A quite unlosable game (dark angel, alec/max, alec/various): this is it! this is the favorite! it's my most beloved show of all time and i had Things to Say and it took me ten years (off and on) but i did say them! very well! i started it in 2008 so my memories are vague but i wrote it pretty much in order--the first idea i had was the almost-pubescent X5s being lectured on how their hormones were going to be manipulated. it was a science fiction story for me, before anything else, because it's a science fiction show that didn't get a chance to explore SO much of the juiciest most interesting concepts it put forth. and it was also me thinking about how the show at first fumbled, then did SO right by the eye-rollable "max goes into heat" concept. like when it comes up in the second episode it's treated completely as a joke, but when it happens again at the end of the first season--when we've bought in to the basic premise and established trust--it's treated as the terrible, sad violation that it is. so i thought, well, how could i pursue that thread further? and. so. yeah. love this story forever, best thing i ever wrote, does exactly what i wanted it to do and does it almost perfectly.

The absolute absurdity of end-series items (house of leaves): my other favorite thing i've ever written! i don't think this is quite as perfectly executed, but it's pretty close, and certainly no one else has done it better so that makes it successful by default. house of leaves is one of my favorite books of all time and i have SO many thoughts about it and all the things that it DOES. some of which the culture at large has acknowledged and much of which i've never seen anyone else talk about, the latter specifically being how rich and welcoming it is to feminist interpretations. which i could never manage to write the essay about that i wanted to, but it's all just in this fic instead.

children's work (the witcher, geraskefer): gonna cheat and put the whole series. it's kind of hard for me to love this one because i can see ALL the seams, especially in the second and third stories where i was trying so many new things as a writer and flailing around so much. but taken as a whole it's the longest single work i've ever created, and the response to it utterly blew me away. people loved this series, so so so much, it's been four years and i kind of still can't process it. this is the story that i think about when i feel like i've never had any kind of effect on the world and nothing i've ever done mattered to anyone. because this series made a lot of people very happy, and that's nice. (also i LOVE when i can come into a fandom and write something that nobody's done before. it boosts my ego like crazy. not that the concept of the fic itself is original--i lifted a LOT of the emotional beats from an extremely good SPN fic i read way back in the day--but no one had done a serious take on it in witcher fandom yet.)

felt it in my fists (teen wolf, allison/lydia): i was Deep into this show for like half of one summer, but i hated (and continue to hate) sterek so there was not a lot on offer for me. but there was femslash! idk, i just really like this story and it's special to me for reasons i can't really identify.

put on the red light (deadpool & wolverine): i don't necessarily like this MORE than my other fics in the fandom but i do feel like it's different and therefore special. it's very rare for me to write explicit high-key emotional conflict and fighting, bc it tends to give me bad anxiety, but MAN i loved writing the big screaming fight in this one. they both fully believe they're breaking up because the other one betrayed them in the most painful way imaginable, and it's awful, and i love it.

Don't spam the chat. Spam is relative, some info dumping or double messaging is fine. we're autistic out here i love it. But it's apparent when someone is not participating at all in a conversation in any kind of mutual or interactive way. if youre not listening/reading, youre not really participating.

people have to take responsibility for their own participation in a conversation. if you can be mutually respectful of other people and of your own limits and boundaries and see your own way out if you get upset or uncomfortable with a topic, you're probably good. i'm very sensitive to what gets sometimes referred to as cry-bullying behaviors or like tenderqueer shit; those are both pretty bad ways to describe the actual emotionally manipulative badly boundaried reality of the phenomenon, but basically trying to make another person responsible for your own emotions, trying to control another persons emotions, or being manipulative via self-victimization is bad.

we've only had to moderate the chat super rarely, so it's very unlikely you'll need to worry about any of this!

Not sure what comments he refers to, cause I didn't see the chat. But probably from the tiktok live chat. It's also not the first time he had to say this during lives. It's the third time for me witnessing it live but I don't catch all his lives so idk.

I love that he does say something when it bothers him but it sucks that he has to.

The fact that he says it in english means it's english comments. But I think he said it in thai afterwards too. After that he changed topic and only reacted to thai comments. Which is good that he doesn't linger on the negativity of people.

That one time it was a "fan" (rather a troll) who thought she will get attention if she spams him that she hates him (she came out about it on xitter later). Net gets such stupid comments too. Might be trolls but there are also "fans" out there hating on both of them for not fulfilling fanservice or hanging out with each other 24/7. I am begging fans to think before posting such stuff. Even if it's meant as just a joke. Like the "I hate him" joke in an affectionate (I love him) way among us fans is like a meme, but they might not get that context in a random comment in a chat or on social media.

I’m remembering why I left tumblr all those years ago. 1) over indulgence in escapism only helps my mental health so much 2) consistent think pieces complaining about the tumblr community when I don’t even have enough mutuals to a. Stir up beef or mixed feelings or b. Observe beef or mixed feelings . Not blaming those posting the think pieces, but it’s always a reminder that social media only does so much for me bc there’s still *people behind the screens bringing their online weirdness, drama, and controversial/problematic ideologies to what’s supposed to be a place to escape. We can truly never have anything good.

Which is why I don’t engage a lot w my mutuals! It makes me scared. I like to silently exist much like in real life bc I also know these connections ARENT that- “real life.” Escapism is both my sedative and used as a luxury. Makes my relationship with media such as tumblr very fragile and inconsistent.

figuring out a world to immerse in, is sometimes better than doom scrolling pedro pascal pics, baking, miniature models, the frog and toad account, and lana del rey memes on my spam instagram. But on the other side my spam Instagram account never have think pieces- it’s just memes, photos, funny comments, and good vibes. (No stories- hence doom scroll which cycles back to going to tumblr so I feel like I’m actually getting something from chronically escaping through this cellular device).

1. This is less related to fic content, but I love reading author notes when they’re added.

It’s such a neat insight into the author and to what they’re doing in their life at times, or just ‘anyways yea idk how to end this lol’ after writing the most devastating shit ever. I’d need to find exact note but I remember reading a fic where ALL the characters die and I think end note they quoted a fricking meme. It’s great.

2. I don’t know if I have a favorite trope in any of those regards…reading I usually stick to canonish (like canon divergent) type material oh those everyone lives no one dies type stuff…uhh yeah idk how to answer this one

3. I hope more people will come to appreciate non-romantic relationships more, but specifically sibling relationships because when done right in media they rock HARD. Idk love people having their fun in fandoms and that does include shipping culture but it’s just not my cup of tea alot of the times. That and filler episodes, they can be awesome and shows now unfortunately don’t get a chance to do them more often.

|| I thought of a couple of good points in the shower about interacting with me using ask memes~ Idk if this applies to anyone else, but here are two things that you may want to keep in mind (and if you don't, that's fine, this isn't that important XDD)

Threads > asks!! I LOVE answering asks of all sorts, but what gives me the most joy is replying to threads. I like building a story more than just replying to a meme..!! This isn't really that important since I love writing asks regardless, but if you really want to interact with me, I highly suggest turning an ask into a thread!! Keep sending tons of asks my way, but turning these asks into threads and building something even bigger with them just gives me all the joy in the world~ (even if that means we end up with like 100+ ongoing threads.....i don't mind~ XDD)

I always love spam and just receiving tons of asks in general, so you guys never have to ask if it's alright to send multiple asks~ However, I always ask that people send things to a variety of my muses~ Try not to send things to just one or two characters..!! Please, by all means send them tons of stuff, but I'd really appreciate it if people send things to a variety of my muses!! (This only really applies to spamming asks bc if you send like one ask a week for one character then this doesn't even matter XDD) I only say this because if I'm constantly writing drafts for just one character, my muse for them increasingly drops. I do a pretty good job of spreading out my characters when I work on drafts so I don't get burnout for any one character, but this would really help so much!!

But regardless of these two things, I'm just happy to receive asks at all~ XDD Yes, turn asks into threads and send me things for many different characters, but for the most part, I'm just happy with any sort of interaction~ (and don't worry, nothing happened to bring this on, I've just been wanting to mention these things for MONTHS now and finally remembered to do so LOL!!)
