The topic of Palworld is pretty charged, but often times I see people be shamed for liking it because the CEO tweeted stuff about NFTs and the company using AI art in a separate game. Acting as if that's the most damning thing ever for a gaming company in an industry filled with similar people.
Make no mistake, I dislike both AI art and nfts, but do you realize how many gaming companies have involvement with that?
To begin with, Pokémon used AI art in a promotional piece for Pokémon Go in September, and nobody gave a shit because uwu Pikachu. The Pokémon Company also put a job listing some months back seeking an expert in NFTs. That's not quite damning evidence, but if I were a betting man, no "NFT expert" will willingly say "yeah nfts suck are bad for the environment, man, I'll take my paycheck and fuck off now." There's also a strong argument to be made that Pokémon has stolen ideas from fakemon artists (Finizen and Palafin, Scovillain, Dipplin, etc) and other franchises (kaiju movies, Dragon Quest, Megaman, final fantasy, western cartoons and food mascots, etc), a dubious legal statement that claims they own all fan art from the remixes and fakemon made on youtube to the pikachu your kid drew at breakfast; they have yet to apologize for the state of Scarlet and Violet while charging full price to millions of paying customers for a clearly unfinished and barely functioning game (which i did enjoy, but you can't tell me it was finished baking when it struggles not to shit itself just to run), and a bunch of other things people shit on Palworld for, but A. It's Pokémon so people don't care and think it's fine, and B. That's not the point of this post.
You know who else does NFTs and AI art? (Yes I heard Muscle Man from Regular Show in my head just now, too, moving along)
Square Enix sold several of their IPs for NFTs and claims to have used AI art "a minimum amount" in Foam Stars, yet I see nobody yelling for boycotts of Final Fantasy 14, 16, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest, Life is Strange, etc etc etc.
Sony has invested in both, they want to implement AI into gaming, and has a patent for nfts to be used in games and consoles, yet there's no movement to throw out your playstations.
Bandai Namco- you know, that company with a hand in pretty much most anime games on the market and popular games such as the Dark Souls games? They have a game called RYU that's essentially a virtual pet game that uses the blockchain, and its AI driven, among other projects. Yet there's no outcry to stop playing the many, MANY games they brand with. This also includes quite a few Nintendo games (btw they just partnered together to form a special studio quite recently) like Smash Wii U/3ds and New Pokémon Snap. Nobody gives a shit though.
Android, Microsoft, Google, Apple- I don't even need to explain those, they have whole teams dedicated to both. Even popular VPN companies accept crypto.
I'm just saying an awful lot of you guys that scream and shit bloody murder about Palworld's company being involved with that shit are either the biggest "It's okay when my favs do it" type of hypocrites, or you're sorely ignorant to just how evil and greedy most corporations are. You'll be hard pressed to find a game company with popular AND fun games that DOESN'T have some interest in either, let alone movie and show studios. That's the awful reality we live in.
You have 2 options
1. You basically stop doing anything involving most modern tech, including throwing out your pc and smart phone. You could probably live a comfortable life with tech circa 2010, but you have to be aware that any thing you buy may go towards a cause you don't like.
2. You accept that people can enjoy a product while not necessarily agreeing with the CEO of said product. Most CEOs tend to be jackasses anyway, that's kind of the shared trait they all have. You can also discourage companies from using them while understanding it is everywhere.
Palworld at the end of the day is just a toy, that's it. From the looks of it, it's not even actually hurting anyone, and it seems like the company at least treats their employees pretty decently- at least according to a few things I've seen here and there that seems rather progressive for a Japanese studio (with room for doubt obviously, it's a company after all and as we've established, they're all evil). At the least its not like when people supported Hogwarts Legacy and directly put money into JKR's wallet so she can openly hurt more Trans women. In fact, the only people seemingly hurt in all of this Palworld drama are obsessed Pokémon stans that can't accept a parody, or the Pokémon Company themselves, who rightly deserve some punching up tbh.
You can just say you dislike the game, that's fine, I totally get that. Even though I personally think The Pokémon Company deserves a few nut shots after the way they've treated fans these last few years with the state of their games (and you know, stealing ideas from fans without credit), I can see why someone would be turned away from a parody that's literally meant to be Pokémon with guns. I can totally understand all of that, personally I'd prefer if the game was MORE like Pokémon with turn based combat.
But if you're going to defend Pokémon because you think its perfectly innocent because of Wooloo or something like that, just be sure you're aware you're defending the World's Richest Franchise and their own attempts at AI and NFTs while calling out an indie company (a real one thats learning as they go, not the fake "We're totally indie" franchise that hasn't been indie since gen 3) for having a ceo that also seems interested in the same stuff. And remember, you don't become number 1 without hurting people somehow (we could dig up receipts about certain partners Pokémon has teamed up with, such as Tencent with Unite, but I'd rather not right now.)
Just saying. I don't think you're an irredeemable person for still liking Pikachu, cuz I do too believe it or not. I've been a life long fan and still have fun with the games despite the clear scummy business practices towards their paying customers. Just maybe extend that courtesy to the millions of players just trying to have fun in this awful, putrid, shithole planet that just keeps getting worse and worse with each passing day.
Plus... you know, think about it. Do you think Pokémon would ever get around to making a gunless Palworld? Probably not. Do you think Palworld would exist if The Pokémon Company and Nintendo were the slightest bit chill about Pokémon fan projects like SEGA is with Sonic? Also probably not. From what I've read, the devs just wanted to make a fun game that happens to mostly be ARK with Pokémon adjacent monsters. That's not really a bad thing, all things considered, and it seems like the worst they've done is reference official Pokémon when making their own models.
Palworld being successful is actually beneficial to Pokémon fans, as well. It'll never really truly compete, but it has outsold Legends Arceus in terms of units sold (not as much financially because Palworld was only $30 plus a sale recently, but still impressive), and it is enough that Game Freak is aware of its existence. Let Palworld light a fire under their ass, and maybe GF will actually finish their next game before releasing it for full price (and no, we're not bringing up the tired imaginary ball and chain game devs, game freak owns 1/3rd lf the franchise and can easily take methods to get more dev time, they just haven't because money). Just saying, at least the Paldevs were honest enough to sell it in early access for half the price.

Star Rail 2.1: Rising Like a Phoenix (Spoiler Free)
This is one of those sorts of drops for a franchise that makes the bad content look worse. I dislike 2.0 MORE after 2.1 and for a pretty obvious reason: I like Aventurine now. I know for a lot of people that might be a non controversial statement but I did an almost a scene by scene breakdown for how much I didn't think he worked in 2.0. That anything they were going for was entirely flawed.
But they got back on track and now gave us arguably one of the best main content drops in all of Star Rail... But definitely not the best to me. I still have issues with this patch but compared to where I thought Penacony started, the fact that it's now well surpassed the Loufu already as a story is miraculous.
Admittedly, it's probably rivaling starting to try and rival the Loufu and Belobog separately in cutscene length at this point. There are definitely times during this patch where they could have used the FF 14 "Multiple cutscenes are about to play in a row" warning because BOY does this patch talk a lot. It has a lot to say which is good but...
Well, unfortunately without spoilers, I'm going to sound very negative about this patch. I swear I do like it. It has interesting character work and world building to it, some of which would have been hard not to run into these sorts of problems with, and the topics are good enough to warrant real discussions of them. There's just one major problem with it.
Their engine and the fact that this still needs to go on a phone.
Presentation is the death of this patch. I want to do a whole blog on this but I've once heard a reviewer say that one of the hardest things to make interesting is "Two people talking in a room." I actually disagree with that statement, almost anything done entirely alone (which ironically is one of the parts the game tries harder with when that eventually happened) is harder but... It's not a bad supposition. After all, if all they're doing is talking, not even arguing, you can end up just having it feel like an exposition dump. Even if it's entirely character work, it can still feel like we're being told a lot instead of being shown it.
And this patch has a lot of moment, especially early on with Aventurine, where it would get thrown back with "Show, don't tell." Not just because it's character stuff but ANYTHING to break up what is going on in these scenes. There's way too many, that chain into each other, that are just people standing in environments we've already spent time in (or are just not that visually interesting in general) just standing there, talking. Some are better, even great at this in the patch, but not enough of it is. I actually had to take a break midway through it because it was all coming in as a tiring drone that was giving me a headache from how much it was just getting on my nerves for being boring.
And I kind of have to assume part of that is a concession to the mobile market which admittedly, I'm not a part of. Star Rail is literally the first gacha game I've EVER stuck with for more than a week. I play it on my PC which runs almost anything that hits the market at top graphics even four years after I got it. So I probably feel this weird disconnect of Star Rail both being a AA game and it being a mobile game more than some might.
But it also begs the question of how much could they do in scenes? How much does their engine support that? The majority of cutscenes in the game are pre-rendered after all. There are VERY few gestures built into their dialogue system, at least as far as I can tell, which mostly come down to "Arms crossed, arms dropped, maybe a couple small facial expression changes." It all makes for a very monotonous presentation that can only be saved so much with the writing.
Even in a book, this would be most unacceptable. You'd still expect breaks from the dialogue to get into a character's head, detail their fidgets, their thoughts, show what others are doing and giving character flairs to add personality to scenes. Just SOMETHING to make it feel less boring and monotonous.
Which is the weird Catch 22 of this patch. It is the sharpest Star Rail has ever been with its writing... But it's also potentially its most boring. Again, not all of it and the climax is heck of a thing, but it's still one of the few times where I just wanted the game to shut up and let me do ANYTHING. It's one of the few times I've ever needed a break during main story content besides when the Loufu pissed me off in 1.1. Being angry would still have been more of a reaction than a lot of what this patch was causing out of me.
But the boring elements will also fade and I'll be left with the best moments in my memory so I suspect that unlike 2.0, where I actually keep forgetting about how good the Firefly stuff is because the bad felt more important to me and stuck with me more, I'll forget the bad and keep the good. You know, like the fact that Welt probably gives his best performance in the entire game in this patch, or the fact that I think the game is genuinely good at some of its politicking. Its mystery is still not great by ANY means but its leaning more into the strengths of Penacony at this point which is good.
It is a patch that has resold me on the game, both for why I'm bothering to stick around and more literally in that I'm DEFINITELY pulling for Aventurine when he comes around and getting Topaz to go with him when she comes around. Helps that losing my 50/50 and my 75/25 on Acheron got me both Clara and her Lightcone finally, giving me one of the best follow up attackers in the game.
And I do think I should mention that this patch just continues the fact that Star Rail is still one of the best turn based RPGs out there right now, let alone for the price, and this patch doesn't disappoint on that front. But I'd need to get more into spoilers for that so for today, thank you all, good luck on your pulls and see you next tale.

WELCOME TO THE DESOLATE SEKAI ...
hey there, everyone ♪ welcome to a yet another prosekai edit blog!! there are a lot of them already, howeveeeer— my main priority for starting this blog is to have an archive for my own edits ★ i haven't done them in a long time and i wanted to start anew, so they might not be the best, but i'm doing it just for fun!! i don't have a main blog for the time being and i'm still figuring out tumblr again, but i hope we can get along well ww
if you like my edits, though, then you can look under the cut for more details about requesting and my dni criteria ★
any transparents that aren't the in-game transparents are gonna be by @/prsk2dmv-transparents and @/sekaitransparents!! will be crediting them whenever i use them, but if i ever forget then the credit is here ~
WHAT CAN I DO
icons: only square ones for now. these can contain either card icons (icon that is just a close-up of the card, optionally with some touch-ups), general icons (icon of a character on a certain background, mostly of a monochrome color) and pride icons (icon of a character on a pride flag, although i want to try making icons with disability flags as well). i won't do gif icons, though, or at least not for now ):
twitter layouts: a set containing an icon (please specify which one from the icons above) and a twitter header; the types of headers are general headers (containing the requested character/pairing on a certain background; works with pride flags as well), picture headers (headers that are a picture fitting the icon) and mixed headers (made from three pictures — two fitting the icon and one containing the character/pairing)
tba...!
WHAT I MIGHT DO
moodboards: either open ones (where every picture is separated) or closed ones (where everything is in one picture). if you choose a closed one, i will as well do two versions; one with only pictures used in the moodboard and one with a requested character/pairing on top of it.
stimboards: nothing to say in this one, just that i might deny the request when i won't be able to find good gifs. you can send me gifs you want to see in the stimboard, though
wallpapers: either phone or pc ones, specified size would be appreciated. similiar to icons, these can contain either card wallpapers (preferably only to be requested for phone wallpapers), general wallpapers and pride wallpapers. i might experiment with some of them, however!
tumblr layouts: not too confident in making these, but i might as well try. works the same way as twitter layouts, but the only header type is gonna be a general header
reply icons: also not too confident with these, but work the same way as normal icons. they're just uhh shaped like reply icons you know.
tba...!
i'm ok with doing any pairing that is not proship or toyasaki/toyakasa! i'll also think about adding more sources someday, but for now i just want to stick to prosekai ww
BEFORE YOU REQUEST
— i prefer simple edits over the overly aesthetic ones!
— please tell me directly if i do something wrong, eg. use a wrong flag! i can't correct myself if i don't know what i did wrong
— please, please use tonetags when needed! i'm autistic and i can't read the tone well, so i'd hate to get a request or an ask wrong because of it!
— i have full rights to deny a request! i won't do it much and i'll always state a reason to why i'm denying it, but i want you to be aware of this possibility
— i'll try my best to get the requests done quick, but i'm still a high schooler and i have my own personal life!
— feel free to ask about anything!
— the cards from revival my dream and island panic sets won't be edited, and it also goes to any possible racist sets in the future!
— dni if you fit the basic criteria, but also if you're a fetishist, colopale defender, sexualize minors, don't see mizuki as a canon transfem and/or use he/him on them and ship toyasaki/toyakasa or other canon found families!
— i'll add the alt text for all images in the future, but i have to learn how to properly write it first!

Hi, public school teacher here, there are a few reasons (in addition to what OP mentioned) as to why (I think) this has been happening over the years. A lot of people don't actually know what's happening in the classroom since they haven't been in one since THEY were in school, so I'm going to shed some light on this from a teacher's perspective.
TLDR: Many schools are cutting technology classes and exclusively using iPads/tablets, causing students not knowing how to use computers/most technology past the VERY basic. Most families also don't have household computers for students to practice technology (computer) skills on at home.
Many districts exclusively use iPads.
It's a simple OS that relies on apps. Why is this a problem? Well, computers are set up totally different and rely less on apps and more on knowing how to use software, what files are and how they work, and just navigating the computer in general, among other things. The skills of using a computer and using a tablet are VERY different, though they do crossover a little. Computers are just more complex than iPads, but it's not hard to learn how to use one with practice.
2. Speaking of practice, lots of students aren't getting any of that anymore because technology classes are being nixed from the curriculum in schools across the US.
Now, I'm an instrumental music teacher (think band or orchestra) and at one of the schools I taught at, I didn't have a classroom to teach in for the first couple years of me teaching there (I taught in the cafeteria when lunch wasn't happening, yipee!). One year, my principal tells me we have a classroom just for band/strings (yay!) but it's where the computer lab used to be. They just got rid of their computer lab, didn't even relocate it, and technology classes (as far as I know) were cut. (If you don't know what a computer lab is, it's literally just a room with a bunch of PC's that the students can use for the duration of the class for whatever you're working on.) I don't know how much they cover in Library class, but having that separate technology class provides so much practice and instruction for how to use a computer. Even if they didn't learn how to use computers, at least they could spend time learning how to use/navigate their iPads.
I'm about to sound very "back in my day," but bear with me. Now, I was in elementary school from about 2004/05-2010 (about 20 years ago), and I can tell you right now that school is pretty different than how it was when I was there. We didn't have Chrome Books, laptops, or tablets when I was in school so we had computer lab as a class. It was VERY helpful. We even practiced typing on a keyboard with a game and I was so serious about it that I got too good at typing really fast. (My students are always amazed with how fast I can type even on a tablet and it's because of these lessons!) We also learned how to use a lot of the software in the Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) so I knew how to save files and access them later.
A lot of the people making the decisions to get rid of these technology classes assume that they'll learn it at home since we all have smartphone and stuff now. THAT IS NOT THE CASE. Sure, some kids will learn how to use a tablet/phone pretty okay, but that is absolutely not the same as a PC. They are two VERY different beasts that require different skill sets. I can go on and on about this topic, but I hope this sheds some light on the state of technology in the classroom coming from a teacher who is currently teaching. (Note, I teach 4th and 5th graders, who should already be getting a good grasp of these basic computer/technology skills, but a lot of them seriously know next to nothing about using their iPads)
3. Most households don't have a shared computer for the household/family.
Another difference between my generation and the newer generation is having a family computer. Me, and many people around my age, had a designated computer in the house that the whole family used. This was just before/right on the cusp of when smartphones started getting more into the hands of consumers. I would use my computer to save my favorite Sonic character ship art off of DeviantArt and Google Images (way before it was inundated with AI slop) to use as my wallpaper, and helped me get familiar with how to navigate the File Explorer, as well as customizing my profile on the computer.
I was also taught internet safety at school and by my parents, who reinforced this at home. I know in my schools they try to teach digital citizenship (how to act online) but I don' t know the extent of it since I'm not a classroom teacher. This was also in a time when the internet had grown a lot past it's beginnings, but was still fairly young (I can go into a whole other tirade about children being on the internet, but let's stay on track here). Having that shared computer with my family at home really reinforced the learning that was happening at school, and though I wouldn't consider myself a computer genius, I can navigate and use a computer very well, and can figure out how to fix a lot of my problems due to my basic knowledge on computers.
We need to lay more blame for "Kids don't know how computers work" at the feet of the people responsible: Google.
Google set out about a decade ago to push their (relatively unpopular) chromebooks by supplying them below-cost to schools for students, explicitly marketing them as being easy to restrict to certain activities, and in the offing, kids have now grown up in walled gardens, on glorified tablets that are designed to monetize and restrict every movement to maximize profit for one of the biggest companies in the world.
Tech literacy didn't mysteriously vanish, it was fucking murdered for profit.

DevLog 03: You… Are Late.
This month's post has been hella delayed… life got in the way and I really hadn't opened either of my writing programs like, at all. Kinda sucks, but--as they say, better late than never, right?
While hectic, I made a huge leap forward in progress, so here's to the jumps made so far, and to many more!
Neocities has been pretty slow. I got a bit stuck on flex boxes and decided to put it aside for the time being, until I feel more confident that the information has cooked long enough in my brain and I can jump back in and absorb the syntax required more readily. I did manage to make some writing progress elsewhere, though, and I've been plunking away at the site for my friend's use; it's also slow-going, as my focus is centralized on blender, but any progress is good progress and I felt it important to mention.
The real kicker has been the fact I FINALLY got a hold of how the fuck blender handles things like parenting, and figuring out how best to make use of topology to weight more smoothly.
In other words--I've become some kind of cracked rigging wizard, and I've only accelerated from there. Figuring out curves and hook modifiers has been a gamechanger for organic forms, and I've whipped through completely meshing and rigging some THREE SEPARATE PROJECTS in the span of a month. That is absolutely insane to me!
I did lose power while working and lose a bunch of progress, because of course blender's autosave feature gonks when you restart your PC… but whatever, I'm planning to tackle the problem in a new way later during the course of December. It's good practice to further hone my work anyway, and I honestly have a lot of fun doing this stuff now that I understand it better.
In other terms, stuff has been pretty slow… I'm sitting around waiting for a Warframe update to drop, and kind of tinkering around with looking for some reminder software--or learning bash and writing the damn program myself, as nothing has really been satisfying! I actually got the idea from a discord bot, which reminds me of another thing I've been rolling around, at least in concept.
I got my hands on Buckshot Roulette recently, and I absolutely love it to death (ha!). It's a really fun game, and I've really enjoyed the challenge and chance of it, though my memory struggles to keep up with it. I've actually come up with a logging system for rounds, that way I can keep closer track of what's going on during a given gameplay loop.
Usually I'll start with writing out the initial shell counts--2L3B, for example, to mean 'two live, three blank'. Then I note top-downward which shells are used as the round progresses, and add in any additional notes to the side, such as 4SB via the burner phone, or a little arrow indicating that a shell polarity was flipped (though that's obviously only applicable in Double-Or-Nothing mode). It's been great to be able to remember what's going on and enjoy the game to its fullest!
Which is what inspired me to look into writing a text form of the basic gameplay loop, allowing for two people to play on the same machine--the game's current multiplayer only allows for online connection, which is GREAT, but feels a bit of a loss when I want to play with, say, Axon. I debated doing something like a discord or revolt bot, which… why not both, but the problem thus arises when I get into server costs and hosting and so forth. Maybe someday, when I have more disposable income and the patience to do that. Not today, though.
Anyhow--I think I'll try to remember to share some of my blender work here on tumblr, though if you want to see it, you can also swing by my bluesky and check out progress shots and more of my yapping, hah. Next you see me, I might have FINALLY finished this avatar work for myself… so the next post might include selfies!

GameSir X2 Bluetooth Controller Review (and opinions on other controllers)
It's taken me over half a year to write this. Back in December 2022, I wrote about the 8BitDo Pro 2 Controller and how I loved using it to play games on my PC and my phone. Since then I've also used it on my relatives' Nintendo Switches at family events; it works as advertised, but it's a bit hard to play Mario Kart with it honestly. I swear it used to be easier to play Mario Kart on older consoles.
As I used the 8BitDo Pro 2 on my phone with the phone clip, I gradually understood why people thought it was top-heavy. Also, although I did have the muscle memory to play Warriors games with it, I wanted a telescopic controller because I didn't want to have my phone weighing down the controller. Because literally no telescopic controller uses the PlayStation analog stick layout (seriously, even the Backbone One PlayStation Edition uses the Xbox layout ffs), I decided to suck it up and buy something that was good yet I didn't want to spend so much money on.
I did consider the Flydigi Wee2t but apparently the ribbon cable used to connect the two halves is cheap and prone to failing from repeated use and the work required to DIY repair it is hard because I'm a person who strives for easy results. Hence I decided on the GameSir X2, a reliable and reputable telescopic controller that I could get used for cheap and sell it for a profit if I didn't like it. Unexpectedly though, I actually quite like the GameSir X2 for playing games on my phone. Thanks to it, the 8BitDo Pro 2 has been delegated to being a PC controller and it's still very useful for that purpose.
The controller connects to the phone via Bluetooth and is compatible with both iPhones and Androids; there are also Lightning and USB-C (with Switch button configuration) variants that support passthrough charging. Your phone needs to sit flush in the controller for the best experience; with my old phone (Samsung Galaxy A70), I had to take it out of the case because it had a kickstand, but when I got a new phone (Samsung Galaxy S23+), I made sure to get a case that was flat so I wouldn't need to take it out of the case. The controller has three modes, one for Android, one for iOS and one for the G-Touch mode, which connects to the GameSir app so it can act as a touch emulator through keymapping.
GameSir says that the controller doesn't support PC, but you can connect it to a PC using a USB-C cable or Bluetooth and use it as an Xbox controller. Together with the 8BitDo Pro 2, I've got a pretty good two-player setup that would have been good when my friends and I still cared about each other when we had time to care.
The controller also came with concave or convex stick covers; the sticks can be used without the covers, but they will be a bit smaller compared to having the covers on them. The covers fit quite snugly, but something to be mindful of is that they are known to come off quite easily without you knowing it. I've had numerous times where I thought I lost a stick cover only to conveniently find it nearby. GameSir do sell stick covers, but they don't sell the same kinds of stick covers they include with every X2 controller. There is no reason why they don't have spares they can sell separately because it doesn't take that much to make them.
The X2 Bluetooth originally costed nearly $100 new. I found an eBay auction listing for a used one (albeit interstate) at under $20 - with all the people putting in bids towards the end, I ended up $39 for it plus $13 postage, which was still cheaper than buying it new (even with the price drops over the past 18 months). The only reason why I won was because I used eBay's automatic bidding and set it up to $100 max bid. It was an absolute steal and a good choice on my part in case I paid too much for something I didn't end up liking.
Other similar models include the X2 Pro with a free month of Xbox GamePass Ultimate, the X2S with a changeable hair trigger/analog trigger mode and the G8 which styles itself more like an actual controller and adds an audio jack. All three models have a USB-C connection with Hall effect triggers and/or sticks (not on the X2 Pro). Speaking of the G8, the joysticks are replaceable with different variants and they aren't just stick covers.
So with how I've moved from a normal controller (with a phone clip) to a telescopic controller, a question arises as to whether I'll move on to buying a dedicated gaming handheld. The effort of fitting my phone into the controller can get a bit tedious, not to mention all the drama that's been happening in emulation on Android, particularly with Yuzu/Citra and AetherSX2 being removed from the Play Store, plus recent phone updates making it more difficult to sync my PS2 saves between my phone and computer. Plus, in all honesty, I have better things to do on my phone at the moment and I'm already taking two phones (and a laptop) into work every day, so I'm not interested in going to the effort of buying a handheld console or PC. At least I have a controller I can take to play emulated games with my phone on trips and holidays.

streaming tumblr live from desktop web using OBS does work; landscape 1080p30 video is allowed (not sure if portrait works too)
there's a wrench icon -> "my details" section in the iOS app (and I assume android app as well) to set your bio that is currently missing on web
apparently there's a "guest" feature that lets a stream become effectively a group video call that is also a stream; each guest's stream is actually a separate video (they're composed responsively in the web interface when you view a group stream).
now wait a second. that's. legitimately cool? I'm sure there are other streaming platforms that can do this but I don't know of any?
I need to go make yet another full tumblr account to see if you can compose streams out of multiple people on desktop web, but if you can, that's got to be their killer app, right? like, right now you can stream on twitch with your friends (sound only) by being in a discord call, of course, and you can add their video streams by putting a discord video call on another monitor and doing a lot of manual composing work in OBS or using VDO.ninja or whatever, but this lowers the barrier of entry by a mile.
if they add/have the ability to have guests mic-only, add the ability to manually focus one user (for game streaming), and redo the entire UI to actually have labels and tooltips on the buttons, and make the discoverability aspect not suck, and tone down the monetization push, and maybe a couple of other things...
...then I can see the vision, tbh. the moment you get more than one person interacting on a stream, at least IMO, the listenability goes way up, because humans are naturally good at conversing with each other rather than speaking directly to camera (doing the latter well is a rare skill, I think).
and lowering the barrier of entry to guesting on a friend's stream down to "have phone or pc and press button," and lowering the barrier of entry to having a stream that's actually fun to listen to is "any two people doing that and talking about a fandom they share," is actually an interesting vision, if that's the vision?
because, I mean, who doesn't have at least one friend who you get talking to and go, "hah, I bet someone would actually enjoy listening to this?"
great, now I sound like I'm simping for Meet Group. to be clear, I think the current implementation of Live with absolutely no modifications, just simply the collision of cultures and codebases, is... look, see, I don't want to disparage anyone's development work, okay?
but, you know, anyway. the place I'm actually coming at this from is "I have always been interested in streaming but only if it's multiple-people-interacting," and it never occurred to me that one of those flashy mobile-first platforms would probably do that because I always figured complex setups are better on desktop. but, hey, like, I just tuned into a random stream with 4 people who seem to know each other just hanging out and, well, I do get the pitch. I'm sorry, every part of your UI around the streaming window (when placed in a tumblr context) is garbage and I get the impression that a lot of your analytics stuff is pretty questionable. but I do get the pitch.
half a week ago I said:
if I were a product manager, my giant whiteboard would have "click the square with the person's face and see ways to tip them" on the left, and "you'll make friends / you'll fall in love / you'll make enemies / you'll become unrecognizable to your friends and family" on the right, and a whole bunch of arrows and question marks in the middle.
well, one of those arrows is apparently "one-button live podcast with your friends" and that was already built-in. fair enough. one down, many to go, I guess.
#long post#god. if I had lots of followers because I was known as “the other xkit person” I would be getting so much anon hate for this.

Hi, I love this blog! It's very helpful. I'm just curious, how are you getting these pictures from weibo? I've tried looking through some dress up games weibo before, and I manage to get pretty far using the mobile version, but eventually the endless scroll stops working and it just repeats a page endlessly. I've never seen some of the ones you've been posting!
Thank you so much! I’m always happy to hear that it’s helpful; that’s why I’m writing it after all. ;)
I’m sorry this took so long. I had to experiment a lot to see what would work and what wouldn’t and, honestly, it seems super random to me but here we are. Also, it needs to be said: whoever decided to make image heavy sites scroll endlessly needs to be cursed to always spill stuff on their clothes because it’s so obnoxious.
Real quick: If anyone else wants to chime up with something else that works, feel free; all I ask is that you test first because there used to be a couple things that worked but now don’t, so I think weibo changed some stuff.
Okay! So finally onto answering the actual question! It should be noted that although this isn’t necessarily complicated, a lot needs to be explained about the different versions and how they work, so please bear with me and, yes, that’s why there’s read more. There are several different versions of the weibo site that you can use, often dependent on whether or not the site is .com or .cn. All of these sites will need to have LN’s user ID put in after .com or .cn: /u/5396121198. So weibo(dot)cn/u/5396121198.
Firstly, you never want to go to the mobile version. That always has infinite scroll enabled because logic! (If the address is m.weibo that’s the mobile site and you don’t want to be there.) This means that if you’re on your phone, you’ll need to enable desktop mode so the browser pulls up a desktop version of the site. The desktop version isn’t going to look great on your phone because the pics are all going to be a lot smaller than would be preferable, but you can always zoom in and/or click to see the pictures in full HD. (I’ll talk a bit about the latter at the end of this.)
The .cn version via my PC is my personal preferred version. It’s incredibly simple, it’s easy to get to and save the high definition pics, I can easily bookmark which page I was on last, and it always works unlike the .com version. However, no matter what you use to go to .cn, PC or phone, you’ll need a weibo account. When I signed up for a weibo account, I had to give them my phone number; there was no problem giving them my US version and there were no random charges to my phone so I didn’t have any issues. However I understand if that makes you uncomfortable. If you really want to go to this version but don’t want to give out your real number, I’d recommend getting something like google voice. However, if you really don’t want a to make an account you can instead go to the .com version of the site, however...
I’ve had a lot of trouble with .com version; sometimes it will let you on without logging but more often it will force you to log in in order to see anything. I’ve had better luck with not having to deal with logging when being on the PC but even then it still sometimes requires it. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it works sometimes and not other times, as I used incognito mode each time to make sure it worked so nothing should have changed in the interim. Sometimes opening a new tab and putting the address in there would help, but nothing consistently fixed it except just walking away and leaving it alone for a bit. However, on the off chance that it works better for you and/or that you really don’t give out your phone number, I’m putting info about it here and I hope it works better for you.
So, how to navigate the .com website. At first it may seem like infinite scroll. However, after a couple times scrolling down you’ll eventually reach the end; you can tell it’s the end because you’ll be given two options separated by a | ; the one on the left should have a number on it which if you click on it will give the option to go straight to a certain page. The one on the right is “next”. If you reach the end and instead get some text that has a comma in the middle, no | , and nothing appears to be happening, it means the site has gotten stuck loading. This happened to me several times; refresh the page (and keep refreshing if you need to) and eventually it will fix itself. (And hopefully the .com version won’t suddenly decide you need to log in.)
Now, as to seeing the pics nice and big, the .cn site is going to give you much better pictures; the .com site will never show them as large and thus as detailed as the .cn site unless you have a weibo account. (And if you have a weibo account, you should just use the .cn site and save yourself the trouble.)
So, for the .cn site, it’s going to sound complicated but it’s really not; it just takes some explaining if you can’t read Chinese. The thing with the .cn version is it won’t show you all the pics in each post. Instead you’ll been shown one pic. To figure out if there are more pics, and to see those pics, you need to look at the very end of the text of the post. If there’s a link with [brackets] around it, that means there is more than the pic you’re seeing. Click that and it will take you to page with a all the pictures on it. In order to see them in detail, you want to click on the characters directly to the right of the image. It sounds like a lot but it’s really simple when you actually do it. If you don’t see a link with [brackets] around it but want to see that single pic in HD, if you look directly to the right of the pic (not below it; directly to the right), you’ll see a link. Click that and you’ll be taken that the HD version of that single pic.
For the .com version you, each post will show you all the pictures that are in that post. If you click on this image it will show you a larger image. Now, there is an option to see the image even larger (the link with the magnifying glass above the large pic) but, as far as I could tell, you need a weibo account in order to see that version. So, basically, the only way to get the really good pics is to get a weibo account and use the .cn version, although the .com option is (sometimes) a second option.
I hope this was helpful and I’m really sorry it got so long and took so long to answer, but due to the way weibo decided to do things, there’s a lot of different thing that need to be taken into account.

What A Rollercoaster Ride! Amateur to Pro R6 Gamer.
RIP: @KiXSTArTV. Gone too soon. Much love and sincerest condolences to his family and friends, from my family to yours.
About me
My name is Paula (a.k.a @Motherbear_four on Twitter). I moved to Australia with my husband and four children from the UK, and we have dual citizenship. As a wife, mother, and grandparent, I am a healthcare worker and fortunate enough to have all these opportunities in such a beautiful part of the world.
Follow your dreams, but make them happen by setting goals.
I believe anything is possible if you put the work in to make your dreams happen. It doesn't happen overnight and has been a long journey for my son in the gaming industry. If you do what makes you happy, you can achieve anything in life. Overthinking blocks you from your goals. Ensure you set small goals and make them happen. Then it's one step at a time and trust the process.
What were my first thoughts about gaming in the beginning?
My son, Jake' GodLgn' Harris, was at school in year twelve and was considering going on to further study, or so I thought, to become a games designer and eventually move to the USA. Year twelve finished, and my son asked to take a year out to search for his passion in life whilst holding a part-time job, and he discussed this option with his dad. We all agreed on one year. My son said he had joined a team in Rainbow6 Siege and would like to use that year to progress in the gaming industry.
During this time, he was using an old Alienware computer and struggled with lagging due to the PC and internet combined. Frustration was elevating for the whole family back then. We made a lot of sacrifices to help our son try to achieve his goals. After a lot of upset, I found myself defending my sons' career path. Jake convinced me he could do it, and most of all, I believed in my son. We both needed some slack from the family, who didn't understand it was possible. I don't blame them at all. After all, it's a one in a million chance of being successful, right?
The most specific objections all family members discussed.
Here are some of the types of issues we faced and what strategies worked (or are still being tried), but they may or may not be suitable for your family:
Unable to go on the internet now, in the evening to watch our favourite shows.
Resolved by discussing his scrim times (practise with other teams) and working the shows around those times.
Unable to download because we have to be careful with the internet limit.
Resolved by only watching priority shows.
We need better internet speed and unlimited data.
Resolved by internet line upgrades. But we had to wait for months.
Why does he get out of household chores?
Resolved by doing chores before gaming, occasionally post gaming, and giving his sister money to do them for him.
You think more of him than me!
We have not entirely resolved. 'Jake's my number one child' is the joke in the family. I have one son and three daughters. I guess in their minds, their perception may be accurate, although, in reality, it is not. I help each one of them to the same degree in different ways whenever support is needed. Lots of reassurance, love and occasional bribes help too!
Why can't we use the main house computer?
If needed, we resolved it by allowing family members on the main computer when Jake was free from practice and competitions. Later, it helped that everyone had access to laptops or phones.
I can't sit in my living area now to watch television.
We resolved the separation by partitioning the living room from the study with a wall, now a dedicated space for Jake. It wasn't always like that. In the early years, we had the TV sound turned down. We put up a divider to help him with distractions, turning his microphone sensitivity down.
Why can't you come on holiday with us?
Family getaways will not resolve due to tentative schedules. "I will be practising. I don't want to let my team down. I'm not always sure what the dates are for all competitions should we qualify."
Can you stop the dogs barking down the entry and in the front room area?
It was resolved by locking the side door access for the dogs during practice or competitions, only allowing them in the main garden area, and moving the dogs to the far side living area.
The list goes on. Do these sound familiar?
"You need to find a real job, a trade, or go back to study. You do nothing all day but sit at that computer. Spend more time with your in-real-life friends. Stop being so loud, tone it down. What do you plan on doing with your life? You can't do this forever. Why aren't you eating your meals with us anymore? Come out of that room sometimes as it isn't good for you to sit there for hours and hours. When I shout you in for your meals, I don't expect it to be there waiting, going cold. You need to eat." "Can you bring it to me then, please?" "Can you knock before you enter the room?" "Stop walking in, it's so distracting during a scrim" "I need a do not enter sign."
Yes, I know it's hard to believe but, as parents and siblings, in the beginning, stigmas are still just like they are today. We educated ourselves and compromised when frustrations were high on all sides. Battles within the family dynamics of support or lack thereof and being in the middle were Jake, my son. I had to consider all points of view, trying to resolve issues the best way I could with what we had or did not have at the time.
I used to call my son in to do some chores or eat his meals, and all he would say was, "Mum, I'm scrimming". Those words became the household banter. I didn't understand what that was. I didn't realise what training went into gaming as he was never away from the computer. Once I understood this, I often defended the importance of his training to the rest of the family and would set his meal aside for later. As for the rest, we would re-evaluate any more setbacks as a family unit.
As my son progressed to competitions, we needed a new computer. Who knew they would be so expensive? We discussed that since Jake was working, he would contribute towards a new computer since gaming wrecked the old one and would be the primary beneficiary of the new one.
As for the internet problems, it was out of our hands. It was never really any good in Western Australia in our region anyway, but eventually, it got better, and we upgraded that too.
What started as a pastime became more of a career choice, but with constant interruptions to our home life. The family could not use the internet when my son was scrimming or playing in competitions online from home. We were working from the stresses of operating a computer that was not suitable and replacing parts when they went. These were constant frustrations. And all the time, I wanted to give my son the best of everything when we couldn't afford it, with three dependents still living at home. We pushed through every obstacle in our way. It took time, but we got there, eventually.
What are my thoughts on gaming today?
Earning your income in gaming is not in everyone's life. It sure wasn't in my son's life in the beginning. After more discussions, my son handed his notice at his workplace because he wanted to go full-time into gaming, but his work schedule clashed with it. So month after month turned into year after year.
The team had their first 'lucky break' and got signed up to an organisation (commonly abbreviated as an 'org') that didn't want to pay them but promoted them instead. My son didn't mind as it was another step in the right direction, and it was a sacrifice he was willing to make. My son loved the freebies from the org, and they featured him in a Stack Gaming article. I was surprised but unhappy simultaneously, as the article didn't feature the whole team as I assumed. That roster went on to sign up with two other orgs over time, finally with pay. Their hard work was paying off.
Family support is essential, but I still believe that if they want success in the gaming industry, money is just an obstacle they can eventually overcome. If it's their true passion, along with making compromises and working hard, they will get there.
Pressures on parents in gaming.
I have always drilled into my children growing up that it's a hard life out there, and you need to prioritise your career before settling down. Looking back now, that was a bit harsh, but I only wanted the best for my children. I came to realise my idea of their future versus their wants and needs are two separate dreams. I have learned to let them grow and find their way with their own choices, and maybe if I do end up having to pick them back up in times of need, I will. As a family, we always help each other out.
Lack of understanding of the gaming industry as a career choice is often problematic for families to grasp due to the stigmas attached. Talking to my son about it gave me that education that I then forwarded to the family members.
When our son achieved goals with the team and industry, alongside earning an income, we were finally not stressing over equipment. Since his org sent sponsor equipment (peripherals like a headset, mousepad, keyboard) to their players, the rest of the family realised it was achievable. They became further invested in supporting Jake and the team.
We often worried about his mental health, burnout, and generally how he was feeling day by day as the stresses grew. I would ask him to talk to me about anything that was negatively impacting him. My son was often very open - on other days, he just needed rest. We often talk about the good times in gaming too.
Here are suggestions for parents who support their children in their professional gaming careers.
Keeping his bedroom and workspace separate from where he slept was essential. Family members went into another room only when performing in competitions or interviews. If gamers live at home with family members, sometimes this just can't be done due to lack of space. That's when we used a divider until we finally got the room wall up. We also had a whiteboard with rules and schedules, which helped us not interrupt during critical events. I occasionally wrote positive quotes up there for him to see too.
Keeping a positive attitude and not letting your fears show before a match is vital. If you struggle to understand how challenging the game is (strategies and team play), have a go yourself, and you will discover that you will have more appreciation for the game and what your child and their team is achieving. As much as you may want to talk about the game afterwards, this may not be a good idea. They don't always want to speak with you, regardless of the results. So give them the space they need until they are ready to talk about it if they're going to at all. Don't put unnecessary pressure on them; love and support them from behind the scenes.
Organisation support is fundamental.
Keep in mind that while a child is underage, a parent needs to read any contract carefully. Seriously consider consulting a lawyer (past experiences) to read over it, encourage your gaming family member to ask other players who have worked with that org for their opinion on how the org treated them. Usually, parents aren't fluent with all the legal jargon, and many players are benched for many months without pay, waiting until the time runs out before they can get into another org so they can play again. You should feel free to raise a concern regarding specific clauses. You don't need to object to the agreement outright; ask to talk about it and see what the org says. Good orgs should always want to clarify their position and hear players concerns. They want their players to be happy to play for their team.
There are good contracts and bad contracts out there. Teach your child ALWAYS to read their contractual agreement and ask questions if they aren't sure. Although arrangements are about negotiation, the org has the upper hand because they can usually find another player. Kicking player(s) (word kicked often used in the industry to release a player from the team) can occur with some contracts, especially in franchised esports at the moment. In some cases, these decisions are solely on the team to discuss players with their org. On the other hand, you don't want your child signing away their rights or future earnings because of a dodgy contract. Yes, it is essential to understand that when your child becomes a professional and starts earning money to support themselves, your child's esports career is their business.
My son and teammates progressed beyond my expectations since being associated with a well-known, well-established organisation like The Chiefs (one of the top orgs in the OCE region). There are many more opportunities for players at this org, including the chance to work with an esport psychologist, who prioritise players' mental health and helps to improve their performance, and the ability to raise their profile through being involved in marketing sponsors products.
The esports industry is more extensive than just my child playing on their computer. Not only are there subjects in school (and university) being developed, but this industry, based around event planners and tournament organisers, casters, analysts, observers, coaches, journalists/podcasters, camera and other production crew, are all viable job opportunities.
How do I separate my ego, anxiety, and support as a parent in gaming?
I'm very impulsive and often get it wrong, I admit that. Stay away from commenting on social media, especially when feeling negative, unless you connect for help from your support networks. As a parent, you may be hurting, but experience has taught me not to post, comment, or ask questions when you are hurting, as this will never end well for all parties involved. Comments you think are OK at the time might be misconstrued by others, and the last thing you want is to contribute further stress to your child or their teammates.
For example, I used to tweet statistics on how my son performed during his games. I used to find this information on internet sites, even on twitch during the competitions such as:
twitter.com
R6 Sites
twitch_live
twitch_live
twitch_live
I've been asked why a parent might want to interact on Twitter and Twitch. It's a great way to show public support for my child (and I'm lucky my son doesn't mind me doing so). It's fun to express support for the team and the Org. It's quite rare that parents do this - many parents are not inclined to be involved in their child's esports world - but I've always been welcomed and encouraged to participate. Interacting with other users on Twitter is amazing as you get to meet a lot of online people who have the same interests. Because you are intruding on your child's world, you might want to ask them if they think it is alright that you do so, or come up with an agreement that you won't mention X,Y,Z. I guess not every child might welcome a parent's close involvement.
I also occasionally interact on the Twitch stream chat but not when the games start anymore unless it's just for fun games or competitions. However, when I see something I may misconstrue as toxic and people with egos I used to become very defensive and occasionally still do. For instance, knocking a team out of competition and tweeting toxic comments rather than celebrating their own win and showing at least some limited respect to the opposing teams. I don't disagree with this banter but I just want to give an example of how it can make someone comment in retaliation but that is the whole point of comments to get a reaction and get into the minds of others.
Whether you like it or not, you now represent the 'face' of the organisation too. Self-image is an essential aspect if you want to take this seriously, I've come to understand where it can reflect upon my child and his org, and now, I do my utmost best not to make the same mistakes. I have learned that you can't just go posting online without consequences, as not everyone will like you or what you post. I didn't realise how harmful some posts can be and their effect on your mental state, including players. Now I do. I thought I was just a proud parent, but in reality, I was ego-ing myself at the expense of potentially hurting others. There are many other ways to support your gaming family members without making the same mistakes I have (and occasionally still do). Online support of your child and their team can come in many ways, with something just as simple as likes and retweets, without needing to comment further.
My anxiety never gets better during competitions; I learn to deal with it in other ways. Game watching rituals are things I say and do during a game, depending on how I feel, and every day is different. I miss some games due to work obligations, so I watch them when I get home, and I choose not to watch some games at all. But when I do, I use positive vocal and visual affirmations on how I want the game to go. It doesn't always go as planned, so I reset my assertions on importance versus non-importance. I walk around, go out in the fresh air looking at the wildlife from my alfresco. I may occasionally hold onto one of my crystal stones and focus on that, so I stop focusing on the stresses and stay in the present.
Steer clear if you are easily affected by caster, viewer & gamer comments.
Casters often do and say things to vamp up the game, and these comments can often cause controversy. After all, it is their job to commentate and keep up with the stats and give out banter. You can mute or watch the game later when your stresses are less heightened; read the comments now and then as it shows who is supporting your network. But be cautious; it can be toxic and mentally taxing to read when the game is one-sided or intense. If you find yourself in a stressful situation due to the comments, turn off chat. You don't need all that negativity! You can mute followers, unfollow, or make private lists (so you don't miss anything from your favourites). Educate yourself by talking to your gaming family member(s) or members of the gaming community.
Have questions ready for your understanding. I can occasionally ask questions at raw moments, but it is less often than it used to be as it never ended well; we both just felt more deflated. As a gamer parent, you will learn what is essential and what is not worth the worry. Being overly concerned with numbers in K/D (Kill/Deaths) is just one performance metric, but it doesn't pay to be focusing just on that. It's about how well the players perform, like a team that counts more.
Not receiving recognition of effort can affect a player's mental health at some point in their lives, especially when they have practised for hours and the results are not showing it. There is no 'I' in teamwork, and everyone just has to put in the hours of practice even if they don't feel like it. Although putting players on pedestals is not helpful, it doesn't hurt to comment when your child is performing well individually or congratulate them on their achievements once in a while. Understanding that we don't know what's going on in the background can affect performances. I loved all the attention my son received until I learned how much pressure was on him. It creates too many expectations for the team to constantly perform at a higher level, even when it may not be possible due to mental health and problems they encounter in their private life. For example, stress can prevent further planning for tactic strategies mid-game, affecting performance, causing low self-esteem and a lack of confidence. All of which can be so hard to bounce back. As the saying goes, 'don't bring your problems to work' is easier said than done.
Connect with fellow gamer parents.
Connect with other gamer parents going through a similar, if not the same, roller coaster ride as you. I have always been shy (hard to believe, huh); I overcame many challenges over time, and it didn't happen overnight. I love that my support network has given me great advice in these more recent times. Gaming parents have reached out to me, and just knowing I wasn't alone on this journey is a huge step when being a part of the gaming environment.
In many cases, we don't talk about gaming because sometimes we as parents need a break from it, but I will never forget those who came into my life because of this experience. These are people I can now call friends, and I am grateful for them.Jake 'GodLgn' HarrisAmateur to Pro timeline on Jake's journey.
Jake started playing the games casually in 2016 with his mates and went on to join a team called Dominion in 2017, which had a different iteration of names through the years. His first tournament was the 2018 Six Invitational qualifier and today he was the only original member left on the team, where his Journey on that iteration ended in 2022.

So I'm rebloging this as I do have discord and there are few of you who follow me I do not mind sharing such with if you'd like that as a means of keeping in touch.
Few things though.
My health very much impacts my ability to do things in a broad sense an this can shift moment to moment, c-ptsd is quite a "package" deal.
I do not rp to often atm re above and re the name of this blog "A work in progress" my FFXIV girl Riri, is still "in the works."
I'm not supper skilled at the whole self/character separation lot folk go on about.. my girls /are/ their own, yet also part of me.
My time zone is PST, but I tend to awake/around in some capacity between 1pm and 2am.
Re health, I tend to be set to away or invisible, I am working hard towards getting back to actually being set as online when at PC or not tied up with rl and I have my phone. This is impart of anxiety management and energy management..
I will always reply to a message once able/awake so please don't fear "bothering" me or such.. I'm pretty open book an up front & value honest communication so I try my best to communicate what's up with me..
I'm not super good at starting a chat, I do try.
I'm more story an development driven rper.. least think that's the right words.
As I noted in the massive intro to my blog, I'm a Lesbian who is Grey-Ace, my definition for lesbian is broad so ye trans gals are all a-ok in my book.
However being Grey-Ace means I'm very low on the actual doing of certain things, ambiguous language cuz who knows what the dam bot will flag.. this ties in part to the c-ptsd again as it can mess things up even when they actually get going for once.. as such I'm very cautious of things despite having a hell of a gutter brain. Q×Q
Luckly intimacy comes in many shapes an forms an platonic love is a thing though I notice it tends to hurt some peoples brains heh.
So tl;dr primarily use discord as a chat tool, I rarely rp through it though may do so with those I've gotten to know better.. this is primarily a "I have this method if you want to keep in touch." And a alternative tool if we do bump into another in game some day. I'm on Balmung.
You can also expand the monster of a blog into and find my personal Twitter, it is not FFXIV centric but it is there. I'm working on doing some updates to it, don't let the Synth Lamia bio scare you off lol.
Reblog if you RP using Discord

I'm requesting your resistance
https://youtu.be/HgoahyxUQ1w free steam games I'm requesting your resistance in this section as I let out some pent up frustration about what has all the earmarks of being a pattern in phone sales (it doesn't merit the name telemarketing or telesales), in any event as far as I can tell in the course of recent weeks, that obscures the effectively darkened eye of the picture of inside deals reps (even experts like you) as an aggregate gathering. How about we take a gander at these calls.
Horrendous Call Number One
I've been an endorser of Sports Illustrated magazine since I was mature enough to peruse. Gotten a call from a rep (apathetically and ineffectively perusing a script) who clarified SI's new book of the "Best Moments in Sports" or some such thing, brimming with photographs, blah, blah, blah. She put forth no inquiries, requested no reaction, and in her pitch she said a few times she was sending me the book. I rehash, she said she was sending me the book, and I hadn't to such an extent as snorted yet! She at long last got to the following part:
"As a favored endorser, we will send you this book, and on the off chance that you choose to keep it, it's just $24.95. I should simply check your address. (She recounted it and I agreed.) We do acknowledge all significant charge cards, which will you be utilizing?"
I stated, "Let me get this privilege. You're sending me a book. I didn't request it, and you never asked me on the off chance that I needed it, right."
"Uhh, I presume."
"Indeed, do what you need, yet in the event that you send it, I'll consider it as a blessing."
Terrible Call Number Two
The guest educated my associate that she was with US West, my nearby telephone organization. I accepted the call, as I do all calls to me (can't bear to miss possibly incredible material for this section, and classes!)
"Hi, this is Service Operator Amber, with GLD Business Savings Plan and will apply a 40% markdown to the greater part of your AT&T Lines. The administration is for nothing out of pocket since you're a business, and it's only a motivator to help you stay faithful to AT&T. I simply need to confirm your organization name (I checked it), and what is your first and last name (I offered it to her). Alright, my PC records demonstrate that over a six month time frame you normal at least $20 a month in long separation, is that right.?"
I doubted how she realized that, and she stated, "It just came up on my PC." Alrighty, then. "Presently please hold and I'll put you on line with Verifications, they'll simply pose a few inquiries and ensure your address is right. This is a FCC direction. Presently let me clarify, that when you hear the verifier say you're giving your endorsement to change over your support of the GLD Savings Plan . . ."
I hopped in, "NO. I'm not doing that."
"Uh, what they mean by that is in case you're getting a 10% rebate from AT&T it will be supplanted by the 40% markdown . . . it doesn't mean you're changing from AT&T on the grounds that you're still on the AT&T organize, despite everything you're charged by the AT&T charge director."
I asked her what might happen in the event that I didn't have AT&T (which she didn't try to inquire). She clarified that regardless i'd be qualified for 40% off my "standard rate," which she didn't know or ask, yet continued alluding to 40% off. I'll save you the rest since this call sickens me. I got an administrator on the telephone and impacted her for what I consider an untrustworthy approach. She weakly attempted to safeguard it, yet at long last conceded she was with an administration office in Missouri shrunk by GLD to put these calls utilizing this script.
Horrendous Call Number Three
In the wake of distinguishing herself and her organization, the guest stated,
"I'm calling today to educate you concerning an extraordinary failure cost path for your organization to draw in a radical new market of potential clients over the Internet." Actually a beautiful darn great opening proclamation up until now. Stood out enough to be noticed. However, the warm fluffy emotions didn't keep going long.
"What QuickPages will accomplish for you is set you up with a landing page with a web deliver one of a kind to your business. You can incorporate up to 200 words to depict your business. Presently, let me simply check your organization name (see the pattern here from alternate calls?) And you would be the contact name on this record?
