1. How did i get into tokusatsu?

I had gotten into jdramas and was really into Mizushima Hiro at the time. I found out he was Kamen Rider Kabuto, and fell down the rabbit hole that is tokusatsu

2. What was the first show you watched?

See above for Kamen Rider. My first sentai was Gokaiger and my first Ultraman was Orb

3. What shows have you watched so far?

Alot 😅. I have seen all of the Heisei Kamen Riders, along with the Reiwas and Kamen rider Ichigo and Amazon. Sentai I have seen everything from Jettoman. I've seen all Garos. Most of the Neo Ulraman series. I also watched Chousei Kantai Sazer-X. I should make a watched list

4. Thoughts on what you're currently watching/watched most recently?

Honestly I've been having a tokusatsu block and haven't really watched anything in a little bit but i want to get caught up on Donbrothers

11. Favorite henshin gimmick?

I do enjoy the transformation phones but in Zenkaiger with the guns and whenever a new member got one having them accidentally shoot instead of henshin was pure comedy

12. Weirdest thing you've seen?

Too many to say especially watching v-cinema

13. Which character death upset you the most?

Ahnk's 😭😭😭. The one that pissed me off the most was Gai Yuki's in Jettoman. It was pointless and served no purpose

So this post is old, older than my involvement in Fate actually, but with tumblr being tumblr and putting old posts in the stack, I came across it. Apologies if I'm bringing back something from the dead here lol, but I wanted to give my two cents.

Anyway, I agree with much of what you've said here about how Extella handles Tama. I will mention to the point that Nero was "nicer Saber" in CCC - in Extra, sure, but having just finished CCC Nero was very overt about her affections towards Hakuno in that game. She wasn't quite the Nero of Extella - she was much more finicky - but it does feel like her arc flows between the games (except for ExLink where she just kinda...reverts back to how she was in CCC, but whatever). Of course, CCC wasn't available in English until like a month ago, so that's probably why the confusion.

You also bring up an interesting point about how Hakuno was "noncommittal". Now, given that Hakuno and Nero are married in this game per Nasu's Extella Zero, it's not like his choice isn't clear. The true route also has Hakuno fawn over Nero while ignoring Tama (hell, in this route even Hakuno's friggin alt self who is supposed to be in love with Altera is like "i'd totally fall in love with you if I knew you better, Nero" ffs). The Tama-Nero-Hakuno triangle is definitely not the polyship that some fans like to think, and from a meta perspective it's obvious yet disappointing as to why they did it that way. The writers wanted Extella to be Nero x Haku focused, but they also wanted to bring in Tamamo fans, so they gave us this odd middle ground.

Of course, that leaves us with the question of why Hakuno, in character, doesn't just...turn Tamamo down? It's a weird trope you see in anime where the characters, for some reason, try to avoid outright rejecting people even if they don't share the feeling. I think of Hiro with Ichigo from Darling in the FranXX or hell, Shirou with Sakura in the other routes of Fate/Stay Night, just to give two examples. I guess it could be some cultural nuance given how downlow Japanese culture can be, but who knows.

In any case, personally I hope that if the Extella storyline does continue, we do get to see Tamamo have an arc about coming to terms with that rejection. As you pointed out, it has a lot of potential given she betrayed her master for Hakuno in this timeline. She obviously does feel strongly for Hakuno. As stands, the closest we've gotten is her whole arc in Fate/Grand Order, which still doesn't explicitly address the elephant in the room.

Alas, I suspect that Nasu wouldn't be willing to go so far, and will likely continue his "soft" handling of it all. Which is a shame.

Extella did in fact manage to keep Tamamo’s character intact, but I’m still mad, because they just sort of gloss over her and ignore said character aside from a couple shining moments in her route.
