Don’t die, neither would I
You feel cold, barely breathing, engulfed by blue as you sink down into the water
You feel dull, lungs tight, eyes half closed to look above
You feel sad, deserving to drown but you don’t know, should you let yourself drown?
You hear muffled screams and chatters above, above water, above danger, above what was beneath, above the darkness that will soon swallow you whole
And you were below, sinking deeper, and deeper and deeper and deeper-
It hurts
To think you’ll die like this, from the place that you loved but stayed away from fear, and you couldn’t even fight to survive now, too weak, too pathetic
Too cruel to be saved
You think, a thought that swarms your mind, a name engraved into you like a tattoo, by many, you don’t know why
At least death could be kind-
Something red and green moved, and you had the strength to look around, and then something bigger then you have ever seen before swam near you
A giant beauty of green strength and red power, sculptured in a way that it defines the meaning of strength and a creature to be feared, hearing the faint ripple of his powerful tail swaying below him, white soulless eyes looking down at you like an entity
Engulfing his mountain of a shadow to your whole
But you weren’t afraid unlike the water , mind sluggish but had pieced the puzzles you have seen on him, markings of red and green glowing faintly, that soft but serious gaze in his eyes
You weren’t afraid
Because-
‘Red’
You whispered in your mind, too afraid to open your mouth, to push down water into your lungs, to pull out the name you have forgotten you had saved, a long ago, you
Like the color of blood, but more bolder, his glow was faint but fair, and he wraps his giant hands around your waist before he moves
He remembers you too
A product of a little deed you did a long time ago just to prove you were good
I guess karma was real
He swims upward, swimming to safety, for you to not drown, and air filled your lungs once again
You breathed deep, coughing, wheezing, clutching into the giant green and red for safety
For comfort
For whatever your muddled mind could form
“I gotcha”
He rumbles, voice like thunder and gravel bass but it soothed your ears instead, the quivering tremor making you shake, soothing you into the comfort you crave, giant hands still wrapping around you protectively
“I gotcha”
You concluded, you don’t want to die yet
And neither did he also

“You humans are way too soft”
He drawls, those white soulless eyes puncturing holes in your head as he stares, head still half under the water. It made you annoyed, huffing before flicking your fingers at him, rolling your eyes.
“Like we have touch scales and sharp teeth like you, we’re all flesh and bone”
The answer wasn’t something he wanted and instead clicked multiple times annoyingly, shaking his head
“ I meant you humans always find a way to give up and find another way of things”
You stared, you understand
“We’re like a sheep, small against this cruel world-“
And you glanced at the floating islands above, were the sheep in wolves clothing rich folks resides, you sign
“-but bold enough to walk into a wolve’s den, too curious and too brave to think of anything but their wants”
He follows your stare, he seemed to understand now
“I see…and are we the wolf except in the water?”
