it hated that I tried to answer your question with a bunch of links, so a new post it is!

so I can answer some of these!

if you're looking for a prankster, that's Jonathan Marchessault.

He and Fleury were close, but also Marchy is just. A funny, joke-y guy. He once stole/hid guys sticks during practice. He makes weird noises, he is friends with everyone. He never stops talking. if anyone is chirping anyone, it's Marchy. He yapped at ryan lomberg for being short last year during the playoff run. Ryan Lomberg is 5'9" and Marchy is LISTED as 5'9" but if he is that tall i'll eat my fucking hat. He's not that tall. He's short. I also think that this video from the quest for the cup series last year is very indicative of some of the dynamics between Marchy & Jack, and several other guys! Jack comes in looking very nice in a suit, and several guys go "oh jacky!!" Known Marchessault associate Keegan Kolesar snaps his fingers at Jack, while everyone else just laughs. Marchy says that "they want to see your boxers too" and then does the meanest little laugh i love him so much. the mic'd up linked above is really good, even though it's a couple of years old - most of those guys are still here (except smitty & max) and smitty was. absolutely essential to Marchy's development in Vegas. But the part I'm referencing is "I blew it" / "you blew it." Marchy & Keegan often have this hilarious back and forth, they're so witty together, i love them.

If there's a dad of the group it's Mark stone (everyone thought he had kids before he had kids) Petro (alex pietrangelo), and Martini (alec martinez). They have the MOST dad energy.

Martini has this like, really dry kind of cutting sense of humor. This interaction between petro and martini where they talk about sitting next to each other is like. Martini is being SO cutting but with the warmest voice you've ever heard in your entire life. And Petro is saying the nicest things but you KNOW they're sarcastic. the same but coming in from exact opposite approaches.

This video with about half the guys answering the question of "who would you trust to guide you in NYC" is VERY good. Petro says Howie (brett howden) or Martini, but ultimately chooses martini. You can see a lot of things at play here, some of which I'll get to later (i'm lookin at you paul cotter), but you can see: a lot of guys trust Martinez to get them around, because he's just got that. Competent Dad Vibe. Like it might be rocky, but you're gonna get through it. Petro is less "it's gonna get rocky" but still "you're gonna get through it" vibes.

Now Mark: I have to tell you a couple of facts about Mark Stone:

he loves golf. He has no concept of what a "weird" story is. Everyone, to a man, loves him so much. Mark cannot smile on command - he just shows all his teeth. Mark is SO weird. He changes his gloves every period bc he doesn't like his hands to get wet. He tapes his stick into such an abomination (bc he loves golf, seriously, compare his stick handle to a golf club. they are the same). He meowed right before the cup picture to make everyone smile and it worked. Mark Stone is the weirdest dad you've ever met, and he's still somehow really cool. Part of the appeal is that he has No Fucking Clue how or why people love him so much. He gets so hype on the ice, but he is insanely chill off of it. He cringed when they dumped too much beer on him in the cup celebrations. He named his child scarlett. That's right. Scarlett Stone. Red Rocks. He named his kid Red Rocks. The ultimate dad joke. He tells a story about Robin Lehner at a party in his back yard for the end of the year, where Ryan Reaves said that he didn't like snakes. So Robin goes outside to try to bring one up and then Mark had 5 snakes in his pool. Witness a man realize he's telling a story he didn't realize before he was telling it is weird in real time. This is the essence of Mark. I LOVE him.

Ok ok ok so. There's KIND OF a butt to the joke guy? but he's also like. SO beloved? VGK is an incredibly inclusive and accepting group. There's not really like. a clique-ish culture at all - they were so new a couple of years ago that the culture they built is "you're here, welcome, come on in" and never looked back. Everyone who's been traded there has said so.

That being said: it's Paul fucking Cotter.

They love to make fun of him, but in a way where if anyone else made fun of him, they'd beat them up. Paul is. Special. He has a trainer dump water all down his back so he gets the zoomies. In the quest for the cup episode, since he wasn't playing in the final, he told a story before video review about his hole in one with everyone egging / cheering him on. As seen in the above video, nobody trusts paul to find his way out of a paper bag. He stole his HSK captain (brayden Pachal, traded to the flames)'s car keys. Pachal took his car in return. He put boulders in front of the doors of Jack's car so he couldn't get in them. I know both of these facts are in the primer but they're ESSENTIAL to Paul. He's a prankster. He's a doofus. He loves goalies SO MUCH. He's friends with LT, they went on a supervised date. They were in HSK around the same time, and Paul loved doing the shootout, and LT loved doing the shootout so they did extra shootout practice together.

Re: get togethers: i am pretty sure that they all do it at random. Mark will host a big party (referenced above) but since they didn't have a captain for so long, it's just. a shared responsibility. Mark loves feeding people tho. So i wouldn't be surprised if he just. does that.

Re: Newbies I can answer!! For Noah Hanifin, Mark and a bunch of other guys went to pick him up from the airport, but when Jack was traded to VGK, he was met at the hotel with just the Viva Girls. Mark was met at the airport with the Viva Girls. The Viva girls are the official welcoming party, btw. Everything else is probably who's available / by committee. Hanifin & Hertl got mark bc he was on LTIR. Petro picked up Barbashev i'm pretty sure bc they knew each other from St Louis. Robin took Jack out to eat bc a) he was on LTIR and b) they knew each other from buffalo.

Wild Bill is Marchy's best friend and that's not a joke. Marchy, Karly, Shea (along with Alex Tuch, now in Buffalo and Deryk Engelland, retired) owned a restaurant together. Karly seems quiet, but he's just as funny as Marchy. He loves Star Wars & his dog's name is Obi-Wan.

I feel like there's a lot of info about Jack out there, but he really did become uh. More fun in VGK? Now that he's not the guY THE GUY that buffalo expected him to be (connor mcdavid). he proposed the idea of the wig + glasses during the end of the season & post season last year. Jack is SO funny. He loves memes. Idk. I feel like Jack is probably the one Golden Knight that everyone knows the most about and I'm not gonna tread any new ground here.

Shea is just a guy and i love him so much for it. I'm not the best person to ask about it, sorry. He always looks like he's being punished / upset about something except when he's smiling. It's soo cute. When shea took the cup to his house in vancouver, he took pictures of it with his neighbor. VERY sweet guy, very cute.

i LOVE LT. He's got really sick tattoos. He loves shootouts. he and Paul are really good friends.

Timeline of GGDD Love

Hi yall. This is the index post for the BTS in Order posts. This is the post to bookmark if you want to refer to it later! (The first chunk is just copypasta from the April intro. Read More to get to the links)

I've looked for timelines of the bts before, but what I've found relies heavily on video clips, many of which I don't have access to. So I decided to make a text-focused timeline in English for the bts because I'm all up in my hyperfocus.

I mainly used this playlist on billibilli, though I also looked at a few other playlists (I didn't keep links, I suck). If I came across a video/reference w another date listed for the clip, I added the alternate date in parenthesis at the end. I chose to primarily follow this playlist bc it has a LOT of clips, has clips for every day, and doesn't have anything that immediately jumps out at me as wrong. I also cross-referenced with accio-victuuri's BJYX Timeline bc it's the most complete English timeline I've seen, and I respect the effort involved. And I ultimately I triple-checked against this weibo timeline. Again, alternate dates noted in parenthesis. Not all sources always agreed.

(the note on the primary playlist has this as its explanation of its dating: 广告以官宣日期为整体依据,若跨年度拍摄,则以最新发布日期为依据整理。Which Google translates to "The advertisement is based on the official announcement date as a whole and, if shot across the year, on the latest release date." I can't parse that so *shrug*)

I've listed out the bts scenes by date. I try to describe the known scenes, though I don't list out in detail EVERYTHING that happens (if I say "Xuanwu cave, bondage conversation", I assume you all know everything else that happens around that moment)(Though sometimes I get hype and fangirlish in the descriptions). A lot of scenes were unknown to me, so I tried to describe the setting, costumes, and vaguely what's happening. Most of the scenes I did recognize had more to the clip than the ones I've seen translated.

As none of what I watched had translations, I can't provide much context with that, I'm afraid. I also do not think these are in order within a day. I don't have any way to tell, so the timeline within the day, itself, is probably wonky.

I only included bts for the most part, not stuff the boys were doing outside the production. Everything's color coded. Scenes with only gg are in red. Scenes with only dd are in green. Scenes with both are orange (yellow just isn't readable, sorry). (If there's text with no color, just assume it's the same as the last colored text)

I wrote this literally by going back and forth between billibilli and Google Keep, so the notes are a little off the cuff. Let me know if you have questions or if you don't understand something. Or if you can't identify a particular bts scene you're curious about.

People are also completely free to take this and flesh it out if they want by adding the non-bts stuff. Any mistakes are mine. People are free to correct it as well. Basically, consider this public property for other turtles. So take it, make it your own, create a comprehensive google sheet that details everything in pretty color-coded order with media links that are cross-referenced, filterable, and sortable or whatever (PLEASE SOMEBODY DO THIS).

3 oneshots, 1 new WIP, and updated 1 WIP. this was definitely one of my least "productive" years for fic-writing in quite a while (although i don't think i published much in 2022 either, looking back). for obvious reasons: i was traveling for more than half the year; and also Riverdale canon was so fucking awful to our ship specifically that i think it just killed off everyone's desire to read and write about them. thanks RAS! <3

4. What was your longest fic? Your shortest fic?

longest: i feel like i win when i lose, my bughead four weddings & a funeral-inspired fic. 16,379 words (and i need to finish the last chapter ahhhhhhhhhhhhh)

shortest: honeymoon phase, my (very first!!) jimmy/kim fic. 1,927 words.

5. What was your most popular fic? Your least popular?

even though it kind of feels like cheating, head underwater was most popular, because even though i started it years ago, i updated it in 2023!

for least popular, if we're going by kudos, it was three conversations about one thing, which was my desperate attempt to make some sense out of the penultimate episode of riverdale s7 lol

6. What fic didn't perform as well as you thought it would?

honestly, i try to keep my expectations low for everything i publish, to avoid disappointment. i guess the answer would be that last one, "three conversations." but like, the show's ending sucked? i'm not surprised people were not dying to run out and read fic about it 😂

7. What fic performed way better than you thought it would?

i really did not know what to expect from posting a Better Call Saul fic. the show ended over a year ago, and i don't really have much of a sense of how big/active the fandom around it is, or was at its peak. that said, i was EXTREMELY happy to discover that there are way more fics for Jimmy/Kim than there were for the last "prestige"-y show ship i wrote for (Peggy/Stan on Mad Men).

so, all that to say, i was really pleasantly surprised to get as much engagement as i did with that little story! and i'm working on another one now and really enjoying writing it. :)

8. What was your favourite fic you wrote in 2023?

i feel like i win when i lose!!!!!!! the first four chapters of that story just FLOWED out of me like they already existed. it was so much fun to write and i think it's a super fun story in general. i reeeeeeally want to finish it.

9. What was your favourite fic someone else wrote in 2023?

Beautiful Broken Things by teaandpinkfrosting: a well-written, well-plotted, sweet, emotional, in-character season 1 Bughead fic in the year of our lord 2023? WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THIS?

Eighty-Six Years by jimmymcgools: a grounded, believable, heartwrenching, yet ultimately hopeful continuation of the most devastating finale i've ever watched in my life? again, WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THIS? [ETA to be extra clear that the finale i'm referencing here is bcs NOT rvd lol]

The detail of Ross holding his hand open for reader to squeeze as she walked past… I’m obsessed. I have 2 things to say.

Ross’s girlfriend in a girl group. They release a song and the lyrics are very much about Ross (talks about his height. How big he is. How GOOD he is in bed). And Matty delights in quoting the lyrics to Ross on stage. I like the idea of Ross posting a pic of him and his gf to ig w a caption related to the song.

My other thing to say is pls can you write a whole blurb ab subtle PDA between u and Ross, similar to the hand open thing bc oh my god that ruined me.

this has so much potential to be another ross universe... much to think about and Ponder hmmmmmm. also initial thingy can be found here! and yes i'll answer both things here

first part: obsessed with this, and obsessed with the thought that you rocked up to a writing session the day after the best sex of your life and went "i have an idea". also obsessed with you having to tell ross about the fact that you've written a song about him (not for the first time, to be fair) and how sexy he is, because if he's not cool with it then it'll go unreleased - he blushes like crazy when he reads the lyrics, but he secretly loves it, and even from a rough demo he's like "no this is a hit you have to release this song babe". i'm not going to attempt to write it, but i'm imagining the lyrics being chock-full of sex references (charli's like "this makes my banana split lyric look TAME" when she hears them), with a lot of them being really quite intricate metaphors and some others just like on the vibe of "yeah i'm getting bent over daily" - george and matty are simultaneously scandalised, jealous of how good these lyrics are ("we've been writing sex shit like this for twenty years and you outdo us with it on your first attempt smh"), and deeply deeply in love with the song and the way it's constructed/performed. as you said, matty (who is a known stan of your band btw) relishes the opportunity to pester ross with the lyrics onstage; when he introduces/credits the band, he starts singing one of the lyrics from it before he says ross's name, and ross just smirks and raises his eyebrows while the crowd go nuts (like i said, ross secretly loves it). and the fans (and your friends) go even more nuts when ross posts a pic of you and him all sexy and ready for date night on insta with the lyrics referenced or paraphrased in the caption - the best thing about it, though, is that he posts it the morning after date night, from bed, where the two of you are curled up sweaty and exhausted after a looooooong moment of ross proving your lyrics right lmao

second part: i think the subtle pda thing started because you and ross didn't make your relationship public until you had been together for a while, for whatever reason, but the nature of your job meant you guys would run into each other at events and you needed a little way to show affection while still maintaining your privacy. little squeezes of thighs under tables, three little tiny taps on the other's hand to say "i love you" when passing drinks to each other, trapping the other's leg between yours under the table to keep them close... a lot of stuff like that. and there were less subtle moments as you got drunker - ross resting his head on your shoulder to snuggle you under the guise of being tipsy and tired, asking about new developments in each other's careers (that you already know about lol) in order to give yourselves excuses to give long "congratulatory" hugs, cheek kisses hello and goodbye that accidentally seem to land on the corners of lips. obviously now you're openly a thing, you don't need to do all that, but the quick little touches are great for red carpets and moments where you have to be a bit more professional as members of your respective groups. but you can't go without touching ross, and he's the same with you - you just love each other too much to let it go unaddressed at any point lol <3

this might be getting too far into spoilers territory, but i'm so curious about the wriggle up on dry land equivalent of that scene in 1x10 where ted sees jamie and his dad in the treatment room after the match. because like, i can kind of understand the reasoning behind not intervening or really bringing it up again when jamie's an adult, even if that probably wasn't the best way to handle it, but i can't imagine ted would respond the same way when it's a child in that situation.

the thing about me is that if people wanna know i do not have any qualms at all about posting spoilers for my own fic slkdjfs i am happy to talk about literally whatever people wanna talk about and yes that is!! yes that is QUITE the thing. i'll get into it under a cut in case anyone else happens to care about spoilers ig! but yeah overall you're right i can sorta get what the thought process was from a like, in-universe 'trying to make sense of what went on there' standpoint in canon but it is. very different when it's a 15 year old as opposed to a 23 year old.

this is one of the major changes that had to be made to that episode for the au and specifically changes made to jamie's role in the episode's story. it is still the first time that ted meets james - though it's not actually our first time meeting james in the narrative, because we will actually see him before then in the fic - and it is still a somewhat worrying encounter, but it's far less like... violent. cause like i said while i can. sort of. get my head around ted deciding that it was a better choice for everyone to not get involved in 1x10 on the show (while i do think it was handled weirdly and this is pure extrapolation bc the show literally never addressed that or referenced it again) i can't see him seeing a kid get shoved around and screamed at and have shit thrown at him and not like. doing something about it.

so when this happens in the fic, jamie came to the match with his dad rather than being in it as a player for city (obvs). after the match, he seems like he's going to get a moment to interact with ted alone but before he can, james comes around the corner and interrupts. and is very like... he immediately makes a few jokes at ted's expense, then starts steering jamie away with a hand clamped on his shoulder. he's squeezing pretty hard but ted can't really get a good sense of what's going on, one moment jamie looks like he's got something to say the next he's being pulled away and his dad is kind of. needling him about not being happy that city won. he's actually pretty upset about richmond's relegation, though he's trying to hide it (and not having much success with that). (he still had a hand in what happened with them losing that match and with roy getting taken down, though obviously in a different way lmao.) (it's a little complex and a little 'just go with me on this one' slkdfjs)

so james is giving him shit about being upset, needling him about it in a way that's kind of like. laughing at him but not being overtly aggressive but it's a shitty kind of 'making fun of my kid for being upset' that is obviously bad news. he's being steered around by his shoulder but it's not clear it's painful or anything, just kinda. controlling. so it's overall a sense of this is a deeply unpleasant person who is not very nice to his kid but it's a fast interaction that leaves ted feeling kind of bowled over and there's... it's shitty and worrying but it's not like. Alarming to the level of being able to do anything about it like what happened in canon would be. and then they're gone.

which is when ted does the only thing he can think to do which is quickly run into his office to grab a jacket jamie left behind when he left richmond in the first place, scribble a note that includes his number (just in case), and shove it and the army man in an envelope, tuck it in the pocket, and send beard with it to catch jamie before he leaves.

hii! you're welcome for the dick grayson obsession, he never leaves once he's got his claws in you :) (in advance sorry, this answer became long lmaoo i ramble when i first get started)

i'm not reading the comics in any specific order, mostly bc DC canon is all over the place and things are added then never brought up again or added as a big part of the character's canon by one writer and then removed from canon by the next writer. dick's origin story alone changes a bit nearly every ten years at this point (he's anything from 9-12 when he starts as robin; he moves out on his own in some comics and is fired and kicked out in others; he drops out of college in some comics and has multiple degrees in others; 84 years of comics and different writers means consistency is out the window lmao)

ive mostly read the comics out of order (idk what the order is) based on what i find interesting at the moment

i read the nightwing (2016) comics first bc they were newest when i started reading (had like 40 issues i think when i started reading), but in general i've read the comics by discovering storylines that sounded cool or interesting and then tracking down the comics that had those storylines. e.g.; the blockbuster&tarantula storyline, the mirage storyline, that one comic where robin!dick almost kills green lantern lmao, generally the comics that are especially angsty between bruce and dick, etc. (i admit ive prioritized the comics i can use as inspiration for angsty nightwing fanfiction lmaoo)

but tbh with how inconsistent DC is with canon, i dont think you lose out on the experience by reading out of order - and references to other comics get "footnotes" within the comic itself anyway so when those pop up you can always pause the current read and go read the relevant stuff that was referenced from other comics

idk if this helped at all soz, im definitely not the expert of what order to read nightwing bc i never tried it sksks. but i'd recommend having a list somewhere of comics you've read when you get into it, bc he's got 84 years worth of them and it's easy to lose track (speaking from experience)

i think there may have been a slight miscommunication here tho - im not complaining that five's character is, in part, "jaded assassin" and "old man". im complaining that the writers don't have the confidence to let us come to that conclusion ourselves.

five was exposed to 45 years worth of air pollution & city wide fire smoke. its a pretty big fandom hc that five is against smoking bc of this. ofc the writers don't have to bow to fanon interpretations but it does feel a bit weird seeing five pick up that cigar considering his implied relationship to smoke. plus theres the wildly obv connection to his abusive dad here since they're reggies cigars.

& there is canon evidence to back up his disinterest in smoking. he makes time to find copious amounts of alcohol but he never touches drugs (klaus) or cigarettes (smoke).

that aspect of the scene felt to me that the writers were handing five a prop to make him look older, instead of trusting that the audience can remember that he is 58.

ik theres other interpretations of this - hes subconsciously mimicking reggie to try to intimidate viktor, hes consciously trying to make himself appear older to intimidate viktor, hes picking up smth familiar/taboo to ground himself etc etc

in general i didn't like the scene bc it made five feel very hypocritical when he's usually pretty self-aware. he knows killing is bad, he knows hes a bad person, he knows a lot of what he does hurts himself and the people around him. yet he tells viktor off for doing the one thing five has actively defended himself for doing - going off alone and killing people for the betterment of the family.

i do fluctuate on this opinion tho, as in context with his later positive treatment of viktor its p ok and a good character moment for viktor. mostly it stresses me out when five threatens his relationship with his siblings.

motivations def hard to get back and i think sometimes i Do have to force myself to sit down and write Something (my writing prof in college called it "butt in chair hours" bc it helps build a habit of sitting down and writing), but i know if its not coming then i need to lay off and not force myself too hard.

digital paintings are an iPad (idk the model or anything, i can check and get back) + an apple pen! its technically my mothers but i'll borrow it sometimes.

admittedly i need to go back onto my posts and edit them with a link to pictures because technically i'm not really an artist as much as i'm someone who's learning (but im not getting any reblogs for my silly drawings and i don't really tag them). i grew up drawing stuff based off of certain anime styles, and ive kinda moved toward realism more in recent years as a way of practicing anatomy better. when i work on an ipad, i end up tracing pictures because i'm usually doing it for practice on shading n whatnot. like this was traced from a pic of baeseung with a puppy (i'd have to see if i can find it online--he posted it to weverse and i usually save his cute face), this was pulled from a pic of chris where i wanted to do some practice on painting vaguely, but my traditional stuff like this cheollie and this hao were referenced (the hao one doesn't have a ref pic w it since i was working off a screenshot of a gif--i'd have to find the gose episode and get the screenshot myself).

i dont rly view myself as an artist tbh as much as i'm just someone who enjoys drawing and is trying to learn more. all i can rly offer is just what other ppl have said in the vein of "practice practice practice"

Will beat a man with his fists, ate him, set someone up to be killed or to kill, set someone up to be set on fire, because of Hannibal's influence on him changing him, so I don't think it's fair to Will changed Hannibal much more than Will changed him. TWOTL was not a moral event horizon for Will, what he couldn't live with was the level of commitment it showed to Hannibal, he accepted it was beautiful, but if he kept on living he would have turned into a monster. Will has done worse things.

Also, his marriage was actually a sign of Hannibal changing Will, because Will would have never seeked out companionship like that if it wasn't for Hannibal, Hannibal helped him get over that fear of himself. But also it was doomed because of Hannibal, he would always be drawn to him, and it was only a matter of time before Will realised it. Or so the cast and crew say.

lol I assume you've seen one of my few Hannibal posts that got a bunch of notes? As far as I remember the post you're probably reacting to was basically me counterpointing the common take that Hannibal either full on brainwashed Will, or otherwise psychologically influenced him into becoming a killer.

My point was that Will has always had sadistic tendencies ("I liked killing Hobbs," back in episode 2), Hannibal tried to manipulate him into believing himself to be a killer to encourage his freak flag to fly, failed, and then Will started to let his freak flag fly anyway, specifically because he wanted to hurt/kill Hannibal in season 2.

So yeah sure in that sense Hannibal changed him, but not through any conscious machinations or deliberate exertion of ~influence~ on Hannibal's part, just through painting a target on his own back by killing Will's friends and framing him. And he didn't change Will's core justice-based sense of morality, he just inadvertantly gave Will more justification for and practice in exercizing it in violent ways.

Will on the other hand successfully manipulated Hannibal throughout season 2, deliberately making Hannibal emotionally dependent on him, to the point where even after Hannibal realized what Will had been doing Hannibal couldn't move on, got self destructive, threw away everything he used to live for, and voluntarily went to jail, forsaking literally everything else he values in life.

(Just as a fun illustration, note that Will's line to Hannibal, "You saw to it that I alienated Alana, alienated Jack. You don't want me to have anything in my life that's not you," is a lie when he says it. By Tome-Wan Jack and Alana are on his side and it's Hannibal who's alienated from both, with Will as his sole confidant who he can show his real self to - "Don't lie to me." Aside from a teenage girl, I guess lol. Like the point is that Hannibal tries, but Will is successful.)

I will grant that the narrative often suggests, in roundabout ways, that they had an equal influence on each other, but the show occasionally tells us things it otherwise fails to show imo lol, or sometimes suggests multiple opposing ideas. For example, how about the line: "Influence works best on those unaware - Will Graham has been very aware." It seems to suggest that Hannibal didn't actually have much influence on him, so what is the truth?

Like let's be real, this show is pretty damn oblique and sometimes borderline contradictory. So I'm not necessarily arguing that this is what the creators intended us to take away from the story, I'm just arguing that this is what's shown to us.

This is overly simplified ofc but boiling it down I think it's fair to say that Hannibal's influence, such as it is, was an inadvertant result of villanizing himself after failing to deliberately manipulate and influence Will. His biggest part in helping turn Will into a killer was basically being a guy Will really wanted to kill lol. Will's influence, on the other hand, was an orchestrated scheme complete with fishing metaphors, and successful in all except arresting Hannibal.

And as for the cast and crew, when I was into the show Fuller, Dancy, and Mikkelsen all often had contradictory takes on the story and characters lol, so I don't really care what they think. For the record I always thought Mads Mikkelsen had the best takes, and Fuller's were often the least convincing to me for whatever reason.

Hello Angie! I hope you're great...So, I love watching people drawing and painting and I'm curious about the process of finding your own style. How was your process on finding your own style? Have you ever feell like a copycat on some moment of your artistical journey?

imma start off by saying that i am still figuring out *my* artstyle and i find my art to be very, very, very inconsistent at this point. i do have some specific traits that i guess kinda characterize my art and make it ✨mine✨ but i don’t think i have a super recognizable style, working on it tho ☝️ hopefully one day i’ll post something and someone’ll go “OHH THAT WAS TOTALLY DRAWN BY ANGIE I CAN TELL FROM THE STYLE” but that day is probably centuries away-

rather than calling it my art style, i’m using “my art traits”, and the process of finding them and standardizing them in my brain was totally done through experimenting! and probably the most important thing for me is lighting and shadows, and i am super inspired by the painter caravaggio and i’ve done studies of his painting ever since i was in school. my mom went to art school and graduated from an important art academy so i’ve kind of always done studies on artistic movements and stuff like that bc my house is literally falling down from the amount of art books my mom collected over the years since she was a teen 💀💀 still got some of her original school textbooks as well. and that’s where i draw most of my inspiration really! i am mostly inspired by impressionism and macchiaioli as far as movements go. also was pretty obsessed with doing studies of degas’ ballerinas some years ago when i was still doing traditional art and painting with actual paint LOL but that’s how you learn! through being a “copycat”!

i feel like there’s such a huge issue in the art community with “copying/referencing” when really it’s the only fucking way to learn, period. how do you learn anatomy? by copying a real human body. how do you learn how to paint lights and shadows? by copying how light hits objects in real life. how do you learn how to paint backgrounds? by copying real environments. i’ve never really felt like a “copycat” per se bc imho referencing IS fundamental and it’s impossible to learn without it, anyone who says otherwise is straight up lying LOL or trying to make themselves look ✨cool and gifted that they never need references✨ or whatever

but yeah experiments experiments and more experiments and trying out techniques and following tutorials over and over again until you start to pick up on things and do them automatically and give them your own twist by more experimenting, and boom, art style

Hey, so I made this one shot ages ago because of #LateLateStyles which I published on Wattpad. Decided to post it here as well. xx enjoy (If anyone's reading it nway)

You and Harry were known to be great friends when he started his music career and you on acting and there was always a rumor that you and him were dating because you were always seen with him.

Whether its late night in the club, a lunch at the finest dining restaurant or even each others date on a award show or premiere night. But you both don't confirm it and dont talk about it making it a bit awkward for both of you especially when paps straight up ask you about it.

You always had this thing for Harry and you were always inconsistent that he has feelings for you too, since you always see him with some model or rumored to be dating with other girls. (Kendall Jenner was out of the rumors since you knew she was with somebody else and they were just great friends since you and her were also friends)

You were aware that Harry was on the Late Late Night with James Corden all week as he told you when you were talking in the phone. (You didn't have time to catch up personally since he's been having shows for his debut album and you were busy on a new movie) and surprisingly, he and James Corden (Who was also a really good friend of yours back from Harry's hometown, Cheshire) invited you over the show as a guest. As usual, both of you and Harry's fans have been dying to see the premiere of the show since they released the teaser.

And now, you were in the studio. 5 minutes before the show starts and you were with your assistant who has been gushing and teasing you about Harry for almost an hour.

The first segment of the show is you and Harry in the monologue that was usually done with James.

"Okay (Y/N), Get ready for your queue with Harry." The organizer calls out on you and you give him a thumbs up and went behind the curtain where you meet the suit claded man who was already smirking at you.

"You look sexy-- ow!"

"Stop Harold. Be professional for once- but thank you," you stuck your tongue at him after slightly slapping him in the shoulder.

"All the way from Cheshire and Wolverhampton England.. Give it up for your hosts, Harry Styles and (Y/N) (Y/L/N)!" A loud applaud was heard and you put on my greatest smile and I saw him smile, a cheeky one.

The curtain opened and you walked with a little bit of dance with Harry making you giggle with him as he continues to dance.

The music stopped and the audience calmed a bit and Harry started his queue.

"Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen and Welcome to the Late Late Show! We have a good one for you tonight, I'm joined with my good ol' friend, the ever so beautiful, (Y/N) (Y/L/N)!" He looked at me with a smile and you poked him in the cheek and laughed a little which made the audience cheered again.

"I know! We look good together but calm down." Harry jokes making the audience laugh a little and calmed a bit after.

"A little more! A little more!" He ushers the audience making you playfully glare at him your hands in your waist.

"What?" He mouths jokingly at me and you shake your head at him, waiting the audience to finish the cheer.

"Calm down people!" You joke and eventually the audience calmed down and you started your queue.

"Today we'll be doing what we usually do, we'll talk about the news!" you air quoted the usually part and laughed a bit.

The monologue finished afterwards and you, Harry and James were getting ready for the next one, the talk.

The director made the queue pointing out 3 fingers one by one and James spoke afterwards.

"Welcome back to the Late Late Show, we're joined again with Mr. Harry Styles and the iconic Ms. (Y/N) (Y/L/N)!" you smile at the audience and waved a little.

James started to ask questions about Harry which you made a few comments now and then. After a while, it was your part of the questions.

"So (Y/N), I heard you accepted a new project, a movie to be exact." James tells you holding his cards.

"Yeah, It was last week when I heard of the project and the plot is amazing, I know everybody was going to love it. I can't say anything about it yet but yeah, we started shooting a couple days ago at New York." you gleefuly answered, it was nice being back at the big screen again as you can say so yourself

"Well you heard her folks, she's shooting at New York go and barge her there" James jokes making the audience laugh at him, "And I also heard you invited Mr. Styles over here to the set of the movie aswell,"

The screen showed some pics of me and Harry. Me on getting ready to act one of my first scene and him at the back of the set watching me holding my phone.

"And Mr. Styles here also posted on instagram a picture of you goofing around the set.." The screen shows a screenshot of Harry's post in Instagram of me candidly took when you were goofing around the directors camera.

"Hey! I told you to delete that picture" I cringe at him and he just raises his arms in defense laughing afterwards.

"Well as we're on the subject about you and Styles here." James pauses for a minute because the audience cheered especially the fangirls, "After 3 long years, you were always both seen with each other and even I myself is confused of what is your status together--" the audience cheered again

James was about to speak when one of the fangirls screamed "They're my parents, mate!!" Which you guys bursts into laughter.

Your cheeks blushed a little while Harold smirks after answering, "What's our status you say? I guess the whole world just gonna have to find out for themselves" He jokes and winks after.

"Yeah, we're never gonna tell you and you- yes you watching there, I'm not telling you one bit." you point at the camera which made the audience laugh. You and Harry did a high five after.

James changes the topic and goes on to Harry's Album

"So (Y/N), Styles mentioned on a Radio Show that you were one of the first people to hear Harry's Album with her mother Anne, stepfather Robin, and her sister Gemma-- Which one is your favorite?" He asks you teasingly knowing that he knew and obviously the whole world knows that Harry wrote a song about you and it was Only Angel.

"Oh cut the farts--" you start to defend yourself but Harry stiffles a giggle

"Farts? Really (Y/N)?" He teases you which you roll my eyes at him and he pretended to wince holding his heart dramatically.

"Well what's your favorite then?" James asks me again.

"Fine! Only Angel!" you give up and the audience laughed and cheered.

"So since that song is your favorite you say, I have these queue cards that has the lyrics on it-"

"Oh God." you say as you and Harry both blush and face palm.

"Broke a finger knocking on your bedroom door." He reads the lyrics out loud.

"I honestly don't know-" You reasoned but he cuts you off.

"You cant fool me (Y/N)," The audience laughs, "Harry, do the honors"

"Well, I think it's because we shared a house before my music and her acting career."

He nods, "Sure it's not something else?" He adds teasingly.

You just looked at each other and laughed.

"Couldn't take you home to Mother in a skirt that short but I think that's what I like about it." He reads again making you slap Harold in the arm playfully.

"Well.." Harry explains with a little smirk in the end making you glare at him, "I took her to Cheshire one time and it was summer so.. she kept insisting on wearing a skirt because it was  summer and all and it was hot and yeah I joked at her that I couldn't take her home to my mum with that skirt because trust me, its really short." He tells and widened his eyes and shooked his head several times. Making James and the audience laugh at his reaction and making you blush slightly.

"I'm never gonna wear a skirt again without thinking of those lyrics" You say with a groan making the audience laugh.

"And lastly.. My favorite lyrics of Only Angel" He laughs after, knowing you and Harry knows whats the next lyrics.

"When it turns out she's a devil in between the sheets" He sings this part making you slap Harry again and again.

He just laughs at you and pleads for you to stop, "Why do you have to put that in your song?" you whine hiding the fact that you're blushing intensively.

"Well-- It is true!" He says which made James burst into laughter and also the audience at the innuendo.

"Explain then Harold" He says to him playfully throwing the cards away.

"Okay okay-- so when me and (Y/N) go to clubs, we were always very drunk to drive and go home so it was a routine that we go to one of the nearest hotels and sleep- WE HAVE DIFFERENT ROOMS EVERYONE-" He cuts himself and tells them that to stop the audience from assuming, which made the people laugh and you nod your head agreeing with a giggle, "And at the time (Y/N) was dating someone" he air quotes someone knowing it was the fling you had with Dave Franco (Yes, a little bit old for me) "And I was sobering myself up before going to sleep when I heard squeals and bangs on the other side of the wall and so I assume-"

"HE THOUGHT WRONG OKAY?" You defend yourself making you sip on some coffee that was on the table.

"Yeah and I made a joke about it the day after." He says making you glare at him.

"WE WERE NOT DOING WHAT YOU GUYS THINK WERE DOING. WE'RE JUST FOOLING AROUND-WE'RE DRUNK!" you say again defensively.

"Don't be defensive (Y/N)- youre making yourself obvious" Harry tells you loudly. But again, you roll your eyes at him.

"And obviously for the title, Only Angel it was quite obvious." James lastly tells both of you.

"(Y/F/N), my only one Victoria's Secret Angel" He blurts out with a cheeky smile. Referencing the time that you joined the Victoria's Secret fashion show last year.

You blush again and laugh trying to hide that red of a face of yours.

"Okay and that was Ms. (Y/N) (Y/L/N) and Mr. Styles ladies and gentleman-" James continues on his outro for the episode while you and Harry smile at the audience.
