there is something really compelling about them because in my perspective,,,i can highlight some arcs in their ship.... i wasn't there for AD21 and im not going to speak on it except for the "checo is a legend" thing (i think happened in 2021). but everything after is just sooo....

so like walking through it...there's a breakup-ish arc in 2022 right? you know the monaco 2022 rumours ( i guess i just remembered an actual race happened and discourse abt qualifying but idc im thinking about the other beef during monaco 2022 here), "i gave my reasons and i stand by it", max saying that one time he was going to try and help checo get 2nd and then he didnt...

BUT then they just kind of...flourish. 2023 is a blur to me but i think about their 1-2 in the driver's championship (first rb drivers world championship too). how sweet!

then there's now. i think it was this year they did their friend rankings and they put each other on their lists (i think this happened. or at least max had checo on his list). all the little soc med games (actually going back to 2023, didnt they do a little cute monaco game with ducks awww). also max defending checo during this period. AND ALSO ... i went to do this write up and had haul ass to find that fucking moment at jeddah this year where they looked like they were about to kiss.

rpf wise, there's so many routes you could go. i feel like a lot of checo ships really play up checo being the loser (which i can see and i like it) but you know! there's a world where i could see them being happy maybe! might just be me liking a little bit of happy joy in my ships

Obviously Daniel was aware of discussions. He knows how this business works, he knows he was being measured against Yuki and he would have known that the head to head was being assessed on a constant basis.

I don’t think that’s much of a gotcha moment.

I don’t think he was in much doubt that Singapore was his last race, but he definitely was not allowed to announce that. He had reps from TR and RB with him over the weekend, they did not want him saying anything. So whether he knew for sure or not is kind of irrelevant imo. Not being able to tell anyone and having everyone ask you incessantly is still as bad as not knowing for sure. And no one in the paddock “knew” for sure. So everyone was stuck in that weird limbo publicly, even if they knew/basically knew privately. It’s still a shitty way of going about things.

I agree that Daniel knows how to spin a story, and yeah maybe he did eat off the McLaren victim narrative a bit but the fact is, he didn’t choose to leave McLaren with no seat lined up for shits and giggles. They paid him off, that’s the only “mutual parting” there lbr. And yeah maybe he knew more than he let on in Singapore but they still left him to answer intrusive questions about his future with no answers to give the press. Those things happened. my computers fixed yippee

however, even if its been approximately almost 3 days, ive learned a lot on what i enjoy and what brought me a lot of stress so thats a good thing

during that time, i still had a lot of fear on posting but i was mainly just on one particular site, spotify, and youtube the entire time and i had the most fun ive ever had in a long time. i wasnt upset i wasnt overthinking and wondered about things that would get me sad. i just did whatever i wanted and i had fun like a lot of fun

as well as that: i also talked to people a bit and even sent a nice message to someone :]

however there was one bad thing and it was some weird guy and he sent me a message and i panicked horribly about that so that was fun

ive also learned a lot of people just hate and cause drama for no goddamn reason other than to just spread stupid bullshit

regardless as much as that happened i had fun and i written up something and just in general had fun for once without constantly wondering what people would think of me if i did this if i did that

its so tiring and fruitless at this point

so i might just post whatever the hell i want and just do what i want more than what other people want i guess it correlates to the time i had an idc attitude and rb and posted w/e i wanted at that given moment

or i might go days not being on this site at all to just have fun for myself whatever the case may be ... i learned things about myself and that is all that matters + might make a few positive posts over the frivolous bs i saw those days

even if kylo were planned to be redeemed from the start, when you have a trilogy instead of a series time is just not on your side. you can do a lot in a dozen or more episodes that you cannot do in a trilogy. im of the opinion that if they wanted kylo to be redeemed, the redemption should have started from TFA. he's no zuko lol and he never will be, but here's some changes I would make if given the chance (and if for whatever reason I decided to actually go this route rather than the Finn-kills-Kylo plot that's 10x more interesting)

under a cut bc its long as hell but its totally okay to rb and reply if you want!

First, Kylo's younger, close to Rey's age if not exactly her age. Makes it more understandable (a little) that he's making terrible decisions since he's a new adult who's got a lot of power in his hands.

kylo's insecure, idk how many temper tantrums he throws but we should see snoke in his ear more, feeding on his insecurities and pushing him to violence more. clearly he's still got that conflict of light vs dark in him, and the decision to kill his father eats him alive. that guilt is the light. snoke tells him he's weak with it. kylo takes out his frustrations on the people around him.

i barely remember the plot of TFA so I'm gonna say things ~more or less go the same~, but we're going to play on the fact that Kylo Ren and Finn are foils. Now, Kylo's symbol is his right hand--black-gloved and the holder of his lightsaber, a symbol of his turn to the darkside. Throughout the movie will make sure to make it clear that that hand is a sign of violence. Finn and Kylo fight, Finn kicks his ass (is still injured himself tho) but cuts off kylo's right hand. so now his hand and lightsaber are gone--the symbol of his power, obliterated. Finn says some "you can still be good, I know it" type stuff and hottails it out of there with rey and the rest.

Kylo ren, in a panic and seriously injured, climbs into his ship and tries to go back to snoke for Emergency Healing. Snoke's like "you failed me, you're weak, you're no longer my apprentice" and so kick out kylo. Kylo crash lands on some random inhabited planet, near death. first movie ends with finn being healed and ren being pulled out of his ship by the locals.

second movie starts, maybe finn's got mobility issues because he got sliced in the back. id love the idea of him fighting w a ligthsaber and leg braces on. but before I get distracted, kylo ren is unconscious on this backwater planet being tended by locals who have no idea who he is, except that he likes to wear a lot of black.

this is crucial--he needs time away from the heroes to actually start his redemption. idc what anyone says you cant be evil and then go start trying to be friends without learning how to be normal. kylo ren is not normal.

the locals do eventually figure out who he is and its a humbling moment for him, and the first time we see him treat people as people--but in the mean time, when he's not healing he's helping around the village. learning patience and self control and how not to take out his anger on the things around him, which is helped in a literal sense by the fact that he's got one arm anyways so and he's not a lefty, so there's not much he can do.

like i said, locals figure out who he is and are pissed. this is ren's first moment of reckoning. he apologizes but also thanks them for helping him despite how he was a piece of shit for a while (he's completely healed by now but still missing an arm). idk how much forgiveness there is but they make it clear in no uncertain terms that they're obviously not the ones he needs to be apologizing too.

so kylo leaves the planet (idk how i dont think of those things), changes his name, and joins the Resistance (under the fake name obv. lots of people dont actually know what his name is). maybe they've got an informant and so in a mixup, kylo finn rey and poe are all on the same ship. they see each other, finn + co start attacking kylo (naturally) and Finn (not one for killing. rey and poe might be of a different mind) has him on the ground and cornered, lightsaber at his throat, asking "what do you have to say for yourself" or something. and kylo says he's sorry. Finn's force sensitive so he can sense the honesty in it. kylo apologizes to all of them; personalized apologies and how he's changed and how he knows his ways were wrong. he wants to help. he's got a lot of info on the FO.

they still dont really trust him but they bring him back to the resistance. kylo tells as much relevant info as he can, and he gets a new arm, given to him by his new allies. he doesnt try to take control, doesnt take a command position the way finn poe and rey have, etc.

past this point idk how much more I have planned, but that's 80%+ of the redemption. Finn can take down the entire FO while kylo takes down snoke or something (since their pain/trauma stems from those sources anyways). im partial to kylo dying at the end of it all but i know folks dont like that. anyways this is my idea of what a decent redemption arc would look like for Kylo Ren.

I know very little about spn stuff, but I did watch a good portion of it. Why is it that people don't like Jared Padalecki?

i think there was possibly some racism and i feel like i heard somewhere something about transphobia, but it was so long ago that it’s either too buried for me to find at the moment or it was made up entirely, i’m genuinely not sure which

even if that ^^ stuff was just made up or whatever, which again is entirely possible because those are just things i’ve heard, no specifics, but even if it was made up jensen has talked about misha and jared fighting over politics. now misha is a little too mainstream liberal for my tastes (i could radicalize him misha pleeeease just an hour of your time) BUT he has a lot better takes than a lot of cis white dudes his age. so the fact that jared was arguing with him over politics kinda makes me go hmmmm

there was the bar fight that i think happened in austin where he assaulted a bartender i’m pretty sure. that’s when the mugshot was taken which if you haven’t seen it just google jared padalecki mugshot it’s funny he looks so dumb

there’s of course the infamous “hey kayla, that hurts me” facebook comment where he went off on a fan and called them “poison” for commenting on one of his facebook posts something along the lines of “the biggest fan of jared padadlecki is jared padalecki” i believe. it’s just like. dude. you’re rich and you make more money per season of spn than most of us will see in a lifetime. it’s not necessary to respond to your (possibly underage) fans on fucking facebook to call them poison. it reeks of self centeredness. he’s honestly a massive baby and seems to pitch a fit over lots of little stuff.

like. dude! you’re a celebrity! every single celebrity in the history of famous people get hate. i’m not saying (all of) it is deserved but it happens to all of them. and sure some people stir shit over it but i seriously don’t remember ever seeing another celeb say “you are poison” unironically to someone who commented on one of their posts. chances are, that person was a fan of the show making a joke.

jared knows his fans are insane. he knows he can sic them like a pack of rabid dogs on people that huwt his feewings. and he does it. it’s just… it rubs me the wrong way dude

all of these will be written as crappy headcanons until i get my shit together.

UPRISING.   ↳     if ymir had truly stayed in paradis,  i definitely feel like this would’ve been the start of her biggest developmental arc.   her death ended in the bittersweet story of a girl who was never able to find a balance in her vices & virtues,  letting herself succumb to a part of her she tried so hard to suppress.   with historia kidnapped, and the chance of going through even more with her cadet class,  i think she could’ve gotten something of a medium in widening the tunnel vision she had grown accustomed to.

as a now-revealed titan, she was definitely held under suspicion for a while.   she was thrust into squad levi to be trained alongside eren, but the guy did not trust her nearly as much as he did eren.   it took a while for her to be brought back into things and the only people who really stood by her side at first were eren & historia.

made it a point to coo tf outta her real name whenever she could.

her biggest clash with capt. levi was when he pushed historia to become queen.   while, sure, she respects* levi enough now, she still resents him & believes historia wouldn’t have said yes otherwise ( i.e. doesn’t want the role / she’s playing the path given to her )

* ymir shows her respect by being slightly nicer and all this really means is she’ll tease you and be crass instead of snarling & ignoring your mere existence.

scares & annoys all the children in historia’s orphanage 24/7.   if someone shouts  “ill tell YMIR!”, you can bet everyone gasps and falls silent, a quiet, “... you wouldn’t”  hitting them from the back.

RETURN TO SHIGANSHINA.  ↳     ymir would’ve obviously been required to join in the fight here, and was likely perched on eren’s titan the whole time & ready to be thrown wherever depending on where RB show up to spread their power.

biggest takeaway here is just to remember WHY she chose to go with reiner & berty in the first place :  she felt like she was indebted to them.   in this verse, that’s going to taunt at her constantly.  if it ever came down to it, and she had to face reiner 1v1, there’s a 99.9% chance she couldn’t do it.   when eren was fighting him, she would likely be given the opportunity to drop down and end / grab reiner once and for all when eren has him in a lock for their first fight, but her hesitation gives bertl enough time to get to him instead.

i’d imagine she’d get called out somewhere around here,  and get a moment where the cadets kind of remind her they’re well, her friends ?   like they make it a point to show she matters and she’s more than just “that girl who’s around historia all the time” & a bunch of really gay shit that would make her cry & feel worth something and probably have some sappy inner monologue of “i thought i knew what my new purpose in this life was, but i guess in the end, none of that really matters anyways”  because she really starts to see that the world isn’t as simple as she was used to from her youth, and shit expands / changes and you just gotta go with the flow and let yourself enjoy the now.

she didn’t say shit for the serum bowl.   while she, personally, agreed erwin should take it, she could tell levi was hiding something, and high key, she trusts his decisions over anyone else’s, even hanji’s.

PRE-MARLEY.  ↳      direct EMA parallel where ymir grows closer to people other than historia tbqh & now her relations are just overall deeper. that's not to say she's not still a huge fucking Sap though she def sends her Ugly Ass letters daily no matter where she is & that includes straight up in mitras where she just leaves them outside historia's room before leaving for training so she can wake up to her thanks.

she wasn’t in the meeting for historia’s whole baby-carrier thing.   she could tell something was off the second historia got back out from it,  but historia wouldn’t tell her, insisting she needed to be somewhere & ymir couldn’t come along, and neither would eren or mikasa because they were just ?? too shook / disgusted to speak of it yet, let alone to Ymir of all people, knowing it’ll rile the hell out of her.   they all just exited to their respective rooms without even making eye contact.   she had to corner hange and squeeze it out of them, instead.

after learning what the fuck was up she immediately tried to beat up all 3 of kiyomi’s guards, had to be held back by the random new SC members who stayed behind & weren’t really sure what was happening because all ymir was saying was along the lines of  ‘ill fucking kill you’  and  ‘you disgusting bitch’  with no other real context.

held historia a lot and told her they could fight against this, but was told time & time again that this was fine / hisu didn’t mind ( cue ymir’s rendition of why the fuck you Lyin )

nothing historia says will ever make ymir think she’s happy in the state she is now & this has huge potential for causing a rift over ymir feeling like everything she told her was Straight Ignored.

still told historia she’d support her no matter what, and did / does, and dotes on her like crazy during the entirety of her pregnancy.

gets into fights with farm boi on an hourly basis, but never around historia. she’ll drag him into the kitchen or smth and start shout-whispering about how useless he is bc he made her eggs sunny-side up instead of poached, the way she prefers them.
