Miracle boxes

Miracle boxes started forming since the creation of the miraculous. There have been several attempts at making boxes correspond to astrology and other themes but these ideas didn’t last for long. Duos used to be inside the boxes as a sort of leaders but were separated into their own boxes and put under watch by the Order of Guardians. There was always only one duo box per temple.

Lesbian is a multifaceted label that can describe many different experiences. There is no one perfect definition of lesbian that will encompass the entire diverse experiences that lesbians can have.

I'm personally a genderqueer woman who's exclusively attracted to other women, but the lesbian next to me might be a transmasc lesbian who loves all genders except for men. And the lesbian next to them might be a bigender lesbian who's both a girl and a boy, who's exclusively attracted to women. Our experiences can all be described by the term lesbian if that's how we wish to describe it, but we might define it differently based on our own experiences. And guess what?

None of our definitions are wrong, but none of our definitions will encompass every other lesbian's experiences. A word can have multiple definitions without any of the definitions being wrong. And those definitions can be very vague or very specific. Labels are made to fit us- we aren't made to fit labels.

People who may have a different experience with the lesbian label are not your enemies. People in lesbian spaces who aren't exactly like you are not your enemies. The problem comes when you try to force one singular definition on every single lesbian. THAT is harmful. Sending death threats to other lesbians because they don't have the same experience as you is harmful. Not another lesbian having a different experience from you.

Ooh I have opinions on the dropout thing. There being "not that many transfems" is consistently phrased as though there is an abundance of transmascs. There is not!! There is MAYBE one, IF Ally considers themself transmasc. If they DO, there is One transmasc and One transfem, one of these being a binary trans person. There are other trans people, people who consider themselves nonbinary, genderfluid, go by he/they or she/they, etc. None of these people are necessarily "transmasc", just that people love to look at trans people and say "you look like a Female, so you're transmasc". As a trans man who does of course love all of the trans people on dropout (and of course they are all equally important), I would like to point out that I feel far more represented by a Persephone (a fellow transitioning binary trans person) than a nonbinary person whose similarity to me that so many assume I should be so aligned with is "well uhh ur females". Now, CAN I feel solidarity with every kind of trans person? Yeah, course. But the framing that, for example, I, should feel suuuper represented by the trans people present, isn't really fair. Because there are NO trans men. There being a decent amount of nonbinary and genderfluid people is nice! But it is not any more "like me" than a transfem. Not that I could EVER get away with implying trans men deserve to be represented and included.

^^ Yeah like. Where is the abundance of trans men here. Where are they. And why is that not "proof" of any bias*?

Also! Not every nonbinary person represents All Nonbinary People! It means a lot to me to see Erika Ishii be a genderfluid person using she/they/he/any pronouns, because THAT nonbinary experience is rarely represented (in a group that already has very little rep).

Divvying everything up between TME/TMA, to me, feels like going "all trans people who share an AGAB are basically the same" which doesn't take into account the diversity inherent to every group of trans people. And idk maybe we could try to avoid treating real life trans people as Representation Points.

in my self indulgent aroace worldbuilding i like to imagine that labels for orientations and genders are just kind of... not that much of a thing on popstar, because it doesn't matter at all to anyone. nobody has ever cared about stuff like who or how you love, and 90% of them are picking their own pronouns anyway.

that said, it's still nice to have a little self representation here on our primitive earth internet, where this kind of thing very much does need to exist and we deserve to be proud of it!

Boxes!

So, in my au the boxes are all completely different.

The first layer kwamis are in their respective pairing and in separate boxes as seen above. Each pairing has a name for what they represent:

Caladrius+Bat- Conciousness duo

Unicorn+Stick Bug- Existence duo (thanks @hades-999 for the idea!)

The pairs were kept in one of the 4 (technically 5) temples. They were barely mixing and a pair was always released together. The Guardians believed if they didn't the universe will be unbalanced.

The other boxes usually had a second layer kwami who was in charge/above the others. I'm gonna call them alpha for now. They were mostly like this

For those of you angry about the term ‘non binary’ being used in a fantasy setting, you are fucking stupid. It’s the english language. It means not-binary. And yes, there ARE gender roles in thedas, plenty of them! You just aren’t paying close enough attention. Also, there is another term that Taash’s mom brings up, aqun-athlok, so there ya go there’s your transgenderism that’s built into the fantasy setting.
