"Anything yet?" Megumi blinks to hear this but he looks from his cell phone. He didn't know what was going on, giving the thought that something might have happened. Gojo was told Kisho still was on his on going mission to find the cursed items that came from that party. However, it leaves another wondering what was going on. He did have some help along the way so it was something.

Right now, Megumi was told by Gojo to check on him but he was not answering the text messages he sent a while ago. "I don't think so. I can try to call him and see if he can answer the phone instead. Or maybe something is effecting the signal."

"I guess that's possible but give it a shot." Yuji said. Megumi nods and goes to do that, seeing Kisho's number and hits speed dial and waits for him to find something.

"I'm sure they are fine you two..just call them and we will see their fine." Nobara said. Miko agrees hoping they were alright. She wanted to go with them but she was still on stand by to recover.

"S..same here..." she mutters seeing Megumi still waiting for Kisho to pick up.

That shiny duo post made me think. Pearl always carries the weight of her win and what people think of her. She'll always be scary and crazy and vicious to others, even if she doesn't want to be, even if she was never like that in the first place

And you have Gem. Her first episode in the entire series was titled 'I have a reputation' and she spent the entire season being feared as a fighter and treated as a leader. She never asked to be the leader of an army of death. It's all too much

But Gem learned to lean into these expectations. She threatens people all the time, she has honestly weird views on alliances and control (when she said Scott had to control Pearl because they were teammates??). And she wants to see Pearl do the same. Pearl is supposed to be scary, why isn't she killing anyone? That's not how you survive in this series. If you're red, you have to kill. If there's expectations for you, you have to meet them. That's how you survive.

Gem won't let go of Secret Life because that's what taught her to be like she's expected to be. She has a reputation. Everyone's doing the same, right?

And she expected Pearl to be loyal to her. Why would she betray Gem? That's not fair. That's not the game she learned to play

Gem knows what Pearl should be. Pearl has a reputation. And Pearl can never let go of Double Life for as long as people think Scarlet Pearl is the real her

This is related to one of my fic ideas, but all you need to know is that Bradley and Jake have four kids that Mav didn't know about until he saw them all together first day in the Hard Deck because he and Bradley haven't been talking

When they come back from the mission, they don't talk talk for a while, there's so much happening in the med bay and then Jake, Bradley's husband Mav hadn't even known existed three weeks ago, is always with him.

Then Ice is in the hospital, still, and Bradley comes to visit but they don't really talk either. They don't ask about the kids, but Bradley himself volunteers that they wouldn't be able to visit the hospital anyway because children are not allowed on the wards.

Finally, Ice comes home and Bradley and Mav talk.

And then, the next afternoon, Bradley comes with their two youngest, a seventeen-month-old baby boy called PJ and two a half-year-old girl named Ronnie. And they each get to hold a baby.

It's something else.

The babies are cute enough that Mav can almost ignore they're half Hangman.

The real surprise, though, is the twins.

Tommy and Nicky (no, Mav is not jealous that all Bradley's father figures but him have a kid named after them, not a lot, anyway, he gets that Bradley was really angry with him) are almost six, identical to the smallest detail, clothes and hairstyles included, and somehow Bradley, Hangman and Jake's mom (who takes care of the kids when the boys work) still can tell them apart.

They are loud and bouncy and so energetic and yet, the minute Bradley walks them through his front door, both the girls both hide behind Hangman's — their other dad, his Bradley's husband, Mav still can't get over it — legs, so shy.

And Mav haven't been around kids in so long, he doesn't know what to do.

And it takes a minute but eventually one of them — he really can't tell them apart — asks, 'who is that?' and Bradley wriggles her onto his knee and pointing a bit at Mav, says, "This is your grandpa, baby. you think you can try saying hi?"

And Mav, no matter how hard he tries, can't blink away the tears.

Because it only settled just now — that this all means, Bradley forgiving him, talking to them again, inviting them to his house, introducing them to his family, to his kids; this all means Mav is a grandpa.

(Mav cries again, weeks later, when he finds out PJ stands for Peter Jacob — even though he still can't believe Jacob 'Hangman' Seresin is the other father of his grandchildren and his son-in-law.)

I just realized something and I need to fume for a second.

Ok so we all remember Mr. Puzzles' dad's reaction when Little Puzzles told him about wanting to own an amusement park:

But then he says this immediately after:

At first I was confused because I thought these two lines sounded contradictory. Like, you just said his dream of owning an amusement park was childish, but wait, now it's suddenly this elite, respectable, super-aspirational thing that's only possible with "CrEaTiVe ViSiOn," which is apparently such a high bar that Little Puzzles will "never have it?" You get what I'm saying?

But then it hit me: he's bullcrapping and 100% aware he's bullcrapping. He doesn't care about "creative vision" or think that highly of it, BUT he knows Little Puzzles DOES care about it. He cares about it a lot. And he uses it to present his shooting down of his dream in a way he knows Little Puzzles will understand and take to heart. Even if he himself doesn't share the mindset that gives it its bite because it's what'll get Little Puzzles to shut up. (And maybe this is me being overanalytical, but I feel like you can even see it in his pose when he says it. Like he's doing the "waving your hands in a sarcastically whimsical way" move, you know the one. That one line just oozes condescension.) Like it wasn't enough to voice his distaste for Puzzles' dream; he had to make him feel bad for even having it just to really cement it. Like he learned to speak Little Puzzles' language just enough to tell him his dreams were stupid.

And it makes me HATE THIS MAN EVEN MORE.
