his personality other than his funny side. And I'm pretty sure he has so much more to him but he doesn't feel like showing it to us which is fine.

Whereas members like jimin, namjoon, hobi and yoongi(I don't like him) they are more into building themselves up. You know improving themselves. Looking at things with more depth. They are what you call mature. I think jin is pretty mature too but he only shows his fun side. While yoongi is insensitive sometimes, he does say some wise things from time to time.

So these are the members who are likely to look within themselves and find ways to improve themselves.

While taehyung is superficial too. He wants to be a socialite but doesn't actually work on music. Like he doesn't seem passionate about it at all and just likes being popular. You know wanting to stay in the lime light. And he rarely seems to be a deep kind of person iykwim.

Same with jungkook. He's superficial and he focuses on surface level things. He seems like someone who looks at other celebrities who he finds cool, or he looks are the latest trends going on and follows them just because he thinks it will make him look cool. He just doesn't try to find something within himself that will make him unique or different from others. He just goes along with what everyone is liking these days. You know trying to fit in.

At least that's what I've observed.

Also age I feel like is just a number. You don’t really get wiser or mature with age for some people. my opinion on this is would jm take a readymade song/songs be it in English/korean? Yes but would jm take a a whole album for his debut album which was give the description as "album inspired by his golden moments" then No. Proof? Face.

I'm very sure in future jm will release songs in English too so that's never a argument. About jm giving inputs in his songs then he does give inputs in his songs be it a melody or dance itself. we know serendipity was choreographed by Brian but Brian himself said that some of the parts of the choreographies were done by jm himself brian didn't choreographed those parts. I mean he's a main dancer of the group and he pretty much takes his solo perfomances dance wise very seriously so I'm sure he gives inputs in all his choreograhies. I'm sure jk must have given input vocal wise in many of his solo songs and i do know my time choreo was also done by himself. About styling seven I'm sorry but literally after every concept photos of seven armys were reminded of jm's album concept cause it was that similar. now idk if that was because jm-jk has same taste or it was their styling team but alot of clothes were similar. But I'm simply gonna blame it on stylists..

About CD restocks then jm could have got more than Taylor's cause the gap wasn't impossible to close but they never restocked LC's CDs after the first week (and since then fans have been trending tags and tagged Geffen to look in the matter) but they did it many times for seven so if the time period is diff so the comparison is unfair i think with this difference in restocking the comparison is also unfair.

And you're right that they wanted someone to take the album they'll give and make it successful jk had no problem and jm was was doing his own thing. Now the point is not if they would have asked jm and made the album successful and had given all jk's collab to jm the point was why not also support and give him some basic support (like giving some playlist cause his songs weren't even added in this is BTS playlist, fans had to tag them in tweets and many other things) the member who's also very popular in the US based on their previous solo releases.

All other members' Album were under hybe and jk's was under hybe America (i think so) so the difference in treatment is Maybe because of that. But i simply hope jm's next album or project is treated better than this and as they're extending to LATAM market too hope jm get's more push there cause he's very popular there. I just don't want his potential to get waste just because his company was being a bitch.

But Jungkook also made changes to the Seven choreo, for example. And we know he chose at least some of his looks for the first Seven photoshoot - the stylists confirmed it.

I kind of resent the implication that the only reason Jungkook was given Seven was because Jimin wasn't available and wouldn't just accept an English song. I'm pretty sure Jungkook was Bang PD and SB's first choice, regardless of him being free or willing to release an English song.

And, yes, this is getting us nowhere, so let us drop this argument. I wish for Jimin to have better treatment next time as well.

For me, Lou's lyrics are pretty easy to interpet & I usually can get the message he is attempting to convey. Because he writes so candidly, you know? He really opens up and is so raw & real. That's not to say Haz isn't, I just feel like even in his songwriting, he hides his true sentiments behind embellished, overly elaborate, obscure metaphors. I feel most musicians use that space to finally let go & feel liberated to really right straight from the soul, y'know? Like Lou, he would never say the

+ things he does in songs out loud but he just lets himself go completely and it's beautiful. I think Haz is a phenomenal lyricist & I adore him to bits but I feel sad he is still so unwilling to be truly vulnerable & open with us y'know? I want to know Harry, I'm sick of Harry Styles™ the brand, the facade. The only song of Lou's that still stumps me is Miss You. I don't think you can just conclude anything based on one song but looking at HS1 too, sure it could be just fighting and drifting

okay well FIRST OF ALL, you are ALWAYS welcome to come rant to me goodness knows I would LOVE to hear from someone else who adores lyric analysis as much as I do! If you’re looking for anyone else to chat with, @louciernagas has some amazing analysis of her own and also adores song lyrics and might have a different take than mine! But here’s my take:

I think Harry processes stories differently than Louis, and I think it really really shows in their songwriting. For example, Harry had “raconteur” as his Twitter bio for a while, I’ve heard. ‘Raconteur’ is ‘storyteller’ in French, and my conclusion from that is that he likes to see himself as a storyteller. So he mostly writes abstract notions and large pictures and feelings and ideas that he’s felt over the years, and when he fills it in, he’s telling a story. It’s easier for him, I think, to process things if he can remove himself from it. If you look at the first draft lyrics for Lights Up that Tyler Johnson spilled the other month, they read, “lights can’t know their way out the dark running through your heart. Lights can’t help you know who you are. Do you know who you are?”. The final draft of this line reads “All the lights couldn’t put out the dark running through my heart. Lights up and they know who you are. Do you know who you are?”. I think it’s worth mentioning that the primary difference between the first version of this song and this one is the addition of a first-person pronoun in the final draft. 

Either way, this song would have been about him, and HIS self-discovery and HIS liberation, right? But the way that he chose to write it at first was without placing himself into the story. And like...I think he does that a lot. And then, of course, he does the reverse, too. He says “I” did this or “I” did that and it may not be him at all. I’ll tell you a funny trend I’ve noticed is that the songs that seem most personal to him are about someone else in broad strokes, or about himself in broad strokes. But I think it’s because it’s easier for him to tell true stories if he doesn’t have to say that they’re about him. 

For Louis, I would say it’s the reverse: he HAS to make his stories about himself because it’s the only way he CAN tell his stories. He’s learned to use his words as a weapon against everyone who thought he was too young, not good enough, not kind enough, too stupid, that he didn’t have enough star power, etc. He’s ALWAYS had to prove them wrong, and the only way he had was his music. So he SAID that they would go out and drink cheap wine until sunrise and that they lived in this *specific* apartment complex and that he would tell the truth if his partner wanted him too. He SAID that he’d like to go to the pub every sunday, if he could (and I think the music video for JLY even names the pub haha), that the reason he has done every single thing he has is for the other person. He HAD to say it, not for us, but for himself. HE had to tell the stories he needed to, and he did. And THAT is what makes his album - and all of his songs - so so special to me. They have that element of “fighting back” as well as of telling stories. 

I, personally, tell stories like Harry does. I like to talk about things I know or have experienced as if I’m coming at them from a different angle, because it’s easier on my heart that way, sometimes. Sometimes, the only way I have to say the truest things I know are to make someone else say them or to talk about them as if it were about another person. That’s kind of what fantasy is, in a way. It’s what storytelling is. But I *so* admire the autobiographical quality that Walls has to it, because I would be terrified. 

And as for ‘do I think they broke up?’ I’m very very much in the “who cares” camp - just like you! Maybe? Maybe they did in 2016 at some point. But like...as evidenced by the entire quarantine (and the last like..year and a half), they aren’t broken up NOW, and that’s what I’m gonna go on. And everything else doesn’t really matter, you know? The rest is confetti.
