I was at the pharmacy a bit ago, trying to pick up my meds, and everybody was mad at the very nice person at the front desk for some reason. They were clearly trying to do six things at once. A customer was straight up rude to them, they tried to calm the person down, and someone came out to yell at them IN FRONT OF ME for "making unnecessary smart remarks." They were perfectly polite to this cranky bitch. They looked like they were having a rough day.

I got home, called them, asked to speak to a manager. I told the guy "Y'all need to lighten up on this person, they're incredibly helpful and professional and I've seen nothing but other people in the office treating them like a problem. Stop it." He sounded put on the back foot about it, mumbled something about handling the situation internally. I said "Please be sure to tell those ladies how unprofessional and thoughtless they're being, toward someone who's clearly trying to do the work of at least three other people. They're the best you've got over there, shape up and show them some respect."

Ive never heard a middle aged man go from "good afternoon how can I help you?" to "uhh, uh, hmm, ok. uh, I'll uh. I'll be sure to uh. Address your concerns, thank you for uh, sharing."

This isn't show and tell, sir, your office is full of catty ignorant middle aged mean girls who are taking advantage of a younger coworker's goodwill and work ethic. Knock it off.

for mass-changing work visibility, go to your ‘Works’ page, hit ‘Edit Works’, select ‘All’ and then ‘Edit’ again then scroll all the way down, you can change the visibility near the bottom with the ‘only show to registered users’. Done successfully, you’ll now see the blue lock by your name on all works.
