Don’t have funding to pay artists? Get funding. Find local businesses to sponsor. Crowdfund. Charge admission. Sell merch.

That too capitalist for you? Trade goods/services. Repair an artist’s car. Clean their house. Give them some veggies from your garden plot. I’d put on a hell of a show or do some damn fine writing in exchange for someone helping me with my taxes, I tell ya that.
