Flashy night
Uzui Tengen x f! Reader x wifes
A/n: Just a flashy scenario for a flashy man. I'm thinking about writing Kyojuro's pov and posting it later🤔
Tw: Slightly suggestive
••☆••☆••☆••☆••☆••☆••☆••☆••☆••☆••
"Tengen, I think you better go home man. Your wives must be waiting for you!" Rengoku shouted in the middle of the street due to the noise of the people and the music.
The two friends had planned to go to the entertainment district because of a festival Tengen had mentioned. Rengoku never refused to go anywhere with his best friend, especially if it promised lots of fun and food. They had gone in completely sober and were now completely drunk and barely knew their way back.
"Yeah, I know. My wives love me and everyone knows it!" Tengen said, holding his drink as he danced. He really was an exhibitionist.
"Yes, but if we don't get back soon, you'll end up sleeping on the couch." Rengoku joked, trying to drag his friend out of the crowd. They were now leaning on each other and walking like blind people in the middle of a shootout.
"Now that's not true! They would never do that to me," Tengen said, laughing."They love me, believe me..."
*Meanwhile, at Tengen's house*
"Tengen hasn't come back yet?" Makio asked, arriving in the living room and seeing you sitting on the couch, waiting for Tengen to come home. "Where the hell did he get himself to again? I hope he doesn't have to face a demon on the way."
"It was a possibility... If I didn't know he went out to go to another one of those flashy festivals he likes so much."
"And he didn't even take us with him. Just left us here alone and bored." Makio said, pouting and holding some resentment for his action
"He said he was going with a great friend of his."
"Probably that one who talks really loud, the hashira of the flames... I don't remember his name." She said, looking at the ceiling, trying to remember the name
"Rengoku?" You said, and she nodded
"Yeah, that one! They get along very well."
"I believe he should be arriving soon. I mean, it's almost three in the morning." You said looking at the clock on the wall
"Typical of Master Tengen. He never arrives at the time he says will. Suma and Hinatsuru must be fast asleep by now, and getting Suma to sleep after she found out Tengen went without us was no easy task. That idiot almost cried her eyes out." Makio rolled her eyes, remembering the scene
"Suma is always sensitive..." You said with a giggle. "What about you? Aren't you going to sleep?"
"I just came to see how you were since you were the only one who wasn't sleeping yet, but if you're going to stay there waiting for him, that's fine. I'm going to the bed, good night." Makio said, hugging you and getting up afterwards
"Sleep well."
"Yeah, and be sure to kick Tengen's drunk ass when he gets here!" She shouted from the end of the hallway and you chuckled
"I will!"
You stood there for a while until you heard the front door open and saw the big man stumble on his own steps and almost fall to the floor while laughing out loud. You knew at that moment who it was. You got up from the couch and walked to the entrace hall with your arms crossed as you saw him waving to his friend who was already going home.
"Have a great night my great buddie Rengoku!!"He shout before closing the door
When he turned around and saw you behind him, his smile widened and you were almost blinded by the glow he exuded at that moment. The drunkenness made him hotter than usual but you didn't want to let your guard down at that moment. And you definitely wouldn't.
"Look who's here waiting for me! I'm sorry for leaving my princess alone but since I'm here I think I should make up for my absence..." He said in a seductive voice, approaching and covering your figure with all his tall and wide stature. Oh, he was really stepping over the borders...
His white hair was loose and disheveled, there were a few messy strands on his face, his cheeks were pink from the alcohol and the heat. He was wearing a yukata that was open and exposing his chest. You could bet he was doing it on purpose to tease you.
"Why don't we go upstairs and 'talk' a little about my late arrival?" He whispered in your ear with a little giggle and distributing a few kisses on your neck but you just rolled your eyes and sighed. It was difficult because he really was driving you crazy.
"Makio, Hinatsuru and Suma have been asleep for a while now and I don't want to bother them and besides, Makio herself told me to kick your drunk ass, so..." You said and the hashira laughed
"My dear Makio is cold, but I like her. What about you? Are you really going to kick your husband's drunk and flashy ass?" He said holding your face with both hands
"You deserved it, you know? It's just that you left and came back late and as if that wasn't enough, you didn't take your lovely wives with you."
"I already apologized! Come on, why don't we settle things amicably, my love?" He leaned his forehead against yours, which made things even more difficult for you, who were trying not to give in
"Tengen, don't insist. You're drunk and I'm sleepy." You said, trying to get away from him, who at that moment knelt in front of you looking like a clingy, whiny boy.
"You're not being flashy, Y/n. Why don't you give me a little chance. Please, five minutes! We don't even need to go to the bedroom..." Uzui insisted again, holding the hem of your shorts, but you slapped his hands away and walked away from him
"Damn, Uzui! You're stubborn when you're drunk. Jeez!" You said, and he was silent for a moment while he massaged the hand you slapped, but still with a smile on his face and his eyes shining at you. "And don't make those puppy dog eyes at me. Let's just go to sleep, it's too late." You ordered
Tengen got up from the floor and let out a long sigh, seeing that he couldn't be more stubborn than his wife who was in front of him. However, his ego didn't allow you to have the last word.
Tengen got closer to your ear and bent down a little, which made you feel chills.
"Alright, you win. But one thing is for certainly, I'll deal with you tomorrow. Just you wait!" He slapped your butt and ran to the bedroom while laughing and you felt your cheeks burn with shame.
He really could drive everyone crazy.
"Tengen, you son of a-- Come back here now!" You said, running after him

Magda's Princesse
Hardersson x Child!Reader
Part of The Big Adventures Universe
Summary: A look back at your birth from Magda's perspective
Magda is already at the airport when she gets the call. She recognises the caller ID instantly and a smile appears on her face as she answers it.
"I'll be there soon," She says," I'm just about to get on the plane."
"You need to call Emma," Is what Pernille answers.
Magda's just about to get her ticket checked. She stops. "What?"
"You need to call Emma," Pernille repeats," And tell her that you'll be sitting the next few games out. You're busy."
Magda, for some reason, is feeling especially stupid because she just can't quite grasp what's being told to her. "But I'm not?"
"You are!" Pernille snaps before she lets out a groan of pain," Because I will be damned if I push your baby out and you run back to England a few days later."
Magda slumps into her seat in shock. "But...You can't be having her now! She's early!"
"By two days." Pernille sounds like she's gritting her teeth. "I'll send you the hospital address. I don't care how you do it but if you miss this, Magda, I will not be happy."
The line is dropped.
Magda is a tight ball of worry the entire flight. She's drunk two glasses of wine to ease her worries before cutting herself off in case she accidentally drinks herself into a coma before getting to the hospital.
She's one of the first off the plane and through border control. It takes half an hour to get her luggage and then another to find a taxi that will get her to the hospital.
Fischer is waiting outside for her, guiding Magda inside without little fanfare.
"She came to visit us at training," Magda's national teammate tells her," And then she went into labour."
"And the baby?"
"Fine so far," Fischer replies," Nothing to report."
Magda bursts into the room and attaches herself to Pernille. "Am I late?"
Pernille gives her a look. "Does it look like you're late?"
No, it certainly doesn't and Magda breathes a sigh of relief. "I think I scared Nilla. I left all my luggage with her."
"She's got spare keys," Pernille replies through deep, calming breaths as she works through another contraction," She can take your stuff to my place."
"Is it bad?" Magda asks sympathetically, letting Pernille squeeze her hand," The pain?"
"I've been told it will get worse," Pernille says," The nurse said I'm only five centimetres dilated. We could be here for a few more hours. Have you called Emma yet?"
Magda shakes her head. No, she hasn't. She was a bit preoccupied with making sure that she didn't miss the birth.
"We have time," Pernille says," Call her now and tell her."
●~●~●~●~
It's early in the morning when you make your appearance.
In solidarity, Magda does not go to sleep even though Pernille tells her to multiple times. She doesn't because if Pernille is suffering then it doesn't stand to reason that Magda gets to relax.
She's glad about it too because you come very early in the morning and if she was sleeping, Magda is ninety percent sure that Pernille wouldn't have been able to wake her up.
But you arrive with a lot of fanfare and even more screaming.
The doctor looks at you before turning around to get your weight from the nurses while Magda mops up Pernille's sweaty forehead and pulls her in for a gentle, loving kiss.
"You did it," She whispers," She's here."
Pernille, still exhausted, manages a smile. "She's here."
"For the mamas," The doctor says in stilted English.
He passes the bundle into Magda's arms.
You're finally quiet, swaddled securely in the baby blanket your parents had picked out for you weeks ago. You're staring up at her, with wide unblinking eyes. Your mouth is open and sucking on the air, rooting for milk already.
There are wisps of hair on your head and Magda gently unwraps you. You whine a little at the loss of warmth but quieten instantly when you are laid on Pernille's bare chest.
She looks down at you with a soft look. Her finger came up to stroke your cheek. You turn your head, lips searching for milk but catching her finger instead.
She coos at you as you suckle on her finger, eyes drooping shut.
Pernille looks up at Magda, who has her camera out and has already taken pictures she knows are going to be framed on the wall of her London home.
"She's here," Pernille says again with a watery smile.
"She is," Magda replies. She joins Pernille on the bed and gently strokes your little wisps of hair. "Look at her. We've done so well. She's so sweet."
"You make beautiful babies," Pernille says with a smile.
Magda laughs. "You can't say that to anyone. I've already gotten annoyed with the teasing about me knocking you up."
"Mm," Pernille laughs too," But you did knock me up. I've got the outcome right here."
Your eyes are open again, blinking to adjust to the light and your new outside surroundings. You suck more heavily on Pernille's finger.
"I think she needs a feed," Magda says.
●~●~●~●~
They're discharged from hospital the next day and Magda hovers incessantly when they take you back to Pernille's apartment.
Your nursery has been set up for weeks now, in anticipation when Magda had last visited and raided the local IKEA, building everything herself.
You're dressed up snugly in a bunny onesie, your feet kicking as your finally placed in your crib - which had been immediately moved into Pernille's room when it became clear that neither she nor Magda wanted to be separated from you.
"Hi, princesse," Magda coos.
You kick your legs again.
"You're so pretty, yes you are."
You're kicking becomes more repetitive as you stick your fist in your mouth.
"Look at those legs go. You're going to be such a good addition to Sweden when you're older."
"You mean Denmark," Pernille rasps. She rubs her eyes, having just taken a quick power nap. "I'm not raising my daughter to wear a Sweden jersey."
Magda rolls her eyes playfully. This conversation had been happening ever since they found out Pernille was pregnant. "We'll see."
Pernille picks you up gently, supporting your head before guiding Magda to the rocking chair, slowly placing you in her arms.
Magda leans down to kiss your head and breathe in your unique newborn smell. She smiles. You stare up at her.
A camera sounds and Magda doesn't even have to look up to know Pernille is grinning.
"That's getting framed," Pernille says," I think I'll put it on my bedside table. So I can remember this moment with you and the princesse."
"We need to give her a name soon," Magda says as Pernille crouches by the rocking chair and pulls the onesie's hood up onto your head, making it look like you have floppy bunny ears. "We can't keep calling her the princesse."
"Mmm." Pernille's finger strokes over your cheek. "I know it wasn't on the list but I like y/n."
"y/n," Magda repeats," Is that your name? Are you a y/n?"
You kick your legs out, catching Magda in the ribs.
"That's a pretty powerful strike, princesse. I think she's giving us her approval."
Pernille's eyes are so full of love that Magda almost bursts into tears. "I think so too. y/n Harder-Eriksson."
"y/n Eriksson-Harder."
"We've got another day before the trip to the embassies. We'll argue about her last name later," Pernille says," What matters right now is princesse has a name now."
"It's a very pretty name."

...could I ask for 'paper rings' x george weasley? 🤭
I just feel like it fits him so well 😫
PAPER RINGS
❥ george weasley x muggle!reader
❥ warnings; maybe some underage drinking, people being high.... nothing else i think
❥ word count: 1,9k
❥ a/n: i wanted to make this longer than it is but it was taking waaayyyy too long
you didn't want to go to this party, but it was your best friend's birthday and she meant a whole lot to you.
you could hear the loud music from miles away and when you arrived at her house, you could already feel your head explode even though you weren't even inside yet.
your friend greeted you the moment you walked through the door and wrapped her arms around you tightly. she was drunk already, you could tell, not only by her behaviour but also by the smell coming out of her mouth while she was yelling at you.
"i'm so glad you're here!"
"happy birthday!" you placed a kiss on her cheek. she grabbed your hand and let her lead you into the kitchen, as if she has forgotten you were there milion times before.
you looked around as you were being dragged. no really familiar faces around. you assumed that most of the people there had to be from the witchy school she's going to.
"you have to try this!" your friend handed you a cup.
you smelled it. it smelled like a regular beer with. . . butter? "what's that?"
"butterbeer. it's really popular in the wizarding world."
you took a sip. "hm." you weren't the biggest beer fan but this tasted surprisingly good. "you'll have to bring this here more often."
"y/f/n, this is an amazing party!" a girl appeared by your side.
"thank you, angie," y/f/n smiled warmly. "oh, sorry, y/n, this is angelina johnson, angie, this is my best friend y/n y/l/n."
you shook her hand, noticing her pupils were dilated. she was, most likely, high.
"there you are," said a tall ginger boy appearing behind the girl you just met. you could tell that he, too, had something to smoke.
and that's when you saw him.
trailing behind his doppelganger, with perfectly normal pupils, was him. the boy who'd change your life forever. but you didn't know it back then.
"well, well, well," he took you in, eyeing you up and down, "how come i don't know you?"
y/f/n rolled her eyes. "that's my best friend y/n. she's a muggle."
his eyes widened as if he has never met someone like you before. probably, he hasn't.
"well, hello," he handed out his hand and accepted it. "my name's george weasley ans that—" he pointed at the almost same looking boy who was talking to angelina, "— is my brother fred. you can easily tell that i'm the more handsome one."
he was more handsome than his twin. he was very handsome, in fact. you had to mentally slap yourself for thinking like that.
"hm, i actually think fred is the more attractive one," you joked.
george gave you a look and then laughed. what a beautiful sound that was. "i don't believe you, at all."
and then he turned around and left without another word.
who'd know a one minute long interraction with the boy could have such a big impact on you.
for the entire night, you watched george from afar because you didn't have the confidence to go and talk to him. you watched talk to thousands of different girls and although you wished they were all you, you thought it was better not to try at all rather than getting rejected.
after all. . . you had a boyfriend.
that morning after the party, the first thing you did after waking up was calling y/f/n.
"huh?" her voice sounded tired. you realized you most likely woke her up.
but you didn't care.
"tell me more about george," you said.
"oh, hello, to you, too, y/n."
you rolled your eyes. "yeah, hi."
"what do you want to know about him?"
"everything."
you could almost see her frowning and furrowing her eyebrows. "why?" and then, you could see her face of sudden realization. "oh, y/n, do you have a crush on george weasley?"
"shut up, y/f/n, and talk."
you heard her laugh. "alright. well, he's a gryffindor, the same house like me. he and his brother are big pranksters. but they're not, like, harmful. other than fred, he has five other siblings. uhm. . . i'd say he's more shy and less confident than fred, although, i can tell it didn't look like that yesterday."
"okay. . ." you paused for a second. "and has he go—"
"no. no girlfriend," y/f/n cut you off. "he dated angelina for a while but it didn't work out between them and she's with fred now. but it was like ages ago. no bad blood between any of them."
you let out a sigh of relief. "alright, thanks."
"no problem." you heard her inhale. "but i need to ask you, y/n. . . what about paul?"
paul. your boyfriend, paul.
you put your head in one of your hands. "i don't know what i'm doing. please, forget i've ever met george and that i asked you about him, okay?"
"but y/n—"
"bye!"
you hung up before y/f/n could say anything else.
it was the first hanging out with paul after your latest fight.
it was nothing really special (although, you'd later realize that the action itself didn't make something special, it was rather who you were with). london finally welcomed the sunny summer weather with open arms and so you two decided to take a walk, buy some pastries in your favourite bakery and eat them in hyde park.
"i'll go in, you wanna wait outside?" paul asked you and you nodded. he knew what to get, anyway.
as you watched him walking inside, waiting in the line and then ordering, a familiar voice snapped you out of your thoughts.
"fancy seeing you here." he looked beautiful like the night you first met him at the party. however, he maybe looked even more angelic inthe sunlight.
you froze, despite the hot weather.
"what are you doing here?" you asked him, your voice sounding harsher than you intended.
george looked surprised at the tone you were talking with, but he decided not to comment it.
"following you, obviously. what else?" you knew he was joking but nothing seemed funny at that moment. especially when you knew that paul is going to be back any second and he was also the most jealous boy you knew. that also explained that some boys only talking to you were the main reason of most of your arguments.
george's smile dropped at your annoying look but he shook his head and his lips shaped into that beautiful smile again.
"listen, i was wondering if you ever want to-"
"i have a boyfriend," you cut him off.
he looked around before his eyes met yours again. "well, where is he?"
"here," paul's voice filled your ears. you felt his fingers intertwining with yours. george's soft gaze turned into a glare at the sight of your hand in his.
"who's that, love?" he asked you. and you didn't feela thing when he called you that. no blood rushing into your cheeks, no internal screaming. but when george only looked at you, your heart rate raised by thousand beats per minute, your palms started to sweat and you felt like exploding.
what the hell was wrong with you?
"no one," you answered shortly. "let's go."
you two walked past the ginger boy and you didn't even spare him one last glance. not even when you could feel him watching you two walking away until you turned around the corner and dissapeared out of his sight.
for next month, two or three, you ran into george so many times you lost count. but you knew that most, if not all, of the times, it was no coincidence. he simply was where you were because he just knew. and you'd be lying if you said it wasn't driving you absolutely mad.
you didn't know what it was but something was keep pulling you towards him. like gravity — something natural and irresistable.
you couldn't deny he was attractive even if you wanted to. with his bright green eyes and a hearty laugh, it would be almost impossible not to make your heart skip a beat whenever you saw him.
like now for example.
y/f/n threw another party. no reason, just because she felt like it. however, when you asked her if george was going to be here and she replied with; "no", you believed her.
big mistake.
you watched him from a far, like the first party you met, talking to other girls instead of being by your side. you wished that he would reject them and make his way to you. however, you could only imagine that.
"you know, you could always just. . . talk to him." the voice behind you made you jump. it sounded the same as george's, but it wasn't him.
you raised your eyebrow. "talk about what? the weather?"
he gave you a look. "you aren't bluffing anyone but him. you see, my brother can be a bit oblivious to when a girl really likes him. and he's losing a bit of his hope every time you turn him down. i know it might seem endless, but he's not gonna be running after you forever. i give it another two months max before he gets exhauated and stops. you may want to let him know you're really into him before that happens."
you stared at him, speechless.
"wow, fred," y/f/n said. "you sound so wise. how much have you drunk?"
he laughed and shrugged. "i have no idea."
it took you another two drinks to pick up all your courage approach him. your hand shook as you reached for his and it set you on fire when you finally touched him.
without a word, you grabbed his hand and led him away from the girl he was just talking to. but since he didn't complain, you took it that ge didn't mind at all.
you two walked into an empty room, y/f/n's parents's bedroom. you sighed as you turned around to look at him.
"what?" he asked you as you tried to find the right words to start the conversation. it did take you a while. "look, if you're not going to say anything, i'm leavi—"
"i do fancy you," you finally blurted out. " i really do." he looked at you wide-eyed and for the first time, you saw him struggling with what to say, too. "it's just that i have a boyfriend. and i guess i don't really know how to break up with him. our relationship has always been complicated and i'm honestly quite scared about the things he could do if i end us. but you're just. . . different than him. in the best way possible. and i really want my boyfriend to be you," you rambled.
"i won't let him do anything to you. i'll beat him up if that's neccesary," he spoke and took a few steps closer to you.
you laughed as you repeated his action and soon enough, you were close enough to kiss. and you did. and you weren't scared to admit that you haven't been kissed and held like this before.
and then when you woke up next to him in the morning after a night full of (only!) talking about the all the things you can think of, you realized that you watching him breathe is something you can imagine doing every morning for the rest of your life.

The Lapse (Part 2)
George Weasley x Reader
Part 1
Warnings: English isn't my first language, use of you/your, use of she/her sometimes, swear words, beginning writer/not reviewed 🧡
George slowly opens his eyes.
Head spinning a little from lying down still drunk, me he looks around and mentally thanks when he realizes that he's in his own bed, even without know how he got there. George only remembers that you brought him home, the rest is all messed up. He turns around and sinks his face into the pillow, ‘Maybe if I don't move, my head will stop hating me’.
Luckily, George always dealt well with hangovers, he knew he would be fine soon. After a few minutes of complete silence, the bedroom door creaks and Fred slowly enters the room, looking for his brother with a glass of water in one hand.
"Are you awake yet?" — Fred's face lights up with a mischievous smile, and he gives the foot of the bed a little kick. George lets out a muffled grunt before turning over and sitting up. Fred's smile softens as he sits next to his brother on the bed, "Seriously, are you okay? When I arrived yesterday, you were already asleep."
"Yeah, just a little dizzy, but" — George reaches over and takes the glass from his brother's hand. "I think I had a dream" — He drinks the water in a hurry.
"A dream?"
"I dreamed that I told her that I like her," George speaks each word hesitantly, looking at the bottom of the empty glass. "Was it just a dream, right?" — He says placing the glass on the dresser next to the bed, his voice tinged with hope. Hope this isn't a memory messed up by alcohol. Hope that he hasn't ruined everything with you.
Don't get it wrong. He wants to tell you, he even has a plan to ask you out and tell you, a very elaborate plan, by the way. He just doesn't know when he'll do it. Fred gets lost in his own thoughts, eyes fixed on a corner of the room, trying to remember something that could help his brother.
"Well, when she said it was better for you to go home, you said you would only go with her" — Fred starts rambling about the last night. "You even preferred walking back instead of using magic, just so you could 'spend more time with her,' and I might have seen you hugging her as you left the bar. So I'm pretty sure it wasn't a dream."
George rub his face with his hands, letting out an indignant growl. Did he really tell you? What if you didn't want to talk to him anymore or felt uncomfortable around him from now on? As if Fred could hear his twin's thoughts, he pats George's back, trying to comfort him.
"It's not a bad thing, we both know you've wanted to say this for a while, and I know she likes you too," he pauses, even though you never said it out loud, he knows you do. "We are already adults, the excuse that you will wait to see if it isn't just teenage love doesn't work anymore."
"I know"
"Not even the excuse of making the store work first, or the excuse of waiting for the right moment, or"
"Okay, I understood" — George slaps his brother's chest with the back of his hand, not too hard, enough for Fred to stop talking.
"Aggressive" — Fred held his chest in false offense, "Get ready soon so we can open"
The rest of the day was lazy. The weather was cloudy, the cold outside contrasting with the warm atmosphere inside the WWW, making the place more cozy, the sky was threatening rain and the store was quieter than last week. Fred stopped in front of one of the huge windows, watching outside, while George went upstairs to clean up the mess left over from the weekend. Throughout the day, George remembered one thing or another that he had said to you, so he was trying to keep his mind busy to avoid serving a customer with a red face.
Somewhere between tidying up the last shelf and throwing away an empty box, George remembered you complaining about the difficulty of opening their front door. "Bloody hell" — He curses himself under his breath as he rubs his face, trying to shake off the shame of having hung onto you like a spoiled child. Or a clingy boyfriend.
George rests his forearms on the railing and lets his head fall between his shoulders, eyes fixed on the floor and his mind doing what it does best: coming up with a plan and thinking about you. As if the universe is in a good mood, the doorbell rings and a familiar voice, greeting Fred, can be heard.
Your voice, sending shivers down George's back.
He lifts his head, looking for you, his body reacting faster than he cares to admit. You enter WWW, immediately enveloped by the cozy warmth. You don't bother taking off your coat; there's a light rain outside and the stores are starting to close, so you wouldn't stay long.
"I just stopped by to say hi," you greet Fred and look around, missing the other redhead.
When your eyes meet and George realizes you've caught him looking at you, a shy smile plays on his lips. You smile back waving at him, trying to decide between to face the situation head-on or pretend nothing happened.
"I came to see if you were okay. Are you ok?" — There's a playful tone in your voice, you really care, but seeing George awkward like that is funny and a little cute. He clears his throat and composes himself before answering you.
"Yes, and you? It's late. Are you going home?" — You live in an apartment above your own store, similar to the twins' place. It isn't that far from the WWW but it was already dark, and even though he knew you knew how to protect yourself, George was always worried about you walking alone.
"Yeah, I planned to walk back, but the day was busy, it got dark in the blink of an eye, so..."
"Do you want company?" — A wave of confidence hits George, "They say I'm great company, if you want..."
Fred, behind you, shoots a quick OK sign and an exaggerated wink towards George. It takes you a few seconds to respond, the idea of talking about yesterday appearing in your mind, a mix of emotions hitting you.
"Okay, I'd love to," you say.
George goes downstairs, picks up his jacket that was leaning on a counter, and puts it on, while you head towards the exit. Before you can open the door, George arrives first and opens it for you. Taking care of you has always come naturally to him.
You made small talk most of the way. You talked about the weather, the new store in the alley, everything except what had been on your mind all day. That is, until a couple passed by you – a drunk girl and a boy helping her. They laugh as she hugs his arm, almost making them fall.
They walk away and a silence settles, broken only by the light rain and the sounds of shoes on the wet ground.
"About last night, I'm sorry for making you take care of me," George says as you walk side by side, using the storefronts as an umbrella from the fine rain. He swallows hard. It had always been easy to talk to you; he didn’t know why it was so difficult now.
"It's okay, I don't mind. You leaned on me like a koala, but I like taking care of you," you reply throwing him a small smile. You know George would always help you, why wouldn't you do the same for him? What you don't know is what this simple sentence did to George.
He feels amazing, like every time he is with you. His heart races, and a warmth spreads through his chest.
"And what I said..." George speaks slowly, analyzing your reaction. You click your tongue as if you don't care but start fiddling with your fingers nervously. It wasn't hard to fall in love with George; even Fred jokes about you acting like lovers since your 4th year at Hogwarts. But since he didn't make the first move, you conclude that you've fallen in love alone.
"There's no need to worry, Georgie. I don't believe the words of drunk people", you say, crossing the street and looking down, suddenly finding the floor very interesting. But George stops. Something clicks in his head with your sentence; he doesn't want you to think it was a lie. George would never lie about it.
Damn, he had to be exhausted and drunk to be able to tell you, but he meant it. George is really good at doing stupid things; luckily, he's also good at solving them. Maybe he can fix the mess he made yesterday.
"I'm not drunk now" he says loudly, making you stop. George tenses as you turn to him with a confused look on your face, the drizzle catching you now, "If I say it again now, would you believe it?"
"Are you serious? Like, do you really mean it?" — Your voice comes out louder than you expected, you weren't mad, just surprise. The possibility that you are hallucinating crosses your mind, but the sincerity in George's eyes tells you otherwise. George didn't want to hide this from you anymore, even if it made you hate him. If you want to hit him for ruining your friendship, Merlin knows he would let you.
You take a deep breath. "I would believe"
He lets out a breath he didn't even know he was holding. George looks at you with wide eyes, like a deer caught in headlights, trying to process the situation.
"I wanna be" — Before he can finish, the drizzle turns into heavy rain, drowning out the noise around you and soaking your clothes. Without hesitation, George grabs your hand and runs towards your place, the rain and his gentle touch catching you off guard. Luckily, your store isn't far away and has a large facade where you can escape the rain.
As soon as we both huddle under the shelter, bursting into laughter, he lets go of my hand to fix some strands of hair that stuck to his face, and I have to hold myself back so I don't grab him again. "Don't worry, you're already pretty enough" — I say as George uses the window as a mirror. I run my fingers through my wet hair and wipe the cold water off my face as much as I can.
George let out a chuckle, "And people say I'm the flirt" — He says shaking his head, as if in disbelief. How can someone be so idiotic and handsome at the same time?
"Cause you're" — He turns to me with his eyes wide and his jaw dropped, if I didn't know George, I would be worried. Quickly, his expression changes to a proud one, he shrugs with a smug smile, enjoying the compliment. We stand in front of each other, the cold breeze passes through both of us and although the wet clothes are starting to bother me, I don't want to leave here. Not without knowing first.
Maybe I shouldn't have waited for him to take the initiative, maybe I should do it, I'll do it.
"So," — I keep my hands in my pockets, trying to ignore the cold, trying to look more confident. "You were saying..."
"I was saying that... we can be more, you know?" — He plays with his eyebrows making me laugh. George has a calm smile that contrasts with the hesitant step he takes closer to me. I wanna tell him that he can stop with the nonsense.
Go direct to the point.
But what's the fun in that?
"Hmm? What do you wanna be?" — I lean in, letting my hands draw circles on his chest as I try to calm my heart. His body feels warm against the slightly cold weather around us; 'I feel my body getting warm too'. George catches on to my teasing, the expression changing, a lustful gleam passing through his eyes.
His gaze shifts from my eyes to my lips and I have to take a deep breath, George gently places his hands on each side of my waist and pulls me closer. Our chests touch and I'm sure George can feel my heart racing, the tension between us palpable in the air, crackling like electricity.
"You know what I want, sweet"
"Yeah, but I want to hear it. I need to hear you say it"
"Fuck..." — George's breath catches against my skin. He leans in, your mouth hovers over my ear. Knowing the effect this would have on me, he whispers
"I wanna be yours"
The heart skipping a beat, George's warm breath sending shivers down your spine, and for a moment you lose your breath. You turn your faces at the same time. Eye contact returns, but the confident pose and provocative look that you had a few seconds ago is gone.
George could admire you for hours from this position, but now was not the time for that, without hesitation, he closed the gap between you and captured your lips in a passionate kiss, making a sigh escape you. Your hand instinctively reached out, fingers curling around a fold of his coat.
George holds your hand tightly, as if you could disappear, holding on to the one he always wanted and wouldn't let go so soon now that he finally has.
And it feels so right.
Like you always should have been here.
Your tongues explore each other and George's hand travels over your body, hugging your waist. The feeling of his lips on yours is soft, his touch is soft, in contrast to the hunger for the kiss. The intensity of the kiss slowly fades, and with one last peck, you reluctantly part, but George doesn't move away from you.
He rests his forehead on yours, the breaths mingling with the cold wind, you stayed like that for a while, enjoying the moment, in no rush to separate. George lets out a low muffled laugh as you wrapped your arms around his waist inside the suit, you're still feeling the heat of the moment, but now the breeze is starting to get to you. George's face lights up with the same pretty smile you've always loved.
He admires you with red cheeks and ear tips. 'I must not look different', you think, looking at him with a downcast gaze. George hugs you and you snuggle into his chest. "Are you cold?" — He asks, adjusting the sides of his jacket around you as much as he can.
"Yes" — You pause, gathering the courage to ask, "It's really cold out here, do you want to come in?"
"Come in? Like... just until the rain stops or spending the night?” — George jokes, unable to stop looking at you, with a twinkle in his eyes. 'You shift your weight from one foot to the other muttering a low drawl 'yeah'.
"I don't know, I just want to spend more time with you, If you don't wanna"
Before you can finish, George interrupts you, "If I ever say no to you, I want you to take your wand and curse me. I'm talking about an Avadra" — You laugh loudly pushing him lightly.
···•···
Bônus: "Just so you know, if you hadn't slept, you would have heard me say I wanted to be more than friends sooner, idiot." — You say with a wide smile on your face looking for the key in your coat pocket.
"I was exhausted. You're lucky I turned off after we were already inside the house." — George says, hugging you from behind and purposely making it difficult for you to open the door.
···•···
This should have been post sooner but oh well, I posted, that's what matters It's my first time writing a kiss and I don't think it's amazing but it was fun to do so... i hope you like 🧡

FFXIV Write: Tempest
You're as charming as ever,” he says to me with a smile on his lips and malice in his eyes. With Marrant every compliment is actually criticism.
“That's true,” I reply and beam a giant grin at him that I hope is so brilliantly charming it fucking blinds him. “Which is why you went out of your way to contact me. You've missed this,” I motion back and forth to the “this” between us; it's nothing but animosity.
We stare at each other for what feels like a lifetime, neither of us blinking. I just come around to the idea that this interaction is intensely stupid when he sighs (and, notably, blinks first).
“Look, Lika, I need your help,” he finally says.
“Oh, is that all?” I ask cheerfully, “Great! No.”
Ah, that felt good! I just sat down at this bar and now I'm getting back up again. I love a good exercise.
I'm out the door in a heartbeat, but he's right behind me. He grabs my arm to keep me from disappearing into the night. I slap his face for having the audacity. The sound echoes through the empty alleyway we now stand in. Wow. Great acoustics in this spot!
A storm crosses his face, darkening every feature and tensing his jaw. I love storms. I especially love them on his face because it means I've pissed him off. If we fight here, anybody in proximity– tourists wandering the city at night, patrons in the bar, the asshole wine vendor parked right outside the bar selling overpriced bottles to the already drunk patrons exiting said bar– will need to run for cover.
It's been so long since I've seen that expression on his face that I almost welcome it. Let's have it out here. Let him tell me how I ruined his life all those years ago. Let me tell him he hasn't seen anything yet.
But the storm passes almost as soon as it arrives. I'm surprised. And mildly disappointed. I pretend I'm neither and return to the earlier game of staring bitchily at him and not blinking. It's still stupid. Oh, well.
“I need you to rob a rival of mine,” he finally says after a breath to gather his senses again.
Here's another thing about Marrant: He always hated when I stole things… except for when I'd steal them for him. Seems nothing has really changed.
“Fascinating,” I reply. “Tell me more. Who is this rival?”
Relief softens his features. “His name is Audr Shade. His home is in Lavender Beds.”
“Audr Shade?” I repeat thoughtfully.
“That's right.”
Great!” I chirp. “I'll just go off and let him know you wanted to hire someone to rob him. Maybe he'll give me something nice for being an upright citizen! But even if he doesn't it'll still be worth it because I did something good and moral.”
He used to say shit about how I wasted all my talent doing pointless, petty tomfoolery instead of something ambitious, moral, and good. I hate the me that dated this blowhard. I also hate the me that remembers anything he said to me during that time.
He smiles at my response. His inner monologue is probably something like: “She used to pretend what I said didn't bother her. When she responds by repeating my words back at me I see that it did. I smile because in that moment I know I've won.”
Forget all the mes that I hate. I hate this asshole most of all.
“Fuck you, Marrant.”
“Mature as ever, Lika. Listen, I know you despise me. And you know the feeling is mutual. So consider for just a moment that if I've come to you that, sure, yes, I'm desperate. But there might also be something you can get out of it that is even better than my desperation.”
Obviously I want to say there's nothing better than his desperation but that lends itself far too easily to a sex joke. And there's really nothing that would repulse me more than associating sex with this guy ever again.
Better, I think, to say, “I don't care. This is boring. I'm going home now.”
He looks annoyed before replying, “But you do care about something and I have information about it. I will give you that information if you first rob Audr Shade and then rob me immediately after.”
Then rob him immediately aft– what the hell? No. Don't fall for this, Malika. You don't care.
“I don't care. Good luck with the self-sabotage or whatever the fuck, you absolute fungus.”
“The Tempest Tapestry,” he says quickly. “I know where it can be found.”
I'm speechless. It's not because I'm impressed by what he's said; it's because I'm pissed. If I open my mouth to say anything at all it will open so wide that I will swallow him whole. I look like a 5’4” miqo’te standing in a dingy alleyway, but I’m actually a swirling vortex of rage. How dare he try this on me? How dare he even say those words?
He takes my silence as a good sign because he's an idiot. “It wasn't easy,” he says with a self-satisfied preen and smile.
“It's impossible,” I correct him as levelly as I can, “Because it isn't real. I already looked into it. You didn't find shit because there isn't shit to find, Marrant.”
There’s a legend that there is a book so old that only luck and spite keeps it held together. I admire that. The cover is said to be sewn together by thousands of threads, all a different color. That book is said to hold the answers of how to find the first item ever spun in the Spinner’s loom: The Tempest Tapestry. The book is named the same. I’d told Marrant years ago that finding and stealing that would be the ultimate job. I'd stop stealing after that.
I didn't mean it, of course. That's stupid. Might as well tell me to stop breathing. But if the book existed– which, again, it doesn't because I've fucking looked– I'd still want it.
“There's no such book,” I say, my voice low, hot and full of barbed wire. I'm saying this to myself more than to him. I can't get obsessed looking for this again. I can't. It almost destroyed me the first time.
“I'm not talking about the book,” he counters. “I mean the actual tapestry, Lika. I can tell you where it is.” No, he can't. That's stupid and offensive.
But I'm in trouble. I could and should say no this. Whoever has told him they know where this tapestry is is lying because there isn't one. It isn't real. It's a story.
But someone believes they have something they are pretending is the Tempest Tapestry. That's 1) blasphemy, I suppose and 2) fucking intriguing. Of course I want to see what someone thinks they could pretend is a legendary artifact.
And even when it's nothing but trash I'm going to want to steal it. Stories are more important than truth. People tend to believe in stories more than they believe the truth, too. Stories have power.
I'm so dizzy with wanting to do this, I think I might throw up.
This is a trap. It's so obvious. I go to steal from this Audr Shade guy and then from Marrant as he's requested and there are guards waiting at his place to apprehend me– that's GOT to be his plan. That has to be why he wants me to rob him. There's no tapesty. He is making it up. Say no to this, Malika. Walk away. Walk away. Walk away.
“Fine. Tell me more.”
I'm so fucked.
#FFXIVWrite2024#FFXIV Write#FFXIV#Writings#Marrant#Tempest#These can't all be winners#I have an idea in mind for why he wants her to rob him too but this story is already too long#I had a different idea for the information he'd give her but I couldn't make that work#So artifact hunting it is

"Lauren! It's so good to see you again." Soap gets up from his seat and hugs me, before sitting back down. I take the spot next to Alejandro, on the edge of the soft couch everyone's sitting on. "Why did the two of you arrive this late?"
"They were busy fucking." Rudy laughs, clearly had a few drinks already.
"Fucki- Wait, what? I thought you-" The Scot looks confused at my boyfriends and back to me.
"Rudy didn't wanna join this time because he preferred hanging out with the squad." Alejandro sits back and pulls me back too, makes me relax.
"I still don't get it."
"She's our girlfriend since a few weeks."
"What? Really? That took you this long?" Ghost exclaims. "Over five years! The poor girl."
"Yes, but Ale didn't waste a second to get her pregnant."
The guys' jaws drop while looking at me shocked.
"When did that happen?" Even Price is flustered by the news.
"Eh, six weeks ago. We got crazy drunk and had a threesome. It was good."
"That's enough information, Rudy!" I try to keep him from blurting out more details about that night.
"And here I was, not believing in miracles until now." Ghost pulls his mask up and sips from his drink. We all laugh. "It's my turn to get drinks. What do you want, Bonnie?" Soap stretches his arms before walking around the table.
"Sparkling ice tea." I love a fizzy soda.
"Alejandro?"
"The same."
"Go drink, I'll drive us home." I encourage him.
"I don't mind not drinking, cariño (darling)." He smiles when he sees my serious face. "Fino (Fine), I'll start with a beer then."
"Gotcha." Soap goes to the bar to order all of us a drink.
"Are you sure you're okay with driving?"
"Yes, I wouldn't have offered it if I wasn't. I can't drink anyway." I ensure him with my hand on his thigh. He puts his hand on mine as response. "Where's Kyle?" It took me this long to notice he's not here.
"At base, had a bad jet lag and wanted to sleep it off."
"Poor guy, I'll bring him some breakfast in the morning."
"Us too!" Soap is still close enough to hear me.
"Someone missed my cooking."
"Abso-fucking-lutely! Three months in between each time is way too long!"
"I'll make you plenty of Mexican food the next few weeks, okay?"
"Por favor." He pleas in a clear Scottish accent.
"Anything you want." I take my glass of ice tea from the tray he put on the table. "Thanks." He also has something non-alcoholic, is probably the one driving too. "Kyle!" I'm happy to see him out and about. "How are you feeling now?"
"Great, slept like a baby." His eyes trail to the food that I've been preparing for the past hour.
"You must be starving." I know he hasn't eaten since arriving here yesterday evening.
"Big time."
"Good, I made lunch for the others too." I lay more of the burritos I just made on a plate on the tray and before I can grab it to take it to the gym, where the others are practicing, Kyle gets a hold of it.
"Let me take it." With a smile on his face he walks away and I follow him with the jug of fruit agua frescas, fresh fruit water, I made earlier. It's ice cold now, the tastiest way to drink it. We enter the gym and everyone looks up to us. Kyle places the tray on the table in the room and I put down the jug of fruitwater.
"Bonnie, you're fuckin' amazing! I'm starvin'!" Soap grabs one of the burritos from the pile on the tray and immediately stuffs his face. "So good. Can't believe these two haven't married you yet." He mumbles with a full mouth while he sits down on one of the benches. Ghost finishes throwing his stack of knives, hitting the dummy a few times in his chest and straight between the eyes on the last throw. Rudy and Alejandro are also done with the target practice and the three men grab their lunch. Price makes his way over from the fitness machines. Soap has already emptied his plate when Price thanks me while he grabs his.
"You're still hungry, aren't you?"
"Uhm, maybe.." The guilt is visible in his eyes.
"I'll make some more for everyone, just in case there are more hungry men."
"You gotta feed six hungry men now, instead of two." Kyle laughs.
"Thank god it's only for a few weeks." I joke back while leaving the room. I don't mind it at all to make food for the six of them. It's great that these weeks of training together have been going on for over four years now. They're staying for three weeks to train and practice together. That happens three times a year. They alternate every four months. So one year 141 comes here in the winter and the next year in the hot summer. Rudy and Alejandro always complain about the cold winters in the UK and the Task Force guys always complain about the hot summers here in Mexico. Besides that, they all look forward for weeks before the collaborations actually happen. I don't know if I will join Rudy and Alejandro in going to the UK in four months. I'll be pregnant for seven months when we return here. But I also don't want to be without them for multiple weeks. What a dilemma, I have to think about that for a while. "Did you already eat something, babygirl?" Rudy asks when I put the tray with more burritos on the table, for everyone to grab more if they want.
"I tasted some of the filling while cooking, but still feel a bit too sick to eat more."
"Take care of yourself, princesa, you already passed out this morning."
"I'll try some bread when I feel less nauseous." Thinking about having to eat something makes me gag and I put a hand on my mouth.
"Take it easy when you need to."
"I will. Don't worry too much about me."
"Go home early today." He kisses my forehead and goes back to the others who are still enjoying the food and drinks. It's a joy to see all these hungry men go to town on the food I prepared.
Soap walks over to me with another three burritos on his plate. "Lauren, will you please cook flautas for me somewhere in the next three weeks? Or maybe posole or carne guisada?"
"I'll make everything you want before you leave, Johnny."
"You're the best, Lau. Those guys are crazy for not marrying you on the spot." He laughs and infects me with it too.
"I'm sure we will be in a few years." "Go have a rest, cariño (darling), you have been showing off your cooking skills way too much today." Alejandro tells me with a smile on his face.
"It tasted good, though."
"Of course, I taught you." He proudly smiles. My jaw drops, I can't believe my ears.
"The audacity! You better be inviting them for dinner tonight."
"Doll, you've passed out twice now. I'm not letting you push yourself even more than you already did today." He sees my facial expression change and sighs. "I'll invite them for tomorrow's dinner if you promise me to take it easy until then."
"Fine, I'll behave."
"Good girl." After a kiss, he walks back to his patrol car but doesn't get in yet. "But without kidding, you need to rest. I'll come check on you later tonight." After waiting for both cars to drive out of the street, I close the front door of the apartment complex and go upstairs, to my house, for a warm shower.

Slamming his fist on the bar in front of him, he drunkenly shouts for another glass of whatever liquor he has been devouring for the last two hours. The barkeeper threw him an annoyed look, but slid him another glass of cheap whiskey with three ice cubes swimming on the surface. As fast as the glass was served, it was gone. The barkeeper shot the man a surprised, but also disgusted look, not asking any further though. "I'm married. To a beautiful, intelligent woman. Believe it or not." the man slurred. "Sure you are" said the barkeeper, clearly not believing the drunk, disheveled man. "I don't usually drink this much, but it has been a rough few months you know..." the drunk trailed off. The barkeeper only shook his head and tended to different people on the other end of the bar. "Pff, I thought barkeepers had to listen to their guest. That is literally their job. Asshole." the man mumbled to himself.
He was actually supposed to meet his friend Namjoon here, but he seemed to be running late. Right now though he couldn't care less. He is in his feelings and drowns them in alcohol after the events that displayed this morning.
Flashback to this morning
Jin could actually pull himself together this morning and even got out of bed to take a shower. The bed he used to share with her. Everything in this godforsaken apartment reminds him of her. He decided it was time for him to eat something, so he went to the fridge and was greeted by emptiness. "I guess I'll have ramen again..." with a sigh he began to put the kettle on waiting for the water to boil. Suddenly a thought came to his mind that he has not looked into the mail for very long. Jin has called in sick from work for the past few weeks, he would usually look into the mail on his way there, well he hasn't looked at it in a while. With all the mail that was built up in his mailbox, he headed back inside to sort through it. Advertisements. Bills. More Advertisements. A letter from a law firm? Has he forgotten to pay for his parking tickets or something? As he opened it and skimmed through the letters everything seemed to move in slow motion. His heart started beating really loud in his ears and his lungs stopped pumping the air through. A divorce. She wants a divorce...
Flashback end
Jin gets slapped into reality by his friend Namjoon, who has arrived and bumped his shoulder, while squeezing onto the barstool next to him. "I'm so sorry I'm late Jin, work was hell today," Namjoon said, already ready to rant about his busy day. He ordered a martini and turned to Jin again, realizing his friend was in some kind of delirium. "I guess you've had enough to drink huh?"
"She wants a divorce. She hates me" Jin suddenly cried into Namjoon's shoulder. His whole demeanor changed and his drunken state made him emotional and weak. Namjoon hated to see his friend like that, but he knew it was coming for him. They have known each other for almost seven years now and he has never seen his friend that broken. Y/N and Jin were high school sweethearts and got married at an early age. Namjoon and his wife got married rather early too, but they are still together. He had to watch how Jin and Y/N slowly distanced each other from one another and he had a good view of both sides because Y/N already told his wife that she's ready to move ob from Jin. It hurt him too, they're both his best friends after all. "I...I don't know what to say. Wasn't it foreseeable? I mean you don't live together anymore and you both got very distant...it was just a matter of time that she cut ties completely. Matter of fact you're not even together I think." Namjoon said hesitantly.
It was really just a matter of time. Y/N, Jin's soon-to-be ex-wife, has always been such a hard-working person. She wanted to have a great job and then get married and have children. Jin was rather scared of growing old and having kids. He lived an inconsistent life and liked to have fun with his friends. He never saw himself as a father figure, maybe because he never had one growing up, or maybe because he was scared of losing his youth. That is basically how the arguments between the two of them started. The distancing from each other followed suit. Y/N decided to bury herself in her work, with no work-life balance whatsoever. And Jin decided to distance himself from Rory and concentrate on himself. Which led to Rory renting an apartment closer to her workplace two months ago and Jin, just now, realizing what he's done. Or what he's done wrong.
As soon as Y/N left with her last suitcase, Jin knew he was in deep shit. The love of his life just left out of the door and took his heart with her. And that feeling is shit, believe it. "I need her." Jin sighed. "Well, you're realizing that pretty soon...". Namjoon said sarcastically. He wasn't on anyone's side during this break-up. He knew Jin and Y/N since forever, they were the ones to introduce him to his now-wife. Kaiya, Namjoon's wife is Y/N's best friend and is obviously the biased one in this situation. Namjoon decided to stay impartial, but he silently wishes for them to get back together anyway.
"Namjoon, I'm going to get her back. This divorce will not happen. Y/N will not slip through my fingers again!" Jin shouted ambitiously. Namjoon looked around a little embarrassed, they were in public after all. "And how exactly will you do that? Do you even know if she loves you anymore?" Namjoon said.
That stung Jin's heart more than a little. He had to sit down on his barstool again. Does she even love him anymore? Has Y/N fallen out of love? Jin's confidence went from 100 to 0 very fast. "I still love her... I even remember the first time I said it to her" Back in Highschool they had two Calculus classes together and Jin wanted to talk to her so he made a dumb pick-up line and it actually worked on her. He asked her "Are you the square root of minus one? Because you're unreal!" And she laughed so much. It is a dear memory that he wishes to remember for ever. Remembering. Remember? Remember!!! She has to remember her love for him! Jin jumped out of his seat again. "If she does not love me now, I simply have to remind her of her love for me. I will make her fall in love with me all over again. I will make it up to her and give her the life she deserves." He said almost stumbling over his own words. "I guess that could work if we would live in a romance novel or something. This is real life Jin." Namjoon answered.
"Give me 14 days and the divorce will not happen. I will have the love of my life back in my arms. You'll see Namjoon, you'll be the godfather of our children! 14 DAYS!!!" Jin screamed while running out of the bar stumbling a little, straight to where his apartment is, that he used to share with Y/N.
"Shit, I'm going to have to pay this bastard's bill now..." Poor Namjoon.

London Lights (pt. 1) - Tom Holland
Pairing: Tom Holland x Reader (1st person)
Genre: Party!Tom
Warnings: swearing; alcohol; nothing much but I don’t recommend -18 to read.
Word count: 1.9k
Author’s note: Hey guys! That’s my first story on this blog. I hope you’ll like it. I’m not native so there may be a few mistakes. I’m trying a new genre of fiction. It’s my first Tom Holland fiction. It’ll be a series of 2-3 chapters. If you want to be part of the master list for Tom please like this post and message me.
Synopsis: Quarantine has been tough. I’ve lost my boyfriend, and I’m feeling lonely. Clubs and restaurants are open again, but I feel like it’ll never be like it used to. My friends have been pushing me to install Tinder and go on dates. Well, tonight, I’m going on a date. I don’t really want to but I’m going to try and have fun for once. Just a few drinks and I’ll go home. What else could happen?
PS. You can read the story on Wattpad.
What am I doing here? I think to myself.
I matched with this guy on this famous dating app . . . And now I'm supposed to meet him here, at this bar. But I don't want to. I'm just hoping he won't show up so I can escape from this shit-place.
I've been seated at the table for a good 5 minutes. The waitress cleans up the table next to mine and asks if I'm ready to order.
No, I want to leave.
I quickly glance at the drinks menu.
"Ehm . . . A pour over Irish coffee, please."
She nods and leaves. I don't even know what I just ordered. I hope it tastes good. Hopefully it'll make me drunk enough not to remember this awful date.
It hasn't even started yet.
I'm sweating.
"Hey there" says a husky voice right behind me.
I turn around and see my date. His name is Jordan. He's good-looking and I bet he's intelligent, but I don't have this feeling with him. I don't know why I accepted to go on a date in the first place. It's awkward.
"Hey!" I grin.
"Have you ordered something already?" he asks, touching his short, clean beard. "I'm thirsty!"
He looks nice.
*
The waitress hands me my third drink. They help the clock tick a little faster.
He's been talking about his job, his passions. He loves football and practises daily. He has 2 sisters and lives in Camberwell.
Cute.
For a moment, I feel sad for him. He drove all the way to this East London bar, put effort trying to look nice and being cool . . . and yet, he doesn't know it but he has no chance to get lucky tonight. Not with me.
I shouldn't be sorry.
But I am.
I glance around looking for something that might be a little more entertaining than him. I realise I've avoided eye contact since he arrived. I finally glimpse at him. He has beautiful hazel eyes.
Still not enough.
I quickly check my phone. It's getting late. I don't know how to end this.
"Look," I slightly bend over the table. "I'm so sorry but I don't feel like it tonight"
"I noticed." He smirked. "Kinda awkward, innit?"
I chuckle. I am so embarrassed.
"It's okay, though." He added. "I'm just trying to meet new people. I broke up with my ex-girlfriend a few weeks ago. My mates told me I should try these apps."
Okay, now I feel worse than ever. He's been so nice with me and that's how I treat him. I grab my drink and gulp it down.
I shouldn't have done this.
"Let's go dance. I owe you one." I say as I grab his hand and walk towards the dancing area. It becomes difficult to keep my head straight.
I'm drunk, I must admit.
I'm going to regret it, my sober-self shouts in my head.
I don't care is what I reply.
The dancing area is not crowded, but there are already a few people. Most of them are girls.
Girls . . . I wish my friends were not so busy all the time. I would've come to this bar with them instead of wasting my time with strangers.
I start dancing. I stare at him. He looks amused.
A group of guys join the dancefloor and all the girls on my right start screaming. It's so high pitched I cringe.
"What the fuck guys?" I shout, trying to focus on the music.
"Woah, that's Spider-Man!" says my date. He grabs my chin and makes me look in his direction.
No way, I think. It's actually him.
I know he lives in the area, but I've never met him before. It's always weird to see movie stars in real life. They look so much more attractive.
He is so much more attractive.
I try not to be a drunk fangirl and shyly wave to him. He doesn't notice.
"You wanna go and take a picture with him?" my date asks.
"Oh, no, no!" I answer. I'm blushing. "I don't even know what I'd tell him."
He laughs.
The worst thing that could happen is to annoy him during a night out. He needs privacy and I must respect it.
But it's so difficult.
I can't stop staring at him. I don't even control it. Being drunk doesn't help.
"D'you want a beer?" I ask my date whose name I completely forgot.
He nods.
I weave my way through the crowd. I can't believe there are so many people on the dancefloor. The area is so busy since the Spider-Man actor walked in.
Even the bar area is crowded.
I let my body rest against a barstool but quickly lose balance and almost fall on the dirty floor. The flickering lights are making me feel dizzy. I grip the counter and get up. I peer around to make sure nobody saw me.
He did.
I dust off my dress trying to save the dignity I have left.
"Want something?" someone asks behind me. I turn around, it's the barman.
"Two pints of Guinness, please."
I glance back at the same spot, but he's gone. It must've been a dream. I'm so drunk I can't trust everything I think I see.
I'm grabbing both my drinks and look around trying to find my date, but there are too many people. I take a sip of my beer and hold the other one above my head.
Someone hits my arm.
Oh no.
"Oh my God I'm so sorry!" yells the drunk blond girl.
I look at my dress. It's soaking wet. I politely smile at her. "It's okay," I mouth.
What a mess. I glance at the lavatory door. I need to go and save my dress.
"You haven't been lucky here."
I turn around to find out who's talking to me.
It's him. Tom Holland. Talking to me.
"What?" is all I manage to say.
"Do you need a hand?" he politely asks.
I blush so much it's noticeable in the dark.
I'm choking. I'm panicking.
I give him my two beers and walk towards the lavatory. I'm surely starstruck. And drunk. This isn't a good mix.
Once in the room, I grab a handful of tissues and try to soak up my dress. I groan. Did I expect to make that beer mark disappear? Yes. Did it work? Of course not.
I watch my face in the mirror.
I look like shit, I think.
A door slams shut. Two young girls just walked in.
"OH, MY G—THAT'S TOM HOLLAND!" shouts one. They are both panting.
I roll my eyes.
Oh . . . I've given him my beers. What about my date?
"Shit!" I hiss.
I violently open the door and frown my eyebrows as the lights blind me.
He's just here gazing at me. Two beers in his hands. One of them is half empty, the rest being displayed on my dress.
"I'm so sorry!" I say embarrassed as ever.
He smirks. "No worries." He hands me the full glass of beer.
I give him a questioning look as I grab it. What about the other one? Oh, right—He's drinking it.
"What's your na—"
I stop him.
"I know who you are." I peer down. "I'm sorry I didn't wanna disturb you" I say as I'm walking away.
This time I'm smart enough to avoid the crowd on my way out.
"That's rude to leave without saying goodbye!" Tom shouts from a distance.
I turn around and stare at him. He's got a soft smile; he doesn't look drunk at all. I wave him goodbye.
Now, he's approaching me.
"I meant to your boyfriend" he nods in the direction of my date who was dancing with a group of other people.
"He's not my—" is all I can say before he chuckles.
"I figured."
"How?" I clench my jaw. I'm hypnotised by his hand running through his hair. And his smile. And his lips.
"I can barely hear you," he points at a booth in the corner of the room "maybe we could sit there" he suggests.
My mouth softens into a smile.
It's difficult to walk with Tom Holland. Every couple of seconds he's stopped by fans requesting a picture. And he accepts every time.
I'd never be so patient.
"What's that?" he asks.
"It must be so annoying sometimes." I tell him as I sit on the booth.
"When they're nice and ask me, it's cool." He chooses to sit next to me. I can feel his arm touching mine. My heart is racing. He uses his other arm to hold his chin; he looks at me with so much intensity. Sometimes peering down my lips.
His face is so close, but he keeps talking. I can feel his breath on my skin. I'm going to burst into flames. "But when they're taking pictures without asking first, that's delicate."
I nod. I can't really listen to what he's talking about. I'm trying not to lose control.
"So, what's your name?"
He smiles when I tell him. "Why did you leave your date alone?" he asks.
I'm so nervous I stutter. I can't find my words. "I . . . I wasn't in the mood. He knows it. I shouldn't have come here."
"I'm happy you came." He says looking me in the eyes.
I raise my eyebrows. "Are you flirting with me?"
He barks out a laugh and breaks the eye contact. He rests his head on the wall behind us.
He isn't as confident as I thought he'd be. I don't know what's up with him, but I enjoy it.
I suddenly remember he's a movie star. He's always being watched. I glance at the crowd and see flashing lights. They're taking pictures of us.
I'm getting dizzier.
I don't want to see my face on a dumb article talking about Tom Holland's mysterious partner. I don't even know him.
"This is stupid" I mumble.
Tom is intrigued. He hasn't got a clue what I'm talking about. He hasn't even noticed the fans stalking him.
"I'm sorry, I gotta go" I abruptly say as I stand up. "Have a good night."
I grab my phone and leave the venue. I'm upset because I really wish I could've met him in a different context. I open my Uber app: there's no driver available.
Shit.
How's that even possible on a Friday night? In London?
I refresh the app, but it doesn't work. I guess I'll have to walk home.
A part of me wants to go back in this bar and spend time with Tom. He's sweet and I'm sure we would've had so much fun together. I glance through the window trying to see his face one last time, but I can't find him.
"What are you looking for?"
I cringe.
"Oh, sorry I didn't mean to startle you."
It's him. It's Tom.
"What are you doing here?" I ask.
"Going home too. The fun of the party is leaving . . ." he sighs. I smile back at him. I'm embarrassed.
I stand in front of him, none of us say a word. It's awkward. I'm getting anxious and walk away. I'm so overwhelmed.
He grabs my shoulder. "Wait, are you walking home?"
"Yeah, it's okay don't worry." I smile.
"I can drive you home."
"Sorry, but you've been drinking. I won't let you drive me." I curtly say.
He grins. He looks at one of his mates and nods.
"No way I'm letting you walk home alone," he sighs "besides, you're drunk."
"Come with me then" I instantly reply without thinking.
He nods.
What?
He's coming with me. My heart is racing. I won't survive a 30-minute drunk walk with him.
Not with his beautiful glossy eyes staring at me.
Not with my burning desire to kiss him.

Since you saw this morning Olivia Benson walking downstairs accompanied by Voight, your good mood got burned into ashes just in a sight. He hadn't told you that she was going to come and, actually, he hadn't why to tell you. For him, it's only part of his job. But you know it's something else for her. You have seen her how she looks at your man. The unjustified and unnecessary touches on his back, on his arm. The stupid smiles she draws to him, that you would be delighted of erasing using your fist.
You have never, ever, been the kind of jealous girl. You trust your boyfriend blindly, but you don't trust her. You can't. You have tried it with all your efforts, but then you heard her laughing for no reason and Hank responding with a fleeting smile. You haven't talked him about how you feel, because the age gap between both makes you look stupid sometimes. Fortunately, you're professional enough to not let these things affect your job and your relationship. You have learnt how to hide your emotions, even if sometimes your friends suspect that something is going on by the tic that makes you blink your left eye unconsciously.
Aware that he must be there with his amazing friend, Kim places a hand on your shoulder trying to encourage you to cross the entrance and come into the Molly's. Licking your lips as you calm yourself a little, you nod pushing the door to be embraced by the warm atmosphere inside it, covering you from the cold breeze of Chicago. Letting your eyes travel around the place, you greet some of your friends waving a hand, before landing your gaze on your boyfriend. He turns at that exact moment, not even trying to contain a smile. You show him another back, but his disappears when he sees you passing him away straight to the Unit's table without greeting him. And Olivia notices it, but you don't care.
“What's up, trouble?” Jay pulls down your hair, earning a laugh from you.
“Platt said you crashed a patrol”. Wrinkling your nose in a funny gesture, after Adam's words, you take a seat next to him.
“These aren't the things you have to learn from us, you know it, right?” Antonio makes you all chuckle, calling to his sister raising a finger to ask for more beers.
“I caught the bad guy, didn't I?”
“Yeah, crashing a car”. Atwater raises his eyebrows, leaning over the table.
“But I caught the bad guy, that's my job not to take care of the cars. I'm not a mechanic…”
“BUT A COP!” You all say in unison, as always, like a famous quote.
As soon as the beers arrive, you make another toast for your car lost in action. And everything is fun until you feel a presence behind you and the silence gets installed around your table. Gulping and licking your bottom lip, as your friends drink from their bottles trying to pretend that you all weren't doing what you were doing, you turn around over your stool forcing a smile.
“Having fun, officer (Y/L/N)?” Platt's voice gives you the kind of shivers you can hide.
“No, no, n— I mean… yes”. The look on her face causes you to swallow again. “I me—mean, no?”
“It's a simple question. Yes or no”.
“Trudy, leave the kid alone”.
Saved by the bell. Your hero.
“Crash a car is part of our tradition, ain't it?” Hank tries to put some humor in the situation, traveling his eyes from her to you.
“Hm”. The woman just replies, before walking away.
You don't know about what kind of tradition he is talking of, but at least he has saved your ass. Again. Not being able to look at him, you sip from your beer trembling yet. Probably, tomorrow Crowley will ask for a convincing explanation. I caught the bad guy will not work with her, that's for sure. Feeling a soft touch in your lower back, you raise your orbs from the bottle to your boss, who makes a brief move with his chin to point at the back door at the end of the bar. You don't want to go, you know exactly what it's going to happen and you just want to forget the intense day you have had. But he raises his eyebrows with that cockiness usual on him, about to drag you if you don't put down from your stool.
With an imperceptible sight, you end up obeying in silence under the attentive eyes of your friends. Hank walks behind you with both hands in the pocket of his jeans, as you wear your jacket to zip it above your chest. The fresh air hits your face once you reach the Molly's back alley, resting your back against the wall with your face bowed to your military black boots. Placing himself in front of you, he studies thoroughly your gesture, your lips pressed and the lack of eye contact.
“What's the matter?”
Shaking your head slightly, you cross one leg behind the other, putting your hands on your lower back.
“You're jealous, aren't you?”
Letting go an exaggerated chuckle, you roll your eyes before gluing them on him. “You're calling that jealousy? If she can still use her legs, I'm not being jealous”.
“It ain't a good moment to be sarcastic, sweetheart”.
“I'm not. She is just a colleague, right?”
Hank nods in silence tilting his head closer and you're sure he can hear your heart speeding up under your skin. He always does that, putting you nervous only to prove the power he has on you, on your body, on your senses. And you hate him. You hate how proud he feels because of it. The grin on his face causes a chill down your spine, standing up from the wall to pretend that he is wrong, that he doesn't control your reactions.
“Hm… Good to know you're conscious of her position. She's gonna stay in my house tonight. We didn't plan to need more than one day and she doesn't have a place”.
For a moment, the image of you punching his face runs your mind, keeping your hands inside the pockets of your jacket to close them in two fist until you feel your nails hurting your palms. There are a lot of replies to his words stuck in your throat, but if it's a proof of trust, you would fail miserably. This is a clash of titans and you're not going to let him win.
“That's fine”. You respond squinting at him, taking a step ahead almost facing Hank. “Anything else?”
“No”.
“Okay”.
With a feigned smile, you turn to the left to leave the alley and come back to your private party, which means to get drunk until Burgess and Hailey have to carry you home.
“What an interesting night is gonna be”. Hank whispers seeing you grabbing the doorknob, teasing you as only he knows how to do.
Kissing your lips as your steps stop dead, you turn your head about to lose your calm.
“If I see her putting a hand on your leg again, I'm gonna break every single fucking bone of her body”.
You couldn't help it. He knows exactly which words he has to use to push you to the edge. The worst part is the fun he usually has doing it. Walking towards you moving his head as if he was nodding, Hank caresses his bottom lip with a forefinger looking thoughtful.
“I didn't think of you as someone violent”.
“Fucking watch me, Voight”.
“Hm…”
Containing a laugh, he opens the door for you, pointing at the inside with a hand. Clearly challenging you. But before you can pass him away, the sergeant grabs your forearm to push you back and lean his lips over your ear.
“She booked the hotel yesterday”. His raspy voice touring your head makes you feel your cheeks burning in shame.
He has won already and you know it. Wanting to leave him again, he pulls you back again hearing the heavy snort escaping your mouth.
“She knows who you are. Told her this morning”.
Did really he? Arching up one of your eyebrows, you can't help but turn your face slightly at him. Your parted lips reveal the surprise and the confusion. Why can she know it, but not your friends? Just because she doesn't work in Chicago? It isn't fair. At least, under your opinion. It's not like you're going to act like Voight's girlfriend and take the advantage of what it means. But it allows you to smile at him when you cross your eyes in the hallways, it allows you to don't have to hide if you want to have lunch together, it allows you to not have to drive two different cars and leave his house before him to work. Small simple things that for you means a lot.
“Cut off the show, boss. Everybody is looking at us”.
It isn't the first time that Hank can't avoid touching you somehow in public, finding the stupidest excuse just to feel you. And he really enjoys putting you nervous, watching the way you lick your lips and bite the bottom one, feel the way your body gets tense when he lays his hands on you, the short frights he gives you coming behind you and whispering ‘officer (Y/L/N)’ in your ear.
Actually, there's no reason why you decided to hide your relationship. You haven't even talked about it. You haven't thought if it's because of the age gap, because of his past, because he is your boss (...). You haven't given it any importance, till you met Olivia Benson a couple months ago. That kind of sergeant who comes from New York and thinks that she runs the Chicago police department. Hank hasn't told you how they met, imagining they did when he was working on the Gang Unit.
“Admit your jealousy”. Tilting his head enough to look into your eyes, the challenging grimace comes back to his face.
Knowing that he's not going to stop, you simply nod. “It isn't fair that other women can… touch you, and I have to wait more than twelve hours just… simply to smile at you without looking suspicious”.
Hank can hear to perfection the hopelessness in your voice, feeling your fingers loosening his grip around your other forearm. It's not a question of possessiveness, but of insecurity; and he's discovering it now, thinking about since when you feel like that.
“Do you wan'me to take you home?”
You shake your head, now with guilt running under your skin because you know it has ruined his night.
“I'm okay, boss. Gonna have some fun with my friends after a long day”.
“Will you have some fun with your boss after that? End the night in my house playing pool, drinking whisky? I will let you win”.
You can't help but show him a fleeting smile, almost curving your lips. That's a yes for him and Hank feels satisfied. Holding your right hand on his, your boyfriend brings it to his mouth placing a tender kiss on the back of it, before letting you go.
Hailey and Burgess are squinting at you, knowing that their suspicions weren't wrong at all. Not saying a word and pretending normality, you sit back on your stool to have a sip from your beer. You're literally sweating right now, and it isn't because of the jacket you are wearing but because of the petty smiles appearing on the other cops.
“You know that we work in Intelligence, right, little trouble?” Antonio is the first one talking jokingly.
“Yeah, and we don't need to be detectives to know what's going on”. Hailey hums resting his arms over the table.
“How is Voight in private? I've always had curiosity. He takes off the stick of his ass when he comes home, or…?”
“Halstead, I can hear you”.
“Yeah, that was the intention, Sarge”. He replies, lifting up his beer in a silent toast.
Turning at Hank just for a second, you can't help but shrug with your eyebrows briefly frowned in a funny grimace that makes him giggle. It was inevitable, since they have seen the way and how close he has talked to you. But now, the pressure within your chest is dropping down, feeling better.

Would love to hear more about ‘the amanda bar effect’!!
Sending lots of love to you 💙💙💙
Hey Hey! I'm glad you asked about this one because this is on the brink of becoming a fic I never finish. The whole fic is based on a story about my Sister-in-Law one night out at a bar with some friends. She is a friendly adhd style drunk and would constantly leave the friend group to make friends and then bring them back to the table before running off to find someone else, but most of the time it was men who were interested in her and were not exactly interested in hanging out with her friends and getting ditched :X and she also forgot their names and would introduce them with food nicknames.
My brain went. "how can you make it jatp?" and I started this. It's also a Juke meet cute, but i don't have that part written yet. It's another one I thought i had written more of but in reality i had just made bullet points after awhile to get all the thoughts out and now anytime i go to it, i read what i have and then get tired at the idea of elaborating from the bullets so it's been in limbo for quite some time.
feel free to ask me about one of my other wips
Luke remembers now, why he doesn't like being the designated driver. But it was Reggie's idea to come to this club, and Alex was so nervous about inviting the guy he's been texting on the regular, so Luke couldn't ask him to be sober and responsible for their drunk asses on top of that. But this is ridiculous. Willie hasn't arrived yet, and Alex has drank just enough that he refuses to not wingman for Luke. Which he does by randomly walking away and bringing a person back to their table to meet him. It wouldn't be so bad if Reggie wasn't already three shots and two beers in. He also has a habit of getting up to bring random strangers back to the table. Honestly, it's like corralling toddlers. Only the toddlers are both grown ass adults with legs to match. Legs that can move them faster from point a to point b. Toddlers that insist on going in opposite directions. "Shit", Luke mutters as he steers Reggie back to their table. Alex is nowhere to be found. He sits Reggie back down in his seat, making eye contact. "Reggie, buddy, I'm going to go bring Alex back. I need to you stay here. Can you do that? Stay. Here." "Okiley-dokiley, artichokiley!" Reggie giggles, saluting at him. Luke sighs as he searches for Alex, spotting him near the bar talking to a petite blonde woman. This is going to be a long night. "I'll be right back!" He makes his way towards the bar through the throngs of people. The music transitioning to a new song with a higher energy. As he approaches the bar, Alex spots him and starts smacking the blondes' shoulder. "There he is! Cynthia! That's Luke! Doesn't he look cute despite his awful fashion choices?" The blonde, Cynthia, looks like she can't decide if she should be annoyed that Alex was smacking her shoulder or amused at the backhanded compliment towards Luke. "Hi. I'm so sorry about him", Luke apologizes, a blush just slightly tingeing his face and working its way down his neck. "Let's head back to Reggie, bud." Alex scoffs. "Why are you apologizing about me? I was bringing her to meet you! I'm doing this for you!" Cynthia seems to have settled on being amused at this point. "It was nice meeting you, Alex. It looks like you boys are in for an exciting evening!" she chuckles, grabbing her drink and heading off to a table with what looks to be five of her friends waiting on her. Luke lets out a deep breath. His boys will be the death of him tonight at this rate. He begins steering Alex back to their table, sStomach sinking when he realizes that Reggie did not, in fact, stay put.

Ocean Eyes - Part 7
When we finally arrived at Sue's house Chris walked with me to the front door... i nearly tripped at one point but luckily he managed to grab my arm and keep me upright! I had whispered a quiet 'thanks' before knocking lightly on her front door. Sue opened the door ushering us inside and leading the way to the living room where i saw Mason curled up on the sofa. He was asleep but he looked white and sweaty, there was a bowl on the floor beside his head incase he was sick again.
"He hasn't been asleep long, i think he wore himself out crying"
"Chris can you get Mason please? I can't carry him like this...."
"Yeah sure, i got him" he quickly moved forward and scooped Mason up into him arms.
"Mama...." Mason moaned looking around for me.
"Im right here baby, your dads gonna carry you out to the car".
"God you weren't kidding bout that fever" Chris added looking down at Mason in concern.
"Im gonna get him home, thanks for watching him Sue"
"Sure thing hon, hope he feels better soon. Here, take the bowl incase he gets sick on the drive home" she smiled passing me the plastic bowl that had been next to Mason.
The drive home i had Mason cradled against me as he slept, the seat belt going around the both of us being as we had no car seat in Chris's car!!
God i felt like a crappy mom tonight!
When we got home i sat with Mason on the sofa and stripped him down to his underwear to try and cool him down.
"Chris could you get me a cold washcloth please, there should be some in the pile of laundry on the table"
"Sure" he rushed off to grab the cloth, Mason was just laying against my chest, whimpering slightly.
"Here you go" Chris passed me the cloth and sat beside us "i got him some water too, he should be drinking plenty of fluids"
"Thanks" i smiled before folding the cloth and laying it over Mason's forehead. He moaned at the coldness but soon settled again clinging onto me, it didn't take long until he was asleep. I sighed in relief and carefully moved forward in my seat so i could lay him down.... i was desperate for the bathroom!! Mason stirred and held on tighter, for such a little thing he had a grip on him.
"Can you try taking him i really need to pee!" I looked at Chris with desperate eyes. He chuckled and managed to pry Mason off of me and into his arms.
While i was in the bathroom i wiped off my make up and tied my hair up before getting changed into my pyjama's.... it was gonna be a long night. Once i was done i headed to the kitchen and made coffee, hopefully it would help sober me up a bit more.
"Ah fuck!" I cursed as i sloshed the coffee onto the floor while making my way back to the living room "i made coffee, you might still have some left if you're lucky"
"Thanks" Chris looked up and smiled, i didn't miss the way he looked me up and down either.
"Does he still feel hot? If his temperature doesn't start to go down soon we'll have to try a lukewarm bath maybe give him some Tylenol...."
"Yeah his still hot, but it doesn't seem to be getting worse"
"This is so unlike him, Mason never gets sick. I can literally count on one hand the amount of times his been sick" i shook my head "i'm so close to freaking out right now you have no idea...."
"Calm down sweetheart, he'll be fine"
"Thank you for staying with us, i probably would've been calling my mom in hysterics if you hadn't been here"
"There's no where else id rather be" he said looking down at Mason lovingly.
"Right.... i should probably text Scott let him know we're home" i got up to grab my phone from my purse and started a text to Scott. We had dropped him at his place on the way to collect Mason.
There was a message from Derek on my phone too which i quickly skimmed, he was saying how much he enjoyed meeting me and wanted to know if i wanted to get dinner with him sometime!! I decided i'd reply to him in the morning and put my phone on the table, Mason was the only thing i could deal with right now.
I applied a fresh cloth to Masons forehead and checked his temperature, slowly but surely it was going down. I sat beside him and Chris on the sofa and sighed in relief.
"Looks like his fever is easing off finally" i said yawning and letting my head fall back against the sofa, we'd been up for hours now keeping watch on Mason.
"Yeah, thank god" Chris mumbled as he carefully tried to move Mason in his arms.
"You want me to take him?"
"No no, i'm good, my arm has fallen asleep is all" he smiled.
"You sure? i don't mind...."
"We're all good".
We sat in silence with the TV on low for some background noise and i couldn't help but look at Chris and how natural he was at being a dad.
"You should get some sleep, you look exhausted" Chris suddenly said interrupting my internal thoughts!
"You trying to tell me i look like shit Chris?" I asked raising my eyebrows at him.
"What?? No!! I didn't mean that..."
"Im fucking with you relax" i chuckled shaking my head.
"You looked beautiful tonight" i heard him say quietly, maybe i wasn't supposed to hear him but i did.
"Its amazing what you can do with some make up and clothes that aren't sweats and t-shirts"
"You look beautiful without make up even wearing your sweats and a t-shirt, i just meant that you looked good. I personally prefer this version of you"
"Haha, now i know your just trying to make me feel better....i'm a mess!"
"Prettiest girl i know" he said giving me that smirk of his.... my god damn weakness!!
"Are you just saying this because you think i'm drunk and wont remember?? Because i'll have you know i have mostly sobered up by this point"
"Im well aware, i just..... never mind. You should try and get some sleep".
I nodded agreeing with him, the conversation was about to turn awkward and i wasn't ready for that!
"Wake me up if Mason needs me...?"
"Of course".
When i woke up again i had somehow ended up cuddled up against Chris! He had his arm around me, my head resting on his chest, Mason still sleeping on his other side. To anyone who saw us and didn't know better we looked like the perfect little family. I felt myself start to panic..... i shouldn't have let myself get this close to him! It was too easy to fall back into that comfortable routine we always had..... but we didn't have that anymore, at least i didn't think we did. I carefully eased away from him making sure he was still sleeping and made a quick exit to the kitchen, he didn't need to know about this!
As i started making some coffee and toast i heard the soft voice of my baby boy. As i stuck my head round the door i saw he was sitting up talking with Chris, he looked so much better this morning thank god.
"Where's mom?" I heard him ask and i stepped into the living room giving him a smile.
"Im right here bud, how you feeling?" I asked as i sat in front of them on the coffee table, i reached over to hold the back of my hand against his forehead "looks like your fever is almost gone"
"Im hungry"
"I bet! But its dry toast for you buddy. You've gotta go easy for a little while.... are you still feeling sick?"
"No, not anymore"
"Okay thats good!".
"Dad are you staying for breakfast?" Mason asked.
"Um...."
"Pleaseeee" Mason begged looking at him with those eyes that were exactly like his dads, Chris looked at me waiting for my say so.
"Its fine with me, if you have time..."
"I do! Yeah of course!" He said quickly nodding his head with a huge smile.
After we had all eaten Chris took Mason for his bath after Mason insisted he go with his dad. While they were gone i sent a text to Scott with an update and saw a missed call from Hannah, i sat at the kitchen table and quickly called her back.
"Hey! Hows Mace?? My mom said you had to come get him last night"
"Yeah it was eventful, he had a fever and was being sick" i sighed "Chris stayed to help out with Mason... i had had so much to drink Han"
"You let him stay..."
"To help with Mason yeah"
"Hmmm of you say so" she laughed
"Shut up, what happened to you last night, huh?? You disappeared with Troy"
"I know, im sorry but did you see him?? I knew you were okay with Scott. So what about you and Derek?? He seemed very interested"
"He was nice" i nodded "he texted me last night but i haven't had a chance to reply yet"
"But your gonna right??"
"Yeah...."
"Y/N text him back!! That man was gorgeous!!"
"I will"
"Don't make me come round there"
"Oh god Han, your so pushy" i laughed.
"Only because i love you"
"I love you too, i gotta go though i'll speak to you later".
When i walked into the living room Mason was sat on the sofa watching cartoons and Chris was gathering his things.
"Your leaving already?"
"Yeah i've got a meeting at 11:00am..."
"Okay, well thanks for last night"
"Sure, anytime" he smiled "hey, i was wondering if next weekend i could take Mason to meet my mom? She's been asking when she can meet him...."
"Um.... yeah sure"
"You can come too if you want? I know my mom would be happy to see you" he said with a smile.
"Okay" i nodded "it'll just be us though right? I don't want Mason getting overwhelmed with too many new people"
"Yeah of course, maybe Scott too if he finds out you know what his like"
"Thats fine" i nodded with a smile knowing exactly what Scott was like.
"Thank you, i should go.... can i come by later though? Id like to check in on Mason"
"Sure, i'm sure he'd like that"
"I'll see you later then" he smiled before heading over to Mason "bye buddy i gotta go to work for a bit but i'll come see you later"
"Okay, bye dad".

The Kiss Thief - Park Seonghwa Social Media AU
20. Chapter Sixteen: Happy Realisation✨ (Meant as a sarcastic remark to the Reader, wishing her Happy Realisation like Happy Birthday)
Previous Part✨ Next Part✨
Masterlist of the AU✨
Word Count: 2.2K (😳)
🌸
The Special Weekly Segment, Weekly Flower Delivery had thoroughly infiltrated your mind with admiration of love and swooning until you remembered that you decided to justify your feelings about Seonghwa, with Seonghwa by talking to Seonghwa.
Oh, Park Seonghwa.
What are you going to say? For starters, you had few options you considered:
1) 'Hey! Crazy story. Remember when I liked you in high school but I think it was childish, so I'd like to know what are your present thoughts about it?'
Fairly normal but quite formal.
2) 'Hello there kind sir. Would you like discussing our past embarassing affairs, mostly the mortifying felony committed by me over a glass of liquor?'
It feels like you're asking for great lord's hand in marriage, one who owns expansive estates in the 1740s.
3) 'Hey, Seonghwa, so you know how we've been spending some time together and I have been thinking about us, together, as in a dating, you know what I mean?'
'You know what I mean?' What are you about to do? Transcend into a rap battle?
At the end, you considered it's best to say what feels appropriate at the given situation.
Hopefully, it's appropriate.
The Dazzling Night group is buzzing excitement of accomplishment after the special segment.
The atmosphere shifting from a rather intimate confession to a declaration of never fading love has successfully set a mood for the team to celebrate the well executed show with chicken and beer by the riverside at midnight.
Yeosang and Mingi leave before the rest and decide to get the food on the way to arrange a seating area for comfortable dinner.
The remaining ride in Seonghwa's car after he frantically arrived at the studio looking fresh and clean.
After a short ten minute ride, you breathe in the gusts of winds, carrying a gentle scent of the river.
The location is a little crowded for the night but might disperse as the clock ticks by.
It isn't difficult to spot the waving figures of Yeosang and Mingi in a quiet corner, keeping a safe distance from other groups for private, mostly chaotic conversations of the group.
Jongho collapses on the mattress within a second of spotting it.
"This is the life of a successful segment planner." He states with a deep inhale.
"Okay bragger, save this for later. I'm hungry." Mingi pushes the boy out of the mattress, rolling him onto the grass but Jongho has no plans of sitting straight.
Yeosang twists open a bottle with fizzle. "We need to make a toast."
The rest of you begin arranging your dinner in front of the widespread, breathtaking view of the river and the brightly lit bridge.
Seonghwa and you begin unpacking the boxes of variety of chicken while Hongjoong pours out drinks for everyone.
"A toast? Why? Are we already done with Dazzling Night for this semester?" Hongjoong comments without looking up.
Yeosang gives him a look. "C'mon, read the mood." He falls back beside Mingi. "Seonghwa loves giving speeches anyway. We love a sentimental mood setter."
You nudge the mentioned boy. "Oh? Then I'm looking forward to it too!"
He plops down and rolls his eyes. "For once can you guys stop ganging up on me?"
Your best friend props up his body lazily, supporting his weight on his arms. "Make a toast, make a toast, make a toast."
You snicker and shake your head at the lack of enthusiasm. "Wow, you surely want him to make a toast."
Hongjoong offers you a small cup of beer. "Okay then, would you like to make a toast instead?"
Taken aback, you study the amount of twinkling eyes settled on you. "Oh, hell no." You thrust the cup at the suggested person.
Seonghwa looks at you with dramatic betrayal written all over his features. "My knight in--" His eyes study your frame, "My knight in jeans and flannel, I thought you'd surely save me."
The entire group bursts out in laughter.
Placing a hand on your hip, you gulp down the contents of the small cup. "Why did the ganging up shift from him" You jab a thumb at innocent looking Seonghwa, "To me?"
Jongho simply shrugs. There's an evident satisfaction displayed in his slackened movements.
You feel comfortable as well.
You're used to, no, you are loving the playful bantering but god forbid, you'll never admit this out loud, especially in front of the teasing devil himself.
"Alright, alright" Seonghwa refills your empty cup and lifts up his big one. "Here's a toast to not even a week into Dazzling Night yet to the most talented group of people making everyone's night, especially each other's by working together and supporting each other. How's that for a sentimental toast?"
All of you raise your plastic cups in unison with a gentle 'cheers' and down the booze in one shot.
Mingi wipes his non existent tears. "Fantastic. I'd like to thank my mother, my father and mostly importantly the baby account I followed on instagram two weeks ago which gives me joy---"
He is unable to finish his speech of 'gratitude' as Yeosang shoves him away with a quick push, making the tall boy almost land sideways on top of sauce pouches.
🌸
Throughout dinner, you simply cannot stop smiling or almost rolling over the grass.
It is truly a wild dinner.
One moment Hongjoong slaps away Yeosang's hand from stealing his well deserved chicken wing and another Jongho suddenly belts out a song to honour the evening, earning loud claps from the people seated nearby.
The conversations begin with Seonghwa and Hongjoong reminiscing their first meeting together, makes it's way through the emotional valley but eventually returns to the clowning station.
Time passes by quickly as you munch over different kinds of delicious chickens melting on your tongue with new flavours everytime you grab one from a different box.
Yeosang takes all the credit for the ten out of ten dinner and all the guys agree with the chicken maniac, as addressed by his friends.
As the night gets darker, people start disappearing slowly and you begin to notice the questionable amount of empty beer bottles lying around.
"I think I'm drunk." Hongjoong presses his temple with a wince.
Yeosang grabs the elder's arm and leans into his shoulder with a pout. "Yeosang wants to eat more chicken."
Jongho breaks into a fit of coughs while Mingi throws back his head, booming with laughter.
"Did he just refer to himself in third person?" Eyes wide, you turn to Seonghwa for an answer.
"Yeosang transforms into a cute little kid when he's drunk, he has a low alcohol tolerance." His cheeks are slightly tinted with the pink colour. You don't know if you should be trusting his tolerance either.
"Oh my god, I should totally make a video." Mingi pulls out his phone but Jongho is quick enough to snatch it.
"You don't want to see tomorrow's sunrise?"
Out of everyone, maybe even you, Jongho appears the most sober, as if he hasn't drank at all.
Hongjoong's hand gently pats the drunk one's back. "C'mon, it's getting late, let's go to the restroom and sober up so we can leave."
Jongho leaves his place with a sigh. "I'm going with those three, I think they need some supervision."
Seonghwa places down his refilled cup. "Good idea. I'll stay back with (y/n) and clean up."
You nod. It is indeed getting late.
The three drunk ones trudge towards the washrooms with a normal walking Jongho following behind.
"Let's clean this up, shall we?" You eye the mess scattered around.
As you try to lift your body with much difficulty, a hand wraps around your wrist and pulls you down causing you to yelp.
"But you wanted to talk." You breath hitches for a moment as he turns sideways to place his forehead on your shoulder.
Oh, how you had hoped for him to magically forget about it.
You lift up his head with the support of one finger. "Are you sure you aren't drunk?"
His hands pat his cheeks a few times. "Definitely not drunk." He inches a little closer. "So, tell me."
A chuckle leaves your lips at his attempts to appear sober. "Oh, well, I don't know how to bring this up and I'd rather talk if you will remember this tomorrow as much as I want you to forget."
His shoulders slump. "Oh, (Y/N), is this about our cute little history that you find embarassing."
"What? How did you know that? Wait, who told you---" You blabber out surprised and to deepen the surprise he places a finger on your lips.
"Hey, hey, calm down." His eyes land on the finger and he quickly retrieves it. He clears his throat. "I mean, it is a little obvious. I think it is obvious to everyone but you."
Your cheeks heat up a little at his statement. "Obvious? Okay, since it is that obvious. Yes, yes I am a little embarassed, maybe more than a little embarassed."
Seonghwa tilts his head to the side, an intense look in his eyes. "That's not what I meant (Y/N) but tell me what are you embarassed about?"
Gathering your legs closer to your chest, you place your chin in between the knees. "Well, you know" You let your words trail but draw in a deep breath. "I was fifteen and what happened was silly and ever since we started hanging out together, I feel really comfortable with you and you're really nice. Oh my god, I'm getting nowhere with this." Your feet begin moving in a continous motion.
Seonghwa fixes his posture and sits up straight. "(Y/N)?"
"Yeah?" You look up.
"I liked fifteen year old you. A girl who liked me, often encouraged me even though she didn't understand 11th grade struggles but it's not something that I look back at and make fun of but it's a fond memory that there was a cute girl who liked me back when I was young and too tense for a 17 year old boy." His precise answer tugs a string of your heart.
"Yeah, you were too tense for a 17 year old boy. Remember how you often lectured me like you understand all concepts of the world at such an young age." You comment with an playful smile.
A picture of a young Seonghwa passionately explaining time management like a professor pops up in your mind with a young you listening as if he's reciting a romantic poem. Oh, how smitten you were.
Funnily enough, you still are.
Seonghwa pushes his fingers through his hair with a shy smile, eyes focused on the night sky. "Oh my god. I can't believe you remember that."
You bump your shoulder with his. "How can I forget, you were adorable."
A stange energy is brewing within you. This comfort is unmatched.
He turns to you, fingers suddenly grab your cheeks. "Don't get cheeky with me now." He says in an extremely soft voice.
"Hey, this is not fair. What are you doing?" You get a hold on both of his hand to remove them but fail.
He pulls them a little before letting them go, you rub the sore spots. "You're as much as a troublemaker as you were back then, you just hide it now. Don't you?"
Maybe it's the courage supplied by the little alcohol in your system or maybe it's just him, you grab his face with your hands.
His eyes widen at your actions. "What are you doing?"
You gently bump your forehead onto his. "I'm trying to be bold and knocking some sense into you."
The shocked expression subdues into a serious one. One you hadn't expected to see. "I wouldn't suggest that. What if I really end up forgetting what you're about to do next?"
As soon as he speaks those words, you let go of his face and create a safe distance between you two. "What do you mean? I wasn't going to do anything but bump my forehead with yours! What are you thinking!"
He begins stuffing the empty chicken boxes into each other pretending as if you weren't just inches apart a second ago.
"What if I end up bumping my forehead even harder than you did?" He asks with the most false concern present on his face.
You grab the nearest bottle cap and aim it right at his forehead but he's too quick to catch it. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry."
"YOU stop being cheeky, can't you tell I was trying to flirt with you!" You let both of your hands rest on your hips.
His mouth forms an "O". "I mean, I should definitely do that, I have the right to. It's not like you know that I've been flirting with you all this time."
You freeze for a moment, eyes blinking twice. "You've been flirting with me?"
He throws up his hands in an exasperated gesture.
"Wait, you've been flirting with me? You weren't just having fun making me suffer by being extremely kind and nice yet teasing and--" The long list of conversations run in your mind and then it pings. "Oh."
Seonghwa begins clapping. "Thank you so much for finally noticing."
Your fall down on the support of your knees.
"Oh my god, Park Seonghwa has been flirting with me all this time"
You realise you've said it out loud and wish to sink further into your hands.
"Yes, I have been." His fingers gently ruffle your hair. "Now, clean this up before Jongho comes back and grumbles about it."
You slowly lift up your head and look at him casually collecting the mess, unphased.
"You're not going to let this one die. Are you?" Hesitant, you await an answer.
He chuckles. "Of course not."
"Fantastic." You stand up, unable to shake off the realisation.

End Special Edition Part 2. . .
Adelina's P.o.v
A soft smile passed me as Asia and I walked into the ballroom. Excitement coursed through me with the thought of seeing Severus. I looked over as I noticed Neville staring at Asia. A teasing smile crossed me as I nudged her.
"Hey, I think Neville likes what he sees," I told her teasingly.
Asia looked towards Neville and blushed. I watched as Neville walked over to us and held his hand out towards Asia.
"Can I have this dance?" He asked with a shy smile.
Before she could answer, I slightly pushed her towards him. She glared at me before taking Neville's hand and walking out on the dance floor. Happiness filled me as I watched them smile at each other and laugh. I watched as my beautiful sister danced with Neville. I hope they become a couple soon. They would be so cute together. Asia thinks that Neville doesn't like her like that. But one he asked her to dance and two you can mistake the look he has on his face right now. He cant stop smiling thats a red flag. As I watched I thought of Severus. How I wished that could be me and him dancing together. Just being able to look into his face as we danced. Possibly share a soft kiss. Maybe share a laugh. And maybe even a smile. How I wished I could wrap my arms around him and hold him close as we danced. The smile Neville has on his face towards Asia at the moment is the same one I want Snape to give me. I'm not too sure I see that happening anytime soon. With how clueless he is. I sighed as I walked over to the food table to grab a drink. While drinking some fire whiskey I looked around to see if Severus had arrived yet. Unfortunately he hasn't. I was curious as to where he was, so I took out my phone to text him.
...
After my argument with Severus I got a message from Lucious asking to dance and I told him yes, because I was more frustrated than I already was. My mind was filled with only Severus while I danced with Lucious. One of his hands slipped down my back and made me feel uncomfortable. I felt sick.
"I'm going to get a drink," I said while trying not look at him.
"Let me get the drinks," He shot back.
He gave me a devilish smile that made my skin turn cold. I watched as he disappeared for a few minutes to return with two cups.
"Here you go sweetheart," His voice was low and disgusting.
I took the cup he gave me and downed it. I tasted something weird in the drink but before I could ask, Lucious grabbed my hand and guided me out of the ballroom. Everything around me started to spin as Lucious dragged me further and further away from everyone. I don't remember when we entered a secret room or when we even stopped walking. All my senses were messed up and suddenly I felt fear fill me more and more as I lost more control of my body. I heard Lucious laugh and then press his body into mine. Tears slipped down my cheeks as I desperately wished for Severus to save me before it was to late.
Severus's P.o.v
I feel so stupid. Adelina has liked me this whole time. I always thought my feelings were one way. After our argument she stopped replying. I rushed through the dim halls. I know Lucious is there. Anger boiled inside me as I thought of him touching her. I decided to text Asia for help.
...
Panic filled me as I was running around the halls looking for Adelina. Please let her be safe. I was angry that I texted Lucious.
...
I'm going to kill him. I have a feeling as to where he took her. I ran faster. I had to get to her before he did something horrible. I reached the door to a secret room. I opened the door and saw Lucious over Adelina. The scene in front of me pissed me off. He was trying to take her dress off and she was drunk. I pointed my wand at him with rage.
"GET AWAY FROM HER!" My voice boomed in the small room.
He slowly stood up and moved away from her. She moved a little.
"Glad you could join us Severus," He smiled at me.
"I'm going to kill you slowly!" My voice low and venomous.
Fear crossed his face.
"Sevy noooo," Adelina's weak voice echoed.
I looked to her and saw her eyes filled with tears. She reached her arms out to me. My heart ached. I walked over to her.
"Maybe next time Adelina," Lucious's voice mocked.
I turned on my heels and punched him in the face which caused him to fall backwards.
"YOU BROKE MY NOSE!" He yelled in pain.
"Be lucky that's all I broke, - Come near Adelina again and I will torture you." I threaten.
I turned around again and picked Adelina up bridal style. I walked out of the room and towards my chambers.
"I love you sevy," She whispered to me.
I felt my heart flutter as she nuzzled her face into my neck.
"Sevyyyy, where are we goingg?!" She whined.
Shes so drunk. She must rest once we get to my chambers.
...
Once I got her to my chambers, I laid Adelina down on my bed. She curled up instantly. I sat next to my bed reading a book. Adelina would whimper and toss around from time to time. It was getting very late.
"Severus?"
I looked over at Adelina. She was looking at me confused. She tried to get up but she was still drunk. Her body just fell back on the bed. She looked at me again with tears.
"I'm scared." Her lip started to tremble.
I stood up and walked over to the bed. I sat on the edge and ran my hand through her hair. It always calmed her down when we were little.
"Everything is okay little dragon, - I'm here." I kept my voice low and gentle.
Adelina turned her face towards me. Placed her hands on either side of my face and pulled me down. Our lips crashed together. I felt her hands travel up to my hair then down my chest. I pulled away. I saw her eyes beg me to come back down but she was drunk.
"You need to rest, your drunk and I dont want you to do something you will regret." I gave her a small smile.
"But I wont regret this!" She got angry.
I sighed as I tried to stand up, but she grabbed my hand.
"I will get you some water," I said.
I tried to pull my hand away from her, but she only held on harder.
"I only want you right now Severus." Her voice was seductive.
My body was acting weird. I sat back down. Adelina slowly curled onto my lap. She began to kiss me passionately. My body melted into hers. I felt her hands moving over my body. She started to unbutton my clothing. She pushed me backwards and started to kiss my neck. My heart was racing. My body was on fire. I was losing control of my body. I flipped our position's. I was now on top of her. I watched as her chest rose and fell. I started to kiss her neck as she continued to take my clothes off. I started to take off hers. There was going to be no rest for us both tonight.
...
I woke up to Adelina clinging to me as she slept. My heart began to race as last night flooded my mind. I kissed her forehead. I love her with all my heart. I slowly drifted back to sleep.

Come back (Part 2)
It has been highly requested and here it is! Buckle up, because this image is very very long.

Crap Crap Crap, did I already say crap?
I couldn't imagine a more embarrassing situation.
Maybe he's just arrived and he hasn't heard anything. Yeah, that's possible.
Clinging desperately onto this possibility, I act like nothing compromising has happened and I smile and wave at him like I normally would.
He doesn't react, his face still emotionless while he starts walking towards our table. So I turn back so that I was facing Elijah.
He was the only reason why I wasn't freaking out. With him present, the conversation couldn't turn too personal, right?
But as always, nothing goes like I want and when I turn around, I see that Elijah is about to stand up.
"What are you doing?" I ask worried
"You two need to talk, I'm going to leave you alone." he says and stands up when Klaus is standing beside me
I stand up too, in hope to convince him to stay with a panicked expression but he doesn't budge. Stubborn stubborn man, ugh.
Instead he gives me a big smile and a tight hug to reassure me.
"It's going to be okay, just be honest with him. Don't be afraid." he whispers in my ear before pulling away.
He gives a nod of recognition to Klaus and leaves us alone.
I quickly sit back down, to avoid his eyes. I had already drunk my coffe but I thought that staying in a public place is better for this kind of situation.
He also sits down and doesn't utter a word. I can feel his eyes on me though so, before he could ask anything I break the silence trying to do a little small inoffensive talk.
"It's a beautiful morning, isn't it?"I ask. Lame I know but whatever.
"Indeed it is." he replies
Great intervention, 100 for the effort.
"It's the perfect weather to do an outdoor activity. Do you have anything planned for today?" I dare to ask.
I mean it's still a safe question but only now I realize that his answer could involve his girlfriend.
"It's not exactly an outdoor activity but I was thinking about some truth spilling. What do you think?" he says hinting at my previous conversation with Elijah not so delicately.
"Well, I mean if you have something on your chest then yes, go for it." I cluelessly reply
"I like to believe that I'm always very forward in my relationships. However, there is someone among us that needs to let something off their chest, but it's not me."
Shit, shit shit.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I mutter in a weak and lame attempt to keep up pretenses.
He angrily hits the table startling me and getting the everyone's attention. I should have seen this coming, he has a bit of a temper. Just a little bit.
"Enough with these lies. Since when have you been lying to my face? After everything that we've been through, don't you think I deserve to know the truth?" he asks apparently fed up with my lies
I had hoped to never have this conversation with him because I knew that if had had it, I wouldn't have known what to say.
I know he's hurt by my lies, and that was never my intention. Our relationship has always been based on mutual trust and honesty. So I guess his reaction is not so dramatic after all.
Now I'm faced with a choice, do I tell him the truth consequently putting me on the front line, or do I just dismiss this conversation by leaving?
Would he let me leave though? And more importantly, do I have the strength to get up and leave him here knowing that this is my last chance with him?
The internal battle was pretty clear but as cliché as it sounds, as soon as I looked into his beautiful enticing blue eyes, I knew that I couldn't leave him here or lie to him anymore.
I've already hurt him enough, he deserves an explanation.
I take a deep breath and leaning away from him towards the back of the chair I nod, letting him know that I was going to tell him what he wanted.
After that, a couple of minutes pass in silence, in my vain attempt to find the right words. But I mean, what better words than those who come form the heart?
"Before I say anything, I want you to know that if I didn't tell you anything it's because I thought it was the best thing for you. I haven't exactly been lying to you, but I do have been omitting some things. I don't know how much you've heard before, but I'm going to start from the beginning." I start explaining looking at him
"I think you probably know this, but I don't trust people easily. I'm sure you understand, although it's not for the same reason. When I'm getting to know someone, and we get along well I almost immediately get attached to them. After a while, I saw that this was not good for me seeing as almost everyone I've ever met has screwed me over. So, I guess you could call it a defense mechanism, but now I only let some people in and after a while." I open up to him. My voice was very low but I didn't worry about not being heard for his supernatural hearing and all that.
"I think it's safe to say that you and your family were let in. Pretty much after a day I've met you. And before you ask, no I don't regret it, I do trust you and you all know that. By now, I'm sure you're wondering, so where's the problem?" I rhetorically ask him
His eyes never left mine during this time so I know he was following me. Now shit gets real and I don't have it in me to look at him while I confess this. So I decide to play with the cup of coffee in my hands.
"The thing is, that now we enter in a new field kinda. I'm not ashamed to admit that I've never been in a serious relationship. The only guy I've ever trusted enough to let him completely in (no pun intended) has royally screwed me over and thrown my trust for guys into the bin. Since then, I've never been romantically involved with anyone. And I was fine with it, really. But then you came into my life and everything changed, cliché I know." I pause for a moment because I hear him chuckle and oh boy how I missed that sound.
"Well, almost everything. You see, I'm still scared that things will end on the worst terms and I don't want that. Not with you." At this, I can't help myself but glance at him. His look on me was so intense that I wondered how come I haven't melted yet.
"Yes, I do have feelings for you. Yes, I guess it would make me very happy to be with you. But that's not the point. I realized it too late, I let my fear win and now I've lost you. I didn't want to tell you because it's not fair to you, you've found a beautiful girl that makes you happy. I was too late, end of the story." I finish still not looking at him.
When I do though, his gaze was almost scheming, like he was figuring something out. I look at him in silence, giving him the chance to take all of this in.
After a while, when I was ready to admit defeat and retreat into my house of losers, he smiles leaving me breathless and speechless.
He's always read me like an open book, even better than Elijah, so my bewilderment was pretty evident for him. That's why he let out a little laugh.
He leans towards me and takes my hands off the cup and into his before speaking.
"You know I'd never hurt you, right?" he asks
"That's beside the point, Klaus. I'm not worried that you'd hurt me, not voluntarily at least" I admit
"Then what are you afraid of?"
"What if you get bored of me? What if you get fed up with me and fall in love with someone else? I mean, you do have eternity after all, so why would you settle with boring plain me?" I explain
"Why wouldn't I?" he smartly asks
"The question is, why would you? I'm sure you can find someone better than me. Maybe you've already found her." I hit at his current girlfriend.
"You know, I think that your fear is not the problem here, rather it's your non-existent self-confidence." Ehm, what?
"You once told me that in order to make another love you, you should love yourself first. But you see, that's not quite right. Yes, you should love yourself but if you don't yet that doesn't mean that no one will too." he says not really waiting for a reply
"I love you, I've loved you since the first time I saw you. It took me a little to figure that out, you know me and my paranoia."
"It's okay to be scared, I am too. I've never done this with anyone either. Didn't you think that I could be afraid of losing you too?" he asks now waiting for me to answer
"No, I didn't." I admit
"I really wish you would have told me all of this earlier, it would have saved us some time." he finally says.
"I know, I'm too late." I say trying to pull my hands away from his. But his grip is strong and prevents me from doing so.
"No, you're not. There's no such thing as 'being too late'. Haven't you heard me before when I told you I love you?" he asks
"So what exactly are you saying?"I timidly ask.
"I'm saying that if you come back to me, I'll come back to you." He says with a smile making my heart flutter
I can't believe this, how I was blessed with this amazing guy still goes over my head.
"And what about your girlfriend? I don't want to be 'the other girl'" I state making him laugh
"There's no girlfriend. She's just a really good friend. You're the only one for me since the moment you walked into my life." he sweetly admits
"Oh please, enough with the cheesiness. You're lucky I love you" I lightheartedly admit. It felt so good to finally admit my feelings out loud, it was so freeing. It was amazing. He was amazing.
He doesn't reply right away, probably enjoying the fact that I had finally said that I loved him too.
"I love you too, Y/N." he says and leans towards me. I also lean towards him to meet him halfway and our lips finally meet in a beautiful kiss full of love and longing.

I Was Born To Love You- Ben Hardy fanfic- Part Three
Hello, loves! Loving the feed back in getting on this series! It’s for sure a long one, but I hope you guys are enjoying it!
Summary: Leah and the crew flew to London to film the Live Aid performance. She opens up to Brian about her life.
Warnings: sadness, death, angst
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Soon enough, Monday rolled around. It was 4 am. I grabbed my packed bags, pretty much filled with half my wardrobe and all of the make up and face/hair products I could take on the plane. I grabbed my passport, keys, purse, and phone and left for the guys' house. They were all staying in one big frat house that they had rented. After picking them up, I also picked up Bryan, Brian, and Roger.
'Austin has barely spoken to me since Tuesdasy.'
I drove to the airport. Everyone was asleep, after all, the flight left at 5 am. It was a long flight to say the least. I sat in between Ben and Gwilym. I connected with the two better anyways. Gwilym slept the whole time, and Ben complained that his back hurt and he was so tired that he couldn't sleep. I felt more like a babysitter at that moment. I comforted him and played with his hair until he fell asleep. I also fell asleep. I felt myself starting to dream.
There he was. My beautiful girl. I carried her with me for 9 months, she was 12 days early. She was so eager to get here. She loves playimg dress up. She was so outgoing. She had my eyes. I loved her so much more than I could imagine. I felt the love of my life behind me, holding me, kissing my neck. "We made that," I said, cradling his arms in mine. "We sure did." That wasn't Austin's voice. Who was this? I turned around to the familiar blonde who was currently next to me. I gasped.
I gasped so hard, I woke up. I woke up to my phone going crazy. Joe had tagged me in a picture on Instagram. It was a picture of the three of us; Gwil with his mouth wide open, dead asleep and mine and Bens heads against each other's sleeping as well. I smiled at the cuteness of the two, until I saw the comments.
'Who the hell is she?'
'Does he know she's married?'
'Her poor husband :('
They all assumed we were an item. I don't understand. "Um, Joe?" I said quietly. "What's up?" He said. "I really adore this picture, but would you mind taking it down? It's he comments," I said. He looked at it, and he looked shocked. "I'm so sorry, yes of course." He said. And with that, the picture was gone. Out of sight out of mind.
Hours later, we arrived in London. I had booked the hotel in advance, making sure the top floor of the nicest hotel in the area was reserved for them. The cast stayed in the rooms upstairs, the crew in the floor below. I figured it'd help with keeping the pap and crazy fans out. I made sure security was at its finest so the cast could from one place to another, safely. Once we arrived at the hotel, I showed everyone to their rooms. The guys requested to share a room, so I made sure they got the biggest room. It had two king sized beds. The guys, Bryan, Brian, Roger, and I had a quick meeting. I explained to all of them the plan, where everything was, and how transportation needed to go.
Rami raised his hand. "You don't have to raise your hand, Ram." I said. "Where are you sleeping?" He asked, the other guys responding with "yeah?" I laughed a bit. "I'm a few doors down. I've got the second biggest room." I said point to the direction of your room and flipping your hair. "Mmmm, no you need to sleep here with us." Gwilym said. "Who else will protect us?" Joe chimed in. "I'm your assistant, not your body guard." I said giggling a bit. I really was their babysitter. "Please, Leah? Pretty pretty please?" Ben whined. "I'll stay in here for as long as you want but I'm sleeping in my room, end of discussion. I'm married, remember?" I said, showing my beautiful ring. Ben looked at me, raising his eye brows. Only he knew what had happened. "I'm starving," Roger said. "Where can we eat?" "You guys can stay in my room and eat. My bags are unpacked and my room is ready, someone else is coming up here with your bags. I would unpack them for you but those are your personal belongings and I wouldn't feel comfortable with touching them. I've ordered some room service, I already know what you all like, so you guys can head over to my room," I said handing Bryan my key. "And chill out there for a bit. Just don't go through my stuff." I said. Everyone got up, Ben was the last out. Before he left, it was just us two in the room.
"How are things?" He said looking at my arm, the bruises had gone away. I nodded my head. "Okay. Could be better. Hasn't really talked to me. He's only come home before 3 am once last week." He could tell I had been holding these feelings in. "It sounds like to me you need to talk to someone about it. Get a second opinion." He said crossing his arms. I shrugged my shoulders. "Not much to talk about, really. He started to get really possessive and jealous when I took the job as assistant to Bryan. He's convinced that you all won't respect me. He didn't even care that I was leaving for a month or more. He only makes love to me when he's drunk, and it's not even passionate anymore. Just drunk, messy, and to be blunt, short. It's like he doesn't love me anymore but I know that's not true, I don't think." I said. I realized I had been rambling on for a while, I rambled myself near to tears.
I looked up at him and he seemed genuinely hurt by that fact that I'm hurting. I opened my mouth to say something, but was interrupted by a knock at the door and it opened slowly. "Bags, ma'am." A man said. "It's okay, come on in, leave them out infront if the beds, the boys can choose where they sleep." I said to him. He obeyed, and left to deliver more bags. "Sorry. I just can't really deal with this right now. It's best that we have this break, maybe this is just what we needed right now, a break. I don't want to focus on it, I want to focus on the movie." I said. I nodded at your comment. "Yeah." I said walking out of the room, into my room.
"Leah, you're a genius. How'd you know what we all liked?" Brian said. I laughed a bit. "It's my job to know." I said. I hadn't finished unpacking my bathroom bag, so I grabbed that and start to unpack it. "Hey, where's Ben?" Rami asked. "Probably still in your all's room. Your bags are in there, he might just be unpacking his. You all need to pick your beds." I said from the bathroom. Joe jumped up, running out the door. "I call next to Ben!" He yelled running to his room. The others followed. As I was unpacking, I saw some feminine hygiene things, which reminded me. I hadn't started yet. What day was it? I forgot when I started, but my period was never regular. I just knew I hadn't had one yet this month, and the month was almost over. 'Oh god please no...' I thought to myself. I couldn't have a baby, not right now at least. Not until he was better. Because he was sick. That's why he hurts me. He's just sick. While I was staring at it, Brian came to the door, knocking quietly. He smiled nicely at me. "Everything alright?" He asked, leaning against the door. "Oh, uh, yeah." I said, throwing them in your bathroom box, it was three drawers on wheels to keep things in when I'm away for long periods of time. "Anything I can do you for, sir?" I asked, making eye contact. The way he looked reminded me of my parents. It was hard to look at him but harder to look away. He shook his head. "No, not at the moment. You don't have to call me sir, love. Just Brian will be okay." He said smiling again. I nodded your head. I didn't mean to seem tense, but I couldn't help it.
"It's just you and me in here right now, but I want to get to know you, if that's alright." He said. "Alright, what would you like to know?" I said leaving the bathroom, sitting at the small table provided in my room. He sat across from me, facing the door. "Tell me about when you first listened to Queen." He said. "Hmm," I hummed, I don't really remember Queen becoming part of my life, they just were. "I can't say I remember, no. My parents," I choked at that word. "My parents, really enjoyed the music. Went to concerts all over the world, followed your A Night At The Opera tour, even. You all were part of our family. When Freddie died, it felt like they lost someone. It was very personal to them." I explained, chewing at my lip, praying he wouldn't ask what he was about to ask. "How did they react when you told them about this movie?" He asked curiously. I couldn't help but to get mad, but I couldn't show it at all, the man didn't know they were gone, it wasn't his fault.
'They were gone,' I thought.
I laughed to myself a bit. Not because it was funny, just ironic. I looked down, trying hard to not shed the tears that were already coming. "They, uh," I started. He grabbed my hand, he could tell this was hard for me. "They're no longer here." I said, wiping away the tears to keep my make up from running. He squeezed my hand, looking shocked and feeling the pain I felt. "They passed away in this crazy train wreck, it'll be two years next week actually. It happened about three hours south of here." I said trying not to lose control. "I haven't tried avoiding you or Roger by any means. It's just so painful still, but getting to know you two, two people who I've considered family my entire life, it's been incredible. Unreal. I'm so honored to assist you both." I said, looking in his eyes, with salty tears in mine. Right now, I just wanted Lola.
I felt a bond with him. Obviously not in a romantic, gross type of way. But I haven't felt a connection, a family connection, with someone in a while and I knew my body ached for it again.
"I'm so sorry, my love." He said. I shook my head. "No it's okay, I'm fine. It's still just so hard. I didn't have siblings, my parents, who were both only child's, are gone. My only family now is my husband and he comes home smelling like alcohol and uses me as a punching bag and a sex toy and-" I stopped myself when that came out. Brian grabbed my hand with his other hand. "You need to leave him, Leah. We're your family now." He said so genuinely. I shook my head. "No I'm just your assistant. That's all I'm good at is doing stuff for others. Not that I don't want to, I love helping you guys do things when you need help!" I said correcting myself, not wanting to sound ungrateful. I couldn't help but to break down. "I'm sorry." I said, I couldn't help but sob.
With that, my phone went off. The touring manager calls. I think it's about the set, there's been a lot of issues with that. "I'm sorry." I repeated. I felt bad because my problems weren't his and I know that, I just couldn't help telling him. And I left the room.
Ahh! So exciting finally getting to share this series! I might post part four later today. Hope you all are enjoying! Xx
