She descends down the stairs of the house, rounding the corner to the kitchen. She stands in the doorframe, watching her husband do what he does best- cook. 

He stands at the counter, focused on the cut of meat he had in front of him. She took this moment to admire him. His strong back, his shoulders moving with each movement of the knife, his biceps flexing. Although all traits were hidden from her view by the dress shirt he wore, she could still imagine it just fine. His sleeves pushed up his forearm always seemed to catch her eye, like it did now. Her eyes wander to his greying hair, imagining running her hands though it. He seemed to feel her gaze, because he turned his head just slightly. Not to look at her, but just to see her see him acknowledge her presence. His voice carried through the kitchen, “I don’t need to turn around to know that you look beautiful tonight.”

She let out a soft giggle, pushing herself further into the kitchen. “And why is that?”

He stopped his movements momentarily, his eyes moving up the wall slightly. “Because you’re always beautiful,” he says before going back to his knife and cutting board. 

It had been Hannibal’s idea in the beginning, inviting Will Graham over for dinner. He loved hosting dinners, but having dinner with only one guest was an unusual thing. And he had yet to meet Y/N.

Hannibal had kept Y/N a secret for many years, only revealing her to those attending his dinners. And sometimes, not even then. He knew what he did was dangerous, and he wished to keep her hidden from the public as much as possible. And she never minded, for she often felt anxious at big events and meeting too many new people at once overstimulated her. And above all else, Hannibal didn’t like to share things that were his. Especially things as kind as her, where the world could ruin her in a day. No, she was his, and they were a perfect pair, the two of them, for his arms were her favorite place to be. And his arms were also his favorite place for her to be.

He places the meat into the pan before finally turning around to look at her. He froze, a pleasant smile crossing his face, “Ah, bella. I knew I wouldn’t even have to look.” 

She does a quick spin, letting him see all the aspects of her dress. She grows nervous under his gaze, “is this alright?”

He lets out a soft chuckle, “Darling, it’s perfect.” He takes a few steps forward, closing the distance between the two of them before leaning down, his arms open on either side of her to avoid touching her dress with dirty hands. She meets him halfway, sharing a soft kiss. 

He smiles, moving back to the food at hand. She takes this as a cue to prepare the dining table.

Before she even finishes, a knock is heard at the door. She quickly walks to it, taking a deep breath before opening it. The sight in front of her is even better than she thought. 

Will Graham stood at the threshold of their house in a dress shirt and sweater vest, his hair gelled to perfection. He held a nervous smile about him. His eyes trail up to hers, and his smile drops. He takes a deep breath of his own, before he places the smile back on. “Oh, sorry,” he apologizes, reaching a hand out, “I’m Will Graham.” 

God, he was handsome. Hannibal had said he was quite attractive, but this. Attractive was an understatement. Will Graham was beautiful. 

She reaches her hand out to take his, “Y/N… uh… Y/N Lecter.”

She watched as the gears turned in Will’s head, his handshake slowing. “Lecter?”

Hannibal’s body appears behind Y/N, his hands moving up to rest on her hips. “Ah, Will. I see you’ve met my wife. Come in. Please.” He pulls Y/N’s body back slightly to make room for Will to enter. Will does so, letting his eyes wander around the house. 

Y/N feels her husband's grip tightening around her waist. She knows him better than anyone. He’s not jealous, per se. No, this was something else entirely. Was he…. Nervous?

Will stuffs his hands in his pockets, as his gaze returns to the couple. “This house is gorgeous, truly.” He looks to Y/N, assuming she decorated it.

She smiles, pulling herself from Hannibal’s grip, “I didn’t do it, Hannibal did. He has an eye for things. Excellent taste.”

Will smiles back, fighting himself to not look at her for too long, “Yes. It seems he does.”

Hannibal shuts the door before moving towards the dining room. “Please, come sit. I’m almost done,” he says, giving a final glance to his wife before disappearing into the kitchen.

Y/N immediately moves to her usual spot, at the left side of the head chair. She pulls the chair out softly, sitting down in it before her gaze moves back to Will. He follows suit, sitting on the right side, directly across from her.

A silence ensues as both of Hannibal’s favorite anxious people look anywhere but each other. Finally, Will break the tension, “Hannibal never… mentioned you. I, I definitely didn’t know he was married, especially to someone so,” he stops himself.

She smiles, catching his eyes, “someone so… what, Mr. Graham?”

Will looked away again, his breath caught in his throat. He lets out a cough before smiling. “I guess.. I guess I was going to say beautiful.”

She tilts her head at him, “You guess? So, why didn’t you?” She liked watching his squirm. Perhaps she picked that trait up from so many years with Hannibal.

This caught him off guard. She was rather blunt in her thoughts. “I just, I don’t know, assumed it inappropriate to say too much of another man’s wife, is all, Mrs. Lecter,” he says, taking a sip of the water in front of him.

She nods, leaning back slightly in her chair. “Hannibal is aware of what he has. As am I. He taught me to never refuse a compliment.” 

He nods as well, “Then, you look very beautiful, Mrs. Lecter.”

“Y/N,” Hannibal’s voice was heard from the kitchen. He usually didn’t call out like that. He never raised his voice. She stood quickly, moving towards the kitchen.

Hannibal stood in the kitchen, the plates neatly prepared before him. He glances up at her entrance. “Ah. Sorry for the harsh tone. It shouldn’t have come out that way.”

She nods, “you didn’t intend for it to be so.”

He sighs, “Yes. That’s true. I just…. It’s hard to see someone admire what is mine.”

She nods again, “I understand.”

“I wasn’t only talking about him admiring you,” Hannibal stated, “you seemed to like him just the same.”

She scoffs, “As if you don’t like him yourself, Lecter.”

Hannibal’s lips pull into a smile. He was caught. “I suppose you’re right, bella. As always.”

She gives him a knowing look, taking two of the plate carefully, one in each hand, and walks to the dining room. Will still sits at the large table, a nervous look in his eyes.

She sets a plate in front of him carefully, “Don’t ask me what it is, Graham. I’m not the cook.” 

His lips now pull into a smile, as he nods, “I see. Thank you, anyways.”

She sets her plate down in front of her, sitting down gracefully. Hannibal walks in, setting his plate down. He's now in his full suit, his blazer neatly buttoned. “William, I hope this is to your liking.” He sits himself at the head of the table. 

It’s a rather awkward dinner, as they all give each other obvious glances. Everyone at this table adored one another. Will and Y/N were the anxious ones, but as each conversation digressed, Hannibal’s grin only grew. He can read the two of them like an open book, and he was enjoying the book in front of him. 

As they neared the end of their dinner, Y/N happily collected the plates and disappeared into the kitchen. Hannibal took this opportunity to his advantage. He leans towards Will, his voice low, “I see how you look at her, William.” 

Will freezes, staring at the table. “I don’t believe my gaze is that different between her and you.”

Hannibal smirks, tilting his head, “No. I don’t believe it is too different.” 

Y/N enters the room again, her hand gliding across Hannibal’s shoulders as she walks around his chair. She stops behind him, leaning over him to kiss his cheek gently. He smiles at this, reaching his own hand up, and grabbing her jaw quickly before she can move away. He twists his body slightly to kiss her on the lips. She pulls back in shock but doesn’t go far due to the grip on her jaw. He smiles into the kiss, enjoying the feeling of the stare from Will. He lets her go, letting her catch her breath. She moves back to her chair with a soft pink now on her cheeks. 

Will lets out a deep breath, calming himself. Hannibal knows it, and he smiles at his darling wife.

“Should we invite William over again, mia bella?”

Her eyes glance over from her husband to Will, full of mischief.

“I think we should.”

1. iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii got mine rather late actually considering i knew i wanted one wayyy before i turned 18 lmao. iii think i got it when i was 20!!!

2. i didn't think it was gonna hurt the most honestly but it's the one i have on my inner forearm, just below the elbow. so while that's just soft skin too, it's waaayyy more sensitive. there is a chance that it was a bit bc of the tattoo artist too - she was a bit of a beginner. i would give that like a 6 out of 10, maybe even a 7? it wasn't that bad the whole time though, the seven was just when she was doing the inner part of the arm, the most sensitive place. but hehehe i survived!!!

(she also accidentally pricked me with the needle lmao so i have the teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeniest tiniest dot on my hand now:333 but it's so small that i have to really look for it ahshgahgsagh aand i wasn't mad too i thought it was really funny ehehehehe)

Chosen and Second are known as a double-word species title, with a single-word title as the generic more commonly said name.

SS!Vic's current relationship with SS!Agent? ...Friends? Vic doesn't know how good on terms he is with Agent. Vic hasn't seen the guy in years, not even when he dropped off the gift in Arc One. Sure, Vic has heard from his brothers that Rocket is doing well, and so he gathers that Agent accepted the position Vic gave to him in the letter. But other than that, without Agent reaching out to contact Vic, Vic is left a little in the dark [:3] about where they are at, relationship-wise. Does Agent still consider him a friend? Is he perhaps okay with Vic now, but still mad for Ballista's sake and has decided to avoid Vic?

In reality: Agent is just- SO BUSY. He's running a whole corporation now, and there are quite a few promblemsies. We're actually super close to that point in the plot, where I start to add in little scenes that explain more specifically what's up with Agent and Hazard at Rocket.

Chapter 8 does include a Hazard scene!! [what does he do, i wonder] :D Little information sneaky peaky for you patient readers, I'm so sorry that this chapter is taking me so long-

What Vic ends up doing after his sentence is done with, is all up for debate at the moment. I can't reveal that information yet. Partly because I'm still considering my options to bring out the best in Arc Two's potential, and partially because spoilers. :3

Vic joining in on the heroing as "[*announcer voice, with echoes*] the Silver Ladybug!" or something like that-

XD I love it, I really do. I just can't say whether or not he actually will in the end of things. I mean- It's likely- Knowing what things I tend to favor over others, uh- XD Hollowhead brother fluff and bonding is just really up there on that list, so it's not gonna be a :O SURPRISE! exactly if at the conclusion Vic joins the Ladybug brother squad.

Anyway, back to Agent and Vic's relationship cause you asked and then I got distracted reminiscing and pondering on possible Vic hero shenaniganery-

Agent is totally okay with Vic. He watched the expression on Vic's face as the grey hollowhead approached Agent and Hazard's doorstep with the gift. He picked up on the wistful nature that the letter tone was written with. He understood that Vic had thought about what he had been doing and was trying to start anew and make ammends.

Mono is very understanding and always has been. He's completely forgiven Vic. BUT HE'S REALLY BUSY RIGHT NOW- XD SO SO BUSY- I legitimately have fluff scenes planned where caring-cousin-Hazard has to MAKE Agent rest and take care of himself because he's overworking himself trying to get everything running smoothly. [Specifics on what problems exactly are plaguing Rocket, are actually very lore-heavy and will be elaborated upon later: in the plot itself-]

Agent and Vic's roles being swapped around is another thing to think about, if Vic officially joins the Ladybug brothers by his sentence's end. Mentor-figure Agent and Vic being the one on the field. It's something to think about that now has me really excited for bringing Arc Two to it's conclusion!! :D I'M ALL HYPED UP!! Why am I thinking about the end- I have to do the middle still- And only I can do it, because only I have the knowledge of where things are going- jrbgkeralgkjerjgelkaqgqwrne

It will be worth it once I figure things out and start proceeding with the story again on a smoother basis than how it is now. Even if my brain is just a little bit more hyperfixated on The Spark-

Agent and Vic's relationship... being strained... Uhm, well- At one point, it was. Now, not so much, although it isn't like they've officially talked things out due to how hectic things are at Rocket right now.

- both their house in Midgard and Sindri’s house are like their main houses, tho Heimdall refuses to sleep in the cabin and just hangs out there throughout the day if anything

- Atreus and Heimdall tend to read til late in the night, usually falling asleep together in the process. Kratos makes sure to tuck them in whenever he finds them like that

- Heimdall’s left arm has become even stronger from him relying on that one alone so much

- he’s become great at climbing trees, too, which he loves to do since he keep an eye on everything around them more easily from up high.

- just the mental image of this fucker just climbing all the way to the top with one arm like its nothing

- he makes sure to take Mimir with him when he knows he’s gonna be there for a while

- Sometimes he leaves Mimir hanging from a tree branch and just goes “wow Mimir, you truly are the best tree ornament.. bye now :)”

- yes he gets scolded every time by Kratos

- Heimdall and Atreus both staring at any cute dude and then later talking about them like girls gossiping at the dinner table

- Atreus wakes up a lot from nightmares of Ragnarok, usually when Heimdall is awake already

- Heimdall doesn’t even need to use his abilities to know that the kid just needs some comfort, so he lets Atreus cuddle up to him for a few extra hours of sleep

- Atreus and Heimdall fighting on who gets the comfiest spot on the sled while Kratos just stands there, he’s too tired for this shit

- Heimdall LOVES hide n seek, he, Atreus, Thrud and Angrboda play constantly. Sometimes others join in too. Turns out Kratos is a great hider.

- Heimdall being the seeker is kinda cheating tho because this man can literally hear grass grow

- their games can take HOURS if its just Heimdall and Atreus, because both are competitive as fuck

- just. Atreus going as far as holding his breath or hiding underwater or some other dumb shit so Heimdall can’t sense him

- “father i’ve looked in 8 realms and i still can’t find him what the fuck”

- when Atreus is in a bad mood but just wants a distraction, Heimdall will just start counting down, a cue for Atreus to sprint off and hide.

- i feel like Heimdall never really got the chance to be a proper kid, hell, even Atreus didn’t get the chance. so they make up for their lost time together

- idk i just had the mental image of Kratos carving Atreus some wooden toys and Heimdall pretending So Hard to not be envious

- Heimdall later acquires a shelf of wooden trinkets his dad made for him :)

- him pretending to hate hugs and dodging any attempt from anyone.

- until he’s alone with his dad and brother ofc those two are the only ones allowed to touch him, he loves hugs from them even if he acts like he doesn’t

- Atreus breaking a chest open with his as Heimdall watches

Heimdall pushes him aside with the next one “here, i’ll help :)” and smashes it with his bifrost arm ofc because why would he pass up on an opportunity to show off

“that’s cheating, Heimdall”

“absolutely not, i’m simply using my strengths as an advantage :)”

atreus motions to his bow “oh yeah? well me too” and just whacks Heimdall in the back of the knees before sprinting away from his quickly approaching doom

  - Kratos and/or Atreus waking up, house completely dark besides 2 bright pink/purple eyes staring at them, totally not unnerving

“why are you sitting in complete darkness”

“.... it’s comfortable”

- Atreus calling for Heimdall who’s pretending to not hear him, Thrud watches him try for a bit. “oh yeah he does that, i have something that always works tho”

“oh really? what is it?”

*Thrud just going “pspspsps” at Heimdall*

- Heimdall repeating the sounds Gulltoppr makes when no one else is around. just:

“mrrow”

“mrow? agreed.”

- Heimdall constantly forgetting that he’s missing his arm and trying to pick stuff up and then just kinda stares in confusion for a few seconds

- my theory of Heimdall being part giant too stands so im wondering if Angrboda and Atreus teach him giant magic at some point too

- he’s VERY good at haggling with any trader, especially the more expensive ones. sometimes he comes home with fancy robes he traded for his family.

- imagine if at one point he finds someone selling wine from Greece so he haggles it off the trader and excitedly brings it to Kratos

- Atreus doing pushups with Kratos to see who can do the most and Heimdall just going “i can do that with one hand :)”

- Heimdall letting Atreus braid his hair since he had practice on Mimir’s beard anyway. Kid’s fast and precise with it which Heimdall didn’t expect.

- Atreus just being a whole ass barber for everyone is a funny thought

- even after Fumbulwinter has died down completely, Midgard keeps being a tad too cold for Heimdall’s taste

- everyone swimming together in a lake and Heimdall just. sitting next to the river because the water is too cold for him. “i mean, we could go to Vanaheim, the water there is nice and warm-” “no.”

- everyone sleeping without blankets or anything and then there’s Heimdall with enough blankets and furs to keep every person in Midgard warm

- Atreus coming to Heimdall because he wants to gift Angrboda something but doesnt know what to gift her because of that one time he offered her a flower and she didnt want it.

“obviously she prefers her flowers alive and not dead, so try that”

Atreus stops pacing around the room and just stares at his brother in confusion “wh-” “grow some flowers yourself, idiot”

- Heimdall, master of romance and courtship (<- this is a lie, probably)

- His love language being physical touch and just being all up in people’s personal space when he cares about them, pretending to annoy them

- Atreus: *causes slight chaos*

Heimdall, immediately: “i should’ve just thrown you off that wall the second i saw you”

Atreus: “love you too, brother! :D”
