Google says Naomi Ackie was born on the 2nd of November 1992. She deleted a 2019 instagram post celebrating her real birthday which is on the 22nd of August, and her birth year is 1991. PLUS she looks like Magha Moon Tessa Thompson to me anyway. I hate when public figures lie about their birthdays lol, I always gotta double check.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
IMDB, my life saver.
Also she kinda looks like Uttara Ashada ASC Naomi Campbell. With her real birthday, she's a likely Uttara Ashada Moon.
Tumblr media
The Naomi Campbell face card in that picture icon pleaseee. That's a Sun nakshatra native.
Tumblr media
Magha Sun Naomi Ackie and Magha Moon Tessa Thompson comparison
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Literally doubtful that she's not a Magha nakshatra native.
Tumblr media
Ain't no way that's not.
Uttara Ashada Moon Naomi Ackie and Uttara Ashada ASC Naomi Campbell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Naomi, both Bri'ish, both Uttara Ashadas.

So apparently in one or two songs she sings about how women will regret sleeping with men when they can be sleeping with women and this is supposed to be peak queer rep. Like??? Do bisexual women not exist?
Not to be crass, but I prefer Janelle singing about loving pussy while featuring then rumoured gf tessa thompson in her videos. Way more relatable. Like, all queer women can actually get down with that.
ew we hate to see biphobia!!! esp hypocritical when chappell apparently has slept with men.
and yessss. thank u for the reminder of how iconic pynk was

My Casting Hopes for the Evelyn Hugo movie
Jenna Ortega as Young Evelyn (Teens and Twenties)
Tumblr media
She's a great actress and fits the role as somebody who is up and coming in Hollywood right now. She would do really well in this role, I think. I cannot actually imagine a different actress for this one.
2. Aubrey Plaza as Middle Evelyn (30's - 60's)
Tumblr media
I originally wanted Ana de Armas to play Evelyn, but she's already played a blonde bombshell in Blonde, so Aubrey seems like the natural choice. She would KILL this role. Also, I want her to do more gay stuff. A little yearning would be fucking fantastic.
3. Rita Moreno as Present Day Evelyn
Tumblr media
She is the only option. The obvious choice for Evelyn. Because she actually kind of lived a bombshell life. She is iconic.
4. Sadie Sink as Young Celia
Tumblr media
She's a decent actress and I'd love to see her play a role like this. A little playful and flirty. She's always seemed like she would play queer well, too.
5. Bryce Dallas Howard as Middle Celia
Tumblr media
I just think it would be super funny for two of a certain actor's ex-leading ladies being in lesbian with each other. also BDH is an amazing actress and so damn hot. Love her.
6. Tessa Thompson as Monique Grant
Tumblr media
She has always been Monique in my mind, even when I was first listening to the audiobook. She would do so well.
I literally have no opinions on who would play the actual husbands in this, but my brain is set on these specific actresses for Evelyn and Celia.
I've heard that Nathalie Emmanuel is being considered for Monique, which would be cool as well, but I really would love it if Aubrey was Evelyn. And if they cast Aubrey, they need to cast Jenna.
I also know that they're planning a movie, but I think this book would be better as a mini-series, which there being one episode per husband and then one more for the end of the book.
Either way, they really gotta get on this shit. What's taking them so long.
Any thoughts on my casting? What would you do differently? Who would you cast in the male roles?
