September 3rd and 6th, 2024 | Rereading The Lord of the Rings (6/?)

I'm halfway through the Two Towers already, and I must say the pacing is a bit different now that the Fellowship has split. I was also quite surprised by how short the battle of Helm's Deep is, since it's such a culminating moment in the second film. Rereading the books is giving me a renewed appreciation for the films, both in their respect towards Tolkien's work and for the new elements they brought to the story, and I'm loving it!
