It's Always Sunny Headcanons

Frank's forgotten Lake House is being foreclosed by the bank so the gang make the trip up to clear out the house, Mac and Charlie put an inflatable raft on the lake and promptly lose the oars and are stranded in the middle of the lake as the inflatable slowly deflates. Dennis and Dee accidentally lock themselves in the creepy basement which served as Franks sex dungeon, obviously Dennis is weirdly intrigued by the room and wants to take the devices back to his apartment and Dee has to endure Dennis' slow descent into horny madness.

The gang take a trip to Vegas, Frank is involved in the booze and strippers side of things and doesn't realise the strippers are actually drag queens and vehemently argues that they're babes. Charlie doesn't even know what gambling is but wins bank, is brought into a back room by the casino owner because they think he's cheating and is threatened with a beating. Mac, Dee and Dennis go on a bender and have hangover esc shenanigans, they also think one of them had sex with Dee again.

Dee gets an abortion, Mac berates her and tries to convince her not to do it based on his religious beliefs, Frank is against it because he thinks having a kid run around the bar would be great for their schemes (something about how often they need someone to climb through vents but can't fit), Dennis is against it because he wants to use the baby to make moves on women and get them to think he's a sensitive guy because the mother abandoned him and the baby. Charlie doesn't know what an abortion is and Mac teaches him a very wrong and religious version on it to get him to agree with him.

Dennis somehow makes his way onto a love island type of reality show, he scares the other contestants due to his serial killer vibe and the women see him as too old, making him question everything about himself. Mac and Dee are very jealous they weren't invited onto the show and tries to force their way on, interrupting other people's interviews. Frank wants to see the women in bikini's and also tries to force his way in, Charlie is just along for the ride.

Mac brings the gang to his church, they force their way into the choir and derail masses when they sprinkle in Boyz to Men songs.

Charlie buys a tattoo gun from amazon for shits and gigs, the gang day drinks at the bar and give each other tattoos, you best believe it is not a sanitary process.

Frank and Charlie have worn each others underwear before, not on accident, Charlie suggested it to understand each others world.

Anyone thinking Charlie’s sisters and how they fit into the Kelley family dynamic, cause I'm having so many thoughts.

Like first off I've been thinking that they’re twins this whole time, but it's not actually confirmed. I think twins make the most sense since they're treated as a unit. Their age also isn't confirmed, but my guess is that Bunny and Candy are around 32 years old. Mostly off the fact that they look around 14 in Charlie Got Molested which puts Charlie around 15 when they're born. Even though they look younger than 32 in Frank Shoots, I don't think its unreasonable to assume they got botox or fillers.

I have a whole head cannon now that Bunny and Candy's dad talked a big game about taking care of Bonnie and the twins when she first got pregnant, but ended up being completely unreliable. He definitely didn’t move in with Bonnie or take any interest in Charlie. I think it makes sense if their dad would occasionally swing by and take them out for a weekend, or even get on a parenting kick for a month then dump them back on Bonnie when he gets tired of it. The girls being in and out of the house would explain the fact that they’re barely ever mentioned.

I also think it makes sense that Uncle Jack would move back into the house to help take care of Bonnie and the girls since the dad is so unreliable, and adds another layer to why Charlie hates them. Even if Charlie was older than the other times Uncle Jack stayed with them (I interpret the situation in cannon as Uncle Jack moving in and out a lot starting when Charlie was very young) and might have tried to stand up for himself, asking Jack to leave would mean being the only person in the house to care for his pregnant mentally ill mother which I'm sure was the last thing Charlie couldn't and wouldn't be able to handle. That kind of situation really lays the ground for some heavy resentment. On Bunny and Candy's end, I feel like Bonnie was a very absent parent to them which probably lead them to resent Charlie who Bonnie very vocally loved, even if it was not in a way that actually helped Charlie.

Mac getting angry about Dee and Dennis going on welfare because he likely actually had to be on welfare growing up and his speech to them about how it’s for people who actually need it ruins me

I love It’s Always Sunny for so many reasons but the main one is that this weird ass fan base could never come up with anything crazier than what’s already cannon. Frank and Charlie wade through the sewers naked nightly, Dee plays video games w teenagers on her off time, and Dennis put a vibrator in Mac’s ass to manipulate and control him. I will never be that creative and insane. good job sunny.

Catholic mac iasip headcannons

Mac goes to church every Sunday at 11am, except when he's hungover, which is most Sundays.

Mac has several small pendants of Jesus and Mary hidden eveeywhere in the apartment including Dennis's room (to keep Evil spirits away)

Mac avoids going to confession because the guilt he feels for his sins are too much and it's hard for him to say them out loud.

Mac's favorite Saint is St. George cuz he was badass and slayed a dragon.

Sometimes Mac stole from the donation box with the candles you can light because he was really tight on money and he figured God would forgive him

Omg the birthday thing never occurred to me either!! That would've been such a good thing for the show to have shown us lol

exactly !! the fact that the closest thing we have to a birthday ep for any of them is charlie kelly king of the rats (which i just choose to watch as a charlie birthday ep anyways) is truly tragic, but the missed possibilities for a Trash Twins Birthday Special™ are just. sigh. at least we have bullet point lists on tumblr

- they somehow both forget eachother's birthdays. both of them are outraged at the other because "IT'S THE SAME AS YOURS". the irony is completely lost on both of them

- they end up essentially throwing a party for themselves at the bar, which frank spares no energy making fun of. again, grasping irony is not a strength of the reynolds family

- they get into it and end up seperating the shared party into individual parties, with dee on one side of the bar and dennis on the other. chaos ensues, as they both try to wrangle guests that a) are the twelve friends they have between the two of them that they, for the most part, share and b) have made it very clear that they do not give a shit about the twins' fight.

- eventually they bond over a shared irritation with the lack of respect that everyone has for their Very Serious Rivalry and agree to a truce.

- mac and charlie have been pooling on gifts for them basically forever (mac is in charge of dennis's, charlie of dee's, and then they put both their names on both of them). mac has had his for eight months, and charlie does not think about it until 1:30 pm on the actual day. he goes to the mall, claiming he's "got it all figured out", and mac does not believe him, so he goes with him to chaperone

- charlie is VERY insistent that the right gift for dee is something, like, totally absurd. a tire iron or melon baller or something else completely out of left field. mac, convinced he's an idiot, grows increasingly frustrated with his bullshit, but at the end of the day is just kind of like "whatever, who cares, just get the damn thing and let's go". they give it to dee and mac is wincing the whole time expecting her to flip her lid about them getting her something shitty and weird, but she opens the package and is like "!!! you guys !!!! a tire iron ???? omg <<33 how did you know i wanted this ??" and charlie's like "hey idk i guess we're just really good friends"

- dennis is a total bitch about his gift, before there's some sort of distraction and the camera lingers on him smiling down at it as the gang is distracted.
