something about hina's characterization is that he's both girlish and boyish. boyish in a girl way if you will but you can't really forget one or the other. And sometimes mellow when the situation calls for it but it has to be a rare occurrence or else it won't be significative, that's the fun part of the quiet moments like in tetora's fs1. engstars is lacking when it comes to her theatrics though 💔
#road to show was also bland girl hina characterization but i forgive it for the parkour scene#like it was indeed lacking in boyish until her physical ability is matched with trained assassin kohaku#my favorite bad movie ive watched at least twice#ive said it before but rly hina and aira were there to be the girls of the movie in a way lol the echo effect was So cringe#i love genki girls though so it's ok#like yeah it's that hina is a genki girl in a way but you can't forget that the point of atai hinata is unreasonable annoying girlfriend#she Has to be demanding look only at me style#but you also can't forget that she won the race against tetsu in beach match and is crazy strong as an acrobat#making the girly character weaker because girl is kinda. yknow#this isn't @ anyone just thoughts ive been thinking#mar's midnight rambles

Kohaku analysis
Hi anon, sorry for taking more than 5 months to reply. Kohaku just has so many things going on that I really didn't have a firm understanding of his character and don't know where to start. Still don't actually, but I'll give it my best shot.
Kohaku's main appeal imo is his numerous gaps. There’s a ridiculous amount of them, but the main ones are that he's pink, he's 160cm, he's the youngest character at 15, and yet he has no qualms about killing a man.
He could kill a man and yet was locked in his house until just this year. He could kill a man and yet he's terrified of zombies and wouldn't be able to kill them.
He talks like he has his things together (and he sort of really does), and yet he is still the youngest in the cast and so many people around him nurture him and watch his growth with warm and loving eyes.
Everyone who lays their eyes on him immediately treats him like their cute little bro, and yet he seems to be the more emotionally stable and mature one in Double Face - where his partner is literally the self-proclaimed Mama in the series.
I think the most confusing part about Kohaku is his maturity and simulataneous lack thereof. How he manages to be emotionally mature in DF, and yet is still the baby in Crazy:B. So for this post I'm going to delve into how and why Kohaku manages to do this.
---
(Please bear in mind that I haven't read the !! main stories and the stories for No Name Yet and Ariadne, so i might be missing important characterisation.
Also be warned that I will be referencing events in Dark Night's Passing, Secret Service and Sudden Death. Spoiler warning!)
I feel like most people get really blown away by the shock factor of Kohaku being trained as an assassin. And together with the way Kohaku carries himself, a lot of fans forget that there is a lot he doesn't know about the world.
He grew up in isolation and could only physically step foot into the rest of civilisation at the end of the ! era. And then he promptly got lost. (He asks Anzu for directions to ES in his first character story.) He doesn't know how to choose his own modern clothes either. The clothes we see him wearing were picked out by the salesperson, and for his Feature Outfit he chose traditional wear similar to what he wore growing up.
Kohaku is honestly very similar to Hiiro in this respect. I think it's just not as obvious to non-KohakuPs because:
Kohaku has less questions. This can be explained by how he grew up on the internet, so he had the advantage of familiarity with technology.
Screentime differences:
Hiiro’s ignorance was emphasised throughout the novel that was !! Main Story 1
Kohaku had one (1) introductory chapter that highlighted his ignorance. The rest was sprinkled in mini-talks and event stories.
Differences in other characters' responses to their questions:
Hiiro gets Aira loudly yelling, without fail, that he's stupid and ignorant. And then Hiiro yells his apologies in response. The whole exchange is very noisy and impossible to ignore. (It also happens multiple times.)
Kohaku’s interactions, however, tend to go very smoothly. They’re always along the line of, "Oh, what is this? Ohh so that's it. Thanks for teaching me!". Clean and simple, no jabs and just question > answer > thanks. Or he'll say, "I've only known about this through the internet! I'm looking forward to experiencing this myself this year." And no one comments on it, except for maybe a “Fufu I hope you have a good experience.” It’s all very short and pleasant. Nothing you would take note of unless you’re a KohakuP and realised you’ve seen them lots of times
So anyway, in contrast to Kohaku’s general cool and judgemental "Madara/Rinne-han you’re so stupid” vibe, he really is not that wise in the ways of the world. To be frank, I think his cool-as-a-cucumber behaviour is very boyish of him. You know, when you're a teen and pretend to be more grown-up than you actually are.
And Kohaku is acutely aware of how little he knows. Kohaku has low confidence in making his way through the world, even though he generally acts very capable. This low confidence is the focus of the Honey Bee scout story. It's a very, very cute story where Crazy:B finds ways to push him out of his comfort zone while still respecting his 15 year-old pride. Basically Kohaku was going to shy away from something and Rinne goes "Ha bet you can't do this!" Kohaku reacts very much like a kid by immediately biting the bait. So cute! Another point for the KohakuPs who love the cute and child-like Kohaku. I wouldn’t call Kohaku immature, but he sure isn’t a mature adult either. He has a lot of growing left to do!
Kohaku just generally exudes this little brother energy as easily as breathing.
I think part of it is his size and pink hair colour and baby fat.
Another is probably how open he is about how little he knows. Like Hiiro, he’s not shy about asking for clarification. If you hang around him for long enough, you probably come to expect and accommodate the gaps in his experience.
He’s also super forthcoming and genuine with his praise, admiration and gratitude. The instant he thinks of something nice, like "wow this person sure is skilled!" he'll just let the person in question know. (Unless you're Rinne - you tease him too much for him to want to praise you genuinely to the face orz.) I think people just like being around him and being nice to him because of this habit, and they become nicer and better people in his presence. ((I am looking at HiMERU in particular.))
And despite what I said about his teenage pride, Kohaku's also very gracious and accepting of being consistently assigned the little bro. His attitude to realising that people adopted him is just "huh? well okay I guess. Thank you for your help." He doesn't see it as being patronising; he recognises that people just want to be nice to him and lets them + is grateful for it. (Again, Rinne is an exception because his modus operandi is to bully Kohaku and Kohaku Knows This.)
I think these factors form the basis of his relationships with everyone (minus Madara and his family) where he’s the little baby Kohaku-chan that everyone loves to dote on. And he lets them, and also lets them know that he is grateful for their care! It's super wholesome and cute. Ra*bits-esque, even.
---
But despite all these child-like parts of him (especially him not knowing a lot of common knowledge), he also has a lot of. I don’t know what to call it, I guess emotional maturity in his interactions with others. He's always very genuine and sincere and respectful, and this doesn't ever change unless you're deliberately fucking with him (Rinne).
It's most obvious when you look at Double Face and his interactions with Cagiest Bastard in the Whole Series, Mikejima Madara.
This part requires a good deal of understanding about Mama's issues and Oh Boy Is It A Lot! But what you need to know is that Madara's family is involved with the police and the Shinkai Cult and Madara was been elbows deep in that world from birth. He beats people up off screen and sends the mafia after them and doesn't blink. And his emotional walls reach stratospheric heights. He calls himself Mama and is extremely friendly, but he never really lets anyone close. Headcanon that it's bc he wants to be as close to others as a Mama, but is purposely assigning himself a role that most ppl reject bc he is afraid of actually being that close to people. He's been in a solo unit for the whole of the ! era and was acting alone even before then. Talking about his issues and true feelings are simply not something he does. He buries it under layers of Wasshoi Wasshoi Festival Man Mama. Sometimes he alludes to how estranged he feels but before anyone can meaningfully respond, he jets off to another part of Japan/the world and is uncontactable for a few months.
There's no time to really go into what Madara's issues actually are, but basically Anzu (and the enstars writer Akira) created DF because she wanted Madara to have a friend. Kohaku as an assassin and Madara as the kid of a mafialord just Get Each Other the way others don't. Just look at Dark Night's Passing. It's about feeling too dirty with sin to truly assimilate with the bright sparkling world of Ryuseitai/Tsukasa. It's about not being able to talk about their feelings about their involvement with the underworld because they don't want to sully their friends. Madara sort of talks about it with Kuro, but Kuro is an ex-delinquent and beating other misguised youths up is nothing compared to what Madara is still involved in. Kohaku is probably more comfortable with Crazy:B than any other unit because of their themes of being rejects and rulebreakers, but that's still not the same as assassination. I don't think Kohaku ever came clean to them about his family. Kohaku & Madara just truly do understand each other in a way no one else can.
And despite all that, Madara still tries to distance himself from Kohaku. 😡👎. Kohaku has to chase this mf ""unit leader"" down to get updates of their shared unit's work. Kohaku has to call Madara and gets sent to voicemail every time. He has to call up everyone he can think of who could be in contact with Madara and then fly his ass across Japan to beat up Madara up. (He doesn't actually beat Madara up because he's a good kid. He just joins Madara in whatever he was working on and helps him and reminds him that he is no longer alone.)
Anyone in Kohaku's place would be completely justified in thinking that Madara's more effort than he's worth and give up or lash out at him. Just the way Madara likes it! With people so far away from him that he can't hurt them or vice versa (Madara ignores the fact that the act of pushing others away is in itself hurtful.)
But Kohaku doesn't abandon Madara. He takes things pretty damn well imo.
---
Kohaku re: dirty jobs & the Underworld is just so. He's so hopeful even while being born in and knowing the shit side of the world. It breaks my heart and fills me with awe with how disillusioned and yet hopeful he is with the world.
Kohaku in the early stories constantly talks about how the world & people's hearts are dirty. And yet, whenever he receives help (...often, bc of his politeness and little bro energy) he also always comments that kindness still exists in this world. Kohaku, especially in Dark Night's Passing, is a very jaded child. He thinks that his family's line of work is pretty dirty and hates being born into it, but still says he is okay with sacrificing himself for the Suou's. He thinks the world is rotten, that injustice will always exist, and that sacrificing himself is okay, but does whatever he can to ensure that the good people in his life don't suffer.
Kohaku doesn't roll over and give up. He finally has freedom after 15 years and he is so excited to experience all the good things the world has to offer. He knows it comes with bad things too, and accepts it like a champ! Takes it as a foregone conclusion.
It contrasts so sharply with Madara that I just gnnh. Madara is tired. He has given up. He's just floating along trying to help his loved ones while fighting a war in his head and heart against the instinct to also push them far away.
Madara and Kohaku initially connected over their shared understanding of the rotten world and their roles in it, but their attitudes towards living in such a world and with such a role couldn't be more different. Madara believes that he never belongs in the sparkling world everyone else inhabits, and he tries not to "sully" it by never entering it. Kohaku accepts the world, both its rotten and good parts, with an almost zen-like countenance that you really wouldn't expect from a 15 year-old freshly entering the world. Kohaku is excited and accepting and open-minded of all the world has to offer (as long as he doesn't look stupid, because he is 15 and freshly interacting with people irl, he cares about appearances.) Kohaku uses his assassin role to protect himself and those he cares about; it's not something that he even conceives as holding him back.
This really uniquely positions him to set Madara back on the path to heal, because he shares a similar background and yet offers perspective that Madara would not have accepted from any other person. Yes this turned into a DF dynamic analysis but Kohaku was literally created to be a Madara foil, so. That probably just means I'm doing my Kohaku analysis right.

Explaining Kohaku's emotional maturity
From a meta perspective, Kohaku's emotional maturity can be attributed to the fact that he was explictly written to be Madara's friend and confidant. He had to be a character that could make Madara feel comfortable enough to let his walls down. He also had to be a character that didn't have the same trauma response and who could handle Madara's.
Lorewise, I think Kohaku's emotional maturity when it comes to relationships (being so open, honest and respectful) can also be explained by his upbringing.
The fact that Kohaku is so open and honest and respectful can be a bit surprising, considering how he was, y'know, locked up for 15 years and all. You expect him to have some very tragic backstory, where he was abused and went through grueling and traumatic assasin training like Killua from Hunter x Hunter or something. You expect him to be cagey and defensive, like Madara or worse. Then you read Sudden Death and it becomes apparent that the chances of Kohaku having been abused are abysmally low. Kohaku is very, very loved by his family. There are still things that don't add up, like Kohaku still having been locked up in a dimly-lit room for 15 years and speaking of his growing up years so negatively. But I'm inclined to think that against all odds, his family treated him very respectfully as a little man and he was raised well. Maybe his distaste for his upbringing was because his family never really tried to justify it or gaslight him into thinking that it was normal and okay. The Oukawas are pretty cool!
---
TLDR for this whole post; Kohaku is very accepting, genuine and forthcoming. He can put even the most guarded people around him at ease and inspires them to be better people just by being himself around them. He was written perfectly to bounce off Madara (and Rinne).
He is also very small and cute. People can't help but dote on him. He is also so excited to finally participate in the world, but feels the tiniest bit of trepidation. He is growing bit by bit every day! Basically he would belong at Ra*bits is what I'm saying. If you ignore the whole assassin thing.

would like to remind everyone kohaku spent approx 9 hours by train, on an impulse, during literal qualifications, had his sister take his place and impersonate him, just to fucking check up on madara, which is, by the rules, also illegal
all of THAT, AND almost punch gatekeeper's liver in a freak assassination
i'll bear the burden of being an enstarrie just for kohaku being the most insane guy they made up

Character introduction
Name: Kohaku Ember Dragneel
Age: 15-16 (depends on his verse)
Birthday: January 10th
Race: Human(formerly) kitsune
Hair color: White
Hair length: long (up to his waist)
Hairstyle: long braid
Skin color: pale white
Eyes: deep red
Personality: he’s short-fused, rude at times, tends to keep to himself. Those who often meet him for the first time often think he’s just a kid with a horrid attitude when really it’s more of an unconscious self-defense as he’s got his guard up most of the time. But to those who form a close bond or friendship find out surprisingly he’s just someone who’s never got to be a kid. He acts way older than he is, he tries to act mature as much as possible as he often hates being called a kid (tho some certain people do get away with it). If he’s ever relaxed around you? He can either be in a chaotic pranking mood or even just playful
Backstory: his origin story slightly depends on his verse. But the long gist of it was he grew up on an isolated island called Hoshi island, the old chief who ran a village on the island was given Kohaku to raise by a strange man…and the old man Szarlon Henzo became Kohaku’s Sensei..he taught Kohaku magic and martial arts, mainly ninjitsu style. He was trained in skills that most would question why would a parent ever teach a kid, like assassination, stealth, powerful magic, rituals..Hoshi island was cut off from the mainland by Ouroboros, the God of Rebirth and Cycles, keeper of the cosmic flames…the Flames of Of the Stars..Kohaku being raised by the Chief of the island was set to be the next leader of Hoshi island..one horrid day…the island was raided…destroyed, and devastated..he and his friends tried to escape, but after the sacrifice of their leader, Szarlon...they couldn’t do much to escape. After being captured he and other survivors were kept in slave camps for experimentation until 3 years later he led a revolt in an attempt to escape……while he was the only one who survived the attempt….his kin did not survive…he escaped the island and was lost at sea for a certain amount time…and nearly drowned at sea..thankfully he succeeded in reaching the mainland…only to remember..nothing from his past…only the magic he carried..
Magic: little is known about his magic as it came from many rituals for ouroboros. Some call it Azure Fire Magic…but it’s more than that…some say he’s tuned to the cosmos. His fire is supposed to be blue and bathed in some strange energy…however due to his age..it’s a bright hot pink, he has also this strange passive ability to change his color pallet. From white hair to black hair with a cherry blossom pink streak. And his skin gets more of a tanner tone. Aside from his magic from ouroboros, he has his kitsune magic: shapeshifting, fox fire, etc.
Animal companions: a Snake named Stardust. She is his magic bonded companion who tends to mother him.
Fairy Tail
Family: Natsu Dragneel (older brother) Zeref Dragneel (elder brother) @kurogane-redfox (Uncle Gaj…I fucking love these two..despite being uncle and nephew they have a father/son bond..) @draighaearn (Menace Uncle Gajeel..Do not leave these two unsupervised) @mirroredworlds (Natsu-they are wondering if they are even siblings lol.., Gajeel- Uncle that Ko loves to have Sake with) @ignis-venenatus (Natsu-brother that acts like a dad/ Erik-Good friend of Kohaku) @blacksteeldragon (Gajeel- Dad) YES THIS BOY WAS ADOPTED BY A FLIGHT OF DRAGONS 😂
Extra info: because he’s constantly surrounded by dragonslayers, Kohaku has adopted dragon like behaviors. Steaming, hoarding, breathing fire through his mouth!
After he washed up on the mainland he came across Zeref, who then brought him to achnologia, Kohaku was then sealed in Crystal in a state of sleep stasis for 400 years…only reawakening after the 7 year skip on tenrou. After that Kohaku set out, having no memory at all of his past? He eventually finds Natsu and fairy tail :D
How he became a kitsune, Kohaku will honestly keep that a secret, but Ouroboros prevented his death by turning him into a kitsune. He is not full grown, he was only granted 5 tails, one for each trauma he overcame
Genshin Verse
He turned into a kitsune after drowning at sea, ouroboros saved him from drowning this way. Kohaku then woke up in Liyue with no memory..and a pyro vision
Family: @crimsononiarataki (Official Adoptive Dad) @kurogane-redfox (STILL UNCLE GAJ XD)
More will be added soon

PLEASE VOTE FOR KOHAKU OUKAWA IN THE PINK HAIR SWAG TOURNEY!! look at him!! look at his pink hair swag
did you know that kohaku was born into a family of assassins and spent most of his life under house arrest because otherwise his own grandfather would kill him? did you know that he was also trained as an assassin and has a part time job where he kills corrupt businessmen? now you do. here’s kohaku on his way to his part time job where he does vigilante justice and gets paid in crypto for it
kohaku has a sharp tongue and a rather cynical worldview as he’s very familiar with the dark side of humanity (see: family of assassins), but he’s also still a kid. he’s a very polite and hardworking kid who cares deeply for his friends (although he won’t always admit it) and who is really, really happy just to be out of solitary confinement and free to experience the wonders of the real world. here’s kohaku experiencing the epic highs and lows of the outside world
i’m well aware that prince muku is a formidable opponent and i don’t know if this little propaganda piece is too little too late, but it’s never over until it’s over! i would like to finish this up with one final kohaku so here’s kohaku attacking his coworker for sneaking up behind him in a public bathroom and pretending to be a ghost (yes, kohaku kills people as a side job. yes, he’s terrified of ghosts. isn’t he adorable)
in conclusion i am once more humbly asking for you to vote for kohaku oukawa in the pink hair swag tourney. thank you for your time

WIDEBAN VOLUME 10 - KOHAKU
A life supported by a Shikon Jewel Shard
His body is that of a 11 years old kid. He was severely wounded at one time, but he’s still alive thanks to a Shikon fragment put in his body by Naraku.
Despite being a child, he possesses great combat strength, but if the fragment were removed, he would instantly die. His life is very fragile.
His cold scythe that aims at his target
He was born and raised in the demon exterminator village and was strictly trained with his elder sister, Sango.
He didn’t have any practical experience until he became 11. However, he can wield a kusarigama (1) carved in demon bones smoothly. Sadly, the first time he used this ability wasn’t against a demon, but against his fellow exterminators and his own father. After that, Kohaku’s scythe continues annihilating both demons and innocent people with no emotions. This is all because of Naraku’s commands.
The scythe moves as if it was a part of Kohaku’s body and keeps assassinating both demons and innocent people.
The power of the kusarigama is huge, since it manages to annihilate a small demon with just a little attack. If it’s a human, it can cut their head without giving them a chance to resist.
(page 2)
A honest, cheerful, gentle heart
Originally Kohaku was a gentle, scary kid, but also cheerful and healthy. During his training he would welcome his elder sister, who came back from battles against demons. Considering that one day he would do the same as her, he asks Sango about them, as she’s the most skilled individual in the village. If his sister asks him: “Are you afraid?”, he says no, but he can’t hide his commotion.
The abhorrent past that was sealed
He killed all those present there, including his father, and left his dear sister severely injured. It’s natural that his mind can’t withstand this horrible reality. Having his life under Naraku’s control, this memory is sealed in his memory as Naraku commands him: he suppressed his memories as he was in no condition to learn that this was part of Naraku’s evil plan.
An easily manipulated, empty soul
There’s great emptiness inside Kohaku’s heart, who lost his memories due to Naraku’s demon powers. This empty soul is easy to manipulate for Naraku through the Shikon no Tama shard that keeps Kohaku alive. He doesn’t move by his own, but on Naraku’s command, acting as his hands and feet and wiping out both evil demons and persons. In his mind, there’s no distinction between the good and the evil. Kohaku, who was stripped free of the capacity to reason, uses the scythe with no facial expression and continues with his violent murderings.
(page 3)
Confusion within his memories
His memories were wiped out, but not totally. Sango’s face, who tries to help him several times, is the only thing that remains in his empty heart. He was supposed to forget everything, but there’s an indelible image… This leaves him confused.
Memories of a tragedy that is relived
Kohaku enters Naraku’s castle as his servant and lives with the other inhabitants. In this new life he recovers the memory of having lived with many people before. When the castle is attacked by a demon, he fights bravely and gains trust from the samurai of the castle. However, in this time he’s also manipulated by Naraku and kills all the inhabitants, who were already his fellows. Even if deep down he doesn’t want to do it, he murders without hesitation, even women. What little he has of his former heart torments him, but he can’t disobey Naraku’s commands.
At this moment Sango appears and her words, “you did it again…”, make him remember everything: both his crimes and the identity of the person who made him commit them. Kohaku’s small, weak soul faces reality and makes him make a decision.
(page 5 - interview with Rumiko)
Kohaku played a role to create a tragedy
Kohaku is the only character that had to play the role to kill his fellow exterminators and even his own father. He did something terrible. I suppose several people thought he would die after carrying out such a terrible act, but people around him (Inuyasha and his companions) said he wouldn’t let him die. If even so he died, they would be breaking their word, so I thought I had to save him.
However, it was very difficult to solve the fact that he had assassinated his fellows and his father. I couldn’t find an appropriate middle point for Kohaku. I suffered wondering to what extent I had to develop the character to accomplish redemption. It’s not something that should be forgotten. I thought how he could get over this incident without forgetting about it. He has a big trauma to deal with.
An unforgivable crime and an incurable wound
He surely was thinking all the time if he deserved to stay alive. For that reason Sango, who tried to protect him, couldn’t get close to him… After all, a trauma is a trauma. He commited a crime, Sango saw it and, besides, was one of his victims… It’s very complicated.
Of course, it’s important to consider that what he did wasn’t something he wanted to do. If he had been a bad person, he would’ve been that kind of character but that’s not the case. He suffered alone all the time. There was a time when he was with Rin, but he just accompanied her. Maybe Kikyo was a great support to him, but what he did is something that will never be erased. Even if the story would have continued from this point, his wound would surely not be healed… It’s not something that should be healen.
An exterminator instead of a ninja
The fact that Sango and the others were exterminators was something I thought considering that in this universe, where demons exist, it was just natural that this job existed. I thought they couldn’t be ninjas, that’s why there aren’t any of them. Ninjas are subjects of someone else, but exterminators are independent. That’s the good thing about them. Maybe in this universe there were other exterminators in other regions apart from Sango and Kohaku. Thanks to the exterminators, I could create a simple weapon called “hiraikotsu” (flying bone), which is practically a boomerang.
Notes:
1- Japanese weapon consisting of a scythe, a chain and a stone.

i am once again full of muse for genshin verse things so here’s a quick rundown of the idol muses’ genshin verses. this is an incomplete list, as many are still in the works, but! it’s still a good handful! also under a cut bc it got long oops
tsumugi aoba: 19, dendro catalyst, inazuma. isn’t actively involved in the resistance, but isn’t super shy about his support for them either. simply trying to live life and right the wrongs of the past after assisting one eichi tenshouin in causing trouble for many unfortunate souls. still possesses his vision, though since he does not have a fake, he often leaves it hidden.
kohaku oukawa: 16, electro sword, inazuma. hails from a family of assassins that serve the main suou family, who in turn serve baal as prominent members of the bakufu. kohaku decided to make his escape from his family after his cousin and the sole heir to the suou family, tsukasa, did the same and left for mondstadt. however, kohaku remains in inazuma and still works as an assassin, though on his own rather than for the family. eventually met madara mikejima and formed double face, vigilante pair working in the udnerworld, with him. also an active member of the resistance against baal. still possesses his vision and wears it openly.
adonis otogari: 18, pyro sword, natlan. a wanderer traveling all across teyvat, for he found no love in the warrior lifestyle of his home in natlan. at present, he is staying in mondstadt, but he never stays in one place for more than a few days, wishing to explore everything each nation has to offer.
mika kagehira: 18, cryo catalyst, fontaine. a performer in fontaine’s traveling circus, known for their mismatched eyes, their skills lie in dance, acrobatics, and contortion, and they are known to employ their cryo skills in performance as well. nicknamed “the marionette” for their peculiar aesthetics and their style of movement in their contortion acts.
kuro kiryu: 19, pyro claymore, inazuma. once a delinquent and a rebel leading a ragtag group of anti-baal delinquents long before the vision hunt decree began, kuro and his friends were caught and brought in by the bakufu, originally to be executed. however, keito, another friend of kuro’s, persuaded baal that kuro would be an asset to them in order to bargain for his life. in return for kuro’s power and skill serving the bakufu as one of their own, the lives of him and his friends would be spared. to this day he serves as a member of the bakufu, though he has secretly supported the resistance behind the scenes since the vision hunt decree began. still possesses his vision and is able to wear it openly as part of the bakufu.
shinobu sengoku: 17, electro bow, inazuma. also hailing from a family that has served baal for generations, shinobu has recently begun to be deployed on the field as a member of the bakufu. however, he has no love for the tyrant their archon has become, and secretly (but desperately) searches for an escape from the bakufu, hoping to support and fight for the resistance instead. still possesses his vision and is able to wear it openly as part of the bakufu.
ritsu sakuma: 19, cryo catalyst, mondstadt. originally from khaenri’ah, but while they weren’t cursed, they were put into a deep and long sleep when the gods attacked and destroyed the nation 500 years ago. they recently awoke from their slumber and set off on a search for their older sibling, rei, who they figure must have also survived. they ended up caught by a band of treasure hoarders who sought to kill the vampire, but one of their members betrayed the group to save them, and together they took off to mondstadt. after much convincing fron arashi, ritsu joined her in becoming a knight of favonius, still keeping up their search for their sibling all the while.
sora harukawa: 17, anemo catalyst, inazuma. an active member of the resistance who is often sent traveling across inazuma for its sake despite his young age. lives a ‘on the run’ kind of life, but thoroughly enjoys it and all he does for the resistance in hopes that he will get to see the vision hunt decree finally fall. still possesses his vision and wears it openly, but often hides tsumugi’s on his person as tsumugi entrusted him with it.
arashi narukami: 18, geo polearm, mondstadt. originally a treasure hoarder, she is the one who betrayed her group to protect and save ritsu from being executed when the rest of the group feared the vampiric creature. when the two escaped her former group, arashi brought up the idea of going to the city of mondstadt, and later the idea of joining the knights of favonius to begin anew. telling ritsu that it might help them find their sibling, the pair passed the trials together, and remain members of the knights to this day.
tatsumi kazehaya: 19, anemo sword, mondstadt. a priest in the church of favonius who was previously a fatui agent. he was a rather notorious one, recruited out of inazuma years ago, and he was known for being rather jaded and cruel in all that he did. however, it was his eventual work partner kaname that persuaded him to see that the fatui ultimately was no good and that there was more to life than dominion and control. so the two fled, and thought kaname suffered a terrible accident in the resulting fight, tatsumi was able to take them to the church of favonius where both were given refuge. he eventually became a priest there after devoting himself to the anemo archon, and remains such to this day.
mayoi ayase: 18, a fatui skirmisher, specifically a pyroslinger bracer. their family originally came from inazuma, but moved to mondstadt years ago as their parents sought to chase dreams of freedom and song and begrudgingly took their child, who they never treated well, along with them. mayoi was later one of the many children taken from mondstadt by the fatui, but unlike their comrades, mayoi survived all they went through. namely experimentation by dottore that turned them into the skirmisher they are now. to this day they serve him, though their fear of him is immense and they dream of escape back into the freedom their home stood for. alas, knowing they are barely human anymore, fear of not finding a place for them in this world (and a fear of retaliation in the event they’re caught) keep them rooted in place. also, unlike other skirmishers, mayoi does possess an electro delusion, even if as part of dottore’s recent experiment to see if skirmishers could handle additional elemental power.
kaname toujou: 18, hydro polearm, mondstadt. they were originally nothing more than a traveling bard under the name himeru, prominent and well-known in mondstadt and even, to a lesser extent, in neighboring nations. however, when finances grew tight, kaname ended up turning to the fatui for business aid, and in turn was forced to work for them in secret. they ended up partnered with tatsumi, a cruel and jaded man, but kaname eventually got through to him and made him see the fatui was hardly worth it. eventually the pair executed an escape plan, though kaname was severely injured in the process. while the rest of the world wrote them off as dead, tatsumi brought them with him to the church of favonius, where the pair was given refuge and kaname was eventually healed. kaname goes on to become a knight of favonius after their recovery, where they remain to this day.
tsukasa suou: 17, pyro sword, mondstadt. as mentioned, he came from a prominent noble family in inazuma known to support baal, with many of its members joining the bakufu. as the sole heir, it was expected that tsukasa would do the same. however, he grew furstrated with this way of life and the vision hunt decree, and thus fled inazuma as a whole. ending up in inazuma, he decided he would join the knights of favonius so he might protect people rather than oppress them as the bakufu would have expected him to do, and later successfully passed their trials to become a knight. after learning of his cousin kohaku’s move to do something similar and suspecting his involvement in the resistance brewing back home, tsukasa began landing financial support to him and the rest of the resistance as much as he could.
yoshiko tsushima: 16, cryo catalyst, inazuma. the daughter of a pair of traveling bards, yoshiko spent most of her childhood alone while her parents performed in other nations. however, when the vision hunt decree began, it was decided all three would flee to find refuge in mondstadt. unfortunately, they were caught by the bakufu, and a scuffle ensued that killed both of her parents when they tried to take back all three visions. yoshiko fled at her mother’s behest, but ended up not only losing part of her memories with her vision, but so traumatized that she assumed the identity of “yohane”, a fallen angel from another world cast from her home into teyvat as punishment for rising up against her god. yohane, seeing baal as just the same as the god she was defeated by, decided she would stay in teyvat to take her down as both a redemption for herself and a proving ground so that she might go home and try again on her god again someday. now she’s a prominent leader of the resistance, though she desperately hides from her peers the truth of her identity and circumstances. obviously, she no longer possesses her vision, but trains with a sword to remain a fighter.
umi sonoda: 17, hydro bow, inazuma. daughter of the noble sonoda family and the sole heir to the sonoda trade association (basically the inazuma equivalent of the feiyun commerce guild), umi grew discontent with her family’s support and aid in the vision hunt decree, as well as that state of inazuma overall. however, since she had not yet assumed the power over the trade association, umi had to seek other means to help the people. to do so, she began to set out at night in a mask and change of clothes, tracking the bakufu’s movements and preventing their acquisition of visions where possible. she also guided fleeing citizens to the crux after striking a deal with its captain, beidou, to take refugees across teyvat for their protection. all of this earned her the title of a “hero”, who was dubbed “aoi” simply for her blue color scheme. umi, however, vehemently denied the title of a hero and tried to prevent any attention begin drawn to her, but to no avail. she was eventually caught and captured, but was saved by members of the resistances before her vision could be taken and she herself executed. from then on, because her family officially disowned her when she was revealed as aoi, umi began to work as an active member of the resistance. still possesses her vision due to the interference of resistance members, but keeps it hidden on her person at all costs.

Custom Toonami Block Week 77 Rundown!
Code Geass: So since Shirley’s dead, Lelouch has a similar thought to Cornelia and blames the power of Geass itself instead of her actual murderer. So instead of using the Geass Order like he planned he decides to say fuck it and burn it all to the ground, completing his Darth Vader transformation by not only killing the men, but the women AND THE CHILDREN AND THE SCIENTISTS (Science is the fourth gender, look it up, it’s in Dr. Stone). But yeah half of this episode is just murdering scientist who granted were making child supersoldiers but also don’t have any weapons, like they have zero security no wonder Cornelia was able to walk right up to V.V. And the Black Knights are pissed about killing civilians but I feel like once the horde of children starts making them shoot each other they should get the picture. Rolo murders all his friends, C.C. murders all her former supports, Dietard puts a ninja hit out on Ohgi and Viletta also wants to kill Ohgi, poor Ohgi the dude has like nothing going for him and just ended up in this fucked up chess game and he’s just some dude that fell in love when he saw Viletta naked (didn’t we all) but anyway V.V. pilots Jeremiah’s Pumpkin Battleship and before Lelouch can make Rolo kamikaze himself for killing Shirley, Cornelia wipes him out anyway in probably her most badass moment in the series, using the Pumpkin Battleship’s Byakugan Blindspot to bring it down. V.V. is dead like five times over but Charles comes out to drag Lelouch into the Spear of Longinus so he can do Human Instrumentality or whatever.
Inuyasha: Naraku’s kidnapped Rin so Sesshomaru will kill Inuyasha for him and Sesshomaru hates two things more than anything: being implied he likes humans, and being told what to do, so he tells Naraku to fuck off and goes to fuck him up. This being one of Naraku’s plans of course Sesshomaru doesn’t actually have a choice in this and the battle is a farce so he can spread bits of himself all over and absorb Sesshomaru like Super Buu did to Mystic Gohan. However Inuyasha’s new powerup lets him throw a wrench in that by breaking his barrier and Kagura has to pretend to fight him even though she just wants the doggy brothers to fuck Naraku up. Also Kohaku and Rin have a cute little interaction while he’s holding her captive and Kohaku sees Sango again which triggers his selective amnesia shit. Like you get the feeling Kagura probably would’ve been a better guard for Rin but Naraku only has so many named demons and Kanna isn’t allowed to do anything so might as well throw Kohaku in there to get bonus mental damage to Sango which only works out if you know they’re going to split up like that. But again, this is one of Naraku’s plans so it’s like 50% torture, 50% just trolling people to fuck with their heads.
Yu Yu Hakusho: Younger Toguro faked his death and ambushes Yusuke’s date with Keiko because the plot just doesn’t want this relationship to happen. Toguro pulls up on a motorcycle which is just kind of weird to see and he takes Yusuke somewhere, idk if they walked or if Yusuke got on the back of the motorcycle but Toguro either tossing his motorcycle away to go walk to a car park with Yusuke or Yusuke holding onto Toguro’s waist while they ride are equally hilarious images. Anyway Toguro demolishes the parking garage while still breaking all the rocks that are about to crush Yusuke just to literally flex on him how much stronger he was than when they fought. It’s weird because Toguro seems to kinda be mad about having to fake a loss but also respect Yusuke as a fighter which is strange since Kuwabara was the one that put in the effort for that fake win. That doesn’t matter though cause it’s DARK TOURNAMENT TIME BABY! One of the most iconic anime arcs ever is about to begin and it’s kinda funny they yadda yadda over a two month training arc like there’s like three minutes of Kuwabara training with Hiei and Kurama (where Kurama is the bad cop ironically enough) and Yusuke training with Genkai again before it’s like “Okay let’s just get to the tournament” like I don’t think I’ve ever seen an anime where they announce the tournament and then go sign up for it in the same episode, usually they milk that shit to really sell the preparation but they go with “Here’s a few scene and Yusuke’s a lot stronger now, take our word for it” which is a funny way to start one of the most epic tournament arcs ever.
Fate Zero: This is an episode I’ve heard a lot about, Iskandar, Saber and Gilgamesh fuck around drinking, the whole thing kinda reads like a fanfiction or a Ghost in the Shell episode since 75% of it is just talking. Gilgamesh is basically like “Yo, see that shit? All that shit is my shit, even if I don’t know what it is, it’s mine, so fuck off.” Iskandar’s like “What could the man who once conquered the whole world want? To conquer the whole world TWICE!” and Saber’s like “Hey my whole country got destroyed cause I was thrown into a role I was grossly underqualified for so, maybe not that?” and this pisses Iskandar off because her regret and martyrdom isolates and enfeebles her, he sees the downfall of nations as inevitable and leadership as something to form a community that emulates their leader, not to isolate the ruler as some lone pillar. Also Kirei’s Assassins jump them and Iskandar uses Unlimited Dude Works to stomp them all. Basically it’s the whole Ling/Bradley discussion from FMA but with more nuance, rulers have to benefit their people but they can’t be so dragged down by it that it destroys everyone involved once that pillar collapses. So Iskandar’s like “Yeah you have a really toxic way of looking at things Saber, I’m out. Stop beating yourself up about what’s already happened.” And Gilgamesh is like “No, let her keep beating herself up, this fun, I’m having fun.” So Saber has the admiration of the villain and the disdain of the hero which is an odd situation to be in.
Konosuba: So this one is an OVA or something I think so we don’t get closure on the whole “Kazuma is going to jail for horny and non-horny crimes alike” subplot but we do get a cute little story about Kazuma slowly getting murdered while basically doing the Higurashi Punishment Games on everyone. Ironically he’s not pervy enough for Darkness or Aqua because he’s just a voyeur for Darkness and Aqua he apparently has no sexual attraction to whatsoever. It’s kind of interesting because a few times one or two of them heavily imply they’d just straight up take his virginity if it’d help and he doesn’t go for it, I don’t know if that’s better or worse than what he actually does but once again the ‘principled scumbag’ archetype comes into play and it’s always fun to see what Kazuma will or won’t do, it tends to be just enough that we’re willing to see him punished but not enough to make us hate him, it’s a surprisingly good balance. Anyway, Darkness is boobs, Kazuma may be a lolicon for Megumin, Yunyun and Wiz are also boobs, Aqua is boner repellant and Kazuma dies anyway because the real wish was the friends we made along the way but real friends are the ones that murder you when you’re a scumbag… or something. On to Season 2 next week!
Sailor Moon Crystal: I’m kind of loving the Evil Tuxedo Mask aesthetic, like the bishie face with the red eyes and the suit is really cool-looking. Anyway Tuxedo Mask is evil now and seduces Usagi all over again with the power of evil and video games. There’s probably a message here about girls falling for toxic boys but that’s the subtext over a lot of Sailor Moon that there’s lots of bullshit out to get teen girls and they shouldn’t waste their energy on it. Usagi’s kind of having an existential crisis over evil Tuxedo Mask and Luna’s feeling bad about calling him evil before and now that he actually is evil she doesn’t know what to do. Anyway he finds Zordon’s Tower by hypnotizing Makoto and we do the full transformation scene and speech for four of the scouts so you really know they were stretching the plot with this one. Usagi gets over herself but it’s too late, Evil Mask has the crystal and summons Queen Beryl by… flapping his cape, guess calling her was that easy, man you’d think they coulda just stomped these guys a long time ago but oh well.
Durarara!!: We leave off where Shizuo just crushed someone with a car door, good times. Celty takes the knife they had, believing it to be Saika but is so superstitious about it she doesn’t even see it’s a crappy Pampered Chef knife that’s like two years old max. Then Haruna, the reporter’s daughter reveals not only did she have a weird relationship with the teacher hitting on Anri but she’s also controlling all the Saika zombies around the city because to swords cutting people is loving them like how sharks bite things to see what they are. She sics her army on Anri and Shizuo separately and goes after her teacher who was just coming to sexually harass Anri again so… yay? Anyway Shizuo says fuck you to being in a polyamorous relationship with hundreds of sword zombies and Anri reveals that Haruna’s Saika isn’t the real Saika because HER Saika is the real Saika, we got katana school girls here folks, it really is an anime after all.

real name: hakudoshi / 白童子 / はくどうし
single or taken: verse dependent | taken in post-rebirth and white assassin (yakuza) verses
abilities or powers: as a demon born from naraku’s flesh, hakudoshi has several abilities and some of them are quite similar to those of his creator’s. he is capable of creating a powerful barrier which cannot be destroyed by inuyasha’s red tessaiga, using said barrier he is also capable of absorbing his opponent’s yoki based attacks and then redirect it back to them. like naraku, hakudoshi is capable of creating his own shoki (miasma) and of quickly regenerating his body right after it was destroyed, this is due to hakudoshi’s heart not being inside of his body therefore he could not die no matter how many times it was destroyed.
another of hakudoshi’s abilities is the telepathy, meaning that he is capable of reading other people’s minds like an open book; this can be prevented if someone with high spiritual power places a mental barrier around their mind. aside from this, he is also capable of telekinesis, with which he is able to move objects with his mind but he is not capable of doing that with really heavy things (demon heads, boulders, etc); hakudoshi can teleport himself and others to several places through the use of portals.
hakudoshi possesses a naginata as a weapon but it does not have any special abilities; despite it being taller than himself, hakudoshi mastered the use of this weapon with ease and often uses it to behead his targets.
after being reborn into a new body, hakudoshi retained most of these abilities aside from the shoki and the instant regeneration, as a demon he is still able to heal himself but it takes hours or even days depending on the size of the wound like other demons. the color of his barrier also changes, instead of being purple in color it is now blue and is not as powerful as the ones he used to be able to create, meaning that this barrier can be destroyed by inuyasha’s red tessaiga.
eye colour: violet
hair colour: rose white
family members: verse dependent
canon verse | naraku (creator/progenitor); kanna (“eldest sister”); kagura (“older sister”); goshinki (“eldest brother”); juromaru (“older brother”); kageromaru (“older brother”); muso (“older brother”); the infant (counterpart/brother); byakuya (“younger brother”). ps.: this hakudoshi does not view the incarnations as his true siblings, aside from the infant, nor views naraku as his father.
modern verse | naraku (father); kikyo (mother)
son of the phoenix verse | hua mulan (adoptive mother); hua zhou (adoptive grandfather); hua li (adoptive grandmother); hua xiu (adoptive aunt)
post-rebirth verse | kohaku (lover); rin (lover); uri (“son”); nadeshiko (“daughter”); shinju (“son”); sumire (biological daughter); mizuki (adopted son)
white assassin verse | kaori makai (mother); shintaro makai (father); akago makai (younger brother); umeko fukuhara (maternal aunt)
pets: not really a pet but entei, a horse demon, is his companion for quite sometime
something they don’t like: being compared to kagura (canon verse)
hobbies/activities: none
ever hurt anyone before: yes, both physically and mentally. physically he has hurt and even killed many, it was part of his job and never felt regret about it; mentally he has hurt people like kagome and kagura with his mind games and playing with the darkness in their hearts.
animal that represents them: fox, because of his cunning and trickster nature. when he is brought back to life, fox demon flesh is used to construct his main body.
worst habits: mocking those he believes are inferior to him but in reality are not. hakudoshi has got a really big ego and believes himself to be invincible because he cannot die (through physical attacks), this ended up being his literal death making him careless about any other possibilities that could actually kill him. When he is brought back to life and after recovering his memories, he becomes more conscious of this habit and tries to change it, he doesn’t become humble but he no longer believes himself to be far superior to others.
role models: verse dependent
canon verse | hakudoshi has no role models, he believes himself to be his own master and therefore he is his “own” role model.
son of the phoenix verse | his role model is without a single doubt his adoptive mother, he respects, loves and wishes to be just like her.
demon mage verse | though he won’t admit it out loud, his role model is erza scarlet, the way she led the rebellion inside the tower of heaven and the way she now leads fairy tail are forever imprinted in his mind.
white assassin verse | koga is his role model in this verse, he taught him everything he knows. koga treats hakudoshi like his protegee and even as his son to some degree, hakudoshi sees koga as his mentor and despite everything they through, he doesn’t mind looking after him and kagura; they are the closest he has to a real family.
sexual orientation: demiromantic
thoughts on marriage/kids: verse dependent.
canon verse | said things are trivial to him, he doesn’t care or spares his thoughts on it.
son of the phoenix verse | it’s not something he thinks very often but as he grows, he finds himself thinking if there is anyone out there that might come to love him the same way his adoptive grandparents and adoptive parents love each other.
post-rebirth verse | despite having been given a second chance in life, one that he promptly grabbed with all his strength to the point of changing most of the way he used to be, hakudoshi never thought he would actually find what humans like to call ‘love’, let alone thinking of children of his own (the only organ he has inside his body is a heart, therefore he cannot reproduce the ‘normal way’). that changed when his interactions with both kohaku and rin slowly intensified; initially he didn’t think a relationship between a demon and humans could actually work until they proved him wrong. through demon ways (mating) he is married to both but when referring them to others he will only refer the term ‘husband’, ‘wife’ or even ‘lover’ to those who know about their relationship; otherwise it is just ‘kohaku’ or ‘rin’, this is mostly to protect them. regarding children, he is extremely awkward with them especially when they are babies (he internally panics if a crying baby is placed in his arms, he is not capable of reading a baby’s thoughts). He cares about kohaku’s and rin’s children but doesn’t have them calling him ‘father’ or any other fatherly terms, though he also doesn’t correct them if they do so. when sumire was born (she was conceived via linking his demonic energy with rin’s human energy), he actually cried for the first time in his entire life though at first he wasn’t even aware of that.
modern days verse | hakudoshi has quite negative thoughts of both marriage and children born inside said marriage. because of what he saw happen with his parents, it made him view marriage as something unhappy and therefore any children born from it is automatically unhappy as well. he doesn’t think happiness can be achieved through marriage or any relationship in general.
white assassin verse | as a small child, hakudoshi witnessed the love and respect his parents held for one another and the way they acted with him and his little brother but even so it never really made him think of wanting something similar. after the death of his parents and the abuses he went through at the hands of his maternal aunt, hakudoshi very much stopped thinking of love in general, it stopped existing for him. That changed when his relationship with rin began growing into something different, at first he couldn’t explain why but he knew he viewed her differently from the other women he had been with (though he had only been with them in a physical way); he found comfort in her the same way she did in him. he wants to give her everything she desires. marrying her is a wish for the future that he is unsure they will have. children is a maybe but he doesn’t want them in this kind of life.
style preferences: in several verses, hakudoshi’s favorite color is without a doubt white and he very much prefers rich fabrics, he won’t wear just anything; he likes to wear practical clothing that doesn’t hold him back in his missions. funny enough, in his modern verses, hakudoshi wears dark clothing.
approach to friendships: he is never the one to approach nor is he easy to approach in that regard, he doesn’t really give the friendly vibe not even after being reborn. he slowly comes to care about those who are closer to him though chances are he won’t say it out loud; in his modern verse he doesn’t easily trust others so friendships with hakudoshi are even harder to happen.
thoughts on pie: he never tried pie before.
favourite drink: mostly tea.
favourite place to spend time at: mountains, forest or the training camps.
swim in the lake or in the ocean: lake.
their type: he doesn’t really put much thought in what his type is especially when his mind isn’t focused in that kind of stuff; he is more for the strong bond or connection first before those kind of feelings even start to develop, he doesn’t actively seeks for that bond.
camping or indoors: no preference.

BASIC INFORMATION CODE GIVEN Peryton REAL NAME Kohaku Otomugi AGE 18 HEIGHT 170 Cm BORN 24 August SOCIAL CLASS Lower Class YEAR 21st Century NATIONALITY Japan FACECLAIM Ishikirimaru
SUMMARY An enhanced human with superstrength, heightened sense and recovering immunity made purely for war purposes. After years grounded under Italy's military laboratory, Kohaku fled to Japan in hope for recovering his original identity while escaping from Italian Government. While doing that, he encountered series of unfortunate events that forces him to show his enhanced ability. He was hired by confidential clients to assassinate enemy. His profit was later used by him to buy medicine to lessen the pain that was caused by the enhancement drugs inside him.
BACKSTORY Kohaku was an orphanage from Japan and was adopted by an unknown parents in a confidential meeting. By the age of 5, Kohaku moved to Italy with his guardians and later learnt that his identity was changed. He was later being introduced to a group of young children around his age who also has been adopted from orphanage from different country. He was given the code Peryton the moment he was registered into the underground laboratory, along with educations and trained with set of skills essential for survival. He and other children immediately becoming Italian government's guinea pigs as they had to suffer through countless of drugs insertion and various of enhancement. In it's worst event, they had to outwit each other to survive another day by annihilating each other. After each years, Peryton passed through all of the experiment and witness his friends dying before him by force.
Eventhough Peryton is successful in all inhuman test, his memories are degrading from time to time, could renderred him into pure rage and uncontrollable as it put him in absolute pain. One of the newly hired scientist in the laboratory, Percivel, somehow managed to cure the pain with injecting him with painkiller fluid, specifically modified for an enhanced human like Peryton. Percivel was curious in seeking the reason behind Peryton's brutal experimentation so he decided to investigate the Government's archive in hoping to find an answer. The scientist later found out that the test subject was a neccessary preparation in case there are war outbreaks or that they needed human to survive apocalypse. It was stated also this experiment was an agreement between Government and Italian Underworld's organization as they acknowledged Japanese's super human's development. For the fear the world might become more dangerous place with more super human emerges to surface, Italian government and Mafia's godfather made an agreement to secure the project's development.
Percivel found the motives are too unbearable and inhumane, so he hassled back to find Peryton in the laboratory. Peryton pleaded to him that he wanted to be free from the torture. Percivel considered his plea and secretly devised escape point for Peryton. Before Peryton escaped, the scientist told him to make a promise to not becoming reckless with his power and act like a normal human. Peryton promised him and no words ever heard from him again after the escape. Peryton fled to Japan but having difficulties on staying stable and have no incomes in order to afford his medicines and treatment in the hospital. He later decided to be an assassin is the only way to be able to pay for the costly treatment.
Modern Verse (Bungou Stray Dogs) – as plotted with pursuingideals (Kunikida Doppo) -my lovely rp partner-
SUMMARY OF THE BEGINNING As Italian government were looking for Peryton, they later confronted Percivel for the misconduct he has done and discharged him. Percivel was satisfied with the discharge and quickly fled to Japan to isolate himself from the eyes of authority for the time being. While doing so, he received rumours of cold-hearted assassin roaming the city. The former scientist later learn out that the assassin could be Peryton that he freed before. At that moment, Percivel was worried because Italian Government was looking all over for him. Aside from that, he realized Peryton broke his promise to act as normal as he could. If Percivel himself able to locate the lost enhanced human, then it could mean the government is ahead in finding him. Before it is too late, he seek help to Detective Agency in the city in hope to meet the young male again and would confront his doings. Percivel along side with Kunikida and other agencies confronted Kohaku during his mission, however it was shortly abrupted by the presence of Italian’s representative; Andrei who was supposed to be Kohaku’s legitimate adopted father. After the resolve, Andrei had to agree to the authority to release Peryton Kohaku into the local authority. Somehow, Kunikida took care of him afterwards.
Modern Verse (Vigilante) Kohaku spent his youth in orphanage together with his friend Noire who were later being taken out by unknown person. By the age of 17, Kohaku was recruited to military and was involved human experiment for the sake of mafia's organization that reign over the state. He was later then sent to the mafia for recruitment. One of his task demanded him to wipe out mafia's traitor. However he became a traitor himself, turning his back on mafia and decided to destroy them.
KOHAKU PERYTON / OTOMUGI HEADCANONS
PERSONALITY Stoic, fearless, stubborn. This young man has a brilliant endurance especially physical and mental (when he is healthy). His soft side also appears when the person he face does not impose any dangerous threat.
||ALWAYS WAR READY|| Kohaku was not educated with moral values during years of experiment, he was not aware of it and lack of idea of how becoming a normal human at the least. Through the trials of his experiment, Kohaku was treated in a way feelings are not concerned, he grew up only to be nurtured with survival instinct and preparing himself for world catastrophe.
ART OF WAR
||HEIGHTENED SENSES|| Eyesight; Kohaku's eyesight was modified to magnify twice than normal healthy eyes can do, three times in its maximum capability. Hearings; Kohaku can also detect waves frequency that inaudible to normal human's ear. Smell, Kohaku could detect substances such as harmful liquid, drugs and even hidden bombs within specific distance.
||FUTURE RESISTANCE|| Kohaku's body will be getting adapted to types of weapon that could harm his body. Over time, after his body recovered while learning to weapon's chemical components, the same type of weapon will slowly loses it's effect the body. For example, Kohaku could survive bombing and remained unscathed once he gain immunity through rapid attacks. More frequent attack will make his recovery rate slower but more effective in later time.
||KNOWLEDGE|| Through experimental and training years, Kohaku managed to learn various type of several languages, intercepting satellite communication, reading secret codes, decryption skill, high-end weapons and technologies, including maneuvering warships and other vehicles.
||MARTIAL ARTS|| Kohaku is well-versed in martial art skills due to constant training given by the government for the sake of surviving experimental phases that was developed by the facility.
||SUPER STRENGTH|| That would include ripping steel doors, destroying walls and other things that normal human hardly able to lift or stand against. Running through walls and making holes on it is normal for him.
WEAKNESSES
||MEMORY LOSS|| Although he have such inhuman strength, Kohaku have a frequent memory loss due to the side effect of enhancement. It would abrupt his progress in completing his task completely. The way to avoid this is only through constant treatment from hospital or painkillers.
||BACK NECK|| His weak and blind spot. Attack him on this particular area will stunned him.
||LACK OF OXYGEN|| Without enough air for few minutes, like a normal human, he will become very weak.
||POISON|| A right poison such as oxidizers seeped through his body can give a devastating chemical reaction. Oxidizers are corrosive substance that will deteriorate his regenetive tissue.
||IMPACT|| Kohaku is not immuned to physical impact even if chance of surviving it is high. People can still stunned him with blunt object or even fists if it is hard enough.
||SOLO PLAYER|| Kohaku has problem in following orders due to the trauma he received during training and experiment. At early introduction to team, Kohaku might not be the best team player as he was more impulsive. This could be changed through proper guidance and orders.

do you ever think about how liftable kohaku is. people can just pick him up and carry him around. this is constantly on my mind
originally i was going to say that kohaku is 168cm of packed assassin muscle so he probably isn't easy to pick up. but then i realised that i may be imposing my midget size on everyone, and 168cm may in fact be a very liftable size as long as you're tall enough, which almost everyone around kohaku is.
anon you really are so right. lots of fanart have rinne picking kohaku up and then getting headlocked, but see madara has already canonically tossed oukawa "i am an assassin" kohaku over his shoulder like a sack of potatos and kohaku didn't break free. maybe it was because they were being chased by souma with a sword so kohaku didn't think it was wise to break free at that moment, but the point is that maybe. maybe kohaku really is too small to stop himself from being picked up even if he's a trained assasin.
kohaku being picked up like a hamster and just puffing his cheeks out angrily... he may be 168cm but he really looks so tiny. pocket-sized. picks him up and cradles him gently in my hands. it's probably a lot to do with how everyone else in his units are tall. if you put him next to nazuna suddenly kohaku doesn't look that small. and also his colour scheme - a cute soft pink and cute soft purple eyes. and also his roundish face shape. and his oversized clothes. just. ugh. kohaku cute.
#asks#kohaku#sometimes i put nazuna and kohaku in stippling and i always laugh at the first few secs when theyre back to back bc nazuna looks SO SMALL#then im like wait wait why does kohaku look so huge now this cant be#and i watch the official mv w madara and lose it bc kohaku rly does look SO SMALL next to madara#AND ALSO HIS DF FIT IS SOOO CUTE ESP WHEN NEXT TO MADARA#cropped tee.. shorts... PINK HAIR... sorry i know thats not part of the uniform thats just him BUT

Gajeel grinned as he snuck up behind Kohaku. One of the best things about being a trained assassin was the fact that despite his build he could move completely silently. Once he was directly behind the younger male, he'd bring out two tins full of whipped cream and smash them into either side of the other male's face.
"Gihee."
Gajeel would smear the whipped cream tins against Kohaku's face a bit before letting them go. Looks like their prank war was starting already.
"That's fer tha fuckin' GLITTER."
At least whipped cream was easy to clean up.
The smol Dragneel tensed and shrieked at the feeling of not only being touched but also at the feeling of cold whipped cream being smeared on him! And smashed into his face!
He growls a bit as he gathers some of the whipped cream and starts sprinting towards Gajeel to throw some at him! Was he mad? Not completely this was family fun, but they were now even as the glitter he threw onto Gajeel will vanish in a few hours since he made them via his magic. Harmless fun!
“OI!! If your gonna pie me at least let me pie you back!!”
The smolneel commits return fire

FictionalxLifexReality’s Wish List for the Kagome Xover Exchange @MizukixTsukiyomi
Here’s my wish list of animes/tv shows/movies/games and characters for the Kagome Xover Exchange! I’m open to any genres out there, although, I’m not too keen on anything that’s too dark or angsty.
I don’t mind receiving NFSW material, but if you ask me to do one, I can’t really say I can do it. I’ll do my best, but I don’t really know how to write one, let alone draw one, without messing up too horribly.
These are all the animes/mangas I’ve watched and read, movies and TV shows I’ve enjoyed watching and games my brothers and I, well mostly my brothers, have played over the years, that I think would be interesting for a xover with Kagome.

Summary: Where do purified beings go? Kagome does not know, not yet, but in darkness with all the pieces of Naraku and Magatsuhi, all the souls trapped within them, and burn of Midoriko and Kikyou's powers beneath her skin she is about to find out. These trapped souls did not ask for this, the Jewell does not care, but Kagome does and they deserve sanctuary.
.
Slightly ordered Notes and Ideas:
Everyone in the blast radius of the Jewell ends up changed in some way or another:
Kagome and Inuyasha become inuyoukai due to skin contact with each other
Sango and Kohaku become bakeneko (or nekomata) like Kirara because Sango is holding Kirara
Miroku becomes a Tengu due to one of the soul shards within Naraku
Shippo is out of the blast radius, otherwise Kagome would have turned into a Kitsune Yokai
Rin became Inuyoukai due to contact with Sesshomaru (is now ackgnowledged as Sesshomaru’s daughter by youkai)
Kagome is now, to youkai senses, a middle sister of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha
Inuyaha loses his Hanyou ears, gains the fluff tail and dark blue single stripes
Naraku becomes a full youkai Tsuchigumo (he becomes Kagome's devoted follower with hero worship, later Kagome’s spymaster, informant and enforcer, as well as assassin)
Kikyou's soul and body end up purified and she gets a new lease on life as a human
Kanna splits off of Naraku as a full demon
Kagura splits off of Naraku as a full demon
Kagome becomes Sesshomaru's tactician, Inuyasha a general, Sango an enforcer, Miroku scribe, Shippo is considered Kagome's son
.
If Sesshomaru is like a government leader then others might take over different sections...
Inuyasha (military, police) - Shippou (military, police)- Sango (special ops, bodyguards) - Miroku (intelligence) - Kagome (advisor, tactician)
Kagome also finds herself with quite the political capital, so she might even be consitered the Lady of the castle, Lord's (Sesshomaru's) sister and would have to quickly become a savvy socialite
.
Then Nuragumi are the yakuza, the underbelly of society
Who due to Kagome x Nurarihyon end up working closely with Sesshomaru's guys, Kagome being their liaison, Naraku is spy network all on his own and through Kagome works on both sides
.
In this AU/Crossover Wakana and her friend Kiyone are a part of a biker gang, which naturally gets included later on so Nura gets another criminal branch.
.
Shippou x Youhime children end up becoming pirates so there's even more branching out going on - though they're more like privateers given their ties to Sesshomaru
.
Then there is the Higurashi Order, the ones with holy powers and Miko heritage who are trained to be warriors against youkai etc. or to ensure safe heavens for youkai on their side -depending on how closely they hold Kagome's values
- they are her ancestors and eventually her descendants as well - through her brother's children
.
Trying to think of reasons Hagoromo Kitsune didn't go after the jewel….
She was born in Midoriko's time and as such would know it existed and that it was powerful, but in the beginning a lot o people died (including youkai) trying to get it or after getting it and it would often eat the youkai who handled it
later it looked dormant and it's power turned inward, so youkai believed it's wish gifting power disappeared, plus as it was being protected by tayija it was just too much of a hassle
when it was with Kikyo it had periods of active energy, but many thought it to be because of the miko, many speculated it would start eating miko now, after it ate demons (this was one of the reasons tayija kept it instead of it going to miko)
when it disappeared it was believed it would be gone for good, after taking the life of a priestess
then Kagome shows up and shards scatter, Hagoromo is dead during this time, only just recently died, so while her subordinates try and fail to get shards without being corrupted by them (some later eaten by Naraku some purified by Kagome) she can't really do anything about it
then final battle happens and jewel is no more, this time for good, and Kagome becomes a feared power, much like Sesshomaru, Western lands gain many powerful youkai - the changed inutachi
.
In this AU it is Shippou not Nurarihyon that Hagoromo attempts to curse, because he's the one who came after Youhime, Kagome came after him along with Nurarihyon, but Kagome cuts her curse off, protects Shippou with her holy powers and snatches a sutra slapping it over Hagoromo's mouth, which weakens the curse and allows her to dissolve it.
by the time Kagome arrives at the capital Shippou has already been there for at least two months, visiting Youhime, Kagome teases him about it, but realizes he's serious about asking her to be his mate
Hagoromo has no time to even attempt to curse Kagome or Nurarihyon, which would fail anyway
later, she attempts to kill Rihan - at the same time she killed him in canon , only in another body, but Yamabuki finds Kagome in time.
When he's attacked by Hagoromo, a ring, Kagome's father's wedding ring, that she carried on her person since she was 6 so it gained Luck - and later gave to her eldest son - prevents it from being an instant kill wound, Kagome gets there in time to save him.
this brings Hagoromo to Nuragumi's attention once again and makes Kagome take extra time to train all her children and grandchildren in holy arts, as well as ask Miroku to help her make more protective charms and sutras
.
There are tonnes of OCs for this thing - I love thinking up fanbabies sue me :p
I will be posting minor snippets, no beta, not much editing - might never become anything more than that
Snippets for stories that might never get written!
You’ve been warned!
