Summary: When Jafar took over the kingdom, he held Princess Jasmine and tried to seduce/ convince her into becoming his queen. Now that Jamil has taken over the dorm your in a similar situation.

Notes: Y/N is G/N. We need a Genie so we got a Genie! The Genie I’m using is my oc made up on the spot for this story he attends RCA but transferred to NRC to be with Kalim. Name is Gene. I’ll draw something later. He’s scared of Jamil.

3rd Person POV

       “Now now Y/N don’t be that way.” Jamil says smoothly with a cunning look in his eyes. “Why not give into temptation.” That look on his face made you sick. He pulled you closer with his staff. While you struggled to stay away from him. “What temptation” you said in his face. “Oh it pains me to see you like this Y/N~” he strained the last word ever so carefully. “A beautiful desert bloom such as yourself should be on the arm of the most powerful man in the world.” He conjured a crown adored with jewels and gems you’ve only seen in books. “What do you say darling, why with you ruling by my si-“ Your eyes widened. “Never” you splashed the wine in his face. 

       “I'll teach you some respect,” Jamil said with poison in his mouth. “No. Genie I have decided to make my final wish.” “A-Actually it’s Gene” Gene feared Jamil even more than he did before. “Do I care NO!” Jamil yelled. “For my final wish, I wish for Y/N to fall desperately in love with me.” Gene looked at you worried. Jamil might be reasonable to some extent, he thought. “Well there are a few there are a few addendas, some quid pro quos…” Gene began. “Don't talk back to me, you big blue lout.” Jamil grabbed Gene’s ponytail to be on the same eye level since Gene was taller than Jamil. “You will do what I order you to do, slave.” Jamil raised his staff at Gene’s face knowing fully that he couldn’t harm Gene in any way. But Gene fully embedded in fear winced. “Of course J-Jamil” Gene whimpered. 

       That’s when you noticed Azul, Floyd, Grim, Kalim. and Jade. Grim mouthed We need a distraction. You nodded. “Ohhh Jamil…I never realized how incredibly handsome you are~” you got up and put the crown on you head. You walked slowly toward Jamil looking up to him with a seductive look in your eye. Gene was in such shock his jaw dropped to the floor literally. Azul, Floyd, Kalim, and Jade were shocked. Grim looked sick. “Mmm, that’s better,” Jamil said, his hands on your waist. “Now darling, tell me more about myself.” “You’re tall, dark, well dressed.” You played with Jamil’s locks. Gene looked around to see Kalim. “Kalim, Kalim, little Buddy.” Gene hugged Kalim. “Shh Gene.” Kalim said. “Kalim, I can't help you.” Gene started “I work for Senor Psychopath now” Gene mocked Jamil’s face. “Gene don’t be like that” Kalim whispered. “What you gonna do?” Gene asked. Kalim didn’t know. “You work so hard, you’re the perfect husband,” Y/N continued. “Go on” Jamil said. “You stole my heart Jamil” you told him. “And Kalim?” Jamil asked. “Kalim means nothing to me, my King,” obviously it was a lie. Kalim looked hurt while Gene tried to comfort Kalim. Grim was trying to get the Gene’s lamp but he bumped something which dropped. “What was that,” Jamil turned. You panicked and kissed Jamil which he melted into. 

       “Yech!” Grim was about to vomit. “That was…You!” Jamil turned. Gene was scared again and hid behind Kalim.  

           *Insert fight scene and Jamil being turned back to normal*

       You hugged Kalim. “I didn’t mean it!” Kalim hugged you back happy to know. Jamil looked at you. “Jamil?” you said. “Did you mean it?” Jamil asked with blind hope. You smiled “Possibly but I think they’re someone you want to apologize to.” Jamil grinned and looked at Gene. Gene was crying and hugging Kalim. “Gene…” Jamil began. “Yes,” Gene sniffed. “I’m sorry,” Jamil said. “I shouldn’t have brought you into this.” “Yeah you shouldn’t have,” Gene said trying to hold back tears but failing and bursting into tears. He hugged Jamil tightly and cried on him. Jamil felt bad he really scared Gene. “It’s fine,” Gene said. “I’m still staying in NRC but my dorm room will be ready by tomorrow. You can have your space back.” “You can stay.” Jamil said. “REALLY” Gene said.

Oh my fucking god I need to talk about them 

And of course, after the read more there’s spoilers (fucking obviously) because I still see people complaining about where to watch s3 so I’m not about to absolutely RUIN someone’s day  LMAo

Episode 4

If you read this post here and this answer to an ask then you already know I talked about Macaque’s shenanigans in this episode and that alone makes me happy since it gives depth to Macaque more then just “I don’t like Wu Kong Fuck y’all lol” 

But also I’m super content that Mei wasn’t a deus ex machina in this episode, in the end it still returned to MK eventually pulling his shit together and getting him and his friends away from Macaque. Imma be honest as soon as Mei pulled out her dragon sword I was like welp ig we’re gonna have a Mei vs Macaque episode and then I’ll be off BUT NOPE

Mei got Macaque to actually bust out his mummy shadow giant thing and Sandy showed off again how fucking awesome he is.

Only after both of his friends at least got a chance to fight Macaque was MK forced to do something, which was hurting Macaque where it hurts o7

Episode 6

I have absolutely no excuse, I just love Red Son especially when he interacts with MK LMAO

Bc like Red Son BACKSTORY- and also Red Son with his hair down is- literally fucking amazing then also spicynoodles food is always appreciated

(MK joking about asking for milk and a blanket and then Red Son actually going to get them HHHH- *wails* he so wholesome RIP)

I literally memorized the whole episode in Chinese since I was using the subbed Chinese version to translate it myself (to test my knowledge of the language and whatnot).

It got taken down on YouTube though and I spent a whole week cursing myself for not downloading it RIP

But pspspspsps if anyone still has s3e6 with only Chinese sub somewhere in their computer could you like- shoot me the link or smth bc I like reading the characters more then reading the English ones sometimes k ty for your service👌

Episode 8

I actually used to feel indifferent about this episode but once my focus drifted not only to Monkie Kid but ALSO to Journey of the West I became super intrested in this one specifically.

Essentially, I really like Macaque character development, in Monkie Kid the show, but after I learned more (read: remembered all the stuff about JTTW after I hyper-fixated on it a few years ago) about Zhu Ba Jie, Tripitaka, and Sandy I was like- Bro these characters kinda banging actually.

So long story short I grew fond of the message in the story and how Tang handles himself.

The scene where everything comes to a head and Tang gives his speech while Pigsy starts singing (OH MY FUCKING GOD PIGSY SINGING THOUGH HOLY SHIT EVERYTIME IT’S LIKE JFC MANS GOT BARS AND HE’S AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND FFFF-) is my favorite, especially since Macaque gets left behind and gets incapacitated by the electricity.

Idk why but having Macaque get held back by that specific reason is like wrapping up a story all nice a neat with a bow y’know? Like it wasn’t ‘Oh noooo, Tang suddenly awoke these strange powers and Macaque was no match for them’ or ‘Ohhh nooo, Macaque let him go because he was moved by Tang’s speech’ (LMAO yeah right).

It was ‘well because of the conduction of electricity through the metal wiring of the lantern when Macaque’s body came in contact with the metal the electricity also flowed through him, not hurting him but instead paralyzing him making Tang able to get away’

I like logical explanations what can I say ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

Then of course I can’t forget about...

These actual fucking dumbasses. I love them so much it’s not even funny bro they are so cool and awesome o7

Finally, the honorable mention of an episode that I would count as one of my favorite but just didn't make the cut because it’s the fucking last episode so of course it’d have some shit that makes it better then the rest lmao

There’s so many things to talk about in this, we’ve got

Oh yeah: Mei being the literal Fire of Samadhi

Uh Macaque and Wu Kong going through their divorce arc for the fifth time and fighting in front of the kids (🙄)

RED SON WOO HE’S BACKKKK LETS FUCKING GO IF DRAGONFRUIT BECOMES CANNON I WILL BE KINDA SAD THO (I’m sorry but to me Dragonfruit Shipping looks like a bisexual w/ a preference for women getting into a relationship with a gae man RIP)

I live for Mei and Red Son becoming besties that ask each other about dating advice though *wheeze* 

Red Son’s like: “Okay he’s asking for my number, and so I told him it but now he keeps calling me? Is it a normal thing for humans to pester each other so much once they get to know one another?”

Yeah that small detail made me feel a lot of things lmao, but it’s understandable y’know I just want the best for them and Macaque redemption arc is something that I would love to see o7

Surprisingly though, Macaque and Wu Kong interacting + Red Son’s appearance isn’t enough to make this my favorite episode SIMPLY because it’s the last episode so I feel it has a bias there since a lot was supposed to happen anyway

First things first: this is coming in a little bit later than expected (college, therapy and life in general have taken my time) so anyways, time to get into business with Supergirl 6x16 spoiler alerts as usual:

I’m thinking maybe rambling in a separate post so this isn’t like a hundred miles long but we’ll see.

1. This show is pretty much about everyone but Supergirl… + i missed the intro + i have a love/hate relationship with this show but i will miss it so much + domestic brainia😍😍😍 i missed those two, it feels like they are on that weird limbo of: we kissed but we’re not like in a relationship + christ not this again, i’m so tired of Lex😩 too much time has been spent on him

2. MY GOD I KNEW LENA WOULD LOOK LIKE THAT BUT GEEZ + lmao Lena’s like: you didn’t tell me you had to work babe + i’m also annoyed by Andrea but she’s hot + i miss Cat Grant if she was here Kara and Lena would have been married with a child by now + ohhh the reunion + Nia is precious and her sister was just mean + why is her sister being an ass geez + lmao i’m surprised that Kara didn’t break the laptop + i don’t even know how Kara has a job at this point

3. Nyxly as a villain has been amazing i just don’t know why they have to introduce Lex again + oh so they are dating lol + i just couldn’t remember they made it official but they are cute + sassy Nia is my entire mood + how is that Kara won a Pulitzer and somehow everyone “teaches” her how to do her job? + DEO!Alex comes back + Lena and Brainy are like uhh why did you do that + i mean that’s true she disappears and no one asks but idk it’s like Kara is powerless now + Nia queen😍 + yeah well we knew her sister wasn’t good + go off queen😍😍😍 Nia is the MVP of this episode + why do i feel this is will end up badly?

4. Oh so this is the scene we all lost our crap because we saw Lena + oh boy this is just turning for the worst + scotch, uff it means that’s rough + Kara what are you doing? WHAT? Dude that was your dream job? I mean since you talked to Lena the first time but who’s counting lol i hate this i swear if Kara leaves National City the ending will suck + i love that Nia didn’t forgive her on the spot

5. Domestic Brainiaaaaaaaa + are you fucking serious right now? This again?

*sighs* we were on a roll and this episode didn’t meet my expectations honestly… it feels that this show it’s pretty much everyone’s except for Kara and the worst part is that we’re coming to an end so there’s a small chance to turn this around (most likely it won’t) anyways i hope you’ve enjoyed the episode! if i ever replay this game, which tbh idk if i will, it's so Big, SS was only a third or a quarter of this size and i've only beaten it twice, im going to get it as soon as possible next time

anyway im back at the tower i suppose i'll crawl down and check out the enemies properly

i dont like gliding to towers i've discovered bc it feels like i've been plopped down into the middle of nowhere with no context

vs if i walk to them i know "where" i came from/am, if that makes any sense

i can see that flying thing closer than ever from here and it's DEFINITELY a divine beast no doubts left

i'm so anxious to get to the end of the game and uncover the plot im gonna be like "FUCK EXPLORING" for the rest of it and only go to the places i need, now that i've got this map

i can always do more thorough exploration after, i've been spoiled that there's postgame content, but even if there's not like any other zelda game it'd put me right back before the final battle

god im having to go ALL THE WAY AROUND the lost woods i can't even glide over the nearby river to make the path shorter i bet there's an easier way to do this from the other side but i havent been there yet

i'll be honest, i've grown kind of bored of combat

and know i'm biased but i genuinely i don't think it's me, i think it's the game's difficulty/"difficulty"

i used to see monster camps and think STRATEGY, is there a beehive, barrels to blow up, a place i can glide down from, this is so fun!

which gradually morphed into "okay this is gonna be a bit of a long haul but there'll be Treasure and sniping from afar is still fun"

idk if the black bokoblins/moblins/etc show up after you've done more things or bc of the area you're in but i'm noticing more enemies with more health, higher defense, and higher attack, and the barrels/metal boxes/beehives/etc becoming rarer, and when they do appear, being almost pointless to use because you're more likely to blow yourself up than do any real damage to the mobs

and like i love this game. it absolutely deserves every bit of its raid reviews, and this feeling COULD just be because i've been marathoning it for 12 straight days and i'm anxious to see the end and get back to my life

but to me, attacking a flat area full of black moblins and bokoblins isn't fun even with the stealth/snipe element bc you can't take them out in 1-3 shots, you have to stop and slash at them, and that alerts EVERYONE else, and it's just pointless

(lol i found some flat ruins by the stable which triggered this rant)

like, even the yiga clan hideout - my instinct was to snipe the enemies as i went, which would have made it a bit more fun imo, even though the stealth bit wasn't bad and i enjoyed that section quite a lot

i just don't like the—idk a better term for it unfortunately—"fake difficulty" thing where you just have to slog your way thru 1000s of random battles, i don't like it in rpgs either

kind of like almost wherever i explored at first i would run into minibosses rarely and then almost constantly

which, yeah, most of them aren't as hard now, But Still, it's the point of the thing

maybe i'm a bit defensive about "real gamer" bullshit and "women can't game" stereotypes while being super bad at games my whole life while my brother was fantastic at them

but like i just don't find that fun?? sure a good challenge once in awhile like eventide isle would be fine (even tho that was hellish and i'll never do it again) but that should be. every once in awhile, not. EVERYWHERE

frankly @ this point i'm REALY tempted to speed thru it before my surgery

bc i would hate to be laid up in bed and still have to worry about mobile browsing bc botw spoilers and tumblr's interface being awful

i'm so worried about spoilers and being behind now that some of the fun is draining away

i think after a bit of time has passed i'll either go back and finish exploring properly or straight up start a new file

These were fun! Well, most of them. For questions 21, 30, 42, 43, 49, and 50…they aren't things I've thought too much about before. I'm not in the right frame of mind to try at the moment and I didn't want to let the ask sit there unanswered until I did manage to think of something, so I'm just going to go ahead and skip them for now, sorry! ^^;

2: one of your favorite comments/reviews on this chapter/verse?

I love all my comments. ;u; I love the comments that go into detail about what they thought, the comments that are just a mess of flailing, the comments that tell me they stayed up all night reading, the comments that are just a line or two to say they liked it, and everything in between. Even if I could decide on one to use as an example, I wouldn't want to make anyone feel like I didn't appreciate their comment because it didn't look like that one.

3: what motivates you?

Being excited about an idea, getting to write a part I've been looking forward to, getting a nice comment on a fic, having the house to myself.

4: what time of the day/night do you like to write?

Either afternoon or at night once my mom's gone to bed.

5: do you write scenes in a linear fashion or do you write future scenes/dialogues sometimes?

I'll write snippets of future scenes if I think of something I don't want to lose, but otherwise I write pretty much linearly (aside from going back to rewrite previous scenes/chapters).

6: hardest/easiest character to write for?

I don't know if any of them are easy, exactly. It also depends on the scene and what they're going to be doing. Sometimes I know exactly how they'll behave, and sometimes I just can't picture how a character would react to a particular event or line of dialogue.

But generally Zoro isn't too bad. (Also Travis, because he's my character, though that still doesn't mean I know how he'll respond to things all the time, unfortunately.) Hardest is probably Flirty!Sanji and Franky. I've never tried writing from Franky's point of view, but he's hard enough from someone else's that I'm not eager to try. Chopper and Robin aren't too bad from someone else's POV, but I think I might have trouble writing from theirs. And Luffy can be difficult occasionally, depending on the situation. (Also Sven is hard, even though he’s my character.)

7: hardest/easiest verse to write for?

Well, I only have one at the moment, so… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Though once I actually start writing some of my other ideas, I have a feeling Mistyverse will still be the easiest, just because I've been working in it for so long.

8: (if you have either or both) how do you manage time with writing, work, school etc.?

Very badly. ^^;; I'm terrible at time management.

9: what tv shows, books, or movies inspire for this verse, if any?

Story-wise, I can't think of anything specific (there may have been and I've just forgotten, but). Character-wise, Archer from Fate/Stay Night and Furuya Rei/Amuro Tōru/Bourbon from Detective Conan were a big influence when I was developing Travis.

10: any writing advice?

I don't feel confident enough to give advice to other people, haha.

11: (if you use) what do you like about archiveofourown?

The tag system. It can be very helpful in finding a certain subject or giving me a better idea of what the fic is about. Also the "mark for later" option. And the ability to have a series. It makes it much easier not to miss things when there are multiple fics in a story. And I like that the author isn't sent a notice when someone subscribes/can’t see the names of people who have subscribed. I feel much less awkward about subscribing to fics that are years old or about a very guilty pleasure. :P

12: anything you would do to make archiveofourown different/change it?

I…kind of have a list…

– Add a way to sort subscriptions by fandom! Sometimes I want to reread fic for a particular series and if I don't remember the title(s), going through multiple pages of fics and opening them one by one is such a pain.

– Give us a way to mark main vs. minor characters and relationships in fics. It's really annoying searching for fics about a certain character or pairing and getting dozens of fics that focus on someone/thing else entirely, with whatever you were looking for getting maybe a couple of scenes in the background. I've seen authors try to tag things to indicate this themselves, but most (including me ^^; ) don't do it, and in any case, I'd like an actual option I can mark in a search.

– It'd be cool to be able to put spoiler warnings on tags. Click to view, highlight, something.

– Filter IDs are very helpful, but it would be so much easier if we could just click a button to exclude things like explicit fics, “multi” fics (I’m so tired of being overrun with smutty “multi” fics when I search for “gen” without a filter), NOTPs, fandoms I don’t like…and so on.

– Being able to choose whether or not crossovers are included in the search results. I like a good crossover, but sometimes I just want fics for the one series.

– Don’t have author replies count under total number of comments. Also a PM system would be nice.

(If any of this is possible and it’s just that I don’t know about it, someone please tell me. X’D)

Once in a long while, if I think of a line I don't want to forget after I've turned my computer off, I'll jot it down on a notepad so I'll remember it the next day. Otherwise, no. My handwriting is slow as molasses and makes my hand tired. ^^;

Almost always. 8D Just instrumentals, though.

Not really, no. I have a playlist I use when I'm writing scenes with Travis, and I'm working on one for fight scenes in general, but that's the closest I've got.

All the art I've posted for Mistyverse is here (If I get any fanart in the future, that's where it will be, too). I have quite a bit of art I haven't posted, mostly of Travis or unfinished attempts to draw specific scenes (I have an attempted map of the island in OtMS that I'm too embarrassed to look at again X'D).

20: what songs were you listening to during this scene/chapter?Mostly I just shuffle my giant instrumental playlist. Or if I'm in the mood for something new, I go looking on YouTube or similar places for writing playlists. As far as music for specific scenes/chapters, I think I pretty much covered that in question 13 here.

It can be interesting. c: I like it best when letters/diary entries/whatever are mixed with more traditional narrative, but they can make for a fun story.

Yep! Not super-detailed outlines, usually, but I prefer having some sense of where things are going.

25: if you outline, do you edit it frequently?

Not that often, no. I don't think I've even looked at the outline for FMaA in a while, actually, because things got very vague toward the end, outside of a few specifics, and I have most of the necessary info in my head at this point.

26: anything you’re planning to write in your fic that you’re worried readers might like?

I think this is supposed to be "that you're worried readers might not like". Because otherwise…why would someone liking my stuff make me worried? Barring creepy stalkers and the like. Assuming it's "not"…

Ohhh yeah. I might hide under the covers for about a week when I post those parts… X’D

27: when you read fic, how often do you comment?

Not…very often. ;;OTL I know how much comments mean to writers, especially now that I've had firsthand experience, but I still find it a difficult thing to do. And lately, when I do comment, more often than not I do it anonymously, even if all I have to say is praise. It's just more comfortable for me that way. If I leave a signed in comment, it usually means I really liked the fic.

28: any scene/line you wrote that you didn’t expect to write/that surprised you once it was written?

Uhh…first thing that comes to mind is when they were at the museum and got roped into playing themselves. I had planned for their disguises to be seen through and for it to be assumed that they were cosplaying, but the rest of it just sort of happened. Including Maya; I knew she was going to be in the story, but I didn’t know she was going to be on that island or working at the museum until she showed up in the fruit room. X’D I don’t even remember how I was originally going to introduce her, except that it was going to be a lot closer to the end.

29: do you eat or drink anything while you write?

Not while I'm writing, but I like to have a drink and sometimes a snack before I start. Most often chai. It helps me get in the mood.

Ah…hmm. I haven't actually written any one-shots as in "self-contained, stand-alone story" yet (I have plans!). Out of the one-shot extras that I wrote for Mistyverse…maybe Proof? It was the most self-indulgent of the three and the most fun to write.

34: a scene/paragraph you wrote that you’re proud of

I'm pretty happy with most of the stuff in chapters 18 and 19…and the scene in 16 where Zoro reveals himself…and Zoro and Travis’s fight in the museum in 15…and probably more that I’m not thinking of, but I’m not going to reread the whole thing again right now. :P

35: any foreshadowing/symbolism you wrote that you hope readers didn’t miss?

Yes, but at the same time I hope most people don't put the pieces together until things get revealed later.

I guess maybe the stuff with Zoro and Chidori in 17? Kind of?

Nope, I don't.

Yes, I love titling chapters. Even when I can't think of anything good. Favorite chapter title is definitely Law and Order. Because it has a double meaning/pun (the structure and rules of Whitestone + Law showing up at the end).

39: any alternate fic titles you were considering for this verse?

I had a couple others I was playing with, at least for FMaA, but who knows what they were? Not me. XD

40: chapter you’re most proud of in this verse?

At the moment, I'd say it's a tossup between 15, 16, 18, and 19.

41: chapter that was the most fun to write in this verse?

Hmm. 12 was the easiest, and it's always fun when I'm not struggling with a chapter. The whole arc on Crinia (chapters 13 – 15) was pretty fun, even when it got difficult. 18 – 19, too. And I felt like chapter 20 was crap while I was writing it, but it was silly fun, and it doesn't seem as terrible when I reread it now.

44: have you shared your outline with anyone? if so, what did they think of it?

The outline itself, no. Parts of it are pretty different from what I actually ended up writing; it might be fun to share some of it sometime. c:

*ignores the "ship" part* Hmm…I have no idea if I'll ever actually write it, but in my list of ideas for FMaA bonus scenes I have one where Zoro cooks for everyone (just because he can't eat anymore doesn't mean he can't cook—he lived on that island by himself for a long time before he died, after all). Also (for the benefit of anyone else reading this), sircerenade and I have discussed Brook and Zoro bonding over stuff before (being "grandpa figures", sharing skull/ghost jokes, etc.). Some of it may be more bittersweet than happy, but it’s a cute bittersweet, so.
