just out of curiosity, how's the truth/lie submissions going? i feel like there would be more lies submitted since i think it would be really easy to come up with outrageous scenarios that wouldn't be out of place in enstars 🤔🤔🤔

hiii anon, i'm really sorry to disappoint but i haven't had the time to check the actual responses because i've been busy with life (& internet archive was down the few times i've attempted so i decided to put this project on hold). but checking on the form now, there's a handful of responses to my surprise! as opposed to like,, 4. not that i don't appreciate any number of them but hmm when i made the initial post i wondered if i worded something wrong, or maybe the wording of the form itself is unpleasant 🤔? to be honest i should have probably en masse tagged all the characters but i didn't want to be annoying,,

either way the boring answer is that unfortunately i am an adult with a job 💔 so i don't know when i can properly look at everyone's responses

i will say though the lie section is far more tamer than i thought it would be... i really was expecting more stuff along the lines of like hajime buried a bomb in yumenosaki

but i'll also use this ask to nudge anyone who wants to contribute :3

ENStars lore dumps with story names if you care to see the original context are sooo fun to see, PLEASE tell me about your fav there is a 110% chance I will like them more and I might even read the story the lore comes from

thought: i think it's easy to get mad at people for not understanding your favorite character in a non-malicious manner, but if you think about within a bigger scope... enstars currently has 50+ characters, and 400+ stories. not to mention, the stories themselves are known for being long, long, long reads. it's unrealistic to expect the average fan to know the lore of every single character, especially if they only produce a unit or two

i don't disagree with the fact that people flanderize characters all the time, but honestly... this is not an enstars fandom issue. it's an every fandom issue. shallow engagement tends to lead to shallow interpretation of characters. either way, the point i'm trying to make is that if these polls make you annoyed then use them to lore dump about your favs! using myself as an example, i personally don't have the time nor interest to delve into a lot of the cast, but i like hearing people explain them!

I can’t keep it to myself anymore guysssss read Dance Floor and Toyland if you want proof that Wataru is good with kids. Yeah he’s awful to his club juniors but that’s different to how good he is with younger kids!!!!! Also see how he is with Sora too!! It’s v much a case of he treats Tomoya and Tori that way bc he knows spurring their hate of him and making pushing them to their limits will be a way to ensure their growth, and that’s what his role is to those two. He would SO be able to do a babysitting gig. If NiceP handed him that script he would PERFORM THAT ROLE

i know this is all in good fun, but the sibling bias for babysitting kinda irks me,, yeah characters that have siblings can be better with children, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'd automatically be a good babysitter. caring for a sibling isn't the same as being paid to take care of someone else's kid

this is such a stupid thing to be annoyed about but i had to get it out, hope you're having a good day though and thank you for all your hard work (( ^ - ^ ))

i think that's fair!! i kind of had that thought too for characters i don't know well because having a younger sibling doesn't inherently mean you're good at taking care of others, y'know? there's multiple factors to take into account for this question haha... i guess technically babysitting is a broad question huh? because i didn't specify on whether said character would be just like, there to mostly keep company/entertain or if the job entailed actually taking care of a kid. those two things have different skillsets! and depending on how you perceive the question, you could have different answers.

but on the other end iirc most characters who have youngers sibs have shown to be pretty responsible && caring when it matters, if a bit clumsy. or for the most part at least... give it up for madara and maguro messy relationship 🎉. but anyway i don't think people are wrong in their logic, but i also understand your feelings! since i tend to consider every factor if i can in character poll questions

he didnt actually eat cables just that he tried to. but think the same kid mightve actually eaten paper too but my memory of the event is blurring.. he did a lot of crazy shit for a child just to drive the adults nuts

OH THE KID JUST ATE CABLES OUT OF SPITE. TO BE A MENACE ON PURPOSE LOL. POOR KOHAKU AND TSUKASA WERE BEGGING HIM TO CALM DOWN. AND JUST MOMENTS EARLIER TSUKASA WAS PRAISING THE KID FOR BEING WELL BEHAVED. BUT ITS ONLY WHEN THE KID WAS WITH MADARA 😭😭

hi tatsumi defender here. i'm now here to talk about madara. last mission did have a focus on double face babysitting j, but to be fair, j was also stuck doing a show that also starred madara. also do not trust madara with kids who are menaces to society as his secret weapon is apparently violence (new colors). i think madara needs a lot of therapy and healing before he babysits... but also hes so silly when he's just being mr festivals. short term baby sitting seems to be fine, long term is a no for now.

wasnt the double face climax literally just madara and kohaku babysitting a kid? the kid that was otherwise a monster if madara stepped too far away from him, eating cables and tantrums everything, but once madara came he just calmed down and was happy. kohaku never even got a hug from that kid despite babysitting him too lmaooo

i mean they also disbanded for realsies this time but yeah the focus of their climax was babysitting j from what i remember.... why was he eating cables though
