THATS RIGHT FOLKS! I'm making some keychains inspired by the "hit" movie Renfield (2023) heres a mock up of what they'll look like

I will be selling them for $5 (USD) each (mostly to recoup the price of having them made lol) if all goes according to plan they should be up for grabs OCTOBER 31, 2024

I don't plan on remaking them once theyre sold out, so once theyre gone theyre gone!

current plan for the keychains:

the very first one i'm gonna sell is the superstar saga shaker keychain just to learn how preorders work, and if everything goes well, then i'll be doing the invader zim keychains.

with those i'll be doing 6 of them: zim&gir, dib, gaz, tak, the tallest (together), and professor membrane. they'll look like they come in a set (all with a black keychain accessory, star holographic, character(s) facing front and back, colored acrylic, and 3 inches) and i'm really happy with the zim one i made so im excited to make the other ones!! the dib one is in production right now. im excited to learn how to sell stuff

as for the candyman one i made a while back i think that'll be a limited run one where i wont do preorders for them. i made it 4 inches but honestly it's really big so i think i'll make it 3.5 or something. i'll also add a orange bow keychain accessory to it myself

Posting it here to hold myself accountable: I'm gonna try and make some inFAMOUS keychain charm designs this month (because I realised I can in fact host pre-orders to assist with determining numbers and having capital to cover costs)

I'm going to offer bonus stickers with pre orders but to help me decide which characters to prioritise, it's a cheeky poll time.

Each character would be a double sided acrylic charm - blue karma and red karma sides with corresponding art.

The plan is to get pre orders up this month once I calculate manufacturing and shipping times, and have pre orders run for a couple weeks/month depending on feedback, and then try and get them ordered in and shipped out ASAP!

it's really nice they made bunny satoru

like, it kind of sends the theory that they probably weren't planning to do that much with them but then everyone fell in love with them. the staff, the kids, the fans, the otaku who didn't even watch precure but heard about "yuichi nakamura shota bunny" and went to see the movie

Because the whole thing about the "they turn into animals" episode is it seemed to be a crossover with wanwan nyanyan day (11/22) and that's why they started selling the 'twin keychains' with the dog duo and cat duo at Pretty Store then. Have two dogs and two cats for woof woof meow meow day. It doesn't even really make sense to put the bunnies in there too.

So like maybe really early on in the planning stage they decided to make sure in an episode in November Iroha and Mayu would turn into animals, but by the time they got around to actually scripting it, they said "we can't let satoru be the only one who doesn't get to be an animal! he's part of the main cast! and we love him. also if we really go through with the Pretty Store collab merch idea we can put satoru and daifuku in a keychain too and people would definitely buy them. their acrylic stands always sell out just after yuki"

oh yeah, also, yoko uchida said she only actually designed rabbit satoru; dog iroha and cat mayu were done by the anime staff. So giving him an animal form was definitely a decision made at another time from the girls

basically what I think I'm getting at is it might be a sign they have consciously been putting satoru and daifuku into the show more than the original plan because they really grew on them

anyway that means if they've already been changing the plan to put more of the boys in they'll definitely have time to change more things in future episodes to include them in bigger roles /copium

New fandoms - LADS & Link Click

I started playing Love and Deepspace 2 months ago and I'm hooked. I'll probably do some small charms for them in the future! Link Click is not actually a new fandom for me, but I've discontinued the previous keychain and I was missing my boys at my con tables. I'm not sure if I'm going to do another type of merch for them but surely inspiration will hit while rewatching season 1 and 2.

I want to design and sell acrylic charm keychains so I come to my Tumblr as this is where I post predominantly fandom content, to ask about it. Where shall I begin? If you vote I assume you have interest in purchasing merchandise.

I shall list several of my interests that I'm interested in designing charms for.

I hope to keep prices as cheap as I can while still making some profit for my family.

I do not plan for the charms to be too big, hope for them to be small and cute!

So this is still in the works!! I've been trying to sort it all out to make sure everything is perfect, but! I've decided that I'm selling the leftover keychains I've still got from when I produced a few for personal use.

This is kind of a test run! But if you're interested in getting one of these earlier than the pre-order, you're welcome to :]

NOTE:

♢ These are acrylic!! I want to make the next batch of keychains into epoxy + acrylic rather than just acrylic, this would make them way more resistant to scratches, higher quality, and also a lot shinier. If you'd rather wait for the epoxy ones, feel free to!

♢ Due to the next batch being with epoxy, those will be a tad more expensive than these too. Not by a lot! But totally cheaper in this case.

♢ I'm hoping to have the next batch of keychains placed on Etsy somehow, but for now these are only available through Ko-Fi. Should everything work out well, the keychains will be available in both Ko-Fi and Etsy!

So, fun things are happening in my brain currently!

My partner introduced me to wooacry.com , and I'm officially obsessed. They have these amazing moving wing keychains they debuted a little while back, and I'm gonna make the most of them.

These are going to be my first ever keychains I've designed and ordered!! If the test sets go well I'll have them for a preorder on an Etsy shop or something similar, I've never really had an online shop before so we'll find out somehow to do this lol.

Without further a-do!

I give you Starscream and Pharma!! I took the mockup pieces and edited them together since it's an "assembly required" acrylic piece, this is roughly how it'll look when assembled!

For Star the wings will move as the test website shows, Pharma will have his arms move kinda like a shrug since his wings sit at his shoulders!

shitty phone pics BUT I got my keychains in from Vograce today! This was my first time ordering from them, it took me a while to take the plunge because I had heard mixed reviews on them, but I'm pleased to say that my first time buying from them went really well! This isn't really meant to be any sort of formal 'review' post or anything, just sharing my own experiences of how it went for other artists who might be interested in using their services or getting into making physical merch and need some tips :>

The acrylic is SUPER solid and the keychains themselves feel very well made and reliable, so there should be very little chance of these things breaking on anyone ! They came with protective film on both sides (which took me a hot second to figure out if there even was any because it was so secured to the acrylic LMAO) and each one came packaged in a soft baggie which were then packaged in a ziplock and then put in a secure box, so they were very well protected during the trip :> The nice thing is that the soft baggies are compostable, but they can easily be reused as packaging when they're sold so I'm gonna make sure to bring them with me when I take them to my shows!

I think my only gripe is that the colors are a little more desaturated than what I was expecting, but this also isn't the first time I've ordered custom acrylic so at this point I know it's more so a consequence of the material, so I'll probably saturate the colors a bit more next time I place an order. It should also be noted that if you're an artist yourself who's interested in Vograce's products, their turnaround time can be a little on the slower side, so don't order these expecting them to turn up in a week, plan ahead!! (though I've been told by other artists who actually make money that if you put 'urgent' in the care instructions, that can actually help speed up the process? I have yet to try this though and I'd rather not do that if I'm not actually in a rush LOL)

All in all this was a very successful test run, I'll be selling these guys at my first convention (I have about 15 of them so not too many that I'll wind up overstocked in case they don'8t sell well and not too much money lost , it cost me about $40 after shipping) and then after that I'll be placing another bigger order for more! They also sell washi tape so I'm DYING to design something for that aaahhh <3

I made a Ko-Fi shop as an intervention for my Spy x Family Merch collection...

... and I'm lagging behind with sharing this intervention on Tumblr, so I'm sharing it now.

I was pretty confident in myself that I would never end up collecting any merch from any fandom I was in. Sailor Moon merch convinced me with their collab bags and makeup, but I could never bring myself to invest in getting anything to display since I wouldn't know where to put them, nor did I have the space for them. For quite a while, this reason, alone, helped me resist starting a collection... until I saw the cutest smol Nezuko display figure and I just had to buy her

And then, Spy x Family happened.

It started with collecting fanart enamel pins after being introduced to Mercari by a moot. I just loved the artwork and being able to display them on ita bags. I had a dedicated travel bag that I used during my Japan trip and during my former job. I also realized I could display them in my pencil case pouches (the black one stored my writing utensils for work while the pink bag carried feminine products).

Then, this admiration of art branched into admiring official art designs in the form of acrylic stands and keychains. And well... I got so much that I have quite a handful that I don't display... they're just sitting in a bag.

I have one hell of a collection forming (this is not all of them--but I'll make sure to make a post about them sometime in the future). Here is a perfect representation of myself as Anya crying over my love for TwiYor:

My argument still stands even after purchasing them: I don't have the space for them and I don't know where to put them. To make matters worse, I'm actually moving abroad next year... so I can't take them all with me.

So I've decided that, rather than leaving them abandoned and catching dust on a shelf, it would be best to just rehome them to other moots/collectors. I have a habit of purchasing extra stuff for my moots in an SxF discord (typically 2 - 5) especially when they're collab, limited edition, and/or quite difficult to find. I'm quite proactive when it comes to SxF merch, to be honest. In conclusion, I just accepted my fate as a dedicated SxF proxy seller/dealer.

I plan to keep the prices fair, so feel free to send me a dm on Tumblr or on Twitter/X. I actually do have a dedicated thread of merch I'm selling here, so you can also just reply to the post if interested too. or comment on the posts on Tumblr for the merch you're interested in. Unfortunately, Ko-Fi doesn't allow direct contact unless you have already donated/supported/subscribed to me. I am a little bit reluctant with the idea of negotiating prices, but it never hurts to ask. I just might say yes in the end.

I can properly celebrate her birthday now,, this is one of my favorite pieces of official art. her smile just looks so genuine, and it makes me happy to see her happy

SHE'S SO TINY AND CUTE IN THE RAINCOAT ONE I CAN'T <3 As simple as it is, I love it so much, I have it placed with my H.arrow CD. The keychain is also a nice addition. Even if it's the literal definition of simple, even her name alone makes me smile <3

I have no words other than I love her so much (I say for the millionth time). This acrylic is so beautiful. I wish I could actually have gone to the concert but God knew I would die if I heard her songs live

Awful photographic skills aside (I wanted to show that they shine, yk) these photocards are so beautiful too. I was planning on using them as bookmarks but they're so good I don't want anything to happen to them. Getting these was probably one of my best decisions ever

Unrelated, but aaaaaa I'm so excited for tomorrow's art !! I hope she's in her warden uniform, since it's one of my favorite outfits. Maybe with the wolf too? Or even blood. I don't know. I'm still so tired, jet lag is a real thing 😭

Went to japan last week, this was actually my 2nd time. The first time was when I was still in uni, about 19/20 years old? Which was a while ago 😅

If anyone is planning to go japan, do NOT go during september or the summer if you cant handle humid heat. It got as high as 36°C and it was unbearable! The sun is so hot and air was so thick 😭 Nearly died, I've never used my asthma pump so much before lol

Anyways, enough about that! I was lucky enough to visit 3 cities! Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto ✨

In Tokyo, visited the Meiji Shrine, went up Tokyo Tower, went to a jjk0 themed cafe, tbh this was kind of a let down. It was just a cafe with like the official cafe photos plastered on the walls and themed food. I was expecting it to be more like those kpop group cafes with standees and like a table of official merch to take photos with. I did buy a satoru acrylic stand and a keychain gacha. When I opened the gacha pack, it was CHIBI SATORU 😭💙💙💙💙 I was so happy! Made the whole trip worth it ✨ Also went Shibuya Crossing! Last time I went, it was already busy back then but omg, this time, its waaaaaaay more busier! Like the streets were full, there were no gaps in between people. You just had to keep moving to your destination (No wonder kenjaku chose this place 😭)

In Osaka, went Dotonbori, Denden town, and Sumiyoshi Shrine. Idk if you know about this very popular store called Don Quiote, but Bruno Mars is promoting it, and he has an ad/song that plays on tvs throughout the store. It was so random to see him but then again, he does have that Las Vegas debt to pay off 🤭🤭

Kyoto 💖 This place has my heart 🥰 Its so beautiful and relaxing. So easy to travel, everyone there is so lovely, the food is delicious, the landmarks are breath-taking. If I ever go back, I would stay there longer. I visited the famous Fushimi Inari Shrine, Tenryuuji Temple and Kiyomizu-dera - which the tokyo jujutsu tech college is (supposedly) based on!

I had such a great time! Spent so much on food and souvenirs, I am now broke, but worth it 🤣

Don't let them get to you, you're such a lovely person, I can't even imagine why they would send hate to you. As for my TSP brainrot......

It's being drowned out by my Wolfwood Trigun brainrot quite a bit right now, but that's not to say I don't still have TSP brainrot.

I'm still very receptacle to drawing TSP art since I did so just yesterday. Though with both brainrots I'm finding it difficult to use my brain at all, so there is that.

I still absolutely adore TSP and want to draw and make more content ofc. You don't have to worry about that.

As for my general life..... eh. I'll separate things into good, bad, and neutral feelings about the things.

Good: I got to have a sleepover with @dime-smothied (it was her first one ever, which was super crazy, lol). Also I bought I trigun print along with some stickers and a hoodie from my favorite artist ABDIllustraits (I would tag him bit I don't wanna bother him. He is on here though, and I adore his YouTube videos. The way he does them is just ♡♡♡♡♡)!!!! And earlier I got some TSP keychains and and acrylic standee in the mail, so I'm super happy about those!!! I love them a lot and I'm so excited to get the stuff from ABD!

Neutral: I've been temporarily back at work this week since they were severely understaffed due to people vacationing and such, so I'm making money again. So that's nice. I have a pretty set plan for moving out of my parent house, I just need to buy my own car, make doubly sure I have plenty of money saved up so I have time to find a job after I move, and then just get everything packed and double check my housing situation. So pretty soon I'll be able to move out and I'm excited about it, just gotta get all that stuff done.

Bad: Um. My pet snake Theo died two days ago........ I don't know what else I can say right now about it. I hurts and it's frustrating to say the very least. I loved him a lot and I miss him. So, I'm dealing with those emotions right now. I'm doing my best to cope, but we'll see as time passes how I do. Distractions are appreciated.

So yeah. That's pretty much everything I think. Honestly, I'm so happy to be getting asks from you again, you really help brighten my day 🅰️non, so thank you ♡ Right now I think I just need things to draw and fun drawings or rambles to look at. Hey! If you're planning on doing extra charms just for yourself, then it might be best to just go to an online manufacturer with low MOQ and get them to do it for you. I'm not sure where you're located, but Vograce is relatively trusted among artists in my circle. They offer a wide range of acrylic charms--though I'm not sure if they just do the small charms alone. You might need to chat to support first to find out if they can do that for you before you place an order with them.
