What a strange thing 'love' was. Not much different than their fans, Kerem knew almost Claude, but something kept pulling him in for some reason. Just that 99% of fans didn't have access to what Kerem did. Perhaps it was somewhat due to their nature. But anyone knew what Claude, and anyone from Deadly Extravaganza were, then they would know better to keep their distance. "Rum sounds good." They called over the barman with a sign and ordered for the two of them.

The sudden coldness and distance is troubling. Kerem’s throat feels tight and he wishes he never opened his mouth in the first place. He feels embarrassed and weird but doesn’t want to show it in front of them. So, he quickly decides, he’s going to play it off cool, like the conversation didn’t really affect him, at all. “Yeah,” he agrees eventually and shrugs. “You’re probably right.” Casual, calm, collected, even though he’s avoiding looking at Claude. “Did you want to order any drinks? I was thinking rum, maybe…”

Not because they were scared of something like ghosts, but because they much preferred much more luxurious places where everybody would kiss the ground they walked on. But they needed to retrieve something and Kali didn't fall for their trick to come and get it for them. "Isn't it other humans you should be more scared of, though?" After all, ghosts only did something if people just asked for trouble. Humans on the other hand--- But maybe Claude thought that because they weren't affected by those things. Who would think of messing with something as ancient as them?

Aoi Futaba: A trans woman who started identifying and presenting femininely sometime before the start of the series. Repeatedly struggles to find a boyfriend who will accept her.

Nao: A trans woman who started identifying and presenting femininely sometime before the start of the series. Reveals this to the protagonist early in the story.

After living for as long as they have, who could really blame Claude for wanting to change things up ever so often and have fun? Who knew how humanity would last? they seemed to be doing a good enough job of destroying themselves without much help, and might as well enjoy the remaining time with the few good things that were created and indulge. Plus, who could stop them from mingling with other supernatural creatures? Their own band members? Ha, as if! Nine was cute, really cute. So nobody was going to stop Claude from giving him their attention; they had already set their eyes on him. They reached out with one hand to cup the fox's face, fingers ever so slightly squishing his cheeks. "I do like a good challenge. Can you do that?"

To put it bluntly, Claude hates the rest of Thedas. He's never left Nevarra without having to deal with some trifling nonsense, or nearly getting his head cut off. Insufferable louts, the lot of them.

So what, exactly, is he doing in a seedy bar in Ferelden, very far from home? That's a great question, and one that he's been pondering for the duration of his "conversation" with a drunken fool asking inappropriate questions about... certain activities one does with the dead in Nevarra. They never get tired of this, do they?

" I might ask you the same things about your giant mutts, " he grumbles after a few minutes of poking and prodding from the man. He'd been rather polite up until this point, all things considered.

The man, aghast at the very thought, stands and tries to take a hard swing. Claude dodges it easily, and it sends the man directly into the table. The ale he'd been nursing goes flying, and Claude sighs. " Are you done making a fool of yourself? " The man clambers back up and tries for another punch, this one barely grazing Claude's shoulder.

He looks over at the witnesses of this pathetic display with a tired expression. " Would any of you like to claim this buffoon? "
