The other day, I was doomscrolling on Reddit when I bumped into a post about CC and after reading and interacting in the comments I felt that people judge her too harshly and they don't really understand her character 😭

C'mon, guys, two wrongs don't make one right. No, CC didn't deserve to be bullied all the time. There were pranks that IRL would be interpreted as assault! Besides, she was often insulted just for being her. Yeah, she was the main antagonist and yeah, she had a rather unpleasant personality (especially in the first seasons). Like, it's a moot point to discuss that, but the "good people" also had their shortcomings lol Sometimes they also acted selfish or were kinda of aloof (quick examples here, Fran post-season 3 and her obsession with the "take it back"... and now I reference it, Max's emotional immaturity too. Fran sometimes wasn't a good "bestie" for Val...). Yet, their faults are overlooked while CC's ones are not.

She is what she is, but, to quote herself, "I'm not a well woman". Do you expect a person of her social class, who was basically raised by nannies (divorced and "busy" parents who compensated with throwing a lot of money, standoffish siblings), to become a nice woman and for that bullying is justified? CC's treatment by the audience is a little bit unfair, imo 🥺

apropos of nothing and certainly not my tag rant from a few posts back

did you know that out of 150 popular video games released between 1985 and 2022, only 6% of them feature sole female protagonists?

did you know that prior to mass effect 3, female shepard was never used in any promotional material for the series?

(and there's no hard data available on this, but i very distinctly recall a lot of gamerbro outrage when me3 had an optional reversible cover so you could pick between male and fem shep on your personal game)

did you know that only 18% of players chose femshep in any shape or form (default or customized) during the original release?

(anecdotally, i know a few people who didn't even realize you could play a female at all in me1 bc of how the cc is setup)

did you know with the release of the legendary edition in 2021 the percentage of femshep players didn't even double (despite jennifer hale's seemingly enormous popularity amongst the broader playerbase over the past decade) and is reported at 32%?

did you know that dragon age inquisition has the same breakdown between male and female inquisitors (68% to 32% respectively)?

did you know during the playtests for assassin's creed odyssey, it was a 50/50 split between kassandra and alexios, and ubisoft suits actually thought when the game was released, kassandra would be more popular? and yet once again, about 70% of players chose the male protag

did you know evie and aya were both supposed to have a much larger roles in assassin's creed syndicate and origins but were forced into a smaller role bc the ubisoft marketing team didn't think the games would sell well with a female lead?

cdpr hasn't released data on male vs female v, probably because the game handles gender a little differently than just two strict options like many other rpgs, but it was revealed that panam was the most popular romance, sitting at about 68%, which means at least 68% of players chose the male v body. I'm sure some players did not make that choice as a cis male v, but i would also guess that those who didn't are a small minority of this demographic, and if you factor in kerry romancers, this split is probably very similar to other games in the genre

now i realize that a lot of the male v players who are in more transformative fandom spaces (like tumblr) are not the str8 gamer dudebros of reddit angry about pores on a female character's face and whatnot. i realize that a lot of you are also on the outskirts of the perceived norm and also feel under-represented by mainstream male protags and that's incredibly frustrating and alienating and i genuinely feel for you

but female protagonists and female gamers who want to play as female protagonists and who have a few niche spaces to celebrate female protags are not the reason for your lack of representation

and frankly you don't sound a whole lot different from the angry incel gamer boys when you say shit like "fem v gets too much attention"

so maybe try advocating for male protags who don't fit the generic boring gruff white guy mold without throwing women under the bus. we're should be allies in this fight, not rivals

I feel like one of the only people who thought that removing the Keep would be disastrous. Not even out of love for the Keep but downsizing would have been a better option than none. Nobody needs to know if the Warden got ironbark for the Dalish but I think if they were male and raised a son with Morrigan should be considered a pretty big issue! Some of these choices can actually affect whole plot resolutions (i.e. Kieran).

Not mentioning how Inquisition with a custom world state is going to be impossible if they close the Keep. I'm cautiously optimistic about how it'll be handled in-game but I saw too many advocating for the Keep to be shut down early on. You brought this on yourselves.

I would've had a downsized version of the Keep built into the CC in a way that balanced returning player excitations and new player overwhelmness (I didn't really like having to go to an external site and then import my choices back into the game) Maybe they could've had a 'default' worldstate for new people and a relevant version of the Keep for the rest of us. I get that it's been 10 years, and BioWare needs to attract basically an entirely new generation of customers, but I really hope it's done in a way that doesn't throw people who've stood beside Dragon Age for the last 15 years to the wayside

One of the biggest problems folks had with the ending of Mass Effect 3 was that it felt like all the choices our Shepards had made for the three games didn't really matter in the end. I'll be heartbroken if that's a sentiment carried over to Veilguard

But! I'm not a AAA developer, I can't imagine how annoying it would've been to tie all those important choices into several cohesive tapestries... maybe they didn't have the time/resources after the 50ish people layoffs

“Wil, help me!”

The tall man sat back in his chair, smiling smugly as he leaned back. I puffed up my cheeks in frustration as I had lost another round of Geogeusser against an annonymous user.

“I feel like at this point your viewers are stream sniping just to publicly humiliate me.” I sighed. Wil chuckled, now sitting up and scooting his chair close to his desk to examine the screen with me.

“Come on, I know you can do better than that.” He said, clicking the exit screen button. I turned to him, making a pouty face. After he finished adjusting his stream so that his webcam was now in full view, he turned to me. He tapped my nose with his index finger.

“Boop!” He giggled. My frown immediately curved into a smile as a small blush crept on my cheeks. He withdrawed his finger before tapping my nose again. “Boop!” He repeated.

I laughed, waving his hand away. “Okay, okay! I’m not mad anymore.” I looked at his other monitor to examine the chat. “Chat says they want to do a QnA. Should we do a QnA?” I asked. Wil placed his arm on the head of my chair, almost wrapping his arm around me.

“I don’t see why not.” He said, smirking. With his free hand, he reached over to his mouse and turned on text-to-speech donations. Curious, I scooted closer to him to watch his movements. He tilted his head toward mine, leaning into my prescence. “Alright, chat, I turned on donations. Ask away.”

I leaned my head on his shoulder as I watched the chat zoom by on his laptop. My eyes then trailed onto his computer monitor, realizing that his gaze was also on the monitor, admiring our position.

“Hey Wil and (y/n)—!” The text-to-speech voice filled our ears, making me holt back from the sudden noise.

“Ah! Wil that thing is loud!” I complained.

“Whoops, hold up.” He reached over and clicking on some things.

“—random question, but do yall believe in star signs? and what are yall star signs?” the text-to-speech finished it’s question. I tilted my head a bit, slightly thinking.

“I think they’re interesting, but I wouldn’t say I’m a total advocate.” Wil answered. “I like doing little jokey jokes with them though.”

“Oh yeah! That one bit with Charlie when you guys were sailing around in Origins?” I asked. Wil and I had watched the premiere of that video together the day it uploaded.

“Yeah— Oh you know what, that makes me wonder,” He turned his chair fully to look at me. “When is your birthday? I’m sure you’ve told me at least once but it probably just slipped my mind.”

“Wowww, and I thought we were friends.” I teased, crossing my arms.

“To be fair, I forget my own birthday!” Wil argued.

“That’s because you make up fifteen different birthdays for every stream.” I sighed. I turned back around to face the monitor.

“Touche.” He quickly muttered. I laughed, shaking my head. “So, when’s your birthday?” He asked.

“It’s in January, so I think I’m a capricorn?” I said, unsure. I watched Wilbur’s eyes widen a little from the monitor before a sly grin forming on his face. I turned my head to look at him.

“What? Is there something wrong with being a capricorn?” I asked, the confusion seeping into my voice. I looked back at chat only to be met with “A CAPRICORN??” and “YOOOOOOOOOOO”

“Can you give a moment? I need to get my guitar.” Wil said rather ominously. Without a space to talk, he got up and rushed to his bedroom to grab his instrument. In turn, I was left with thousands of people seeing the outright bewilderment on my face.

“Chat, I’m scared, what’s going on?!” I quickly uttered with a breathy laugh lightening my words. Wil came back shortly, clutching his guitar by the neck. I scoot my chair back for him and the guitar to fit back into frame.

“Sing it with me if you know the lyrics, chat, and I know you know the lyrics.” He quickly tuned his guitar as I stared at him dumbfounded. He played a few strings, testing to see if they were making the right notes before playing a familiar strumming pattern.

I bobbed my head to the words, listening to his breathy voice sing the lyrics he had written himself. His eyes fluttered close as he hunched down a little, feeling his music. He finished up the first verse, transitioning onto the verse.

“I’ve been scared of sleeping with the lights on. Know she’s not there. I know she’s going to his flaaat!” He tilted his head a little as he hit the high note. A smile unknowingly crept up on my face. “A capricorn, oh fuck that!”

“What the— Wil—!”

“They say sex sells I know that!” He ignored my shocked expression and continued playing.

“Wilbur!” I exclaimed again. I tried to sound upset, but in reality, my lips were pulled back into a wide smile. Eventually I sunk back in my chair, admiring his concentrated expression as his fingers grazed against the steel strings. His hair gently resting on top of his forehead, covering his eyes as he turned his face down to his guitar.

He could insult my star sign all he wants. As long as he does it in that pretty voice.

I’m anon that wanted to share my Hannah opinion. Before I do, I wanna clarify I am a woman.

I think what she’s doing is all for her images. It’s known she’s doing her best to advocate for female presenting and more, which btw I find that amazing, and as a woman I believe she did a great job (unlike other ccs that claimed the same but did not really help). However I think here starts the issue. She’s so obsessed with this idea to be our advocate that she got extreme and would cut off people just to keep clean her images. It is very clean that this is what’s she doing: Dream team are now a problem for her image, so she cut them off, while no one cares about Punz (which is way worse) so she keep follows him. It’s very hypocrite and show that most likely she’s not even genuine. And the Sylvee thing proved that she’s not communicating and just follow what Twitter wants and be blindsided. I saw some people claiming that “oh it’s just her emotions” but idk, her actions seem kind of telling me something different.

I also believe those people decide to support other female ccs with no hesitation. Which btw, that’s not bad, I think is sweet and amazing! But it creates even a toxic culture of “women are always the victims, they’re always innocent and pure, whatever they say must be the truth” and this weird culture of “yeah women do not need to show proofs and you need to believe them 100%”. I believe this is pretty harmful, especially as a victim of a woman abuser that even lied to be a victim (I’m not saying this is case, but just this weird culture can protect women abusers and more).

I think this is even a problem with Tina and Sylvee. They’re trying to save their faces showing that “they care about the female ccs” while their actions and past actions are just hypocritical or very fake. Which again is more harmful for us.

I genuinely felt they were a good representation for us women, but now I feel completely disgusted by their actions and their immaturity.

I have a couple things I'd like to say about current trends in the Dark SBI tag. (For full transparency, I don't explore or read from the DSBI tag very often, despite the majority of my writing falling under it. Mostly I read the isolated works of a few close friends and fellow authors. Everything I'm about to mention was originally brought to my attention by and discussed with these other writers.) One of the most unique parts of the DSMP, from the beginning, was the overlap of character and content creator. And even though we are writing and reading about the characters the cc's put forward, there also needs to be awareness that unlike with movies and tv shows, the "actors" are tied even more intrinsically to their characters. In name, appearance, and personality in some capacity or another. Because of this, be careful of what tropes you use and what it may be saying to your audience.

Most notably, I'd just like to urge all authors, whether it's your first time or your hundredth posting to ao3, please be sure to use robust tagging. It isn't just disheartening to potential readers when a fic isn't tagged properly with something they might not enjoy. It can potentially be extremely triggering. Especially with very dark topics like dehumanization, suicide ideation, self-harm, kidnapping, etc, etc. There's been a very strange and sudden surge of fics featuring topics such as slavery and/or ownership. If you truly want to write that kind of thing, I cannot stop you, but I beg of you, tag that shit. Tag it to hell and back. Everyone should have the ability to filter that out if they don't want to see it. Making readers walk in blind to potentially hurtful and disturbing topics is not cute.

If you are an author unsure of what tags to use, I recommend exploring what tags do exist and whether they apply to your fic. Additionally, I advocate for writing warning briefs either in the beginning or end notes. This can be a list of warnings relevant to the current chapter or a cut-and-dry summary of actions. Whatever works for you personally.

If you are a reader of one of my fics and believe I've missed tags/warnings, please let me know! I'm not a pinnacle in this fandom by any means and I always have room to grow and learn.

If you're a reader and truly dislike or are disgusted by what an author writes, don't send hate or death threats. Use ao3's blocking abilities and move on. I'm not pro-censorship, I'm pro-self-moderating.

dude yesterday was a fucking trip

so there's this guy at work on the other side (a branch of the lab that i don't directly work with), hardcore trumper, total control freak self-righteous asshole kind of person who brags about how many guns he has, like a real piece of work

and he bought, on black friday, a pair of meta smart glasses, and, supposedly, wore them to work

now, i heard about this tuesday, and my instant thought was "oh my GOD the hipaa violations there" because we see so much phi, like, constantly, like everything that we see is phi

and the person who was telling me about this was like "i don't think they're going to do anything about his behavior"

but i was like "okay but hipaa. like. HIPAA."

so i sent an email to a couple of the people over there saying, basically, hey, i heard about this, i think they're not really looking at this from a hipaa perspective, because like it's more than just a violation of your privacy, it's a violation of patient privacy, here's a link to the policy i think he's violated, i believe it should be reported to institutional compliance (who is above hr) and action needs to be taken but since i didn't directly see it, i'm not going to jump the gun on this unless you ask me to

best guess is that one of two people i sent it to walked away from the computer with her email up, he saw his name in the subject line, and he read it, and assumed that i had reported him to hr

and he fucking exploded

the next morning he sent this rambling, raging email to both me and the girl who told me about this, calling her a pathological liar and sarcastically saying shit about how i think i'm the purveyor of truth and how if i think i'm such a great patient advocate then i should report all these other incidents (of human error, which even in his email admitted to being fixed before they could affect patient care) by all these other people, that could have cost the hospital millions of dollars (incidents, i should note, that he did nothing about) and basically all-around just being completely unhinged and, frankly, scary

and he fucking cc-ed our manager, his boss, and the medical director

he was so convinced that he was in the right, that he fucking cc-ed his own management with his ranting

the manager replied with something to the effect of "i understand that you're upset but this is not the way we talk to coworkers" and quietly cc-ed an hr representative on the email

the manager and the medical director both came up independently to ask if i was okay, the manager assured me that, yes, i did everything exactly right, and that hr was absolutely going to address it, and he commented that it was kind of good that this came out this way

because i mean. nobody caught him with the glasses. all the complaints about him are hearsay. he can wriggle out of anything... except this over the top rant at someone who was following red-letter company policy, which hr has now seen in all its fucking glory, in his own written words

so yeah. we got to watch someone absolutely implode and (hopefully) destroy their career all in real time

(i showed the email to a friend who is also in the field, who said that she was about to text her boss - who knows all the hiring managers in the area, it's a small field- to blacklist this guy. i sent her the email so that she can show her boss exactly what he said, and explain the situation in-depth. so yeah. fucking nuked his career.)

...but of course that leads to the tertiary concern, that this dude has guns. like, multiple guns. i told the medical director that me and the other girl in the email were legitimately afraid because of that and how he'd talked about them, and he said jesus in a tone of, like, oh this is gonna need the police to escort this dude out and get a fucking restraining order holy shit

haven't heard anything today, but uh. that's what's going on in my world right now.

Jack had made progress, real progress that he was happy to report to Dr. Carty. He had attended one of the meetings Y/n suggested and as corny as it sounded, he felt less alone in the struggles of his past that he had a hard time remembering. He received some legitimate guidance on searching for answers through old media. The man that ran the survivors group had a similar story to Jack's only he was lost in the foster care system and passed around between pedophiles collecting state checks.

He explained to Jack that media searches aren't the best way to access your past trauma. He suggested petitioning to have the court records opened for his own mental health. It meant getting a lawyer or an advocate but if Jack really wanted to pick at the scab of his trauma, he had the best place to start.

"I felt like a fucking idiot when I started crying. Shit just got super overwhelming really fast but they didn't really press me to keep talking which was great. Gave me time to collect myself and actually hear other people talking about their own shit." Jack explained.

"How did it make you feel having a small group of strangers telling you their stories?" Dr. Carty asked.

"Honestly, it was sad. This shit happens too often. There needs to be a better system in place, a better reporting center. I actually talked to some of the people in the group afterwards, exchanged some emails..." He trailed off knowing Dr. Carty would make a comment.

"You made friends!" He said gleefully making Jack roll his eyes.

"You say that like I'm a total shut in." Jack argued earning a laugh.

"As your doctor, I can confirm you just now started going out to get your groceries instead of having them delivered." Dr. Carty joked as Jack pulled into the driveway.

"I'm proud of Jack. You're making such amazing progress in your healing. The crying is a release. Don't fight it so much." Jack nodded his head.

"Well I made it home in one piece and I've got to send Y/n a text thanking her for the recommendation." Jack turned the car off and started to gather his things.

"She's provided a lot of healing for you Jack. You should keep her around. You need that positive push." Dr. Carty said confidently. Jack didn't disagree. Before he could respond, her name lit up on his phone.

"She's actually calling me now so-"

"I'll talk to you tomorrow. Have a good night Jack." Dr. Carty bid him farewell and he clicked over the call.

"I was just thinking about you." Jack said with a smile.

"Oh yeah? With or without clothes?" She teased.

"Well now I'm thinking about you without clothes but that's your own fault." He laughed.

"I wanted to call and check on you but I also wanted to let you know I might have left you some stuff inside your house." Jack froze on his porch.

"You broke into my house?" He asked looking over to her house.

"Of course not...I used the key." She said firmly. Jack opened the front door carefully and could smell food.

"You broke in to make me dinner?" He laughed.

"Again, I used the key. I didn't cook it. I had it ordered. I figured today would be draining so I wanted you to come home and not worry about feeding yourself." Y/n explained as he walked over to see brown bag sitting atop the counter. He opened and it smelled heavenly.

"It should still be warm but you can heat it up in the package if it needs to be." Jack pulled the box of spaghetti out and took a bit of the bread.

"You can break into my house anytime." He said with a mouthful of food. She laughed on the other end of the line.

"That's not all...I also left you something to keep you company tonight on your bed." Jack stopped eating and climbed the stairs.

"This feels like Christmas." He joked. When he got to the top of the steps he saw Ace sitting on his bed.

"Oh hey buddy! You came to visit me." Jack's voice changed to baby talk for the pup as he leaned down to snuggle him.

"I figured you could use the company and he's been missing you." Jack almost forgot he was on the phone and he picked Ace up in his arms.

"You know one of these nights, I won't be on the backend of an emotional breakdown and I'm going to ask you out on a date. You better be prepared with a better excuse to not say yes than trauma bonding." Jack said with a smile. She chuckled.

"I've got to get back to work but I'll give you a call later okay? Just to make sure you're settled in and don't need anything." Jack hung up the phone and took Ace down stairs with him to eat dinner. He spent his evening making a grocery list, feeding Ace and turning on the TV for a change. He left Ace to watch the TV while he showered and it was around 11PM when he was finally snuggling down with the pup.

He was started to get comfortable and when his phone vibrated. He smiled seeing Y/n was facetiming him. She was still in her scrubs but looked like she was in the bathroom about to clean herself up for bed.

"Well aren't you two the cutest thing I've ever seen?" She smiled seeing Ace sleeping on Jack's chest.

"Don't be jealous he loves me more than you." She chuckled.

"I won't keep you up, just wanted to make sure you were okay." She kept her eyes on them and Jack smiled.

"Today was a lot but it felt good. I definitely needed it. Thank you for the recommendation." Jack watched her take her hair down and wipe her face with a makeup wipe.

"Of course. I'm so happy that it was able to give you some support." She said as Jack watched her carefully.

"Was the food okay?" She asked not looking at him as she continued to get ready for bed.

"How long do I have to wait before I ask you out again?" He ignored her question and she looked at her phone, stopping what she was doing and smiled at him.

"Sleep on it tonight. If you wake up and feel good, you can ask me then. I just want you to wait until you're ready and when you are, I will say yes." She explained making him smile.

"I'll hold you to that." He said with a sleepy smile.

"Get some rest Jack. I will talk to you tomorrow." She said seeing how tired he was. He nodded his head.

"Goodnight Y/n." The screen went black and he let out a sigh. He had never felt so content in this moment. For the first time in a long time, he was hopeful for what was to come.

Saw some discussion about whether or not to draw c!scar with/without wheelchairs and tubes. I think it is important to also listen to what he himself said about this when asked about it.

He has a short video on his GoodClipsWithScar channel titled "Scar on fanart including wheelchairs"

In summary, he said he does not mind either way about his character having or not having a wheelchair, but he does not picture himself with the tubes as much as he does with the wheelchair.

He emphasized that he does not want to hinder anyones creativity.

Yes I've brought this point up a few times!

When I talk about representing c!Scar in a wheelchair it's not because I'm parasocially defending cc!Scar when he didn't ask for it. And I'm not doing it for his comfort.

I advocate for it because the reasonings behind not drawing Scar in a wheelchair are often ableist, and I want people to be conscious of that fact! I want them to realize that choosing a make c!Scar non-disabled is often born out of an expectation that a lack of disabilities is more common/acceptable. People are consciously choosing not to draw him disabled because of their own biases. That's important to address!!

oh boy, listen, the qsmp election should just be renamed the broken telephone event bc there's no way people are misrepresenting everyone's platform and to be fair character (and, a note, literally all of this is also about characters AT NO POINT DO I MEAN CCS i just get lazy typing the q! tbh) so much. maybe it's a language barrier thing, maybe it's difficulty in being the devil's advocate but it's wild to see in real time.

i watch bad religiously, try to watch as much of forever's pov i can live and what i can't i watch in vods, cellbit i catch when i can, baghera i do my best but french and me don't mix well in my head. this is coming from someone who is a native portuguese speaker and perfectly bilingual when it comes to english. i say this to illustrate that especially between the english and portuguese speakers, i'm not getting lost in buggy translations or difficulty undestanding.

do i disagree with insaneduo? yep, but that's a personal opinion. i also entirely understand not only their stance during the debates (do i enjoy it? not really, the tone — which is not aggressive, it's assertive — is anxiety inducing TO ME PERSONALLY and so i struggle) but also their platform. they're doing the best with what they've been given, and keeping your enemies close is the only thing in their opinion has truly shown any sort of result. using the federation's resources is an opportunity they can't pass up! they have great ideas, good implementation plans, and cellbit isn't even running so really, forever is doing the most as he should. i understand why he doesn't understand the anarchy route in this situation. yes, their platform has been misrepresented, but that's because ultimately what they showcase in public forums aka debates for all to see does come across as very assertive (which is what debates are for, asserting your stance) and at times a bit tunnel vision imo. listening to them properly out of the debates would do a lot to stop whatever circus has been going on.

now, i have seen an insane amount of people almost mischaracterising bad and baghera as a response to the misinterpretation of insaneduo, and that's not fair either. bad and baghera have spoken at length about their issues with presidency, how they don't want to centralise power, how they don't trust the federation and they definitely don't trust anyone who will be actively pulled around by them. are they all puppets? yes, but do you want to give power to someone who willingly or not is giving up their own strings? it's normal that they're reluctant or just blatantly refusing of that idea. they don't think insaneduo are power hungry dictators, they've in fact spoken multiple times talking about how they think BOTH cellbit and forever would be good presidents (bad specifically mentioned it even last night) but that the concern isn't them, it's the federation.

bad making a joke about helping foolish assassinate anyone other than baghera and gegg is… a joke. it's literally a silly goofy joke based on "my coalition vs everyone else" and the idea of political assassination. there's quite literally no need, and frankly imo a disservice to the relationship that bad and forever have to mischaracterise that. if i remember correctly, wasn't forever the one talking about how they should be killing each other bc it'd be fun? i might be wrong there, but i vividly remember that.

my point being, this election is ultimately an exercise in futility bc they're all fucked regardless, this isn't "giving someone power" it's the federation sticking a pacifier in their mouth for soothing and telling them they'll sleep better. it'll end terribly either way, and no character is safe. it's a ridiculous plotline but a wildly interesting one, BECAUSE it's doomed to fail and yet everyone's doing the song and dance.

enjoy the content. laugh. analyse the character dynamics, motivations and plans. don't go out of your way to mischaracterise and demonise any character bc that not only goes against everything the qsmp stands for, but it also sucks the fun out of it for you and everyone else. no one is after anyone, no one is isolating anyone to be mean to them, these people are friends playing characters who are friends. have fun! my god!

"The Qsmp is problematic"

So fun fact twitter hates this fandom and everything it stands for, I'm not kidding when I say the amount of people I saw calling the fandom, toxic, racist, misgontic and ableist is interesting to say the least.

So of course when the SulhasSpace issue happened some people ran with it as proof that the fandom is the problem. Now I've show you guys an racist account before in the last account of interest (burnbook Qsmp) So I'm not here to pretend it's not a problem, it absolutely is.

So yes I get where these are coming from to some degree but Twitter doesn't forgive or forget, and there's of course the fact that not ever "fan" is actually a fan.

That being said they are two sides to Qsmp twitter right now,

1)Chill fun time, drawing your faves.

2)your faves are problematic and if you don't push for them to be kick out your a terrible person.

A common discussion I see on the twitter is often, "oh you're defending your faves, you call out any creator but your faves" completely ingoring the fact that most the stuff their holding said faves accountable for are ages old.

They call us parasocial but then make post after post advocating for members to be removed from the SMP, it's making rounds, so I want to clear any misinformation on Twitter and make it clear when creators apologize.

You might remember them from the bonus section, this was posted jan 5 2024 with 1.3K likes (Jesus) so allow me to clear the air on some accusations.

In the reply of this they link a thread stating all problematic behaviors of creators, however MAJORITY of the this thread is just attacking the fan base I'm not even kidding.

Here's the thing, the bad apples aren't the fandom, it was this same behavior that had people attack dsmp fans.

Say what you want about Dream but you can acknowledge the dsmp fandom got so much hate for simply existing because a few of them were bad.

Because as someone who's been in both, and left both oddly who was previously a full on dream Stan and just sorta grew out of him. People hated us just for liking the dsmp.

They attacked minors in cosplay called us fatherless and cringe (and like yeah but still) overall make fun of Nurodiverst kids for having hyperfixations, and their justification was we're all terrible people.

Here's my thing, you don't actually care, you don't care about the alleged victims or the people who's lives are at risk; You want to make the fandom look bad.

You could have easily said "A person on twitter told another they hope the us gets bomb" and yeah I understand it was in the context of the Qsmp but people are not their interset, don't water people down to the things they like, then you're just making stereotypes.

How is it any different than saying, "a kpop stan did this, a furry did that,"

Also while I'm on this compersion of both I've noticed a constant conflict in regards to the Forever situation vs Dream situation with the parties on either side the other cc is guilty but theirs isn't.

I noticed this as soon as the accusations dropped actually a lot of people even here on Tumblr, where saying "this is what we deserved" and at "least dream didn't actually do it"

Tô be honest I noticed the fandom was at odds before that even, they were sudden talk here on Tumblr which means the topic likely came from Twitter of the dsmp compered to the Qsmp.

And I'll be honest dsmp was getting dragged, I read these thinking, 'why are we comparing them, they're clearly different with their own stories.' I still wonder that.

I don't want to fight with dream SMP fans, I use to be one of you , I had a freaking fan fic plan that was just c:! ranboo getting teleported into the Qsmp.

Why don't have to fight, but I guess with dream being unlikable, that makes things very hard.

1) she was not the only woman on the server, Jaiden joined the server at the very beginning, so unless I miss an noticed that Jaiden actually used macs pronounces that's a fuckin lie.

You can see Jaiden right there behind Foolish, on the very first day. This isn't hard to confirm, it doesn't even take a second.

I read the tweet and immediately went, nah that's not true I remember Jaiden, And what do you know Jaiden was in fact a member at that time.
