he says i hate everyone except you and that is addictive and that is kind of romantic and beautiful because you're young and you're kind of a sarcastic asshole too and you don't like bad boys, per say, but you don't really like good ones either. and you like that you were the exception, it felt like winning.

except life is not a romance book, and he was kind of being honest. he doesn't learn to be nice to your friends. he only tolerates your family. you have to beg him to come with you to birthday parties, he complains the whole time. you want to go on a date but - people are often there, wherever you're going. he's just so angry. about everything, is the thing. in the romance book, doesn't he eventually soften? can't you teach him, through your own sense of whimsy and comfort?

at first - you know introverts often need smaller friend groups, and honestly, you're fine staying at home too. you like the small, tidy life you occupy. you're not going to punish him for his personality type.

except: he really does hate everyone but you. which means he doesn't get along with his therapist. which means he has no one to talk to except for you. which means you take care of him constantly, since he otherwise has no one. which means you sometimes have to apologize for him. which means he keeps you home from seeing your friends because he hates them. you're the single exception.

back in the day there was this popular youtuber post that had a message that essentially said “your heroes have been through so much and they succeeded, you can too” and had all these youtubers and listed their biggest trouble that they overcame in life and some peoples were abuse and others were diseases like addiction and cancer and generally listed a bunch of harrowing experiences. phil’s was that he was bullied, which was one of the ‘lighter’ topics listed. and then dan’s was that he’s left handed. all of those traumatic and difficult topics and dan’s was that he has to get special scissors for his left hand dominance.

Concept: Vox actually has a TV remote connected to his head. He keeps it mostly confiscated so no one can control him, although the only people who know where the heck it even is are The other Vees. Sometimes they take it out of the confiscated area and use it on him just to fuck with him, and in doing so, can scroll through his different thoughts/parts of his brain/sides that, delightfully enough, get projected on to his screen. Some nights they get drunk and Val + Velvette take it out of Vox's hiding place, scrolling through the "channels" in Vox's head (which all may project his different emotions in the moment -- it goes from his usual rage, to begging for mercy, amusement, to annoyance, and so on) and laughing their arses off every time they see a side that Vox wanted to keep hidden. And here's the sugar on the cream (/ref); the One Sided Radiostatic addition to this is that one of the channels ended up being LITERALLY nothing but lolligagging about while going on and on about Alastor. Like. They're continously switching his channels and suddenly he exclaims "ALASTOR WOULDN'T DO THIS TO ME!" oh-so-hopefully, and continues to whine similar things, as well as declarations of hatred towards Alastor. (Basically spotlighting how this guy lives so rent free in his mind there's quite literally a 24/7 Alastor channel there)

For obvious reasons, the Vees find this hilarious and keep him on this channel for the rest of the night, as Velvette records it and posts it on social media.

The news eventually gets to Alastor and and thus he broadcasts the audio from the video across hell through his station one evening, literally only because he just thinks it's too funny, and he wants to spite Vox. He's completely repulsed by anything even remotely romantic or sexual within "the Alastor Channel" in Vox's mind, and he just does not give a shit.

Vox is reasonably fuming so much that he crashes, although no matter what, if you switch to that one channel in Vox's TV, he'll always be talking about Alastor.

I think vox is an absolute idiot if he didn't just break the remote immediately. see personally I think it makes vox even more pathetic if he looked pathetic when he does things of his own volition, but he does also probably deserve this all things considered LMAKASOFGKO. next time he should learn to just not be an idiot and break the remote before his stupid colleagues can abuse it

I might be wrong on this but if Oliver's voice is well, Scott McNeil like the Overlord. When hes well, Oliver would his voice be diffrent?

But yeah, I always imagined that if Oliver was real he would be voiced by Scott McNeil since you know, he is the Overlord. Although I never really figured out the exact voice he'd have. I mean I've always been confident that if Oliver was voice acted, then Scott McNeil would do a fantastic job voicing him since he has crazy range, but yeah I've never had a specific sound in my head for him. I watched a few clips of Koga for reference since I haven't watched Inuyasha, and I'd say that voice would work well for Oliver, so yeah.

I always suck at coming up with voice claims and stuff for my ocs, but it is a little easier for Oliver since he is based on a preexisting character, and again Scott McNeil's range is crazy good. Although I'm not super familiar with most of his work outside of Ninjago so even though I know he could voice teenage Oliver, I don't know about child Oliver, someone more knowledgeable would have to let me know on that one.

I've never really mentioned it here before but I do think about these things a lot because it's just fun to think about your ocs and characters having voices and what they'd sound like

I know I’ve made other posts talking about or alluding to this but like. obviously there are like the old hollywood movies in the sort of dyke subtext canon (all about eve, rebecca, johnny guitar, etc) but like. there are so many movies that like 10 people have seen but I have such a clear gay vision or interpretation for it. most of them aren’t even GOOD. and yet!!

like the great lie is the one that haunts me the most (or the women but I think that one is kind of different for me perhaps bc I’ve already talked about it here a lot or perhaps bc I think of it as being more well known and watched than I think it actually is? actually it’s probably that I think it is an overall good and well executed and entertaining movie which isn’t really true of most of these tbh). but I also think a lot about like when ladies meet, or old acquaintance, or sadie mckee, or the shining hour, or the model and the marriage broker, or a woman’s secret, or the bigamist, or craig’s wife, or born to be bad, or separate tables, or even dark victory to a degree. others too certainly those are just the ones that come to mind. for half of these it’s not even like oh these women are gay together it’s just like hey I think she’s a lesbian. and I’m right. but my genius will never be fully appreciated in my day unfortunately.
