since we're talking about call outs lately, i've been called out many times, most of which are made from lies and sometimes by altering screenshots, but the most effective call out i ever got was like, in early 2015 there was a tumblr user everyone knew was a terf, but she would say "actually i support trans women" this was before crypto terfs were as talked about so the language wasn't really there to say "hey this person is a crypto terf." but yeah some people put posts of this woman on my dash and i made a random post on my blog "why do yall reblog her shes a terf" and of course she searches her own name daily, found my post, and replied to it that me calling her a terf was racist. that was it. no other interaction. but she went on all night talking about me being racist and just making things up as she went "oh i bet she says the n word all the time irl" kind of shit that had, like no basis? But her follower base took it 100% and i literally had thousands of anons telling me to kill myself, trying to goad me into being racist (didnt work), and the most concerning thing was i got hundreds of anons being like "what was the point of doing hrt if you still look like that, you should kill yourself." It was like, violent and overwhelming. and on top of it I'd get random young teenager trans people who followed her and bought into her bioessentialism showing up in my messages being like "you give trans people a bad name" "you're why transphobia exists" etc etc it was fucking crazy.

but i lost like, no followers because everyone around me understood, this woman was a terf. this all set up the real one though.

later in the year a teenage "communist" trans girl made some snarky comment about me being racist on a post of mine blowing up. i ignored her cuz like, who cares it's just some random teenager. but i guess people were looking for a reason to hate me cuz that blew up, lots of people just took that at face value no need to investigate. when someone finally did send the girl an ask being like "hey how is she racist" she replied "I dont remember but I know she is" and even more people just took this as 100%. the thing is, i do remember her being one of those "you make trans people look bad" terf following young trans people, it's not that she didn't remember, it's that she didnt want to admit she followed a terf and she believed a terf just saying shit. I lost like 3/4s of my followers, i had a lot of people i thought were my friends just stop talking to me, and going forward every time i got a call out there would usually be a line of like "also she's racist, everyone already knows this" all cuz this girl needed to make a snarky comment cuz she just loves terfs.

the thing about the "i dont remember" bit is it made some weird game of telephone. "I dont remember" became "oh she's racist, i think she says the n word" which became "she called black bloggers the n word" like people just made shit up about me and connected it to this call out. and when id be like this isnt true id be met with a "this is just known, youre a known racist" and it's like, to this day i will still find people be like "hey good on you for growing as a person and not doing that any more" and its like I NEVER DID IT TO BEGIN WITH

Hey everyone!

So it's been a hot minute since I announced that we passed 10,000 followers on here! I'm sure... well, I'm actually sure that most people won't be TOO fussed either way, but I did say I was gonna do some stuff, and I wanna stick to my word if nothing else xD

So! Let the celebrations begin! Firstly, I'm announcing a new QnA (I love those things) that'll last,,,, I'll say 2 weeks and go from there. Feel free to ask me about whatever you want!! And yes - I do mean we! To write out all the alt text for these images, I've on-boarded minion-in-chief/court jester aplomb @tizzytinkertilly! I (the reaction images guy) will still be handling every other part of the blog - she'll just be doing that bit. For the sake of my sanity xD

This is kind of a big change - both the addition of alt text, and the fact that this blog is no longer a single-person operation - so for the foreseeable future, the queue's been tweaked so that we only post 2 images a day instead of 4. (Fun fact! 2 images a day was the original MO of this blog, and then covid happened and I was like "I'll make it 4 a day because it'll be a nice thing to do for everyone while they're miserable in this pandemic :)" and then I never stopped (although you could argue that the pandemic never stopped either).) Maybe if/when we fall into a good routine and feel like we can do more, we can bump the rate of images back up, but right now this is a teething phase and I'm keen to slow things down for a little bit. :P (Tumblr has made some WEIRD mechanical choices for group blogs, I'll be honest.)

I’m pretty sure I’ve shared it passively, but I never shared the full thing just on its own, so I’ll do that here!

So back in Ye Olde Days (13 years ago), Ask Blogs were a big thing on Tumblr, and also, so was Minecraft! And wouldn’t you know it, I was running a little Minecraft ask blog. And then I came across another, which had amazing art and characters and I adored what I was seeing, so I followed, they followed back, I sent little asks, and we communicated that way! The blog I found was run by two people, @cosmic-anchor (Silvia), and her friend Lazzy (boyo where’s your blog). He’s still a mutual bestie today, as are a few other folks we met via ask blog shenanigans, like @knightlymoon and @ragnarode .

ANYWAY. We get to playing on a server together (we actually use a Minecraft version release date as our meeting anniversary, because it was right around the prerelease of Beta 1.8: September 9, 2011. How do we remember? Well, that’s when they released Endermen! And anyone familiar with Minecraft aakblogs knows just how popular those are today. But back then? HOLY crap. Everyone and their grandma has a Sexy Broody Enderman or a Sexy Broody Enderman Hybrid. It was. A lot), take to each other like a church on fire, and become besties! We have a little house together.

Long time passes, and we’re on pretty much daily communication, still playing games, etc. I went through basic training and she was one of the folks I sent letters to while I was there. We played D&D together (This was an entire fiasco where we lost one bestie due to an abusive relationship. She’s back now tho! Love you Lynn <3). Even in the military, when I got DEEPLY depressed, she was there for me and helped me out (I credit her for being alive today. I’m not sure I’d be here if she hadn’t talked me down and convinced me to see a mental health specialist). I get out of the military, get my own little apartment, and go ‘wait a minute. I can do what I want. I have a best friend I’ve known for like six years now. Let’s invite her down!’ And so we start planning our first

‘Down’ is an understatement. See, I live in Texas. She lives in Kentucky, literally a thousand miles away. And while I’ve got all my documents and paperwork and driving skills and travel under my belt, she… doesn’t. As the older sibling of a special needs person, and not from a very high income household, she didn’t have this stuff. So it’s up to me, and I’m too fired up about taking my bestie to a renaissance faire (yah we. Really nerdy lol) to consider anything but!

We get her costume ready. Her plane tickets. Her ids and everything, sorted. It comes to like. Two weeks before the flight. And I get a call at work. It’s Via. Now, this is weird. Over the years, we’ve kinda fallen into a system. Common communication falls into just a message (Skype at the time iirc, Discord didn’t exist just yet). Something kinda urgent gets you an alert ping (like @ing someone). Dire is a call. And my phone’s ringing.

Not good.

So I hurriedly excuse myself from the office to take it, and she’s in tears. Her dad’s gotten cold feet, and won’t take her to the airport like he promised because ‘what if I’m an internet predator’. I mean. I get it. I have a Southern Style family, too (This will come up later). But damn it, she’s an adult. We’re BOTH adults. Also, I just bought a round trip plane ticket! Also, at this point I know more about her than he does. He still thinks she’s straight. But he won’t take her because we’ve never met face-to-face.

It’s Wednesday. I look at my office door. I have my best friend, current queerplat partner on the line, sobbing apologies.

“Hey. Tell him to pick a place to eat. Dinner on Friday. My treat, okay?”

“What?”

“Tell him to pick a place for dinner on Friday. I’ll see you then.”

Thus begins the trek that cements me as ‘most unhinged friend when others need something’ in our friend group to the day. I go into my office, spinning a sob story about how some nondescript family member just passed and funeral and blah blah I need to go but I’ll be back on Monday.

Green light acquired.

I go home, and immediately go to sleep. I wake up around midnight, pack my bags into my little Kia, and off I go. 1000 miles. Now, remember when I said my family would come up later? Here’s later: I didn’t tell them. There was NO WAY they were going to just sit idle while I drove a thousand miles, ALONE, to meet someone I’d never met in person. I’d never driven quite that far, either. Not to say no one knew, I would plot two hours on my gps, send the path to Lazzy and Via, and check in when I hit the next stop. If I didn’t check in, they were told to call my parents if I was over an hour late. Which, obviously, I never was, because I’m typing this and not like, dead or anything.

I roll up to her local Cracker Barrel at 8pm on Friday, after easily one of the best experiences of my life (was out between cities on a clear, late summer night, got to see the Milky Way for the first time, got ‘adopted’ by a bunch of truckers at a truck stop I paused for a nap at). My hair’s a bit frizzy and I’m wearing a shirt that says ‘Watch Closely: I’m About To Do Something Stupid’. But her dad gets the firmest, friendliest Texan handshake I can give, and a bright smile.

Apparently, he never expected me to show. According to Via, I humbled him that day. I don’t pay for dinner, despite offering. I even stay the night.

She’s on a plane for Texas two weeks later.

(Bonus: it’s at the point I send a picture of the big ol ‘Welcome To Kentucky’ state line sign to my parents. This. Was not a good idea lol. But I had my big Texas meat swangin my ego and I was damn proud to be functionally unhinged. My dad scolds me and then gets me a hotel room in Little Rock, DEMANDING I stop half way on the way back. My mom calls me, yells at me, and then hangs up on me. Calls back an hour later to apologize because she wasn’t mad I went, she was mad that I was right when I told her ‘you’d have tried to stop me’. Ultimately fine, in the end).

There’s at least one other travel adventure (much easier this time! We were supposed to go to PAX South but were too lazy that morning so we ate pizza and played video games.

I move out of my apartment and start renting a house. I have extra room. And I think about my friend, who’s only left her tristate area twice now, both because of me. And I think ‘that’s my best friend! I wonder if she wants to move down here!’

Another 2k miles on my poor little Kia (who’s STILL KICKING BTW), and she now lives in Texas. This was about five years ago. We live in my little granny house that’s older than both occupants combined. You heard that right, though. Oh my god, We Were Roommates.

It’s about this time that apparently Via starts Getting The Feelings but BLESS HER she’s being SO GOOD because at this point I’m defining as Aro/Ace. Turns out it was just some anxiety/aversion because my previous relationship was turbo unhealthy! But I really like this chick, and I’m like ‘you know what, I’m scared I’ll mess up our friendship, but I’ll try these things. We already go on ‘dates’ and I buy you flowers occasionally just because I was thinking of you and we already snuggle every night because it helps us go to sleep’ yeah I was. Hm. Dense.

Anyway it takes off HARD and within the year, we’re married on the coast where I took her to see the ocean for the very first time, on September 9, 2023.

Our first anniversary is soon. 💕

Life Lately

Hey there! It’s been a while since the last time I posted something.

Life was a little bit of a rollercoaster in the last few months but more on that later. If you wonder what happened to my inbox and tags: I simply forgot.

No, seriously, I have no view over the activities on here since last year summer, I guess. So I will just drop all the asks and start new.

If you already know me: welcome back to my small blog. If you don’t know who I am:

Hi. My name is Mimi. I am an aspiring writer for (dark) fantasy series and pen and paper games. Normally, I didn’t do much besides talking about my writing, but since I shifted in my day to day life to a more and more challenging and exciting schedule, I will probably turn this blog into a life diaries or something similar.

To give you a short overview over the recent events in my life, I will briefly go over them:

I had quite a pause on Project Rosary, but started again a few weeks ago. There is not much to say about this project, besides that I somehow got to meet some of my future beta readers? I now have a list for all of those people (a total list of 5 - perhaps more). I haven’t even finished draft one… I don’t know if this is a good thing or not xD

I started programming my Discord bot again! Kupla will have even more features in the future, which are currently only accessible for my close friends (Guild ID is set to our main server), but maybe, it will be available for more people in the future.

University is going quite well. I have gained a lot of new friends over the past year. I would even go over to saying I know so many people right now that I am literally overwhelmed by it to a certain point. Nevertheless, I never want to miss any one of them. Especially that one friend I am happy to call my boyfriend 💕

To be honest with you, I started writing several life updates posts but I never posted any of them. Even though so much happened in the last year and even though I could tell you so many things about all these events (organizing a huge party, being part of an official conference, publishing my first self-designed and co-written thing, new relationships, being in an official political position at university and so on and so forth), I am not sure what to write.

I don’t know if anything of this is interesting for you, since I linger in the writeblr part of tumblr.

Nothing - at least the 95% of the long list of things - is not writing related and I haven’t got the time to actually write on my own projects, even though I set myself an unofficial deadline to be done with draft 1.

Most of my time at the moment is consumed by university work and my mental health.

The truth is: my mental health is struggling at the moment to a point where my boyfriend and I agreed on changing our both schedules around, trying to become healthier in our sleep cycle, activities and overall mindset. He is way more mentally stable than I am, which is good for someone who is constantly overthinking stuff but also sometimes very frustrating.

My goal to change my daily routine is one of the most important things at the moment and by far the most present topic in my life.

I understand that this is not the content you hoped for when you saw my blog in the first place. I mean, I am originally a writing blog and people subscribe for a reason: to see exactly the content they hope to see. But at the moment, this blog is more a personal diary, instead of a blog about my projects, doing fun stuff like tag games and shoutouts.

Yes, I still love writing. Yes, I am still going to drop content about writing in the future. But this is not the only content anymore for me.

I would go on and say “drop me in the comments if you are interested in following this new journey” but obviously I will find out over interaction and follower counts.

Perhaps, I will get active again, when I have more to tell than “yay, I worked on my project for two hours but unfortunately I cannot tell you what I exactly did because I cannot risk getting rejected by an agent because I told too much”. Because my writing project is exactly that: a secret so I have a chance to get published in Germany.

Anyway, I hope I didn’t bore you to death with my little life update or scared you away that my content will be changing if I am active again.

im actually in the server 4 it and now i wanna read some visual novels after finishing these..non visual novels and manga bcs they have a big emphasis on learning thru vn’s and reading in general lolol

Welcome to Unmoor, a small midwestern town in a world that is not our own. A world where working mothers summon demons to babysit their kids, teens play pranks using ancient blood magic, and everyone knows the catchy jingle for the local exorcism van. In this alternate dimension, “modern gothic” is taken to its extreme, and yet the horrors are seen as something completely normal. They’ve lived with it all their lives, anyway.

It is said that Earth used to exist under the glow of The Sun, the ever-watching eye of the Angels. However, after a primordial celestial war, the eye was closed and The Moon, the cold and desolate home of the Demons, took its throne in the sky. In the modern day, no one living knows how The Sun’s rays felt, and they’ve adjusted to a dark world filled with horrific beasts and magical forces beyond human comprehension.

Most humans practice at least a little bit of the dark arts, which manifests much more visibly in this world. Whether their power lies in blood, primordial tongues, alchemy, or a pact with a Demon, magic can be found in all walks of life and can be applied in many facets of daily life. Marron, the in-universe owner of the blog, specializes in demonic summoning and communing with dark entities, though their powers are enhanced by their devotion to the Demon Lord, Uphir.

Other than that, life on this darker Earth isn’t too different from our world, especially in the mundanities. As dark a reflection it may be, there is still social media and gas stations and taxes. Taxes are the darkest force of all.

Lower demonic entities, angel drones, humans and semi-humans are allowed. If you have lore questions you can ask me, but I’ve left the lore kinda vague so people can expand on it organically! @nenchuu i am so happy you said this because i really wanted an excuse to list them but was too nervous. so thank you! this ended up being VERY very long. as such it's under the cut so this post doesnt take 7 years to scroll by, but ill be listing off my assignments here!!

before we jump in id like to preface that when i say "muppet" in this context im referring to the broader umbrella of muppets, not just the disney-owned property of The Muppets and the characters therein. strange distinction to make but its important i swear! so we'll be considering and including Fraggle Rock and Sesame Street here as well :3 also a couple of the brothers have more than one assignment, and some are MUCH better thought out than others. this is because i am nothing if not indecisive! hope this helps <3 OSOMATSU: Rowlf The Dog

this is by far the longest blurb of the bunch that im gonna write. im so sorry

lazy is probably one of the first words to come to mind when i think about either rowlf Or osomatsu. since this is an osomatsu-san blog, im gonna assume anyone here won't need a briefer for him. but in rowlf's case we get a sense for his laziness through his general laid-back, down to earth lifestyle as well as his proclivity for napping as seen in The Muppets (2011) when he all but sleeps through the montage of Kermit getting everyone back together. and speaking of his lifestyle, while rowlf is certainly less outwardly salacious than oso when it comes to women, thats not to say hes without his moments [theres literally an entire song in The Muppet Movie (1979) called "I hope that somethin' better comes along", which is about rowlf and kermit's lady troubles, throughout which they lament that they can't stay away from women no matter how they try]. he's also one of the muppets most commonly seen drinking or otherwise associated with alcohol; in the aforementioned 1979 movie, rowlf mentions that his daily schedule is as follows: "go to work, come home, read a book, have a couple of beers, take [himself] for a walk and go to bed." of course, osomatsu doesnt have a job, and probably hasnt read a full book in years, but im sure we can look past that in favor of the other glaring similarities. In addition to this, in The Muppets ABC show from 2015 [you know, the office-style comedy that got canned after one season?], rowlf runs a tavern. so clearly hes stayed a fan of alcohol throughout the years! their general personalities are also quite similar, being a somewhat stock comedic lazybones with a heart of gold [although both characters have more depth than this, its the general perception they receive]

past all this, though, there are some aspects of each characters' history which causes me to associate them with one another. namely, rowlf's early stardom; he was actually the first muppet to really achieve national stardom [kermit was quite popular on Sam and Friends in the 50's, yes, but that wasn't on the same national scale], being that he was a regular on the Jimmy Dean Show and gained fame for his Purina dog chow commercials in the 60's. he was also one of the first muppets for whom merchandise was made, such as the hand puppet created by Ideal Toys in 1966. and boy, isnt that a familiar year? moving on now, though! KARAMATSU: JOHNNY FIAMA / LINK

i was fairly indecisive with these guys since theyre actually somewhat similar in a lot of ways, but considering the hell i went through in narrowing my options for choromatsu, i figured it would be fine to put both of them down. pepe the king prawn was also up for consideration here but seeing as he actually gets pussy it felt disingenuous.

Johnny Fiama, despite being a comparatively newer character, takes precedence here because I feel that he better encapsulates the reality of kara's situation and attitude as a whole. hes a pastiche of the crooner-style singers of yore, like frank sinatra and tony bennett. while karamatsu's singing isnt quite the same as that of a typical crooner, their inspirations do both occupy a similar time period, hence the association in my head. Johnny also thinks very highly of himself, to the point of hiring a monkey bodyguard [sal minella] and has made many [failed] attempts to woo women throughout his run as a character. He also lives with his mother and has a very particular style of dress, so. yknow.

As for Link, my reasonings for his inclusion are very similar to the ones i have for Johnny, so i won't repeat myself. but i Will mention that his sense of machismo and confidence appears to be much more outwardly false than that of johnny, which seems to coincide with karamatsu's "fake it or make it" personality [though by this point we all know he has, to some extent, made it, much to the collective dismay of those around him]. this is highlighted by link's proclivity to call out for his mommy when scared, as well as the fact that he wears a toupee. while karamatsu isnt quite at toupee levels of faking it yet [although his season 3 promo art would suggest so], we've all seen him call matsuyo mommy multiple times by now. dont worry mr matsuno. i saw your chanel boots.

CHOROMATSU: SCOOTER / KERMIT / BERT

this was hell to me.

there are quite a few characters in the henson repertoire that fill in the tsukkomi niche that choromatsu at least Tries to portray. as such it was very difficult for me to pick out the ones that fit best, but i think i have it here.

scooter is much more a fit for 18!choro specifically, given his people-pleasing attitude and awkwardness, not to mention the glasses. in the early muppet show days, it was actually implied scooter was a teenager, as theres a few references to him being a "kid", as well as a joke about him "selling magazine subscriptions so [he] can win a skateboard at school". he greatly idolizes kermit and does his best to do right by him, but also isnt immune to a bit of smugness now and then; this mostly manifests as him holding his position as the theater owner's nephew over kermit's head to get what he wants. in later interpretations, particularly after richard hunt's passing, hes seen more as an awkward 20-something who happens to be somewhat anxious and has difficulty in social situations, such as him loudly declaring "you are all naked" when performing a speech in order to calm himself down. not to speculate but thats some shit choro would do on accident, i think.

as for kermit, this one seems to be pretty widely agreed upon since kermit is so popular, so i don't think it bears much explaining. i will however add that when i say that choro is a lot like kermit, im referring rather specifically to henson's kermit performances; both steve whitmire and matt vogel have done incredible jobs filling jim henson's shoes, but jim henson's kermit was always written to be a bit more angry and snarky than either whitmire or vogel's kermits have gotten the chance to be. this snarkiness and overall exasperation fit choro's tone pretty well, particularly in season 1.

bert falls into the same sort of space as kermit in that i think his alignment with choro is fairly obvious, so i wont waste much time here, either, but i'd like to point out that their interests in particular are what i find so compelling about this matchup; more specifically, how each interest is treated. choro's otaku tendencies are of course made fun of by his brothers, but are overall accepted to a certain extent being that theres no real fuss put up about him having his figures around the house and such. with bert, hes obviously accepted much more readily [mostly because this is sesame street. the message is to accept people who are different from you], but its still pretty clear his loved ones dont really understand why his interests are so important to him. hell, theres an entire song about it!

ICHIMATSU: BOOBER FRAGGLE / OSCAR THE GROUCH

i admittedly have much more for boober here than i do oscar, but it felt... sacrilegious to not include him. so! we move! boober in particular really encapsulates the more pessimistic, paranoid nature of ichimatsu. where the other fraggles enjoy a hedonistic lifestyle of play and great excitement, having parties any time they can find an excuse to throw one, boober prefers a much quieter lifestyle without as much excitement, to the point where he literally moves to a place called "the caves of boredom" in one episode. he busies himself with menial tasks like laundry and cooking in the meantime, finding them to be his biggest sources of joy; ichi seems to place great care in a sense of normalcy or hygiene in the house, if the "we're brothers, so let's be more considerate from now on" campaign is anything to go by, not to mention his scolding osomatsu over the groceries.

boober also happens to be very superstitious and a hypochondriac, placing great importance in specific objects and beliefs to keep himself calm [i.e the lucky bottlecap, which he says he "fears nothing" when he has with him]. there are hints to ichimatsu's superstitious beliefs throughout the later seasons, such as the balance skit with jyushimatsu and his number betting for the horse races. both characters also find a sense of peace and comradery with people much more lively than them; in ichi's case this is his brothers, and in boober's its the other main fraggles. in addition to this, boober has a second personality/alter ego named "sidebottom", who is a much livelier and social person than the normal boober. the parallels here aren't quite as strong but conceptually it reminds me very strongly of ichi's high school years.

oscar encapsulates the more callous, rude side of ichimatsu, not to mention his less personable attributes. oscar regularly tells people to "scram" and leave them alone, and insults others liberally; there's an entire article on the muppet wiki dedicated to the nicknames he's given other characters throughout sesame street's runtime. and its long as hell. oscar also cursed out big bird that one time, which was kinda fucked up of him, but again, we move.

his callous nature aside he does seem to have a soft spot for a few characters and Is capable of genuine kindness, in particular elmo, one of very few characters he's ever actually referred to as a friend. this, to me, is reminiscent of ichi's push-and-pull nature with those around him, not wanting to admit that he needs people around him or that he enjoys others' company as much as he does JYUSHIMATSU: ANIMAL

by FAR the easiest conclusion to come to. both are complete forces of chaos, driven by their own desires and lust for life more than anything else [except, perhaps, their own stupidity]. they differ only in that jyushimatsu has a baseline of normalcy he can return to when necessary, which animal seems to lack.

theyre both incredibly high-energy and have mantras which they repeat rather frequently [for jyushi, this was the "muscle muscle! hustle hustle!", and for animal its a more simple "bang drums! bang drums!"], and both are very athletic. we all know about jyushimatsu's affinity for baseball! in animal's case, he was actually the mascot for the U.S. snowboarding team in 1998, and is featured as playing various sports throughout promotional material very frequently. ...and, of course, if im to discuss this anime, i would be remiss to not point out that both of them are very horny. in animal's case this has been toned town VERY heavily since the disney purchase in favor of a more infantilized, family-friendly image of him. however, he used to literally chant "woman! woman! woman!" whenever a woman was nearby and is implied to have had quite a few affairs in the past. you all know about jyushimatsu, so i need not elaborate on his side of things here. TODOMATSU: BEAN BUNNY / RED FRAGGLE

i'll admit, i was sorely tempted to put miss piggy here, but seeing as totoko is essentially a 1:1 for miss piggy [and the fact that i've drawn totoko as miss piggy before], it felt markedly Wrong to me. so here we are! bean bunny as a character was quite literally created to be "the cute one" in order to take the onus away from other characters being perceived as cute, both in-universe and just in general. within the Muppets universe, this has usually manifested as other muppets insulting or admonishing him for his "cute" routine, sometimes with physical violence, usually in a very similar style to how the older brothers treat todomatsu when they're present for his attempts to charm the people around him. hes much more of a parallel to the image totty wants to portray than his actual self, but i think it was still worth noting the parallels to red are a bit less apparent, since red is much more outwardly rowdy than todomatsu is. even still, her competitive, hot-headed nature leads to a lot of conflict in her life; this in particular reminds me of the movie, wherein totty was ready to fucking Brawl with atsushi after his smug remark about the brothers during the reunion, as well as a few other moments im honestly too tired to recall specifically here. ive been writing for a while. in addition, red has a particular style of sarcasm which is very reminiscent of totty to me; more specifically, her barely-hidden animosity towards uncle traveling matt, coldly remarking her distaste for his letters whenever one is read aloud [one example of this that i enjoy most + find most relatable to totty as a character, is when she actually goads gobo into reading one of his letters saying "oh, go ahead and read it! i love fiction!", insinuating she doesn't believe a word that traveling matt says]. totty's open distaste for things that annoy him, usually only very thinly veiled with a sweet tone of voice assuming he isn't going full scorched-earth, reminds me of these catty moments that red has when she's agitated.

and thats it! i hope you enjoyed this, or at least tolerated it 👍 again sorry that some comparisons are shakier than others, i did write this all in one go so i lost a bit of steam. some brothers also dont really have very good 1:1 comparisons so it was tough to narrow down TT_TT

the funny thing about being an ososan fan while Also having the muppets as my special interest is that i keep seeing the brothers compared to muppets and, even though ive been a fan since 2015, it still hits me in the face like a frying pan every time

Before you I had not even thought of the concept of Femme Waver but now that I've seen it I realized it's correct and true and everyone needs to know the Femme Waver supremacy immediately (you also have very good takes not just about Waver but as FGO as a whole and I appreciate what you do)

Like I'm saying this as an intersex person w/complex gender experience, including transfem gender experiences (due to being raised neutral/masculine & having an androgynous body) but Waver being bigender/genderfluid/fagdyke as a Whole for me also ties into certain other topics such as the concept of divine androgyny in Alchemy (which is what Waver IS, an Alchemist) but also into the way his body developed as a whole and like....

To ME at least it's like. I see so many people saying "I want his gender" but not understanding what it means loskjwnhbefgyuhkj what are the aspects he embodies that you desire? the traits? the performance that he gives? What does he do in his daily performance of his self that gives inclination to something more beneath the surface?

I feel lately like a lot of the gender talk I have on my blog is about learning to stop hating one side for the other. Like my Caenus blogging has been about how Caenus, despite IDing as a man, doesn't hate his self who is a woman. And Artoria also has a complex relationship with her experience as a man but also as a woman, but ultimately the goal isn't for her to hate either one, it's to love and accept both and thrive in them. Waver is the same! There's a lot of pain he has about being treated like a 'girl' but it does not mean that being a 'girl' is bad, nor that you only have to be a 'girl'. There are other ... modes of femininity, I want to call them Avenues that one can experience it. To me Waver performs a lot of things that reflect to me as transfeminine; the way he acts and performs his gender feels like he is living within those margins comfortably and doesn't hate himself for it. There are things he's learned gradually to reclaim and accept of himself...

1. Why did you choose this url?

its sort of like a pun between yall dont know and the fact that, hopefully, sincerely, chanyeol does not in fact know that i run this blog lmao i changed to this after a long time of being bread-jinie and i wanted to rebrand. i will, however, do my best to never change URLs again because the masterlist switch over was a complete hassle

i have a fic recs blog called @yeoldontknowiread. as to why i have it, i know it hasnt been updated in ages since ive been kind of on hiatus, but i think reading and sharing work on this platform is immensely important. i actually read quite a lot of fanfiction, and i try my best to share the things i read. im very very behind on recs at the moment cause i try my best to write something substantial for every recommendation i make. as a writer, i know exactly the kinds of thoughts and feedback on fics that make my heart soar so i try to put in the same energy to my recs. community is only fostered when there is reciprocation

3. How long have you been on Tumblr?

hmmm since april 2017. i actually had my 4 year anniversary this year and i did have plans for things but i got roped into real life things and couldnt celebrate the way i truly wanted to :(

4. Do you have a queue tag?

no but sometimes i think i should. i view tags as a library on top of my knee jerk response to things. most of my tags are just my initial thoughts or feelings at any given moment, so those take precedence over a specific queue tag

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?

when i was getting into exo, i was reading fanfiction like crazy. i used to write fanfic quite a lot in other fandoms, but at that time i hadnt written anything in about 2.5 years. exo was the first re-introduction to that feeling of excitement and inspiration. after about 3 weeks of straight reading, i decided i wanted to write again. i wrote the prologue to hero in about two hours and tried logging into AO3 to post it. sadly i forgot all of my log in information because it had been years, and was getting frustrated. i really wanted to put it somewhere out of fear that id lose interest if i didnt do something with it, and everything id read had been on tumblr. so i made a tumblr just to put hero lmao i didnt have any mutuals. it was a blog with straight 0. i hadnt even created an account to interact with writers before that moment, i really thought id be a silent reader forever. but exo woke me back up and for that i am eternally grateful.

6. Why did you choose your icon?

the yours music video is...so stunning? like the colour theory throughout the whole thing is truly so inspiring and gorgeous. and this shot of chanyeol looking at the painting took my breath away, truly. tulips and the color of peach, like do you know how evocative that is? ugh

7. Why did you choose your header

my header was made by @jamaisjoons for my birthday this year because shes literally the most talented person when it comes to graphics. and this was so kind of her to do, i cried a lot

uhm....either the body through time or truth i cant remember which but i checked recently and its one of those

tbh i havent used tumblr that often, not since march i think. i used to use it many times a day, checking in on friends and stuff, but once i started focusing on my phd applications i was only here sporadically. i didnt make an announcement either, just let my blog run on queue so i wasnt totally gone. i think i was checking in twice a week or maybe once every two weeks to refill my queue and check mentions etc. but now that my interviews are done im trying to get back on here daily to reconnect

in what context? like, you need to reblog this or your wish wont come true? or like, please reblog this to spread the word/spread awareness, etc? in the case for the former, i scroll right by. in the case of the latter, if im around and see someone raising a go fund me or some major event is occurring and i find a post with good sources or charities i will reblog. mostly though, the full extent my activism isnt really on this blog. its my escape from reality. my activism is usually placed on other platforms.

Anyways, im tired of the policing of blackness in this fandom, im tired of the fandom racism, im tired of the homophobia, im tired of the anon hate, im tired of the white silence, im tired of the whitewashing and lack of accountability, im tired of the emphasis on stereotypes, im tired of people being comfortable in their ignorance, im beyond tired of the negativity i see everyday on my dash, plus obsessing over celebrities lives? C’mon yall, they’re people too, stop that weird shit. im tired of all of it.

This fandom is so fucking toxic its not even funny any more, like genuinely everyday another person ive been following from the start of this blog a few months ago is either leaving permanently or taking a break. People are turned off from being apart of this fandom and honestly i can see why.

In the 30 days ive had my blackness polices, ive been called the f slur by anons, I was told that id literally burn in hell for being a lesbian, people have tried to use me to spread their negative opinions and fucking signal boost them. ive had hate sent my way for my own opinions based on actual knowledge and information that ive learned through personal experience and studies and through an accredited university. Ive sat and watched disrespectful discourse happen on my dash almost daily, and i’m fucking over it. Genuinely over it.

There’s a difference between having an actual civil conversation and being blatantly disrespectful. Just because one of your posts comes off as respectful doesnt mean shit when you follow it by talking shit on a person or a group of people. I don’t care how old anyone is at this point-I could give less shits. If you wanna have a talk over a controversial topic by all means do it, but don’t disrespect one another and spread negativity because it solves nothing, no ones opinion is going to change, being rude isnt going to educate someone else. This applies to so many different things in this fandom, because there are so many fucking issues in this fandom.
