I decided to stay a few days longer after my contract finished. Renting a bicycle for three days, I followed the Han River for around 100km upstream from central Seoul, the looped back across country via Icheon and Seongnam. In retrospect that was a mistake, as out-with the dedicated long distance cycle routes it was fairly hectic riding with large roads and lots of traffic.

There were splashes of cherry blossom across the landscape, and the other trees were just beginning to flush green with new growth. Unfortunately the daily haze tended to mute the colours.

Tutorial: Pacotes do The Sims 4

Oii, tudo bem?

Esse post tem o intuito de falar um pouco sobre os (vários) pacotes que temos para o the sims 4 e explicar mais ou menos como eles funcionam.

Dessa forma, nós temos 4 categorias de pacotes de conteúdo adicional ou DLC (sigla em inglês para “downloadable content” ou “conteúdo baixável” no português), para o The Sims 4. A) Favorite CC creators

Okay there is a lot of CC creators I like but here’s my top 3 and why

1) DeeDee Sims: For the hair. In fact the first CC hair I got was from DeeDee!

2) PlatinumAspiration; for the clothes. Also planning on getting other CC from them such as overlay tattoos and the alien make up

3) AppleWaterSugar: for the clothes. I love their 4t2 convert CC and I have some of it in my game. Such as Jaces sweater from Icheon Arrivals. I believe Vidcunds outfit he wears is from them too? I don’t know.

B) Preferred Neighborhood?

Strangetown! I had been playing Strangetown for a long time. I love the interesting lore and all in it along with the characters.

D) Favorite Current Sim

It will and always will be Pascal Curious. No one can replace him. Well except for his brothers but Pascal is always my favorite Premade.

W) favorite sims title?

The Sims Life Stories!

That’s what started my sims journey! In 2009 i believe? 2010? Idk but that game was great and I loved it. I still have the disc to this day. I have the neighborhoods actually in my UC game and started a play through on it but stopped. I will resume it soon though when I’m not as busy with my Megahood and Early Strangetown gameplay.

And bonus to the W question. What’s my favorite story? Although I like Riley’s but, Vincent’s story is my favorite.

Let me tell you the story of one of our unfortunate residents who seems to be a RESEARCH ASSISTANT on the island. Fate has assigned this individual guidance from THE HANGED MAN card. But they needn’t worry, their secrets are safe with me.

it seems to become a weekly occurrence.

the same dream occupying her often blissful sleep. she’s never had trouble sleeping before this but the idea that this dream would come again has made her a little more troubled than usual. there’s supposed to be meaning in reoccurring dreams or so she’s heard but such should be only a month or so chance, not usually the same time and night, every friday night as she falls to sleep after a long week at work.

jieun finds herself in her childhood home. a place she can no longer visit, a place that no longer exists. it starts as she climbs out of the comically small bed she once slept in as child. she hardly fits as she looks at herself in the mirror as her adult self, not the child she used to be. the edges of her vision are blurred as she passed from her old room to the hallway that leads to the stairs. taking each one a small second at a time.

creak. creak. creak.

if she were trying to move down stealthily than she would have long been exposed but she has no care if anyone hears her. not that it seems there is anyone around, strangely alone, no signs of her parents or sibling. jieun doesn’t understand why she’s here. a place so long lost that she’s not even sure if the building exists anymore. she was sure it had been destroyed many years ago but yet here it stands around her unblemished as it used to exist in her youth.

her feet finally reach the end, the stairs seeming to have almost never ended. a pull brings her to the small dining room adjacent to the kitchen. the same old table that her family used to eat around when they were once whole. instead of the daily newspaper and copies of her old homework she finds a tarot deck splayed about. each card turned over waiting, just waiting.

she’s ignored this dream for months, somehow finding the will to not pick a card. usually she forces her dream self to leave, forcing her feet to head to another room or toward the exit through the kitchen door and that’s when the dream ends. but this dream has not stopped for at least a month and she has grown tired of it.

no longer does she wish to have this dream.

finally she gives in. approaching the table and soft brown eyes scan over their backs, obscured completely as to what might be on the other side. it takes her more time than it should, but finally her fingers skim over top, choosing a card seemingly at random but something in her head tells her it’s not truly random at all.

the hanged man.

she’s never been the type to dabble in tarot so she’s not quite sure what it means. it has no meaning to her. but finally she hopes that this dream will leave her subconscious and never plague her again. she has picked the card as it has wished, can it now leave her alone and give to her a blissful nothing in return.

THE CARD FLUTTERS TO YOUR FEET. WHO WERE YOU BEFORE THIS STORY BEGAN?

it was a happy existence at first.

a young girl with two loving parents and younger sibling given not so many years after she was born. they were happy, they all were. a picture perfect family in a small town of icheon, south korea, not too far from the large city of seoul. her mother was a grade school teacher known for her soft voice and motherly nature to the children she taught over the years. her father a software engineer whom would often venture into seoul for his work. they were known quite well in the town and beloved by all.

jieun had been a young and kind girl growing up. talkative and outgoing to anyone she could meet, new or old within in the town. greeting everyone in the morning as she headed to school and happy goodnight as she passed by after school. many thought that she would have been able to do anything she wanted in life. they had thought she would be something of a person who would pursue a career of where she was in charge.

at least that might have been what her life could have been had everything not changed in a single night.

jieun and her younger sibling had been in the care of a babysitter. a night out for her parents that was very much deserved. a candlelight dinner and stroll at a park. they should have been home any minute now and young jieun had waited up even while her sibling had fallen asleep. a knock at the door, her parents shouldn’t have knocked instead simply opening and entering the home. but as the babysitter answered the door, it was not her parents that greeted them but the grim faces of two police officers.

a ten year old doesn’t much understand the word of adults. but she remembers a few, an accident. caught between possible gang members when a meeting gone wrong. it’s why the park had been so empty and her parents hadn’t been aware of it. stumbling upon the meeting and stray bullets finding their ways through their bodies, the unfortunate casualty of criminal violence.

they had no family in their small town, the only relative alive being their maternal grandma who lived in seoul, south korea. forced to move to a large city and to a new school. jieun loses bits of herself, no longer talkative and outgoing as she used to be and falling more into an introverted version of herself. how can she be the same after losing her parents like this?

instead of focusing on friends, she focuses on her academics. she finds her niche in science and math becoming her best subjects. she was always fascinated by the way the world worked. anyone would call her nerd and it would be a title she would happily accept. video games are another place of solace and at least in video games there are no expectations from others.

jieun graduates the equivalent of high school and due to her high grades gets into a prestigious science school focusing on marine biology. keeping her gpa high and within four years she graduates at the top of her class, earning her bachelor’s degree in marine biology. two years later she earns her master’s and decides to finally leave academic life. after searching for positions of research at various institutions and facilities, she gets a response back from a recruiter at a research lab on the small island of gwasuwon.

her curiosity more than anything motivates her to accept a position as a research assistant at the mysterious lab on the island. no one truly knows what goes on in the facility with secrecy being paramount but jieun is convinced that it can’t be anything too bad, right?

it’s only been a month since she moved to gwasuwon and she’s still getting adjusted to the new island and her new job but maybe soon she’ll find she will encounter more than she had bargained for.
