okay but fiddleford was raised christian, is from a small town in the bible belt, AND lived in the 80s do you understand how much internalized homophobia this man must've had. like yeah he was super obvious about his feelings for ford, but god knows he was never gonna SAY anything -- how could he??

he's a married man. he's a father. willing to go out-of-state for work, sure, but he'd never hurt them like that. he never could. and even aside from everything previously mentioned, ford was his first and likely one of his only friends, he wouldn't wanna ruin that for some dumb fantasy. no, fiddleford just has to focus on being a better partner. that's all this is, and that's all it ever will be. he just needs to get that through his skull, and stop thinking about ford so damn much.

thankfully, he's gotten over most that stuff by now. ain't nothing gonna make mcgucket be ashamed of being himself anymore, but you sure as hell can try.

Just recently blocked the trafficblr and life series tags.

The way people wouldn’t stop talking about scar and Grian having sand permits this season pushed me over the edge. Hermitcraft has become a safe place for me, and the life series fandom has always been bad for my mental health.

Scar and Grian can be separate entities. They ARE separate entities. They are two different people. They don’t always have to be roped into the same box.

Anyway never feel bad for blocking tags. It can help your feelings a lot, and it affects no one but you.

Yea thats honestly very fair. i might do that as well because as much as i love desert duo and 3rd life its started to get real annoying. i like the fact that these two fandoms overlap so much and i do find some of the angst and the ideas interesting but this has just been bugging me lately sdsdkjf

like it feels like people cannot view scar specifically without grian by his side. grian? sure people throw in mumbo and now even gem to him. (which okay. they can also be their own people come on.)

idk i just wish people talked about more stuff than just the stuff thats related to the life series and grians fishing addiction.

im always baffled that people dont talk about angst from other peoples episodes??? like i watch scar a lot. i always think "oh this has got to spawn some angst right?" but no. if grian is not invloved no angst sdkjfhs. the death loop he was in recently? the way he blew up grians bookshelves around his enchanter? like theres a lot of stuff i thought people would go insane over but. no.

hey you can totally delete this ask if you want but i just don’t want to sit thru green man’s video. do you have any idea what the fuck is going on

(putting a cw grooming here) im not super informed as I haven't kept up with the green man that much in the past year and a half, but what I do know is that dream has been accused (a couple times) of talking inappropriately with minors on snapchat and has repeatedly denied this (despite there being concrete proof). recently he just posted a video trying to refute the claims and what people are most mad at is that he compared him talking to minor fans to philza and Kristen relationship, as those two met online while Phil was a content creator. the major fucking difference is a) Kristen is an adult, and is in fact a year old than Phil, b) both met as adults c) Phil had around seven viewers when they met and d) spent several years as online friends BEFORE getting romantically involved. it was a dick move on his part and I hope that Phil tears his ass to pieces over it. I also haven't watched his video and don't plan to (unless some commentary youtuber I watch discusses it) so again, I dont know everything that's going on

i think honestly what irritates me about yoshidas work SO much is that people will tell you that banana fish is THE gay manga (ignoring the many things that came before it and were more groundbreaking, ie MW literally having on screen (or like. on panel but still.) gay sex in it and that came out like a decade before BF did) when there really isn't barely any gay rep outside of the pedophiles and the one time ash drops the f slur. like im sorry but somehow yasha, a work she wrote in 1996, has more gay rep in it but also has the same issues.

i truly do not get how people can enjoy banana fish with the rampant racism every 2 pages or the rampant sexual assault plotlines (on women and ash bc he is just... written like how yoshida writes women lmao) that are handled IMPOSSIBLY bad and sincerely i hoped yasha would be better because it had been like a decade or so between works. and then it proceeds to continue with the heres our blonde genius protagonist who everyone is weird as fuck to and will sexually harrass and everyone finds it a VERY funny joke to point out how feminine he is when theres barely any women in the work (if you exclude the ones that are being raped/killed/creepy to minors. which to be fair yasha has toned down the sa a LOT) and that its funny that hes kind of gay except not really!! and its just absurd to me how it just persists in all of her stuff because she is not an author that handles gay stuff well. like the scene in banana fish where ash is completely ok getting gang raped and did it solely to get into the hospital when its been SHOWN that he has a lot of trauma with that. and then right after his friend makes a joke at ash's expense about that. like sincerely and genuinely is this what we are hyping up as the old retro gay manga. go read some tezuka and stop reading shit that the most the main characters do is share a kiss in a nonromantic sense and is obsessed w making every gay person be evil!!

Hi Dey, I just have to tell you that I'm going fucking insane over how almost all of the Links die in a way that's correspondent to their element. Red dies by fire. Blue to ice. Vio to earth. Green doesn't adhere as nicely, but you could say in canon he gets the wind knocked out of him lol. Very well done oneshot btw <3
