Take my springtrap x reader angst hurt/comfort idk

You'd been checking on this...thing... for about a week now. It hadn't moved while you were there, but you'd been taking pictures of it before you left, and in every picture, it was in a different position. This thing was moving. And today you were going to figure out why.

Walking up to it and slowly crouching down beside it was the same as always. It stayed perfectly still, no sign of life or movement. But you knew it moved when you weren't there. This time, you were going to trick it. You spent the amount of time you usually did, taking notes, then taking your picture of it. You left the room shut the door, and stood by it.

Around fifteen minutes later, you were already losing your patience wondering if maybe someone else had been moving it, when you heard a noise from inside the room. A mechanical creaking sort of noise.

Perfect.

You opened the door as quickly as you could.

The animatronic was standing up. Its head whipped around towards you, its ears perking up. It made a sort of grunt noise and went perfectly still.

"I know you can move. D'you think I haven't noticed you're never in the same position?"

It looks at you, standing up taller and tilting its head, letting its ears flop to the side slightly. You took in how tall it was - inhumanly tall, even close to seven feet.

"Why wouldn't you move when I was in here?"

Its posture changed again and it looked around. It slowly motioned for you to come closer, as it sat down in the spot it usually sat. You wanted answers, so you did.

It seemed confused for a moment.

"Can you talk?"

It looked at you and tilted its head again. Sitting up a bit straighter, it lifted its head, giving a bit of a cough, followed by a sort of hum, and then nodded.

"You just don't want to?"

It nodded again. It gave a shaky robotic sounding breath, and spoke. "Hurts."

You stared at him for a second. "Oh. I'm sorry. You don't have to, then." He slumped back to the wall and relaxed.

"Should I just ask yes or no questions, or..."

He pointed at your notebook. "Write." He managed to choke out.

"Oh! Sure." You hand him your notebook and a pen. "Uh, do you mind if I ask some questions? I'm just... A little confused as to how you're so... Human-like, I guess. Behavior wise."

He threw his head back, shoulders shaking as if he was laughing.

"You didn't notice?" He writes, before setting the notebook down and lowering his legs, pointing at a rip in the suit.

There were clearly human organs in there.

"I- okay, yeah. I mean, I noticed, but I thought they were just... Really realistic fake parts."

Still laughing, he shook his head, and wrote again. "No, I'm a human inside here. Used to be."

"Used to be." You repeat. "How'd you get stuck in there?"

He paused for a moment. "Ever heard of the Springlock Failure Incidents?"

You'd heard of the accident a few times, but you'd never bothered to research it. You shrugged. "Kind of, I don't know much."

He nodded, and kept writing. "Imagine being in a mascot costume made of metal, but you move too fast and suddenly 500 tiny wires and gears and sharp metal parts puncture and crush your entire body."

You stare at him for a moment, eyes wide. "Holy shit. I'm- I'm so sorry. That's what happened to you?"

He nodded. "Twice. I escaped the suit the first time. I wasn't so lucky this time. I've been sitting in this room since it happened."

"Didn't those failures happen in, like the 80s and 90s, though?"

He tilted his head, confused. "Yes."

You stared at him again.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up with realization. "Wait," he paused, looking around, back at you, then got back to writing, "isn't it 1993?"

Oh no.

You slowly shake your head.

"19...94?"

You hold out your hand and he gives you the pen. On his paper, you write the year.

2023.

He stares at the number for a minute.

He speaks out loud again. "It's been thirty years. I-" he sets the notebook down and stands up. Talking seems to pain him even more, but he does it anyways. "I've been trapped in here for 30 years?" He stumbles and balances himself on the wall.

"Do you want me to leave?" You ask.

He shakes his head quickly, causing himself even more pain. "No- No, please-" he coughs, falling against the wall again, this time not on purpose. He covers his face with his hands. "Please don't go- not... Not yet."

"I won't, I promise." You cautiously step back towards him, and when he doesn't react, you sit down beside him.

"What was your name? I mean, when you weren't in here?" You asked, hoping to ground him again.

He shook his head and looked away.

"I wasn't a good man," he muttered.

"I doubt that. Just... Tell me. Or give me something to call you, at least. Give me a nickname you used."

He shut his eyes and laid his hands on the ground beside him. "Uh... Will." He sighed. He hesitated, and then added, "for, uh, for William."

William.

Oh.

"I... I know who you are, William."

He nodded slowly, then sunk into his corner more, head on his knees.

"You've really been in here for 30 years?"

He didn't respond.

Nervously, you softly placed your hand over his. His posture relaxed a bit. He made a sort of humming noise again.

"Talk to me. I want to know more about you."

He slightly opened his eyes, glancing at you. You started to pull your hand away, but he quickly raised his to touch you again.

"I'm sorry-" he coughed, moving his hand away. "I'm not used to contact. Not anymore."

"Hey, it's alright. Don't worry." You put your hand up against his again, this time letting your fingers intertwine with his a bit.

He leaned slightly closer, relaxing completely and shutting his eyes again.

"It's... It's gonna be okay, Will." You gently placed a hand on his face, getting a soft robotic, almost purring noise out of him. "It's okay. I've got you- I'm here now. I'm here."

That was all it took. He quickly wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into a hug, and cried.

You did the same.

twilight for the uninitiated

HEYLO BABYGIRLS, BITCHBOYS, AND BOYCOTTERS OF THE BINARY! It's your favourite (and I should hope only) Good Omens Mascot and Maggot Prince here. Yesterday (earlier today? idk I sleep in naps) way over on the maggots server some of y'all were insulting Twilight. Which I am 100% supportive of, but for Bildaddy's sake, you need to insult it CORRECTLY.

But should you have to hate-watch or hate-read it? Nah, you've got me. In middle school I got late to school because I was reading the books in the bathroom instead of getting ready. I'VE GOT YOU! Gonna mix up the book and movie for optimum enjoyment.

Dramatis Personae: Edward Cullen, aka Sparkles the Vampire. Bella Swan, aka Bella Sue. Jacob Black, aka Wolfy Eggfucker. Charlie Swan, aka Gunboy ACAB. And Dr Carlisle Cullen, aka Zaddy. @orpiknight taught me that word.

ALRIGHT! So Bella Sue's mum and dad are divorced and she lives with her mum. But her mum's like lmao fuck you when she gets a touring boyfriend and tosses Bella Sue to Forks, where it rains a lot, and where her dad Gunboy lives.

So Bella Sue grabs a cactus because that represents Arizona and hauls ass, and Gunboy makes awkward comments about her hair. Bonding! But then he gets her a pickup truck, which is wild-o.

First day of school and Bella Sue is very popular because Small Town and the boys are very tingly in the ballsacks if you catch my drift. Anna Kendrick asks her why she's white (YOU CAN'T JUST ASK PEOPLE WHY THEY'RE WHITE, KAREN!) and then promptly forgets she was in the movie.

INTRODUCING THE VAMPIRES! This is a vampire story, by the way. There's Himbo, Blonde Murderer, and they're dating/married. There's Bi Awakening and some constipated looking dude from the Confederate army, and they're dating/married (don't worry about it). There's Sparkles, of course, and they all walk into the cafeteria being Hot apparently. Sparkles stares at Bella Sue. This is to be a common theme.

Sparkles thinks Bella Sue stinks. No, like, literally, she stinks coz he wants to eat her and food smells etc. Bella Sue also has magic powers and Sparkles can't read her mind. He's like >:(=. Those are his fangs, btw. But then he goes away with his family to hunt animals and drink blood and comes back like :)=.

Bella Sue almost gets hit by a car but then Sparkles jumps in and pushes it away. He then gaslight gatekeeps girlbosses her, and googles adrenaline rush to explain it to her. AND GUESS WHO HEALS HER? IT'S SPARKLES'S DAD, AND MY ZADDY. He walks into the ER all blonde and gentle and competent. Oh and he's a vampire too and so is his wife but like his magic power is compassion and also he's learned to regulate himself around blood. And he's pretty. Zaddy.

He's so fucking pretty but then we have to go back to the Plot and some humans are being killed or whatever and Gunboy is takin' charge yo. Sparkles keep chasing after Bella Sue to tell her to stay away from him and finding her randomly to remind her to ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY and then he stalks her in the night and has dinner with her after saving her from a gang to tell her to ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY. Also, he's like 110 years old. Whatever.

Oh and Sparkles breaks into her room to watch her sleep at night. It's super duper romantic. (No, trust me, once you see Wolfy in the later books, this will be super duper romantic). Then he takes her to abandoned clearings in woods to threaten to kill her and he tells her to SAY WHAT HE IS and she's like MOSQUITE LEECH VAMPIRE.

AND THEN HE SPARKLES! A LOT! And they go to the Cullens house and play baseball and Zaddy is looking absolutely lovely and welcomes them and even stands off some random vampires that show up. But one of them likey-likey's Bella Sue's blood.

Bella Sue is like lmao fuck you you're not a good dad to Gunboy to keep him safe or whatever and runs away with the Cullens to keep herself safe or whatever. Idk man Zaddy is just very pretty throughout.

And then there's a ballet place and Bella Sue goes there to get murdered coz she doesn't want to be a burden to the Cullens (homegirl never been so real). The Cullens get there and kill the vampire but then she's vampiring so Sparkles sucks the venom out and Zaddy heals her. Looking pretty. Blonde hair, golden eyes, etc.

And then Gunboy and Bella Sue's mum show up and she goes home and she's like SPARKLES TURN ME INTO A VAMPIRE TOO and he's like yo wtf no you'll be a monster (I think he's just pissed he sucked that venom out for nothing) and she's like SPARKLES PLEASE UWU and he's like UGH WE'LL SEE and they dance at prom but anyway there it ends. It should have ended with a shot of Zaddy but anyway.

So heres the charakter lineup of my toh au, idk when i will finish this but i really wanted to share it so far.

Link plays grudgy (or the soccer boiling illes equivalent. He has a horse/dog hybrid familiar.

Taylor is a lil demon looking dude. His familiar works as his cane and can become staff sized and its a jackalope with a rooster tail. I think he and Normal share a human world facination. Feels like a beast keeping and construction kinda guy.

Scary is the purple/silver guard (i havent decided on the name yet) but is also a spy and goes to school with the other teens. She has a synthetic flytrap inspired staff with a purple gem inside its maws. Shes definitly in the abomination track.

The belos equivalent here is Willy (purple robe? Idk yet) he is the one in the corner, hes creepy and doodler esque.

Normal is part human (Henry was from the boiling illes but he got transported to the human world and lost his memories, he and the other dads were transported back to the boiling illes and decided to move there (idk how much of this will stay in the au since these are just my current ideas) Rebecca is a witch tho and lark and sparrow are half witches). Hes is facinated with the human world, still the mascot (i guess they are still in a teen high equivlant). Healing and bard maybe?

Hermie is a basilisk but appears like a witch or at least tries too. There is definitly a dramatic reveal. Bard and illusions (thearte kid in every universe).

I was not the original person to come up with this au btw, this is just my take on since i love the idea.

1. Mr. Bonzo, some stranger esc mascot horror power

2. Needles okayyy fear of needles? trypophobia too maybe? possibly posions but that’s just theory

3. Plants??????? i seriousy cannot guess what this one is

4. Tattoos that become real??? Like. Ink5oul def just has some weird way of manifesting their power/powers. We know they’re marked by a god tho… like they want to be seen but the fear they inflict on others has nothing to do with that idk im seriously lost. Maybe something like the web where the tattoos manipulate things to happen but could be anything

5. That one liminal space episode yea that’s def a widespread fear but not enough for a power of its own so I think its a way a bigger power manifested

6. The violin episode and the lady okay so ik it seems weird to use these together and yea me too, but they both have the theme of using others for selfish purposes. At first glance from a tma lense they seem slaughter and hunt however! this is not tma anymore and as much as I love both those horrifying powers I don’t think they’ll straight up return like it feels they did

7. The Dice listen ik i just said no returns but I seriously cannot think of anything but the end maybe the magnus institute statements are still related to old powers somehow? i don’t think so but idk just throwing thoughts around

8. That one app the crypto bro was on honestly this is the one I can connect to the dice without using the end maybe a fear that life is never in your control? maybe the app was made by the same power mentioned in 6

9. Voyeur movie dude this is literally the eye of something similar like??? i wanted to avoid the thought of fear powers returning but this is just the eye

I had s2 teen thoughts!!

They're all outcasts in their own ways, I will explain my reasoning for saying this

Starting with Taylor bc like he is kinda the hardest to explain? Especially since he's considered "popular"

However, I don't believe Taylor is actually popular. For mutiple reasons. As somebody who has never been considered popular in any of my schooling years (I don't care tho so 🤷), how Erica acts around him feels ever so slightly familiar to how popular kids would treat me. They'd either be overly nice but not include me in anything or were straight-up assholes to me. I think Erica heavily follows into the first category, where she's overly nice but doesn't actually really include Taylor. There are secret popular kid passages through the school (which like, first of all??? Insanity but not the point of this post) that even Taylor didn't know about (pretty strange if he's actually popular, and I know Erica gave a reason but like... mlpeh)

That's really all I got for explaining Taylor... he just feels like the kid the popular kids are nice to but don't actually care about.

Next up, Scary... bc she kinda started the thoughts of this post anyways.

So!! She's alternative. I think saying that gets most of why she'd be an outcast explained but. I'd like to draw our attention to dead and gone (as it's the first song in the album and it gets me enough and it's also in one episode at the end of it so technically it's accessible to everybody!)

So!! I don't remember if it's ever stated by Beth or the cast like anywhere if Holly Smith was a real teen and teen high but also like... even if she isn't, Scary is probably still being bullied in a somewhat similar way as described in the song. As it's not really stated too too much. But she's called a clown by Holly as Holly points at her, and everybody laughs at her. It sounds like she's at least been picked on, so it wouldn't be shocking if she was also bullied/was considered an outcast.

Next is Lincoln.

This is really easy.

He was homeschooled... he has only gotten to know his school peers for like... a tiny bit? Or so?? Since the teens spent at the most like 3-4 months actually at school???

So like. He's just an outcast for being new and also homeschooled

And now Normal... where do I start with the poor boy.

Let's start with the fact he is the mascot kid of the school. He is Teeny the Teen! People don't like teeny the teen. So ofc he's an outcast.

He also can't wash his clothes and so he stinks... so like... yeah. Outcast.

And now Hermie. (Imagine a vine boom after each point.)

Theater kid.

Not actually a student at teen high.

Not even human.

Need I say more???

And the fact that Dood, who represents being a teenager really? Is like these 5 teens

Dood feels really like the representation of not just being a teenager but one that's been outcasted by others

Which like. Is fitting for their story and arc...

As someone that hasn't reached Natlan yet is it just me or does everything about it feel a bit too modern & cartoony? Like characters breakdancing is fine that's pretty cool but those dinosaur things look kinda cartoony and idk how well all the graffiti themed UI elements I saw in Mualani & Kachina's trial runs & Kinich's Minecraft looking one suit the rest of Genshin's aesthetics. Also not a fan of Mualani's animations. They look too silly & "anime" if that makes sense? (So sorry for the rant the rest of the internet seems super in love with everything Natlan has offered so far but Natlan's aesthetic(?) isn't at all how I thought it would be (that's a me problem I know but still lol))

Nah, I'm with you. Genshin's designs have always been somewhat modernised, but Natlan takes it a step too far. I get Genshin wanting to assign an aesthetic to each region, and I'm sure there's some lore justification for Ajaw/Kinich looking like that, but it doesn't match up with Genshin's previous style :/

Like, Mualani's cartooniness reminded me of the ZZZ ads, and… well, I saw the new HSR character, Rappa's, leaked animations? And you'll never guess, but she's focused on graffiti, has a surfing animation, and some of her special effects resemble the cartoony Natlan SFX graphics. It feels like HYV's games, the style of which has always been pretty homogeneous, is really starting to lose some of their identity.

Mavuika, Kinich and Xilonen, I think, you could be forgiven for assuming weren't Genshin characters. Ororon just reminds me of Moze. Like, I'm unimpressed with a lot of Natlan's design elements in general, it feels very, uh... well, I don't think a lot of research went into it (or if it did most of it was disregarded for whatever reason, marketing/differentiating it from previous regions maybe), and it feels like HYV is compensating for that with uh.... modern...ish... / American aesthetics?

i'm sure there's some dumb lore reason for the pixels but it really just does feel like. wrong game. go back to hsr. do not collect 200 mora

For the dinosaurs, I'm pretty sure they're just the latest in "what cute mascots can we sell merch of THIS region?" so its to be expected, though I'm generally pretty ?? lol about the fact that they're simultaneously killable enemies AND the source of attempted sympathy points… (oh no! that dinosaur is injured! gotta help them! while holding the body parts of fellow dinos you have killed what)

Before: pon, quiet or shy, german

After: pon, I was correct there, also German, but they literally debuted HoloEU with 1 vtuber and all the languages she speaks. I'm actually surprised at how hilarious she is. Her humor can be pretty subtle or dry but also out loud as well. Really cute and subtle accent, also short at about 5'3". Actually likes tea, unlike the BRIT. ALSO THE VIOLIN, insanely talented.

Before: light voice, the horny one, fake Italian (like how Ame is "British"), tall, likes Pokemon

After: deeper voice than expected, but still quite charming in combination with her actual Italian accent, and only 5'2" (perfect chin resting height). I knew the moment I saw her mascot she was a Pokemon fan, and her disdain for reading even solidified that lol (no seriously, for some reason a good chunk of us hate reading). She seems less "horny" like I thought she'd be, and is more "cultured" (although I am curious about all the Nerissa files) if anything so far, at least she hasn't gone Nerissa yet. Her art is actually professional level, and if I'm guessing correctly, Hololive might have hired another overqualified vtuber because WOW, and she wants to be a future Hololive "mama" (aka the artist that draws the actual vtuber before it gets rigged). Very sweet, I like her food ideas, although i am a bit saddened she does not like pineapple on pizza. I think most already know who she was previously, because it was almost a 1 to 1 transition basically, so I think it's a well deserved spot in Hololive. Here's hoping maybe Nintendo stops being Dicks and lets her play Pokemon someday. Also, it sounds like she's been auditioning for years, so big congrats to her for finally getting in.

Justice as a whole

They seem to get along well, and have a pretty fun sibling bond already with banter and razzing- surprised by the lack of Liz and Rao flirting tbh, every Gen has a "ship" that seems almost immediate.

Idk why I was worried that Cover was going to go too hardball on their lore with such an intense focus on cross Gen lore and interaction with Advent, because in actuality they're about as adorably threatening as Team Rocket's Jesse, James, Meowth, and Wobbuffet- but if they were the good guys.

I can't wait for the collab ban to be lifted, because I NEED all of them to collab with the others and especially Advent. I wanna know who their oshis are and if there's any EN side that normally aren't oshis to newbies.

A pretty fun set, although I think I need a bit more time to really get to know them before I pick a definitive favorite. At the least, Kiara finally has EU buddies to collab and visit with.

So! Pixies.

Once again I have no idea if I’m about to spout an Unpopular Opinion or not but…..I don’t like…..little, ‘Mascot’ characters. And I tend not to like the Pixies. Theyre trying Too Hard to be Beloved and it CAN be pulled off..........but I’m sorry I can’t stand their shrill little voices………………

I GET that it’s a kids show and you want little critters to appeal to little kids and sell toys of but like… the cast of Winx is HUGE and bloated at a baseline?? Like the Winx and Specialists by themselves are already so much to deal with. I will say upon rewatch, the Pixies are definitely better than like, any of the other little critters they add in later seasons. There are definitely episodes where the pixies Work and aren't completely overwhelming, and they're liked enough to be worth keeping, conceptually.

I like the idea of the pixies being plot relevant to the fairies development, and I actually have been thinking about explicitly tying them to charmix (or, idk if I’m keeping the concept of Charmix entirely intact because its BARELY a form. But i guess it can remain as a concept, and as a stepping stone to leveling up a fairy has to get her pixie/charmix (so its a standard step not just something the Winx girls have)

I really like how Amore and Chatta specifically contrast Stella/Flora’s respective personalities, because it brings to mind to me that charmix is supposed to be about overcoming some personal fear or weakness/character flaw, it makes sense to me to tie them together.

THAT SAID some of the pixie/fairy relationships are stronger than others.

Lockette’s theming as Pixie of Portals/a wayfinder can be styled as helping Bloom who is currently feeling ‘lost’ in an unfamiliar world, help her navigate both herself learning about and her newly discovered backstory/identity. I think that pretty much works: Lockette encourages Bloom to find the truth even if she’s kind of afraid to/ has been avoiding it. Amore’s calm peacekeeper demeanor definitely helps to temper Stella, and I feel like she could help deal with issues of not just romantic love but her relationships with her friends and her parents. I think Stella is full of love and affection, but doesn’t always show it / in the most considerate way.

Chatta forcing Flora to talk to Helia about her feelings is a pretty good example of what she brings to the table there, though I never want it to be just flattened to Flora’s romantic subplot - Flora could do with speaking up more in general! Have her forced to intercede in a friend conflict or assert herself when previously she was just letting the group overrule her!

Piff. I am conflicted about. Because like… she’s just a fuckin’ baby. there's a limited amount of personality there. She's sleepy. She's baby. I guess I think it’s cute that she helps Aisha with her bad dreams. I knee-jerk wondered if it was in bad taste to ‘mom-ify’ Aisha by giving her effectively a baby to care for but it really doesn’t read like that too much because Aisha is arguably one of the best-written and most complex of the girls. Piff could play a dual role - as someone Aisha has to stand up for and be brave for, but also a manifestation of childish wonder, to push Aisha to enjoy things she maybe didn’t have the opportunity to experience as a kid.

Tune is where it starts to lose me. I get it, Musa is tomboyish and brash and Tune is about manners but that really doesn’t feel as…important a problem to deal with? I feel like it may be a thing where Musa has to like… repair difficult relationships she has that are made rockier by how quick she is to argue, or maybe take responsibility for mistakes - like a formal apology and maturely talking about things rather than being avoidant? I’m not sure it’s best styled as ‘Etiquette’ if that’s the case. I’m taking suggestions on this one idk.

Aaaaaand they didn’t even try with Digit. She’s just a Flanderized version of Tecna. It doesn’t feel like she contrasts or challenges Tecna’s personality in any interesting way...Idk I kind of feel like she has to be changed whole cloth?

I know they replaced Tune and Digit but I’m not as familiar with Cherie or Caramel. I might look into whether their concepts work better for Musa and Tecna character arcs as they are currently swirling around in my head. What's the general consensus on those two?

My design thoughts are. I want to make the pixies much more…. Abstract I guess? What if they’re not their own species as much as concentrated sparks of magic - Fairies generate a lot of excess magic, hence ‘their pixie’ is actually a part of them - a little external manifestation of their magic fissured off my whatever internal conflicts or unaddressed needs they have, and resolving that allows them to re fuse with the Fairy? (Bonus: pixies are only around when relevant and I can poof them away when I don’t want them in a scene lol)
