   “ -- hey, big guy. ” The smooch from Krieg is met with a gentle kiss in return, despite the Siren being a little surprised -- hands are already gently cupping the sides of his face as she relaxes into it, though, and she can’t help but let the kiss last a little longer. Affection is ... nice. Extremely nice. Getting used to it on this level, and with Krieg, was a slow process. She doesn’t hate it -- no, it’s nice to finally have some form of friendship with the people she’s met since coming to Pandora , all who care about her as much as she cares about them. 

But Krieg is a different story. The feelings she holds for him, despite the bumpy road they’ve been on, is something she knows is true. She wasn’t expecting to find love on Pandora. Yet, she can’t complain when he’s such an important part of her. She wouldn’t have it any other way.

“ How’d the mission with Zer0 go? ” Arms carefully tuck around his neck as she pulls away from the kiss, checking his face over for any bruises or cuts. She’s used to him coming back hurt, hell she’s guilty of being just as reckless but ... he’s a different story. She worries about his fighting style when she’s not with him. One wound too many could be bad.

   A casual head tilt is given in response -- at least, at first. She’s trying her best to not laugh at the situation ... and trust her, this is taking a lot of control. Him sliding off the bed? It was because they were joking around, acting stupid -- as usual -- and she shoved him a little too hard. Okay, in her defense, he didn’t fall off completely -- just half-on and half-off. She’s peeking over the side with brows raised -- feigned surprise at his new position.

“ -- Troy? What are you doing down there? That’s not where you’re supposed to lay down! ”

At least she’s already grabbing him by the back of his shirt, pulling him back onto the bed with a strength that she’s way too casual about. Even if he hit something on his way up, it’s not like it would really hurt him. He has tough skin like her. He can take whatever life throws at him. 

That’s what Siren abilities grant you -- the ability to take a lotta damage. 

“ Geez, it’s like taking care of a kid. I’m pretty sure what that’s like. Guess I should expect this from the younger twin. ”

   Geez. She would be complaining about how demanding he’s being, anything to get him to ... you know, stop worrying about her -- but she shuts her mouth for once and sits down. Honestly, she doesn’t like admitting to wounds. She almost feels like a scolded child with how she’s sitting on the chair -- knowing that she’s in trouble but knowing she’d do it again in a heartbeat. Admitting to wounds, though, felt like ... weakness. 

Some days she was completely fine admitting to the others that was was hurt -- but after holing up as the Firehawk? Made her a bit closed off. Not like it’s too new, considering she would keep the cocky and nonchalant facade even with a serious wound in their travels from before it all. It pisses them off ...  But this isn’t anything serious -- she’s gone through worse and was able to walk it off with no issues. 

But ... listening to him will get him off her back on this.

“ -- damn, Mordy. Fine. I’m sitting ... are you happy? ” 

Shoulders sag, the Siren putting a hand over the wound in question -- a pretty deep cut from a bandit -- but she’s not showing how much this actually hurts.

“ It’s not as bad as you think it is. I mean, I’ll need a new shirt after this ... ”

[ scream ] for one muse to wake up because the other is having a nightmare / krieg & maya

   The scream was unexpected and wakes her up immediately, tired eyes moving to look over to her companion. What was going on? That scream was ... Krieg? That was definitely Krieg -- there was no mistaking it -- but it takes a second for her eyes to open fully so she can see what the problem is. A hand is already finding his arm, giving it a gentle squeeze so she can show him that it’s alright.

They’re laying in the back of the Technical, the others resting not far away. They insisted the two take the Technical tonight -- especially Gaige, who continued to gesture to Krieg with a knowing look like they were supposed to ... do something. That was hours ago, wasn’t it? How long have they been asleep? Was Zer0 still on watch duty? 

That doesn’t matter right now. All that matters is Krieg. He’s breathing heavy, not looking at her ... but she knows that he’s stressed. It’s not hard to see that he had a nightmare, but she needs to be careful about this. Soothing and comforting, right? Something she never really knew too well until she spent time with Krieg ... he deserved that comfort.

“ -- hey ... Krieg. Krieg, dude, it’s okay. You’re safe. ” 

Her hand is staying on his arm but she’s being sure to carefully scoot closer, not wanting to burst his bubble if he wasn’t ready for that. 

“ What’s wrong? Do you want to talk about it? ”

   The Baroness blinks at that, watching him closely -- as if that would give ehr the answers to why he’s ... acting like this now. Watching him like this won’t solve anything, she knows. It won’t give her the answer she’s looking for. But that doesn’t stop her from keeping her gaze on the male, hand idly tapping against the side of her tea cup.

“ -- are you sure you’re alright, dear? ”

Was it something she said? Or was the topic too much? As much time as she’s been spending with him, she knows that there are some things she just ... hasn’t learned about them. Things that she wants to learn about -- to see if she can really understand the twins -- but things that she knows ... won’t help the fact that these two are so much like Jack. 

Would they even have the ability to change if they were lead in the right direction?

   A confused squint is given, but it doesn’t take the man long to bark out a laugh -- and soon a hard hand is patting Mordecai’s back. He would role his eyes at the statement ... but he doesn’t know much about how the afterlife works. He doesn’t know if he wants to know, really. Ghosts were a thing, right? Do ghosts get to choose who they haunt or is it just random? These were the important questions.

“ -- do that and I’ll kick your ass. Even if you’re dead, I’ll kick your ass, you hear me? ”

Don’t ask him how he’s going to do that, but he’ll find a way. He’s stubborn and he’ll find a way to kick anyone’s ass if it was needed. Even if it’s Mordy. Friends kick each other’s asses no matter where they were ; the afterlife wasn’t an exception.
