Flower Festival

[ ♥ ] — Ah, the Flower Festival... what a wondrous time, filled with love and happy feelings! Flowers weren’t too high on Felicity’s list of interests (of course, that applied to just about anything that wasn’t food), but she could appreciate their beauty, and the heartfelt sentiments attached to them.

So before she heads out to her evening shift at the restaurant, Felicity stops by City Hall to buy some flowers for a few friends, paying a courier to deliver them for her. Hopefully everyone would enjoy their gifts~

░ 🎀 ░     Cleaning up the books that her young mistress read was always a tricky task for Gina. If she doesn't put them back in their respective shelves right away, her Grandma Martha will scold her for ignoring the mess right in front of her and not doing her job properly. If she does clean up, Dia would look for them and scold her for not asking which ones she was still reading before tidying up! 

        And it's because of that dilemma that Gina resorted to doing half-and-half. The books that started to pile up will be taken away save for the book on top. That one she'll leave neatly where she found it. That way both Martha and Dia would be contented with her work. Most of the times... 

          ❝ Oh my ... what an incredibly thick book . ❞ Gina was almost done with the library. All that's left is a small pile consisting of three books. All of them were closed so Gina assumed they served their purpose. One in particular was heavy and thick. Was it an encyclopedia? ❝ If it were me , i'd take me weeks to finish you ... maybe months ! ❞  

        That is, if she manages to stay awake long enough to read more than a page. She survived the studying involved in nursing school, but reading for leisure was an entirely different matter. Now if it was a book on sewing techniques, or maybe herbal life... 

        Unknown to her, she wasn't alone in the library anymore. Her attention was too busy analyzing the heavy book she picked up. It contained terms she was not familiar with and topics completely unknown to her. The mention of runes was the only hint it gave.

░ 🌳 ░    Kurt planned it for a full week. During one of his visits to Clove Villa, he’ll offer to help Dia out at her summoning quest, and gift her a small token of appreciation. He doesn’t want to be too showy yet. He hasn’t proven himself worthy of her... maybe not in a while. He’s still just a poor man, struggling to get by. Dia, on the other hand, lived in a world unknown to him. Businesses owned by her for each of her fingers. A home that isn’t infested with rats. Kurt didn’t have that kind of stability yet. How can he even think of courting her at his current state?

         Still, he wishes to show her that he cared for her. That she lives in his thoughts and she was a person he thought of fondly. They shared a love for written art, and he found it fitting to gift her something related to it. In his free time, he carved out a bundle of wooden bookmarks, for Dia’s many, many books. She never ran out of books to read, and a variety of bookmarks would be perfect for it.

         On the day of his visit, everything was going according to plan. He presented her the gift. She was delighted. He was happy that she liked it. It was all going so well... until she invited him inside to show him a gift of her own.

          There on the table was a Mystic Axe and a Mystic Hammer. Compared to his silly bundle of wooden bookmarks, these were much more grand. A clear marker of their difference in social status. Kurt could only stare, speechless for a moment. When he finally gathered the energy to speak, he had to politely decline. ❝ I... I can’t accept these, Dia. This is too much . ❞

Cooking by the Book || Felicity & Dia

[ ♥ ] — Felicity stares intently at the cookbook in her hands, examining every single word of the blueberry pie recipe over and over again. Why? Because she was baking with Dia, and wanted to make sure nothing went wrong. 

It was... surprisingly difficult, being the one making the food instead of just eating it, but it wasn’t anything she hasn’t done before. She and Tina often baked pastries together. To... varying results, mind you, but that wasn’t really the point here.

Aside from the few times she would spot the other woman during her visits to see Tina at the Pelago Express, Felicity didn’t cross paths with Dia much. She had known the younger girl since her school years, and had taken on a bit of a sisterly role during that time. Because of the work and subsequent travels that eventually pulled her away from Leuda, the two of them had fallen out of touch.

But Felicity had every intention to remedy that, now that she was back on the island for good. And what better way to bond than over a fun baking session? Food had a magical way of bringing people together. 

“So, do we have the blueberries?” She asks Dia, glancing up from the cookbook.

Conclusion: Taking the five books with them, Dia entrusts them to Gwen and to Arcadia Explorer’s Guild. To leave them here in the island would risk them being stolen. And so, to immortalize them and their story, they are protected at the guild and are advertised to the public. If they wish to see Storyteller’s Keep and live the experience each book holds, they may ask a Guild member to accompany them to the island to unlock the dome and place the books in the pedestal. They might have accidentally removed the magic from one book (blue book), but the four others were still locked-- as they should be.

The Guild was entrusted with the duty to make sure those books would remain locked and accessible for all that wish to see the stories made by a loving father for his daughter.

And the photo they acquired from the first book? It’s put up in display in the guild, along the storyteller’s journal. So all that wish to know their tale may see the love shared between the family of three.

The books they salvaged from the burnt house, on the other hand, were preserved and restored, now displayed at Clove Villa. The illusion books and notes were sent along to Arcadia Explorer’s Guild together with the personal belongings of the family. But the novels they have collected remained at Clove Villa.
