a lot of journals of local gossip/people-watching info, a lot of bandages/bandaids, and pictures of her and darcy (though those are hidden to the point nobody could find them except her or darcy).

what do they notice first in a person?

how they talk. she uses that as an entry to get a read on their general confidence and the rest of their demeanour.

on a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance?

psychologically, very high, about 7-10, if it hasn’t directly happened to her or she didn’t actively witness it; she’s good at relaying news of tragedy to others or hearing about tragedy without getting upset about it. in terms of psychological pain that she actively experiences, i’d put it around a 4. physical pain comes in above average, maybe a 6.5.

do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure?

neither, i think. i imagine she’s pretty versatile in response, but i doubt she’d ever go straight to fight (she is super weak), so of the two, i’d go with flight. if we extend it to the four responses (fight, flight, freeze, and fawn), i think freeze is most common for her in relation to a situation not exactly initiated by a person, maybe fawn depending on if it’s a certain person that’s related to/causing the pressure.

do they come from a big family/are they a family person?

sunny comes from a very small family, and that actually caused a lot of issues for her. she’s got a complicated relationship to family, so she’s not a family oriented person.

what animal represents them best?

fox, definitely. cute and cunning! or maybe a scorpion, like in the fable.

what is a smell that they dislike?

she’s sensitive to any really strong scent, like something you’d find in a super strong candle store. it’s less so the smell, but the overpowering quality of it.

have they broken any bones?

yes, more than once, both at spencer’s and at home, but a very long time ago.

how would a stranger likely describe them?

a girl with a lot of attitude, in a stuffy private school uniform, but seems wholly out of place where she is, though they can’t quite place why...

are they a night owl or a morning bird?

there are certain circles of girls who stay up to the early hours of the morning studying/gossiping/drinking/etc, and sunny is a proud member of that group. she usually conks out around 2-4am, to get up at 7am for school (though she sleeps until the afternoon on weekends).

what is a flavour they hate and a flavour they love?

loves sweet and sour tastes separately, hates them together.

do they have any hobbies?

journaling and artistic hobbies like nature drawings and embroidery.

boom, surprise birthday party! how do they react to surprises?

a bit surprised, not because she doesn’t expect people to know her birthday (she’s announced it on the show in the past), but because she didn’t except anyone to care. she would feign expectation, like she knew it would happen, then go straight to darcy and ask if she organised this. i think overall sunny would act up the “oh, i knew this would happen, i’m the best haha,” but internally be very taken aback at the display.

do they like to wear jewellery?

only as a symbol of power.

wool knit, especially the blazers and jackets the uniform supplies, though she isn’t particularly picky.

she’s american, so it’s a pretty simple 20’s american accent. she’s very good at hiding her accent though, so i imagine during broadcasts she’d use something a bit more transatlantic, and that would slip through into her normal voice.

itsuki shu axed his computer. itsuki shu is banned from social media. i have no doubts in my belief that he would be the WORST customer to be ever dealt with. you will hear this man be insanely specific about whatever kind of thing he's dealing with while you're stuck in your shift wanting to jump off a cliff as you speak to him. at some point in his complaints it strays away from what he actually wants from you and starts ranting about eichi and how he fucked up his life. if itsuki shu ever calls me im declining and blocking his number ASAP.

Dog has been getting fussy and picky about the food I was giving her. Nothing's wrong, it's just a natural consequence of her life up until now.

The first night she was with me and for the first couple of weeks, I cooked her food myself to get her eating comfortably and up to a healthy weight. Then tried introducing actual pet foods because I was worried she wasn't getting exactly the right nutrients.

The brands swapped around because of availability and finding better options and did my best to smoothly transition between them. In the meantime, I'd give her things just for the joy of seeing her try things for the first time - chicken, roast lamb, blueberries, egg. She loved them all.

Then, she really started eating a lot. So I did what I thought was logical - bought in bulk of the food she liked. She'd tried a lot different things by this point so the newness was dying down, but about 3/4ths the way through the bulk food I bought, she just... Stopped being interested.

She went off the wet food first, and seemed to only want dry and to drink more water. Seemed fine. But then, she got sick of the dry food - only eating it begrudgingly after I'd eaten like "well, if this is all there is". So I bought different dry food, and it was okay for like a week and a bit and then, meh. Tried mixing the wet and dry together (actually mixing not just in the same bowl) and that was apparently the worst of both worlds.

So... Dog is apparently a gourmand now. She has a refined palate, and seeks new experiences.

According to advice I could find on the matter, the suggestion was to mix new things into the existing food to spice things up a bit.

I bought things to do this today, and she just... Didn't eat her lunch. Not interested, but kept doing the "feed me" things. So I decided that if it was a flavour sensation she wanted, she'd get it. And this way I could see if she didn't like any of it and could cull it from being mixed in in future.

Now we all understand dogs don't taste things the way we do, which is good, because although each individual thing is something I eat, the resulting mix was a bit more adventurous than most people would be. I made a plain rice congee, roasted off some sweet potato, pumpkin, and carrot, steamed some peas and corn, and sauteed some beef strips and - the real star of the show - liver. Topped it off with a few blueberries and some diced dried apricot as well and decided to really spoil her with a drizzle of peanut butter.

Dog was ecstatic. Ate her whole dinner. Licked the bowl clean. And then came and gave me lots of attention, very clearly pleased with the evening's offering, before going back to lick the bowl again in case a single molecule of flavour was left behind. She licked my hands, because I can only assume they smell a bit like the food from cooking it.

Every time I go NEAR the kitchen, she goes and sits by the fridge, because she saw that I cooked multiple meals worth of food and put the rest in there - the mana from heaven is trapped in the food prison, as far as she's concerned.

So I'm heading to bed now and, and she's curled up in her bed with a full tummy, which makes me glad. Aside from the extremely deadly liver-tinged dogfart that she perpetrated that is going to lead me to sleep with the windows open even though it's like 13°, I feel like I've achieved responsible dog parent status.

And for those wondering - liver is something I've eaten since I was a kid, no it's not because of rewatching Hannibal, yes I was tempted to see if dogs can have fava beans but no didn't actually check.

Honestly, thoughts are all over the place. But thank you so much for asking!!! Here they are as of today:

The Game:

The first 3 chapters - 8/10 I was going to give it a 7.5, because of the repeating dialogue and a few spelling mistakes, but so far, I think it's better written than Seasons 4 and 5- maybe on par with S3 which is a season I really enjoyed. I'm really liking how Amelia seems to be responding to how you treat her, especially if you look at the scripts. Whether or not that will affect her actions remains to be seen.

The MC - 8/10 I gotta say... she's pretty cute. It does take some fiddling to get her the way you want her, and some of her facial expressions make it look like she's had botched lip job, but overall, she's definitely prettier than S4 and S5. (Except your S5 MC ^^ wtf she's so pretty???)

The LIs - 9/10 So far, I'm really liking what I'm seeing. Yeah, some of their dialogue is the same. But I think they're different enough in personality and where it matters that it's not as noticeable as it was in say, Season 4, where James and Bruno shared a whole heap of the same dialogue, but it was clearly written with Bruno in mind, so it just seemed OOC for James. We've got a cocky dancer with a hopeless romantic streak; a golden retriever boyfriend with a soft spot for his Nan; a funny, cheeky skateboarder with a 'why-don't-you-make-me' level of flirt; and also Ryan is there. The personalities are distinct, the character designs are great, I'm really looking forward to finding out more about them

Overall design and concept- 7/10 I gotta say, I'm optimistic. It's starting out really strong for a new season. I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea, as it's a little 'gimmicky', but that's the road Fusebox are going down with the past few seasons. They're not just doing an 'open play' like S1, 2 and 3 where you come in as an OG and play all the way through. 4,5, and 6 are all 'themed', and I think having a twin in the villa is a cool concept that'll be worth exploring. It's been easy in previous seasons to just play for yourself, and say 'fuck these hoes' and just take whatever LI you want. But when it's your own sister, I think it'll make it harder to go after what you want - a moral dilemma with a family flavour. I kinda love it. Plus, if you have an identical twin that's as hot as you are, I doubt this is the first time you've had men confused about which one of you to pick💀

The Islanders:

Bella - hot. flawlessly hot. incredible rack. Her character design is absolutely gorgeous, and she is gonna be a fan favourite for sure. She just seems so fun, similar to Cora from S4, but more mature and ready for a romantic relationship. Can't wait to watch her bloom.

Grace - FB I will never forgive you for not making her a LI. I want her, those curves just *chefs kiss*. But honestly, if anyone's gonna be my bestie, I'm feeling it ith Grace. Yeah, she seems to like Ozzy, but she doesn't seem like the type to get her claws in and latch on for dear life a la Kat or Hope. Let's just hope and pray and beg that they're not making a brown girl villain again.

Ivy - I told y'all from the moment I saw her that I didn't trust this bitch. She looks too much like my cousin and my cousin is a backstabbing skank. I'm loving the concept of her though, this super type-A girl who (I almost guarantee) is either going to a) get kicked out early for being too picky, or b) have the most beautiful redemption arc where she ends up with a guy who ticks exactly zero of her boxes but she falls for him anyway. However, given Fusebox's history, I'm gonna predict she's the villain for about 2 days, then gets booted, same as Lexi from S4.

Jamal - Boys with J names 🚩... but honestly he seems nice. He's my backup LI at the moment. I'll see how things go with my #1 and might start again with Jamal instead. I think you're gonna get some wonderfully steamy scenes with this one. He's giving Bobby x Arjun, and that is something that deeply appeals to me. Cheeky, cheeky, cheeky. He's a saucy little minx and he's gonna be trouble, I just know it. Love his design, love his character so far, really happy.

Lewie - I thought he was a little baby-faced to start with, but honestly, I look at him and my brain screams husband. I'm getting Bruno x Gary x Ciaran from this one, and oh dear me, if that's not a combo that makes me swoon IDK what is. Love him so far, he's such a sweetheart but I love a footy lad.

Ozzy - I'm suspicious. I know he's already captured a few peoples' attention, but I was a little dismissive with him and he seemed a bit... red flag-y. Just a little too arrogant, you know? A little too flirtatious for someone who's very aware of how into him Grace is. I did like that he'd never had a one night stand though, although not sure how that meshes with the celebrity he apparently hooked up with in the dance studio? Because in the challenge he said he'd never dated a celebrity, but he also said he's never had a one night stand, so did he have a celebrity FWB????? The stories just aren't adding up to me. I don't trust him. Also his jaw's too sharp. And his flirty face looks like Rocco from S2. This one:

Kai: Is not a huge ice cream guy but will still eat it when the opportunities arises. Pretty meh about the Dairy Dragon; all ice cream places are the same to him. Is a little wary about the villain flavors and generally avoids them. Likes lemon + berry flavors primarily, but will try something wild like a chilli pepper flavor or a spiced chocolate and wind up utterly addicted. Has a topping called "Kai Krunch".

Jay: Loves ice cream, but likes Ice Planet more than Dairy Dragon. Flipped his shit upon seeing the Bananakhan flavor (especially because Skybound events aren't erased this time around ahahaaaaa), but is also amused by the fact it's a banana-flavor. He likes ice cream that has "Stuff" in it, like cookie dough, brownie pieces, fruit bits, peanut butter bites, cheesecake pieces, candy crunches, pop rocks, etc, etc. It's about the texture for him (...and he tends to get Kai Krunch loaded on top of everything, but don't tell Kai that)

Cole: Love ices cream, indifferent on Dairy Dragon. Amused by the villain flavors and thinks there should be more, but will not say that to anyone's face. Like sorbets and sherbets the most as he had those for dessert a lot while growing up, but otherwise isn't all that picky. Has a flavor called "Cole's Rocky Road", which is just Rocky Road, but it's very popular Jesse buys it by the carton

Zane: Indifferent on Ice Cream and Dairy Dragon; much prefers ice pops as a frozen treat. He does make a habit of tasting the villain flavors just to see if they're accurate lmao. Has no real partiality to any flavor, but makes Ninjapolitan his go-to, since its four flavors are based on him and the Core Four (which is cherry, (blue) raspberry, blackberry, and french vanilla).

Nya: Likes ice cream, liked Dairy Dragon until Bananakhan became a flavor (she was always more of an Ice Planet gal anyway), aaand is a huge chocolate ice cream junkie. The "Nya Special" is literally chocolate ice cream filled with chocolate brownies filled with fudge and covered in chocolate syrup and fudge sprinkles, and just looking at it is enough to put even Lloyd into a sugar coma.

Lloyd: Loves ice cream and Dairy Dragon, but is the vanilla fan. "You can make vanilla into any other flavor, but you can't make any other flavor into vanilla, and plus vanilla is always good by itself", is his motto. Hates the villain flavors and is especially put off by Mango Morro and is a little bitter about how popular it is snksnknsnk. "Spinjitzu Swirl" is actually a flavor based on Lloyd specifically, which is essentially a green-colored cake batter flavor with frosting (...which exists and I have had it. It is to die for).

Jesse: Prefers frozen yogurt to ice cream, not that he won't eat ice cream. Likes mystery flavors or not knowing what he's going to get, because he likes being surprised (in this specific instance lol), and finds the villain flavors to be a bit distasteful. Also really enjoys Ninjapolitan and Spinjitzu Swirl. Lowkey slips in some suggestions for a "Fruity Fuchsia" flavor. The time will come, he's sure of it.

Antonia: Ice cream is like her favorite treat ever, but doesn't even discover Dairy Dragon until way later on and kicks herself for it. Doesn't mind the villain flavors, but thinks they could be more creatively named. Is a Buttered Pecan kind of gal, but otherwise just gets whatever she's in the mood for. Is also a strong advocate for making "Fruity Fuchsia" a thing, but for different reasons.

Harumi: Used to like ice cream a whole lot, but the novelty wears off over time. Will still go to the Dairy Dragon if Antonia's egging her on about it. Likes strawberry the most, sometimes shares in Kai's penchant for spicier flavors...but is also unfortunately a huge fan of Spinjitzu Swirl and Ninjapolitan (she tried the latter out of spite) and there's literally nothing else like it in the world so she has to get that specifically if she wants to indulge RIP. Would also actively boycott Fruity Fuchsia if it existed hgdhsfhfs

Miranda: Not crazy about ice cream but certainly isn't going to turn it down either, especially if it's from Dairy Dragon (which Nelson gets her hooked on). Surprisingly has simple flavor preference, as her go-tos are mint chocolate chip and cookies & cream. Also has a whole list of idea for future villain flavors that they could and should use (such as Time Twin Tropicana, Pythor Punch, Mechanic Marble, Overlord Overload, and a Garmadon popsicle with gumball eyes)

Olivia: Might be contradicting something I said previously but she tends to avoid ice cream—the cold is really sensitive on her teeth. She can force herself to eat it but it's not usually a good experience. She does, however, like chocolate-flavor almost as much as Nya does, and can manage some salted-caramel flavor on occasion as well. Attempts to destroy the Dairy Dragon once or twice just to figure out how it manages to stay standing throughout everything lmao

Pixal: Does not like ice cream at all, but can be encouraged to at least try a bite or two, but will never go overboard with it. Therefore, indifferent to Dairy Dragon. Can stomach some vanilla on occasion, but like Zane, would probably go for a fruity ice pop first.

Skylor: Has not really had the chance to indulge in ice cream until getting off the island, and then the Dairy Dragon winds up becoming one of her favorite spots. As with her drink preferences, like a lot of the more tropical flavors (pineapple, coconut, dragonfruit, etc) and finds things like chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry a bit bland. She can get behind citrus flavors, however. Really hopes they don't make a flavor out of her dad—she's already got enough bad publicity to deal with.

Bridget: An Ice cream hater, somehow even more than Pixal.

Sunni: Is lactose-intolerant and probably shouldn't even be eating ice cream but that's not going to stop her from indulging in Ninjapolitan or Spinjitzu Swirl snksnksnksn. Would also probably die if she attempted to eat the "Nya Special", and very loudly attempts to boycott Bananakhan (with reluctant help from Samantha).

I went to a fancy restaurant (the "expect to pay a few hundred euros a person" kinda fancy) for the first time in my life.

I mean, no way in hell do I have that kind of money, but my dad invited me, my sister, his girlfriend and her son. Basically, my dad's been working at the same company for 40 years, so his boss gave him a pretty big budget to go out to eat somewhere as a treat.

We got like a ten course (or however many there were, I couldn't keep track) meal. Though, it was one of those "big plate, small portion" kinda fancy meals, you know the ones. And like, every round there'd be like 3 waiters in fancy suits standing around our table, putting down clean cutlery every time, pouring our glasses in such a fancy way and explaining what all the food was after putting it down, and things like sauce were poured on at our table. They basically did everything for you, except for the actual eating, obviously. I mean, it was cool, but as someone who's never experienced something like this before, I felt socially awkward as hell...

I can't say I liked every dish we got served, but I can acknowledge it's just because I'm a picky eater, I could still taste the quality (if that makes sense) and they tried their best to adjust dishes when needed. I've tasted so many new flavours and textures that night I've never experienced before, it was wild. But especially some of the dishes were REALLY good and it made me so sad the portion was so small. Though, so many small portions still add up and I definitely left the meal feeling full.

The restaurant was inside the biggest and fanciest hotel in the beach town I grew up in, literally on the dunes and connected straight to the beach itself. So, it was also nice being back there again for a little bit, even if most of it was seen through the window. Sometimes I really miss living so close to the beach. And I really wanted to visit my childhood ice cream shop again (can't believe it still exists), but it already closed by the time the meal was over.

Also, small side thought... I kinda technically have step-siblings now, I guess? I mean, my dad and his girlfriend are only dating, so at least not legally, but this is definitely the closest I've ever gotten to having step-family of any kind.

- I really like horror! that includes both games and movies, like Five Nights at Freddys, and the Scream franchise!

- I love lemon flavoured and scented things! Lemon cheesecake is my favourite dessert <3

- I can be a very picky eater, but oddly enough, I usually go for foods that picky eaters tend to avoid such as sushi, and I tend to avoid "picky eater foods" such as pasta!! I love spicy tuna sushi, and just spicy food in general!

- I collect comfort items, like blankets and candles! I need to replace my favourite candle because l've burnt it all, but my favourite candle is my peach candle with a wooden wick, I like it because it smells really nice and also it makes a really nice crackling sound!

- I've studied English Literature + Language, Art, and Photography, and I love to design outfits and characters!

- Nicknames are one of my favourite things! I've been given lots of nicknames, e.g. Fizzy, Poppet, Tank, Knight, Jinx, and Ghosty!

- I really like anime and manga, and I cosplay! I really like dressing as characters and going to anime cons with my friends <3 I think my favourite anime would probably either be Seraph of the End, or Black Butler (specifically the Book of Circus Arc)

- I collect Monster High dolls, and I look for the original ones that aren't produced anymore! I currently have 3, two different Frankie's, and an Abbey

- I really like Lily of the Valley flowers, I think they're so pretty

- I occasionally have these moments where l become unresponsive, I'm not sure why it happens but from time to time I just feel empty in a strange way, and I don't really react

appropriately to things (I don't seem to react at all to anything) so apologies in advance if you catch me in one of those moments

- My favourite book is called Erebos! But l've never really found another person who's read it! If you're a fan of Doki Doki Literature Club, I recommend it! It kinda feels like if DDLC was a dungeons and dragons type fantasy game!

- I love to write stories, brainstorming story ideas is one of my favourite things to do!

- I have a special interest in vampires! I have for around 11-12 years now, and any mention of them will immediately get my interest! I love to talk about various vampire media! And if you have any you like and want to share, please do so!

- My favourite colours are orange and green, specifically soft peachy shades of orange, and soft/desaturated deep greens, I love colours that are easy on the eyes, and both those colours remind me of things I like, the sunset, and the forest/nature <3

yup, kind of. not wholesale, but someone took my steve/bucky time loop fic, barely changed any of the first third of the fic, then wrote a different ending, but it was in french. so when i reported it to ao3, they said it wasn't similar enough to be plagiarism, lmao. it was definitely plagiarism.

yes!! delightfully, many many people over the years have translated my fics, mostly for star trek xi and captain america.

dialogue, banter, character-driven emotional narratives. i'm pretty good at writing action. sometimes i pull off a nice description

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i'm bilingual, so i have subjective picky Issues when people sprinkle in bits of another language for flavour because in my experience, bilingual speakers don't usually do that unless the other person can speak that language too. so in, like, romantic dialogue, i kinda hate it. if it's for a narrative purpose, and those characters are just speaking that language, it can be disruptive if the formatting doesn't help the reader understand. you have to code in a translation, in the BODY of the text. sticking translations in footnotes at the BOTTOM of the fic is completely unintuitive. don't do that.

five drinks to get to know me:

1. water. gonna be honest most of the time i'm just drinking water and almost nothing else. i always need to have my water bottle around me and i'm also not really picky when it comes to water tbh, most water tastes fine to me

2. tallat / cortado. it has become my go-to coffee lately. i always drink coffee with breakfast and after lunch and i like that a cortado is light and doesn't feel too heavy in your stomach. i usually drink it with oat milk and no sugar

3. cappuccino. my other go-to coffee when feeling like spicing things up a bit >:) with cinnamon and no sugar

4. chai latte. one of the only teas i actually like? although it's a bit hard finding a place that offers chai latte where i live so i drink it very occasionally

5. literally any fruit juice. tbh i don't drink juice that often but i do like fruit juices and i'm not picky with flavours although orange and apple juice slap

sorry this was a bit boring i almost don't drink anything other than water or coffee 😭 . i'm not that much of a beverages kind of person if i'm honest. and i don't drink alcohol

~~ Key ~~ 🍲: What do they like to eat while they’re sick? Do they like soup, or would they prefer something that isn’t “sick person food”? Do they lose their appetite when they’re sick, or are they hungrier than usual? 🎤: How does their voice change when they’re sick or allergies are bugging them? Does their voice get lower? Scratchy? Raspy? Can you hear any congestion in their voice or do they hide it well? Do they avoid speaking too much because of a sore throat and coughing, or do they try to talk through those things? ❄️: Would it be more unusual to see this character sick during the winter or during the summer? Do they typically go down during cold and flu season, or do they usually get summer colds?

Fukuchi: 🍲 Basically whatever he eats when he's not sick. Not the type to eat differently, if anything he'd just skip meals if he's not hungry, but generally unless it's bad, it's not an issue. 🎤 If he knows it's noticeable, he'll avoid talking. Generally he gets a mild congested sound that he can't quite hide, and maybe a little scratch to his voice if it's a throat related illness. ❄️ During the summer. He doesn't get sick often, so when he does, it's usually when everyone else is coming down with things all around him, which happens more often in winter.

Tetchou: 🍲 Something ridiculous, I think. Like, he has specific meals that don't make any sense, and drive people (mostly Jouno) absolutely mad. Something like boiled eggs and noodles with some spicy sauce on them both. (to clear his sinuses <3) Appetite levels don't change, just cravings/comfort foods.

🎤 His voice gets deeper and raspier, he's at risk of losing it constantly if he overuses it, mixed with definite stuffiness that's audible in his words, but also in his breathing. Despite this, he doesn't actually talk less, even when he's coughing and in pain. Just powers through, and clears his throat a lot, which only makes it worse, poor thing~

❄️ Bit of a cheaty answer, but neither would be unusual. He gets sick pretty often, so him coming to work with a mild illness is nothing new. Though, it's more common to see him deeply ill in the summer, as he gets fevers from working too hard, and the heat messes him up.

Tachihara: 🍲 Most typical comfort/illness foods, soup, rice, noodles, etc. He's not super picky, and doesn't really care about making himself comfort foods, but he does aim for more simple meals when ill.

🎤 His voice gets lower, and you will know it. He loves talking when it's deeper because he likes the way it sounds, and he's pretty good at hiding his congestion and suppressing coughs, though the wince when he speaks is hard to ignore.

❄️ More unusual to see him sick in winter. Cold and flu season does put him on edge, and he's not immune to it's grasp, but he's usually more on alert, and keeps away from people when he can. However in summer, despite knowing he always gets ill, he lets his guard down. (Plus, the heat is not good for him, especially in his fluffy coat-)

Jouno: 🍲 The type to not eat, like at all. He'll drink tea, but generally his throat hurts too much to eat a lot, and he's just honestly so overwhelmed from being sick that eating feels like a chore. People (his fellow HDs) tend to notice, and try to find soft foods that aren't too flavourful to avoid overstimulating him.

🎤 Raspy, congested, he sounds awful. Though, that won't be what tips you off that he's sick. What will tip you off is that he's completely silent. Partially because of the pain, partially because his own voice starts to overwhelm him, but mostly because he sounds awful and knows it </3

❄️ Again with a slightly cheat answer, but neither is really unusual. He doesn't have a particular season he gets sick, he doesn't actually get sick all that often. At least, not to the degree where it's severely noticeable. However he does tend to pick up illnesses from others, so cold/flu season might be a bit rougher for him.

WiJ 2023 - 17: What Inspires me to Create Whump Content?

Well, I create whumpy works for one very simple reason

As you well know, I can get VERY picky about the whump I enjoy-- needs to have this, needs to have that, the already obscure whump type needs to have hyper-specific stupidly rare tropes in it...

And, well, at the time of creating Pete and Shifting Phases, I had just never come across anything that satisfies my thirst for whump, I barely even knew or understood that I had a taste for whump, or how I did it until I created my perfect whumpee who was by design extremely angsty, cute, and tragic.

I just knew I wanted a certain flavour of angst, and often in life, my solution to problems has been 'do it myself.' If I ever thought I could get or do the thing by any other means, I usually end up going, 'well, this sucks and is disappointing, I might as well have just done it myself, never mind, I'll forget ever asking again.'

So, when I have specific wants which no piece of media I was able to find satisfied (and I was already stupidly bad at finding media), I had this approach, a very literal, "Fine, I'll do it myself :)"

While technically, I was inspired by the likes of H2O and Aquamarine, probably also a bit of Cyber Girl and the 2010 Astro Boy movie, Vampire Knight, and maybe some other stuff I can't think of, especially anything else that had even a HINT of mer or fun non-human secret were my original inspirations, I was inspired more by the lack of what they did, where they fell short, and what they could have done with their lore.

They never put their characters (who were barely even my taste anyway ^-^') through straight up hell lmao

To summarise, what inspires me to create my whump works is the total lack of media that caters to my stupidly specific tastes, and my strong internal motivation fuelled by whumperflies to get that hyper-specific whump :) I'm addicted and obsessed, what can I say? And then ofc when I ramble on and on and on to all of you lovely people about my various ideas and plot bunnies <3 You listen to me and encourage me and I love u for it <3<3<3

I love the satisfaction and whumperflies for myself, and I love inflicting my blorbo upon anyone foolish (affectionate) enough to let me even speak to them <3 The sharing brings me joy :)

In-Shu:

1: On a scale of “is occasionally forced to bathe” to “Instagram model with sponsors to hoe for” how involved is your OC’s Skincare routine?

He's the scion of the water dragon so...he does be preferring to be in the water. In his human form, he does take care of his appearance as well, after Auntie Navan teaches him how... So he would end up being an "Instagram model with sponsors to hoe for" on the scale.

3: What’s something pointless/petty/unimportant that IRRATIONALLY ANNOYS THE HELL out of your OC?

Jadebots. They are everywhere and they are annoying and noisy. To be honest he can't stand the buzzing of any other jade tech either. It makes him feel like he has an annoying mosquito around his head that he just can't quite kill.

5: Does your OC get lost easily? What do they do when they do get lost?

He does on land. In the water he knows all the currents and finds everything easily...but on land? He needs help. Thus he always has a map at hand. A physical one, no jade tech required.

7: Realistically, could your OC (in their normal circumstances- i.e. at their own house/battle camp/spaceship etc.) keep a small child alive for a week if they had to?  A Dog?  A Houseplant? A rock with a  smiley face painted on?

Technically, he's stuck being a teenager for ages, so yes to all... He does not like children too much though so he wouldn't choose to take care of one unless he has no other choice. A dog or plant? Sure. He loves those.

9: What would cause your OC to choose to do something petty/pointlessly cruel?

He'd get really petty if someone were to brag that dragons aren't a big deal and are just "overgrown lizards", or the like. He wouldn't be cruel about it but boy he would creatively punish the person.

11: What song is 100% guaranteed to get your OC beyond turns and will be sung loudly and embarrassingly, either in public or the shower?

He's not familiar with any songs actually...so probably anything that has a catchy rhythm and is stuck in his head would get him to sing it. (aka. I have not thought of his music taste yet, sorry.)

13: Under what circumstances would your OC appear naked in public?

Does dragon form count as naked? Because otherwise not a chance... Unless someone maybe knocks him out and strips him... That's the only way.

15: How often does your OC “zone out” or do things on autopilot and how severe have the problems that have arisen from that be?

He's usually very concentrated on whatever he's doing. So he doesn't often zone out. If he does it's while he's sitting somewhere peaceful and gets lost in thoughts. So no troubles arise from it.

17: How does your OC sabotage themselves?

By not trusting people one bit. He doesn't know them and even if Navan and Aurene say they're chill and cool In-Shu doesn't see them as such and keeps his contact with the people at a minimum.

19: How dehydrated is your OC right now? Are they going to fix this?

He's a water dragon. He's never dehydrated. He makes sure to stay hydrated all the time.

Zheag:

2: What are your OC’s food preferences (flavours/textures/spiciness/calories/ when and how they eat) and how did they get that way?

He likes spicy food and meats. He often eats in Amnoon restaurants or at the Temple, but when on the road he just roasts himself some meat over an open fire that's good enough. he isn't a picky eater.

4: What’s your OC’s response to being asked for money by a homeless person?

He'd of course give them. He would also direct them towards his temple where they can stay for free so they don't sleep on the floor and in the cold night.

6: What would STOP your OC from Doing The Right Thing in a tense situation?

Being dead... or one of his loved ones being hurt. He'd get angry at that... He melted Drakkar's lake over Caim (@caim-the-godstomper) being shot by Bangar and he would do it again just to roast Bangar's fur off his skin... Anyway... Anger.

8: If your OC had to take the S.A.T. tomorrow with one night to prep, how would they do?  both emotionally and academically.

...I have no idea what an S.A.T. is but he'd just wing it. no prep just wing it.

10: On a scale of “Complete and Justified nervous breakdown” to “Conquer The Entire Galaxy and become an Immortal God-Emperor”, how well would your OC handle being abducted by Aliens?

I mean... He's already a god... So I guess he'd be pissed because he got a family and a whole ass religion to take care of, no time for fucking around, please kindly put him back where he belongs or you'll be burned to death, thank you.

12: What perfectly-normal-to-them-thing does your OC do that confuses/pisses off/terrifies their neighbours?

Uses only their hand to heat up the metals he forges... not many can do that right?

14: What thing did your OC’s parents do that your OC wishes they had a better explanation for?

I mean he's originally a sylvari so his only parent is the Pale Tree...But perhaps explain why he was the only one with no fucking goal in his life. he felt so left out.

16: How strong or weak is your OC’s Impulse control? What’s the worst thing that happened because of their Impulsivity or inability to be so?

He's pretty impulsive. He left Trahearne after an argument and never went back to check on him because he fell into the magic toilet and ended up so far away. He regrets that a lot. He went to Bjora with Ulfric, his then-partner, to help Caim in the north with Bangar on a whim and had to kill Ul because he got corrupted by Jormag. He melted Drakkar's lake because he got so angry his god powers got out of control... Yeah, impulsive guy.

18: What’s the trashiest item in your OC’s wardrobe, when was the last time they wore it and why do they still have it?

He has a bellydancer outfit... He only wears it for his partners though.

20: What’s your OC smell like?  no, not that “Vanilla and Anxiety” evocative stuff, realistically.  Body odour? what have they been touching all day? When was their last shower? Did they put on any kind of artificial scent?

He smells like charcoal and cherry blossoms. Which is a weird combination but that's what you get if you put fire god magic into a plant man. On busy days he also smells a bit like a dog because of his not-jackal jackal buddy, Cliff, who he uses to move around the desert. He does take baths daily if they can but aside from some soap doesn't use anything scented.
