you’ll never forget his first day–the receptionist was walking him through the workspace, introducing him to everyone, and explaining their roles. felix, a genuine ray of sunshine on that gloomy monday morning, smiled and waved at everybody with pure enthusiasm :’-)

when the receptionist introduced you, felix pointed at the mug on your desk and commented on how cute he thought it was ! you could practically hear the exclamation points in his voice when he spoke :,-)

later in the day, you noticed he was struggling with the coffee machine how rude of the coffee machine

you offered to help–though admittedly, you didn’t know much about it either–and he was so so grateful someone was being this kind to him 

like he actually was so touched he ended up telling his friends about it that night :,-(

but anyways back to you and felix vs. the coffee machine

eventually you did get it working…you just pressed different buttons a ridiculous number of times until felix’s hot chocolate came out properly

once his mug was full, felix cheered and high-fived you, promising to pay you back one day for your service

you assured him that he doesn’t owe you anything and that you’re happy he isn’t defeated by the coffee machine on his first day

that led you two into a conversation about what it’s like to work here, the do’s and don’t’s of the office, the cool people, tips and tricks for boring meetings, and so on

it’s so cute that everyone is jealous but they wouldn’t dare interrupt because they know for a FACT that you’re felix’s favorite

aside from being your personal baker, felix loves to play little pranks on you in the office

they’re super harmless–i’m talking pranks like leaving stickers in random places around your workspace, so you can transfer them to your laptop or water bottle whenever you find them–but he is THRILLED every time you get a surprised look on your face as a result of his antics

there’s no doubt in your mind that felix was behind it, so you look over to where he’s sitting and he’s just staring at you like >:^)

while he’s too far away for you to hear him, you know that he’s doing his classic little heh heh and plotting his next attack :,-)

felix gets so invested that he helps you to organize everything and workshops all possible setups before you both decide on the best one though honestly he’s more concerned about it being the optimal arrangement than you are lol

after your new desk decorations are complete, felix proudly takes a picture of you at your redesigned workstation

when you make that your profile pic for your work chatting platform, felix just about faints from happiness

felix, though known as being happy-go-lucky, is far more in-tune with your emotions than you realize

if you come in sleep-deprived, felix is the first one to ask you if you would like coffee/tea/a pick-me-up

when you’re feeling stressed due to an upcoming deadline or having a pile of work upon your return from vacation, felix stays late with you to prioritize all your tasks so you have a clear game plan

he’s also always, always, always reminding you to take breaks !!

it’s a mini tradition for you two to do desk stretches together :-( like you just look at each other from across the workspace and do the same stretches while making funny faces at each other and holding back all your giggles :-((((

activities and conversations with felix become so embedded in your daily routine that you can’t imagine how you got through the workday before he started here

one quiet afternoon when you two are hanging out in the breakroom, you ask him why he takes such good care of you

without missing a beat, felix smiles and answers, “i promised you i’d pay you back for helping me out with the coffee machine on my first day, didn’t i?”

all you can manage to do is smile and i’d be tearing up if i were you because, just by stepping into the breakroom and offering a hand, you met the brightest, sweetest, most loving man on the planet

so I can't talk about this on twitter without risking life and limb with some crazyass fucking right wing conspiracy theorists and elite-brained condescending assholes showing up in my replies, but right now I'm basically in the direct eye path for hurricane milton here in central florida and it's sooooooooooooo much to process and anticipate, I have been struggle bussing for a few days. like not sleeping well and having difficulty eating much more than nibbles. it sucks! it's terrible

we're far enough inland from the coast that we aren't in a flood or surge zone, but I've got low-key trauma from the trees that fell all around us during Ian in 2022 and almost getting nailed by a limb falling on my brother's car. worst nightmare is definitely a 100yo oak tree coming through the roof in the middle of the night. it happens! I just don't want it to happen to us. we've got plywood boarded up over the big picture windows but all the smaller bedroom windows are uncovered and I just hope it's enough to make a difference. the storm won't make landfall until probably 12-2am Thursday or thereabouts and waiting all day for it to really ramp up is going to be. sickening. considering we'll probably lose power a few hours beforehand and then have to sit through the screaming wind and house shaking all night in total dark

I have supplies, candles and batteries and food and water, but the cell towers will absolutely go down and we'll probably be without phone data for 3-4 days minimum, depending on how fast they can get them up and running. because even if they get one tower up, everybody is trying to access it at the same time with their data and getting a signal is like fighting for your life lmao, ANYWAYS

you may not hear from me for a minute, not that people regularly check in on me over here as opposed to twitter or whatever. I'm sure I'll be fine, even if our house and cars take some damage, and I know for sure our wooden fence in the back yard is a goner. but I'll check back in when I can.

Tzuyu x M/F Reader - "A Depressing Resemblance"

I'm back for the nth time lmao. Yeah, college life is SO stressful and tiring. I couldn't get to build up interest on writing on my free time because anytime I would just rather use my day off by taking a long rest from all the hectic school tasks to accomplish. Anyways, I know I said from the previous Chaeyoung fic that it would be the last one-shot for Set 5 lineup? I changed my mind. THIS is the last one. I had to make it... uhh organized, I guess? Like, you know... I don't want to just end it off right away to Chaeyoung for Set 5 unlike what I've been doing from the previous line-ups where Tzuyu who is the last member based on their age order (yeah, i'm depending my line-up pattern from their age order) should originally be the last one to close the line-up. So yeah, the Set 5 INDEED ENDS HERE. For Set 6, I'm scrapping off the Tzuyu fic of my idea and I 'm going to move Cry For Me PART 3 after Momo's (which means PART 3 and 4 will be next at each other) so that would make me start the line-up with Nayeon's in usual. Basically, there's gonna be only one Tzuyu solo fic for Set 6 and that will be the "Red Thread Of Fate" which was suggested by ShaShaSha029. Again, I deeply apologize that I'm uploading very slow now for this book. Being a college/engineering student is very difficult, guys. I can't promise anymore that I'm going to do better on releasing works, but I can assure yall that I will not stop and I will finish this book in the future. Enjoy reading guys!

Walking back and locking yourself alone inside your office on campus was a typical habit of yours to do every day. You couldn't help it either, as long as you found all of the professors who taught the subjects, especially the major ones, to be lame.

Brilliance might be a curse for you to possess, but you wouldn't deny at least that it does save you at a point where you need to escape from something you wouldn't be in.

Your hand stopped from rotating the doorknob, just as your heart ached as you had that thought again.

The thought belongs to one of the biggest what-ifs you will ever carry for the rest of your life.

What would you be right now if that brilliance of yours had assisted you to make on time and save someone rather than yourself?

Exhaling deeply to regain your composure, you unlocked the door and stepped in immediately.

You dropped your bag on the couch and went near the bulletin board of your club's room.

It was clean; there were not many cases you had to check to place yourself in enjoyment and impress everybody with your remarkable deductive skills.

But there was always a thing that would distract you amongst the rest—nothing to seem care about anything once you got a glimpse of it.

It happens everytime, whether you do it intentionally or not.

No matter what, it still remains the same.

It's hard to look.

You stared at the display of a photo of your club featuring you, who seemed completely united, even facing the other direction instead of the camera with your grumpy face.

To your side was a girl. She was your co-member... Well, technically, your only partner and member of your "club" since you were known to be a terror, cold individual around the campus, all of the students except her had the interest to join alongside your student-detective role. But most importantly... she was the one you adored a lot. She was the only exception, and truly did prove you right from the day you met her.

Her smile was very bright; it could've been like her future if it weren't for that to happen. She could've still been here with you, ready to solve mysterious cases and chasing culprits with you.

You flinched as the reality of it tugged at your heart painfully again.

That was the last photo you've taken with her, and that was on the same day you'd lost her afterwards.

To quit hurting yourself too much, you went on to be preoccupied with other things to get busy with. In your desk were some papers to finish, including the main case you're currently investigating which seems like the truth is about to set free sooner now that you've captured the mastermind's greatest ally.

As you were reviewing all the photos and other informations regarding the case, your door was received with knocks.

"Come in." You yelled from the inside.

The door opens, revealing someone that put you again in pleading for mercy.

Mercy that she would stop bothering you anymore.

"What is it this time, Sally?" You asked her without much of energy in your voice.

"Any updates within my application? It's been like days now since I applied." She said as she plants down her bag on your couch as if she owned the place with you.

"Wh- huh?" You clenched your face in confusion. "Did you really listened to what I've said for the past days or you're just doing it all intentionally to mess around with me?"

"What did I do? I was just asking."

"Sally..." You paused as you slammed your papers on the table to try holding your temper down as you were about to get mad again. "For how many times, I already told you that your application is rejected. What's in there that's so hard for you to understand?!"

"Ohhhh..." Sally reacted, gasping her mouth in fascination. It was then her expression transformed back into a serious one. "Wait, you sure?"

You slumped your back on the chair in defeat. Rubbing your hands on your face in frustration, you squinted your eyes and furrowed your eyebrows as you stare at her fiercely.

"Just... what do you want? What you need for me to make you stop?" You said wearily. "I have no time to play with your games, Sally."

"Nothing more. I just want to be on your detective club. That's it." Sally shrugged as she looked around the room. Her smile became forced for a while at something before she returns her focus at you.

"Well guess what, Sally. Hate to break it to you but whatever you do, even if you wont stop annoying me with your application, I won't give it to you." You make things clear to her. "You are not qualified to be in this club. Now please, I'm begging you. Get out."

Sally stared at you for a moment before she pouted and picked up her bag. "Guess you need some more convincing. I'll you show then."

"Wait, hey!-"

She closed the door and left the room, rudely interrupting your complaint that was about to come. You groaned in irritation as you ran out of ways to get rid of that woman.

It's kind of ironic that you both don't even know why she is so desperate to join your team and why she introduced herself when it was during the time that you were still grieving.

The scenarios have made you feel like this isn't even a coincidence anymore. Something strange must be behind all of this.

Later at night, you were reporting all of the insights you'd constructed to your senior police inspector, who is assigned to your campus' main security and protection team, when you received a call from an anonymous number.

"Hello hello, have I interrupted you with your silly job, YN?" The voice of a violent cruel person has got your attention to be in complete alert.

You quickly stood up from your seat and made a distance to excuse yourself.

"Yishin? What's with the sudden call?"

"Just wanna show you something~" he turned the call into a video one, and what showed into your screen had you tremble in fear.

"No. W-what are you doing there? W-why are you spying on h-"

"Karma is a bitch, YN. Look's like this girl's been so interested in joining your rotten club that already lost its charm ever since your precious charming girlfriend gone forever that she couldn't stop coming in your office."

He said as the video continues to record Sally who seemed like she was writing something on her notes while sitting down on one of the steps in front of the building.

"You took out my informant, and I'll give it you. You probably did that in return for what I've done to you, but here's what I had understand very clear about you. You're stupid and dumb, YN. This fight between us is far from over. It's like a cycle, on and on and on, and payback's going to be on repeat not until one of us gives up and simply drop dead.

So... what do you say, should we play a game by losing your next partner in justice?"

"YOU SON OF A BITCH, LEAVE HER ALONE ON THIS!" You clenched your fist tighter on your phone as your screamed, shocking everyone on the police station.

"Oh yeah, you're going to succumb to her desperation right, hmm?" He laughed maniacally as he watches her start to fix up her bag. "Oh come on, don't tell me you won't! You've always been so soft whenever it comes to her."

"I'm going to go there, so I can finally end this once in for all, you fucker." You blatantly warned him. "It's time that you finally came out of your hiding, but I expected better from you to face me rather than putting innocent life here at stake."

"Well, that's what you've been so wrong about me, YN." He teased you. "I never play fair." He ended the call, leaving you in a panic state as you hurriedly returned to the desk.

"INSPECTOR, WE HAVE TO MOVE FAST AND GO BACK TO THE SCHOOL. SOME STUDENT THERE IS ON DANGER BECAUSE OF STRYKER. PLEASE, CALL SOME BACK UPS NOW."

"On it."

You went into your car and drove fast into the campus where you searched for the building that you've last seen Sally at.

Fortunately, you got there pretty much on time for you to locate Sally, but in your surprise, what you've seen had you in suspicion.

Sally was stomping Yishin also known as Stryker on the stomach as his hands were tied in the back using a duct tape. His face were beaten up badly, but his craziness won't allow him to stop laughing at his pain and defeat.

"I knew it, I knew there's something interesting about you! But this wasn't what I have in mind-"

Stryker was shut up by Sally who punched him back and forth in the face. "Then now you know, because you deserve this. I hold vengeance, I'm going to hit you with it and have you feel my wrath of punishment."

Sally plastered another duct tape into his mouth before she turned around and see you standing, watching her in disbelief.

"What's going on..." You breathily said. "How could you do this by yourself?"

"Hey YN! Look what I have here. How's my performance? Am I qualified now?"

You stepped forward at her and eyed her sharply. "Tell me, who the hell are you?"

"Didn't I gave you my biodata-"

"Quit spinning my words and don't give me any bullshit. Answer me properly, WHY DO YOU KEEP ON PESTERING ME?!"

"Can you please stop yelling? Why are you even so mad about me, I haven't even done anything wrong to you?!" She returned. You turned around face her away as you took some time to breathe out.

"I just wanted to be part of your club, join you on exploring cases, I even helped you finish one, what's your problem?! There's something that's holding you back, why couldn't you just share it to me!"

"IT'S YOU! THE PROBLEM IS YOU!" Your voice cracked as you snapped at Sally and glanced back angrily at her, making her flinch. "I don't even know you and I don't like you being around me, especially when you're... wearing the same face as my friend who passed away months ago!" "On top of that, you also started to act the same way how she applied for my club too!" you revealed to her.

You pulled out your phone and opened it, revealing your wallpaper with a picture of your girl, captured by you when you decided to sneakily take one because she looked so cute thinking deeply while solving cases with you.

You gave it to Sally who hold the phone as she looked at your wallpaper. You began to cry as all the emotions took over you when you felt you had to reminisce the memories she left for you.

"Her name's Chou Tzuyu. She was just like the same age as yours, I don't even know how it's possible that you look exactly like her." you got choked in your words as you traced Sally's figure in bitter amazement. To describe Sally's appearance, she sports a curvy black long hair, a thicker jawline, and more well-built compared to Tzuyu who has straight blonde long hair, round face structure with less visible jawline, and slimmer figure. The rest were literal similarities of them together, speaking of being skillful, beautiful, adorable, tall, smart and lively but can be very intimidating when gets serious and many more.

"She died 7 months ago, because of that bastard." You glared at Stryker who is now unconscious. "I didn't want her to get involved too much about his case knowing how dangerous it is. He killed a lot of students whether a part of his scheme or not.

But she insisted. She wanted to stay and help me, because she didn't want me either to be in danger and get stressed out with this along with the academics. I just... let her because I didn't wanna make her sad but..."

You sobbed between your words as the flashbacks ran into your mind, starting from the time your feelings bloomed for the first time because of Tzuyu's undeniable charm.

"I just wanted to protect her because I love her. I grew in love for my partner. I couldn't help it, she's the exact opposite as me, she's beautiful and very lovely. I never had the courage to tell her because I was scared that she wouldn't like me back."

Going back, she invested herself more on the case, to the point that Stryker and his allies started to target her as she collected too much infos from them.

Then one night, I came into her dorm because I wanted to ask her out to eat with me outside to loosen ourselves a bit with the case,

But I found her instead, her door was slightly opened..."

You recalled as you entered her room and what greeted you was too devastating and sickening of you to endure.

You had to witness the cold dead body of Tzuyu laying down on her bed with her own pool of blood. She had a knife stabbed in her stomach, with a note saying that "she has seen too much.

As the police arrived, you had to help them bring Tzuyu to the ambulance as you joined them there to have her get treated. Unfortunately, your prayers didn't worked as she was pronounced dead on arrival from lost of much blood and organ damage.

You collapsed at the hallway in torment as you witness Tzuyu lost her life forever. You realized that you won't be able to hear her soft voice that keeps you awake everyday, her laughs and smile that brightens up your mood, and her presence that got you moving with enthusiasm.

Tzuyu showed the colors in your personality, and now that she's gone, it's like your entire self had gotten back to dull and dark, even worse than before.

Before ofcourse, she was the love of your life, the girl of your admiration, and the only one who makes you feel alive.

It took you time to heal, even halting your investigations against Stryker organization for 3 months before you returned as all the memories with her you revisited had you encouraged that you will bring her the justice she deserves once you figured out that Stryker is still on the roll on unleashing havoc around the campus.

Your words were cut off when you saw that Sally started to cry too, sniffing as she wiped her tears while she stares at Tzuyu's picture. "What's with the tears?"

"I'm sorry... it m-must've been... very tough for you." She said in her shaky voice. "I know because I went the same as yours. It hurts to lost a loved one. Even now I still couldn't wrapped it up in my head that my only sister is gone."

You sprung up your head as you looked at her in astonishment. Sally was staring at you, with her dreadful eyes.

"What did you just said?"

"Tzuyu is my twin sister. My plans of joining your club were true; I wanted you to believe me, but I hope this time it will get you to consider mine," she said as she began to clear her throat to speak out her explanation. You were trying to process it in your head as the thought of Sally being another replica and a depressing resemblance to Tzuyu turns out it wasn't just like that for the entire time as the revelations led to tie up everything to make sense that the reason was that they were indeed connected and related to each other in blood and flesh.

"I was studying at the other university. One day, she went on my room, giving me a favor. She told me about you and this case of hers that she's been solving with you."

"Oh god."

"She asked me to get to know you someday and in case of what happens, I'll be the one who'll replace her." she said as you shivered. "Do you know why she wanted it to happen, YN?

She wanted me to continue taking care of you. She doesn't want you to be alone. She wanted me to keep on protecting you, YN."

You sobbed heavily on the ground as you fell on your knees and covered your face with your palm. Sally kneeled beside you and hugged you tightly while caressing your back.

"I was worried for her, but I knew I couldn't stop her. And so, I accepted her offer because I always want to do what's best for Tzuyu. As long as my sister is happy. And when the tragedy happened, I had no choice but to transfer here, search for you and come here with my face that resembles a lot like Tzuyu, like the girl you admire. I didn't intend to spook you or hurt you further, I shouldn't have played with you more but I already had the culprit in my hands at that given time too.

You think you're the only one in hellbent taking him down, you're not. I wanted to give my sister justice too, and that's why I want to help you. I'm deeply sorry again, YN."

You wiped your tears away as you looked at Sally closely. "Day and night, I still can't forgive myself for what happened. Tzuyu won't be dead because of me. I failed to save her."

"Stop it, YN, Tzuyu didn't want it either to happen, but now it did and it's unstoppable. It hurts but we have to move on and go forward. Do you think Tzuyu would like seeing you drowning in grief and guilt blaming yourself for something that you haven't caused at all?"

She went to comfort you, wrapping you in her arms for a gentle embrace. "For Tzuyu. We will have each other's backs from now on,. Please, move on. It's harder to stay."

You nodded as you sniffed and eased your heavy breathing. "I-I understand now. I'm sorry if I was being too harsh. I just... couldn't stand doing the same mistake again."

"Don't worry, YN. It's been a rough time for you to contain it all. Let it out on me."

You and Sally stayed for a while, holding each other in solace to finally free yourselves together from the burden of grieving Tzuyu's passing.

"So... am I qualified now?" Sally turned to look at you as she joked.

You chuckled as you nodded your head. "Yes."

"Well, finally I did it." Sally released a long sigh. "Thank you and it's nice to meet you properly this time, YN."

"Me too, Sally."

The police finally came, they arrested Stryker and the inspector congratulated the two of you while he tried to convince himself that it wasn't really Tzuyu that he is seeing, but rather her twin sibling.

You and Sally are sitting at the back of the police car, resting as you observed the police team going around the place as part of the investigation.

"Oh, I forgot." Sally reached out to her pocket, revealing your phone. She handed it to you as she opened it, showing your wallpaper of Tzuyu again.

"Thanks."

Sally watched you look at Tzuyu admirably. She smiled at how mellow your eyes went as you traced Tzuyu's features. You truly did loved her sister a lot. She would probably liked it if she witnessed Tzuyu being with you earlier.

"YN.

"What is it?

Sally roams around the pitch black orbs of your eyes, a simple curve formed within her lips. "Tzuyu loves you too. A lot. The way she mentions your name to me and shares her stories being with you, it's pleasantly different."

"Yeah, now I know."You looked at her as your eyes became watery and nodded with a tightlipped smile. "I just wish I had the chance to tell her mine."

"If your fate did, I bet you two will be fun." Sally guessed as she smirked at you.

You lowered your head and smiled sheepishly as you muttered. "Like you wouldn't imagine." "I look forward to get to know you more, YN." Sally stated as she daggered her sight equal to your level then proceeded to playfully bump your shoulder. "So am I, Sally." You patted her head in which she giggled, exactly like Tzuyu would react at your sweet gesture. It did kinda made you miss her again, but it'll take some time for you to completely heal.

You meant what you said. With Sally to accompany you through everything, no instances that she'll leave you staying in the dark anymore, it's confirmed that you'll learn to maintain yourself to be calm and create a closer relationship beside her.

In return, you'll be there for her while she continues what Tzuyu has always desired to do for you.

okay so i've been mulling over modern AU tadfools for a while and this is what i got so far

Lae'zel is a skater lesbian (and super autistic lmao), nobody really knows what her whole deal is but they are pretty sure she was raised by some kind of doomsday cult

she's flatmates with Karlach, who is really into MMA and partying it up now that she finally moved out of her old flat where everyone else were just the most fucked up assholes in existence, everyone exclusively calls it "hell" when talking about it

Astarion is the most flamboyant catty twink in existence and currently crashing on their couch because he's been kind of broke since he left his much older toxic boyfriend Cazador (who won't stop bothering him on Grindr)

Shadowheart is the nu goth girl who lives across the hall from them and is really into crystals and witchcraft/paganism, Lae has a crush on her but doesn't know how to deal with it so she's just really mean all the time

Wyll met Karlach when she almost put his lights out in a drunk brawl at a frat party but now they are besties and he constantly hangs around their flat, his father is a politician and he is dating Mizora, who is his dad's lawyer and everybody is telling him to break up with her because she's toxic af but for some reason he just can't bring himself to do it

Gale lives in the same building and never goes outside ever since his ex broke up with him but he met the rest because his cat slipped outside and he had to catch her again and Karlach had picked her up and brought her home because she thought it was so cute

Halsin is an old hippie guy who is the pot dealer of the whole party and constantly tells everyone how great Woodstock was whether they asked or not (they did not)

Jaheira is the teacher of Karlach's MMA group and comes over occasionally because hanging with them "reminds her of her wild twenties" and "makes her feel young again", sometimes she brings her buddy Minsc who is the life of the party

dunno about Minthara she always died in my playthroughs up until now so can't really say much about her

I've got this one multiple times so I'm going to keep answering this until I run out, which may never happen. I think it's fundamentally less interesting to me personally when the canon suggestions of necro and Gortash's experiments don't factor in to their relationship somehow. I'm not saying everybody has to be writing snuff stuff lmao, but isn't it interesting if Durge can't really be sexually satisfied by Gortash? God. Okay. Well if we go back really to canon default durgetash and if I'm taking out any of the fun I have with the ship I think they are two lonely, co-dependent people who have a mutual professional respect that borders on... something. And I'm not even sure they ever even expressed that to each other. If we're talking whatever I've been doing, then the co-dependency is taken to the max. They're two people with their hands around each other's throats trying to wrestle each other off the cliff so they can say the other landed first.

Now I have answered this but I want to give an honourable mention to my second favourite which is the collector and the prize. -So lets say that it was a really really hot day, and even with the air conditioner it still was very hot. However, due to the scorching temperature, the Boss fortunately gave everyone a day off since he didn't want anybody collapsing from heat stroke

-Albatross suggested to go to the beach, while Lippmann volunteered to let everybody stay the night at his place. Everybody was on board with the idea, and so were you (you had to convince Chuuya to come aka drag him into the car lmao)

-Okay but like Lippmann's place is GORGEOUS. It’s big, spacious, everything is modern and clean, and the view is also nice too. Everyone literally is yelling out which room they want, and it’s chaos until Pianoman finally manages to silence you all with his smexy glare

-Everyone unpacks in their room, and your room is the best (Lippmann told me himself). The bed is a king-sized single, and there’s even heater and air conditioning in your room. Not to mention the bath has all sorts of aromatics to go with it

-Then Pianoman brings you all out to the beach, but not before making sure you all apply sunscreen Albatross tried to sneak off but Iceman caught him. And everybody falls to doing different activities, but what’s the point of finally being able to go to the beach if you weren’t going to make it fun? Ohoho I love the way you think >:)

-You and Albatross being the menaces of the Flags sneak in some water guns. And when the rest of the group wasn’t looking, you two sprayed them with icy cold sea water right in their faces. Bad choice, because now you two have declared war (Lippmann was secretly pissed that you ruined his hairstyle. And Chuuya? You don’t even need to ask to know lmao)

-So an all out battle starts, and everybody’s aim is good (I mean y’all are mafiosos so-) Iceman surprisingly gets the most hits on everyone, while Chuuya is just yelling and cursing. Doc is a sneaky little snake, Lippmann shows off his shooting skills by shooting everybody with double water guns, and you and Albatross just spray as many people as you could while cackling

-But you’re so focused on spraying Chuuya that you don’t notice the hot person sneaking up behind you... and suddenly you get tackled by Pianoman onto the sand. You’re too busy laughing to realise the slightly... suggestive way that he’s holding you. Also I bet he has some nice arm muscles because pulling wires ain’t an easy feat 😏 duerkfkijsf

-But you don’t have time to focus on Pianoman, because Chuuya is pissed. He ends up chasing you into the ocean, but don’t worry because Albatross has your back. The afternoon passes filled with laughter and banter, with everybody ganging up on each other

-Now the sky was starting to darken, and that was the cue to go back to Lippmann’s house. But not before you guys eat dinner! I headcanon Albatross dragged everybody to a pizza shop or fish and chips, but you don’t complain because you’re simply too tired to argue. Plus the food was nice, and Lippmann was the one paying he’s rich dw

-Once you guys had reached Lippmann’s home, the first thing you did was shower/take a bath. Did I mention that he keeps his bathrooms immaculately clean and sparkling? And the shampoo and soap were the best of the best quality. You couldn’t have been cleaner when you came out of the shower

-Board and card games!!! Monopoly and Uno were a must, however, it quickly became a heated war zone. Pianoman managed to win the most, while Chuuya swore quite a couple of times whenever he lost to Albatross. And it couldn’t have gotten more heated when Chuuya finally yelled Uno with a satisfied smirk on his face, only for Iceman to put down a +4 card before Chuuya’s turn. Hands were almost thrown, but Pianoman being the efficient leader he is quickly managed to calm everything down Chuuya was still brooding

-After the intense games, all seven of you settle down to watching the television while sitting in the fancy air-conditioned lounge. There was a small banter over which movie to watch, but at last everybody resorted to watching a horror movie. Even though it seemed quite fake, it still was scary enough for you to cling onto Lippmann’s arm he was secretly flustered lmao

-When the movie was finished, you were already on the verge of falling asleep. So you retired to your bedroom, but Albatross and Lippmann decided to crash into your room to have a gossiping session. And before you knew it, everybody was gathered in your room while talking about alllll the drama that happened during the week while you just wanted to sleep dammit

-It was quite late when everybody finally decided to sleep. You were more than ready to collapse onto the floor, however it was definitely a fun day for all of you. And what more could you have asked for when you get to spend a whole day with your beloved friends?

Ok so I think that @nate-acmilan truly helped me analyze my dream about Paolo, and I've realized that this theme of me being intimidated of his beauty is super common in my dreams. Like I had another dream, this one is really fucking random, where I was a student at a boarding school. One of my friends and me decided to leave the school and hang around the town for a few hours. We went back to the school, and we could tell that for some reason us leaving got everyone in trouble. So, we walked in. And it was dead silent, and everybody was walking in lines back to class. One of the teachers was Billy, and he shot me with a very angry look 😭, but then another teacher was Paolo. I saw him in the corner of my eye looking at me but very angrily lmao, I didn't even make eye contact. He and his class walked by me, and I looked to the floor lmao. But this has also made me realize that all of the reporters and interviewers that talk to Paolo are extremely brave people, because I don't think I'd do anything but just look at him, watch the footage later and write my notes then lmao. It's strange having such a hyperfixation on one person for so long 💀

(I guess Ned and Maggie are Captain and first mate too, so I am definitely drawing the parallels) Because I think most of the issues between Ed and Izzy stem from Ed seeing him only as his First Mate and not Izzy, to the point where Izzy wasn't a person anymore. And now that Ed doesn't want to be a pirate anymore, the First Mate following around is a thorn in his side, and he fails to see the loyal friend underneath the front of the First Mate

I find the difference between Ed and Stede so fascinating. Ed, who feels like his whole life went downhill after he killed and who wants to run from his life as a pirate, versus Stede who has been taunted for being weak, who wants to prove his strength and become a proper pirate. They are progressing in opposite ways.

"See, that's why he likes you. Because of your bumbling amateur status" I wonder if Ed feels like he corrupted Stede, sort of like Stede was afraid he ruined Edward at the end of season 1.

Izzy the killer being like "Give him a minute. First kill is always a mindfuck." and Edward going to check on Stede anyway, makes me wonder when Izzy first killed. If it was for Edward or if it was on his own. And if it was for Edward, if he checked on him, because I think probably not. And judging by the way Izzy stares into nothingness as Ed goes to check on Stede... yeah, no.

closeup of the top shelf, this one mostly has my hero academia and one piece stuff. also has my junji ito books, and the demon slayer funkos i couldn't fit anywhere else. the mha figures along the top are knockoff wcf figures, not the real thing </3 bought them as cake toppers actually. i don't have all the mha manga i'm missing quite a few, but i have smash 1-2, team up missions 1-3, and all of the school briefs light novels

middle shelf, this one is half midari ikishima shrine and half assorted manga and figures. plus the kyoka jiro plush that wouldnt fit on the top shelf

bottom shelf! the manga is double layered on the sides for space conservation, the ones in the back are et cetera 1-9, chronicles of the cursed sword 1, psychic academy 1-2, .hack legend of the twilight 1-3 and .hack another birth 1-3. those and the buso renkin books were all given to me by a friend

this is one of my favorite figures, himiko toga by banpresto. it was surprisingly cheap for how good it is, i think it was like $38? the kyoka jiro sticker is something my friend got for me when he visited japan, and it still has the original price tag on it which i think is cool. in this pic you can also see the shoyo hinata funko pop (held up by sticky tack lmao) and the kurogiri + twice funkos. these (and my many other tiny funkos) are actually keychains but i removed most of the keychain part and i display them as figures instead

jiro section!! i really want to get her other funko variations, the school festival version of her with her guitar and the gamestop exclusive ofher with her microphone. and i REALLY want a scale of her, the newest one that's on preorder right now is so fucking cute but i'm too broke for it rn :( someday she'll be mine, but for now i just have a counterfeit wcf lmao

the one piece section! i accidentally cut off the nico robin wano figure in this one oops :( i have the two ace's story light novels, the heroines ln (in japanese), the first manga volume in japanese, and the first fullmetal alchemist volume in japanese (doesn't fit the theme here, i know, but it didnt fit on the other shelves). here, i also have a vinsmoke reiju figure, a boa hancock figure in the back, a robin figure (dont ask why she's in her underwear i dont know either. but man do i like it), a yor forger figure, matching wano zoro and luffy funko keychains, and all my demon slayer funko keychains. i'm pretty sure this is the full set of them, i might be missing a nezuko variation though

this small bakugo figure (which sits on top of mha ultra analysis) is the first figure i ever got, i think i got it like five years ago? i don't even remember where i got it from, it was probably a gashapon machine somewhere idk. i lost his original stand ages ago so now he's sticky tacked to a lego :(

here's a closeup on my beloved midari ikishima shrine!! on the side is stickers of her sticky tacked to the shelf, and to the left is a hatsune miku drink can and a small yuji itadori figure. the shrine consists of 6 acrylic stands, 3 keychains, 3 button pins, 2 enamel pins, two sets of stud earrings, 6 stickers, 1 playing card with her on it (above the stickers but its cut off in the pic) and a bottle of purple nail polish that exactly matches the shade of hers. and kakegurui volumes 1 and 3 ofc (i plan to add kakegurui midari and the other kakegurui manga volumes to this soon). i really want more officially licensed midari merch but it's so hard to find and there's barely any of it. the white stand that some of the stuff is sitting on is a funko pop box with paper attached to it lmao

moving down to the second shelf! here's a brook figure, i really love this guy. the sculpting on his hands is SO good

next to brook is a zenitsu figure, a giyuu tomioka figure i got from a gashapon machine, and two tbhk pins

meruem and komugi funko pop on top of the manga :') my god i love these two so much. i really want to get that bandai figure of them but its like $500 at the CHEAPEST and it's not even good quality :( i'd like to get the hunter fan studios figure of them but alas, its also $500 dollars. someday i will </3 there's also a yuji itadori acrylic stand and a yuji funko keychain to the left that i forgot to take a closeup of

i've also got the komugi funko because of course i do, and it's displayed in front of hxh vol 25 because of course it is. someday i'm gonna get the meruem and pitou pops and i want them soo fucking bad but they're harder to find. also a zoro figure! from the same set as brook and the robin and otama figures from the top shelf.

bottom shelf closeups! here's the middle of the shelf, with the rets of my hxh funkos (netero, bisky, and kurapika), my radical ed funko (i want the other two so bad but they're expensive :( got a matching keychain though), a honey senpai funko and a kuromi one. plus a cool large miku pin, a yor forger pin, and a pochita plush. i really love the all in one death note book. also, death note volume 3 (the blue one that's slightly taller than the others) was the first manga i ever got! i got it at a thrift store like four years ago i think. the k-on omnibus is the most recent manga ive gotten

yugioh section! duelest 1-4 and millennium world 1-3 were both gifts from a friend, and i got zexal 1-2 at a thrift store. they were from a school library, hence the stickers on the bottom that say west and south. really annoying, but i mostly covered them with a yugioh gameboy cartridge (i do not own a gameboy lmao). also ohshc pins!

on top of the yugioh manga is my other mha funko keychains, cubone and pikachu figures, a gudetama keychain, and a pochita necklace (which is actually a friendship necklace with my friend @/fartfeild)

other side of the shelf! the demon slayer pins have a glare on them in the pic which sucks. also have a miku pin, a gudetama coin purse thing, a mimukyu plush and figure (there's another mimikyu figure on top of the k-on manga), and four one piece pins

btw, the way i prop up the pins is by sticky tacking them onto legos!!

jet black keychain (got it in a blind bag and im still mad i didnt get ed. i love jet too though), an emma keychain, more manga panels (ririka momobami and himiko toga) and a joey wheeler keychain that tragically got cut off in the pic. the chopper and luffy pins are part of a set with the zoro one, and i wish i'd put them together instead of splitting them up. i'll probably rearrange this sometime and then i'll pt them all together. there's also another melanie martinez pin from a concert, and two more pokemon ones

this thing came with one piece heroines, it's basically a second dust cover that advertises other one piece books. i kept it because of this cute nami drawing and oda's signature

also, the way i hang the button pins up is by sliding the wire piece behind a thumbtack :) please ignore my awfully chipped nail polish

i think the intro scene is rly interesting, bc from the other two stories we've kind of gotten an opinion of the house, so seeing it go from this overwhelming force to like. a shadow of its former self. and there's this person trying to fix it up, and even to someone who's trying to "save" it the house rebels against it / messes w/ her (all the wallpaper falling off after she'd gotten all of it on and was feeling smug of it). like ofc it's also just the house being reflective of what's put into it (rosa who's all work and no play, doesn't take care of herself and lets herself fall into disrepair / how her attempts at keeping busy to distract herself are very fragile and falling apart)

but it's still THE house! her throwing that wallpaper scrap to the floor and a floorboard literally kicking her in the head for it. only compared to the other kinds of things the house "did" to its former residents its like. almost tame? in comparison. less mind-games, more direct. even the house is perhaps tired of being what it's always been. even someone so drunk on their own misery, who's so against accepting others, can get sick of themself and want to change? maybe

GOD the entire "it's rent day" convo hitting COMPLETELY different knowing the full context of things. going in w/ the assumption that the world might be flooded but some things seem to be function, so yeah why not money ig! and elias' flippant attitude and "what about fish you need to eat" seeming like an deflection when it's really like. concern for rosa lmao. them being on very different pages

"you could try, it wouldn't hurt" with the hint of getting sick of this, like it's a conversation they've had before something she's been trying for a while. great worldbuilding for part 3 i rly wish it had expanded more on it!!

ok i am trying to think of timeline. so last time elias paid rent with real money was 12 weeks ago, her board had the last of her other tenants move out around then as well. but jen's paid her rent in "obsidian crystals" for a while? ("i've got about 10 of these"). jen met cosmos 7 years ago in a throat singing class.

also "everybody left when the rains came" not calling the flood what it was cool

also by the timeline of the flooding moving up itself it seemed very quick.

that there are two seperate scenes of rosa turning on the water and it being clogged before gushing out. gee i wonder what that's a metaphor for certainly not her clogged "chakra" channels.

UGHH her standing in the doorway and it being open for her and her turning away from it.

is it just me or did they use jen and cosmos' character models for her parents. like not EXACTLY but the white cat/long hair orange cat...girl ur issues <3 (also her DIY book girl u do everything urself accept help from others pls)

ok genuine question cosmos coming and immediately giving jen weed. isn't weed poison to cats like i know this is fantasy anthropomorphization but poison is poison.

rosa getting excited abt cosmos and jumping up and down only to immediately tamp down on her own excitement. this cat can fit forms of repression you've never even heard of before.

cosmos mentioning "reawakening" wow of both rosa and of the house. getting to know the house, starting with the surface but it's after the scene of everyone having fun together within it. nourishing the soul of the house. also that it's in this extended portion of it, the greenhouse is i think where that empty lot was in part 2. from something lifeless and dead to something used to grow food for everyone to congregate in :) i love them.

rosa and elias' convo by the boat and it's elias saying "by tomorrow the water will be in the house" is the thing that rly makes rosa blow up at him. that's the thing she's trying to avoid thinking abt dude <3

the 3rd scene w/ her and water, the water coming out murky but after a bit clearing up again. wow almost like some outbursts are needed.

jen on cosmos "he's only here to help you move on" literally saying he came partly specifically to help rosa's friends stage her an intervention. that it was only the repeated upheaval of her (false) sense of comfort being chipped at that gave her the wakeup call she needed. when u can only escape the overwhelming prescense of ur fucked up nightmare house when ur friends hotbox it for u when ur not looking.

rosa's relation with the house really seems the most ambiguous. like with the previous 2 there was some like. explicit hostility mixed with possession. but for this one the possession is more like, dependence. and also greater self-awareness at least with self-to-house. like she's aware she's trapped herself and it's something she's settled into willingly, it's the outside she's in denial towards.

"i've been fighting this house for years", her asking the house, beseeching, "i want to leave", the studio apartment sign falling over when the house transforms into a boat. also maybe parallel the skylight opening up and the water rising to the house's level with the part 1 "a light on top of the hill, the envy for miles around" not much to see in a fog! the ground has risen up around you.

also random thing but the weathervane when cosmos first appears // it at the end i think they're both facing west? not sure what that means but something i noticed!

cosmos name being expansive being freedom/limitlessness but distinctly cosmos which is defined as "The universe regarded as an orderly, harmonious whole." distinct from the self-contained inner disharmony/chaos rosa (and all the protgs) inflict upon themselves/have inflicted upon them bc of their inability/refusal/denial of connection with others

the end song being sung by the part 2 guy....."a home is a place love and life can mix" "not some place you pour your life into" // his line "i've poured my whole life into this house!" UGHHH. Also fucking "if you're looking for a 3 story monstrosity" like yes three levels three floors three stories in an anthology. Shut the up

BUT YEAH the movie rly was explicit in all 3 parts with its themes/how the house reflected the owners (part 1: house reconstructing itself to chase some ideal "better" version of itself but in doing so made it more and more inhospitable (changing yourself to fit others) // part 2: putting on a flashy exterior, to the point of impracticality, and to the neglect of internal structural issues (failure to look at reality and take responsibility, and in doing so/attempting to push off your problems unto others will further isolate you which leaves you vulnerable to manipulation/dig yourself into the pit)

ALL of the parts having the general moral that, in attempting to abide by what society deems desirable/gives status, it's inherently doomed to fail bc you're chasing an IMAGE of something, something projected rather than anything actually attainable/sustainable.

also i do kind of go back and forth on my thoughts on part 3, bc on one hand i think it did a really good job, better than part 2, in like sinking the audience slowly into the character/reality disconnect (tho ofc the dentist revelation is the MOST slap in the face part of the movie lol).

but yeah, in presenting rosa in this very reasonable put-together 'stable' position as a landlord. like, the previous 2 were presented initially with having something eating at them/in fragile positions. but she starts out with having a "real job" with the failure being lack of environmental support- only, nope! she has the same issues the others had.

like yes she might 'own' the house, but what is ownership compared to real skills like fishing and gardening when the arbitrary structures of capitalism fall away? when it is community and industry and music and art that are uplifting?

but yeah kind of mixed feelings bc i do wonder abt the intent of having a her as the only one with a real "happy" ending, like i do enjoy the contrast between her / her tenants, that it was the free-spirit vagabonds who all had "useless" skills who were the ones who were necessary to uplift her. and it was both her initial position of, "affluence", and her kindness ('kindness' ig) ((in despite her lack of desire to face reality that she didn't just kick everyone out when they didn't pay rent)) that gave her the security to let people into her life despite her personal issues.

sooo idk compared to the other two parts, like the isolation of the others show yeah people need these supportive structures if they want to be able to keep themselves afloat*. so in a way like having the one who gets 'saved' even in an apocalypse it's a landlord lol. tho ig maybe in the end freeing herself from that title/changing the very nature of her identity and the house's identity (and physicality) adds to the house's change as well? lol it is only thru the abolition of capitalism and monetary systems that the house is freed from its burden as a status symbol ("house") and is able to become what it's always, in his blackened rotten beams, wanted to be ("home").

* (i saw another post talking abt this somewhere), and there are many structures in place that prevent this (that prey on the poor (part 1) and don't have any security nets for people who fall through the cracks (part 2) ((and that even w/ the 'pest' themes of part 2 that i'm still a bit meh on, i think the point is rather that regardless of who society deems irresponsible/blames for their own failure/is unwilling to engage with on a human level, no one deserves to be stuck in a place like where the renovator ended up))
