Hello there!

You may be referring to my old comic series “Hell Hath No Fury” (also referred to as “HHNF”) which I started YEARS ago but never finished drawing. It was not Boom!Amy though. It’s an older version of the Modern!cast.

If that is the one you’re talking about, I have good news for you (and everybody else). I am going to start that back up soon!

I’ve changed a lot from the original script moving forward but I actually think it’s going to be way better now than it originally was. I have a new passion for that project again and I’ve had a bunch of new ideas for it and have been scribbling down new script notes in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep haha.

I don't think I've seen this posted on Tumblr before, so I'll go ahead and share it. I took this screenshot while making gifs a minute ago.

From this screenshot, we can glean a few interesting things. Yuri's birthday is June 8th, 2002, Kasumi's is July 1st, 2002, and Kumi's is September 11th, 2002. This makes them a Gemini, a Cancer, and a Virgo respectively. Kumi is the only one without a summer birthday, though with climate change, September may as well be a part of summer in many parts of the world where it wasn't previously.

Also, they all have type AB blood (misspelled as "brood," since Japanese doesn't really have the sound the letter "l" makes in English). In Japan, blood type analysis occupies a similar cultural space as astrology does in the Anglosphere. According to this article from waldenu.edu, those with type AB blood are thought to be "cool, controlled, rational, and adaptable" yet also "critical, indecisive, forgetful, and irresponsible." However, it's obvious that western astrology plays a part here, since many intelligent, rational anime characters have September birthdays that fall within the Virgo window, as Kumi does. Ok so I’ve been like really excited to do this I don’t know why but this is I think controversy? I don’t know how controversy works but this is how it happened.

I am 12 yrs old, My height is 5,1 and holy shit wanna kms but I am 130 pounds. This will flucate and idk how to spell it but it’s like a line with a dot in the front or end and it goes left to right so I flucate to 130 to 140 I hate that.

I was always a fat kid and I’ve hated it, I understand that I didn’t care about my weight but when I was like what 8 to 9 whenever my dad would say cow to me in taqvaylit I don’t know how to write it but I know something’s like amcic or tizizwith or afkroune which is cat, bee and turtle in that order. I would feel self conscious and sometimes cry to because I’m very sensitive which is like cringy i know lol. My heaviest had to been this year like 140 pounds but I think it was water weight and shit. Anyways my mom tried to get me to fast and she would force me or smth maybe not force but like tried to get me to lose weight. She’d say it directly and it would always make me feel bad but like I understand being 130 for like 8 yrs or 9 to 12 is very heavy and embarrassing considering I always saw kids would be more skinner than me I’d feel very bad. Until recently like last year in 6th grade I was reading fanfics of a human au of TMNT i didnt know what ED’s were so when it showed up the word bulimia I thought it meant bullshit but it didn’t sound right so I searched it up and saw the symptoms that’s when I also learned about anorexia and pica etc. When I saw the symptoms I started copying them now this is the part that I think is controversy I copied the symptoms which I know was bad but I was fucking lazy and still am couldn’t do a workout for the life of me or restrict food, I was used to eating a lot and when I saw the symptoms I copied them and they worked!! I loved it and then the minute I knew how to starve myself, I actually don’t know how to continue with that but I didn’t know how much of a deeper hole I got into but I really loved it and still do EMBARRASING. I did do exercise I did like 100 sit ups a day which did nothing but it did make my body ache and stopped, 5th grade was the worst out of all my grades for now but 6th might be second but it wasn’t that bad just a lot of crying and seeing how fat I am made me cry that’s it. Now if I don’t starve at all or try too I would feel like shit. In 6th grade I also saw that purging was a symptom so I made myself throw up but only if I ate way to fucking much and I’m so bloated it hurts and I can’t take the pressure so I throw up just to take off a little pressure and go back but then I’d feel sick which sucked :C. When Ramandan came though I was A BEAST not an actual beast but like it was my oppertuinity to fast without anyone questioning because I live in a studio apartment with 5 other people that are my family >_<. Obviously with my blabber mouth which I hate told everything to my mom but I think she thinks that I’m ok now :D. Any way I’d only eat 5 tablespoons of soup every night and I was very tired and I lost 6 pounds!! Which isn’t a lot but I made it to 124 pounds!! But then I gained it all back in summer break, cried, tried to fast for 3 days but fainted on the 36 hour?? I’m not sure because when I stopped the fast because my mom told me to eat and spoiler alert I cried cause I have little bitchitas if u know Kubz scouts u know. I paused at the 38 hour so like 36 is my highest to fast which is embarrassing again. ANYWAY NOW IM IN 7TH GRADE STUGGLIJG EITH THIS THINGY :]] I sound like those I guess I deserve it heh thing but like no I’m not seriously I just wanted to be silly. Anyway I’m gonna try that ABC diet which I think seems kind of mid to hard but I think fitnesspal would help me with it <33

So my mom is considered legally blind and the other day, she told me her prescription and uh… I thought she’d be like a -10.00. No. She’s much closer to my most recent prescription (from early 2022) than I thought and it kind of terrifies me because I already know I will be legally blind eventually. It just makes a bitch nervous even tho I haven’t been able to see since… well fuck, maybe 5th grade??? I started squinting around then and got glasses in 6th grade after a few ocular migraines from straining to see. I tried just contacts for a while but that was not sustainable bc a bad day putting them in would be fatal lol. Some days, your eyes just do not want contacts. They just ain’t having them. And my eyes are rlly dry and I’d fall asleep in them mfs bc I wanted to see even in bed :’) idk man I just know having extremely impaired vision is scary.

"keep it near" had such a choke hold on me. it was born of an offhanded discussion in the justified discord so long ago and a love of southern gothics and detective stories. i still love it sm but idk if i'll ever have the steam to revisit it. maybe when i rewatched true detective s1 it'll just pour outta me tho, who knows.

What are your writing strengths?

dialogue. i think i'm pretty good at back and forths between two characters that are saying something other than what they mean. i enjoy writing dialogue that is more revealing in what isn't being said. p.g. wodehouse also taught me a lot about tone in dialogue and witty back and forths that i really enjoy and think i have a pretty good grasp on writing those sorts of exchanges.

i also like to think i'm pretty good at carrying a tone through a story. giving something a general vibe. usually a haunted angsty vibe but still, it's an energy.

What are your writing weaknesses?

probably so many things. i don't like most of my fics that are up currently (with the exception of "keep it near" and probably "stay with me"), but we're all our worst critics. I feel that i struggle with writing action, motion, etc. i never want a scene that lacks dialogue to come across as "and then," "and then," etc, you know what i mean?

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

iffy. i feel like it can come across as jarring to a reader if they have no idea what they're even looking at. i've included snippets of russian in a wip, which i have been studying for quite a while, but i still fear it might come across as clunky.

Honestly being taught media literacy just depends on the teacher you have. I had a teacher in the 6th grade who loved to get us talking about stuff and thinking about it. She would have us think critically about all the characters and their motivations, and wether we thought one of them was wrong and why. Next grade I had an english teacher who didn't give a shit and just had us read something and never speak a word about it, it was just something you had to do to pass the class

Oh I know, I’m sure a good teacher could really get the ball rolling there. The thing is almost all my English teachers across 3 schools had the same habit of caring more about proving the validity and beauty of their own interpretations, which I get! But like!!! It was really annoying!! Some were better at it than others, letting kids talk more & stuff. But the worst of them made class a slog.

The main one who didn’t do the forced interpretation thing so much was this really sweet old lady who was very nice and got us snacks but also we spent a lot of time watching movies lol.

But in her class I basically figured out that I was against the death penalty cuz of independent research time I did for a paper, and that’s how I figured out that I didn’t trust the government and the death penalty doesn’t really help victims and all that stuff.

But that’s the exception to my experiences with English teachers (had like, at least 6 of them? Maybe more? And 2 of them were actually kinda helpful to my memory, but one of those classes was a poetry class that was elective so idk)

Also that might’ve been cuz she didn’t really care what we did as long as we we’re participating? So I had time to look into a subject I’d already been studying/thinking about (the death penalty)

It’s also possible that her not caring let me get more comfortable in her class faster than other classes- which could have really affected my performance because I was basically a feral child before I was thrown into high school and that is only kind of an exaggeration. (I didn’t speak to anyone outside my immediate family for years before high school. it was not a pretty sight)

So like, at the end of the day maybe the teacher who had us watch 3 different versions of Romeo and Juliet in class was the best one????

No but fr, generally I do agree it depends on teacher, but I disagree with the idea that the format of English class itself teaches you those things in meaningful ways. Idk how syllabus are decided on but I don’t really think the assignments are super great at things like teaching you to spot misinformation & stuff.

I read the first one in like... i guess it must've been 5th or 6th grade, and i think i liked it but i'm not sure if i really processed that it was a series or if i just never got around to reading the rest of it or what, but i only ever read the first book (also i read it translated and it's been too long and i was a kid back then so i have no idea whether the translation was of any kind of reasonable quality, and in any case only the first seven novels of the series have been translated at all)

but given that what little i've seen of Horowitz's work (like a few episodes of the third season of Robin of Sherwood - which i'm otherwise kind of obsessed with anyway, lol) i have mostly liked, i feel like maybe this is my sign that i should give the books another try? idk man i'm just rambling

not to diss the woman who was the reading aid for the elementary schoolers (idk what her official job was who are the people who help the struggling students lol?) who did the remedial reading classes for me but she was super nice and all but istg i don't associate her with my reading skills suddenly shooting me to the tops of my classes in middle school. like i kinda give myself the credit for learning to love reading. my mom always says she made a huge difference in my reading skills, which maybe she did i can't remember i was like 8 or 9 when i was in her classes, but tho like even i got "better" at reading from a pen and paper perspective, i still hated reading lol. nothing she did really made me a better reader in my opinion, but sure i could test a bit better and idk. answer and pose better questions about a text we read, but i hate that the adults around me barely did anything to address the root problem: i thought reading was boring. no one ever tried to help me figure out what i really liked to read, i did that all by myself and devoured book after book all summer before 6th grade and "suddenly" was a good reader. and everyone was like wow those remedial classes helped so much :) like no they didn't!! i did that :/

Bro do you know what would be so silly goofy? If I made characters from literature that I really like(Frankenstein & The Catcher in the Rye mainly) in Sims 4. God that would be funny...so silly goofy!! Maybe Romeo and Juliet but tbh I read that in like freshmen year and I did really like it but I don't remember most of like the details of it. Same goes with the Outsiders, God that was good but I don't remember most of what happens.

I don't really like it. Yes I know it's an important story about society and censorship over information and such. Cliche plot is a bit cliche but whatever, the plot is fine. But the characters bro? The characters??

None of them are *horrible* but omg it might just be because dystopian fiction has grown a lot since the book's release but everyone is soooo boring. Like Montag is quite literally just your every man who learns about the evil of society. His wife is just the person to show what society's effect on people are. Beatty is a little interesting since he's a hypocrite but...still idk. Clarisse is just the one who makes Montag question his society. Yknow what I mean? The characters feel more like archetypes or plot devices then fully developed characters.

I realize now that might be the point since everybody is supposed to be the same, if so, nice. I still don't like it but I can mayhaps see the purpose of it.

I think I like narratives where yes there is a plot but the characters are...characters with thoughts and emotions and you see how the plot effects them heavily. Goodness especially with Frankenstein, you *see* how much distress Victor is in after he creates his creature. In The Catcher in the Rye, I won't give spoilers, but you *see* his distress *a lot* as the plot happens. That's what interesting to me and that's what I feel was lacking in Farenheit 451 to make it personally interesting to me.

Not to say it was horrible, so 6.5/10 or so. It's far from the worst book I've ever read.

Now, I don't really know if it's the worst book I've read, but the worst reading expierence I had with a book was The Hobbit. I think this was only because I had no idea what was going on and because I was in 6th grade when I read it so yknow. Whose to say? I might enjoy it if I actually paid attention lol bc Frankenstein was kinda hard as shit to understand at points but damn the story was on top, so maybe the same is true for The Hobbit.

Uh...let's see what other options? Of Mice and Men & To Kill a Mockingbird, I liked both of them but not an extradonory amount. But Curly's wife is so sad :( and when we watched the film.movie everyone was waiting in anticipation with *the* scene w/Lenny and her, if yk yk.
