Enzo doesn't even ask TK if he wants to take care of Jonah. His mind immediately goes to sending him away to a boarding school in Switzerland. Where he'll be away from his big brother. I want to like Enzo but it's kind of hard.

To be fair to Enzo in this moment, he’s trying to provide for his son in the best way he knows how to and that’s in the way that was demonstrated to him as a child (since he says he went to this same school).

Yes, Jonah would be away from his big brother. but how is that different from how it was before? Prior to now it’s not as though Jonah has had much of a physical presence in TK’s life - he was always away from his brother. I don’t think Enzo would be thinking of that as a factor.

If anything I think something to focus on here, especially if you’re trying to be empathetic towards Enzo as a character, is how far away Jonah would be from his father. Enzo is potentially looking at many years locked behind bars and he’s making plans that would mean he wouldn’t get to have visits with his child while in prison. I’m sure that’s not a choice he’s making lightly, because that thought is probably devastating to him as a parent. But he’s making that sacrifice because he thinks he’s doing what’s best for Jonah.

I can’t wait to see the rest of this conversation, and any others they may have, because even from that one line “who is gonna hug him?” we can see that while Enzo is thinking of how he’s going to provide for Jonah financially, TK immediately thinks of how Jonah is going to be cared for emotionally. and that’s so very TK.

lorenzo was born in florence, italy. his family had a coven of their own, and because he was born into his powers, he learned from a young age how to use his powers, as well as the ins and outs of a coven and how they worked.

his family is also extremly wealthy which highkey turned him into a spoilt brat with no actual understanding of money or its worth

once he hit eighteen and his didn’t come through he kinda lost it a little? he’s such a hopeless romantic and to not get his mark, he figured it was because something must be wrong with him 

his mama tried to help as best she could but she didn’t think there would ever be a time when vampires would get their marks back.

she wasn’t entirely happy her baby being paired with a vampire, but she also knew it just meant he was better suited for one

the two did try every spell and curse they knew, in hopes of giving him his mark, but nothing ever worked. 

eventually, he just got this feeling that italy wasn’t where he belonged.

he tried to explain it but never could, just this niggling little feeling inside him that told him he needed to be somewhere else

he needed to be away from here. 

so his parents packed him ( and his older sibling, bc they didn’t trust him being alone ) up and told him to follow his heart. ( his father instantly deciding it must be the soulmark making him feel this way, even if he didn’t have one. )

his parents were always the cheesy type though, beliving in true love and all that.

it’s where he got it from, his hopeless romantic side. 

however, once they arrived in everwinter, the feeling that had been pulling him there disappeared. he panicked at first, but after hours on the phone with his mamma, a lot of her trying to convince him he should come back home, so he met them half way with it, visiting home as often as he could while also trying to set up a life in everwinter. 

so, he set up a life for himself, finished school and went into business before eventually opening his own occult store. mostly selling and looking into all the magical objects he could only find in italty. ( eventually going into the more rarity of things )

he also looked into the coven within everwinter, but after deciding it wasn’t for him, enzo went solo. he still felt like he belonged back in his own coven.

he is more free and open with his own magic, but that was just how he was taught. reckless and irresponsible with his magic.

Stranger Things Thoughts

No one asked but after my annual rewatch wanted to share some season 4 musingssss

Okay so first:

I really hope that Nancy ends the series single. I don’t see the writers back tracking to make Robin x Nancy thing (which I’m for and find delightful and hilarious due to their canon dynamic), and I don’t want her to end up with Steve or Jonathan at this point. Jonathan wants something different, and I feel Steve has this idolized version of Nancy. Her character is one I could see still seeking mystery and adventure in the future, if they kill Nancy in S5 I would be genuinely shocked. I truly love the idea of her ending the series single and on good terms with everyone, mainly due to her age. Going through college I saw way too many people that have been dating or haven’t been single since middle school, and it’s be cool to end the show with a character was a focal point in the romance aspect for a good chunk of it single.

Kiddos:

Dustin: I literally just want him to live. I don’t think they’d kill any of the kiddos but like….Max is on thin ice soooooooooo

Lucas: For the other kiddos to give him more love? Season four he gave and gave and gave and gave. Lucas needs more like…appreciation lol

Max: omg girl I need you to live or something pls

Mike: …..they won’t kill him and nothing bad has happened to him. Like no, the worst thing to occur to him was when Billy knocked him out in S3 and he was fine a few mins later. He’ll be fine.

El: my sweet baby angel, I want you to tear a whole dimension apart. I’d love to see her do smth new with her powers…idk what but like if she’s back to full steam I think she deserves some new tricks as a treat

Will: best boy for last, I am still holding out on Will getting powers. He was in the upside down for a week, AND had Vecna in his mind for like…..a few days and managed to still get a message to the gang. Plus! I wanna see more sibling interactions between him an El, I am more interested in that than whatever shipping is going on between the children which I can’t get behind bc….they’re like…13? 14? They’re babies. ALSO I hope Will comes out to his friends as well, but also I hope they don’t introduce some random new character for him to get a crush on. I’m not huge on Will x Mike mainly bc I’m not a huge Mike fan, and again….shipping….

Adults:

Joyce: this woman and her children need a fucking vacation, Joyce should get a gun and like….idk what else Joyce is a great woman and she and Hopper deserve a long nap

Hopper: I hope he has like something go right for him this season. Like have a super good time with something and it not be a direct part of story development let the man have emotional rest. Also get him some lasagna and bread sticks.

Enzo: pls give me more Enzo, he’s a lil daddy also seems like a…character who has more to add to the story

Murray: He’s my baby girl, he has a black belt, he speaks Russian, my father and I both adore him, he’s a bitch, he’s got the biggest heart, he flew out to check on Joyce after she lost the call, he went with her to Russia to get Hopper back, and the funniest guy on there (to me). IF he dies, after making me watch Bob, Aleksi, and my beloved Eddie die I actually become a hater. He is the one character whose death I don’t think I could handle, well maybe Steve but yeah

Teens:

Robin: let her function, like a bit better around Vicky, I still need her to be a disaster otherwise however. Also live, she’s sweet and should not be separated from Steve

Nancy: see above

Jonathan: I hope he and Nancy amicably break up, and be better friends because of it. They do work well together. If they stay together I’ll be surprised because they had some issues in season 3, and then more obvious ones in season 4. Narrative wise they are headed for break up city, I’ll be shocked if they make it.

Argyle: I need him to live, he’s the gentle giant, the Shaggy and scooby, he’s precious.

Steve:

Where do I start? Okay SO Steve is babygirl, and I’m over here thinking it would be neat for Steve to work on himself S5. I don’t see Nancy x Steve working again because 1: I’m not a fan of a character ending a relationship and jumping to another. I didn’t like how quickly Jonathan and Nancy got together in S2. 2., Steve had no romantic interest in Nancy in season 3. Literally none, it felt weird to have him pining over her in season 4. Steve has been used to subvert quite a few tropes already, and has become a very kind character because of it. He spends time with Dustin and gives him advice, he went to the basketball game and cheered for Lucas when everyone else was doing something else (Max gets a pass but she wasn’t there tho), constantly put himself between the kids and danger, accepted Robin for who she was when she came out to him, and ran back into danger for Nancy and Jonathan when they first fought the demogorgan.

I think Steve is my favorite character in this entire show, there are aspects of him that I relate to. He’s not the smartest guy there, but he tries, he wants to help his friends. He wants to protect, he wants to love and be loved so bad. Steve looks out for others so much, and I want to see him have a happy ending, but like…a satisfying happy ending. Idk how else to put it.

Hopes/Theories:

Eddie is still alive, because I’m delulu but also it would be fun to have him come back in season 5. He doesn’t have to come back as a bad guy, but I’m not opposed to him coming back with suddenly no memory and to be used against the kiddos and teens as a friend they left to die in the upside down (again), annnnndddd maybe having some more monstrous features about him…that go away as he remembers his friends and humanity. Anyways I really would love to see him again because also…like Eddie / Robin / Steve / Nancy as a group working together had such chemistry oh my God. Like they all had such fun chemistry together, and Jonathan is def better suited to be with Will/Mike/Argyle. Good dynamics.

Will should get powers and rip Vecna apart or at least help El in doing so. See above for more reasons why. But also Vecna put Will through a lot. Will needs some closure from the trauma he had.

Alternatively: Max gets powers from where El brought her back, being connected to Vecna who tortured her mental health, and being “blank” at the end of season 4. Her mind it’s own sensory deprivation tank, and during her “coma” maybe she develops something.

i wanna ask, wich driver would you like to see on screaming meals?

Ohhhh this is a tough one because I honestly have a head cannon that Marcus will eventually do this full time and dive into Motorsport media if he doesn’t do racing himself so it’s open a lot of possibility or guests. (Or at least I hope he does.) Sorry if this is a little long, I've watched my fair share of motorsport podcasts and I just think this one is so special.

It's hard to determine but this is my list nonetheless:

1) people we have no idea about (photographers, managers, race engineers etc.)

I would absolutely love this idea. These are the people that spend the most time with drivers in the most unfiltered way and they’d be close enough to not hold back. They likely would've had enough of their (especially Marcus') neuroses to really just put people on blast. If I only could pick one though, my pick would be to have MP Motorsport’s Coordinator Jen. I think she's a real hidden powerhouse in the paddock, taking on so many vital roles during her career and I always love hearing stories of the behind the scenes that keep this crazy travelling circus running. With how hectic everything gets, she's bound to have crazy stories of things going wrong or figuring things out last minute. Also, imo, she always puts out some of the best photos of the weekend. They're always so candid and full of personality which is really hard to capture well in photos. She may be more reserved but this would also be the perfect opportunity for Clem (the newest co-host in town) to solo host or only host with James along with Felipe as a returning guest following his championship win. Jen would have the comfort of two people she's already close with as well as someone who's able to be more inquisitive, structured, and relatable to the audience. Would also love to hear her perspective on what it's like as a third party, non-racer, watching someone go through the motions of winning a championship. (Also big bonus: she's a Kiwi!)

2) Paris Armstrong

Younger sister energy goes hard and you know we’d get the most embarrassing stories about Marcus from her because at the end of the day, he’s not an F2 Motorsport driver; he’s a pain in the ass that she’s unfortunately blood-related to. It’s also always interested me that most drivers move away from home so early in their lives. It’d be great to see them touch on what growing up was like given that they now live in London together/originally started the Screaming Meals Instagram together.

3) Lando Norris

He’s been mentioned quite a bit on the podcast already through karting stories even though they don't claim to be close. I think his dry humour, quick wit, and generally cluelessly upbeat personality would be really fun to have on the podcast. Not to mention, having him on the podcast I think would be the best foray into having higher profile F1 personalities on the podcast that aren't close friends. (Screaming Meals special where they all go karting again for old times sake? Ft. Callum Ilott? We can only hope for now.)

4) Liam Lawson

Triple the trouble. I know they technically don’t get on well or aren’t particularly close, but it’d be fun to hear the return of Marcus going full kiwi because at this point, Clem sounds more kiwi than Marcus does. It's also because I wonder if James has any stories of bumping into Liam during the NZ karting circuits because it's such a small circle. Liam is pretty chaotic so I think it'd be interesting to see what the dynamic is like. I'm pretty sure in this case, to have a non-awkward episode there might have to be a secondary guest. The obvious pick would be Juri Vips because he's close with both Liam and Marcus but uh- idk how that would really work.

5) Robert Schwartzman

While bringing Jehan, Callum, and/or Enzo on the same episode. I'd love for them to recount their old Prema days. Some of the wildest stories we've heard so far were from the episode with Callum so there's bound to be more from their end as well. I'm mostly thinking about that boxing story between Rob and Enzo. (Another specials idea where they do a boxing challenge to relive that one training camp?)

6) Guanyu Zhou

Although we don't see it as much, Zhou does happen to be quite close with them. (As pictured in the latest Screaming Meals IG story.) That would be something really interesting to listen to because Zhou is such a reserved character on the Paddock. He's definitely got a sense of humour and I think having a space like Screaming Meals where they can just banter and go back and forth, we'd be able to see a new/hidden side of him.

7) James Harvey Blair (The man himself)

James, James, James. Ngl I think he really carries this show. He's given us some of the greatest moments so far and I think people really overlook a host like James. For podcasts, it's so important to have a host or a character that the audience can channel themselves through and in this case, I think it's James. He's always so on top of keeping the questions going and while he is the brunt of a lot of jokes, I hope he really gets the love and appreciation he deserves. (I think sometimes you can see the jokes kind of get to him) Having a podcast on him and what his story is besides "I'm just a no-name insurance broker" would be special. If anything, having it as a birthday special would be really nice. Also, what is it like being in a space that he was so close to for so many years while not driving himself? Growing up, it's so hard to let go of things that are so familiar to you; that basically built and raised you as a person. I'm always so interested in that narrative, of drivers that had to at some point make the decision or were forced into making the decision of stopping motorsport. (Also James casually just name dropping he works for Lloyd's like it's not one of the world's biggest and oldest powerhouses when it comes to insurance and finances???)

8) Rory, the Editor

Just let me know what goes on behind those cuts and bleeps. LOL but all jokes aside I just want to know how Rory ended up as their editor and what it's like travelling and working for Screaming Meals. What were his other experiences before this? Was he working in motorsport or did he somehow just fall into this??? So many questions for the floating voice off camera. Again, another birthday special featuring Rory would be really fun and a great way to show their appreciation for the work he does on the podcast.

Anyways, there's a reason I love this podcast sm and It's because I think it really offers what the sport is missing/needs in order to progress and grow into their newer audience. People like to hate on new fans or fans joining just for the personalities of the drivers but those aren't reasons to discredit them as fans of the sport. They watch the races, keep up with what's going on and if that doesn't make you a fan I don't know what does. Often what the sport needs are these personalities to draw people in first, especially when it comes to grasping a younger demographic that you need in order to build a long lasting fanbase so the sport doesn't die out. Older motorsport media doesn't do a good job of hooking in a newer fanbase, especially for F2. It's dry and it often seems too overproduced to really get genuine stories from drivers who are a lot newer and shyer to the media ring. We're just seeing the emergence of an audience looking for these more modern media outlets such as WTF1, PitStop, and TG1F to name a few. Screaming Meals is in the optimal place to become a motorsport media mainstay and is already quickly becoming a ticket for a huge uptick in F2 support. This could translate to more eyes and opportunities as a whole for the series and feeder drivers itself. Too bad the FIA and F2 media don't see more value in this, but hey, they can now just take the show and run with it without having to bend to the whim of some mega media conglomerate

When in the hospital they find out how it happened and that it's mostly Owen's fault (I don't know, for example, he allowed Tk to enter the unstable building to tend to the patient, or whether he made someone else angry and this person unloaded it on TK, or Owen decided to do something reckless and TK wanted to save him or it is The arson situation from 2x12 so Gwyn arrives pregnant, without a baby of course), Gwyn slaps him twice and Enzo punches him right in the nose, breaking it, for risking TK's life. Fortunately, despite the bad prognosis, TK wakes up, but after he took his sweet time being in a coma.

For years after the divorce, Gwyn came to learn that any call from Owen was almost certainly bad news.

TK got in a fight.

TK overdosed.

TK was shot, he’s in the hospital.

Over and over, until the first words out of her mouth whenever Owen’s name flashed up on her screen were, What’s wrong?

Things have been better in the three years since her time in Texas. Gwyn suspects it’s partly TK’s influence—he’s been more than enthusiastic in getting to know his baby brother, and Isaac has latched onto TK despite only seeing him in person every few months or so. But they’ve talked as well, she and Owen, and they really are doing better. They’re almost like friends now, which is why Gwyn thinks nothing of it when he calls just after she’s put Isaac to bed for the night.

“Owen, hey,” she greets. “What’s up?”

The silence she’s answered with is the first sign that something’s wrong.

The sob that follows is the second.

“Owen?” Gwyn repeats, louder this time, her heart leaping into her throat. She sits down heavily on the sofa as she waits for Owen’s response; there’s only one thing that could make him cry like that, and tears prick at Gwyn’s eyes as she imagines TK hurt again, or worse.

“Gwyn,” Owen eventually manages to gasp out, voice wrecked. “Gwyn, it’s TK. He’s… You need to get here. You need— It’s not like last time. They don’t know if he’s going to— They don’t think— It’s bad. Really bad.”

Owen breaks off, crying harder, and Gwyn claps a hand to her mouth. She remembers well how devastated he’d been when he called about the gunshot, but this a whole other level. Gwyn’s head spins with the potential implications of that and she finds her breath coming in sharp gasps, but it’s Owen’s next words that knocks it from her altogether.

“They think we should say goodbye.”

The rest of the story comes haltingly—someone got angry after his son couldn’t be saved on a call, he came to the firehouse, he attacked TK—but Gwyn barely hears it. Her boy is in the hospital again and this time…this time he might not be coming home. She can’t understand it; she spoke to him just two days ago, they made plans for he and Carlos to visit for Isaac’s birthday, and now…

“I’m so sorry, Gwyn,” Owen finishes. She feels a flash of that age-old urge to scream at him, but she fights it off, not wanting to wake Isaac.

“I’ll be on the first flight over,” she promises, then ends the call, sliding off the couch to the floor. Her phone falls from limp fingers and harsh sobs tear from her throat, muffled by the press of her fist against her mouth.

Enzo finds her there an hour later and immediately takes her in his arms, not complaining about her tears soaking his shirt. When she tells him what happened, he insists on joining her, and Gwyn allows herself to take that shred of comfort and run with it.

She thinks it’s the only comfort she’s likely to get right now.

The next flight isn’t until morning, so Gwyn spends a sleepless night packing and unpacking their suitcases and making phone calls with the firm and her clients to cancel everything for the foreseeable. She has the brief, terrible thought about whether she should pack funeral attire, which almost sends her into a panic attack as reality hits her all over again.

Enzo saves her from it, gently guiding her to bed, but not before she packs the clothes anyway.

Isaac seems to pick up on her mood when they’re hurrying out of the house, remaining mostly quiet aside from the odd question about where they’re going. He perks up considerably when he finds out they’re heading to Austin, babbling about seeing TK, and Gwyn has to blink hard to keep from crying again. Enzo reaches over to take her hand, and he barely lets go until they’re landing in Austin.

The entrance to the ICU looms before her, and Gwyn feels stuck. There had been a part of her, still, that had hoped to find TK miraculously awake and on the mend, like the last time she had made this trip. She doesn’t want to believe that he’s here, hurt, maybe dying.

But he is, and she’s forcefully reminded of that fact when a kind-looking nurse approaches her hesitantly.

“Ma’am? Can I help you?”

Gwyn blinks at her, her brain taking a moment to catch up. “I, um. I’m here to see my son. TK Strand.” She pauses, then shakes her head, cursing herself internally. “Tyler Kennedy Strand.”

The nurse’s entire demeanour changes, a sympathetic smile taking over her face. “This way.” She leads Gwyn through the ICU, then points at a door near the end of the corridor. “Tyler’s room is just there. I promise, we’re doing everything we can for him.”

Gwyn nods absently, her gaze stuck on the door the nurse had indicated. She walks forward slowly, the room seeming to get further and further away until, suddenly, she’s standing on the threshold, and she sees her son.

TK is barely visible, his face half-obscured by the ventilator, half by bruises, and heavy gauze covers his forehead. His arms, resting limply at his sides, are littered with scrapes, and if Gwyn squints, she can just about make out more bandages peeking out from under the hospital gown.

She’d thought that seeing him would make it all real, but she feels separate from everything somehow, only one thought going through her mind on repeat.

This is not my son.

A quiet whisper draws her attention to the figure sitting at TK’s side. Gwyn has to suppress a gasp as she takes in Carlos’s appearance; she hasn’t seen him in person since the wedding last year, and his pale face and red-rimmed eyes cut a stark contrast to that day. He hasn’t noticed her yet, wholly fixated on TK, one hand gently stroking the tufts of hair poking out above the bandage. His lips move and Gwyn knows she should walk away, but instead she finds herself leaning closer, straining to hear Carlos’s words.

“It’s okay, sweetheart,” he’s saying. “I know you’re fighting and I know you’re going to try as hard as you can to come back to us—believe me, Ty, I am praying every day to see those pretty green eyes of yours open again. But I—I want you to know that it’s okay if you can’t. If it gets too hard, if you need to let go, you can. I already miss you like crazy and I really, really, don’t want to live the rest of my life without you, but the thing I can’t stand more than that is the idea of you suffering.

“Come back if you can, but if someday you find you can’t, remember that I love you and we’ll be okay. I promise.”

Carlos sniffs and ducks his head to place a gentle, lingering kiss on TK’s cheekbone. It’s such a tender, intimate moment, but it quickly shatters when Carlos looks up and spots her, his eyes going wide. “Gwyn. I’m sorry, I didn’t realise you were there.”

She waves him off, willing herself to finally step into the room. “I’m the one who’s sorry. I should have said something, but I didn’t want to interrupt.”

Carlos nods, giving her a small, sad smile, which Gwyn does her best to return. She pulls up another chair and sinks into it, reaching out to take TK’s hand. She’s startled by the coolness of his skin, and more tears burn in the back of her eyes.

“What did the doctors say?” she asks, clearing her throat and twisting her body towards Carlos, though her eyes never leave TK.

“That it was a miracle he made it through surgery,” Carlos says, sighing wearily. “Eight stab wounds, too much blood loss, damage to his organs, broken ribs—that’s all bad enough, but they’re most worried about his brain. He took at least two blows to the head, and add that to the fact he wasn’t breathing for a good few minutes… They keep saying not to speculate, but we all know the odds here.”

Carlos’s voice breaks and Gwyn reaches out to comfort him, feeling sick to her stomach at the revelation. Why anyone would do this to her boy, she can’t comprehend; she finds herself both wanting answers and feeling unable to take any more.

Owen chooses that moment to appear in the doorway, looking every bit as wrecked as he sounded on the phone. “Gwyn,” he says roughly. “I’m glad you’re here.”

Carlos moves as if to give them privacy, but Gwyn shakes her head at him, cutting off his protests before he can even get them out. “You stay with him, Carlos,” she tells him. “We’ll talk in the hall.”

They head to a quiet spot not too far from TK’s room, and Gwyn turns to face Owen, holding her arms. “What the hell happened, Owen? Why is our son lying in there, not even breathing on his own?”

A flicker of a frown crosses Owen’s face. “I told you—”

“No, you didn’t.” Gwyn clenches her jaw, staring him down. “You said he’d been attacked, not that some maniac had used him as their personal punching bag.”

A few more seconds pass before Owen relents, sighing. “There was a call,” he starts, voice heavy with sorrow. “A car accident; dad and his kid were trapped inside. We got the dad out but the son was stuck pretty good. It took a long time to free him and by then it was too late—EMS did their best, but he was gone.

“The dad went ballistic, screaming at all of us, but especially at TK. We don’t really know why, but it was probably a convenience thing; TK had been the one to break the news, he was the closest person—the guy wasn’t exactly thinking clearly. He threatened him, tried to hit him—the cops had to arrest him eventually, but you know TK. He refused to press charges, said that the dad was just in shock and that he understood.”

Gwyn smiles a little at that; her son has always been too forgiving for his own good. It’s never come back to hurt him this badly before, though.

Owen pauses, throat bobbing as he seems to work up to the next part. His voice is quiet, and he seems reluctant to meet Gwyn’s eyes. “He showed up at the firehouse a week later—the dad, I mean. He said he wanted to apologise and, I swear, Gwyn, he really did seem genuine. None of us wanted to let him near TK, but ultimately it was TK’s decision. They went round the side of the house to talk; when neither of them came back after twenty minutes, we went looking.

“By that time, the guy was gone, and TK was…” He stops and shakes his head, swallowing hard. “He could barely breathe. Tommy and Nancy did what they could and they got him here quickly, but we have no idea how long he’d been like that before we found him.”

Gwyn’s head snaps up, a white-hot anger flashing through her. “I can’t believe you,” she hisses. “You left our son alone with a man who had already threatened him for twenty minutes, Owen.”

Owen frowns. “I told you, he seemed genuine. And TK—”

Gwyn can’t help it; she slaps him. “Don’t you dare,” she grounds out, crowding into Owen’s space. “Don’t you dare act like this was his fault.”

“I wasn’t—”

Her arm moves on instinct, but before she can connect again, a hand closes around her wrist. Gwyn turns to find Enzo staring at her, brow wrinkled in confusion.

“Gwyn, what’s going on?”

She shakes her head and takes a step back from Owen, freeing herself from Enzo’s grasp. “What’s going on,” she responds tightly, “is that he is part of the reason why my son is half-dead in there.”

Enzo gapes between them. “What?”

She ignores the question, needing to focus on anything else to keep her anger from overwhelming her. “What are you doing here anyway? Where’s Isaac?”

“He’s with Grace and Judd, they offered to babysit so I could come here. What—”

“Hang on,” Owen interrupts. “What is he doing here? I figured he’d stay in New York with the kid.”

“Isaac is TK’s brother, Owen,” Gwyn says, turning on him again. “And Enzo has just as much right to be here as any of us; he was more of a father to TK than you were sometimes.”

Owen’s eyebrows shoot up to his hairline. “Him? You’re joking, right?”

Gwyn isn’t sure what happens next, who starts it, but soon they’re all yelling, insults and accusations flying around the ward. There’s a furious nurse heading their way, but before she can say anything, another voice cuts through the argument, quiet and trembling but still somehow powerful.

“Get out,” Carlos says. “All of you.”

They all turn to him, Gwyn’s lips parting in shock. Owen takes a step towards him, holding his hands out in a gesture that’s probably meant to be pacifying.

“Carlos—”

“I mean it, Owen,” he snaps, harsher than Gwyn has ever heard him before. “You all screaming at each other is the last thing any of us needs, least of all TK. The only person to blame in all this is the guy who attacked him, and he’s already in custody; he’ll get what’s coming to him. If TK—” Carlos breaks off, clenching his jaw and staring down at the floor. He closes his eyes for a moment, before breathing out shakily and looking back up at them. “If anything changes, I’ll call you, I promise. But you can’t be here right now. Go, please.”

Carlos doesn’t wait for a response before turning on his heel and going back into TK’s room, reassuming his position next to the bed. Gwyn watches him for a second, nodding when Enzo pointedly takes her elbow.

“He’s right,” she says, directed at Owen. “We should go.”

Owen glares, gearing up to argue again, but he must think better of it as he suddenly slumps, all the energy draining out of him. “Right,” he mutters. “Right.”

They file slowly out of the ICU, closely watched by the hard eyes of the nurse from before. Gwyn spares one last look before forcing herself forwards; if getting here was hard, walking away is a thousand times worse.

Three weeks pass with no change and, crucially, no improvement. Gwyn spends more time with Carlos than she ever has before, and she hates that it’s her son being comatose that has brought the two of them closer. A tentative peace exists between her and Owen and she knows—truly, she knows—that the attack wasn’t his fault, that there was nothing that could have stopped it.

But she can’t help but be angry that, once again, her son was seriously hurt and she wasn’t around.

She takes Isaac to see TK once, when the worst of the bruises have faded a little. She worries that he’ll be scared, and he does seem to hesitate when they reach the room; in truth, Gwyn hadn’t wanted to bring him at all, but he’d kept asking about TK and she’d found herself helpless to do anything but acquiesce.

They still haven’t told him what’s going on. No-one knows how to. All Isaac knows is that TK is a little hurt and he needs rest, and even that knowledge seems to upset him.

Once he gets used to the sight, Isaac stretches his hands out to the bed. “TK,” he says simply, looking pleadingly up at Gwyn.

She hugs him close, trying to smile for him. “TK’s asleep, sweetie,” she explains. “He needs rest.”

“When wake up?”

“I don’t know, baby. I don’t know.”

Three weeks pass, and the doctors start talking about options and next steps. It’s obvious what that’s code for—they want to pull the plug. They’re told to take all the time they need to discuss it but, ultimately, the decision will be Carlos’s, as TK’s husband and next of kin.

Gwyn knows what choice he’s going to make; it’s the same one she, or anyone else in his position, would make.

That doesn’t make it any easier to bear, for any of them.

Gwyn finds him in the hallway, bent over with his head in his hands. She goes over and quietly sits in the chair next to him, placing a comforting hand on his back.

There’s a long silence before Carlos sniffs and turns to her, his face the picture of devastation. “I don’t know how I’m supposed to do this, Gwyn,” he whispers, voice cracking. “How am I supposed to just give up on him like that?”

She shakes her head. “You’re not giving up on him, Carlos. You’re letting him go.”

“I don’t know how to do that either.”

“None of us do.”

Silence again, but this time, it’s Gwyn that breaks it first. “Listen, Carlos, I know this is hard. God knows I wish none of us were even here. But we are, and we have to do what’s best for everyone, including TK.”

“I know that,” Carlos admits. “I just don’t want to lose him.” He closes his eyes and leans into Gwyn, allowing her to wrap him in a hug. “I wish we had more time.”

Gwyn’s heart breaks all over again, and she squeezes his shaking shoulders. “We’ve got time,” she says, though she knows that’s not what he meant. “As much as you need.”

The sob she’s answered with tells her there’s not enough time in the world for Carlos to say goodbye to TK.

The call comes in the middle of the night. Dread pools in Gwyn’s gut as she accepts it and lifts the phone to her ear, her hands trembling.

“Owen?”

“Gwyn. TK, he—he woke up. It was only for a few seconds, but he woke up, Gwyn. The doctors said it was a miracle; they think he might actually recover.”

Gwyn gasps, a sob crawling up her throat as the news sinks in. It’s everything she’s been praying for ever since that first call, and all she can think about now is getting to TK.

“I’ll be at the hospital in fifteen,” she says. She ends the calls and raises her hands to her face, wiping away the tears beginning to fall from her eyes.

Maybe this nightmare is finally coming to an end.

TK is off getting tests when Gwyn arrives, but she’s finally allowed back in the room an hour later, Carlos and Owen on her heels. The ventilator has been removed, replaced by a nasal cannula, and his eyes are open—barely to slits, but Gwyn doesn’t care. TK is awake and alive, and that’s all that matters.

As soon as she’s in the chair by the bed, she reaches out for him, her touch feather-light as she strokes his cheek. “My brave boy,” she whispers wetly. “My brave, brave boy.”

TK’s head rolls on the pillow so he’s facing her and he mumbles something that’s probably meant to be a greeting, but the words jumble together and come out as gibberish.

Gwyn thinks it’s the most beautiful sound she’s ever heard.

They’ve all been briefed about the risks of brain damage and all the potential lasting consequences which could impact the rest of TK’s life. But right now, as she holds TK’s hand with Carlos on his other side and Owen at her back, Gwyn chooses to take solace in the constant rise and fall of TK’s chest and the heart monitor beeping out a steady rhythm.

There’ll be enough time for worry later; for now, her son is alive, and Gwyn can’t think of anything else that's more important.

I know i’ve said this a dozen times...but Walker just keeps getting better and better and better! With every. single. episode. I loved everything about this episode so much and again! Jared live-tweeting it was the best!!! I watched this episode at 3 am lats night again help.

OK SO CRDIREZ BEAUTY EPISODE!!! YES! I loved loved loved loved the development of their friendship in this episode SO MUCH! 

First scene Cordirez and them badass rangers catching bad guys together YES!!! Walker trying to find out Micki’s middle name is so cute pls. 

I really enjoyed the case they worked here as well. It was both deep and emotional and that twist! YEPPPP SIGN ME UP.

THE BAR SCENE WITH WALKER AND MICKI. AGAIN THEIR FRIENDSHIP! The episode title fit so well here and I’m glad Micki and Walker have really reached a good understanding on a friend and partner level. THEY\RE THE CUTEST PLEASE I LOVE THEM.

-I love how this show is really taking the time to address the difficulties someone like Micki- A Female Latina would go through- the sexism, blatant disrespect and disregard. Micki’s character is also something that’s very well written and acted(Lindsey ily) and portrayed extremely well. One of my favorite things about Walker is how he really trusts Micki, views her as an equal, and wants to earn her trust, not demand it. It’s perfect(cordirez breakdown time). Micki is also slowly letting her fences down around him and it’s a huge and very delightful to see step. I love and adore their friendship and chemistry so much.

That last scene with Walker and his mom was so touching. Walker’s relationship with his parents is so sweet. His mom hugging him and comforting him when Walker said he missed emily so much *cries* I just wanna hold him please.

THAT STELLA AND BELLE INTERACTION. SO CUTE. Stella giving that jar of jame to try and make up and Belle being all cute and funny I love them. Anyways! As you can see the entire episode was so enjoyable and I loved it. The best part of this was definitely the Cordirez friendship development and i cannot wait to see where it goes from here!

Speculation/Thoughts for Episode 5:- So it’s for sure that Walker is going back undercover as Duke who’s a baseball...person? Idk he was wearing a baseball hat so :) Walker’s past is now very much mixed in with his present and I AM SCARED. What he’s doing is yet to be revealed but Tywla is coming back and that will just. mess. things. up. The scene in which Walker is yelling at August GOD SO NOT READY FOR THAT. It feels like him and his kids might go back to how they were before. I really don’t want that to happen. Also why am I expecting a major cliffhanger.

the long answer:

i agree that it will be right at the end. hopper are THE slowburn/endgame couple of the show, so don’t expect them to rush into anything. besides that joyce and hopper were in a VERY tentative place at the end of s3 before the closing the gate/hopper in russia fiasco. joyce had only just agreed to a date and honestly i’m still not sure she’s ready at that point in time. it was less than a year since the bob thing and also enzo’s was a weird concept anyway so yeah i’m not sure it would have gone wholly smoothly anyway, even if hopper didn’t ‘die’. neither of them were in the best place mentally and there’s a lot of complicated feelings there, so i don’t see them falling into each other’s arms when they reunite. so no reunion kiss, sorry folks.

however, i think they will reunite about midway through the season. we know joyce..... goes to russia (*eyeroll* because this plot is just that ridiculous, apparently) to rescue him, and although i’m hoping for some bait and switch plot stuff (which is what im doing with my s4 fic) i don’t trust the duffers as far as i can throw them at this point, which means joyce and hopper may well reunite in russia with joyce rescuing him.

i can see them pulling some sort of memory loss/brainwashing situation. honestly im not a fan of that scenario because although i would love the angst the duffers would probably rush straight to the romance when he’s been ‘fixed’, and i think they need to start to understand each other again before that happens. so my ideal scenario: hopper, home from russia, is his old self (traumatised and slightly different, obviously, but he still has his memories etc). things between him and joyce are actually slightly awkward, but they dont have time to address it because of whatever monster they’re facing this week. somehow they do manage to talk about it, or there’s some dramatic event that forces them to confront it idk, then they kiss in the last episode.

i am 99% sure they will kiss in s4 tho. like whatever else happens with them it’s logically where the plot is leading, after we were all expecting a kiss in s3 and didn’t get one. the actual circumstances of the kiss.. we don’t know. im anticipating a sort of mid-action kiss aha spurred on by like adrenaline and stuff - it would also make a change from all the other first kisses we’ve had in the show, which makes it more likely. honestly im so up for this as long as we get the development for it beforehand, as i said.

anyway this is a very long winded way of saying HELL YES!! WE’RE GETTING A JOPPER KISS!!

If it’s not much to ask, can you talk about the zoom meeting with Melissa!

okok so you and a couple of other anons have asked for this!! (ps @helloninenine here it is)

ok so basically i signed up for that free zoom happy hour that melissa tweeted about yesterday, i didn’t really know what to expect but i don’t have anything else rly to do so i thought why not! it was cute, it was hosted by this wine mansion (which idk what that means) but it had little drinking games and celebrations.  The reason melissa was on it was because one of the hosts went to college with mel and she invited her on!! (it was so sweet they were gushing about crashing in each others’ dorms and mel’s mom cooking food for them, it was adorable!!!)

anyways, melissa came on the zoom for about 15 minutes for a quick interview, and her friend from college asked a couple of questions and then she used a couple of questions from fans.  i forgot a lot of it already but here are some highlights i can remember lol:

- mel said that she’s nursing so she can’t drink too too much but she does have at least one glass of wine per day (and good for her she deserves to unwind)

- they discussed amy’s drunkenness scale and whether we would ever get to see seven drink amy, mel just said that the writers love the scale and that she hopes to see more of it

- they talked about what it means to her to be an advocate and role model for latinas everywhere and mel was trying not to cry, it was beautiful.  to that she basically said that she didn’t realize how much she was always looking for characters on tv that she could interpret as latin and she couldn’t be happier to get to be that person for others

in terms of fan questions, MOST (key word most for those of you who saw my other post) were really cute and respectful and about her life!)

-one person asked what she has been watching in quarantine, she said she struggles to fit it in with the two babies but that she and david watch like an hour and a half before they pass out to watch stuff, but then she was surprised at how much she was actually able to watch since it started lolol - so anyways she has watched all of schitts creek (which she loves), she watched the new season of outlander, she has been watching the baker and the beauty, and something else that i can’t fully remember rn?? if i remember ill edit this later

-another fan asked whether she plans to travel after quarantine (and that they send love from scotland, hey @captainsantiagos!!!), she said she would love to visit scotland and just to travel more!!! she also said (and i cried) that so far Axel seems like a calm baby and that Enzo is a really good traveller so she hopes she will actually be able to travel, and that she would love to see scotland because she’s never been

-okay now in terms of the andy question it went down so strangely and I was so secondhand embarrassed and entertained - so basically her friend was like “okay so i have one last fan question for you before we have to wrap up, and feel free not to answer it because i know youve been happily married to a lovely man for 13 years now” and at this point melissa was raising her eyebrows and my brain was like “oh no oh no oh no...” then she said it, “is andy samberg a good kisser?” and melissa just laughed and was very polite despite being very uncomfortable because how could you not be and said “well, hes not a bad kisser 😉 haha”... i was just CRINGING and also just TAKING IN the information i had just received lmao... i couldn’t believe that 1) someone submitted it and 2) that the interviewer (and her friend) literally picked it and 3) that i saw it lol

-then what made it so weird was that was LITERALLY how the interview ended... like right after that she was like, well we thank you so much for coming, i miss you tons!... and now onto the next part of our night where we make our weekly quarantini!! and i was still like embarrassed and overwhelmed and like ma’am how but we were already moving lol

anyways it was a sweet experience it was cool to hear her talk w only like 300 others and she was beautiful and perfect and i love her!!! that is all i can remember, hope this was somewhat interesting to read about lol

1.) How many muses, do you think, have you had in total while on tumblr?

Oh dear god :’D I’m only counting main characters or else we’d be here all night. I had one for American Idiot waaaaay back in high school, like 10 for Kuroshitsuji, one for Kagepro, two for Fire Emblem Three Houses,  one for Makai Ouji, four OCs that didn’t work, and then my seven really main babies, not including side characters like Sabrael or Liran.

So like 26??? And i honestly might be forgetting some. Like i said, if I was to count every single character I have made while expanding upon my universe, it would probably be in the 100s or so. Maybe.

2.) Are there any tropes that pull you in or that you realise are reoccuring in your muses?

One that I notice in a lot of my muses is absent mother/asshole father.  Which uh...my personal bias coming through. For a while when I was working on my humans, I had a shitload of gingers. Terry, Enzo, Alma, Julian, and Nellie were all gingers. A lot of my characters are also twinks? And nearly all my characters are LGBT, which again, personal bias :’D

As for tropes, one that i absolutely adore is like childhood friends to lovers. Like nothing is cuter to me than a character having someone who has been at their side through thick and thin and it’s just a sweet, healthy, well-informed relationship. It’s so pure.

3.) Do you often get ideas when watching new media? do you end up wanting a canon character, an oc in that world, or just things involving current muses in the world / with those characters?

Ehhhhh. Not so much anymore. I mean, it happens occasionally when I find like a canon character I simply adore. Like it most recently happened with Claude from fe3h. I loved him so much that i just wanted to rp him. I’ve also gotten similar impulses with like Niles from FE: Fates and like some Makai Ouji characters. But then I remember that idk fandom RPing can be fun when it’s a small fandom, not a big one like FE where you kinda get ignored.

The media i enjoyed did help spark my OCs though! The whole reason this universe existed was because of Kuroshitsuji. I wanted to make a kiddo and their contracted demon that was an original concept, but could still be feasible in universe, so I made Theo and Terry, who were contracted together and worked at an inn.

Then as I got into Makai Ouji, I started developing my demon world a lot more and was sort of vaguely influenced by the structure in the manga, but not entirely. It did give me a love of goetic demonology though and has allowed me to do a lot of research with my own characters.

But now, I don’t really get influenced too too much. Just because everything’s established, so if I make a new character, it’s just fitting them into my universe.

Since there’s a new influx of iZombie roleplayers I figured I’d make a little PSA post to cover my bases; in case you can’t help but be a bit judgemental as you skim my blog in spite of yourself.

Relationship discussions/thoughts and such below~

I’m Tim. As far as I know, this was the first iZombie roleplay blog on tumblr. I created it March 25, 2015. The show premiered March 17th.

I don’t say this to humblebrag, bc honestly, who tf cares?

I just say this to provide some context. I’ve been here since day one, writing Blaine.

I was here during the literal year long hiatus between the end of S2 and the start of S3.

During that time I wrote Blaine’s amnesia as being a legitimate and lasting affliction. In many ways, he became almost a divergent character who was Blaine in face and name only.

He developed relationships with some characters (whose writers may or may not still be around) such as Peyton and Liv that don’t exactly reflect that in canon. So if you see something you kinda sideye, that’s probably why. Context matters. There’s backstory to certain verses that explain how and why.

THAT SAID! Though I have no problem writing canon divergent Blaine (or verses that skew off from points in canon I don’t care for) I’m also cool with/enjoy writing Blaine at any point in the timeline. S1 Zombie Blaine at his most despicable. S2 human Blaine. Amnesiac Blaine. Blaine faking his amnesia. Blaine with aforementioned permanent amnesia. Mid S3-S4 Blaine. A Blaine who is working with Major and Fillmore-Graves.

ALL THE BLAINES~ *:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧

At the end of the day, I ship Blaine and chemistry. And just because he’s attracted to your character doesn’t mean he’ll actually catch feelings for them. In regards to canon Blaine, I refer to David’s comments and Rob Thomas’. His feelings for Peyton were real, and made him wish he had not done such despicable things in life.

Which is to say, yes, he had/may have regrets, but due to selfish reasons and not so much remorse.

Keep in mind, I’ll try to be respectful off all ships, and will refrain from publicly turning up my nose at any of yours. All I ask is that you do the same. I won’t force any ships on anyone, and I’m totally down for platonic and antagonistic relationships.

Here’s a guide tho, if it helps, to my thoughts on Blaine’s relationships as it would stand with a canon Blaine.

Thoughts on Blaine’s relationships:

-Peyton, while certainly recognizing the problematic elements. I was on board and then they pulled the rug out from under me. I have an explanation, from Blaine’s POV for why he lied, but in no way do I excuse it nor is it a justification. I won’t force this ship on anyone, I’m fine with it being platonic or antagonistic. If you want to write it, but only at certain points in time or canon divergent ones where he didn’t lie or whatever... that’s cool. Just let me know, because while I enjoy it, I know some people may be squicked out by it.

-Rita. No, they never met. No, she shouldn’t have died. Yes, I’m bitter. They didn’t meet in canon, but I can see canon Blaine being with her. As an annoyance/partner/eventual friend and possibly more. So I’m mentioning her. Mainly to promote @fairisfair, who writes her and is pretty much my exclusive Rita not that I really expect any others to pop up.

-Liv. Look. I know. In canon this is a special hell ship that would probably never ever ever happen.... but..... he enjoys her. As meddlesome as she’s been, I don’t think Blaine hates her. I think during his amnesia stint, he enjoyed and appreciated her friendship. In another world where he never killed anyone, and she didn’t see him with Boss’ goons? Who knows? Or again, developed after the amnesia and carefully done. IDK. That said I’m totally down for petty and antagonistic frienemy bickering.

-Ravi. Ravi irritates Blaine mainly due to the whole Peyton thing, but Blaine does respect and understand Peyton’s choice even if it bums him out. Ravi can be a bit nerdy and annoy Blaine, but I think Blaine has a tiiiny bit of respect for him whether or not he’d admit it. Ravi’s a good person and loyal to his friends and he respects that. Plus, his big brain. It’s also fun to rile him up.

-Major: Blaine and Major’s dynamic is so...??? Unusual? To go from trying to kill each other to unwilling alliance to Blaine being the reason Major found Natalie and Major understanding and not resenting Blaine for not wanting to remember and then now their partnership... like...we never got Major getting in Blaine’s face after it came out Blaine lied. Blaine was willing to let Major die, after Major basically was willing to be bygones and tease him about being a lounge singer. I like Maine. Not romantic Maine, but I find their relationship fascinating.

-Don E. Look, I can’t help but think maybe Don E. felt a little spurned by Blaine in addition to taken for granted... and that one sided feelings may have played a part in that. I mean he stood in the rain watching Blaine and noting Peyton, while Blaine sang about loving someone even though it hurts because they don’t love you back. But look. Blaine doesn’t treat Don E. like a lackey anymore. When those two goons in 1x04 tried to make their own brain business? Blaine killed them. When Don E. did it? ...not only do I think Blaine was impressed, but Don E. was all he had left. He was willing to forgive him stealing his clients and unfreezing Angus, and made him a partner, and appreciates him. Don E. is his only real and best friend. For all the wronging each other that went on towards the end of S2 and beginning of S3, when Angus died and Don E was there and comforting him yet saying what needed to be said? Feelings. Kissing him on the head, calling him dweeb, taking his face in his hands.

Risking his own life to save his, which had only been done before in the case of Peyton...

Blaine cares about Don E., and you can fight me on that.

Chase: Ok, this is where the bitterness starts. I would have loved a S4 of Blaine and Chase antagonistic over the fact that Blaine killed his brother but Chase can’t kill him because of the brain shortage. We saw Chase blackmail Blaine, but we never got to see Blaine call his bluff and remind him that he had him by the short n curlies as well. Be smug and lord the fact that Chase needs him now after turning down his earlier proposal, saying he had enough brains. I wanted to see them actually working well together, and coming to respect each other somehow despite hating what each stands for... culminating in a showdown.

We didn’t get that. Chase was just fine to let Blaine be after he found Mama Leone, and Harrison Graves is never mentioned, and they never have a scene again.

Angus: Ok Fuck Angus. Before we knew what a garbage human being the actor who played him is, I was mildly excited but the choice to make him a religious cult leader and the execution coupled with the fact he didn’t end up the big bad and it was just all a bunch of filler that made me have to look at that fuckface’s face?? ... not worth it imo. He should have been left to rot in the well, and in a world where he was played by someone else it would have been nice to see him take control by using Enzo to reach out to those in Fillmore Graves who were loyal to Carey Gold’s cause and staging a SHIELD/HYDRA esque coup. But that is another thread that they didn’t continue.

So alas.but in verses/threads that have to acknowledge him, the alternate faceclaim will be Robert Carlyle.

I’d include Blaine’s relationship with Clive but they’ve only had like four scenes together which go from Clive questioning Blaine/wanting to put Blaine away/questioning Blaine again/willing to let Blaine and Don E help on an investigation/questioning Blaine again....

Lupin Pt. 5 Ep24// Point-By-Point & Final Thoughts

I... I don’t know what to say about this any more. This has been the weirdest back to status quo that I have ever seen. Like I want to say that this was a lot better than I though this episode was going to be; it was fine.

The series as a while is a mess. The arc set up it did was poorly done given how quickly it had to introduce the plot and get it resolved in a satisfying way. The introduction and last arc are the best, especially the last arc overall. The arc where we meet Albert is bad just because it sets up this idea of someone that Lupin hats so much, but we never get an answer as too why and the antagonism that they had ongoing just vanishes into thin air by the end. And no one really gave a damn about the civil war arc. 

The new characters where also pointless. Say what you will about the new characters in Italian Adventure. At least they where seen throughout the series, had personalities, flaws and did things through out that season. Albert is so barely there in his arc, Dolma (i don’t remember the spelling) isn’t that interesting and outside of her arc never mentioned or seen again aside from that quick credit cameo Enzo was interesting until he sort of just stayed in place and then was nicer at the end, and Yata who is just no one until this last arc where he’s still kind of a nobody but he gets a moment to give the audience an insight on Zenigata.

The series wanted to be darker, but only got darker in terms of violence being more explicit at times. Violence in the Lupin series is not uncommon and sometimes there’s an episode-movie-special with a more extreme death than normal, so not much to say about that other than the episode where Jigen killed all the police transporting Lupin and Goemon which felt off to me. I can’t remember if they’ve killed cops before that weren’t corrupt or not actually cops and I can’t help but think about how Jigen just killed a bunch of innocent people.

The biggest flaw of this series though was how it tried to explore Lupin and the relationship that he has with Goemon, Jigen and Fujiko. (Not Zenigata though). Why it fails though is cause this show really wants you to have previously seen the other Lupin series and whatnot. This season does a piss poor to no effort of making the Lupin and Co. feel like a family. There’s just some weird constant disconnect out side of the filler episodes. 

The filler episodes are really the best part of the season, but if it meant getting more time to explore the plots of the arcs and letting get resolved better I would have preferred them not to be there.

So idk. I love Italian Adventure, but this season was really rough. I doubt this will be the end though. They still have some things vaguely set up and I think Blue Jacket might get a little more of a push. Also we still have the special to come out.

But for now the season is done. It had some nice moments but could have and should have been better. I’m done bitching about this.

gather round children, it’s time for my finale recap so sit down, get a bottle of whatever-the-Fuck-u-guys-want and let’s get this show on the road.

First up we are opened to human Matt, getting these slideshows in his head about a bell and just overall death which he tells to his buddy Alaric. Dorian then butts in, telling him that they aren’t dreams but memories ;)))

Next up, we got Stefan staggering around because of his new human body. Driving with bloody knuckles, getting arrested, his memories of shedding blood relays in his head blah blah bby Caroline saves him but is like :((( bc bonnie won’t talk to her

Caroline (in order to help) called Bonnie’s mom (Abby) into the scene. Before opening the door for her mother, as she was boiling water - she heard Enzo’s voice but was then interrupted with knocking on the door. Abby then helps her baby girl to grieve which Bonnie says otherwise. Our lil witch explains to her momma that she’s used to grieving, she’s done it before and that this time it was different.

Damon on the other hand made another deal with Cade, our lil devil wants the Maxwell diary in exchange of Stefan’s life because before the deal they made - Cade initiated that Stefan’s life is in his hands bc LMAO Stefan has been bad lately so he’s a perf candidate for my hometown - hell.

But Cade proposed that in exchange for Stefan’s life - he wanted the diary that Matt now had taken interest in.

Around this time of the episode, Caroline gor Stefan out of a murder (of 32 victims) and they sought out momma realtor bc her daughter filed a missing’s person report.

So they go to the woods and find her, she stabs Stefan and Caroline saves her - tries to save Stefan - fails - remembers he has the cure - and just waits there until the ambulance comes. (Also I forgot to mention that Stefan’s attitude towards Caroline sores high by assuming that all Caroline cares about is her wedding so we got that going for Steroline but dw he apologises but the ending of their talk is a little rough so we’ll get to that later)

Damon shows up at the armoury asking for the book, Alaric like a dad - refused but later on vervains Damon and keeps him locked up. Meanwhile, Matt is hooked up to plugs from what seems to be a seismometer (IDK I failed science) and he’s being put under hypnosis by Alaric.

So let’s go back to our amazing bbys - the bennetts. Abby laid Enzo out on a table and sprinkled him with flowers and bonnie stands and watches, she then implies that she heard Enzo’s voice and that he was calling onto her. So they stand at either end of the table he was currently laid out on like a turkey and hold hands above him. Abby asks if Enzo is near, let them know. A gust of wind comes out of nowhere and Abby is met with an image of Bonnie crying over Enzo’s death.

She freaks and blows out the candles, telling Bonnie that she is not willing to do what bonnie asks. She tells her that Bonnie opened something as she was crying over Enzo, gates to somewhere that’s filled with suffering and pain. Bonnie had an idea and was like, “hell?” but Abby was like idk bitch but that’s some hefty stuff.

Then something happens wildly????

Abby leaves the room, bonnie hears Enzo’s voice then collapses.

Let’s take a break from them and move to Matt. So he goes through his memories and he sees himself but as someone else - Ethan with a bennett witch named Bea. Ethan was building a bell for driving away murderers. Sybil and Seline intervene and mind controlling him (also corrupting the bell) by telling him to strike the bell 12 times to open the fiery gates of hell and to release Cade.

Bea tries to stop it along with her witchy friends so they sacrifice themselves for their town.

IRL matt has a heart attack and damon offers his blood. This action causes Dorian and Alaric to be distracted bc Matt is back to himself telling them more of his memories. He says that Bea trapped Seline and Sybil so they ordered Ethan to kill Bea. Bea locks Ethan in the vault where Dorian found is body (irl). He tells her that he knows how to kill Cade but “I CANNOT TELL”.

Matt wakes up saying that the way to kill him is in the book only to find out that Damon took it.

Damon takes it to Cade and Stefan’s life is off the table unless Stefan becomes reckless. Cade burns the book and walks away leaving the brothers free. Damon then asks if they can make their way out of hell, Cade then says that he shouldn’t get his hopes up.

Back to my witches/vampires: Abby finds her unconscious baby on the floor, to wake her up she burns Enzo’s body to Bonnie disapproval. She pulls Bonnie out of that place, Bonnie says that Enzo was reaching out to her but Abby shakes her out of it.

She says that he is not but someone else was. She tells her that Enzo wouldn’t want bonnie near a place of suffering and that he loved her too much for that. She then says that she was never a good mum then and she’ll be damned if she let anything bad happened to bonnie - or something maternal like that. They then have a hug fest.

Caroline and Stefan partake on this eye opening conversation in her car. Optimistically, Caroline says that they can work through this but Stefan says otherwise. He’s unsure of today, or tomorrow or the days to come. This brings like worry to Steroline.

Bonnie comes home to find Matt at his doorstep and he mentions how the Maxwells and the Bennetts go way back. He tells her how strong and bad ass her family line was. He kisses her forehead and genuinely apologises for what she had to go through.

Stefan comes home to a mid bourbon party from Damon, but declines a he would change clothes and run back out to apologise to bonnie.

sTEFAN THEN ASKS INNOCENTLY TO HIS BIG BROTHER IF THEY CAN STILL HAVE REDEMPTION AFTER IT ALL AND DAMON SMILES SAYING OFC BUDDY IM CRYING

Stefan walks up to bonnie’s house only to be tazed by Kermit the frog in a hoodie.

Back at the armoury, Alaric and Damon bicker about Damon’s recklessness just to save his brother but Damon tells him that he already knows how the book ends for Sybil told him before. They go into the vault and find an item that could supposedly kill Cade.

then comes in

telling them he has a way to kill Cade.

How he got back idk but on the promo for the next episode, he proposes his deal but Alaric refuses to listen (I mean, Kai killed his sister Jo who was Alaric’s wife and mother to his children) but then proposes the idea of bringing Elena back which (surprise, surprise) Damon agrees for his help.

So Stefan got kidnapped. Bonnie opened the gates to hell. Kai is back.

Also in a synopsis for the next episode, Cade takes an interest for Bonnie and rummages thru her mind so watch out for that.

Lmao I’d love it if Julie pulls out some fucking excuse as to how Kai is back but it’s finna be golden and stupid don’t @ me on this like I love Kai but this is ridiculous

Dear TVD

Warning: the following blog might be very unfocused and somewhat confusing, but that's only because I have a lot to say.

It doesn't take much to create a bad show. However, it's pretty difficult to make it good. Creating a good show from the start takes effort, talent, and luck. But you know what is super easy?

Creating a good show, and then ruining it completely.

At first, Elena is the type of girl that could make a gay guy go straight again. Just incredible. And Stefan is the type of person that would make that same man gay again. Damon, however, is the ultimate villain. Killing and tormenting people for no good reason at all.

Then, for no good reason at all, Elena starts to have feelings for Damon. Why?! He literally killed her father (or attempted to), slept with her birth mother, killed her brother, raped Caroline and abused her, tried to kill Bonnie and was responsible for the death of her grandmother, all for Katherine.

For 150 years, he was in love with her, and then all of the sudden he forgets all about her and moves on to Elena? Are you freaking kidding me?! How is that even logical?

Damon is constantly blaming Katherine of the person her became, and each time he does that, I don't know if I should roll my eyes or laugh out loud. She didn't teach him how to kill, and he was just a bad person ever since he decided to ruin Stefan's life after his transition. Plus, take Klaus for example, he was abused as a child, but not once did he blame Mikael of the person he became (only Ester, but rightfully so). Damon had no excuse of his actions, and that pisses me off.

One of my favorite characters in the show were Lexi, and of what we know, she was Stefan's best friend for over a century. And then, Damon killed her. Two episodes later, it was all forgotten. WTF?! But, when Stefan "killed" Enzo (it was a freaking self murder for crying out loud!) Damon never forgot about that, but completely ignored the fact that he left him for dead before.

Plus, Lexi is 360 years old. Remember when she went to help Damon in New York in the 80? She is a lot smarter than they made her in that scene in which she falls for Damon's crap. She would've known better.

I feel like the writers don't even know the character's personality half of the time, and just constantly change it. It's really confusing an frustrating. One minute, everyone is being mature and reasonable, and the next, they go back to kindergarten.

Normally, characters develop for the better, such as: Caroline, Jeremy, Klaus, Tyler and... well, I think that's it.

The characters that were regressed: ELENA, DAMON, BONNIE, MATT, STEFAN (sometimes) and the list goes on and on and on.....

From being the ultimate dream girl, Elena became a freaking doormat. Always obeying to Damon and being his little bitch. That's not love, my friends. That is freaking twisted.

Damon went from being a fifteen year old to being a ten year old. Makes a lot of sense, right? Plus, he is supposed to be the older brother, but not for once in the whole show did it look like that. Could've fooled me with Stefan being the eldest. Plus, in his human life, he was actually kinda nice, what the hell happened to that?! Oh yeah, Katherine. Not.

Stefan was often treated very poorly for making one bad choice. Damon has slept with so many people for so long and killed more than all of the originals combined, but when Stefan slept with Rebekah in season 4 and Katherine in season 5 people treated him like he is Satan.

Damon is the type of man you fall for in the middle of high school, change your whole personality for just to have his attention, and then he leaves you broken. That is a terrible massage to the next generation.

Stefan, however, is the perfect gentleman. Kind, smart, loving, respectful, honoring, and since he's a vampire and this is a television show -  a tormented soul that needs to be fixed. Just like Elena.

And they were beautifully broken together. Their ripped edges fit together, like they were meant to. It was more than perfect. It was EPIC.

But, sadly, other people didn't think like that. They thought that the man who is the bad guy should be the one to get the girl, because she can fix him. Have you watch the film Gone Girl? There was a sentence there that really stuck to me. "He took and took from me until I no longer existed." That is the definition of Delena. He has taken everything from her, her freedom of choice, her emotions, her family, her personality.

"That's murder."

I have also noticed how most of the fans ship Delena only because of Ian and Nina. I have asked one of my friends if she would've still shipped Delena if Paul was the one to play Damon, and she shook her head and said; "Hell no!"

I don't know if it's just me, but I've noticed that after someone dies and becomes a vampire, they become a whole different person. I hate that. You might as well have just taken the character and left it dead. I felt the fact that their emotions are heightened and whatever, but that doesn't change them.

And I don't know if it's just me, but the sire bond between Damon and Elena is based on feelings, and they didn't say what type of feelings. For all we know, they could've been hatred. Which makes a lot more sense.

I have also noticed something that happened in TVD a lot more than it should have. Once it appears as if the character has no where else to develop, it's been killed off. Jenna, Tyler, Kol, Vicky, and the list goes on. Again.

That is how they solved so many issues in the show - love triangles, characters made for one episode alone, stuff like that. And that is so immature and stupid to make a character only to kill it off.

I just have to say this: what Nina did was kind of a bitch move. Leaving the show while you're the lead actress is kinda like a company's CEO decides to quit all of the sudden. I completely understand her decision, but I think it's really something only Hollywood stars can afford to do, and that I like you spit in the fandom's face.

The show is called the vampire diaries - the diary of the vampire - the vampire is Stefan. The show is about him, not his serial killer psychopath of a brother!

By the way, the fact that Nina left doesn't mean that Elena had to go. With all of the traveler stuff, they could've just made Elena go into different body. That would've solved a lot.

A very big part of Delena's relationship is the sex. The reason their relationship even started is sexual attraction. That is a terrible message to send the future generation - have I mentioned that? I think I did. - and if Elena would've been transformed into a different body, that would have been a huge obstacle in Damon and Elena's relationship, and an opening for Stelena.

The doppelganger storyline wasn't as main as I thought it would be. In fact, I'd hoped that during her coma, Elena would have visions of the past couples and that we might get to see a few, and that they would make her understand how special what she had with Stefan truly was.

The more I write here, the more I understand I don't even like Elena anymore. I just want Stefan to be happy and the happiest I have ever seen him was with Elena.

And I just realllllyy wanna see Damon get what he deserves.

To be honest, I didn't watch the 7th and 8th seasons of the show. I promised myself that I would only if I felt like the ending was worth it. Frankly, it wasn't, so I have no intention to sit in front of my laptop and catch up, because there is no reason to. The ending sucked. Stefan was supposed to live happily ever after. If not with Elena, then by himself (Sorry Steroliners, but KLAROLINE IS LIFE) he deserved to live. I had hope that Damon would finally take the responsibility of being the older brother and finally do something for once in his whole wasted life, and help his little brother be happy, but of course not, Stefan must "Sacrifice his own happiness for the sake of other's right?" as he said in the finale of season 4. Too right.

Stelena was love, and respect, cherishing and loving the other person, especially their flaws. It was about concurring all and saving the people you care about, but remain loyal to yourself.

Delena is sex, sex, and some more toxic sex. It's putting yourself first and not caring about the amount of people that you hurt. THAT IS NOT WHAT THE SHOW SHOULD ENCURAGE!

People say that the type of people you like onscreen, especially serial killers, says a lot about your personality. Delena fans, who support this abusive relationship? They are like the watchers in Nerve, pressing on the YES button to kill the soul of an innocent girl. That is what they did to Elena. 

I asked my nephew today about his favorite super heroes, and he said "Spiderman, superman," ect. When I asked him of the joker, he said "NO! I don't like him, he's scary!"

And when I ask my friend - the delena fan mentioned before - she says "The joker is awesome, I love the bad guys."

I don't want him to grow up in a world in which in youth he is taught to help others in shows like Dora and Spiderman, and then become a teenager in a world that likes films with criminals and serial killers. Damon represents just that.

And let's be honest, every single one of the problems in the show would've been solved if Damon died in the first season.

To sum up, the show shouldn't have gone on without the main character. And I don't know if it's because I'm just hopelessly in love with the originals' accent, but I intend to watch the originals (I haven't watched the 3rd season of it as well, because I assumed that they would be linked and that I would get confused.) but I have hope that they writers will redeem themselves in the 4th season and maybe give us all the better ending we deserve.

1. Lol I think from the beginning I was a huge fan of Carenzo BroTP and then somehow I shipped Enzo with either Klaus or Kol. If it’s s5 Enzo then I’d pick Kol cuz lbr, Enzo was a handsome, mischievous smirky face back then. If it’s the current hot damn romantic Enzo then I’d pick Klaus because I feel like Klaus doesn’t really listen to what women have to say… he makes plans (sometimes good ones but he’s an idiot when he does them) and doesn’t tell anyone so it backfires on him. He does listen to men so he’d probs listen to Enzo and Enzo would just be that voice of reason and love to Klaus. I also imagine Caroline off to the side just rooting for them and being the biggest advocate of their relationship. (Ah, ok this explains it lol. This is amazing and I support you in your endeavours to make Klenzo happen)

2. On a completely different note: They released another teaser for the finale. CAN YOU HEAR THE SOUNDS OF THE STELENA SHIPPERS RISING FROM THEIR TEAR SOAKED GRAVES?! Wait. It’s just hit me. The end is coming in 18 days (or 17 for you rn) Holy shit, I never thought I would stay with this show but here I am. (Did they?!! How have I not even seen this? I am a terrible fan blog. Lol listen, I was a casual viewer living my best life. GD BE.)

Spec 1: Lol Stefan is either dying or already dead (dead and in Bonnie’s dimension. Which I call: Bonnie’s purgatory) idk about you but to me Stefan definitely looks like he is in highkey emotional pain. So if he’s actually dead/dying then he’s saying goodbye to his first love of his life. (I don’t mean to casually forget Valerie, Rebekah, and Katherine but lbr, Elena was the first person who stayed with him and wasn’t lying to him in any way. They were an actual ok couple. But now Caroline is the love of his life and it looks like that relationship is dying. Yikes,) No matter which way we look at it, Stefan is done with his immortal life. The Salvabros attract trouble like nobody’s business so even if he’s actually alive, there’s no guarantee that he’ll be alive when Elena potentially wakes up in 60+ years. So he might as well break the news now and have that Stelena closure. (I actually agree with all of this. This is the most plausible spec imo)

Spec 2: lol Damon’s dead and Stefan volunteers to be the one to break the news to her. Damon probs sacrifices himself for Stefan because the writers love to give him redemption stuff. Stefan blames himself so he’ll be the one who has to deal with Elena’s potential mental breakdown. Stefan wasn’t there the first time they thought Damon was dead. He might as well be there when Damon’s actually dead. (Ooo this is a good one. We don’t get the ‘Stefan redemption’ potential we did with spec 1 but it’s definitley an option.)

Spec 2.1: SO. If Damon’s deaded AND Kai has a way to get Elena out of that magical coma AND Elena is a human AND Stefan is a human as well AND apparently KC reunion of some kind is happening… Do you see where I’m going with this? I don’t want to be dramatic or anything but…SE might actually happen. They’ve already had romantic buildup since s1 so the haters can’t say “NOPE, it can’t happen because they don’t love each other where have you seen them love each other” (looking at you BE haters, buildup my ass. They have more buildup than most tv couples) Stefan and Elena will stay together because that’s what they’ve known from the start of all this crazy. SE might break up because how could they possibly work? Caroline might as well let Stefan go so that way he can live a full and happy human life with Elena. Then a few years later (or however much time the TO time jump is) Caroline meets up with Klaus because if SE can be happy, why can’t she? While those ships are living and dying, Bonnie and Enzo will be off to side happy and living in Paris with Bonnie pregnant with a baby boy they will eventually name Felix. ( 👏👏👏 insert popcorn gif. This is some kind of spec. Not sure the writers would be this inventive but I was with you for the whole ride.)

Just a lil extra note for the more involved TVD fans: They keep showing that shot of Elena looking at the trophy case. It could be just the writers establishing that Stelena are having their reunion in the school but we know that school. They could’ve shown us Elena walking through the halls and we would know that they’re at the school. I don’t remember the trophy case being significant in the past so why is it significant now? (So a key point to note here that K pointed out to me yesterday is that when Stefan was saying goodbye to Elena in 6x22 they were talking about when they would see each other again and he joked it wouldn’t be at the school. This could be why she looks so shocked when she see’s him there? He could be in her head before she wakes which makes a strong case for him to the one linked to her over Bonnie. Ok I’ll stop ruining your beautiful post. Solid spec, T. A++ 😘)

[1/?] i'm gonna talk about steroline first bc you know i've always been here for the bamon, but you've got me really caring about steroline in this fic! caroline trying to set boundaries on intimacy was really heartbreaking--i think you mentioned in an ask before the chapter went up that she's actually more afraid of intimacy bc that's what kept her in a toxic relationship, and i could definitely see that. and then you turned it into something really sweet and funny with her and stefan

watching romance(?) stuff. it was all super cute and i’m loving these two even tho it’s not what i started reading for. stefan’s jealousy re: daroline was also interesting bc it made it clear (to me at least, idk how you intended it) that after being cheated on in his last relationship, he’s not ready for something open/casual. aside from it just not being his personality, i don’t feel like that’s something he needs to get over walking in on his ex with another guy. also think it’s interesting how you have stefan assuming the worst abt damon. obviously it’s a throwback to canon (and damon shoots him down which was nice) with its good bro/bad bro stuff, but it also makes me wonder if bonnie was taken advantage of in her bad period? bonnie obviously has a lot of negative associations with hookups–which was a REALLY nice touch, i loved the narration there–so it makes me wonder what stefan saw going on there when he was more removed from the situation.

ELANAAAAAA! You have no idea how happy I got when I saw your BAMF icon in my inbox, man. I didn’t even have to read the messages to know I’d be like giddy with joy and lo and behold, here I am, giddy with joy. Anyway, this reply is probably like three? Weeks? Late? At this point? But I’m finally diving in to some of these longer reviews and gah, I’m just like remembering how incredible they are all over again so thanks so frickin’ much for taking the time out to write this. Seriously. Means so damn much. ANYWAY, I condensed the SC parts into one half and I’ll do the same with the BD half, so onto the Steroline of it all:

I’M SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT I’VE GOT YOU VESTED! (Side-note: I feel like I’m going to have to limit my caps lock abuse in this reply because if I had my way the whole thing would be in caps…) Before I started this fic I didn’t actually think through how tricky it could be to have two main ships and four main characters in a fanfic where different fandoms are coming in for different reasons. LMAO like it just totally didn’t even occur to me that it’d be any different from writing any other fic, but it totally is, and it’s weird because you sort of put equal time and effort into realizing each character and each ship but naturally have people coming in predisposed to wanting one thing more than the other. So I feel like just as an author, you almost challenge yourself to write in a way that can pull people into the things they didn’t necessarily come for, and it’s legit the best feeling ever when you hear that you’ve managed it even a little, SOOOOOOO hearing that I’ve got you lowkey rooting for SC makes me super happy. JFC I haven’t even gotten past the first line of your message and this reply’s already two paragraphs long help me.

Re: Caroline, totally on point - she’s definitely the most rattled by intimacy, man. She just doesn’t trust herself to think clearly and put herself first when she’s emotionally vested because of how her relationship with Matt played out. I’m super glad that’s leaking into the fic because I’m not sure it’s something Caroline’s outright admitted yet (that her biggest issue with Stefan isn’t actually his tendency toward falling in love but rather hers, you know?). Like I’m hoping that’s coming across, but it’s just tough when you’re writing a stubborn, self-preserving character who repeatedly claims the opposite, lololol. So super stoked that’s the impression you’re getting!

Re: Stefan’s jealousy, I think that’s a great observation and definitely within my intention. Like as fun as it was to sneak in a little jealousy, I’d argue that scene ended up being more of a characterization one than a shippy one because it gave some insight into where Stefan’s at emotionally, independent of Caroline or really anyone. We’ve heard a lot about his emotional baggage from Bonnie but I think that was the first time we got it from him, and I think you’re definitely right that like what he actually probably needs is to believe in love again. Both him and Caroline. Not storybook Elena love, not angsty chaotic Matt love, but something more natural, less learned. LMAO so naturally I have them both seeking casual hookups instead.

Re: Stefan being protective of Bonnie because of her history, I think that definitely played a role, and I feel like we Vulcan mind-melded because I absolutely think Bonnie was taken advantage of to a degree. Like willingly, she probably thought at the time, but it was messy - the people around her should’ve known better, and if they actually gave a damn, they would’ve. I think your drabble covered it perfectly, like Damon was the kind of person who, while still a ‘bad kid’, knew better than to engage, whereas dudes like Enzo and Klaus engaged anyway. I don’t think she ever really talks about it (sigh, Bonnie) but I’m sure Stefan knows. Not details, but he’d see her around town with older, sketchy dudes - picking her up from school, hanging out in parking lots, etc. - and I headcanon that Lexi would probably see her at upperclassmen parties with seedy seniors. So yeah, not to excuse Stefan from snapping at Damon or anything because I definitely think most of his motive was still a knee-jerk reaction to his own cheating baggage, but this would’ve definitely factored in, too.
