i just have to figure out where i want the story to go!!! as i said, that draft is from 2023 - it’s the *only* draft, too - so i have no clue what i was planning at the time or where the plot was going. i’ll basically be thinking up a new plot!!!!!

i desperately want to create a book formatted version of the twenty one pilots lore. like it would be so fun and i have so much random information jumbled in my head about the lore and id love to write it. also id love to write it because ive seen people have issues piecing all the information together when learning all the lore information. so id love to write it in a format like this to make it easier though it would be more of a fanfiction personal opinion piece as even though i have information its probably not all accurate and the only person who knows all the details is tyler (well probably josh and mark but idk man.) i just think writing the lore into a book format would be so cool and i would kill to do it but i don't even know if it's worth it to create the fanfiction version if it bc if i get something wrong and they go to that to learn the story it would be sad i guess. i don't really know i am also just rambling bc i drank an energy drink too late in the day.
anyway to summarize i want to write the lore into a storybook format rather than just the videos bc it would be so fun. the biggest problem is the opinion/headcanon side of the lore and i don't know what's good or what's not when it comes to this. or what people would enjoy.
like all those issues wouldn't stop he from doing it, id 100% do it, just the biggest issue is my own brain. writers block and demotivation are things i fight all the time when writing and its such a big project that i don't even know how long it'd take to do it.
also the opinion part of it is so interesting bc that's where it branches off and becomes unique and id love to do it. and like sure mr. joseph is the only one that knows the extent to which the lore is supposed to be hit i think it'd be fun to create one of these days.
let me know if you're even interested because that would help me decide if i actually post it on something or not if i ever do it.
sorry for the long ass post it's really all just rambles but it's been something ive been thinking about doing for awhile. it'd have inaccuracies and would just be for fun, but id love to do it because of that. so again let me know.
thanks for reading this awfully long mess of ramble lmao. pls let me know

i think it’s apparent that josh has a flare for the dramatics, and id like to think he’s like that during his day to day life as well.
i think he would be incredibly pouty if you were preoccupied with work and he was not. i think at first he’d act like he was okay with it, and try to keep himself busy. but alas, i think he would get bored and honestly a teensy bit jealous over your undivided attention being on something that’s not him. to try and get your attention he would periodically sigh wistfully. when you proceed to continue your work, he increases the volume of his sighs and moves closer to wherever you’re sitting. when you lift your gaze from whatever you’re doing and deadpan “may i help you sweets?” josh exclaims that he feels he’s being ignored, and he knows it’s slightly clingy but he just wants to “hangout with you” and “it would be a great pick me up if you guys could hangout.” how could you say no to him!! he’s so excited when you remove the laptop from your lap and pat your thighs so he can rest his head in your lap and curl close to your tummy. he’d pick up your hand and place it on his head so you get the hint to scratch his neglected scalp (“munch if i was a cat i would totally be purring right now”.) then he will ask you what you’re working on, and listen intently to your explanation, he would be incredibly engaged and gaze at you intently while you talk, he would even softly interrupt and ask questions. he wants to put just as much into what you’re interested in, as you do for him! he loves supporting you, and would listen to you ramble about whatever until the cows come home (especially if you’re giving him noggin scratches). (what i wouldn’t give to explain the chemistry of candles to josh while i run my hands through his mullet)
NOOO BESTIE U ARE SO RIGHT FOR THIS I KNOW HE’S SO DRAMATIC OFF STAGE TOO AND IT’S SOMETHING SO PERSONAL TO MEEEEE

hi yes found you on the tall characters post, please tell me about the talls
SO GLAD U ASKED, ANON!!!!! :^D
ok so this is venn. (like the diagram. he is trans and he named himself specifically after it)
Tumblr media
like i said before, hes a time traveler!! (like as in thats his job and everything!) he is from the year 2148, which is the Widely Accepted Universal Present Year, or WAUPY for short. (I HAVE A WHOLE TON OF LORE I CAME UP WITH FOR THIS UNIVERSE AND I CAN MAKE A WHOLE POST ABOUT THE WAY TIME TRAVEL WORKS IN IT BUT to put this simply, once time travel was invented, an organization was created to regulate it so it wouldn’t fall into the wrong hands. while creating the regulations, they needed a universal present date, which would mark anything before it as the Past, and anything after it as the Future. That is what the WAUPY is for. To get more specific there is a WAUPD/T which serves the same purpose but it’s the exact Present Date/Time 👍)
anyway again as i said in the tags of that reblog on the tall post, he is 190cm tall, so like 6’2”. he’s 34, his birthday is June 14th (which makes him a gemini i think??) and the comic im planning with him and another oc ill talk about later in this post is about him traveling back to the year 2012, when his time machine breaks and he is now stuck there until he can fix it.
this is joshua, or josh, for short.
Tumblr media
he’s from the year 2012 and he works at a video store. (after realizing that video rental stores were starting to really decline even at that time, honestly im considering just changing it to a dvd and cd and video game store or something. id need to find the word for that. unless thats a video store. im kind of dumb sometimes lmao. or maybe it was originally just a rental place for dvds and now they also sell some cds and video games on the side? i dunno. like i said this comic is still being planned, SOME OF THE LORE IS A WORK IN PROGRESS)
anyhoo. of course i said on the aforementioned tall post that he is NOT over 6 feet, hes 175cm or like 5’7”. He’s 23, his birthday is March 22nd (which makes him either a pisces or aquarius i think if i know the zodiac sign dates right.) he’s the one who accidentally breaks venn’s time machine so he offers to let him stay at his place until everything gets figured out.
another thing to note is that they’re both from the same city, just 136 years apart!!
AND AGAIN: if anyone else is curious about anything else related to these 2 ocs, dont be shy, send me an ask!!!!! again, i have SO much lore stuff i can ramble on about.

✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Jake stared at his phone. Still nothing. It had been maybe 5 days now and not a single text or call from Josh. He feels like hes expecting too much of him. He is on his honeymoon but he told Jake hed keep in touch and send pictures. Jake had never felt more alone. To be fair he hadnt messaged Josh either but he didnt know what to say. All he had been doing was adjusting and it hadnt been going great so what was he meant to say? "Hey Josh! Just had my 3rd mental breakdown of the week and ive never felt emptier, how are you?"
It was about 10:00 A.M. and Jake was letting his coffee get cold. Soon he heard the familiar knock of Danny at the door and his spirits where lifted just a bit. Danny had been stopping by now and again to check up on him but it was really nothing more then that. He hopped up from his couch and quickly walked to the door. Opening it for his friend, he said "you know you don't have to knock, right?". "I know but i figured id be polite. Didnt think you needed someone barging in unwelcomed right now" Jake rolled his eyes "you arent unwelcomed" he mumbled. Danny giggled and closed the door.
"So, today its supposed to get in the mid 80s and i was thinking we could go do something! I dont think you sitting around and doing nothing alone is really helping..." Danny said. Jake giggled a little and looked out the window. It was beautiful outside. "Well... it does look pretty nice". Danny smiled and clapped. "Great! So i was think we could go to the market out downtown. Maybe do some cooking. Or baking. Or both. I know you like both" Danny rambled. Jake giggled again. He loved when Danny got like this. "I do like both"
"Ill go get dressed, wait here" Jake said and ran upstairs. Danny felt like a kid. He remembered doing things like the market or the fair with Jake and the rest of the band when they where kids. He remembered one time when Jake was scared to go on the rollercoaster and hid his face in Danny's shoulder the whole ride. Danny has been taller then Jake since he was 14 so he was used to that kind of stuff but for some reason that memory really stuck with him.
Jake came downstairs wearing a white long sleeved turtleneck, brown bell bottoms and one of his signatre big black hats. Danny felt his face get hot. While getting his money together, Jake looked over at Danny and noticed how pink his cheeks where. "Oh no, did you get sunburn on your way over here? I know we live close but you have to stop walking here in this weather" Jake sighs "ill get you some sunscreen, hold on" he disappears into the downstairs bathroom.
"Yeah, must be sunburn" Danny says, more to himself then Jake. Jake comes back out and hands him the bottle. After putting it on, the two leave and Jake drives them to the market. Jake parks the car and as soon as he steps out he hears the squelsh of the mud under his feet. He sighs in defeat "well this will be fun to drive out of" Danny giggles in response and they head in. Jake has never been great around people he doesnt know, but hes happy to be around others again. He had some well needed alone time but he feels a lot more open now.
Danny walks up to a booth to buy some apples and soon hears Jake shout "Danny, look at this guy's chicken!" Danny pokes his head out to see Jake holding a chicken while standing by a seafood booth. "Jake, where did you get the chicken" Danny says after making his way over. "We just got here and you already have a chicken?" "Would you have preferred me to find the chicken later? Also she belongs to him" Jake gestures towards the elderly man running the seafood booth. Dan cant help but laugh at this situation amd takes a picture of Jake holding the chicken. Eventually Jake has to part ways with her, much to his disappointment.
Danny feels the familiar feeling of Jake holding onto the back of his shirt so he doesnt lose him in the crowd. Danny loved feeling helpful. They stopped at a wine booth to try a sample or two. When Jake tried some of the dark red wine, Danny couldnt help but giggle at the faint pink stain it left on Jake's top lip. Jake looked up at him and innocently tilted his head in confusion. "Youve uh, youve got some wine on your lip" Danny said and without thinking ran his thumb over Jake's lip to wipe it off.
Jake blushed a little and Danny immediatly pulled away when he realized what he had just done. "Is it off?" Jake asked shyly, trying to ignore what had happened. "Y-yeah you're good". "So uh... you guys gonna buy a bottle or what?" The lady running the booth asked, seemingly running low on patience. "Oh! Yes please" Jake answers. They buy a couple bottles and move on. "What should we have for dinner? Do you have a taste for anything?" Danny asked. Jake thought about it for a moment "maybe some kind of pasta?". Danny smiled and nodded in agreement and they went on their way to find ingredients for chicken alfredo.
Sadly it was getting later and they had finished their shopping. The people at the market where closing up for the night. Danny and Jake had spent more time there then they anticipated. And to make it better it started to rain. The two sprinted for the car through the mud and the puddles and tossed their things in the back seat. When they got in the car and slammed their doors shut, they burst out into laughter. Jakes hat was soaked and so there the bottoms of his pants. Danny's everything was soaked. "Do you mind if we stop at my house to i can get a change of clothes?"
"I mean sure but you did leave a pair of pajamas at my house a while back" Jake said, tossing his damp hair in a bun and starting the car. "I know but that was for if i was staying over and i dont want to walk home in my boxers and a t shirt. Im pretty sure my neighbors will call the cops on me" Jake giggles at that statement. "Well you can always stay the night if you want. We didnt change Josh's old room into a guest room for nothing". Danny thought about it for a moment and agreed. As they where driving home, Dan caught himself staring at Jake. His mind was racing with thoughts. He was thinking about how cute Jake's ears were, mostly.
They pulled into the driveway and ran inside with their things. After getting inside, Danny slipped on the mud on his shoes and fell on his butt. Jake laughed at him and sat down on the floor next to him. They laughed at each other and their eyes eneded up landing on the other's. Danny felt lost in Jake's. They where so dark and warm, like a dark oak tree. "Your hair's wet" was all he could say and Jake laughed more. Jake gets up and helps him to his feet. They go into the seperate rooms and change into something comfier. Jake caught himself still giggling while changing and didnt know why he was so giddy around Danny. He realized he hadnt looked at his phone all day. Usually he would have been checking it every hour hoping for something from Josh. He checked it for good measure but it was exactly what he expected, nothing.
He couldnt help but feel like he was being ignored and he missed Josh so much. Tears pool in his eyes but he wiped them away immediately. "No" he thought to himself. "You're having fun and i dont want to let Josh ruin that... its been so long since youve had fun". He heard a knock on his door and wiped his eyes one more time just in case before opening the door. "You okay? I thought i heard you sniffling" Danny said looking a bit worried. "Im okay, dont worry" Jake said with a small smile before tossing his phone on the bed and heading downstairs.
They spend some time cooking and goofing off. Jake plays an Elton John record and they sing together. Danny's hair had dried over time and looked so frizzy. Jake giggled and ran his hand through it, moving it out of Danny's face. Danny smiled down and Jake and suddenly he felt so small, but in a good way. He felt so safe with Danny and he made his chest feel funny. "Your hair is soft" Jake says quietly. Danny blushed but didnt follow his instict to pull away or move Jake's hand. They stood there like that for a bit before Danny looked down at the sauce he had been stirring and said "its done, of you want to set the table" Jake pulled away gently and nodded. When Danny came into the dining room, the table was set but Jake was nowhere to be seen.
He put the food on the plates and poured the some wine. Soon jake came down the stairs holding his phone. "I wanted to take a picture, for Josh" Jake said. Danny smiled and nodded. He moved out of the way so Jake could get a nice picture of the food. Jake took it and sent it to Josh. The two sat down and started eating. "This is quite possibly the best pasta ive ever had" Jake said. Danny giggled. "Well what do you get when you put two good cooks in a kitchen together? Easy. Good ass food" Danny replied. Eventually they finished and headed to their rooms.
Danny layed down in the bed in the new guest room. He stared at the ceiling and knew he wouldn't be able to fall asleep. His mind was racing with thoughts and memories about today. He couldnt help but laugh to himself. He was so happy. Meanwhile, in the other room, jake stared at his phone. It had been a few hours and still nothing, it hadn't even been seen by Josh. Jake felt the tears pool in his eyes and this time he couldn't stop them. He missed Josh a lot. He would have been happy with anything, a hello, or a goodmorning, if he was really lucky maybe even a quick call but he got nothing. Jake didnt get to cry for very long before Danny poked his head in.
Jake couldn't bring himself to explain his situation but the truth was, he didnt have too. Danny didnt care, all he cared about was that Jake was crying. Danny crawled into the bed next to Jake and was immediately hugged by him tightly. Jake cried into Danny's chest and Danny slowly layed the two of them down on the bed. He hugged Jake back and ran his fingers through his hair. "I miss Josh" Jake cried weakly into Danny's shirt. "I know, bug, i know". Jake liked that, bug. It was new but it made him feel special. The two layed there and eventually Jake's cries stopped and where replaced by soft snores. Danny let himslef drift off as well and thats how they fell asleep, close and tangled in each other. Safe.

I really like that hill uses multiple strategies of therapy. hes a passive wall when josh is going off on his own tirade, hes communicative and friendly when expressing his specific thoughts and interpretations, and hes comforting and understanding in the way that josh needs physically and emotionally (not looking at him crying but also telling him how hes wrong about himself). its super easy to block in a therapist in a story to one facet, but i love his three dimensional self and therapy room
sdkfjksdjf WELL HERE IT COMES - THE POST-FIC WORD BARF YOU’VE ALL (not) BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!
just for the sake of anyone who miIIIIGHT still be planning on reading t(a) and who isn’t aware of all my twisty-turns yet, i put the other ask you sent (and my rambling about dr. alan j. hill and my own writing, lol) under the cut!!!
be warned: LOTS OF MENTIONS OF MENTAL HEALTH STUFF. JUST LIKE. SO MANY! YOWZA!
let me tell you more about what i liked about dr hill in that last chapter. when he plops the document down because he printed it to make notes on the paper?? golden, loved it (i too have a printed file of the complete fic and an epub, you stellar star). How was it to take apart your own story within a story and reflect it back not just on how you wrote josh, but the games og story as well??
okay, so for all this, i need you to picture me lying on the floor, staring up at the ceiling. i am gesturing a LOT with my hands. with that in mind...
i suspected hill was gonna end up being a bigger part of the story than i’d initially thought PRETTY EARLY ON, but lord help me by about the second therapy session i think it REALLY sunk in that like, okay. here we go. in the game itself, hill is...well, he’s something, all right. a framing device, sure, and one used to really weasel your “fears” out of you, but really he’s this just...malevolent, unpleasant, unnerving force. when a hill session starts, you sort of tense up a little, right? because this guy is GOING to yell at you. you’re making shitty fucking choices, you’re being a hypocrite, and he’s going to smile that self-righteous smile at you and it’s going to sting.
but then if you play your cards right as sam, you get into the basement. and you find josh’s phone. and you see this perfectly polite, innocuous text message from the REAL hill, and it’s just sort of like oh. oh. and by the time you reach the very end of the game, you realize that this strange, unpleasant man in his vest and his wrinkled shirt is just...well, he’s just josh, in a way, and i really, really, REALLY wanted to make sure that was a major part of the story as a whole. hill is introduced to us as “the analyst,” and the main antagonist (at least of act 2) of the game is introduced to us as “the psycho,” and since i’m a literal psychologist who’s had to sit through literal years of psych theory and history, god help me, the moment i realized they fit together as a sort of superego and id, i was just down for the count.
i HAD to make hill a main character. i HAD to. and GOD I’M SO GLAD I DID.
like i said, i’m a psychologist! and ud is, among other things, a very psychological game. i had to rub my grubby fingers all over it, BUT i wanted to do that in a very specific way...namely, i wanted to try and fix a lot of the just...real shitty handling of mental illness in that game lol. josh’s “canon” endings never, ever, ever sat well with me, for a lot of reasons really, some more obvious than others, so when i really dove into what i wanted t(a) to be as a whole, i knew that framing stuff differently was going to be a HUGE factor.
enter hill.
in the game, we’re presented with a list of therapists josh has seen, past tense. but we don’t meet any of those people. we don’t see their offices. we don’t hear josh talk to them or interact with them. all we know is hill. all we know is the other side of that desk. to ME, what that meant was (video game logic aside), hill must be somethin’ special. he’s in josh’s head - literally and metaphorically - and he’s a big ol’ presence in there. he’s LOUD. he’s opinionated. and, at the risk of going full-throttle on the whole psychoanalysis shtick i’m already about knee-deep into, he’s ALIVE. he is JUST as alive, and just as solid as any of the other characters - maybe even MORE SO than a few of them.
so i was left to reverse-engineer the guy a little bit. we know what he sounds like in JOSH’S head, and we know what he sounds like in text message, so where do we go from here?
there’s a line in one of their sessions where hill explains to josh that sometimes finding the right doctor/therapist is all about “fit.” that’s something that was DRILLED into our heads while i was studying psych - that you can be the best fuckin therapist in the world, but if you don’t connect with your client on some level, you’re only going to be able to do so much. i wanted hill and josh to “fit,” i wanted to be sure there was a REASON that hill was so alive and vibrant and strong in josh’s head. so shaping him sort of became a what-would-josh-need game, and like you mentioned in that first ask, uh...well, josh needs some specific things. someone who wouldn’t shy away from the darker/spookier aspects of his life and how his mind works for sure, but also someone who knows how to push back in the right way and at the right time. someone who you can see a little bit of josh in, and maybe...someone that JOSH can see a little bit of himself in too.
i do not say this lightly - writing hill became...one of my absolute favorite parts of t(a), and now that the story’s over, i really do find myself missing writing about his and josh’s sessions the MOST. don’t get me wrong, i miss ALL of it!!! but writing hill really was its own thing. he’s just sort of this angry paper doll in the game, and getting to build him - the REAL him - into a living, breathing person was just SO much fun, and writing in his voice was a BLAST, and hearing that you enjoyed READING it is just skldjfskdjfs it’s just so wonderful.
AS TO THE OTHER ASK!!!
i had an IDEA of what i was going to do vis a vis the ending(s) of the fic pretttttttty early on, but admittedly, that final chapter, (the end), was the last one that occurred to me. originally the fic was going to have two endings, a “good” end and a “bad” end (bet you can guess which is which, womp womp), but then i realized, uh...fuck, the “good” ending WASN’T a “good” ending at all. it wasn’t even a LITTLE “good.” not in the sense you WANT a “good” ending to be, anyway, and that was one of my main issues with ud in the first place - there IS no “good” ending for josh. there just...ISN’T! and so i started thinking...why is that?
why is it that JOSH doesn’t get a “good” end? why is it that even though we have, more or less, BEEN josh throughout most of the game without realizing it, that there’s no way this story ends well for him? why is it that he loses his sisters, battles his own mental illness and grief, and no matter what you do or how you play or what decisions you make, the end is always a bad one for him?
and then i thought, well...sure makes a lot more sense if he’s the one writing it, doesn’t it?
picking apart the game’s events was one thing - picking apart ANY game’s events is sort of just what i do in my spare time (as i’m sure you’ve picked up on ;P hehehehhehehehehe) - but picking apart my own story, especially josh’s whole deal, was sort of the most fun i’ve ever had??? it became this recursive sort of thing, an ouroboros, a snake eating its own tail, where i took SO MUCH JOY in planting little things into early chapters that SEEMED like they would be foreshadowing for the events that took place in the lodge...only to be able to say in the end “NOPE! OTHER WAY AROUND!!!” it gave me a reason to explain some of the, uh, hmm, more creative directions the game took in terms of writing, as well as some of the character choices/dialogue, and i do need you to know every time i got to plant one of those little nuggets, i was in fact grinning maniacally and twiddling my fingers like a cartoon supervillain.
in that way, i want to say hill was...hmm...not a self-insert by ANY stretch of the imagination (oh god at least i HOPE not), but sort of a stand-in for me, or you, or anyone else who read the story and played the game. in that final chapter when he lays the story down in front of josh and categorically goes through everything he did and why he did it and how that doesn’t make him a bad person, just one who’s struggling...i wanted it to be that moment where you reached through the screen and finally shook him by the shoulders or gave him a hug or - let’s be real, fucking BOTH - like you’ve been wanting to for so many chapters. and more than anything else, i wanted him to do what a good therapist is meant to do: help shed some light on what you’re feeling and why you’re feeling that way...and then show you that no matter what, there’s still hope for what comes next.
i am POSITIVE that is about 10,000 words more than you were expecting, but i mean...that’s sort of what i do. XD god i hope even a third of that shit made some kind of sense.

Simple Mistake - Ch.4
Tumblr media
Pairing: Tyler Joseph x reader
Word Count: 1.2k
Warnings: angst
Author’s note: chapter 4! second to last chapter :) this is going by so quickly!! hope you enjoy!
Chapter 3 || next chapter
Tylers POV
“Tyler, bro, what in the name of God did you do?” Josh shouted. I flinched at his harsh words after the apartment door slammed with a thud.
“Oh my god,” I groaned into my hands. “Josh, I screwed up.”
“Yeah, you did!” Josh gestured to the door with the spatula he was holding in his hand.
“I told her I don’t have feelings for her,” I admitted. It sounded like a good idea at the time, but now I realized that I had just, yet again, lied to Y/N.
“Idiot!” Josh slapped my stomach with the same spatula.
“I need to tell Jen, right?” I looked over at my best friend with pleading eyes. I needed to hear his advice. “Josh?”
He sucked in a breath, “I think you should do the right thing.”
I wrinkled my eyebrows as I tried to make sense of his answer. “What?”
“You know exactly what I mean, now eat some breakfast or I’m never cooking again!” Josh threw the spatula dramatically onto the kitchen counter and walked into the living room.
I wanted to do the right thing. I really did, but I just didn’t know what the right thing was. Well, I think I had an idea but it was going to be difficult. You never wanted to hurt someone, especially someone he cares about.
I headed back to my room and grabbed my phone. I scrolled through my contacts until her name popped up, the picture of us together as the contact ID. I softly clicked on it, and brought it up to my ear. The familiar ring rang in my ears until a soft voice chirped up.
“Ty?”
“Hi, Jen,” you sighed.
“What happened?” she sounded distressed.
“I need to be honest with you right now, Jen.”
“Okay.”
“I’m sorry because I know this is going to hurt you and please believe me that i never meant to hurt you.”
“Tyler, just tell me,” she snapped, interrupting your rambling.
“I kissed Y/N, last night, and I first thought it was a drunken kiss that didn’t mean anything but now I realized it’s because I still have feelings for them, but I don’t want to be lying to myself anymore, or lying to you. You deserve someone who will love you unconditionally because Jen, you truly are a wonderful woman and I do love you but I am not in love with you. I’m really sorry.” I waited anxiously for her reply as all I could hear was her soft breaths on the other side of the phone.
“Tyler, I know,” she sputtered.
“What?” I was confused.
“I know you are in love with Y/N. I knew before we got together, and I know you said you were over her, but I could still sense those feelings for her. I thought maybe I was helping you get over her, but I guess I was wrong.”
It’s not like that, I thought I did get over her, but I think I was just lying to myself.”
“Exactly, Tyler,” Jen sniffled. “You need to go be with her.”
“Jen, I’m sorry.”
“No, Tyler it’s okay. I’d rather be broken up with than being lied to and wasting time.” Her voice was a mixture of disappointment and relief.
“We can still be friends right? I don’t want to lose you.”
“Yes, Ty, we can still be friends. Thank you for being honest with me. I’m not upset, maybe a little disappointed, but it’s okay.” Her tone sounded genuine.
“Thank you, Jen. Again I’m really sorry.”
“It’s okay.”
“Bye, Jen.”
“Bye, Tyler.” I held the phone to my ear for a few seconds after the buzzing came. That was one of the most difficult things i’ve ever had to do, but now I have to go to what might be the scariest thing of my life. Confess to Y/N.
I don’t know what is going to happen because I lied to them, and what if they do not want to be with me because I am a liar? What if I just lost two important people in my life?
I decided that it would be a good idea to explain to Josh what I just did, and get his input on how I should tell Y/N. Josh always knew what to do.
“I broke things off with Jen. I told her the truth,” I admitted as I sat next to him on the couch. I could feel his gaze, but I kept my eyes down.
“I knew you knew what the right thing was. You’re going to tell Y/N the truth as well, right?”
I nodded, “I just don’t know how. I don’t feel like it should be over the phone. Breaking up with Jen on the phone was already crappy enough.”
Josh hummed, “Yeah, you should go over to her place and tell her exactly how you feel and then see what happens from there.”
“I’m worried about rejection because I lied to her.” I picked at a hangnail.
“That’s why you should never ever lie, not to yourself and not to anyone.”
“Thank you, Josh. For always being there and giving me advice.” I patted his knee and then grabbed my keys on the coffee table.
“I’ll always have your back, dude. I love you.”
“I love you too, Josh. I think I need to go tell someone else I love them too,” and with that, I headed out to my car and drove over to Y/N’s house. My hands never stopped sweating.
Your POV
“Boys are so stupid!” you spoke over the phone to Y/F/N.
“Not all boys,” they giggled. “You just need to find the right person, Y/N!”
“But Tyler is the right person. If he wasn’t then I would have been able to get over him years ago.” You gnawed on your bottom lip. You really wish that you were able to get over Tyler Joseph, but he was your best friend, and you had fallen in love with him. If you had been able to get over him like he got over you, then the kiss would have never happened.
“There is a reason why that kiss happened and both of you haven’t gotten over each other. Don’t you understand? You two have feelings for each other.”
“But that doesn’t mean we should do something about them!” you argued. “He lied to my face, and he also kissed another person while in a committed relationship. They say once a cheater always a cheater.”
“You’re being dramatic, Y/N, but I’m just a person and I can only tell you advice. It’s up to you if you listen.”
“Hm,” you thought for a second. Y/F/N had a point, but everything was still cloudy. You barely have gotten over the excitement of kissing Tyler in the first place.
“I need to go, Y/N, but text me if you need anything at all, okay?”
“Okay, bye.”
“Bye.”
You hung up your phone and placed it on the charger. Your screensaver flashed and you looked at the picture of you, Josh and Tyler at one of their shows. You took a second to focus on the details of Tyler. The way his eyes almost seemed to twinkle when he flashed a smile, and his hair stood up on it’s own despite the fact he doesn’t wear any product in it. You could practically remember the smell of the cologne he was wearing that exact night. He always smells good.
A honk from outside your bedroom window woke you from your daydreams. You shuffled over and pulled back the curtains to reveal a car. A car that you recognized as Tyler’s.
What was he doing here?

A silver of afternoon bright sunshine snakes its way through where the blackout curtains come together. It beamed right on to still sleeping Axel and Susie. She further buries her face in Axel’s chest.
He snorts covering his eyes with his free hand. The other resting on her back, “Close the curtain, baby girl.”
Susie whines without moving.
“I got it Mr. Axel,” Carol whispered. “Rest as long as you need, I will clean quietly.”
“Thanks, Carol,” Axel mumbled. “Put coffee on?”
“Of course, Sir,” She picked up some cloths on the floor and put them in his dirty cloths basket to go do laundry.
A half hour later, the couple woke slowly to the smell of coffee. Susie stretched rolling to her other side. Axel kissed her shoulder softly before getting up, grabbing some cloths and heading to the shower. The hot water felt amazing as he stood there with his head down, palms flat against the wall, as the water beats over him.
The door slides open for Susie to get in with him. She wraps her arms around him and lays on his back. Axel stands. He turns towards her smiling down as droplets of water tumble off his hair, down his nose to the tip of hers.
“How are you doing this morning Babe?” He grabs a shampoo bottle squirting some in his palm. “Turn around.” He starts to wash her hair.
Susie turned closing her eyes as she leaned her head back a bit for Axel to wash her hair. “I’m a little sort, Daddy.” She muttered.
Axel grinned, “Not when anyone is in the house Babe. That little game is between you and me. Would you like to have an interview for that mechanics job you want? We can make it like a game.” He rinses her hair and adds conditioner combing it out gentle.
“Yes, I would love that.” She smiles wide keeping her eyes shut as Axel rinses her hair. “Only I don’t think of that as a game, Axel. An interview with any company is to be taken seriously.”
“Maybe you are always to Serious Susie Q, but I guess I will find that out in a few hours.” He washes every part of her.
Susie giggles, “I am perfectly capable of washing myself, Axel.”
“I know,” he smiled. “I just like to take care of you if it is alright?”
“I guess it’s fine,” She turned as he rinsed her with the handheld shower head.
“Now go get a nice sundress on,” He opened the back of the shower door. “I believe Carol has coffee, donuts, and fruit for us to have for breakfast. She always has good treats when she comes to clean.”
He stays in the shower to wash when she gets out. She does what he tells her without a second thought. Her only thoughts were how nice it felt for him to get her clean and of course, coffee. When Susie ventures out to the kitchen she saw to coffee mugs, a basket of fruit and box. On further inspection she looks in the clear window at the top of the box to see a myriad of donut holes in a variety of flavors.
Carol rushes over to pour her some coffee, “Good morning Miss. Do you like the flavored creamer that is in the refrigerator?”
“Thank you, Carol,” She smiles. “I would like the creamer. You can call me Susie.”
“Sure thing, Miss Susie.” She gets the creamer and pours it until Susie holds her hand up to stop.
Axel Comes out in Camo board shorts drying his hair with a towel. As soon as Carol sees him, she pours his coffee, adds a little sugar to it before starting back to straighten up the bedroom.
“Thank you, Carol,” Axel yells after her. “We will be out of your hair for a few hours after breakfast.”
“You are welcome Mr. Axel,” She rambled, “You need to eat more. You are to thin.”
“If you say so Carol.” Axel laughed, “Carol has been the family housekeeper as long as I can remember. She also took care of me and my brother Josh when my mom,” He looked down fidgeting with his fingers before taking a sip of coffee. “When she left us.” He popped a sprinkle covered donut hole in his mouth.
“I’m sorry, Axel.” Susie took his hand from across the table. “Can I ask what happened? You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want.”
Axel shrugged, “I was about thirteen and saw how my Mom was kind of flirty with guys other than my Dad. It was disgusting. I think her leaving was the best thing that ever happened to him. But he was pretty pissed when I told him that.
“Josh was only eight. He cried a lot for a few weeks as far I remember. He needed a Mother. Carol tried her best to fill the void. Eric was trying to get a degree in something when she left. I can’t remember what. I just remember he came home on break and never went back. Dad was disappointed. I was happy. My mom couldn’t embarrass me when she hit on my teachers.” He popped another donut hole.
Susie ate a strawberry cream filled and sipped her coffee not sure what to say. Her parents never seemed to notice anyone else but each other. And they could sometimes be amorous in public which was embarrassing for her. It was embarrassing for her now. It was ten times worse when she was thirteen. But She didn’t think it was nearly as embarrassing as Axel’s situation.
“How about we take a walk on the beach,” He sighed. “The ocean air always clears my head in the morning. Then I’ll take you to the garage to do that interview. I don’t think you are dressed correctly for an interview, but I’ll let that slide since I told you what to wear and you look fine as Hell.”
“I guess it pays to know the owner,” She giggled. “If you give me the mechanics job,” She picked up another donut hole licking the glaze off before slowing sucking it into your mouth to eat. “I’ll give you another kind of job.”
“Hell no,” Axel got up. “That would be sexual harassment Miss. We don’t play with rules laid out against such things at my garage. That is the worst interview tactic you can have in this day and age, Susie Q. I hope that isn’t your usual interview technique.”
She blushes, “No, of course not Axel. I was just kind of joking.”
“I take my business serious,” He leans down to her ear. “Also fuck jobs. So, one does not mix with the other. Unless my girlfriend wants to suck my cock during my break.” He grins. “Let’s go.”
They walk out down the back stairs to the beach. The sun is blazing. The farther they walk the more sun bathers and families liter the beach with their towels, blankets, chairs and umbrellas. Axel and Susie ignore it all as they walk together silently for a while.
“Axel,” Susie keeps walking with him as they talk.
“Yeah?” He picks her hand up to kiss it gentle. Some waves splash over their feet.
“I’m sorry your Mother left you when you needed her.” She squeaked out quietly.
“I never needed shit from her,” Axel grumbled. A small tear escaped his right eye.  “I just feel bad for Josh. Him being upset was worse than her leaving. But we all got over it. No use talking about her anymore, alright?”
“Okay,” Susie leaned on him as he put his arm around her shoulders. “Just know I’ll listen if you ever need too...”
“I won’t, so just drop it,” he growled before taking a deep breath to calm down. “Let’s grab a pineapple rum slushy at the snack house. Then walk back to get the bike. You have an important interview in about an hour.”
“Your right; I do.” Susie Beamed. “Should I be drinking before my interview?”
“These aren’t very strong,” He gets up to the outdoor counter. “Can we get two spiked pineapple slushies?”
“Sure thing, Axel,” The counter person said. “I am bringing my viper in for a tune up tomorrow. Will you be working?”
“No, I’m off this weekend, Dwayne but Danny is excellent.” Axel praises his worker. “He will have your motorcycle running perfectly when he is done.”
“Cool man, thanks.” Dwayne hands them their drinks.
“Thanks for keeping everyone cool with these drinks,” Axel raises his drink to Dwayne before walking off with Susie.
They walked back on the edge of the even more crowded beach and ocean entrance. They had drunk their slushies by the time they got to his motorcycle.
“I haven’t walked the beach to get a slushy since I was a kid,” Axel smiled. “Of course, in those days I didn’t get the extra kick. Not that this has much of a kick.” He got on his ride. “Let’s go baby girl.”
She crossed her arms and shook her head, “No, I know you said there wasn’t much rum in that, but I could taste it. I’m not sure you should be driving.”
“Really?” Axel glared. “Just get on the fucking bike. I’m fine. The legal limit here is 08% blood alcohol. According to intoxalock.com it takes about five drinks an hour for someone my weight to reach a .08%. I had a dash of rum. I don’t drink more than one drink of any kind if I am going to drive. I won’t put in us in danger like that.”
She stands there staring at him without budging.
“I can’t believe you don’t trust me.” He gets back off the bike.
“I trust you fine Axel,” She bites her bottom lip nervously. “I just don’t trust the alcohol in your system”
“Yeah, that isn’t a thing.” He grabs her upper arm. “I have no problem taking a fucking breathalyzer test at the Lifeguard stand.
His temper flared as they made their way to the closest Lifeguard tower. “ Hey Roni, you have a minute to prove to my girl one fucking rum slushy doesn’t make me to drunk to drive. She doesn’t fucking trust my word. Sorry wrong words. She doesn’t trust the fucking alcohol.” Axel smirks.
She looks down at Axel and Susie. He looks pissed. Susie has tears forming in the corners of her eyes. She tries not to let it show how upset she is about the situation.
“I just...” Susie starts.
“I don’t need to hear anything but a sorry from you, young lady,” Axel chides.
“Um yeah Axel,” Roni hoped down from her tower. “But give the girl a break, would you.”
Axel glared, “test, please.”
She gets the test out of her bag, “I think you know how to blow in this.”
Axel nods. “I’m ready.”
Roni puts the breathalyzer between Axel’s lips. Hits a button, “Now, blow, blow, blow, blow, and … your good.” She shows the results to Axel and Susie. “You are at .005. Your fine Axel. Susie, Axel can actually drink a few drinks in an hour and still drive fine. But I know he doesn’t. You want to check yours?”
“Yeah, make sure your judgement isn’t impaired to judge me,” Axel mumbles.
Susie rolls her eyes, “fine, I’ll do it to.”
“Okay then Susie,” Roni wipes the mouthpiece with an alcohol pad before putting it in Susie's mouth. “blow, blow, blow, blow, and … your good.” She shows the results. “You are .07. Your quite a light weight.” She laughs. “Still you would pass a test. But Axel is driving, right?”
“Yes, I am,” Axel said proudly. “Thank you, Roni. You going to the garage with me still Susie Q.?”
Axel and Susie start walking away.
“Of course, I am,” Susie assured him. “I still have an important interview, don’t I?”
“Yeah, if you don’t think you drank too much to deal with it?” Axel smirked.
“I’m sorry, Daddy.” She whined.
Axel got on his motorcycle and revved the engine waiting for her to get on. “I think a little girl that acts like you have today needs punished, but we will discuss that later.”
He speeds off cutting through the late afternoon traffic like it didn’t even exist. Susie held tight around him thinking she would almost fall off as they leaned into a sharp turn nearly touching the ground. He skids into his packing spot In front of the garage.
Axel sets up the kicks stand before getting off. “Give me five minutes before knocking on my office door.”
“I can do that,” Susie said meekly. She waited as instructed before heading into the garage with a smile plastered on her face. She nodded to the guys fixing a few cars and scrubbing down the place like their life depended on it. She knocked on the office door.
Axel answered the door with a clip board in hand, “Good afternoon Miss,” he looked at the clipboard. “Quinnby. You’re a little late.”
Susie was more nervous than she had ever been in an interview. “I’m sorry, I...”
Axel put his hand up to stop her as he sat down. “It says her you have some technical training in auto mechanics. What kinds of vehicles have you worked on?”
“I worked in a group on a few different cars and a truck,” She answered crossing her legs at the ankle. “I know I can learn a lot here.”
“I’m sure you could,” He leaned back clasping his hands behind his head. “Tell me what you like to do for fun?”
“I read.’ She wasn’t sure why the question was significant, but it had been asked of her before in interviewed. “I have been reading mechanics journals and magazines and learning about water sports.”
“What is the most interesting article you have read?” Axel prodded.
“They are all fascinating,” She fidgeted a little.
“Oh yeah?” He smirked. “What article was the most interesting?”
“I read Popular Mechanics and Rider.” She pauses. “There was a cool article on fuel efficient High Mileage Carburetors. And an older article that talked about a guy who built a carburetor for his sedan which vaporized the fuel and enabled his V8 to get over 100 mpg.”
Axel nodded and got up, “Thank you Miss Quinnby. I have many applicants to see but I will call you if you get the job here.”
Susie got up as Axel opened the door for her to leave, “Your welcome Mr. Cluney.” She walked out thinking Axel would follow her. He shut the door behind her instead leaving her a little baffled.
Inside the room Axel’s anger raged as he mumbled to himself. “fucking can’t trust me but wants to hide out here and expects a fucking job...” He punches his fist against the wall a few times. Blood ran from his knuckles. “Can’t fucking believe females. Fucking whores to get what they want. Expect me to just forgive and forget all their treachery.” He banged his head against the wall and screamed. “FUCK I AM MORON FOR TRUSTING ANYONE!”
When Axel doesn’t come out for a few minutes, she tries to go back in. The door is locked, so she calls out, “Axel?”
Axel splashes some water on his face. He took a few deep breaths as he walked to the door opening it, “I’m fine. Let’s get you a ticket back home or wherever you want to go but here. Here is not the place for you to hide.”
Susie’s mouth dropped open as Axel brushed past her without a look. She followed him without a sound waiting for a better time to ask him, what the hell he is thinking.
“Danny, Dwayne is bringing his Viper in tomorrow for a tune up. Buff out any scratches he has on the house.” Axel ordered. “I told him you would do it since you’re my best mechanic when I’m not here.”
The other guys scoffed at Axel’s remark. Axel glared, “Anyone have an opinion they want to share just step right up.” They all turned back to what they were doing. “Yeah, that’s what I fucking thought.” Axel gets on his motorcycle. He waits impatiently for Susie.
She comes out, “Axel, what’s going on? You are obviously upset.”
“No more fucking public displays.” He revved the motor. “You want to talk you come with me now.”
“But I think you are too upset to drive,” Susie squeaked.
“Of course, you do,” Axel sped off yelling, “You know where I live.”

Actually, he's doing me today. - J Cody
Tumblr media
Tick. Tick. Tick. Seconds feeling like minutes as they passed, each minute feeling like an hour. I hadn't seen J in a month, and god that month felt like hell on earth, even after weeks of pleading and pleading with him to take me with him, he'd still said no. In his eyes I were safer with another Cody only a phonecall away.
Mexico felt like a dream to me, J promising to take us away from all this bullshit, that was the deal, he'd save enough, pull any job he could just to scramble enough to get us both out. And now with Smurf in prison, I knew he felt more free, more like himself. For the past month I gave in to him; letting Deran keep a watch over me even though he swore J didnt say shit to him and having Craig stop me going too crazy, or drinking too much just that bit sooner with him on nights in, but even though he joked that it was because he couldn't keep up, I just knew J had said something.
It was no surprise that J had gained control in this relationship, and as tough and fiesty as I knew I could be, he knew how to show me he still had that power, even when he wasnt right by my side. Even so, Id been stupid enough to let him to persuade me to wait up for him tonight. When he'd told me he'd be late I'd assumed he meant around midnight but as 5am rolled around I knew oh how very wrong I was.
The sound of the lock turning made me sit bolt up on my knees, trying my hardest not to look tired or for better words, shattered. When he slipped through the door, he looked just as he did when he'd left but he was more tanned now, his eyes seemed brighter and as his eyes caught mine, his face lit up. He dropped his blue rucksack at the foot of the bed, climbing on the matress to me, capturing my lips in a deep kiss.
He was magical, and I were sure it was only a dream until my head hit the pillows, and his body was still ontop of mine, kissing me with such passion that I was left speechless. "I wanted to be mad at you, Joshua, but you walk in here and kiss me like that and i can't bring myself to be angry."
"I'll make it up to you, all we've missed," he started peppering kisses along my neck , making me melt into him. "Just don't stop saying my name." my voice was 'music to his ears' as he'd said before and as much as i knew he resented being called Joshua or even Josh for that matter, he'd let me, just because of how good it sounded to him, raw in his ears; that was heaven to him.
I'd managed to slow him down and get him talking about his month away; all the near misses and the triumphant points. He kept saying how much he loved me, he wanted us and only us, He knew the boundaries of this second chance, and He'd pushed it with this trip, but he swore then and there that it was all for us.
And he'd done it, the waiting and praying paid off and now we had enough, to live comfortably, to buy our house together and go. He wanted to celebrate but I on the other hand coaxed him into spending a couple hours with us wrapped up, just talking, smiling, laughing. He was soppy as soon as I said how lonely I'd felt, pressing gentle kisses to my shoulder, mubling about how sorry he was. It didn't take long for his lips to find my neck again, and for him to start replacing the nearly fully faded marks.
"don't tease me, J, I've waited too damn long for you". From then on it was tunnel vision for him, I was so focused on him that I'd hardly heard his phone ring a third time. He sat between your legs, biting his lip gently, before leaning down to press a dizzying kiss to my lips, leaving him long enough to pull off my underwear.
Once his fingers were inside me, it was enough to pull me from the silence I'd kept; the room filling with moans as he continued to tease me ever so slightly. The fourth ring of his phone was driving me crazy, I needed him left alone. "Give me your phone, J." He tossed me the cell, before lowering down so that his face was level with my pussy.
His rough hands pulled your hips closer to his face, his tonuge making light work on my pussy, sending you into a bliss I'd previously craved. My fingers tangled into his soft curls, as I moaned out for him. "Fuck, Josh, that's so good."
I answered the phone, pulling it to my ear, staright away having Pope's voice ramble on. "J where the fuck are you, we're supposed to be doing property shit for smurf." he finally finishes. I laugh slightly. "Actually, he's doing me today, so I'm afraid you'll have to cover it on your own." J pulls the phone from my hands, ending the call, and turning the phone off. "No distractions."
I knew he wanted to make me know that he was in control, so he pulled away, leaving me craving more, yet he stood smirking down at me, with a lustful darkness in his eyes. My breathing was heavy and I was looking up at him with a furrowed brow; frustrated about the amount of clothes he was wearing. So I reach out to him to pull his shirt over his head, only to be met with my hands being pinned above my head.
"It feels like i haven't touched you in years, yet you're fucking soaking for me." I lean up slightly only to catch his lips in another teasing kiss, tugging his bottom lip between my teeth as he pulls away. I speak in a hushed tone, legs wrapping around his hips as he's hovering above you. "Then fuck me like an animal, J, you know you've missed being rough with me."
His hips had me pinned into the sheets as he slowly sank into me, and I'm sure that if it wasnt for my soft moans or fngers wrapping around his bicep, he'd have already fucked me halfway across the room. He was an animal when he wanted to be, but right now he was flling me up to the hilt so fucking slowly I swore I could feel every vein, and we both knew what was coming, and he just wanted me to feel it. I could hardly find the time to adjust to him before he'd pulled nearly all the way out before thrusting back in roughly; not stopping there but continuing go build up a rough, deep and fast pace.
He was starved, and was ravishing all of me like the predator finishing its prey. J's fingers were gripping my hips with such passion and roughness that I could feel them brusing the harder he fucked me, and oh I wanted nothing more than for him to mark and take what was his. "Are you gonna cum for me, baby?"
All I could pull together was a string of moans as I felt it, building and building. My nails were dragging down his back, as he pushed me through your release, while coming down from his own.
Two weeks had gone by, and we were packing all the last minute things, nearly ready to go. The boys knew and they were happy for us both. I stood, looking out the mountains of shit, assessing everything and making sure everything was in order, "You think we have everything?" after no response you turn around "..J?" I hear him speak softly, I look down to see him sat on the floor with a ring between his fingers.. "Will you marry me?" he was still looking down at the ring between his fingers, "I'm not traditional, I don't play by the book. I'm indecisive and my thoughts never fail to stray back to you, you my are my idea of romance with either a long deep and meaningful chat or I fuck you into next week and yet you're the one person who gets me." He sighs, looking up at me as if it were the first time, "At least this Is one step towards our family life." I sit infront of him, taking the ring before throwing my arms around him, "Yes, J, Ill marry you."
after being sat there together, exchanging soft kisses and letting him slip the beautiful diamond ring onto my finger, I finally get to my feet, "I'm gonna take these last little bags out to the car and then I'll help with the boxes, yeah?" He smiles up at me, i lend a hand and help pull him to his feet, he tilts my chin up before pressing a gentle kiss to my lips.
I haul one bag over my shoulder, holding the car keys in one hand and another duffle in the other, I step out onto the drive, and walk toward the car, opening up the boot to squeeze the last bags in. I'm taken by surprise when a hand covers my mouth and the barrel of a gun is pressed to my temple. "Don't make a sound," the unfamiliar male voice speaks, his accent holding a Mexican accent to it. "You play nice and I wont hurt you, probably cody's little plaything huh?" I choke back tears, reaching up to try and pull the man's hand from my mouth. "Beautiful ring there, a shame," he pauses, "This makes things a whole lot more interesting."

i feel so silly writing this down so it’s basically purely mindless and absolutely incoherent rambling of BanditoParis but it’s more for myself to help jog my memory if there ever comes a time i need it to be jogged
had planned on going to a florist and buy a bouquet of yellow dahlias and have one tied around an armband and/or bring the whole ass bouquet as well but didn’t work out in the end, meh
so idk if tyler does them looking straight at the camera and pointing and doing stuff at every concert during stressed out and heathens but gdi lemmetellya i was NOT prepared shit got me all profuse sweating mode activated
speaking of fairly local the whole ass song!!! but mostly the END?!!?,!?§?!, like the smile the nodding and just the whole moment and his whole face and ‘behaviour’ i was like pleeeaaaase don’t do this omfg im gonna have to actually like you now
the pre-trees speech??? like it was so different from the usual (no slander here i truly get it) like i really liked his sincerity of like not gonna lie it can get hard to remember every show and every crowd
and then following this with but we’ll never forget this show bc you shined during the quiet game and honestly even though i don’t believe he will ‘never forget’ (again no slander against him here it’d just be natural for anybody bc life and all) in this moment i believed in the honesty of his words
also at some point he went like ….hey…. and i really thought he was about to say something but went on and ‘introduced’ josh or maybe he just temporarily forgot what he was meaning to say hehe ALSO that Star Wars prequel trilogy-worthy zoom out on the sound-and-light crew guy hashtag truly magical^^
i was like below the middle of the bridge (more or less) on the right side when facing the stage and during his comings and goings he literally passed me by and i was like *Khaled voice* comme si je n’existais pas elle est passé à côté de moi
also i felt like he took aaaages to climb on that bridge i saw him kneel down and all and i was like come oooonnnnnn man bring your ass over here so i can get physically the closest to you i could ever be
(saw a close-up of that moment in video and mannnnn that was……)
lost my shit at that first ‘paris’ with the right pronounciation BUT MOSTLY at his one-two-threes with THAt cute ass accent
i mean yeah josh made a whole ass sentence but tyler can count to three we stan a legend
had the new haircut and i didn’t even notice?????!!!
his smiiiiile i saw so much of that and im literally so freakin happy
when the trees confetti fell i Bathed TM in that shit lemmetellya
there were so many times during the show where i was just like…. standing there completely still smiling like a fkcing idiot while all hell was breaking loose around me bc i COULD NOT believe i was actually there and all that was actually happening
to be completely honest i think maaayyybe i might have slightly fallen a little teeny tiny bit in love with tyler mr joseph
no yeah i was completely in love with him yesterday
and like it’s so fucking surreal to think that i was dreaming about winning the quiet game and wE DID
dreaming not only josh but TYLER would say at least ONE word in FR and hE DID
fearing that the crowd might not understand whenever the boys would speak bc we’re so notoriously bad at ENG and that it would kinda sink the atmosphere down maybe but we got nONE OF THAT
and ofc and iknow im repeating myself here but like dreaming i’d get in and I DID!! like honestly all the gigs i been to i literally never got asked for ID but like i’d always had my name on the ticket so i was like i know they never check ID but what if this time they do uwu
but the main maaiiinn fear was the non-validity of the ticket like that’s where i really thought i was gonna get fucked over but anyway it’s all past now i just will NEVER do it this way again (like i never shoulda did to begin with but you know….experience)
but like gdi it’s been Worth It worth the whole ass trouble and worries and now im just.so.tired.
and that first sec guard tyler so desperately tried to get a dance move out of during my blood i came across at the end of the concert and i was like congrats on the dance and he smiled and said thanks ^.^
also THEN the beatles stopped and SAVAGE FREAKING GARDEN started playing and i was like azkhgdjsjf???agjehgfsdhfkjs???!!!!!!!! like whoever’s responsible for the choice to play that song i absolutely fucking LOVE you.
Tyler at the beginning of wdbwotv smiling ‘we’ve been looking forward to this one’ i was like ‘if you only knew’ also during pre-trees speech when he went ‘are you glad you came to the show tonight?’ i was like ‘iF OnLy YOU KNEW;;;;;;;;;’
also i been knew from the start but confirmation that tyler shouting and screaming his lungs out is my sexuality

Could we get some headcanons/more background on Abbey and Doyle’s kids? 🥺👉👈 I love the premise of this AU
Tumblr media
YEEEEE (im just gonna ramble a bunch about the backstory i have so far but ill put it in bullets so its easier to follow lol i apologize for it being long as fuck-)
OKAY SO,,, first of all,,, doyle and abbey timeline,,,, [i am looking respectfully]
in this au, they get back together and have a sort of ‘lovers pretending to be enemies’ chaotic on again/off again hookup thing off to the side just between the two of them thru like Most of the final season, they try to keep it a secret (especially doyle who doubts the saturdays would be hAPPY if he was seeing her again) but in the end, saturdays ofc find out, probably are unsure about it at first, but she gains enough of their trust to be there for the big finale battle in the weird world mansion.
when shit goes down and argost becomes the vessel for the two opposing kurs (regular kur, and the anti kur from zak monday) and they like. explode his matter or w/e, i imagine instead of kur just completely disappearing, the ‘anti kur’ gets shot back to its universe, while original kur gets forced into a new vessel in this universe... the closest of which happens to be the unborn child abbeys unknowingly carrying. basically, what if the two kurs just LOOKED like they evaporated but actually did what happens when you try to like tape two same sides of a magnets together and they YEETED-
So thats how we have Parker, their firstborn daughter! and this... also implies ‘Parker Monday’ exists which. 8^) i havent thought about yet so forgive me on that but hoo,
they dont know parker is kur, they got no idea and rly just assume kur is gone for good. but after they find out abbeys pregnant (which is a huge emotional trip for both of them in its own right) they do eventually sort of agree they dont want their kid exposed to that whole world of mystery. like, ik its a vital thing to the whole family, and ik these two people were probably voted least likely to ‘settle down’ in high school, but i cant imagine they didnt escape the kur/zak situation without a LOT of trauma, so while the saturdays stay in the cryptozoology field, doyle and abbey slowly pull away from the mystery and mercenary stuff, and also instead of going for big dollar lifestyle settle with ‘independently wealthy’ parenting.
also, neither of them really . grasp the concept that theyve even started a family, and are ‘together’, and that this is REAL, until around when she gets pregnant with their second daughter, Kendall. and then theyre like. oh nooo wait are we actually like boyfriend and girlfriend EWW-
when kendall is born parker is 3, and the next like 10+ years are pretty smooth sailing. as far as what the kids know/see, they probably know the cryptids when theyre little but. (tw animal death sORRY TO BE DARK I JUST??????) idk,, how long komodo dragons live/how old komodo already is and i definitely dont know Anything about giant prehistoric birds and am not even sure if science knows that lifespan, so. im not sure how long they could really be in each others lives??? i almost imagine parker would have memories of them that she assumes she remembers wrong, like “oh yeah they used to have a lizard and a bird... my imaginative little kid brain thought they were a komodo dragon and a dinosaur”, and as for fisk im still working on it but i . actually kind of imagine he might have a much longer lifespan (since lemurians are like ancient or w/e? and also if hes by dna like a gorilla cat or w/e gorillas at least live long af) and also feel like once he got older and settled down a bit he might live somewhere in the woods, maybe even his old tree? and the saturdays see him ALL the time obviously, but hey zaks gotta go to college eventually, a gorilla cats gotta eat bugs in forest, we all have to grow up and leave the nest sometime,
so idk the last time parker has actually seen fisk and she might assume he was an imaginary friend or smth but, 1. if i do write a fic they absolutely have to meet again, 2. overall the vibe is they know the saturdays are cryptozoologists, like, the same way josh gates does destination truth, seeking answers and studying, they dont really. know that theyre REAL. to them its like, a hypothetical science. (this is also part of why they dont realize parker is kur, she isnt around cryptids and therefore whenever her powers would actually show up they wouldnt be recognized) anyways parker isnt embarrassed or put off by it but just thinks its a little wacky, meanwhile kendall is obsessed with the world of mystery/paranormal/cryptic lol
speaking of the girls personalities;;;
parker is like. not really normie/preppy, even if she seems it at first glance, shes nice and has a good head on her shoulders but also is a teenage girl (inherently unhinged) and shes THEIR teenage girl (+5 feral) so despite her success and charm shes also very witty/crass when she wants to be, and deep down shes closer to the kind of person that would on pure inexplicable instinct put something random in your mouth when you’re yawning so you bite down on it afterwards. or like. that video of the girl singing in the bathroom while her friends curl their hair and she grabs the curler to use as a microphone before realizing its burning hot??? shes. the voice of reason, but the voice is usually shrieking in fear, making a cursed joke, or half the time whatever shes saying is actually smart. she kinda wants to go to college and travel, but struggles with indecisiveness and anxiety, so she has no idea where to go, what to major in, etc. and is again kinda just livin thru the typical teen life in that regard
kendall on the other hand is like. weird kid culture, the kind of kid that believes they are secretly a new supernatural creature each year (mermaid phase, werewolf phase, alien phase, etc), probably completely accidentally starts cults or witch covens at school (didnt realize teaching peers how to become ‘blood brothers’ and ‘make potions’ from puddles and stolen school supplies would be taken so seriously by parents) , very into emo/scene/punk/alt culture but not rly in an overtly dark/edgy way, more of a having fun and expressing self way. she wants answers for everything, really loves mysteries and being open minded, and definitely a rebel/adventurer at heart, even if she gets naive or in over her head sometimes.
the girls get along well! parker is not dismissive of kendall she just. isnt really into the same stuff/is more freaked out by it most of the time, but she would tag along on certain adventures, especially if it was to keep her safe. and kendall definitely directs gentle mockery towards parker a lot but does see her as a good role model and guiding figure, their bond is really strong!
other details !
doyle and abbey prob decide to say fuck it and get married after kendall is born, they probably have a few rough patches but nothing is more important to them than the kids now and in the end they understand each other better than anyone else so . canon tension idk her! family ftw! power couple! they intimidate the teacher during parent teacher conferences together hand in shady little hand !
their parenting style is exactly what one would imagine, 70% fun and sass and controlled chaos where theyre the bigger children than their children, 15% ‘this is how you hack the government and dual wield swords-- i was not supposed to teach you that im sorry’, and 15% actual guidance / emotional depth / etc. flaws might be overcoming their own immaturity for the first few years, and then being lowkey overly protective (while claiming they arent, but just bc you semi jokingly tell parker she should join the football team doesnt mean you dont actually hide 60% of ur life from her and check that her bedroom windows are locked every night and have 24 people listed in her school emergency contacts and used to cut up her food till she was 7 and-)
so abouT THE BABY BOY (Phoenix), 1. his middle name is leonidas bc im gay and i love emotional turmoil babes , 2. fully unironically the idea behind such a late pregnancy is abbey would be mid fourties when hes born right. so like. [has two kids] ‘ok birth control time’ [when theyre teens many years later] ‘ok im old enough to stop taking this’ [the hyperfertility curse that plagues many women rears its ugly head with one last hoo-rah]
and finALLY a very quick elevator pitch of what id write an actual fic to focus on;;; kendall sneaks into the attic to look for old shit bc they BOTH know their parents have been hiding stuff over the years, she finds things like a cryptopedia (now offline), the claw, maybe even a piece of the kur stone, and ropes parker into the long haul of figuring out what all this stuff is. and ofc the second they ever find the naga relic and parker comes face to face with it, [rest in rip] time for mom and dad to find out and all this kur shit to start ALL over again-

Sorry
The first time she looked at him, he knew he was gone. With one look, one smirk, he knew that knowing her would be destructive and thrilling and messy… but he still held her stare. This beautiful creature, with red, messy hair falling just past her collar bones and those green eyes that were full of laughter and mystery, was staring at him and he didn’t want the feeling in his stomach that started when she looked at him to stop.
Brooks saw her for the first time sneaking out of their freshman dorm. She winked at him as she slipped out the fire exit. He didn’t know who she was yet, but his head was full of stories. He made up an entire life for her. She was a model back home in Portland, she had three siblings and two cats, she wasn’t rich but was doing well enough to not take out loans to go to Columbia, and she was well versed in the classics. He wanted to meet her.
Columbia was a different world than his hometown outside of Little Rock. He ended up at Columbia on academic scholarship and found it was hard to keep up with his classmates. He felt like the odd man out and had a difficult time connecting with them. He felt different, and he wasn’t used to feeling different. Back home, he was the quarterback and star student. He knew exactly what to say and what to wear. He looked like everyone else with his year-long tan and wavy blonde hair. Here, he felt like a fish out of water. He wore too many Abercrombie t-shirts and cowboy boots were not accepted footwear. In high school, he was always surrounded by people. In college, he spent his free time in his dorm alone.
It was a full month before he saw her again, this time outside of a bar in Manhattan. Brooks’s roommate Josh had taken pity on him and dragged him out to Dive Bar for selfish reasons; he was tired of coming home to a depressed Brooks sitting in the dark watching Netflix. He lent him clothes to wear so he didn’t feel as out of place. Brooks still felt out of place but appreciated the thought.
He saw her being dragged out of the bar as they were heading in. She was yelling at a bartender while swinging her arms to get free. He watched silently as she just ripped into this bartender.
“It is my God-given right to sit at this bar,” She was pointing her finger in his face, not phased that he was twice her size.
“Look, I don’t give a rat’s ass if you sit at the bar. But I start having issues when you take out your flask and start filling your drink right in front of my face,” The bartender crossed his arms. She mimicked him.
“You have no proof that I have a flask anywhere on my person.” He glanced down to her purse where the top of a water bottle was poking out. He looked back to her with raised eyebrows. “Ok, so I MAY have a flask on my person, but that’s because your prices for drinks are so outrageous.”
The bartender let out a long sigh.
“If you promise not to do it again, I’ll let you inside,” Brooks was shocked. How the hell did she just do that?
“Deal.”
Brooks caught her eye before she entered the bar again and she gave him that wink.
He was intrigued by her. Never in his life had he met anyone quite like her. It took him 6 lemon drop shots to work up the courage to go talk to her. He wanted to say something cool and suave to make her think he was cool.
“You’ve got balls, y’know.” Real smooth.
She seemed amused. She raised an eyebrow at him over her cup.
“I’ve seen you before,” she said as she lowered her drink. “You’re the southern kid that doesn’t know how to dress.” He didn’t care that she just insulted him, all he cared about was that she knew who he was. “You look different.”
“A good different?” He asked. She shrugged.
“Just different. It’s like you’re playing dress up.”
“Maybe I like playing dress up.” Not one of his finer lines, but she made it impossible for him to think clearly. Or maybe that was the shots kicking in. Either way, it got a giggle out of her. Brooks felt like that was the biggest accomplishment of the night.
“Do you want to see something cool?” He just nodded as she dragged him out of the bar. She kept pulling him until they were in the alley behind the bar.
“Here,” she handed him a bottle of Jack Daniels she had somehow snuck out of the bar, so she could jump up and grab the fire escape to pull it down. “Can you give me a boost up? And if you look up my dress I swear to God I’m killing you.” Brooks laughed as he helped her up and handed her the bottle, following her up.
The building wasn’t the highest, but it still gave a great view of the city. He watched how she was standing and how her hair was blowing in the wind and all he could do was take in this moment himself.
“Everything looks so peaceful. Like, if I were to scream, I don’t think anyone would notice or care.” Brooks decided to scream at that moment, causing her to laugh before she joined in. It was just the release he needed.
They didn’t make it back to their dorms until three that morning. They were drunk and giggly and elated on life. He dropped her off at her dorm on his way up to his.
“It’s Sam, by the way,” she called out as he was nearly down the hallway. He was so drunk he forgot to ask her name.
“Brooks,” he called over his shoulder.
He didn’t see Sam for a while after that. He noticed her disappearance came in patterns. He would go from seeing her everywhere, to not seeing her at all for weeks. She would always pop up around the 6th of every month, give or take a day. He thought maybe it was related to health issues, so he never pried. It had gone on for four months.
She quickly became the only person Brooks felt he could confide in. He spent so many nights on the roof of Dive Bar or their dorm, just rambling to her. It was the one time he felt he could be free to speak without any judgment.
He told her about his mom, and how she worked as a nurse and a waitress to keep the house afloat. He talked about how nothing had been the same since his dad got released from prison when he was in 6th grade and how alcohol was a prominent fixture in his home. He talked about the farm he worked on in the summers and how his house was a glorified trailer, and how he was only at Columbia because he got extremely lucky with his scholarship. He didn’t think he was that smart overall and chalked it all up to luck.
During these times she didn’t speak, she just let Brooks rest his head in her lap as she stroked his hair. She didn’t speak much in general, not about herself anyways. She was elusive and mysterious, and Brooks kept creating stories about her in his mind.
He loved her, or at least he thought he did. He was infatuated by her. He thought she was cool and kind, always there to listen to him. He felt that they were growing closer; she was finally starting to talk to him about her life. It wasn’t anything too deep, but it was better than nothing.
They were up on the roof of the bar one night and her favorite song came on. The sun was just starting to set, and they could hear the music float up. They had bought a six pack of beer with Sam’s fake ID and were lounging, taking it all in. Sam started bobbing her head and humming along.
“Do you want to dance?” Brooks asked nervously.
Brooks had never felt uncomfortable around girls until he met Sam. Usually asking a girl to dance was easy for Brooks, but since he knew nothing about Sam and she made him so flustered everything seemed harder. She looked over at him with a raised eyebrow, finally flashing him one of those smiles that made his stomach go crazy.
“Yeah, let’s do it.”
They picked themselves up and swayed closely together. She was the perfect height to be his partner; she rested her head on his shoulder with her lips so close to his neck he could picture her kissing it. He held her a little closer and they kept dancing as the sun set.
They spent the rest of the night hanging out on the roof, only leaving to buy more beer. They walked on the ledge, trying to keep their balance; they joked around about one of their professors and how Brooks’s accent stuck out.
“I think it’s cute though.” Sam reassured him. Brooks couldn’t help but blush.
On that night in early March, he just went in for a kiss. He didn’t know what came over him, but he grabbed her and kissed her.
She kissed back. He thought he would die happy, right there up on the roof of the bar.
“Let’s get out of here.” She stood up and took his hand, leading him away from the bar in the direction of his dorm. Josh had gone away for the weekend, so they knew it was empty.
He was so happy. He thought that she felt the same way, and that things were finally looking up for him. He had spent so many nights being sad and it all led to this.
While they didn’t have sex (he wanted to wait, make it special), they spent the night talking and watching movies. There was something comfortable about being together in the dark; she was curled up into him, resting her head on his chest as he stroked her back. They fell asleep like that.
She was gone before he woke up the next morning. He was hurt, but figured it was because she had something to do that morning. She never said anything about plans, but then again, she never said much of anything at all.
The 6th came and went. He searched for her everywhere, but he couldn’t find her. He told himself that this was just their relationship, this was Sam, this was normal.
He knew it wasn’t normal. Deep down, he told himself this was weird. All of it was weird. How she disappeared all the time, how she never talked about herself, how she never called or wanted to actively hang out. Every time they had spent time together was because he initiated the encounters. She always went with it, but it made him question whether she really wanted to spend time with him.
Where did she go? Whenever she came back, she seemed like a different person. He knew she drank and figured she did coke because of how jittery she could be at times, but he thought that was just part of the college experience. That’s just who Sam was.
Who is Sam? He couldn’t answer that question. He was able to find out she was from Maine after basically pulling it out of her one evening. He knew after looking up her area code, but it was confirmed when she mentioned about not wanting to go back to ‘fucking Augusta again. You’ll have to drive me in a hearse to get me to go back.’ He didn’t know how big her family was, or her birthday, or even her favorite color. He figured it was black, because that’s what she wore almost all the time, but he still didn’t know.
He thought back on conversations he had with her. One of the nights that sticks out to him the most, when he felt the closest to her, wasn’t that night on the roof, but one afternoon when he bumped into her on campus. She had just gotten back from one of her excursions, or whatever she was doing.
“It’s so good to see you!” She exclaimed. He was a little surprised she went out of her way to talk to him, but he was glad she did.
“Want to get coffee?” She offered. She never asked if they wanted to hang out; that was his job. That was their relationship.
He got the call in late May. He was moving in to an apartment with Josh a couple weeks before their internships started. In the aftermath of Sam, Josh took Brooks under his wing and they found out they had a good bit in common.
He didn’t know the number, but he immediately recognized her voice.
“I’m ok.” She sounded weak. “I saw you had called my cell a couple times. That phone doesn’t work anymore. I promise I’m ok.” He had so many questions for her, but he just remained silent.
“Can you come see me? I need to explain some things,” she finally said after a long pause.
“Yeah, of course.” He really wanted to hate her for leaving, but he loved her too much. He wrote down the address and headed out to her.
It was a hospital. Maybe she was just volunteering? His stomach twisted knowing he was probably wrong.
A nice nurse was able to call up to her room and helped give him directions to find her. He felt like crying when he saw her.
Her red hair was tied up in a messy bun, and she seemed so tiny on that hospital bed. Her normally bright green eyes seemed duller, like she had been through some shit that took the life out of them. She was hooked up to different IV’s and tubes, making her look more like a robot getting recharged than a human.
“Where the hell have you been?” He wanted to remain calm but seeing her brought up all the anger inside of him.
“Nice to see you too. Sit down, it’s a doozy of a story.”
It was the first time she really opened up to him about anything. She explained that every month she and a friend from her hometown would hit up their dealer and take LSD. Her bender would last for days which explained why she went missing at the end of every month. This time, they were experimenting with new drugs. She didn’t know what it was, all she knows is that it hooked her for weeks and she couldn’t stop taking it. She ended up at the hospital because she started foaming at the mouth one night. Her friend dropped her off at the hospital and ran off because they were nervous they would get in trouble.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Brooks finally asked after a long silence. She shrugged.
“I didn’t see it as necessary. You didn’t bring it up. You didn’t ask where I went.”
“Sam, I thought we were friends. Friends don’t do that.”
“I mean, yeah we’re friends. But I like to do my own thing. That’s just who I am.” She looked at him with sad eyes. “I don’t think I’m who you think I am. I’m not some superhero saver, I’m broken and sad and that’s ok.”
“I can help fix you.” He was so desperate to have her back in his life.“I don’t want to be fixed. Not by someone else, anyways.” He felt her slipping.
“I love you,” he blurted out. She sighed and looked down, picking at her chipped nail polish.
“No, you don’t. You love this idea you have of me.” Brooks felt his insides breaking. “I don’t know if you’d like the real me. You’re too sweet.”
His blood was boiling.
“You can’t decide that for me. That’s not how this works.” He stood up from his chair and began to pace. She rubbed her face with both hands.
“Look, I get released in two days. How about we meet for coffee and I can explain more? I’m so exhausted. Please, Brooks. One favor.” He looked her, searching her face to see if she was telling the truth.
“Fine. Meet me at Joe’s Coffee on campus at 5.” She pinky promised him before he left.
Five came and went. He sat there until 6:30 before getting up and heading to his apartment.
When he got home, Josh silently handed him a folded notecard. In neat, delicate handwriting she wrote down two words.
“I’m sorry.”

Cards For Play Final
Cards For Play.
Jack Snodgrass.                             Student ID:14874354
Tumblr media
This is an example of what my cards would look like. The top tag line shows what type of card it is. For example this is a character card. The middle piece under the picture that shows what it is is the name of the character or item (in this case Frodo). And the bottom level of text is a basic description that doesn’t relate to gameplay but just thing itself.
Tumblr media
Project Title:
This project is titled cards for play. This project utilises a pack of cards of the students design to invoke play in users and players. My project is part about expressing the thoughts and fantasies of a person by triggering the brains creative processors. This is shown through the brains process of interpreting events that may be fictional or impossible to ever be carried out. When telling a story a humans brain does wondrous things, not only is the part that controls language utilised but any part of the brain that would be used to carry out the action or process you are describing will be triggered. So this is why when telling a story your brain will employ feelings that you may never be able to experience in a real life scenario.
Reflective Statement:
This project is titled cards for play. This project utilises a pack of cards of the students design to invoke play in users and players. I have completed this project by designing a game of cards that utilises aspects and elements from all genres of stories to let the users create their own fantasy stories. I discovered this was a fun way to get the creative waves of your brain rolling in a way that invokes play and is enjoyable for a large group of people. Through the experience and process of designing this game it helped me connect and reflect on the bigger picture and underlying them of what i was trying to do, whilst keeping the play element as the major focus. This is, as stated above, trying to get the parts of your brain used for creativity to be used at maximum levels. When telling stories the parts of your brain that would be used for the real life actions you are describing come into play and are used. This means that through telling stories you get to feel, no matter how small the feeling, things that you may never get to experience on a full scale or real level. For example if in your story you have a character jump off a cliff, part of your brain that would deal with the adrenaline and feeling of that might get a spark and you get a taste of what that could be like. Some things that i learnt throughout this process really surprised me. I usually find myself being very capable of writing when i sit down and really put my mind to it, but i found that as i played this game with my family that my brain went into overdrive as i tried to think of stuff on my feet and on the go. I think this is really cool because people are going to have to really think hard and fast to try and keep the story flowing. This project was shaped and first came into my mind as I am a lover of reading. As i feel reading is a dying art with the age of television only growing larger i think its important to still read stories and give your imagination a workout. This is where my idea grew from, as not only is reading a fundamental thing for a human, but the ability to use your imagination to come up with a sequence of events is just as important.
This projects goal and purpose was to create a game that was used to facilitate play. Play is described as people engaging in activity for enjoyment and recreation rather than a serious or practical purpose. This is why when designing and planning this project i tried to use things that bring me joy in my everyday life and try to find a way i can use it in a playful way. This is why i found it a no brainer to make a game that uses stories and elements from stories in a. creative and playful way. My project is a success in my eyes purely for the fact that it takes something that i feel is becoming a lost art and using it in a way that everyone can enjoy, even if they don't enjoy the activity and basis of my design plan.
What I've learned from this experience is that the power of your mind and imagination is something that people sometimes take for granted and should not be. Before designing this game it had been awhile since i had really had to stretch my imagination for any purpose. But in trialling this i found my mind working a lot harder then it has in recent weeks. I feel that this was a major part of this project as whilst the play aspect is the major function, a game that forces people to think and use parts of their brain that may go mainly unused in every day life is a success.
Whilst i am happy with where my project is at this point, like most others if not all things in the world, there is room for growth. I feel that this game and project could grown bigger and bigger, as with writing a novel, or a story, or a movie script there is a endless amount of material to be used and discovered. Whilst the brief says to make a standard deck of 52 cards my game would go well beyond that. Due to the amount of material available the amount of cards could go into the hundreds, and people will always think of new things and aspects to add for it.
My thoughts for this project are that the play aspect has a broader meaning. Play can be anything from a game to a playful thought. Thats why i feel this project is great because the ideas that come out will be able to be incorporated from a card game to many other aspects and features that could be used in every day life.

- My project has the title name improvisations. My game improvisations is used to expand and challenge the users mind and creative instincts to create a story using plot elements that they have no prior knowledge of what there going to be. This forces users and players to think on their feet and try to use knowledge of existing stories to drive themselves towards the ending. Players will be forced to reach for the corners of their imaginations to drive their stories and create a great fantasy world unlike our own. Users feelings and emotions will be effected an used throughout as they work hard to place themselves in a frame of mind where their stories fell there coming to life. This is a great game to enjoy with your entire family, or a group of friends anytime and anywhere.
RULES OF PLAY:
Initial Story telling card game rules:
One player at a time narrating the story, the player who begins as the narrator is chosen through a agreed upon routine by all players
The player who is the narrator must use the cards in his/her hand to reach the climax and ending that they have in their hand
Players turns will be over if they are deemed to be rambling
Players will pick another card if they end their turn or their turn is ended through other means
Players will each start with 8 cards not including their ending card
Cards will be randomly shuffled and handed out so that every player has a different blend of the types of cards they have
The takeover cards will be spread throughput the deck and can be played at any point
The switch cards can only be played when the type of card (Location, aspect, Character) corresponds to the card that has been played
If the word on any of your cards is mentioned you may play that card and take over narrating
The ending card can only be played once all other cards are on the table
The game is only over once the ending card has been played and only one person may win
No shortcuts
Type of Cards:
The types of cards i will be using will draw inspiration and design from the many different genres of film, tv and stories. There will be 5 main types of cards that the users will need to use to create their story and get to their ending.
- Character
Setting
Object
Action
Takeover/Switch
Character:
The character cards for my game will come from all aspects of every story there is. Films , television and Books (nursery rhymes, fantasy, novels)
Frodo
Homer Simpson
Little red riding hood
Etc
Setting:
These setting cards will have settings of specific and also generic places from all forms of stories. These specific settings will be things such as; the three little pigs house, gingerbread cottage, Springfield. Then the generic ones will be such things as; Castles, Plains, forests.
Object:
The object cards will cover objects from every type of story, both make believe and real. These will be things such as weapons, every day items, magical items, clothing etc.
Action:
Action cards will cover a broad spectrum of activities, scenarios and situations that occur in almost every story that exists. These will cover everything from running to fighting, conversing to arguing, loving and hating etc.
Takeover Pickup and Switch:
The takeover cards will function as the way for one player to take over narrating from another. The Takeover cards will be very limited and they will serve as a way to take over at any point in the game even if you are not the next player to go. These can be played at any time.
The switch card will be the second way to take over the narrating from another player. These cards will be scattered throughout the decks and will be normal cards that have a special symbol on them that allows the players to swap it in. For example if someone plays a setting card (forest) and another player has a setting card that has the symbol on it (swamp) they can take over the story only if they can play the card and fit the story around it. You may not play these for different types of cards, e.g. Setting to character etc
The pickup cards will function as the way that players can place down and make a chosen player in the game pick up the corresponding number of cards. These will be used so players can strategically place them to make someone pick up if they are drawing near to finishing the cards in their hand.
Gameplay , Setup and Rules: (Rules of Play)
Number of players: 3-10
Setup: Shuffle all the different element cards into one pile so that the draw selection is completely random. Include the takeover pickup and switch cards into this pile so that they are also at random and are not necessarily given or played by all participants.  Each player then gets a starting hand of 8 cards drawn at random from the deck. Each person then draws a ending card for themselves from the seperate deck of ending cards that have also been shuffled.
Choosing the first narrator: Have a deck of cards with different aspects of a person to chose who goes first. For example; person with the longest hair, person with the closest birthday, is the shortest or the tallest.
Turn options: The turns work with one person going at a time. The person narrating is in charge of continuing or starting the story. As they are telling the story they place the cards that correspond to what they are saying e.g “The hero walked into a swamp” as they use the word swamp they may place the card that has swamp on it into play. The story must make sense and can not just be random mumbling so they can play there cards all at once. The persons turn last as long as they can keep the story flowing at a normal pace, if they start rambling or get stuck there turn is over. Also if a player plays a takeover or switch card the person that played that takes over the narrating role. If the player chose to pass the turn over or they start rambling they must draw another card from the deck when their turn is over. If the players turn finishes with a takeover or swap card being played they do not have to draw a card.
Drawing a card: If the narrator chooses to end their turn or they are forced to end it due to rambling they must draw one card from the deck. If their turn is ended by a takeover or swap card being played they do not need to draw a card. The pickup cards in the decks will have 1,2, and 3 on it. These cards can be played at any point in the game but the person who is the narrator is the one who will need to pick up. Unlike most games you can not place another pick up card on top of one to make the number higher for another player. These are allowed to played even if the person narrating only has their ending card left
Playing the game: As you play the game your story elements are placed as you incorporate the aspects on your cards into the story.  You may only play the card if you use the element in the story and it makes sense, meaning your character cant be in the sky and then randomly in a field. As you play your cards you must use what you have to try and drive the story towards the ending that you have. This invokes play and draws the game out longer as you cant just ramble for 30 seconds and arrive at the end of your story.
Ending the game: The game is ended when one person has discarded and used all their cards and can play their ending card in a manner that makes sense. This means the player cant just randomly flip the story to match their ending and finish the game. The ending they conjure must make sense and be relevant to the way the story was unfolding e.g. “The hero drew his last breath and died valiantly in the battle” couldn't result in the Ending: And the hero conquered all and became the most powerful person in the kingdom. So this invokes the play strategy of using your cards and your turns wisely to try push the other players to continue towards your ending without knowing.
example of gameplay:
Players: James, Josh, Lucy,
James: Forest, Bilbo, Sword,
Josh: Swamp, Little red Riding hood, Switch (action)
Lucy: Plain, Big bad wolf, Running, Takeover
As done by who has the next birthday James goes first.
James: “ A long time ago in a kingdom far far away there lived a young hobbit named Bilbo (places bilbo card down on the table), Bilbo was akin young hobbit who loved minding his own business. One day when Bilbo was out walking in the enchanted Forest (places forest card down) he came across a strange site. End turn
James then picks up another card as he willing ended his own turn. Now josh is the narrator and he picks up the story right were James left off.
Josh: “it was a Swamp (places swamp card down) right in the middle of the forest. Bilbo suddenly grew very worried as he saw a red coat covered in dry blood. He realised this was the coat of Little  red riding hood (places the character card down) he was just about to get out of there when …
Lucy places her takeover card on to the table. This means that Lucy has interrupted josh and ended his turn as the narrator. since she ended his turn he does not have to pick another card up.
Lucy: “when the Big bad wolf (places character card down) grabs him from behind. Bilbo screams and tries to fight his way out. He mages to break the wolfs grasp and takes off Running (places running card down) ….
Josh now can play his switch card. As Lucy has played an action card down and he possesses a switch card that corresponds to the action cards he may place it and take back the narrating. Like before since he ended her turn she does not have to draw a new card
