Honestly earned tho, Icarus is really a special case and i'm so happy

Icarus' VA, Mitsuhiro Ichiki, is a huge fan of granblue, he's considered one of the most HL player of the game, before he even voiced anything in Granblue he was invited on gbf streams as the "Honorary Skyfarer" because of that and took many challenges that, if he won, would get fans rewards (and he always won those, stuff like soloing Bubs when it was first launched and stuff like that). He voiced an extra (a random soldier) in the Granblue Anime before, even, and they added the "Honorary Skyfarer" voiced by this VA in Rising's avatar lobby too, this is like. Extremely specific.

and it's been going on for over half the life of the mobage (and i say that because i've known him ever since i've joined the fandom in 2019, i genuinely don't know how long he has been there aside from that)

the release of Icarus was in itself a celebration because the VA has been such a devoted fan, always taking on the challenges, always participating in streams and giving fans rewards, that he has been beloved by the fandom for a long time and Icarus was like he was finally given a role in here.

idk man i get the joke you're making but it makes me sooo emo he deserves it so much

so truly even if it's like "oh they just waited one year for giving him an event compared to the likes of Petra" (which tbhh like. is the case of so many characters in the game. I'm still sobbing crying waiting until Catherine gets an event that actually uses her well instead of just being a glorified background role like Platinium Sky 2), I feel like it still qualifies as a special case that actually honors the longevity of the game, if only by also making sure our Honorary Skyfarer get some time to shine for the game he hyped up for over half-a-decade and now got a role on yaknow?

harry would be so good when your mental health hasn't been great 😔 maybe your relationship is a little newer so you're not thinking he'll want to deal with all of that, and it starts small like you cancelling a few dates saying you're just not feeling great, but soon he starts to get a little worried about you so he just goes to your house to check on you 😔 you're thinking about telling him not to come in bc it's a bit of a mess since you've had no energy to clean but you know he's persistent so you felt him in and right away you're apologizing for the mess but he brushes it off right away saying "I don't care about your house, I just care about you... are you doing okay?" and that's enough to make your eyes water 😔 he pulls you in for a hug and says "I'm sorry baby, i wish you told me" 😔 you say against his chest "i just have no energy for anything and I'm so sad and i can't sleep and my house is a mess and-" and he shushes you gently when you start crying too hard to talk, stroking your hair and telling you it's okay😔 he says "I can fix about half of those things, so why don't we go lay down for a bit?" and you shake your head saying "it's not your job to take care of me, you don't have to-" but he cuts you off saying "i want to, i want to make sure you're doing okay 😔 he leads to to your bedroom and has you change into new pajamas saying you'll feel better and he's not wrong 😔 he lays down with you and rubs your back and you're out in less than 10 minutes 😔 when he's sure you're really asleep he gets up to try and clean up a little since he knows the mess is stressing you out, he does some laundry and the dishes and just whatever little things he can find 😔 and he decides to make you some chicken noodle soup bc there's no problem that can't be fixed by some good soup 😔 a few hours later you're stumbling down the stairs, still wrapped in a blanket and rubbing your eyes but you come over to give him a hug and he holds you so close 😔 you thank him for everything and he just kisses your forehead saying no problem 😔 you pick out a comfort movie and eat your dinner together, and when you're both done you rest your head on his lap so he can play with your hair 😔 when you ask him to stay the night he agrees right away, he just wants to be able to take care of you 😔
